Sure he ain't doing me one If you were here
at the time, you can take this pots. We get
this beautiful studio, the beautiful television stud We created one
of an outstanding pre and post game showing that thing.
Speaker 6 (02:41):
There you go, and it's still going to this day.
Speaker 9 (02:45):
I still have. One of the best memories was that trip.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
I will never pray that Buffalo, Buffalo, how great buffalo.
Speaker 9 (02:53):
Listen. It could not have gone worse. It was the
worst trip ever. But we was a storm and we
couldn't land in Dallas, so we were just going around
in circles and circles and circles. And then we had
to go to Houston and land there so we can
get fuel and refuel the airplane. And then for those
(03:15):
who know Rob Phillips, I mean Brian couldn't do this
because he doesn't have the hair. But Rob's hair was
like this. He was just played by the way.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Rob hates fine Rob and I Rob and I.
Speaker 9 (03:25):
And Brian's like, okay, if we land here to get gas.
I'm getting now, I'm getting out. Who's coming with me?
I'm gonna rent a car and I'm gonna drive back
to the house.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Rob, Rob Phillips and I. If they opened that door,
Rob and I were gonna jump down out of the plane.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
And go to the dune stairs.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
You just got.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
I looked at it, and then Mickey's like, oh, we're circling.
Mickey was taking fun of it, but Rob, Rob and
I hated We flew through one of some of the
worst weather ever.
Speaker 9 (03:54):
It was terrible.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
It was terrible.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
You know, we're thinking about I think that would probably
make the cut. We're thinking about doing a documentary at
some point, road trips all the great stories of Dallas
Cowboys dot Com. Because there's so many really good ones,
so many really good ones. That would be a lot
of fun.
Speaker 9 (04:07):
But you know how we talked about the other day
about players laughing after a loss or whatever, like in
the plane that I have the biggest pep pee when
there's like a bad turbulence or that you're moving around
and people are like, eh, like enjoying it. I'm like,
I can't cost Oh it drives me nuts. Anyways, all right,
(04:29):
it was fun times.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
Well that was your last time, Amber and I will
be in New York watching. Brian will be holding it
down here in Dallas, like.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
We talked about five minutes ago.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be a good one. All right,
let's talk about some injuries. Cowboys injury reports still pretty large.
I think today's a big day for a lot of guys.
What are we hearing? Are we hearing anything about the
progress that any of these guys have made and what
we can expect sunday.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I can fill you in on two of them.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
All right, let's go for sure.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Okay, and it's on the left side of your offensive line, Okay,
is what it is as of right now and watching
I were doing our show this morning, so coming over.
I don't know if this has been updated or not,
but I haven't heard back. But I do know that
as this morning, like at six am, they had not
gotten Guiden through protocol yet. So that's still something that
has to be done, whether it's today tomorrow, but they
(05:19):
have to figure that one out. And then with Smith,
his situation is this is going to be a game
time decision. So now the plan is for him to
dress and then see what happens from that point on
or in the pregame at least take on the trip
and see what we got there.
Speaker 6 (05:36):
So is it a pain situation as far as that's concerned,
Like are they are they gauging the pain? As far
as how does he feel that morning to make that decision.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
I think it's to me just listen to talk. They
know what it is. It's been the tendonitis that's been
a problem, and they've been trying to manage that. It
doesn't sound like to me there was anything structurally that
was more significant than what the tendonitis stuff was. But
you know, they're gonna they're gonna have to see I
mean it's gonna you know, right now, it's looking like
(06:05):
it's like we said, a game time decision. This afternoon,
we'll get all the we'll get all the guys that
are going to be in or out. Uh, but that one,
I think they're gonna carry it to Sunday and see
how it goes. So this could be a really you
could potentially have just your right tackle being the only starter. Uh,
that's that you that you you have for your.
Speaker 6 (06:28):
For your team. Man, how much does that does that
concern you? Against this team.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Well, okay, go ahead, man, go ahead. You got this team.
You got the Jets.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Well, you know, Brian, I think the the Jets that
you get this year, they're not like the Jets that
we saw you know, uh, five or two, three years.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Ago, Bob solid Jets.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, they had all the rushes up and down.
I think you just have to deal with Quinn and Williams,
which is allowed to deal with. And you know, if
you can handle him, I think for the most part,
then I think you can kind of live and you know,
we'll see what happen here. But when you dealt with
a guy like him Dexter Lawrence, you know, you at
least have Booker around to kind of help with you know,
some of that some of that some of that power there.
(07:08):
So Hoffman and Bass and it's something I'm having, you know,
many convos with you know, different various people online. You know,
brock Hoffman and Bass are doing well, but you know,
those Dexter Lawrence types are different, those Quinn Williams types
are are are very different than Javon Dexter or you know,
some of these other guys. So it's gonna be a huge,
(07:28):
a huge test to kind of deal with that. And
you know, Dak is good with nonsense on the outside,
but with that middle situation happening, it gets even worse.
