(00:17):
Welcome to Dazer Update for August 24th, 2025.
I'm your host, Chris Emoji. I'm Brandon Perkins.
And I'm Janet Victorio. And yeah, we've got a big week
of news this week. As a.
Bunch of things have happened. Games Com happens, which was a
fun little show. Bunch of stuff there to talk
about as well as everything elsethat happened.

(00:39):
Tony Games got dates, including one that let's say broke people,
as well as a bunch of other stuff.
So we know more about what's coming out through the rest of
this year, including some stuff that got announced for later.

(01:01):
I don't know how much of these are for this year or not, but we
got that. We got some develop developer
news and such. But before we get to all that,
we'll talk about what we've beenplaying and I'll kick it off
here as yeah, I've been playing a bunch of hurdling a game that
is the the newest game from Locomotive.

(01:21):
I reviewed it, gave it A5 out offive because I really enjoyed
it. I got to the end of the game and
I was like writing up the reviewand I was like, there's nothing
really negative in here. And I was like, yeah, I don't
think I have anything negative to say about this game, which is
a rare thing to to happen when you get through a game.
You're like, I don't know if there's anything here that I

(01:44):
would say negatively impacted myenjoyment of this game.
So, yeah, it is much like their previous games, far loan sales
and far changing Tides. It is a game about a young
person sort of getting out of their home, whatever that is,

(02:04):
and going on this sort of big journey out into the distance.
This being a 3D game instead of a 2D game, it's much easier to
see sort of where you're going. Whereas in those other two
games, you kind of had a an opportunity to kind of zoom out
to kind of see ahead of you a bit.

(02:26):
That could still be a challenge, especially if you did not know
necessarily what to do to deal with it.
And I would say the other big difference here is that you are
sort of controlling this herd ofcalicorns, which of these weird
little goofy creatures. I have to look at my review for

(02:49):
the specific references, but I referenced a few different
animals. They are kind of the the mixture
of and I had to specifically look up like big furry
creatures, parts sheepdog, part yak and part Guinea pig for a
lot of their vibes for the way they look.

(03:13):
And they initially, you know, are a kid who seems to be
homeless living in this tunnel in this city who wanders out and
happens upon one of these helicorns with like a big pot
stuck on its head. So you go and free it.
And from there you kind of get this big stick that allows you

(03:35):
to guide them for where they're going.
And it's a the weird thing is the way the game kind of starts
off with that stuff, it's almostframed like it's an RTS thing
where you're pinging a place forthem to go in a way, but it
doesn't really work that way. You're just kind of hitting the

(03:58):
the right trigger to kind of tell them to go to just in a
direction and they can just kindof keep wondering versus you're
able to hold the button down, pull the trigger button down and
just kind of guide as you're moving around them.
You got the left triggers or your dash, so you can run around
quickly if they're kind of goingin the wrong direction for what

(04:20):
you need. But also you can hit the circle
button twice to just whistle andhave them stop.
So if they're are about to run into bad stuff, you can stop
that and redirect them. What else?
The there are obstacles that canhurt these creatures.

(04:44):
They seem to have two points of health.
Essentially after the first point, their coat will turn red,
as you know, like like it's bloodied.
If you get a fruit from a nearbyBush, you can heal them up from
that. But I believe if you let them

(05:06):
get you know, hit or whatever while red I assume they die.
I did not get to that point in my first play through the game.
I did have there's some like preplanned points where they can
like slide off the edge of a of a bridge or something but you

(05:26):
can run over and pull them back if you need to.
You do have birds that are a particular enemy for a good
chunk of the game with which they kind of get angered by
these, like little statues that get knocked out that you can
knock over and alert them, but if you avoid them, you can get

(05:49):
away clean. But they're also points where
they do some more stuff with that in such a way.
So there's a lot of opportunities for potentially
getting these creatures harmed, but I feel like there are also
plenty of ways to avoid that forthe most part.
And if you don't like the way that's that stuff happens, there

(06:12):
is an accessibility option to give them immortality or
invincibility I guess. And also the if you go pause and
go to load game, it'll probably be from a couple minutes ago and
give you a chance to retry a thing.
No real harm or foul there. I can only do that once because

(06:34):
I did not see what was going on and had a bunch of calicorns in
a way that are just blocking me from getting around them.
I was like how you jerks get outof the way and I just, I just
reloaded because I knew what wasgoing on.
I was like, yes, that wasn't great.
But yeah, fun thing. You can name all the calicorns.
They have a name generator with a bunch of seemed like a bunch

(06:59):
of English names and some from probably other languages.
At a certain point I started naming some of them other
things. And you also can find little
decorations around the environment to hang on their
horns and there's also harness thing that can kind of wrap

(07:23):
around their horns to that further decoration.
I managed to get the Brophy for finding all the harnesses, which
I think was like 5 or 6, but I did not get the one for finding
all the Calcorns and so I've been doing a second playthrough,
streaming that and enjoying thata lot.
I did find one that I did not find before and I suspect

(07:47):
there's maybe one or two more that I did not find before, so
I'm going to see if I can get them all.
But yeah, been enjoying that game a lot in like their
previous games is not a super long game.
I think my first playthrough is maybe five hours.
It doesn't have a counter or anything on it.

(08:08):
I'm just going by what it says on the the PS-5 dashboard for
that. But yeah, another cool thing is
you get to pet the as part of the taming process, you can sort
of pet them. You can do it at any point that,
you know, nobody's moving. And they do a lot of fun

(08:30):
different animations for the, the different sizes.
There's three sides, like a, a big, medium and small.
The small guys act like little dogs.
They got their tongues wagging out of their, their mouth and
all that. When you're doing that.
The middle guys just love being scratched like around their,
their necks and their bodies. And the big guys like getting
their faces rubbed and hugs and all that.

(08:52):
So that was a nice moment there. But yeah, you get a little
breaks every so often as you find like a little camp area
where usually one of them runs off and finds a little ball to
throw around or that's and others will go around and help
you find pieces of wood for for the fire.

(09:14):
And from there you can not lightthat up.
You get like a little painting that lights up as well.
It's got some journey elements to it and yeah, it's it's one of
those games I don't want to spoil too much about like
environments and situations you get into and all that, but it
does some really cool stuff and it was just a joy to play kind

(09:37):
of one of those one of those great games come at a good time
for me needing something to be sort of positive and fun, and
this was one of those. It's out on everything but the
switch to it's on the the regular Switch.
I believe it's 25 bucks for the game with some discount launch

(10:02):
discount stuff on some of these platforms.
I believe it's also on Game Passif you want to check it out
there. But yeah, really enjoyed it.
Kind of consider it their journey for the the way they've
been making games and they're the ultimate form of what
they've been working on and I hope they get to keep making

(10:24):
cool stuff. So yeah, there's hardly let's
see. Also played some of the Rogue
Prince of Persia as we'll talk about a little bit later.
Kind of came out this week randomly as we knew it was going
to come out in August, but they had not given a date or
anything, I guess just announcedit and at some random games comp

(10:47):
thing. So with that, it's also on game
pass and PlayStation Plus, so you can check it out.
So this is the Prince of Persia game made by the the other team
that was working on dead cells at the main studios, sort of the
support studio that was doing a lot of the post launch update
stuff. And so did not be a huge

(11:10):
surprise that this game has a lot of similarities to Dead
Cells. On the way.
The lot of it works, you're kindof going through these areas,
taking out enemies. It kind of has a little bit of
branching in the level design sothat you may decide to go
certain ways and avoid a bunch of potential combats.

(11:30):
But you also might not get, you know, collectibles and, you
know, currency stuff if you don't go everywhere.
But between those stages you go through like a little shop area.
So, so far I'm still in like thefirst first few runs before it

(11:51):
really opens up as it's just kind of unlocking more stuff for
the, the Oasis is sort of the area between runs you go to that
has, you know, different shopkeepers and such showing up
there, usually as you find them in the in the city.
But yeah, the game starts with the Prince fighting these bad

(12:12):
guys, the Huns, and they have some magical thing to them that
the Prince seems to not take into consideration that maybe he
shouldn't go in head first on this fight, but decides to
anyway and gets killed or mostlykilled, you know, almost killed,

(12:33):
but gets saved by a character named Pachi who, whose father is
apparently the one that created the the Bola, which is the the
trinket around his neck. Where when he died, he gets
rewound to the last place he slept and sort of sets up the,
the rogue like elements of this game.

(12:54):
And this she kind of saves him and kind of gets him to
understand. And you know, that's he thinks
he's just been out for a little bit, but he's been out for like
3 days at this points and his city has been attacked.
He's worried about his parents and his Big Brother, their

(13:19):
whereabouts, and also getting back at the the bad guy as the
one that nearly killed him. You're kind of progressing
through these stages, taking outenemies and all that, and you've
got interesting mechanics for getting around.
So he's got a little bit of the the stuff that wasn't Dead
Cells, but it's got wall runningand a 2D game, which is pretty

(13:41):
interesting. You basically hold down the left
trigger, do wall run. So you can do that vertically,
horizontally, diagonally a decent bits and use that with
the the jumping mechanics and what not to get up onto, you
know, walls to run up or jump off of poles in the wall to grab

(14:07):
onto and either swing on or juststand on and jump from or just
run up to get onto other platforms and all that kind of
stuff. It makes for some pretty
interesting extension of the like way you're able to get
around these stages. That is pretty neat.
You also have a yeah, dash button or dodge button on the

(14:29):
right trigger, which is mostly used for combat, but can also be
used for like if you run up a wall jump off, you can use the
dash to essentially get back to the wall again and run it up
some more. So you're going to get more
distance up a wall, that kind ofstuff.
That is pretty neat. And yeah, it's it's got a lot of

(14:51):
cool stuff to it. The combat's pretty simple so
far, but it has the dead Cells kind of thing where every run
you starts it drops off two different random weapons, your
main weapon and your side weapon.
Side weapons are usable by filling up a meter that has
three bars on it and you fill itup with attacks with your main

(15:13):
weapon kind of thing and then you get a special thing on the
like it's triangle again still early in the game but there's a
lot of need for dodging because often times your your main
weapon combo won't destroy an enemy up front without like

(15:36):
dodging behind them kind of continuing the combo.
But there's also options for if you find big boulders around you
can kick them into the enemies. You can also kick enemies off of
ledges and most likely kill themwhen they drop below all that
kind of stuff. I thought a pretty good boss but

(15:56):
got killed during its that the main way you were dodging their
attacks was kind of running up the wall to go over them kind of
stuff. That was pretty neat.
Yeah, it seems pretty neat so far.
I don't know how it is going to be, but it definitely has a lot
of the the Dead Cells DNA to it for the way that works, and

