Speaker 1 (00:00):
Production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys

(00:02):
football clubs.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Let's are you ready for a break?

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Are you ready for a break?

Speaker 4 (00:15):
Absolutely ready for a break.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah, and so much for that.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
It's time for the Break on Dallas Cowboys dot Com.
Were with mbar Garcia, Brian brought us Votch Lombardi and
Derek Eagleton.

Speaker 5 (00:35):
Hello, guys, welcome back to another episode of the Break,
presented by lgo Lead. We are here at s WBC Studios,
and we apologize for starting the show four five minutes late.
Mister Vouch was late to the show, so apparently we
gotta have work around his time, the YouTuber. They gotta

(00:56):
work around the YouTuber time around here.

Speaker 6 (00:58):
That is true.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Very busy, very busy, but that as busy as you though.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
We're gonna get the show started. And I was gonna
say for the second segment, we're gonna do. Brian brought
us a segment, and then for the third one, I thought,
since Derek promised this a while ago and never got
to it, we thought we opened up the phone line.
The phone calls, call us up, be nice, be good,

(01:24):
keep it real if you want to all right, Yeah, yeah,
but here's the phone number real quick. I'll say it
again later on the show eight eight eight eight five
five two two nine to seven, so I'll repeat it later.
But I wanted to get started for and talk about
some of the guys that were injured. Schottenheimer. He announced

(01:48):
that he will open the twenty one day window return
to practice window for Cooper Bebe, shevn Revel and then
the Marvin overshown, and on top of that, Jonathan Mingo
he will be activated off the injury reserve and he's
gonna return to the fifty three roster. So wanted to
go through each guy and discuss their potential return here shortly. Specifically,

(02:13):
let's start with Cooper bb I know, if you've guys,
and you've mentioned the center position and some of the
struggles that you've started noticing there currently, what does this
mean to have Cooper Bby returned to the lineup.

Speaker 7 (02:26):
It's gonna be massive. I just want to take a
second and give a shout out to brock Hoffman and TJ.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Bash. You guys did exactly what you were asked to do.

Speaker 7 (02:34):
And I know it's tough, and you know, I think
everybody in the league is kind of having an offensive
line problem, you know, shuts out to those guys, but
you have a certain idea of what your offensive line
can be. And they held it down for a handful
of weeks, and that's what they are as backups. Can
you hold it down for two three weeks, But you're
gonna run in some you know, some dudes this week.
I don't know if BB's gonna be back this week,

(02:56):
but there's some d line in DES's coming over the
next five or so weeks to where you want to
be powerful at you know center again. So uh, you know,
Booker showed you like movement, run game, stuff like that matters.
I think BB being back will just push that a
little bit more.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Yeah, I think I think vatch this one perfectly. Yeah,
you want that center back into the mix, and you
know you're starting to run the football. You know it's
getting to the point. Yeah, the Carolina game was kind
of poor for you when it came to run, and
you're gonna need to play and have some power against
some big inside guys. And he's mentioned about this week,
we'll get into the Denver Broncos. They play a front

(03:31):
that's a three four front, so you're gonna have to
deal with a nose tackle, two tackles inside as well,
you know, and those and the with the nose tackle,
and then the ends and then the outside linebackers, so
all that it's gonna be very similar to maybe what
you saw a little bit with with Carolina and just
the way that they play with big bodies inside. You

(03:51):
just did not handle that particularly well. So it'll be
a little bit of a challenge this week. But having
BB back will surely give you a little bit more
of an advantage of when you do run across these
teams that have those big inside defensive players.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
And now you feel a lot more comfortable knowing what
you actually have in as far as depth there at
the center position and also the rest of the lineman.
Now moving on to Chavon Revel, I know he's a
guy that we have all been excited and looking forward
to having on the field, but we have yet to
see it. So what are your like realistic expectations for

(04:30):
a guy like him.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
This is the weird thing about Corner.