So if you go into this game and Big Tyler's
not playing and Tyler Guide is not playing, let's just
say both of them aren't. You know, Nate could play either,
but you need like one more guy.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
So it's just like, who is that guy?
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Identergy? I think it's gonna problem. Let tack. I think
I think it would probably be.
Speaker 6 (07:51):
I Dentity and at guard tackle.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Yeah, I think that to me, there's a couple of
different ways. And listen, we need to we need to
kind of see what's going on with some of the
other things that they might do there on the offensive line.
I know it's not a lot, they're not all options.
You know, they brought in a guy that signed before
the season, you know that kind of thing. So you know,
we'll see, we'll see how it really how it plays out.
But my gut feeling is that I Dentergy and Thomas
(08:19):
will be in some combination. We just need to figure
out which is which. There have been some some talk
that maybe Identity could play the guard spot. I think
maybe Thomas has shown that he could play the tackle.
We did it last week. Heck, before the injury to Geydon,
they were actually rotating the right tackle. You know, they
(08:39):
were given they were given Thomas some work with steel
without injury. That was just probably you know watching I
talked about that this morning, was that you're in a
situation where maybe the coaches came in and the offensive
line coaches said, listen, we need to get Thomas on
the field more. There's something there we need to work with.
And so they were doing it last week, even though
the head coach says he's not really interested in doing that.
(09:02):
You know, here we are today, but that left side
could be you know, uh, compromised, Yeah, it could be compromised.
Speaker 6 (09:08):
Let me ask you this is is Hoffman a better
center or guard?
Speaker 4 (09:12):
I like him better as a center because he gets
a lot of help at center. I don't think he's
a terribly powerful guy. I think a lot of people
see his chippiness and they'll call that him being powerful.
I don't think he's powerful. I think he'll fall down
on people that's falling down already, and he'll kind of
be aggressive. But I wouldn't call him super strong. I
want my guards to be powerful because then you can
go help the center as a powerful guard. I'm leaving
(09:34):
him at center and I'm not moving. But you talked
about this a couple weeks ago. Maybe the move is
put Keegan at center and maybe Hoffman and Bass run
guard for you. That may be an option for you,
because you know, hell, you out of everything at this point.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Yeah, Trevor Keagan, I mean that's that one was one
of those very quiet moves that was made before. And
then we know because of the familiarity that he had,
you know, playing you know, with with your with your
line coach here, so that that's one of the reasons
why they they claimed him. And you know, he's been
a guy, So Trevor Keagan might be a guy that
(10:06):
all of a sudden you're seeing this number seventy six
out there and you're kind of like, well, who is that. Well,
that's who Trevor Keagan is. And like I say, he
was with the Philadelphia waived him. He was with them
this summer. And then because of the familiarity, here's a
depth piece. But now you're kind of into you're into
backup to backup, yeah, you know, and now you're at
(10:27):
this thing, you know. And Johnny Cornelius is a guy too,
I know vat Is. We've talked about him on the
Draft show A bunch was this guy you know? And
potentially was he a guard that that was he a
tackle that they wanted to make a guard? It looked
like to me in the in training camp and all
that they kept him at tackle. So there are a
lot of movement parts with this offensive line, right.
Speaker 9 (10:46):
So with the changes in the offensive line currently, I mean,
do you guys, would you guys try to lean more
on the running game or like the running back, or
try to keep relying on Dak hopefully getting rid of
the ball pretty quickly and accurately.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
It all gets worse. I don't think you need to
try to change who you are. I think what's gonna
happen is they're gonna try and just see what happens.
And if we can run the ball, I think they're gonna.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Run the ball.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
If you know, we're not getting too much pressure and
we can block them up just fine. It may not
be all the pressure in the world. You know, you
may not get all the time in the pocket you
actually want. You may have to change some things up
but I think they're gonna give it a give it
a good shot. And I'll say that's what I like
about Dak and Shoddy this year is that they'll try
it and see what happens, and then they'll figure it out.
And once it's figured out, you know, flips on the
(11:34):
gas at that point. But it may take a driver
to can Derek.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Can I ask a question absolutely real quick and just
are they going to be asking too much of Dak?
And I mean this in the game, where are they
going to be asking too much of him? Is it
getting to the point Dak, don't don't don't focus on
the money. But Dak has played at an m VP level,
(11:58):
but now it's getting.
Speaker 9 (12:00):
Don't focus on the money. The first thing like popped
into my head.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
But that's what I'm saying, I mean, focus on focus
on me personally. I'm interested to see what you guys
see because I feel like he's playing at an MVP
level and to me, that's kind of where I'm hopeful
in this game. There you know, he might be down
all these linemen, He's probably gonna be down receivers again,
you know, is this are they asking a lot of him?
(12:25):
And you are we okay with that.
Speaker 6 (12:27):
Well, I'll tell you this, Brian. I was I assume
you guys watched that game last night, and as I
was watching that game, I was thinking to myself, this
is what you would consider to be a masterclass in coaching.
You think about over the last I don't know, five
to six seven years San Francisco, probably a little less
(12:47):
than that, But you think about how that offense ran.
