Why was so much potential juicy drama wrapped up with a neat little bow on top? Where was the conflict between Martin and his cousin over the fact that Naomi basically violated a closed adoption? Where was the conflict between Smitty and Martin? Where was the drama of Smitty and Martin telling the kids? Where was the conflict between the kids? Why didn’t Naomi get more blowback from all of them? Where was the juice? Where was the mess? The drama could have played out for weeks before the actual meeting.