Speaker 7 (04:34):
You know, first of all, you kind of get drafted on,
you know how you are as a man guy, But
you could be a really good cover three corner for
a team that's playing cover three better than some other guy.
That's just like a really good man corner. So the
thing about Revel is you may look at him and say, well,
he's a rookie and he may not be as you
know good or you know, may not have time on
task like some of these other guys. But what if

(04:56):
he knows exactly what Flus is trying to do. And
if you go back to his film, if you just watch,
he does a bunch of zone, a bunch of match
and matches basically you know, zone until it's man. And
that's that's that's what he was really good at and
that's what made him, in Brian's opinion, the best corner
in the draft. He was like the second best for me.
Uh So it's not even about the whole rookie thing

(05:16):
because at corner, it's not like your Tyler Booker and
you got to rastle with some grown man at corner.
If you can simply fit the system and if you
can communicate, I'm sure he's been you know, going over
plays and stuff like that because he ain't really been practicing,
so he's he's been getting mental reps. If he can
go in and simply communicate better than someone like Kyrie
Elam and no diice to him. I just think he's he's,

(05:38):
you know, more of a man cover guy than a
zone match dude. If if Revel can be a better
zone match guy than somebody playing you know, playing over
him right now, I think he'll be a better fit
for the Cowboys altogether.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Before his knee injury, I thought he was one of
the best cornerbacks in the country. I love the way
that he played at East Carolina. I think his story
is fascinating, uh by what he's been able to accomplish.
I feel like if he wasn't hurt, Dallas would have
never been able to draft him. You'd have probably had
to draft him a lot higher than where they took him,
you know. And there's now the unknown. Is the player

(06:13):
I saw before the knee injury was special. I don't
know now what the player is that's coming off the
knee injury. I know he's a hard working guy. Everybody
talks about him super positively when it comes to being
on the field, when he comes to doing his assignments,
when it comes to being diligent, all those things I'm
talking about working with Britt Brown and those guys, everything
to me has been super.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
Positive that way.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Probably not probably had a little setback in training camp
or with this thing, would have started a lot sooner.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
You know.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Now they're kind of dealing with dealing with that. But
the timeline will probably be a lot like with Overstrow,
it'll probably the we'll see, you know, if it's the
it's the three weeks, the twenty one days and then
go for there. But this guy has the ability to
come in and help you. The unknown for me right
now is how is how's that knee injury going to

(07:01):
affect him? Is it going to rob him of some
opportunities of being that player that he once was.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Well, the good thing is you mentioned Britt Brown, and
we know history has shown with this medical staff they
tend to do a really good job by bringing players
back from major injuries. And I remember Jalen Smith. We
it was talked about how he could potentially never even
play football again, and he did come back. So looking

(07:29):
forward to it and maybe the mental part of it
doesn't affect him once he gets into the field, because
that's another thing that can restrain you mentally and you know,
set you back a little bit. But I think that
watching from the sidelines and just seeing everybody go it
fires you. It fires you up to go back in there.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
They've got a couple of things that They've got a
couple of these players that man, if they if they
both can come back from injuries, if they get over
and they get and they get the corner back, and
those guys come in in the second half and play
to the level that we believed that they could play at,
this would be huge for the.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Steve let's say Diggs as well too.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Yeah, yeah, And we're just waiting to him to come
out and say whatever it is that he's going to
say about his incident, the situation. But you need him
to come out and be better as well. And if Flus,
I mean last week they played man at like forty
nine percent, right, So that's.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
What Diggs wanted to do.

Speaker 7 (08:26):
If Diggs can go out there and play good corner,
if Rever can fit in, he got to be a superstar.
Just go fit in and be better than what we have.
And if overshown, I think it's asking a lot of him. Yeah,
but last year I actually learned about how the rehab
you know, situation works. You know through him, because I
thought that if you just got hurt, I just thought
that you just stayed hurt for a long time. But
apparently it's how you attack rehab. So Overshwan got hurt

(08:49):
the year before, and he came back last year he
was just fine, like ten toes down, I'm ready to
fly around all over the place, and he didn't miss
a step. So hopefully that him attacking his new rehab process,
that will that will you get the same results. It's
so unfair to ask over Shown, Hey man, we're gonna
bear the burden of this entire defense on you coming back,
but it is what it is that got the whole offense, right,

(09:10):
Sean is on you for defense play.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Yeah, And I think I'm not saying, hey, let's cut
him some slack if he does kind of not played
at the level that we're expecting him to. But you
got to because when you see him speak to the
media and you see the efforts that he put in,
you see that he has the utmost desire to be
out there. He's been taking his rehab super serious. And

(09:33):
then so that takes you you respect the player and
you're like, okay, well, we know, we know he's been
putting in the work. We know he has that goal
set for himself, and he's not as maybe some other
players have been before where they're not as serious when
it comes to the commitment to the rehab.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
Now moving on to Jonathan Mingo, Oh, were you gonna
say something?