You had Christian McCaffrey, you had George Kittle, you had
Deebo Samuel, you had Ayuk, you had used check and
the vast majority you had Purty running quarterback. The vast
majority of those guys were not playing for San Francisco
last night, and they had Mac Jones at quarterback, and
(13:08):
that offense was dicing them up. They were moving the
ball regularly. Yeah, they were moving the ball. And I'm like,
if there are times when you see teams that just
because of the way they're coached, they have the ability
to absorb even a large amount of defections, whether that
(13:28):
be through injury or losing players, and they're still able
to be productive. This to me, is going to be
a game where, yes, it's putting a lot of pressure
on Dak. It's putting even more pressure on Shoddy and
his coaching staff, and I think we're gonna learn a
lot about this coaching staff's ability. I think we've already
learned some things because what they did last week against
(13:49):
a good Green Bay team with half of their offensive
line missing, I thought was impressive. Now, if you go
into this game and let's say worst case scenario, you
lose four of your starting offensive lineman and your top
wide receiver and your third wide receiver, and this offense
still moves the ball. Now, I'm like, this coaching staff
(14:10):
knows what they're doing, and that will be credit to
the offensive line coach. That will also be credit to
Shoddy and this offensive staff. So I think yes, to
answer your question, yes, it puts pressure on more pressure
on Dak, But I think even more pressure goes on
the head coach and the offensive staff and seeing what
they can do even without their best parts.
Speaker 9 (14:27):
I see other few people here saying, oh, Dik can't
handle it, he's a badass. Let the run game help Dak. Yes,
it does put a lot of pressure on Dak. So
there is a good mix of like, now Dak is
ready to be able to handle that kind of pressure,
given the way he's been playing all season long so far.
(14:48):
But also, yes, you are risking a lot of things
by letting him be the guy so hopefully, and we've
seen shoddy, I mean, the way he's managed this, and
we saw it last week. I trust that they do
have the personnel on offense to be able to deal
with these new hurdles that they're facing with all these injuries.
(15:10):
But I'm curious to see how long that lasts, if
all these injuries continue to pile up.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
I think Dak and shot they are so locked in
right now. I don't even think it's difficult to them.
And you know, credit to the Jets and all that.
Like I said, you know they once were you know,
much more scary. I say, on defense, I don't think
that's the same defense. But regardless, even if it could
have been the Packers defense, Dak was comfortable last week.
Dak was comfortable in Philly. I think, you know, Shoty's
(15:39):
not getting in Dak's way. And I think if it
was some other some other head coach, some other ministrut,
some other play caller that I'm working no more, I
think that Dak would have to worry about that scheme
versus whatever's happening with defense or whatever. I think Dak
and Shoddy are down to a point where they don't
call none unless Dak loves it. And I think that's
where you see some of this comfort come from. As
(16:00):
far as the offensive line goes, that's dealt with Chuma
Doga and Tying Seki and all these guys, cam Irvin
and Fleming.
Speaker 7 (16:07):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
You know, I don't, I don't. I don't think brand
new Turtles is gonna be bad for him. And look
on those same offensive lines, Connor Wiis was out here
getting run all over the place. Beyond this was you know,
giving up, giving up nonsense in the middle. So I
think Dak is so hardened to this level of adversity
and you know, mess for lack of better words, I
think he looks at it.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
And I said this on my other st I just
I'll just say this.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
I think Dak sees this, and he sees it as
an opportunity to kind of puff his chest out and
brag a little bit if he can overcome it. I
think Dak is very aware of what the conversation is
around him.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
In his sixtieth year.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
I think when he goes out there versus Green Bay
with no lamb and all this kind of stuff, I say, huh,
look at look at look at what all y'all talking
Craze on TV, all you on social media, shady McCoy
with your goof yourself. Look at what I can do?
Look at what I can do without that. So I
think Dak is gonna take this as an opportunity without
turping and what eighty percent of your offensive line missing? Yeah,
(17:03):
I think Dak is gonna use it as an opportunity
to go, look at what I can do.
Speaker 6 (17:06):
Hey, if he does that, go and write it in
many MVP like that. This will take an MVP type
performance from Dak for them to be successful s weekend.
I know it's just the Jets, but it doesn't matter
like the NFL, when you yeah, when you've got when
you've got this many parts out and this many critical
parts out, I think we're about to find out a
lot about this team because also, let's remember, for the
(17:28):
last several years, the last few years, every time you
lose one of those top wide receivers, your offense screeches
to a halt or a running back like for that matter, right,
this team so far was able last week without their
top wide receiver and probably their top offensive playmaker to
still put up forty points. Now, let's see if you
(17:49):
take away their most dynamic offensive player and more of
their offensive line, can they do the same thing. And
if they do the same thing, yeah, Dak is on
a whole different level this year, and that's when you
start thinking, Okay, there's some possibilities for what this team
can become this year.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
Honestly, I think that's why I'm so mad at flu
saying what he's doing right, because I can see the
other side going, all right, y'ad, we got a new
adversity every single week, but they're still figuring this and
I think the Cowboys offense is getting better, yeah, through
this adversity, and we looking at the defense like, man,
I know you ain't got eleven, bro, but do something
like do something with your adversity. You know what I'm saying.