(16:18):
that's been pretty good so far. I'm also at the point where I
have a character that I can essentially buy blueprints for
other weapons that can drop in that run.
But it's not loot based like Dead Cells was where you could
have enemies drop stuff different points they could
maybe upgrade from but maybe that'll be added in at some

(16:39):
point. But it seems like a lot of this
is for the the weapons that get dropped right at the beginning
of the stage. But maybe that stuff will get
added later. But for now that's what I've
been doing so that's cool. I was been playing a bit of
Sword of the Sea which seems neat as well.
This is the the new game from Giant Squid, makers of AB Zoo

(17:03):
and the Pathless, with at least one of the heads of the studio
was on the team that made Journey and Flower, the art
director, I believe. So this game kind of takes a lot
of that kind of specific elements.
Yes it does. The desert and the sea elements
of journey and kind of mashes them together in a lot of ways

(17:27):
as you get to areas where you'llactivate a thing and it'll just
pause the immediate area around like a tower and be looking like
a you know, you're looking into the sea kind of thing.
I've not played a ton of this, maybe about 45 minutes or so,
but Devon has a lot of good sideareas for extra things you can

(17:49):
get have the the trick system sofar, which doesn't add up, you
know, any, you know, kind of score anything.
But it seems to add a little bitof extra variety when you want
to do things. But it doesn't have like a, a
way to fall off of your sword oranything while you're doing
attacks. You can sit there and do stuff

(18:10):
until you are about to land and you'll just land it.
So it's not particularly picky about any of that stuff.
It's mainly just a game about going around these areas,
looking for little side areas and getting, you know, currency
and there's at least like 1 collectible I've seen so far
like in that stuff that you can spend too by upgrades and such.

(18:33):
So like by your way through areas at least that's been neat.
Look forward to put some more time into that.
And then the last one is Chibi Robo, because that was available
on the game Cube app on the switch to I played a a good hour
or two of that and I was not expecting it to be as much of AI

(18:59):
don't like a I'm based not really adventure game, but
you're kind of going around and just picking stuff up and
talking to characters. There's a little bit of
platforming, but you don't really have any jump to you
really. A lot of your ability to get up
to places is more just walking up to them and a meter fills up

(19:22):
and your character just climbs up kind of thing.
So there's not as much platform as I was kind of expecting, but
the the story is very much of its era when you could probably
see this being influenced by stuff like Katamari Damacy and
other wacky little Japanese games that we're getting big
over here in the in the West. Because yeah, it's got a lot of

(19:45):
that stuff is the basic story isthat Jenny is a frog girl or a
girl that likes to wear her frogmask and just says rabbit all
the time. And her mom's not happy about
that. And her dad is kind of cool with
it. And so they're giving her
presents. The mom gets her new hats or a

(20:06):
bow or something for her hair and she doesn't want it.
But her dad gets her very expensive chibi robo robot thing
that the mom's not happy about because it's expensive.
And he's like, hey, whatever, I'll sleep on the, you know.
She banishes into the sleeping on the couch.
In the living room and he seems happy with that because he just

(20:29):
gets the Linus couch with the and watch TV.
There's a weird little dog too. Just run around kind of doing
stuff collecting, you know, rashthat you can throw away for
currencies that you can use to spend on upgrading things about
your character and all that. It's pretty neat.

(20:55):
Yeah, not really too much else to say.
It's just very weird little game.
You slowly explore the rest of the house when the the adults
are not around the the toys cometo life and do things.
There's like a good Sentai character boy, I figure what his
name is, but he's got a nice pose and he teaches your

(21:16):
character, your chibi Robo, how to do it when he's wearing his
suit. So there's a lot of good stuff
like that in there. So that's been fun, but that's
been pretty much what I've been doing.
So how about you, Brandon? Well, As for me, I finished Sly
Cooper 2 last night and yeah, I that that last bit of the game,

(21:41):
it can be extremely frustrating because the, the physics of the
physics of the Sly Cooper games are notoriously kind of finicky,
especially when it comes to the later parts where you're having
to like jump long distances and stuff.
They kind of nail it down betterwith Sly 3, which is, you know,

(22:01):
I'm going to start playing Sly 3:00 tonight.
But yeah, that game still as good as I remember it was.
I just also remember, you know, it was this weird sort of, you
know, the transitionary period where they were trying to make
the games longer. But yeah, so I will be playing

(22:22):
Sly 3 tonight. The other games I've been
playing, I've been playing stufffrom my PlayStation Plus
account. One of them is this quirky
little indie game called Indica, where you play as this nun in a
convent in like either late 19thcentury or like very, very early

(22:44):
20th century Russia. And it's kind of hard to
describe to people to try and sell them on it because it's
it's one of those games you really do kind of have to
experience it yourself to reallyunderstand.
All you really need to know is Indica, the nun that you play,
she's not really well liked and the convent that she's in,

(23:06):
because apparently the all the other nuns are a bunch of caddy
bitches. And it's also very obvious from
the beginning that Indica has some kind of mental illness of
some kind. She has like these weird, really
vivid hallucinations that will sometime change like the type of

(23:29):
game that you're playing. And she also has a hears voices.
Specifically, she hears this onevoice in her head that basically
also double S as the narrator, and she identifies this voice
with the devil, even though the game never really seems to
declare whether or not it is thedevil or it's just again, a

(23:51):
voice she's hearing in her head. And the game itself, you know,
like the actual plot isn't terribly, you know, it's not
terribly like complicated or anything.
She is tests with this, you know, taking this letter to this

(24:13):
priest that's in a nearby church.
And while she's, you know, walking there, she comes across
this train accident that had a bunch of like convicts in it,
along with a bunch of soldiers that were acting as guards.
And she ends up running into this one guy who was a former

(24:34):
soldier who has a crippled left arm that he is going to need
amputation. But he's trying to get to this
other church that has this supposedly this relic in it
that'll supposedly heal any injury.
And the game itself, it it gets the game.
It's really odd because the you, because of the nature of

(24:58):
Indica's hallucinations, it can be kind of difficult to like
ascertain is this actually happening or not?
Like, are all these things around her real or is it just
sort of a delusion? A thing that sort of commonly
comes up like every now like a mechanic is this thing where
she'll go into like like a serious, like bipolar mental

(25:21):
episode where the voice in her head will basically start
yelling at her and it'll literally like rend the whole
place apart and it'll be like covered in like this hellish red
glow. But once she starts, you know,
saying her rosaries, it'll quiet.
And there's this sort of these neat puzzles where you have to

(25:41):
like rind the world apart and then like find like a platform
or somewhere and then bring the world back together and then
step on another platform. And like the when the world like
rinds itself again, it'll like send you further out to like
another area you previously couldn't access if it was still
together. Things like that.

(26:03):
There are other things too, likeshe'll go into like these sort
of Daydream modes where you'll learn bits about her past and
you know the game like you're playing in those.
You know, it'll be everything from like a racing game to like
a platformer, you know, that kind of thing.
It's a very strange game. It's very much like an art house
movie in game form. It's like a very European art

(26:26):
house movie in game form. There's a lot of really quiet
moments in it, but it's really engaging.
And on top of that, I've also been playing sort of the sea
again, just like Chris, I went through like the main campaign.
And just like with Journey, it'snot a terribly long game.
You know, I, I got through the whole thing in like under 2

(26:48):
hours. But I have a feeling that this
is one of those games that has like layers to it and that
there's probably some other stuff hiding if you'll look for
it. So I'm going to be going back
into that game again pretty soon.
And the other game I've been playing, it's a remaster of a
game called Off and off is this it's an old RPG Maker game that

(27:14):
came out way back in 2008 and didn't it was originally made in
France and it didn't get like a real English translation until
2011. But now it has like a it's been
remastered and now you can basically play it on just about
anything. I'm playing mine on, you know,
on my Steam account, but essentially it's a after, you

(27:40):
know, after we we currently livein like a sort of golden age of
like RPG maker games where they can become like these huge like
franchises. You got are you got games like
fear and hunger and corpse party?
You've got, you know, sort of, you know, the the off kilter
type modern RPGs like, you know, like Undertale and Delta Rune

(28:04):
off is kind of one of those games that helped sort of
inspire that whole sort of that that that whole sort of series
of sort of offbeat in the RPG projects.
And it's not terribly complicated.
It has a very like minimalist art direction and you're

(28:25):
essentially you're playing this character that's only known as
the batter and they're basicallylike dressed in like an old tiny
baseball get up and they hit things with a bat.
That's what they do. And they basically go around and
they're purifying the place of spectres.
And those are like your primary enemies.

(28:46):
They're ghosts or ghouls of various kinds.
And you're going through like all these various places of this
world. And this world itself is a very,
it's this very like unsettling sort of dream world type of
image of where it's inhabited bylike these shivery, like
corporate types who live like this perpetually dull nightmare

(29:09):
existence where like, you know, smoke is put in bottles, sugar
is you, is there's like sugar mines and meat and dairy is like
grown in vats and stuff like that.
And it's, you know, and it's just really odd.
Everything's made out of plasticand it's it's really eccentric

(29:32):
and it's also really, really eerie.
And you're not sure why, becausethe game doesn't really give you
a major hint of like, anything is necessarily off about the
world, except for the fact that it's just this extremely odd
universe that you're in. But the game gets progressively

(29:56):
more unsettling as it goes on. I can't really reveal too much.
I'm only about like halfway through it right now, but it it
because it's not a terribly longgame, but it gets it it.
There are some differences. I will say that unlike the older

(30:17):
version, this version has like some new bosses thrown in
specifically to extend the game out a little bit more.
But it is still it's still fairly on the short side, but
it's it's odd is all I'll say. It's an odd game.
It's fairly, you know, it's it's, it's fairly engaging, but

(30:37):
you can also still tell that this is like an old RPG Maker
game in spots. But yeah, that's basically all
I've been playing. So, Dan and Red, what about you?
Yeah, we are in the thick of review season.
You know, all of us talk about games that, you know, a bunch of
us are reviewing. You know, Chris just reviewed
Hurtling Brandon's reviewing off.