Speaker 7 (09:58):
No, no, no, you just you just made a really
good point. And when you make good points, I don't
want to cut you off. As that's a great point
because some people in Cowboy past, we would assume that
they didn't work really hard at it and they tore
their acl they had a bad year and they like
retired after We're like, damn, what was going on? And
just it just comes out later that they just didn't
like football like that. They came back when to another
team and they just quit football again. Overshewn like he's

(10:19):
putting time into us. I just thought, you you know,
he just made a really good point.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
Yeah he had. He has strong desires and I recently
watched the video actually this morning from a fan that
run into some like autograph signing or something. He did
a video of him and Overshowing. It's just like, you know,
he's sudden like comeback player of the Year and a
Defensive Player of the Year. But yeah, he's it's just

(10:45):
he has those desire of like even MVP Super Bowl MVP,
So he he got the goal line and the goal
set and he's you know, I think when you have
those intentions, you can only bring good to.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yeah, I think it's important that what j said, I
think they need to buy in from. They need to
buy in from Digs. And I say that in respective
Digs and his rehab was different because he's talented and
you know it. Yeah, his rehab was different, and it
was much talked about within the front office and ownership
and then you know, in the player and stuff.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
But honestly, you you need him to play.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
You need him to be if they're going to if
they're going to do some things differently scheme wise and
try and get a little bit cleaner analytics of like, Okay,
if this guy doesn't do well against man coverage, we
play more man coverage. But man, a buy in from
Diggs would be big right now. You know, if he
comes out and says, Okay, hey, I'm gonna go out
there and I'm gonna show you guys this, I'm gonna

(11:41):
show you that. And because I think there's a lot
of there's a lot of disconnect right now between him
and you know and people in this organization, and I'd
love to see for him to buy in not just
for you know, just for himself, but for the guys,
you know, for the Dak Prescott's, for the guys on
that offensive side, for the guys who are playing on defense,

(12:01):
you know, they need they need a buy in from
a talented player. And it would be nice if, in fact,
after this concussion protocol stuff he's going through, that he
could go out there and be the type of player
that he's very capable of being.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
Well, we said it before, like the most important thing
you can do for a game day is what you
do during the week. Your commitment during the week, because
what how you show up in the game, like, You're
not going to improve during the game automatically, it's what
you put into to get there for that week. So
I think that's where potentially we get better commitment, because

(12:36):
I think we hear, we hear a lot of talks,
we see things.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
And may it's always two sides of the story though,
right right, the dig side and there's the front office side,
and in both camp Yeah, that's but no, That's what
I'm saying though, that I'm not going after Digs here.
I just feel like that they're going to need him.
They're going to need him, and I hope, I hope
sitting out this past week kind of re kindled something

(13:00):
to him that Hey, okay, yeah, I want to if
I have issues with front office or whoever the coach is, whoever,
just go out and play for your brothers. Go out
and play for the guys that you share locker space with.
Those are those are the guys you need to you know,
not only for yourself, but go play and be the
type of player you're capable of and put a lot

(13:20):
of this stuff behind you if you can.

Speaker 6 (13:22):
It might be very hard for him to do well.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
Real quick, before we go to break. Yesterday you post
a question about where are we freaking out about the
wide receivers and trying to.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Find Oh yeah, well, now with.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
Mingo into the mix.

Speaker 7 (13:34):
Who cares, Hey look and shouts out of Mingo. But
Mingo is gonna come in. He's gonna block a whole
bunch and he may catch a passwords or get a
target or too or whatever like that.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
But I think we're I.

Speaker 7 (13:45):
Don't want to say long going past the days where
we're over obsessing over who's not getting you know, passed,
or who is that's that's not named limb and pickings.
I think this thing is going to drive through those
guys and run game. So when they're not catching passes,
Javonte's catch me because like he was getting like thirteen
carries in week one or something like that. The last
few weeks been like nineteen and twenty and stuff like that.