(18:24):
I'm not gonna talk for other about that. We gotta
go into a late break here, but damn flus, please.
Speaker 6 (18:28):
All right, let's take our f on.
Speaker 2 (18:29):

the most talented person every day.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
But they also said we should have had this game.
Have done sit to us yesterday.
Speaker 9 (22:02):
Okay, guys, listen. The way to success is for you
to be able to improvise at any time.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
But what happened is one thing in seven different languages,
like one sin is that one thing in seven lang.
Speaker 9 (22:14):
I had a different game plan for today, but I
accidentally deleted it from my notes and it's not in
my trash or anything. It just disappeared. So I improvised,
and I brought up another game that we have played
in the past, except.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
You basically turned in last year's homework because you lost
today's homework.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
It's you.
Speaker 9 (22:30):
Worry about you, No, it doesn't worry about put on
the notes on the computer. Okay, all right, So we're
gonna build a player.
Speaker 6 (22:38):
What's the difference between clutchness and clutch factor?
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Oh she did this on the fly. Dere what you doing?
Speaker 4 (22:45):
Mane?
Speaker 9 (22:45):
Oh my god, I'm sorry, man, get yourself some good
teammates and that will lead you to success. When you
have trouble in communication, it leads you to failure.
Speaker 15 (22:56):
Okay, the LEAs you see, Cowboy, we're gonna build a
player and we're gonna go through different traits and what
is the best trade that you would pick out of
players that are currently under the Cowboys roster.
Speaker 9 (23:12):
So we're gonna start with position. What position would you
want to have or build? We need a linebacker, So
so linebacker.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Yeah, yeah, well let's.
Speaker 6 (23:25):
Make a line Let's build a linebacker.
Speaker 9 (23:28):
What would you name your linebacker?
Speaker 6 (23:33):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (23:33):
You know.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
There's currently a dude in college name the Coldest to
ever do it? That's his name. I don't want to
laugh at this man, but he mama's is doing it.
Come on, man, the coldest to ever do it exist?
Back up of me, So break it down. What's first name?
Speaker 14 (23:49):
Was?
Speaker 6 (23:49):
Last name? The coldest, the coldest first name?
Speaker 4 (23:51):
His middle name might be to ever do it? And
name is like Johnson or something. Let me look this up.
Speaker 6 (23:58):
Come on, man.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
Always I always thought the best name was like Whitney merciless.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
For like, yeah, that's a great name.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Yeah, great name.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
Is the coldest Crawford. Yeah, the coldest Crawford to ever
do it? Crawford, Wait, to ever do it?
Speaker 6 (24:13):
Though? That's what? Are you sure? It's just not a nickname.
Nickname would be.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
The name that sounds like a great one for me. Man,
go with the coldest, the coldest ever do it?
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Crawford. That's his name.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
Let's go.
Speaker 9 (24:27):
All right, So this is a team project. I guess.
I guess we're need a linebacker. I guess now we're
doing a team project. All right, let's story.
Speaker 6 (24:36):
I'm not laughing at you, brother, I'm not laughing at
you all your family. I'm just telling the coldest. I
don't want this to get back like laughing.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
I'm not laughing at family.
Speaker 6 (24:44):
It's just like that. I've never heard of such a name.
But that's a football I Q. Oh sorry, okay, football
IQ for our linebacker.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
And I can't pull Sean Lee's mind.
Speaker 9 (24:54):
No current roster, current roster.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Who's the smartest player on us?
Speaker 6 (24:59):
Wait, we don't have to go defense like we can
look over at the Yeah.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
Anybody I think Dak knows defensive though, Yeah, let's go
Dack for this.
Speaker 9 (25:07):
We cannot repeat players, so you can only take one
good trade over somebody. I'm the one making the rules here,
so we can't.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
Okay, so cool, I'll use Dak's football IQ because he
might be the smartest player on the whole thing.
Speaker 6 (25:20):
Yeah, because I'm looking at all the other ones. I
can find somebody, I think in other categories, but football IQ,
I think Dak's the smartest player on this tryan.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
Yeah, that sounds about accurate for me, to be fair.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Though, Samborne is smart. He just get there. Yeah, he
knows know where to go.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
He just don't always get that fast, all right, so
later you do. For leadership, I think, but.
Speaker 6 (25:45):
There are the leaders right, how about for toughness.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
That tough than them? Up, I'm gonna go Dack on IQ.
I'm going that.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
I think.
Speaker 6 (25:53):
See he's pretty tough, pretty tough cee.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
He pretty smart, he is, right he is, because yeah,
I think there's times where he sees things and he knows,
he knows what's you know that how things are? You know,
Like I said that was the other day. It sounds
of the sidelines. You know, he knew exactly when that
lay was called and he saw what the exactly he
knew exactly that we're gonna score on that play.