(30:58):
I am reviewing a bunch of thingsthat I am behind.
To be honest, the main thing I'mplaying right now is Shinobi Art
of Vengeance. I can't talk about any of the
content yet, but I am allowed tosay that I'm playing it.
So I will be heading that reviewwhen it comes out this week.
So be on the lookout for that. I also reviewed sort of the sea.
So all of us have been playing it.
Brandon beat it. I beat it too.
And you know, we were, we're definitely going to go ahead and

(31:21):
draw those parallels to Journey, especially since Matt Nava is on
that staff. And if you've played Journey, if
you played OBSO, if you've played the pathless, like I felt
like I was just going through the motions with this game.
That being said, like it's not bad.
I just feel like I've done this kind of stuff already.
But what what really makes sort of the sea special is the whole,

(31:42):
you know, sword hoverboard thing.
Like it is very like, I wasn't going to say never, but that's
not that's not true. It is very rare that you'll see
this sword used for any sort of violence.
It'll eventually happen, but youknow, you got to earn your way
there. And part of what's cool about it
is just like learning all the ways of traversal to get from
point A to point B with every section that you're in.

(32:04):
Everything felt different. And at the same time, things
felt fast. When you're playing a game like
Journey, Journey was a little slow just because like, you
know, your character can only can only walk so fast, whereas
was sort of to see when you're riding on your on your sword
board and doing tricks and all that stuff.
It really adds a lot of, you know, quick intensity, if you

(32:26):
will. And I really enjoyed that
aspect. And it also really rewards you
for exploration. You know, when you first start
the game, like, yeah, it'll talkabout its control scheme and
things like that, but it doesn'texactly tell you what to do.
So when I was first in the dunesand whatnot, I had no idea what
I was doing. I was just vibing.
And then I found this blue crackon the ground and this is what

(32:48):
actually unleashed all of the water to show up.
And it turns out that that's notreally fully your job in order
to beat the game. Like, yeah, you want to get it
from point A to point B, but youdon't just do so by unleashing
the world with water. And the reason why I found that
out is because I don't know if you guys saw, but there is a

(33:09):
really intensive trophy list with this game.
I think when I beat it I only got about 6 out of the 45 or so
trophies in the game, and that'sbecause a lot of them just
require you to really, really explore things and I thought I
did a good job with that. But no, there is there.
There is just so much more. You'll get trophies for riding
on whales, You'll get trophies for the actual trick part of it.

(33:30):
Like the score doesn't really matter, but there is a trophy
tied to your score. When you beat the game, it tells
you the score you got. Brandon said he beat it in like
a little over 2 hours. There's actually a trophy for
beating the game in under 2 hours to really support the
whole. No, I beat it in under 2 hours
that I my end was like a like anhour and 90 was like an hour and

(33:52):
so. So you got that?
You got that, That trophy, Yeah.Yeah, I did.
Definitely a cool thing there and there's also a new game plus
and with the new game plus it actually gives you all of the
abilities that you had at the end of your play through from
your first one. The way you get abilities is by
finding tetras and redeeming them with this, with the shadowy
merchant that you find in every level.

(34:13):
And you'll learn things like double jumping or certain kinds
of tricks and ways to not reallyfly, but you really have that
essence of flight. And yeah, like, I thought it was
like really unique. It's just that the game sort of
really feels like a palate cleanser to me.

(34:33):
You know, obviously, we're in the middle of all these big
releases, and this is actually word ideally fits.
This is not a game that I would like recommend you play it just
because it's awesome. I think it's a game that I I'd
recommend to someone who really needs something different,
really need something chill, really need something short
because this game is short. And at the same time like
there's enough here to keep you enamored by it.

(34:55):
You may, maybe you won't be amazed, but you'll definitely
just actually want to get through it.
And that's actually what I did. So yeah, totally recommended.
I gave it a 3.5 on on the side. So I took out that review
Madden, I'm still playing, you know, that's my comfort food.
So I'm going to continue to playthat.
I've just played a few tournaments with some, some
friends in the journalist leagueand I, I, I lost twice.

(35:17):
So, you know, I got humbled immediately.
But, you know, at the same time, football is also about, like,
learning about the various nuances in gameplay, and I'm
looking forward to learning thatstuff there.
And yeah, that's pretty much it for what I've been playing with
the games that I have. I also want to talk about demos
because I did get invited to a few.
We did not go to games.com, but that dynamico and Capcom invited

(35:42):
us to events nearby to try things out.
So first, on Monday, I posted a new preview for Toowa and the
Guardians of the Sacred Tree. We played that game for about
four hours. And yeah, like, if this was a
game that I had in my hands right now, I don't want to dive
back into it. For those of you who aren't
familiar, this is a roguelike through and through.

(36:02):
It is very similar to games likeBastion or Hades, but you know,
replace all of that art style with straight up anime and you
have TOA. But the main thing here is that
kind of like Hades, where you know when you die you'll all of
a sudden just come back to this hub world and find out ways to
just get better. That sort of aspect is still in

(36:25):
Toa, but here's what really makes it different.
In Toa, in the Garden of the Sacred Tree, you use two
characters. There's 8 available for you to
use and you can go ahead and change their roles.
There's 2 roles, 1 is the Sudogiand they are pretty much the
main character you'll use and they wield a sword so they'll
handle all of your melee. The second is Tokagora and they

(36:45):
are staff wielders and they're pretty much your support.
You don't, you do have direct control of the staff user,
except it'll be with the right stick in various times, but for
the most part they follow you around and you can go ahead and
activate their magic as well at will.
Now the key thing about it here is that each of these characters
is unique. They play unique, they say
different things. You'll come across certain rooms

(37:06):
where they can go ahead and bondwith each other.
And when you actually get to theboss of a level, if you kill it,
you actually have to sacrifice your kagura in order to move on.
So, for example, you start off with eight, and if you beat the
entire first area, you're going to continue with seven and then
six and then so on. This actually makes you think
about the way you want to set upyour loadout, but at the same

(37:27):
time, if you've, you know, gotten attached to a certain
character just because of the way that they're written or the
way that they act, they're goingto be gone eventually.
So that's definitely one way that the game, like pulls at
your heartstrings in order to keep things going.
And I don't think that's something we've ever seen from a
roguelike, at least not that I've played.
And I thought that's a really, really cool addition to it.

(37:49):
Just going back to the hub worldthat I was talking about
earlier, you do get the chance to talk to a lot of NPCS who
give you a, a bunch of differentitems to improve your, your next
one. But you also have access to a
swordsmith that allows you to, you know, create new weapons
and, and whatever it may be. And I thought that was pretty, a
pretty cool thing to do. The gameplay is very similar to

(38:12):
if you've played pirate Yakuza, there is a, there's a cooking
mini game there and making swords is pretty much the same
way here too. It kind of feels like a Waria
where, if you will. So yeah, towing the guards of
the Take a Tree comes out on September 19th.
That is the same day as a game that I'll talk about in a little
bit. And yeah, it's really crowded.
But don't let this one escape your list.

(38:32):
It's definitely one to look out for and I think it's really
special. And then Dynamico should be
really proud of it. So I'm hoping we get that code
soon because I can't wait to dive back into that.
In regards to Capcom, I went over to their HQ to try out
three games, and these are the same games that were featured at
summer.gamefestandthesedemoswerefeatured@games.com.So it's Pragmata, Resident Evil,

(38:54):
Requiem, and Oni Musha. We have the sword.
I'll start off with Oni Musha. If you've played any of the
games in the past, it'll definitely feel a whole lot more
modern. If you've played any of the
recent Oni Musha remasters it definitely feels better than
that. Like those two games did away
with tank controls but at the same time the pre rendered

(39:15):
backgrounds are just aged at this point and just don't look
good. So when you're playing una musha
way of the sword it just really felt like a fun third person
hack and slash if you will. And all of the original gameplay
comes back like you can suck up souls.
And they also add a few more things like you can parry things
at the same time. You have the ability or enemies

(39:37):
have the ability to suck up souls too.
So you want to be able that you you want to be able to get them
first, things like that. I talked about the parrying.
That's nice. And the the boss fights are also
really awesome. Onimusha has like some of the
most flamboyant bosses in all ofgaming.
And Way of the Sword just takes things up another notch.

(39:57):
They recently showed a new trailer during ONL that had what
new weapons? Unfortunately I didn't get to
try that out. This was actually the same demo
that I saw behind closed doors, but now that I've actually had
my hands on it, I'm definitely more excited for it and it's
definitely my most anticipated game of 2026.
Moving on with Pragmata, this was also the same demo that we

(40:18):
played during Summer Game Fest, except at the end we weren't
allowed to fight the boss. Now we work and yeah, it was
pretty much what I expected to be best to be.
And it's like it's it's it's going to be really fun.
If you haven't seen anything outof Pragmata, the game is pretty
much a third person shooter and you can't really do any damage
to any enemies unless you hack them first.

(40:41):
So while you're aiming at an enemy with L2, that'll also
activate this Matrix UI on the right side where you have to
control a cursor with the with the face buttons, you know,
triangle goes up, square goes left, circle goes right, that
sort of thing. And you want to be able to
navigate that maze and get to the end in order to unlock or

(41:01):
hack the enemies. And that's where they become
vulnerable. So having that puzzle aspect,
like I'm surprised at how well that worked in real time.
And then doing it with the boss fight definitely added another
layer of challenge there. Like for example, with the boss,
you know, obviously you're not gonna be able to get it for as
much damage, but at the same time, you want to be able to
avoid things. So you want to make sure that

(41:21):
you're running away from their attacks.
And when you're doing that, you can't hack them.
So you have to be able, you haveto be able to stand there
stationary while, you know, solving the hacking puzzle.
And then going from towards the end of the boss fight, there was
a cutscene that allowed us to gointo OverDrive mode.
You do that by pressing both of the both of the analog sticks.

(41:42):
And from here, it just allows you to do more damage than
whatever it may be. So out of the demos that I
played at Capcom, this was the only one where I didn't die.
So I was really proud of that because Capcom games are
notoriously hard in that regard. And then last from Capcom was
resident of a Requiem. We played the same demo that we
watched at SGF and basically it's the beginning of the game.