(14:07):
So I think the Cowboys want to lean into the
run more so, more runs, less pass the go around,
no dispect, but I'm not throwing Tomingo when I could
be throwing it to land, but Mingo catch is here there,
he'll block some Did you.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
Have anything, Well, he's got them bright.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
All right, let's go right into break and when we
come back. I hate saying this, but Brian's got a

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Got some questions for my guys here and uh kind
of some things that was on my mind and I
want to know if it's on their mind as well.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Votch.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
I'll start with you on this one.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
If you were the Broncos defensive coordinator, Vance Joseph, who
would you be more concerned about Ceedee Lamb or George Pickens.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Listen, Brian Bruh. You gotta be careful with questions like that.

Speaker 16 (17:47):
Man.

Speaker 7 (17:47):
You know the Internet is going to hear that. People
in the chat and the audience they're going to hear that.
Let me just be clear. I think Ceedee Lamb is
a is a better overall receiver. I think him and
Dak Prescott have a fantastic that's the connection. Ceedee Lamb
makes a bunch of high IQ plays, you know. But
if you wanted to take Ceedee Lamb away, it ain't easy,

(18:10):
but there's a path to do it. You know, you
can set up some things and structure some coverages and
maybe kind of take away city look kind of like
they'll take tight ends away because.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
They you know, targets those guys.

Speaker 7 (18:22):
Right, it is really difficult in a one on one
situation to take George Pickens away. It's incredibly difficult. You
talk about advance Joseph. Now we have like, you know,
personnel details of that, right, you can you can you
can put you can like shadow ceedee Lamb because he'll
be moving all over the field and stuff, you know,
chase you know, you can put a guy on.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Him and man and then zone the rest of it.

Speaker 7 (18:44):
If there's ever a look in the game where Pickings
has one on one, out of all the seven weeks
that we've seen them, it's either been a catch or
pass interference, it's been a catch or damn p I
Brian brought us so for the sake of this conversation,
which is a well crafted question Brian brought, I think
Lamb is a better receiver. I think GP would give

(19:05):
a coordinator a bigger headache because he's so difficult in
a one on one situation.

Speaker 5 (19:10):
You know, I agree with everything you said. Please I'll
be like Brian, excellent point.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
And that'll be true, thank you.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
But at the same time, I will say I will
say this week specifically, and one is healthier than the other. Still,
Pickens is healthier than CD. And CD had a wonderful
game last week, but there were times where he's when

(19:40):
he's getting up, you see a little limping going on,
and he's fighting through it. He's fighting through it, but
you can tell that he's not at one hundred percent.
So for that reason, if there's someone for you to
fear the most, is the one that's healthy one hundred percent.
And then on top of that, a freaking badass like
he can catch that ball just like you said, like anyway,

(20:03):
most often than not, he had one of the most
impressive catches I've seen in them while this past weekend
where I don't even know how he caught that, but
he caught that pass. So yeah, I will say Pickens
for sure.

Speaker 6 (20:17):
Is he is he turning into your number one receiver?

Speaker 7 (20:21):
I don't think so, because I think, like I said,
Lamb and Dak are like locked in sure and they
do all things and and look, I don't even want
to call pickings like a side kick. It's not like
Batman to Rob and it's like Justice League. You just Aquaman,
you just you just one's good in the one's good
in the hood, one's good in the water, bron This

(20:41):
is what it is. But I just think they do
things totally different. Pardon me, They just do things differently.
And I think it's really going to be matchup dependent, right.
I think, all right, this week, Marshawn Latimore, you're gonna
be running around with pickings all day. All right, well
we'll find you, okay, Sandra Still, I think we got
lucky with the Washington Football Wizards having two weird corners

(21:03):
that we can kind of go after. I think next week,
when it's like Certain and Riley Moss, I want to
say what I said, you know earlier, but when it's
you can say it, but I can't. When is when
is a certain maybe Certain takes one guy away, kind
of like if we look at the Jets game, right,
Sauce Garden for the most part took GP away. GP
had a big play, but he was taken away for

(21:25):
the most part. But Florio had nine catches. I think
it's going to be matchal dependent.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
Well, I also think, even though I've been saying for
several weeks how much I appreciate the fact that Brian Scholtenheimer,
he's been like on a merit basis basically when he
plays players and when he gives them priority and things
like that. But with cit this is different. Like, I
think it would take a lot for you, and I

(21:50):
see what you're doing, Brian, but I think it's it's
gonna take a lot for them to kind of fully
take that main role away from him. And I think
it all goes back to the balance. Like what they
just create opportunities for each other.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
So when is that a frustrating question? I asked, Then
it's not frustrating.