Speaker 9 (26:14):
All right, So final answer, CD, you'll want to go
with ok CD, Okay, leadership, Well, of.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
Course, since we got Dack available to us, let's take that.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
Yeah, Deck's a bass, right, I agree?
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (26:27):
Okay, speed.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Probably your guy?
Speaker 6 (26:31):
Uh data a turping. Do you want to use turning
for anything else?
Speaker 3 (26:36):
How about overshown the way he runs?
Speaker 6 (26:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:41):
Are you gonna use him for something else for we?
Speaker 4 (26:45):
You know, we haven't seen Blue play though, like he
is he gonna be like as fast as we think
he's gonna be, or is.
Speaker 6 (26:50):
Well fast as fast because we know he might he
might not.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
He's got time speed.
Speaker 6 (26:54):
Yeah, it might not translate the way we wanted to,
but I'm just saying like fastest.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Fast, like we know Turpin's that kind of thing. Yeah, yeah,
I want to go turping on speed.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
I would turping, like I said, I said, over shown
the way he closes and stuff. I would, but I
would think I think the first two Turping was the
first one.
Speaker 6 (27:14):
Yeah, tell you what, let's go with. Let's go with
turping on speed because I think I want to go
with when we get to agility elusiveness. That's why I
was thinking, do I want to save turping? But I
think I got somebody else for that one.
Speaker 9 (27:27):
All right, so let's go right into that next one.
Agility and elusiveness.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
Okay, I would go there. I would go Demo because
I think he has like if you start thinking about
like you would take Brian. You mentioned him for speed.
I think the way he moves around the field like
he knows how to kind of maneuver through trash get
to the spot he's trying to get to without losing
a lot of speed as he's getting there. Now, you
could always go with one of the wide receivers, I think,
(27:51):
but I think thinking about a linebacker, I think he
has a pretty good amount of agility for a big.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Guy on the practice squad.
Speaker 6 (27:59):
He would We'll se him a few weeks.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
I'll go over over for a joke.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
Yeah, that sounds quality to me, all right.
Speaker 9 (28:08):
Toughness we are u c D.
Speaker 7 (28:12):
Do we use?
Speaker 9 (28:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (28:14):
Okay, Donovan Wilson, Yeah yeah. When you start to talk
about the way, I mean playing down how it made
Bell is a tough guy too, because he played linebacker
basically in that ding package. I would even I would
say Kenny Clark too.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
I was gonna say, where are we gonna use Kenny
because he got Let me say this, can I can
I take leadership off off of deck? Because I think
Dak might like because when I think toughest, I think
physically and like mentally, you know what I'm saying. I
think Dak's mental toughness means something too.
Speaker 6 (28:44):
I agree, you know what I mean. So where you're
gonna put? So what are you who you're gonna put
in for Dak at leadership?
Speaker 4 (28:49):
You could put like you can put Donovan right like
Donald was a cool leader, that was leadership.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
You think he's like he's a captain.
Speaker 6 (28:57):
Do you do you think he is a like? When
I think of of Dak, one thing I I have
heard about Dak. I'm not in the locker room, but
what I've heard about Dak is every player in that
locker room respects him. That's the first tenet of leadership.
Do you have their respect?
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Mulligan on something right now too? I remember Mulligan on
the quickness and the looseness? Is that James Houston.
Speaker 6 (29:20):
Mm more than demo?
Speaker 9 (29:22):
Though?
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Oh no, yeah, well I just I was just I just.
Speaker 6 (29:25):
If you're trying to say demo for another yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
For another category. But no, let's go.
Speaker 6 (29:30):
I just I don't.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (29:32):
I don't know that there's another another person in that
locker room that has the like if Zach was still here,
you could say Zach, but that has across the board
offense and defense, has everybody in that locker room's respect
like that.
Speaker 9 (29:45):
Okay, okay, okay, So we're sticking with dyk on leadership
to toughness.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
Jake Ferguson to Jake Ferguson gets rocked a lot. Yeah,
matter of fact, he gets Yeah, he's he gets hit
on those seams, and you know, I mean, yeah, the
Philadelphia we had to miss there. But overall, if you
look at how he plays, you know, I will talk
about he even admitted he goes man, I'll let Mike
get me the other day, you know. But like overall,
(30:12):
when you watch the ball thrown to him and how
he plays and his trying to make plays, he just
he hadn't had the run after catch he's had in
the past. My man could take some shots and kind
of hang on that way.
Speaker 6 (30:24):
I was just about to say, we missing Javante. The
way he runs, he runs tough, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
I don't, he don't. He don't slow down at all.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
Yeah, I would say, I think we go with Javante.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
You want to say.
Speaker 9 (30:35):
William Clutch, who's the who's the one player? You would say, Oh,
he's a clutch player.
Speaker 6 (30:49):
He just stepped up to a sixty more. That's easy.
Coach you, Yeah, what do you need coach that guy?
Speaker 3 (30:55):
The defensive coordinator in Philadelphia said, he goes, hey, get
ready in Dallas, that guy's gonna kick as seventy yard
field goal.
