In 2040 zijn er vier keer zoveel 100-jarigen in Nederland dan nu. Maar hoe blijven we fit en zelfstandig? In deze 8-delige serie maakt de Universiteit van Nederland, samen met jou, kennis met wetenschappers die op zoek zijn naar de formule voor een gezond leven.
In deze aflevering: Mensen in kwetsbare situaties - met weinig geld, zonder vast thuis of met andere problemen - worden vaak tot 25 jaar eerder ziek en leven gemiddeld 8 jaar korter. Wetenschappers zetten alles op alles om die ‘gezondheidskloof’ te dichten, maar het onderzoek sluit meestal niet aan bij de mensen die het het hardst nodig hebben. Carlijn Kamphuis (Universiteit Utrecht) en Margret Franssen (Wageningen University & Research) leggen uit hoe dit komt. We gaan met hen langs bij een adviesraad die bestaat uit mensen in kwetsbare situaties. Zij helpen onderzoekers om hun studies beter te laten aansluiten bij de praktijk.

The Brothers Ortiz
The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