(42:04):
And one key thing at the end of the demo we saw was that you had
the ability to switch from firstperson to third person.
So we thought it was first person the whole time, but now
that we know that we can go to third person, that was the mode
I tried. Mind you, I'm not, you know,
very good at survival horror games, but it was definitely
really nice seeing Resident Evilgo back to its roots in that

(42:25):
way. The main idea what the demo was
being able to access this elevator that you had to, you
know, break a fuse in one room for and bring that fuse to that
elevator. And from there just avoid the
big monster that's there. And you know, me being scared of
jump scares, that that was a little worrisome.
But at the same time, I didn't realize that sometimes you have

(42:47):
to go ahead and take one for theteam.
You have to go ahead and take damage in order to get to where
you want to be. So there was a point where I was
cornered and what I just did wasI just went ahead and tried my
best to go around the monster. He ended up giving me some good
damage, but at the same time I had some herbs and an injection
thing that I was able to use to heal myself, so that was cool in
that regard. We were playing on PS-5 Pros, so

(43:11):
I definitely had a nice set as far as visuals and audio goes,
and the audio in was tremendous.I don't even really need to talk
about that because that's prettymuch expected.
But yeah, that was Capcom. And then the last thing that I
want to talk about is the demo for Trails in the Sky first
chapter. I forget whether this shadow
dropped on a Wednesday or Thursday, but as soon as it was

(43:33):
available, you know, I jumped on.
I downloaded it and it is fantastic.
The game looks so much more modern than what we've ever seen
from the Trail series. Even adding on the 3D games.
The game is mostly voice acted. You know there are points where
they go ahead and stop with the with the dialogue again, but
those are also points where it'snot a full on cinematic

(43:55):
cutscene. Every cinematic cutscene I've
seen has been fully voiced and that's definitely been cool.
If I had any sort of complaints about the game so far or, or Oh
yeah. Also the prologue is the demo
here and the prologue, if you'veplayed Trails in the Sky before,
it's like 8 hours. So there is a whole lot of

(44:15):
gameplay there. And the cool thing is that your
save can transfer into the finalgame.
So you know, this demo is not a waste of time in that regard.
But yeah, going back to my nitpicks, talked about the audio
thing, the chests don't have anydialogue either.
You know, the the 2D Trails games are notorious for having
chest messages by interacting with them after you've opening

(44:37):
them. And yeah, that's not a thing
anymore. Some characters are named
differently. I don't know if it's whether
that was a choice in in in the localization or maybe Condo just
realized, you know, a lot of these characters aren't that for
other people. And I got to like make sure that
we have some different kind of consistency there.
So that's one thing to take noteof, but one thing that's been

(45:00):
rather annoying is Trails has what's called escort missions
where you know the battle system.
Well, first of all, they bring back the battle system from
Daybreak in such a way where there is some action based stuff
and there is some turn based stuff.
But as far as escort missions, these are missions where you
have an NPC join you and they can take damage.

(45:20):
And I feel like the enemies in the game are targeting the
escorts way more than I'm used to.
So most of my deaths in the demowere because they've killed the
escorts and that automatically makes permission fail.
So yeah. But other than that, like, I
have no qualms with the game so far.
I'm about like 3 hours into the demo.
I think it's like, you know, 678And yeah, really enjoying stuff.

(45:42):
And we're going into PAX W next week, so looking forward to
continuing to talk more, but that's not it for me.
All right, so yeah, let's get tosome news.
And there's a bunch of it, So let's get started here.
As I mentioned, the Rogue Princeof Persia is out now on APS 5,
Xbox and PC will be coming to Switch and switch to later this

(46:04):
year. It is also on Game Pass and a
PlayStation Plus, so you can check those out there.
Otherwise it's 30 bucks for that, so definitely recommend
checking it out. Let's see also now Triangle
Strategy on a PS-5 and Xbox. So Square finally getting done

(46:26):
with whatever exclusivity agreement there is so that
people on a PS-5 and Xbox can check out this turn based
strategy RPG from our dig. Yeah, totally crowded time, but
that game is simply awesome. So if you have a chance to grab
that, definitely should. Yeah, it's on a discount right

(46:47):
now for the launch to make it 42bucks instead of 60.
So you can check it out for a little bit cheaper.
So there you go. And the other thing that's
available now or it happened is that the price of the PS-5 has
increased. Sony announced this that would

(47:07):
start on the 21st. So that is passed is in the US
everything went up by 50 bucks. So the PS-5 base version is 550
now the digital edition is 499 and the PS-5 pros at 7:49, not

(47:29):
really too surprising. I imagine their supply of PS
fives in the US have kind of gotten to a point where they
were going to need to bring new stuff in that's going to be
subject to tariffs and going to lead to this kind of
announcement unfortunately. But yeah, Switch 1 already has
had increases, Xbox has already had increases.

(47:52):
The Switch to is the only one that has not yet, but I imagine
they'll Nintendo will hold off on that for as long as they can.
Probably at least until next year at some point.
Suddenly I am very, I am very happy I got my switch when I
did. I mean not my switch, my PS-5
when I did. Yeah, I.
Haven't really like looked up all the prices.
Does that mean to switch to is the most affordable again?

(48:15):
It might be. Or is there something that's
more cheaper? Barely.
It's 450 for a switch to and then the the the digital edition
PS-5 is 499. Gotcha.
Or the regular PS 5 is 550 so it's close enough.

(48:35):
This is the world we live in now, guys.
Yep. Yeah.
So yeah, that's that's fun. Yeah.
Let's get to some dates. We have a game here called Bad
Cheese that will be out September 1st.
Is a game. Based on like 1920s style of
animation. Yep, rubber hose animation and

(48:57):
wow. Yeah, it's coming to everything,
PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC.
So that's one to keep an eye on.I think it's first person from
The way it. Looks.
Yeah, it is. And also very, very nightmare
inducing. Oh yeah.
Wow. Oh.
Yeah, there's one to keep an eyeon.

(49:18):
Let's see here. Also, it's a The thing is, if
you look at the the trailer, it's like, wow, this is a very
obvious like Mickey Mouse XP. We're looking out here.
Yeah. But yeah, that's a, it's a neat
one that's coming out. Let's see, that'll be next week

(49:39):
for that, then the biggest news of the week over.
Oh boy, here we go. Overshadowing everything else
here on this list. Fact, we could probably just in
the in the show right here. This is the one that made the
Internet lose its damn mind. Yeah, Hollow Night sucks song
finally got a date September 4th.
Yep. Two weeks away from when they

(50:01):
announced this. So much so that it has and I've
sent a bit of ripples through devs that were releasing around
that time. Yep, 1 here that's has delayed
their game as a result. There was another one that did
as well, but he looked at the details.
They didn't even have like a switch to dev kits wanted to

(50:24):
release on all all their platforms at once.
So it was like, yeah, this is just the convenient excuse, but
the the real excuse is that we want to release on a switch to
and don't have dev kits, which is a little bit of a challenge.
But yeah, Silk songs finally going to be out.
We don't know the price for this.

(50:45):
It'll be on everything PlayStation, Xbox, Switch,
Switch to PC as well as game Pass.
So you can check that out. This is the thing that was
supposed to be an expansion as paid for with a the Kickstarter.
It was sort of a post goal sort of thing.

(51:09):
They could hits and they did. And kind of there's some details
out there sort of the nature of why it took them so long.
And it's mostly down to the factthat the all the night just kept
selling so well that they kind of did not have any pressure to
force this game out sooner. Just kind of let the the scope

(51:31):
kind of increase with the various ideas they had for it
and kind of didn't want to crunch or anything.
Just kind of said, we'll finish it when we finish it.
As much as the Internet got mad every time a showcase of some
sort happened and it did not getit, you know, a date or anything
there Even so much was kind of funny to see them talking about.

(51:55):
They were going to announce their release date and all Jeff
Keeley could get was a little bits of gameplay you could show
and say like it'll be out this year.
That's it. Like, oh great, that's all Jeff
could get. And then he's the king of the
announcements and couldn't even get the the date.
So yeah, that'll be fun to see. I'm looking forward to this.

(52:19):
I was playing the the original game some because I'm somewhere
in some random place and I was kind of just what the fuck I'm
supposed to be doing, Which is one of its issues is kind of not
having a clear idea because of the map system of knowing
exactly where you need to go. I'm figuring it out.

(52:44):
But yeah, this, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this
and playing in a couple weeks. Yep.
Oh yeah. You and everyone else.
And their mother, apparently. Yeah.
Yeah, Holder has a game that I own multiple copies of on
various consoles, but I've neveractually gone through and
finished it. Probably not going to finish it

(53:06):
before it comes out two weeks from now.
But I'm definitely happy for thepeople that have been waiting
and waiting and waiting. I did see a tweet from Jason
Schreier saying that press mighthave to wait because they
definitely want to honor some ofthe Kickstarters, and that's
totally fine. You know, they paid for it, so
that's cool. Yeah.
But yeah, don't, don't, don't expect a review from us until a
little later as well. So.

(53:27):
Yeah, people have been losing their fucking minds.
The notion that they want to fulfill their Kickstarter codes
first over the the review codes, which is like every Kickstarter
I've had that had, you know, console versions that they need
to get codes for, could never seem to get codes very early or

(53:48):
any of that stuff. It's always like the day of
maybe if you're lucky the day before depending on maybe
location changes. And so it's not surprising that
the that would be sort of an issue for this and kind of not
want to set aside some of those codes that they would need for

(54:09):
their backers for press instead, since I mentioned most sites
will have somebody buy it and cover it there.
It's not really a huge issue, maybe a little annoying for some
things, but otherwise it's a fairly minor issue and grand
scheme of things. But people are treating this

(54:30):
like they're refusing to send out codes and all this, and it's
like, not that grim. Yeah.
And then like people don't realize that you can't just
produce a code out of thin air. Well, actually at the back you
actually can for Steam. But at the same time, with every
code that every publisher gives out, they have to have like some
sort of credit for it. Like for example, you know, I

(54:52):
work at Gamers Outreach and we ask for codes for our consoles
all the time. And whenever we do that, we
actually have to issue a tax receipt for every code that we
have. So yeah, there's a lot of
legalities to it. So don't be one of those people
saying, oh, you can just make the same time.
It cost you nothing. Nope.
But cost them something. So there's that.
Yeah, especially the console makers don't want to produce,

(55:15):
you know, thousands of codes forpotential use for a game or
review stuff. Yeah.
Especially if they go nowhere, that's a big thing.
Yeah, yeah. It's kind of you just want to
ask for a small amount and then ask for more if you need more.
But because you know, there's only so many codes that can be
generated anytime. So yeah, there you go.

(55:38):
There's your September 4th, that'll be a pretty quick, we
can get another game here that is coming out in September,
September 23rd with Zordem. So on PlayStation, Xbox and
Switch. Been out on PC for a bit here.
But yeah, this is a first personspellcaster game, kind of a

(56:05):
first person shooter Doom like kind of thing, but has a really
nice look to it. Very similar to like Hexen.
Yeah, with a lot of like elemental spell kind of stuff
you're shooting out to take careof enemies, dodge their attacks
and all that. It's got a very most kind of
checks quest ish kind of vibes to it because it seems like not

(56:29):
super violent or anything. Well, it seems like there's some
blood and such, but it's not as overly exaggerated as Doom, but
maybe it is, I don't know. But yeah, that'll be outs later
this week, later in September onthe 23rd for 20 bucks.
So that seems like a pretty solid looking game.