Speaker 6 (31:01):
Yeah. I didn't like his whole that whole little thing
because he's kind of saying that there that that people
are the kickers are now being able to kind of
juice balls, And I'm like, oh, I don't think that's
what's happening. They get they do get it early, but
that's getting it earlier doesn't mean you necessarily con uice
It just means you can make it maybe instead of
it being a slippery ball that you haven't had a
chance to kind of work the leather a little bit.
(31:23):
That's not necessarily juicing the ball, you know.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
No, I've seen Bucky beat the footballs up though. Yeah,
but that's just again, I.
Speaker 6 (31:29):
Don't think that's I don't think that's changing the football
other than making it less slippery, right, making it you know,
for playing football.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
They're in a better spot right Yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:40):
And by the way, but was kicking these before they
got this opportunity. He's been kicking these long field goals
for a minute.
Speaker 9 (31:46):
Yeah, all right, Aubrey confidence. Who's the guy that portrays
confidence on the field.
Speaker 6 (31:53):
We could pretty much put Dack in all these times.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
You can't.
Speaker 6 (31:55):
You can literally put him in every single one of them.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Mm hmmm. Where do you got Tyler Smith in this
whole thing? It's like a confident when he plays, nobody
bothers him. I mean it doesn't.
Speaker 6 (32:09):
Maybe Pickens, What about Pickens?
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Biggest confident picks, very confident.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
I think all these there's a lot of guys in
there that, you know, think data.
Speaker 6 (32:17):
Yeah, it's hard to get to this level and not
think you.
Speaker 9 (32:21):
So Finance or Pickens or Smith.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
I go Pickings.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
Pickens is fine, Pickings is cool.
Speaker 9 (32:26):
Okay. Personality I just threw this one in.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
For a linebacker.
Speaker 4 (32:33):
I want him to be like a chippy, tough dude
that pushed people around and bump into them, just like pushing,
keep bothering people.
Speaker 9 (32:40):
Just yeah, yeah, okay, So I'm gonna read the whole thing,
and then you guys told.
Speaker 6 (32:46):
Me cold.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
To ever do it?
Speaker 6 (32:53):
Crawford is the best part.
Speaker 9 (32:55):
Linebacker. Name the coldest or.
Speaker 6 (33:00):
The coldest it. Okay, we're gonna use craw We're gonna
use like we can't name him the exact same name as.
Speaker 9 (33:07):
To cast zero Korea on this show, by the way,
for the q CD leadership dak speed, turpin, agility, slash, elusiveness, overshown, toughness,
jamant to Williams, clutch player, Aubrey, confidence, Pickens, personality, Hoffman,
(33:28):
all right, sign him, sign him.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
Is there any one of the lists that she gave
that you feel like that? Which which one do you
think is the top one of all those traits for
a linebacker? Yeah? For the lineback, No, No, just of
the player. If you said, okay, this this is the
number one trait, This is the number one guy.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
It might be the best leader football has ever seen.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
That's what I'm saying. It is the most important thing
for your linebacker going to be the leadership line Yeah
for this?
Speaker 6 (33:55):
Yeah, for this For a guy, I would say I
would say confidence. I mean I would say a toughness
for a linebacker.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Toughness.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
I want my linebacker to just so, Dak, Dak.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Is your number one for what we want our linebacker
to be.
Speaker 4 (34:07):
Fair if Donovan Wilson was two thirty, yeah, and just
kept everything else like how we attacks it all this yeah,
I said, the leadership patch and all this kind hell yeah.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
Yeah, a linebacker and safety.
Speaker 9 (34:18):
Body, who's your best tackler right now?
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Tackle? Al Yeah, that's a whole nother question, man, I know,
but let's.
Speaker 9 (34:25):
Just add it. We're talking you about linebacker here.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
You know, if we got a good.
Speaker 6 (34:28):
They had, they've had some problems, especially if you had.
Speaker 9 (34:31):
To pick one out of all the games you've seen.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
When Kenny Clark grass people, he don't let him go.
I say that, but as far as your your skill
playing tackling guys, they've had some issues tackling.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
I can't.
Speaker 6 (34:42):
I can't say either one of the linebackers. I've been
just like, oh yeah, when he hit somebody, they going down.
I don't know that I've seen the consistency there like that.
Maris he's probably the best of the group.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
Of the group.
Speaker 9 (34:54):
Yeah, yeah, one from I mean, obviously that's where those
are the your limited based on the positions, because not
everyone on the team tackles, but.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
I'm going Kenny Clark, Kenny Clark, I would have to go.
And when he's grabbed somebody, they don't, they don't get
away from him.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
That's good.
Speaker 9 (35:11):
Okay, all right, that's it. That's all you got, yes,
because we gotta go to break.
Speaker 6 (35:17):

Speaker 6 (38:38):
No, I mean, what do they do.
Speaker 9 (38:40):
There's there's I might even name him, but there's this
nobody on here.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Can you start doing this what I'm saying?
