This episode covers stories about the oldest members of our family that we personally knew, Eden’s Great Grandparents. This episode brings to light some of the most interesting personal stories of our family tree. As appropriate, mom joins us for this episode to represent her side of the family.  It turns out that both mom and dad’s ancestral folks that grew up in the early 1900s had experiences that rivaled anything us youngsters could ever contrive. We learn about our glamourous ancestors, divorce, The Depression, gun play, hunting and fishing stories, quirky sayings and ways they all made their way through life’s challenges. Many of these stories are about how they overcame obstacles, found ways to survive, and manage to make things better for their future generations. And, upon reflection, we some insight into how life was for people back in the day. Hope you enjoy it.

As with all of our episodes, this is a standalone episode, which means that you don’t have to listen to any other episode to enjoy this one. We hope you find this short conversation interesting. If you would like to share your comments and questions please …

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