(56:51):
So there you go. Yep.
And that might be that might be an old Apogee game.
Yep, from what it's Yep, it looks like it.
As they mentioned, leveraging Atari's expertise importing and
publishing info grains in Apogee's partnership aims to
bring multiple Apogee titles to Monarch consoles in both digital

(57:12):
and physical formats. So OK, yeah, they're working
together to bring more games from Apogee's catalog to
consoles. So OK, that's cool.
This might not be as old as it seems, but yeah, there you go
here The the first game that I've seen sort of credibly

(57:35):
delayed as a result of Silk songwas Clover Pit.
The sort of demonic age isn't loading, but it's the the
demonic slot machine game that was set to launch on September
3rd has been delayed to September 26th.
Yep. They cite Silksong in their

(57:56):
announcement for that and basically said, you know, we
don't want to get in the way of that game.
Also, we want to play it. So that is a fun one reason for
that. And yeah, they said they'll use
the extra time to further Polishfor bugs and such, so that'll

(58:17):
definitely help them out there. So there's that.
That one's worth checking out from the demo I played of it.
Yeah, it's awesome that they're doing this.
You know, a lot of like, you know, prognosticators, if you
will think that a lot of AAA people try to move dates
depending on what comes out. That actually rarely ever

(58:37):
happens in AAA. But in Indy, because, you know,
you know, they they don't reallyhave a board to report to, they
can go ahead and make this kind of decision.
And it's cool that they're saying that they actually want
to play it too. Yeah.
So yeah, there's that. Yeah.
Next up here we got some Octobergames.
There's a few of those got announced by Sweet Carol,

(58:58):
announced for October 9th. This is APS 5 Xbox switching PC.
Yep, basically an animated horror game influenced by, you
know, a lot of classics here. Very, very Renaissance era
Disney. Yeah, that's got a lot of that
look to it. Really neat style.

(59:21):
They also mentioned that they are influenced by games like
Inside Clock Tower and Little Nightmares, so that seems pretty
neat for this. So there's one I want a spooky
game, especially an Indies horror game.
This one seems like 1 to keep aneye on.
Oh yeah, I, I can, I'm looking at the trailer and it's like,

(59:43):
yeah, I can totally get the clock tower vibes.
And keep in mind when I'm sayingclock Tower, I mean like the OG
one that came out for the Super Famicom.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. The vibes are there.
Yeah. So yeah, that's one to keep an
eye on. Let's see also for October Xbox

(01:00:04):
announced and I guess rog announced that the Xbox ally and
the Xbox ally X will be launching October 16th.
They're playable games com they had a launch in let's see
Australia Belgium Canada, Czech Republic China.
That's the ally X only Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong

(01:00:28):
Kong, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands,
New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal,
Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain,
Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arabs, Emirates,
United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.

(01:00:49):
Other ones will potentially be later in early 2026.
They did not announce prices norwhen they're going to open up
for pre-orders, but I feel like these are not going to be cheap
based on everything they've talked about them.
You could potentially see maybe the more expensive models up to

(01:01:10):
$1000. But yeah, this is not going to
be a cheap device. It's not going to, especially
not going to be as cheap as a switch to based on everything
they have here. So yeah, be curious to see what
happens with that. But yeah, I have no real need
for this. I have a Steam Deck and play the

(01:01:31):
games I want to play on it just fine.
Oh yeah. Versus this, that is more of an
Xbox device, so it'll be able toplay a lot of the stuff that's
on EC, Game Pass and Steam sinceit'll just be using Windows.
But you also have to deal with all the the Windows bullshit
too. So there's your sort of catch

(01:01:52):
here. But yeah, it'll be interesting
to see some people take to whatever prices these gets.
But they seem to say that'll be announcing that stuff pretty
soon. Yep.
But yeah, there you go. Let's see.
Also in October, a game called Dreamed Away.
This is let's see yeah, pixel art action RPG or Xbox, which in

(01:02:21):
PC October 23rd, there's a demo on Steam now checkouts and it
has a really nice look to it. This looks pretty neat.
Very, very mother to Earthbound reminiscing, yeah.
It's got a bit of that to it. And yeah, they yeah, their

(01:02:44):
combat system is made with a bunch of different mini games to
its looks of it. Yep.
Which blurs our mixes up turn based strategy with bullet
dodging any time based QT. So maybe more Undertale esque
kind of thing. They have some psychological
horror elements to this which I wouldn't be surprised if it's

(01:03:07):
more in like the vein of a Little Nemo if you remember that
movie. Yeah.
That's the cute little thing. What if it has a really
terrifying dark element to it? Also clowns.
But yeah, that looks neat. Then we get to November here for

(01:03:27):
November 4th is Satisfactory is finally coming to consoles?
Yep. Or PS-5 and Xbox.
You can check that out. I have it on Steam, really like
it. It is a very typical kind of
factory building sandbox game. We kind of land on this alien
planets hoping to exploit its resources to build up your

(01:03:51):
factories and all that kind of stuff, you know, mining
resources to send on conveyor belts to different kinds of
machines to make different things and all that.
And you kind of build up big hole things of machines and all
that, and even get vehicles to make it easier to get around
your factories and all that. So yeah, that's a neat game.

(01:04:18):
Let's see also in November. I hate this place.
This is a horror game. An open world horror game
that'll be out. Let's see PS-5 Xbox switching
PC. That looks pretty neat.
From inspired by the Skybounds Eisner award-winning or award

(01:04:39):
nominated comic book series. So yeah, you get a version of
that crafting based survival horror.
Yeah, you do stuff during the night and then at night the
monsters come out. So you get a lot of that.
So yeah, that looks neat. Need your spooky stuff even in
November? Yep.

(01:05:02):
See also November, November 11thRue Valley will be out.
This is the kind of narrative focused RPG that we talked about
a little while ago coming to PS-5.
Xbox switching PC on November 11th.
It's a time loop game, but you're going around these areas

(01:05:22):
to talk to people and kind of learn more about what's going on
here and trying to figure out a way to, I assume break the the
cycle for it. So yeah, looks really neat.
So that could be cool. Then November 14th we got where
Winds meet. This is a neat looking game from

(01:05:47):
Chinese developer, I believe that is going to be on PS-5 and
PC. And yeah, it's going to be free
to play, I believe. So yeah, be launching here in
the West. That'll be neat to see,
especially when we can supposed to have a beta at some point, or

(01:06:09):
maybe that was just a couple weeks ago.
But yeah, this is like an open world action adventure RPG kind
of thing. One of those based on some
whoosha stuff. So.
Oh yeah. Could be neat.
Yeah, definitely looks neat. Let's see, on November 17th, the

(01:06:29):
Berlin Apartments that's coming out.
This is a first person adventuregame or PS-5, Xbox and PC.
That looks pretty neat. It's told us.
Yeah, the story is told us. Series of episodes over the
course of the last century. Each episode tells its own story

(01:06:50):
with its own protagonists and its own genre with a different
atmosphere. What connects them all is this
historic apartment in Berlin that serves as a scene of the
action. So a little bit of like that Tom
Hanks movie that came out eitherearlier this year or last year
that was set in one house, but they started back in like 8 man

(01:07:11):
days or something. But this is a little more
reasonable for that. So yeah, that looks neat.
Really interesting looking game. Then let's see what else for
November. I have Morsels will finally be
getting a date here on November 18th.
Let's see, this is the roguelikeI played a little while ago from

(01:07:35):
the artist of the Nidhogg 2. So that looks really nice.
I play the demo. There's a video on our YouTube
if you want to see it. Bit of a dual stick shooter kind
of thing, although you're picking, you know, different
kinds of creatures to morph intoand do all that.

(01:07:58):
I'm going through these sewer areas that have a bunch of weird
stuff going on. So yeah, pretty neat.
So yeah, that'll be out November18th for people to check out.
And then, yeah, we had a Nintendo Direct focused on one
game, particularly Kirby Air Riders.

(01:08:19):
We're Masa Hero. Sakurai spent like 45 minutes
talking about how game development is hard and what he
liked about the original game and what he's doing new with the
sequel and all. That's kind of limited to the
fact that they're using 2 buttons this time instead of 1
like the original. All this kind of weird

(01:08:41):
pontificating he was doing. But yeah, the game itself will
be out November 20th for 6999. Seems pretty fully featured for
the most part. Yeah.
It's still a, you know, for lackof a more nuanced way to
describe it, kind of a cart racing game.

(01:09:03):
You have more Kirby characters because I see the original had
like 3. It was Kirby.
DDD and Mennonite have a bunch of different characters here.
They have their own abilities for things they do.
They mention like one of the themushroom guys who can use the
little top of his head as like aa shield of sorts for attacks

(01:09:27):
that might come in. Bunch of stuff like that.
They're special moves that each character has.
There's boost charge, which you can use to like drift around
corners and like get, you know, get around turns pretty quickly.
There's different machines. I think the the original just
had like one machine that they were riding on.

(01:09:47):
This has a bunch of different ones.
Yep. Let's see.
And yet you can also copy abilities with Kirby.
You can acquire abilities and use those as like kind of power
ups. They talk about a bunch of
different courses they have. They also have a Skya, which is
sort of a sky island that is kind of a sandbox place to play

(01:10:12):
with other players. You can also set up AI races and
events and such for doing a bunch of different stuff there,
which looks pretty neat. So yeah, that's a that's a
pretty good looking game when I wasn't expecting to be
interesting, but doctor, I managed to run through that game

(01:10:35):
pretty well to show off what it what's interesting about it.
So there's that's yeah, nature Kirby fix.
I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet.
I did play the original very briefly and I wasn't that big a
fan. So hopefully they've found ways
to, you know, make it a little bit more approachable for people

(01:10:56):
that didn't like it. At the same time again, I I
haven't seen the direct, so I don't know how it'll how it'll
even look, but I am satisfied tosee it be 70 instead of 80.
And you know, they did that withDoctor Hong Kong Bonanza.
So I still don't know what the formula is to making a game 7080
or even 60, but it's good to see.
Yeah, there's that. Also releasing alongside Kirby

(01:11:19):
Air Riders is the most compatible game possible.
It is STALKER Heart 2 or STALKER2 Heart of Chernobyl coming to
the PS-5 on November 20th, so you can check that one out.
Yeah, it's just a STALKER 2, butnow on the PS5I believe they're
making use of the the haptic feedback and the the trigger

(01:11:43):
stuff on there too. Probably make it feel pretty
good on the controller. Yeah, for that stuff.
So that'll be neat aspect of it.But yeah, I don't see myself
spending the money on this game. It's just not my kind of game.
But I'm sure there'll be plenty of people on PS-5 excited for
this. So there you go.