Speaker 9 (38:47):
He's like, oh, what a garbage show for a Friday.
Don't listen, bro, Like, who's making you listen? You can
easily just tune out. Nobody's forcing you. You have free
will as of now, So like, got off of that.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
Don't like that's how it sounds. He sounds just like that.
Speaker 9 (39:05):
Yeah, I don't know, but sounds like someone miserable. Yeah,
I should get off anybody. But at the same time,
we have a lot of cool, cool people in the chat.
So by the way, we don't let one negative thing
take over all the other positive yeah shout out, yeah, yeah,
(39:26):
shout out to everybody else on this chat making positive comments. Yeah,
having fun.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
But buddy can just go huh.
Speaker 9 (39:33):
Yeah, let me give him. Oh what I started doing
is whoever starts talking nonsense, I just give them a
baby bottle. I need to send them. I do the
baby bottle in moji.
Speaker 6 (39:47):
So you should have never introduced am. But you should
have never introduced that's the best comeback.
Speaker 9 (39:52):
I feel like you're talking that. Here's yeah the baby
So you shut them up with the baby.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Bottle and so funny.
Speaker 6 (40:01):
All right, all right, let's did she tell you what
to do?
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (40:04):
Right, and I'm gonna do it too. All right, here
we go.
Speaker 9 (40:07):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (40:07):
So, I got a couple of questions for you guys
about this upcoming matchup. Check this out. New York Jets
have allowed more points than all but four teams not
by the way, the Cowboys have a lot allowed more
points at all but one team. Uh in the NFL?
Do you expect this is going to be a high
scoring shootout? And if so, who does that favor?
Speaker 4 (40:23):
I think it's gonna be a shootout every single week,
and I think it's hard to favor either side. But
I think no matter what the team is, no matter
who the quarterback is, I think they're gonna be capable
of throwing for three hundred four hundred yards and putting
up points against Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
That's why I think, yeah, this one. Uh. The thing
that I worry about though, is Dallas has not shown
the ability to get pressure. And the one thing that
you need to do is get pressure on this guy.
He's very similar to what you saw. This guy is
a different quarterback. We saw love last week. When you
got pressure on him, he you know, it affected him.
Falls were in the dirt, he was grounding him, missing
(40:58):
some passes. This guy's the same way. My worry is
when we went into the Chicago game, we were talking
about Caleb Williams potentially running because if Caleb's Williams can't
throw the football, then he's going to run. But you
made Caleb Williams comfortable and so now he stood in
the pocket and made throws. That's my biggest fear. You know,
when you watch the Jets tape, there are times when
(41:19):
he does drop back and he'll throw the ball down
the field. You know, Garrett Wilson's a hell of a player.
So to me, you know, how are you going to
find a way to get pressure? That's where this game
because I believe if you do blitz and you come
after it, you will affect this offensive line and you
will affect their backs. But you let you just rush
for and not get home. It's got a potential to
(41:41):
be a high scoring game, even with the Cowboys being
compromised at wide receiver and offensive line.
Speaker 9 (41:48):
I'll and I agree with everything you guys said, but
I'm going to give a different answer. Something that concerns
me here and that we haven't talked about it this
week is the field them play on. That field and
the amount of injuries that the Cowboys have piled off
right now, so you having your own banged up team.
It concerns me because sometimes when you're playing under pressure
(42:13):
as far as like let's say the defense trying to
get to that tackle, trying to make that tackle or
trying to get to that player, is does this feel
make you more prone to injuries? That's something that we
have seen in years. So yeah, I'm just concerned about
injuries right now.
Speaker 4 (42:31):
I think teams playing outside is ghetto anyway at this point.
You know what I mean, build you builds you a
little dumb and quit playing bro. But I mean, that's
that's something to think about. But as long as it's
not like raining and people slipping around, I would hope
that they're fine. But the Cowboys, cowboy's hurt anyway. Man,
what you know, there's one injury that will really set
all this off and sent us in the draft season,
so you know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (42:52):
But that's not the one we want and anything else.
But it seems like they can do it stand a lot.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
They can they can deal with it.
Speaker 6 (42:58):
Yeah, all right, real quick? Are the other question after
you guys, which player for the Jets do you think
is most dangerous based on the matchups and based upon
Dallas's perceived weaknesses, Quinn Williams, Justin Fields, Garrett Wilson or
Will McDonald.
Speaker 4 (43:15):
Quinn is their best player, but I think the quarterback
from the other team is gonna be the biggest problem
until Flues gets his thing butting up. You know, you
can go out there and as soon that Russell Wilson
and Kayler Wiggins won't have career days against you, But
then they just go out and do so until they
prove me otherwise. I would have to assume that justin fields,
throwing a ball, not just running, just feels throwing about.
I assume he gonna throw a four huney yards until
(43:36):
the Cowboys defense prove me wrong.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
Yeah, I like what you did on that. I'm gonna
take Garrett Wilson on this one too. I'm gonna take
I think to me with Garrett, I mean the quarterback.
