#125 - Ongelooflijke Café: De betovering van taal, wiskunde en geloof (met cabaretier Jan Beuving en theoloog Stefan Paas)

Het was een zeer ongemakkelijk interview, vijf jaar geleden op NPO Radio 1. Cabaretier Jan Beuving weigerde in een interview bij het programma Kunststof te praten over zijn geloof. Maar in zijn nieuwe voorstelling - Restante - staat zijn christelijke geloof juist centraal. Wat is er gebeurd? Cabaretier en christelijk, dat klinkt misschien als een moeizame combinatie, maar dan is Beuving ook nog een man van de wiskunde en de wetenschap. Hoe gaat dat allemaal samen in één hoofd? Beuvings voorstelling 'Restante' kreeg vijf sterren in Trouw en vier in De Telegraaf en NRC. Eerder won hij al de cabaretprijs Neerlands Hoop en de Annie M.G. Schmidtprijs. Ook is hij bekend voor zijn vele bijdrages aan het NPO Radio 1-programma De Taalstaat. In dit eerste Ongelooflijke Café, live in Café Carèl in Utrecht, gaat David Boogerd in gesprek met cabaretier, wiskundige en taalvirtuoos Jan Beuving en uiteraard vaste gast theoloog Stefan Paas. En er wordt niet allleen gepraat, Jan Beuving zingt ook nog twee liederen onder begeleiding van zijn geweldige pianist Tom Dicke.