(01:12:04):
So yeah, let's, let's see. Yeah, we got one more date here
and that's for next year, February 13th of 2026.
High on Life 2 will be out. If you need more of that in your
life, that'll be on PS-5, Xbox and PC as well as Game Pass, so

(01:12:24):
there'll be more of that silly first person shooting action.
So. That with, you know, weapons
that will never, ever shut up. Yeah, though I think they added
options to turn their verbosity down.
Yeah, they did eventually. Looks like you get a skateboard

(01:12:46):
too in this one. Radical.
There you go. Yeah, that's that's all your
dates here in the the main part of the show.
Anything here that looks interesting for you, Brandon?
Well, let's see. Among some other stuff that was

(01:13:08):
shown, we mentioned bad cheese. That one looks pretty neat.
My Sweet Carol is definitely onethat I'm going to keep an eye on
because I'm honestly kind of surprised we haven't seen a game
like this just yet. I hate this place.
Also looks pretty interesting. Let's see.

(01:13:30):
Yeah, that's about it at the moment.
I really do. Oh, I will say Dreamed Away also
looks very interesting, but I'm going to need to see a bit more
of it. Yeah.
How about you, Daniel? Sorry, I tried to find a button
there. Honestly, not a whole lot of
these really speak to me. We just talked about Kirby

(01:13:53):
Morsels was a game I played during SGF, but I don't know if
I'm going to be in the mood for another rogue like.
So yeah, I'm going to say not a whole lot of these are ones that
really excite me. All right, so yeah, let's move
on here. We got a few more games here
that just got announcements. Particularly interesting is the
Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection getting the last few games

(01:14:15):
announced for its launch lineup. And boy, they picked some
doozies. Oh yes, they did.
So they picked the the two PS1 spin off games, Mortal Kombat
Mythology, Sub Zero, Yep and Mortal Kombat's special Forces.
And they're both terrible. Yeah, I'm trying to look right

(01:14:36):
here, the wiki page. Yeah it came out October 1st
1997 for the sub zero game. Believe that's the the 2D like
beat em up kind of game. Yeah, and it has the worst
control scheme you could have for a 2D beat em up game.
Yeah, because they were trying to, like, put the intricacies of

(01:15:02):
a regular Mortal Kombat fightinggame into a sort of 2D side
scrolling beat em up, and it just does not work.
Yeah, like at all. They have a button to turn.
Yeah, you need a button to turn to face right and to face left.
Yeah. That right there should have

(01:15:23):
been the kiss of death for this game.
Yeah, it's. I assumed they were trying to
bring the fighting game controlsto a platformer of sorts, but
we're not able to figure out that you just make a platformer.
Yeah, and even the plat. And for the record, the
platforming also was God awful. Yeah, I imagine you're probably

(01:15:46):
doing fighting game controls to jump.
Yep, that's. Not how platformers work.
Nope. So yeah, I was like on the page
here, it's like the one quote they get here on the other side.
Gamespot's Jeff Grossman hailed it as a quote, a pretty amazing
melt of fighting and platform jumping.
I'm sure there's no text around that.

(01:16:08):
It's like, but yeah, so he gave it a 7.5.
So he enjoyed it decently enough.
But those, that was also the theformula era of GameSpot where,
you know, you put numbers into abox for this.
Yeah, the formula thing that's spit out of a score.

(01:16:31):
I don't know if they adjusted that or anything, but yeah, I
think he was more interested because they made made a
controlling mortal combat and that's good enough for him on
some of that stuff. Yeah, Special Forces.
Was somehow even worse. Yeah, and it barely got any

(01:16:51):
release at all. Yeah, this looks interesting.
That's a word for it. 3D brawl. Is that what this is?
It's a 3D brawler that I think also had guns in it as well
where you're playing as. You were supposed to be able to
play as both Jax and Sonya, but I think the version that got

(01:17:13):
released only let you play Jax. Yeah.
Because it was one of those, this was during the time period
where like, you know, they wouldlike oversell games and then
they would have to like, their budgets would get cut like
midway. So they would have to
drastically, you know, scale it back.

(01:17:35):
Yeah. Yeah, it's it's it.
I never got to play it because again, it barely saw any
release. This was literally a game that
they put out there to die. And it, it's like it's, it's,
it's even worse than what the Sub Zero game is because the Sub

(01:17:56):
Zero game at least had like, like surprises in it and, you
know, interesting art direction and world building.
Yeah, the the Special Forces wasso utterly generic and boring
that it was even worse. Yeah, I imagine they're they

(01:18:18):
mentioned special, not special forces.
What was the brawler that Core was working on around this time?
I imagine they're probably like,we can do that.
Of course, I forgot. If you remember the one I'm
talking about, I was like, this was around 2000, so I think it

(01:18:38):
was like 99, two thousand. That game happened.
I can't remember what the name of that is.
I have 3, three people. Yeah, let me go.
Let me check the Cancel Games wiki.
Let's see, let's. See, I'm looking at cores
releases. Let's see.
Yeah, fighting force. Yeah, more combat.

(01:19:00):
Oh, fighting force was the was that wasn't related.
Core design, no, but I think they were influenced by that
kind of. Thing.
I think they were also the otherthing.
You had a few. Screenshots kind of remind me
of. Also Mortal Kombat Special
Forces is a really good example of a game that only got released
on one system even though it wassupposed to come out for like 3.

(01:19:23):
Yeah, it was supposed to come out on the Nintendo 64 and the
Dreamcast. Yeah, because I think John
Tobias slept in the middle of development for this game.
Yep. I think these spin offs were his
idea, like his spearheading and none of them turned out well so.
Yep. He ended up leaving with some
people. And then we saw what he did when

(01:19:45):
he was left to his own devices and turns out, yeah, Ed Boone
really is kind of the soul of the franchise.
Yeah. And so, yeah, those are two of
them. The third one is a very obscure
version, the Wave Nets version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 in
the arcades, which was a networkversion of this game that they

(01:20:09):
were testing and never really released.
Yeah. Used a dedicated T1 line between
I think there's Chicago and San Francisco offices, Yep, in
Midway and so yeah, they read this out seemed like it probably
worked all right but not well enough to kind of keep going

(01:20:32):
because you weren't going to expect arcades to have dedicated
T1 lines for this kind of thing. But I guess the other thing
that's neat about it is I believe it has specific
characters to it. Yeah, This is the only version
of the game featured the character Noob Cybot, who could

(01:20:54):
be unlocked by the combat code. Yep.
So that's a that's a hell of a lineup of games there.
Plus, you know your 123 Ultimate, Mortal Kombat 3,
Mortal Kombat 4 Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
Yep. Mortal Kombat Advance.
Yep. Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
for the GBA. Yeah.

(01:21:14):
And Mortal Kombat Tournament edition.
That's the full. Line up there.
Not sure why they couldn't get just the regular Mortal Kombat
Deadly Alliance, but. I think because this is trying
to be not the PS2 games. I gotcha, all right.
I'm gonna guess that's a 2D fighting game, and so I was
trying to stick to like that eraof two.

(01:21:35):
D No Deadly Alliance The deadly alliance is 3D.
The GBA. Oh yeah, GBA.
OK, yeah, you're right. My bad.
I was. Going to say that that might be
a little much for it. Yeah.
Maybe they had some free stuff, maybe more in the the Tekken

(01:21:56):
side of things, but those are probably easier to include in
this kind of collection. But yeah, that's that's your
line up there. It's a pretty interesting line
up. I don't think they have a date
yet for this, so we're still waiting on that, but I imagine
that'll probably be announced pretty soon.

(01:22:16):
Exiting. They're running out of time to
release it in this year. Yep, so.
There you go, that was a fun little announcement.
We've got Ease X Proud Nordics is coming to the West but only
for Switch to in PC. Yep.
They're not releasing APS 5 version over here for some
reason, which seems pretty surprising considering outside

(01:22:42):
of this release you could get all the other games on
PlayStation platforms so that's a little surprising.
Yeah, that's definitely bizarre.I don't know if they plan on
doing a DLC or something, but that's weird.
The existence of this one is also weird.
Like, I know that they just wantto like Persona 5 Royal it, you
know, if you will, but the East games don't really need that.

(01:23:04):
I don't really know if I want tojump back into this because this
is actually not, you know, really my favorite of the 3D
releases, but it's interesting to say the least, especially
since there's a Switch version. So, yeah, so yeah, that's that.
That'll be out early next year. Oh yeah.
Not really much else to say there, but yeah, it's an

(01:23:27):
enhanced version with some extracontent in it.
Yeah, this was probably the biggest news for me that SCS
Software finally announced that they were releasing Euro Truck
Simulator to an American Truck Simulator on consoles.
Sort of came a bit early becausethe pages showed up on

(01:23:48):
PlayStation Store and Xbox Storewith trailers and all that for
it. No date on this but they
formally announced it during like one of the With the Future
showcase for games.com and I am excited for this.
I like having it on my PC, but my PC is also not capable of

(01:24:11):
running it super well without turning a bunch of things down
and I would like to have it on APS five that won't melt itself
down trying to truck across the the country or across Europe.
I'll be fully up to buying a bunch of DLC for that stuff.

(01:24:31):
But yeah, I'm looking forward tothis.
It's been a long time coming andyeah, that'll be exciting.
I have some official trucking onthe platform versus what we had
before, which is a bunch of clones taking advantage of the
fact these weren't on the consoles yet.

(01:24:51):
But yeah, there you go for that. Then we got the sequel here.
Freestyle Football 2 was announced.
Premium football game coming to PS-5, Xbox and PC.
It'll also be on Game Pass. So yeah, that seems like their
goal here to be a bit more realistic and provide a more

(01:25:15):
dynamic football experience. At 12 distinct players at
launch, doesn't seem like they have the the NFL players in this
anymore like they did the the first time around.
But maybe I'll add that later on.
They don't think they have a date yet for this thing.
They have a single player or story mode.

(01:25:35):
Yes, in the 20 hours of campaignthere.
Oh, I'm guessing you play for each character's back story of
sorts. And yeah, E sports ready club
system customization stuff. So yeah, looks interesting.