If he feels comfortable, man, that is a that's a
bad matchup right there. You're playing zone, all the deep
crossing routes across the field stuff. I mean, this guy
running run after catch and all that. I mean, and
he can make contested catches too, to you know, contort
(44:01):
his body. I'm gonna think that the wide receiver can
do some damage here.
Speaker 9 (44:05):
I don't want to repeat answers, but to me, it
has to be the quarterback. It feels like if we
talked about the lack of pressure, and again, if you
allow him to be comfortable, they're gonna kill you all
day long. They're gonna And that's the biggest thing right now,
is just creating enough pressure to throw him off. Because
(44:26):
at least in the running game, when you look at that,
the Cowboys have had a very decent run defense, so
you can at least deal with that. But if you
allow the quarterback to feel comfortable and make those big,
long deep throws and escape the pocket and all that,
you're gonna be in for a long day.
Speaker 6 (44:44):
All right, let's get some picks. Tell me what you
think is gonna happen on Sunday. Who wins? What's the score?
Speaker 4 (44:48):
Cowboys gonna beat the hell out of Just because I'm
a homer, I got the score being fifty six to
like thirty eight.
Speaker 3 (44:54):
Yeah, I'm gonna pick the Jets in this one. I
think that the injuries are gonna be too much for
the Cowboys across South. It's if. I will see how
it all plays out. But you know, I do worry
about the Dallas defense in this one, and I think
it's going to be too much. I think I'm also
a big believer in the desperate team theory. I think
Dallas played like a desperate team last week. They got
to they got the tie. I don't think the Jets
(45:15):
could go down zero to five right now. I just
think it's going to be tough. They've should have won
a couple of these games. They just have it so
I'm gonna go with the Jets on this one. It's
gonna be a twenty A twenty.
Speaker 4 (45:25):
Four Cowboys didn't win last week, neither Brian would. Wouldn't
that make them a little more desperate too?
Speaker 3 (45:30):
No, I think I think they had a really good
chance of winning that game last week the way they played.
But you know, unfortunately the defensive thing, it just scares
me with what they're doing right now.
Speaker 9 (45:39):
Yes, sir, I was gonna say that the I feel
the Cowboys have just as much pressure right now, so
I'm gonna pick them to win this game. It's gonna
be in my mind thirty twenty four something like that.
But I do think that the Cowboys managed to get
a win out of.
Speaker 6 (45:54):
This one, and I'm gonna flip this thing on its head.
I think this is gonna be a game that will
be a low scoring game. I think both teams are
gonna have some struggles offensively. I think it's going to
be the first time this season where we see the
Dallas defense actually show up and play really good football.
I think because I think that this defending this team
is really about the quarterback. If you can stop the quarterback,
(46:17):
then you can have a pretty good day against the Jets,
and I think they will finally figure that piece out
and it will start to look more like a well
coordinated defense because I don't think this is players just
being horrible players. I think a lot of this is
about time, time on task, guys playing together, coaches getting
an opportunity to see what guys can do. So I
think it levels out at some point. I think this
(46:38):
is the kind of week when it can, especially with
all the players that they will lose offensively potentially for
the Cowboys, I think it is a game where the
defense is gonna have to be that and so I
look at this being a Cowboys win sixteen thirteen off
the road in New York. Will see how that ball.
Speaker 4 (46:54):
If the Cowboys hold the just to thirteen points, were
gonna see Joe Milden in the fourth quarter. That I
think that I really think, as be down as the
Cowboys offense is, the Jets defense just hasn't been great.
They just had now look maybe they as a quick.
Speaker 6 (47:09):
Question, please, what's Chicago's defense?
Speaker 3 (47:11):
Great? Man?
Speaker 4 (47:11):
But you know, sometimes when you when you when you
get in the game script of them scoring, it kind
of messed you up a little bit. So if the
Jets can't score, we're going to Golden Corral, sir.
Speaker 6 (47:21):
Well, the way I look at that is I also
think this is a game where the Cowboys may say,
we end up we're going to run the ball a
little bit more, and that may slow down everything, so
you're not having a lot of those big strikes. I
also wonder are the is the passing game going to
be able to be as effective without a Cavante Turpin
out there? If you've basically got pickings and then the
other guys that you got and none of them really
(47:42):
scares a defense, does that affect your offense? And now
you're running the ball a lot more, slows down everything.
I just think it's going to be one of those
kind of games. I really do. I don't think this
is going to be a high scoring game.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
I feel you.
Speaker 4 (47:53):
But I think we're moving into this territory where the
other teams are are looking at four, like four as
one of those guys. Now, yeah, of who y'all got
like Flora Noid tober Tober's wide receiver two this week,
and that's that's gonna be something to work through. But
I think they're looking at number four like this is
the best we've ever we've ever seen them, and they
better button it up.
Speaker 2 (48:11):
It's gonna be alone that I agree with that.
Speaker 6 (48:13):
All right, appreciate you guys. Jones will be back on Monday.
We'll tell you what went right and wrong for the Cowboys.
Till then for Voxygen Party, Brian brought us in Ambergarcia.