Speaker 7 (22:12):
It just requires nuance and just a little bit of thought,
because I think what the Internet wants to do is
they want to just come out George Piggins is better
than Cdlan. I think there's gonna be and think about
like this, right, Lamb had a easy one hundred some
yards last week.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 7 (22:28):
How many times have you looked up at like at
like pickings and he's made a bunch of big catch.
You go, damn eighty something, y'ard I thought you had
one fifty by now, because you know, just it just
looks more difficult. Lamb got an easy one hundred and
seventeen years. Think about the Eagles game where Lamb ended
up with one hundred and seventeen yards, but three drops
that could have been an additional ninety something yards, right,
I think, I think you know we can get a

(22:49):
little carried away with the new toy, but don't get
the mistaken pickings is phenomenal, and sign them right now. Jerry,
if you listen, you're probably not because you're busy talking
about some other players.

Speaker 6 (22:58):
He's in New York at Theodres meeting right now. He
definitely work on some trades.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Derek listening, Derek, go ahead and get.

Speaker 5 (23:04):
A He is not listening at all.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
Right, AG, I got she appreciates our show.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Mama brought us. Please go ahead sign GP okay?

Speaker 6 (23:16):
AG.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Was this a turn the corner game for Clowney?

Speaker 5 (23:26):
You could say so, I think you gotta start somewhere
to when you start turning a corner. I will say
it does bring more confidence, It lights up on you,
firing you. I think when you do find some type
of success, you just are prone to keep building on

(23:47):
that now, I love to talk about consistency. We gotta
wait and see what happens now against Denver, But at
the moment I would say, yeah, you could say turn
the corner and maybe now he goes in theirs and
commends the defense differently, because we talked about leadership in there,

(24:12):
and you're like, Okay, well who is the leader? Whose
voice are you listening to? Well the voice you listen
to is whoever's the one making plays. So I think
that's the key for me, is that hopefully he can
now take that and start building that leadership into it
and just kind of push that energy towards everybody else

(24:35):
and help in the communication as well.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
Pachi, what you got there? Is this a turn the
quarner game for Todavian Clown?

Speaker 7 (24:42):
We really can add him to the list of guys
that we mentioned earlier that we need to kind of
show up and be good later. I would say, so,
it'll be nice to have an extra dude like step
up and be and be a good pass rush. And
I do think that this room will eventually figure itself out.
I'm not shooting shots in but Sam played a little
less this week. James Houston played a little more this week.

(25:04):
I don't like that James Houston played against Larry mottuns
with the whole game, I would have loved it influes
would have moved him around a little bit to kind
of help us in that matchup a little bit. But
things are changing. We are noticing things change. And shouts
out to this coaching staff for noting as well. I
think donvinez Roco's also on the way up. He's been
He's that guy that's been involved more so. I think
you could just use Clowny badly right now. So it

(25:25):
ain't just Clowny need to be, like we need Clowny
to be to be great to take that next step.
So if we go out there and you know, have
another game, cool and hopefully it's just those first few games.
It was a little rusty. Hey man, I've been sitting
on the couch. I didn't really have a camp. I've
been working out, but I just kind of popped up
and played football and I look weird for two weeks.
And maybe last week was Clowny getting his feet wet

(25:45):
a little bit. I hope that that's what it was.
And versus the Broncos, we could see much more clowning.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
All right, I'll come back to you on this one then, Vach.
Hell yeah, Brian, let's be the last one because I
know you want to get some calls a g.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
And ball goal lead at forty five.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
But I want to give I want to get I
want to get the fans some opportunity. They want to
call Himachi. What do you think of Shamar James as
a player.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Gives you some energy, give you some juice.