(01:25:56):
So yeah, more soccer stuff here, but yeah, there's that.
Let's see. Yeah, we got this weird
announcement. Shenmue 3 Enhanced.
Yep, on the PS-5, Xbox, Nintendoand PC.
There's going to be an upgrade offer for PS4, PC people, so if

(01:26:17):
you own it already, probably a discount of some sorts.
Yeah. Yeah, they're enhancing all the
the visual stuff, increase NPC density, classic camera mode if
you want that. Yeah, tweaks to the gameplay,
improved interactions, easier ways to skip cutscenes and

(01:26:40):
conversations, and QT stuff being a bit better and all that.
So that's cool. Bring MO 3 to more platforms
still. There and you know, make it not
suck. Probably a dumb question.
I think Brandon, you finished itright.
Yeah. Did they finish the story or is

(01:27:01):
there Is there supposed to be some more?
It you it barely progressed the story at all.
Wonderful. All right.
Yeah. So yeah, there you go for that
one. Also, it's it's really off
putting because that game takes place in like it takes place in
like the mid 80s in China and yet you go around and you'll

(01:27:27):
find like modern day like, you know, gotcha machines.
It's very off putting, yeah likeyou could have gotten away with
that shit in like Hong Kong, butno, you are literally inside
China in Shinmu 3. Yeah.

(01:27:48):
So yeah, that'll be interesting to see.
And yeah, we couldn't get through this. games.com with the
new Tales game, New Tales remaster getting announced.
Yep, they announced Tales of Zillion Remastered for the PS-5
Xbox switching PC. I have played this and the
sequel. Yeah, this will be out October

(01:28:09):
31st. So yeah, this is another one of
the the PS3 games getting remastered.
Oh, they mentioned frame rates. Yeah, OK.
Switch stuck at 30 frames per second, I'm sure.
I wonder if they're going to do any sort of frame rate unlock
for the Switch to. I don't know, but OK.

(01:28:32):
And with this, this chart, there's a chart, but yeah, there
you. Go Yeah, yeah.
And for the record, Tales of Zilly is actually really good.
Yeah, it's one of the. I won't say anything more.

(01:28:54):
It is actually pretty good. Yeah, it's just it was the PS2
era. So you know what?
People have divided opinions on that particular era of the Tail
of the Tail series. Yeah.
So, yeah, there's that. That's it for our main
announcement stuff. We got a couple game industry

(01:29:16):
news here. Sony sold their stake in EVO to
a company called Nodwin Gaming, which I believe they're either
Indian, Indian company. They have somebody else that
will maybe able to do more with it.
Maybe. But yeah, Sony has sold their

(01:29:39):
stakes. So yeah, that's that's the whole
thing. Not really too much of a
surprise. They would.
Get so is is Sony just like not involved anymore at all?
No, they've sold their stakes. So how they are done running it
I guess? Well, this could open the door
for Killer Instinct and Smash again, but who knows?

(01:30:03):
Yeah, so there's that. Let's see, Rod Ferguson, we know
what the he's doing now. He's joined a cloud chamber to
be the head of the Bioshock franchise and help them get
Bioshock 4 out the door, as we found out sort of in the wake of
the recent delays of Bioshock 4.Because it was not coming into

(01:30:29):
shape as they would have liked at this point.
They have announced some layoffs, I believe around 80
people, unfortunately. So it must be going back a bit
in terms of the the development schedule and sort of trying to
restart at least chunk of it, chunk of the work on this game

(01:30:51):
and get to a better place. But yeah, that's a little bit
surprising. But yeah, Rod coming in, not
really too huge of a surprise. He worked on Bioshock Infinites
back in the day, came in for thelater portion of that.
So, yeah, we'll see if he's got the the magic again to help them

(01:31:12):
get out a new Bioshock game. But yeah, there you go.
That's what he's doing these days.
And then up here, we also got probably good news.
Bungie CEO Pete Parsons has stepped down a man who amongst
the community is one of the chief people blamed for the

(01:31:34):
downturn in bungee of late. Particularly not wanting to
really invest in the the studio and all this kind of creating
just a a toxic work environmentsat times with this company of
late. Especially because he I think
when they had their last round of layoffs, people found out he

(01:31:58):
was in his spare time buying a bunch of expensive cars with the
money he's made off of Bungie and Halo and all that stuff.
Yeah, just a person who's not really hurried the favor with
the community as much as you would like for a franchise like
this. So yeah, hopefully him leaving

(01:32:21):
will to maybe some more of the the shitty people running the
company getting out as well and kind of let's the the good
people that want to make Bungie better get them back in the
right direction. We'll see.
But yeah, there you go for that stuff.
Let's see, yeah, it's the end ofour development stories here,

(01:32:46):
but we do have games.com openingNight Live, which will kind of
move through this pretty quicklybecause there's got really a ton
of amazing games here. A lot of stuff is just like, oh,
this showed back up again to do some more stuff, but we'll kind
of move through here pretty quickly.
First up in the pre show stuff, they started off with a kind of

(01:33:06):
a surprising banger here with Bubsy 4D.
Actually looks good. It's developed by Fabras, the
makers of the. Let me see here.
Yeah, Demon Turf and Demon Tides, some really interesting
like 3D platformer games that are listed for this, and it

(01:33:30):
seems like they're making a really interesting 3D platformer
that also pokes fun at the history of Bubsy.
Yeah, it actually says like, yeah, we actually do admit that
those older games were terrible, and there's some.
Costumes and some of them are related to like Bubsy 3D.
Yep. So, yeah, which I guess has the

(01:33:52):
text here, Les Pogons means moreaerodynamic platforming.
So yeah. So yeah, that's a that's a neat
looking game. Looking forward to seeing that.
And that got me to look in like what the history of Bob CIP and
which was owned by a company called Accolade, which back in

(01:34:15):
the day got acquired by Infograms, which then acquired
the Atari rights. And then that whole thing went
out of business. And the like a Japanese company
bought the rights to the Accolade stuff from whatever
fire fire sale was there. And then Atari, a few years ago,
the current Atari bought those rights back from that company.

(01:34:39):
And so now they own all the the Accolade stuff that at least
came together with all that. So they're the bumpsy company
now, which makes it pretty interesting.
So there you go. That's an interesting game.
Let's see the the new Night DiveStudios game is a LucasArts

(01:35:04):
first person shooter called Outlaws.
Then because they're adding somestuff to it's called Outlaws
plus handful of missions remaster.
This is a 1997 Wild West first person shooter from LucasArts.
It's coming to PlayStation, Xboxswitching PC on November 20th.
This looks, it looks like a gamefrom that era.

(01:35:28):
I would, I would definitely say it does not look interesting to
me, but maybe there's people outthere that are really interested
in it. But yeah, this is like, yeah,
this looks like a game from the late 90s, especially the way
that the the gameplay they showed, I was not sure if that
was how it was supposed to actually look because it looked

(01:35:49):
like they missed all their shotsin the trailer they showed.
But yeah, the the cutscenes theyseem to show look very like we
can kind of do, you know, cartoon animation stuff for
this, but we don't have the roomto make it look good.
So it kind of has a really roughlook to it, but looks neat, I

(01:36:11):
guess. So there's that.
Let's see, we got this game called Densha attack.
It's. Basically a 3D train platformer
with a bit of vibe of like dead set radio to it.
You're controlling this like Japanese train that is riding

(01:36:33):
these rails that are going all all these kind of weird places,
picking out enemies and doing tricks and such.
It's really weird looking, but it has a really nice style to it
that looks neat. That'll be out sometime next
year. It seems like spring 2026 for
Xbox and PC, so that's one. That yeah, this actually looks

(01:36:57):
really cool, I got to admit. Yeah, so there's that.
So it looks pretty neat. Then they followed up with He
Man and the Masters of the Universe Dragon Pearl of
Destruction, a new beat em up from Bitmap Bureau that looks
pretty neat. So coming to PS-5 Xbox and PC

(01:37:19):
and switch no date for it yet but very much looks like a maybe
a better than a super Nintendo brawler.
But yeah, kind of in that vein of look based on the the old
cartoon and has a nice look to it.

(01:37:39):
Oh yeah, there you go. Fun stuff there.
No date for this so got a bit togo.
Yeah. Let's see we got yeah Absalom
that was an interesting looking Indy beat em up game PS5PS4
switching PC on October 9th. This looks it come from

(01:38:02):
publisher dot MU and developer guard crush games and super
monks yeah has a really nice like look to it's got almost got
some of that cartoon animation kind of stuff to it really fluid
and great look to it. So that looks neat.

(01:38:24):
Let's see what else is on here. Let's see Routine is an
interesting looking game. This is a a first person sci-fi
horror game coming out later this year.
I believe this has been in development for quite a long
time at this point. Yep, like I've just not been

(01:38:45):
able to figure out the way to get it to the finish line and
have probably started over a fewtimes, but they seemed like they
were finally getting it done. Getting out later this year, be
on Xbox, PC and Game Pass. So that'll be interesting to
see. Let's see.

(01:39:07):
Yeah, there's Road Kings. This is a new Focus
Entertainment game with Sabre Interactive or PS-5, Xbox and PC
as sort of trucker simulation thing.
Yeah, it's set in the South, theAmerican South.
Seems like you're. Yeah, driving around in real
cities. It looks like from.

(01:39:28):
They mentioned Jacksonville and Savannah started as a rookie
driver encountering cunning rivals, helpful allies,
dangerous weather and treacherous roads.
You take on long haul deliveries, carve out reputation
as a veteran owner operator in Rogue Kings immersive world.
I don't know that I need competition in this kind of
game. Especially it looks like there's

(01:39:48):
a lot of environmental destruction stuff as one
screenshot here showing like a bridge it's falling apart that
you're trying to get across or whatever.
Like the trailer showed tornadoes and stuff like that.
And I'm like, I don't know that I need that much trucking game,
but I don't know. It'll be interesting.

(01:40:09):
We'll see. Yeah.
It seems like it's focusing on just Florida and Georgia.
I would say mention here, but yeah, that looks neat.
And I believe they ended here onpair of crossovers with Sonic
Racing Cross Worlds getting a Pac-Man DLC early next year,

(01:40:31):
Pac-Man World Repack 2 getting Sonic DLC later this year.
So if you're a fan of either of those properties or both of
them, you can get both games andplay as the other character in
there for some new content. So yeah, there's that.
Yeah, let's see, let's move on. They showed off more Call of

(01:40:52):
Duty Black Ops 7, there's more stuff in it, Zombies, all that
kind of stuff. Yeah, they spent like a like a
freaking hour on Black Ops 7. Yeah, that'll be out November
14th, so that'll be a big one. They announced Lords of the
Fallen 2, I think a sequel to the most recent Lords of the

(01:41:13):
Fallen, despite the weird way they made two games named Lords
of the Fallen. But yeah, that'll be out next
year. There's a second row Shadows Die
Twice anime coming out, I think the later this year.
So yeah, that'll be on Crunchyroll for that.

(01:41:34):
Let's see. There's Lego Batman legacy, The
Dark Knight. That looks pretty neat.
This is seems like the Lego Batman version of the the recent
Lego Star Wars game. And then it's encompassing all
of the Batman stuff that they can fit into it.
The trailer had a bunch of different references to the
different areas of Batman stuff.Matt Berry voicing Bane, which

(01:42:00):
is a great choice. So that'll be out next year.
Let's see. Yeah, there's Warhammer 40,000
done of War 4. Monster Hunter Wilds and Final
Fantasy 14 are having a collaboration in both
directions. They showed off more on a Musha
Way of the Sword, see Damon X Machina Titanic Scion got a

(01:42:24):
trailer to announce they have a demo out now.
Indiana Jones in a great circle. They have DLC, The Order of the
Giants coming out September 4th and then the switch to version
is out next year. Let's see John Carpenter's toxic
commando resurfaced. Looks pretty neat.
That's PS-5, Xbox, PC early nextyear.

(01:42:48):
Then we got to see the the next Ron Gilbert game, which is
pretty different. It's a game called Death by
Scrolling. It's kind of a vertically
scrolling roguelike RPG thing with a bunch of silly stuff to
it being published by Micropros that has returned from the dead.
So there you go from Micropros. Let's see then the the new game

(01:43:12):
from Zoom, the zombie version ofit's for whoever's still there.
They announced their new CRBG called 0 Parades.
It is about espionage. So that's looking, that looks
interesting, but it's like I don't know who's still there.

(01:43:34):
What's the driving force behind us, other than taking advantage
of this being the technically the studio that made Disco
Lesium? Yeah.
Even though much of the people have left from that project.
Yeah, they have. And they're desperately trying
to, you know, regain all of their previous goodwill that

(01:43:56):
they completely squandered with how they treated the people who
worked on that game. Yeah.
And I mean, visually it looks all right because, you know,
they're still using a lot of thesort of visual ideas that that
that Disco Elysium did, but it'svery clear that it, the soul

(01:44:21):
just isn't in it. Yeah, there's that.
Let's see, we got Unbeatable, the neat looking anime rhythm
adventure game. It's finally got a date,
November 6th. Yep.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is out October 21st.
The word is the platinum part ofthe team that's working on that.

(01:44:44):
Maybe it's the one winning out in the gameplay style, which is
interesting. Let's see we got Silent Hill F
they showed off some more. That's let's see, we got a new
game called La Divina Comedia, asouls like inspired by the
Divine Comedy. Yeah, they're actually trying to

(01:45:07):
make the Divine Comedy a game again, only this time it's a
Souls like instead of the God ofWar clone.
Yeah, that is from the Anotria, the Last Song devs, so that
could be pretty neat. Yeah, actually does look pretty
neat. Yeah, let's see, we got The
Outer Worlds 2 with the trailer. That'll be on October 29th.

(01:45:31):
Let's see, we got, let's see. Moonlighter 2 will be out in
Early Access October 23rd on PC.Vampire to the Masquerade
Bloodlines 2 finally got a date October 21st.
We'll see if it gets that. And you know, I thought this

(01:45:53):
game was going to be vaporware for the longest time and.
Now it's two months away. Yeah, and honestly, I don't know
how I feel about it. Yeah, we'll find out.
Colts of the Lamb has a paid expansion coming early next
year. That'll be Woolhaven, what's

(01:46:15):
called? So more satanic cult stuff going
on. So yeah, there you go for that.
Then we got to see. Let's see.
Yeah. World of Tanks announced World
of Tanks heats a hero version ofWorld of Tanks, which is weird.
Yeah, I think. I think the term they use is

(01:46:37):
it's hero enhanced. I'm like oh then you better have
dildo tree drunk in a tank as one of your heroes.
Yeah, seriously. So I.
Don't want to see anything else. There's goes of Yote, Yeah,
that's got a trailer before it comes out October 2nd, mostly to
announce they're doing a new Legends mode for this game

(01:47:00):
that'll be out next year, so that'll be cool.
That'll be free. Then.
We got to see it more of Resident Evil Requiem.
Still no gameplay really, it's more cutscene stuff.
But I see Grace Ashcroft and hermom.
Yeah, still alive, not dead likein the the Resident Evil online

(01:47:24):
game, but there's that. And then they ended on the
announcement of Blackmith Zhongqi, the sequel to Blackmith
Wukong. Yeah, it'll be out next year as
they do more of that game. No real details then they're out

(01:47:46):
there so. Yeah, they're doing a new
character this time. Last one you were playing, you
know, you know, the Monkey King. This time you're playing
Zhongqi, who is AI. Think he's the bad guy?
Yeah, in the last one, basically.
Big big dude, big Blackbeard, bulging eyes, that guy.

(01:48:10):
Yep. So yeah, that'll be an
interesting thing to see. But yeah, more of that.
Yeah. For people to check out at some
points next year. So that's kind of your show?
Yep. I cut out most of the Genshin
Impact stuff at least to talk about.
Yeah, because. There's a lot of it and it's

(01:48:32):
like, that's cool, but also. Yeah.
It's it's a segment of these shows that they're always weird
to see. Yeah.
But yeah, I think Dan had to go so.
Yeah, we had a heart out. So yeah, we're almost done.
Anyway, yeah, anything here thatreally interests you, Brandon?

(01:48:54):
Well, let's see. Oddly enough, the Bubsy game
actually does kind of interest me just by the sheer novelty of
it and the fact that it actuallylooks decent compared to
everything else in that franchise that's ever been
produced. Let's see, Long Gone looks neat.

(01:49:16):
See John Carpenter's talks Commando definitely looks neat,
but I'm also a big John Carpenter fan anyway, so 0
parades it it. It looks interesting, but
considering what Zoom has done to the people who did who of the

(01:49:40):
original founders and creative teams, I'm really not I'm I'm
suspicious is how I'll put it. Ninja Gaiden 4 Ninja Gaiden 4
looks cool. Silo Hill F actually is.
When I found out that you know, Ryukishi O 7 was the writer

(01:50:02):
definitely got me interested. The Outer Worlds 2 I'm
definitely interested in becauseI really liked the first Outer
Worlds game, even though it definitely was lacking for
content. In some ways it was a little
just too short. Yeah.
And yeah, and Ghost of Yote, obviously.

(01:50:24):
I mean, I've, I've been heavily anticipating that one since they
announced it. Yeah.
But yeah, that's about it. Yeah, for me, yeah, Bub, Z40
just seems interesting. There's not really even many
platform platformers that are really looking like that.
No, these days, I mean, no, I mean, you've got, you know,

(01:50:46):
you've got Astrobot, which is anamazing game in and of itself,
and you got the there's a lot. More momentum to it than.
Yeah. Astrobot has.
It's almost like if we got a good Sonic 3D platformer in a
way. Yeah, that looks pretty neat.

(01:51:08):
Yeah. I don't know what else here
really got me like Lego Batman probably is going to be pretty
cool, though I don't think that's until until next year.
Onamusha could be pretty cool. We'll see how that goes.
Death by Scrolling looks neat. I'm always up for more Ron
Gilbert. Oh yeah.

(01:51:29):
With all that's unbeatable also looks really interesting.
So there's that's and yeah, I don't know Ghost of Yote and I'm
really excited for Moonlighter 2.
I'm looking forward to but I don't need to check out this
early access really yeah, that'sthat's it.

(01:51:52):
There's still a ton of stuff coming out this year that I'm
looking forward to so. Yeah.
This didn't really add a ton of new stuff, but had a few things,
which is good. Yeah, this is always kind of the
weakest of his shows. Because it's just.
Kind of what's left to announce.Yeah, before we hit the autumn

(01:52:15):
season and then we just get absolutely blitzed with new
releases. Yeah, because it's like, oh, you
got Call of Duty and it's like, yeah, that was going to get
announced at some point. Yeah.
Not sure why they had to spend so much time on it though.
I imagine Microsoft paid for it.True.

(01:52:37):
Yeah. And that's what the show is.
They pay for the time. Yep.
You know, they had the the extrasegment of having the guys from
Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy14, but how much they like each
other's games and how much they want to do work together.
Like they haven't done that a bunch of times already at this

(01:52:57):
point. Yeah.
And they had the weird Kronos segment where they had a guy in
cosplay, like, I'm the guy from Kronos.
I'm not doing anything. I'm not going to say anything.
We'll go to gameplay. So you know what actually this
is about? But yeah.
Yeah. That stuff all looks neat, so

(01:53:19):
looking forward to it. And we got TGS here and I think
a few weeks still, like in the next month or so, we'll have
more announcements. And yeah, that'll be it.
So I think we'll wrap it up here.
Thank you, Brandon for joining. Always.
Yeah, we'll be back next week with a new slate of news and

(01:53:40):
games to talk about as the the releases never stop.
Yeah, what do we got this this week here about Gears of War
Reloaded, Hell Divers to Bass Adventure, Cobra, The Awakening
on the 26th Story of Seasons, The Grand Bazaar, Kirby and the

(01:54:03):
Forgotten Land, Nintendo Switch 2 edition plus Star Crossed
World. Yeah, which I have pre-ordered.
And the weird thing? You can't play the Switch one
edition at least easily. Like it takes over.
The takes over the icon for the switch one version.
So you have to, like, click on it, and it's like, well, you

(01:54:23):
can't play this, and it switchesover to the Switch One version.
Like, why can't these just be separate versions?
Yeah, seriously. Instead of me being like, you're
telling me to download this, butthere's no download button here
with the Switch One version because it wouldn't tell me it
was there as I've done. That was all weird.

(01:54:46):
Let's see, is the Nightling Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake
Eaters finally out? Yeah, the.
Robot Wars, Why and Violets thenLost soul aside on the 29th and
Shinobi Art of Vengeance. Yep.
Yeah, so a bunch of stuff. Apparently a bunch of people are

(01:55:06):
like, why is Metal Gear Solid 3 design like APS 2 game?
And it's like because it's APS. It's APS 2 game, yes.
It's like it's designed that waybecause of the limitations, and
they're not going to make the changes needed to make all those
areas more accessible without loads.

(01:55:27):
Yeah, because that would also require completely changing the
the guard AI and all that stuff to be able to go between rooms.
That's just one of the ways you could get out of an alert to
just run to another room. Yep.
Like, oh, see ya, you know how doors work.
Bye. Just part of the strategy.

(01:55:49):
But yeah, that is going to do it.
Enjoy the show for let friends and family know, check out the
podcast and select strangers that are also looking forward to
the dozens of games that are coming out.
Dear God, our wallets are going to be shrieking in agony by the
time this year is over. Yeah.

(01:56:10):
So yeah, thank you all for tuning in.
Hope you have a good week ahead. We'll see you all next time.
Have a good one. Bye.