Speaker 7 (26:17):
For some reason, the the youth comes on the field
and things start to spark a little bit cook could
be because they're they're they're they're hungry for an opportunity.
I think as a player, when you limit his responsibilities
is when he's at his best. So him being a
green dye guy may not be in his best interest.
But he's been really good at his run fits. So

(26:39):
if he if his job is hey Shamar, you got
b gap and then figure it out. He's been really
good at stepping up in this gap and then figure
it out. Hey Schamar, you're blitzing this play. And I
think Flus has kind of gotten the groove with the
blitzing linebacker situation. You know, he he got a sacked
last week, so I think that they're going to be
looking more into that. And honestly, uh, this would have

(27:01):
been an interesting conversation if Clark was doing more sure,
but maybe he's not. So we're seeing most of those
reps go to Shamarr. Samborne was active, right he was
Sanmborne didn't get reps though, so maybe the coaching staff
is trusting him as well.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Brian.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
So just as a player, look, stay active, keep doing
your thing, and if you got one job, do you
one job. I'll say this about a young guy too.
They're not as inclined to play hero ball as much
because they ain't really got experience, you know, trying to
be hero guys. They're they're more than likely going to
show up and just do whatever their job is. So
if Shamar is doing his job, keep doing your job.
I don't I don't hate it at all. Just do

(27:39):
right there and this defense works on you doing your
job and not be an extra ag.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
Does he look like a better player than say Maryslia
foul at this point?

Speaker 2 (27:48):
He playing more at times?

Speaker 5 (27:51):
At times, I will say literally, the only thing that
I feel like I'm lacking from Schamar James is something
that only comes with time, and that's instinct. That is
how quickly you react to something or as seconds before
it's happening, where you know how to read things ahead time,

(28:14):
get ahead of anticipation. Yes, that's the only thing, but
that only comes with time. I think he's doing his assignments.
You meant mentioned youth. He has exactly that, the youth
with the jews that goes in there, and it's just energetic.
I think he's someone that can be a better tackler

(28:39):
like in the future. I think once that confidence comes
in with the anticipation, it will improve his tackling as
well because he'll get there a lot faster. So I'm
super excited about the future for him. But that's literally
the only thing I could say right now, and you can't.
You can't accelerate time because it only comes with every

(29:02):
Sunday night, every game, every game day. All right, let's
go ahead and go to our break. I don't know
how many more you said that's it.

Speaker 2 (29:10):

Speaker 5 (32:09):
At and t connecting changes everything. Welcome back to the
third segment of the Break And like I like to
give my promises, we said we're going to get some
phone calls and we are so. Our first caller is
Brian from Denver.

Speaker 16 (32:26):
Hey, guys, thanks for taking my call. Yeah, and our
thanks for all you do with the mother Ship.

Speaker 15 (32:33):
And I'm a subscriber to both their guys and YouTube channels.

Speaker 16 (32:37):
Botch Broduct, So that's great. But Brian Product, I got
so mad at you in the off season when you
said that Jade and Daniel and Terry mcclaurin were better
than Dak and Peb.

Speaker 8 (32:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (32:55):
I forgive you now, but as far as this game goes,
I am going to the game, and uh, I just
bought a blue Javante Williams Jersey Patrol patrol all the fans,
and I know that the Cowboys don't really ever show
up in Denver, so I'm hoping that changes. And I'm
calling a sixty nine yarder walk off kick in the

(33:16):
elevation for Aubrey from the Dove.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Okay, did you have a question?

Speaker 16 (33:23):
Not enough question. I just wanted to tell.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
You guys that I was wrong.

Speaker 8 (33:28):
Thanks.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
I'm still waiting for Dak and CD to get in
that NFC Championship game together.

Speaker 7 (33:32):
Though, Yeah, yeah, that's that's fair. But did you did
you hear him say, man, Brian, do you know what
I'm saying? Well, we just reached the reach.

Speaker 5 (33:42):
Oh god, the reach.

Speaker 7 (33:45):
We got followers over there, they're my family.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
We got great But.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
Thank you Brian for the call. And I'm interested to
see with the elevations. I remember that one.

Speaker 6 (33:57):
Game last time you were there.

Speaker 5 (33:58):
That one came. Everyone played bad, everybody and everybody was like, wow,
is it the elevation? They can't breathe there truggling, which
is it's a fact. It's a scientifical, you know, scientific
fact that the elevation.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Does scientifical yea and Spanish scientific.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
You'll see in defficult yeah, that the elevation affects your lungs.
Button man.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
We use science to list, but we use science to
combat the sun. The other day we were fine with science.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
We got satellite images, we.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Know, we know what the altitude, we know how it is,
and walking there, they remind you called the mile High City.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
All right, let's go ahead and take our second call.
John in New Mexico.

Speaker 8 (34:43):
Hello, John, Hey, guys, how you doing. Appreciate you guys
taking my call. Longtime fan, longtime listener, Brian, I've been
listening to you since you're on the break with Derek
and Mickey, and you guys were butting heads since then.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
So I appreciate all you guys do I miss Mickey,
thank you.

Speaker 8 (34:58):
Yeah, I know you do it. That's why I said it.
Just and to your question, Clowney, I think he's getting
his footing. Uh Honestly, I think that he's finally getting
into football shape, and hopefully with ibra fluse and him
changing a little bit up, I'm hoping our defense can
come around and we can actually see you and us
cowboy fans you know, hopefully they will be the team

(35:23):
we think they are and because of this defense, because
the offense, you know, is what it is. But I
just want to get on first time call her. I
just wanted to say thank you, guys for all you do.
Thank you and watch nice hearing a new voice on
the radio and Amber so most Cowboys in vatch language,

(35:51):
I said, thank you for what she does and coboys.

Speaker 9 (35:54):
I.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
Thank you, John, thank you so much for the call.
Uh A true fan right there? Did you follow some
Coways already?

Speaker 6 (36:04):
Yeah, I'm going to.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Check the number one up one time, so I'm not one.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
But with Clowney, I think I hope you guys are right.
I hope that this is a turnaround moment for him
and that it was just getting back into football shape
because look week when was it that he got here two.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Weeks weeks ago week?

Speaker 7 (36:24):
Yeah, he was out the first week he played Carolina,
spend here a month.

Speaker 5 (36:27):
Basically, Yeah, it's fair to call him some slack.

Speaker 7 (36:30):
Yeah, we need a ton of defense because when I'm
watching some of these other teams and they're playing much
better defense than we do, and then I see their offenses,
I say, I was watching Gibbs last night for the Lions.
I was like, hey, man, we I don't think we
got enough guys right now to deal with that, or
just watching Baker and what he does, or like the Patriots,
the or the Chiefs and all this kinds of like

(36:51):
teams that we got to play, you know what I mean.
I'm just like, it's just looking rough. So I think
you have the offense to compete with anybody. We just
need some defense, and I think more than then, just
something like you know, a couple of weeks ago, I
was like, man, just a little bit more defense will
be better. I think the offenses that we played the
past few weeks aren't going to be like the offense
that we're going to play, So we need a ton

(37:11):
of help, I think. So that's why this little room
that's that's flowing around that got me glued to my phone.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
Just freaking out. But we won't talk about it on
the show. You guys can go and check it out
on Twitter and all that, and if the news break,
they break, but right now we don't have anything confirmed,
so we will not discuss it on the show. Let's
go ahead and take our third caller much It's all right,
you're gonna make it. It's all right, You'll be all right.
Well you're hanging there. What is it hanging there? We

(37:37):
got Nelson from North Carolina.

Speaker 15 (37:41):
Hey, guys, their body doing? How are you good? So
my question basically is for Brian and I was just wondering,
like with the signing resigning our George Pickens looming, Uh,
do you think it would be this front office would
be less inclined to go after a big time edge

(38:03):
rusher or or what. I'm just kind of curious.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
I think, yeah, I think that if you if you
sign Pickens, that would be.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
I think then now you.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Start talking about drafting defensive players, is what you do?
I think now it turns into the picks. You have
the first couple of picks you're going to have to
you know, a dress well, do you need a linebacker,
do you need a safety, do you need a corner,
do you need a defensive tackle?

Speaker 6 (38:27):
Do you need an edge?

Speaker 3 (38:28):
I think that, you know, Dallas is going to be
very specific, and we'll see how the their their first pick,
how their own pick falls in line. If they keep
playing well Green Bay keeps playing well, there's two picks
there at the bottom of the first round that you're
going to have to deal. So I kind of feel
like that there right now, if if a gig and
if Pickens is re signed, then you're probably looking at

(38:51):
taking those picks and going and getting defensive players.

Speaker 5 (38:54):
We'll see what happens with that. I know a lot
of people are really pressuring to sign Pickens and do
something already now.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
That the well if Jerry Jones this morning before our show,
talked about this on the radio. He on one O
five three of the Fan. He said that there's been
a lot of conversations about about George Pickens and on
many different levels, and so, you know, and being a
part of a front office, there are all kinds of
things that you do talk about, you know, and you

(39:22):
talk about, hey, what are chances to resign him? Have
we done that? The cap guys will then speak up
and say, well, this is what it's going to potentially
cost us, and then how it's going to affect us
in the future. The pro personnel guys are saying, well,
this is I talked to a couple of teams about
potential trades. Uh, you know, this is how that would
look if we were interested in moving on from George Pickens.

(39:46):
Just again, this is conversations that you have at these levels. Yeah,
and then there's the conversations of from the coaching staff.

Speaker 6 (39:54):
Where are the head coach?

Speaker 3 (39:55):
It's like, listen, if you take him away or we
keep him, this is what we can kind of do
in the future if we move on from him, do
we feel good enough about the other receivers that are
in line? So there's when Jerry Jones is talking about
a wide range of conversations. It's exactly what I just
walked you through. There's the coaching side, the scouting side,

(40:20):
and then there's the and then there's the front office
or the cap guys that will determine, you know, which
way you go.

Speaker 5 (40:26):
Let's take our final call. We have Leo in Histon.

Speaker 15 (40:31):
What's going on?

Speaker 8 (40:32):
Guys, Hey, listen, I know we've got this running game
going right, it's doing fairly well.

Speaker 15 (40:40):
What would happen if we lost a couple.

Speaker 5 (40:44):
Of alignment and Jake Ferguson got hurt?

Speaker 8 (40:48):
Would that hurt us?

Speaker 5 (40:49):
I know Jake fergus is really opening up some things.

Speaker 15 (40:53):
Is he a better blocker now?

Speaker 8 (40:55):
And is that why we're having a good success along
with the old line.

Speaker 7 (41:00):
Well, your run scheme is fantastic, that's part of it.
And you have lost a whole bunch of offensive line. You
just hues play some games.

Speaker 6 (41:07):
You want to go, you want a game? He went
lost four.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
Yeah, he lost four of them.

Speaker 7 (41:10):
So uh no, I mean you have some pretty good
depth on your offensive line and you have a good
run scheme. Clayton Adams need to get a brown paper
bag full of money on his desk to hang around
one more year. And I think your play caller head
coach is calling the right players at the right time.
And there you know he's committing to the run game
and not just saying that he.

Speaker 3 (41:31):
Is scheme play caller, quarterback all helping the running game,
but on the other hand, scheme offensive line running back
helping the quarterback.

Speaker 6 (41:40):
So yeah, there's there's.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
A lot of Marion going on right now with While
like Dak needed this, but man, I'll tell you what
they also, the Cowboys needed a scheme and a coaching
staff that can implement with what they're currently with. The
nobody invests more in offensive line play than the Cowboys.
When you start to talk about resources of high picks,
you know soon to be paid guys.

Speaker 5 (42:03):
Well and I think personally some of the things I've
seen also with other players, it's improof blocking. I mean,
we talk about you.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
I think span Ford, Span Span much more than Ferguson.
Yeah much, We're Ferguson is done. It's some some cool stuff,
but it's time span Ford lip key.

Speaker 7 (42:24):
Ye.

Speaker 6 (42:24):
Those guys have been been nice the way that I.

Speaker 5 (42:26):
Think it's compared to last year. You've definitely seen that
area improved absolutely from from last year. All right, well
with that we end the show. Thank you everybody, Thank
you so much for tuning in, for calling.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
Good job and bar the show did not crumble with
Derek not being a kid. You did great. Can you
see me get out of here? Can you see me.

Speaker 5 (42:47):
Get out of here?

Speaker 6 (42:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (42:50):
I can't even.

Speaker 10 (42:50):
I'm not even.

Speaker 5 (42:51):
No matter doesn't matter if you reach that's crazy, Like,
what do you mean? What do you mean?

Speaker 6 (42:56):
No?

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Sis, you did great? Great, good job?

Speaker 6 (42:59):
Could yo, good job Clowney.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
Michael, Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (43:12):
All right, well, thank you guys so much, Thank you,
thank you Botch and thank you guys.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Back tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (43:20):
Derek will be back in the show tomorrow, all right.
For yes, we will have the full breakdown of the
Broncos offense versus the Cowboys defense, and we'll see how
that matchup looks for Barty Lombardi. Bryan brought us Remember
