Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, and welcome to episode. I don't even I didn't
even look. I'll be honest with you, I didn't even
the episode number. I have no twenty eight for twenty eight.
Why don't you start doing the intro? Smart guy?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
I'm just see I normally don't say anything.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
You get something right, and you're like, you know what, smart?
Speaker 4 (00:19):
Smart?
Speaker 5 (00:20):
Why don't you do.
Speaker 6 (00:22):
You can make a montage of me saying, oh, no,
very nice, you got it? You know, like, I never
that's funny, I never actually say the number. Actually, you
don't because he's been he's been so consistent and.
Speaker 7 (00:33):
He never will again.
Speaker 5 (00:34):
Take that, mylon, I got a question for you. Imagine
you will, and now let me set a picture in
the landscape of your mind. Milon.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Imagine that you're away, right, You're you're doing some other
out of the house business, and your wife calls you
and says, the cops are here. They're looking for you
and your car.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
What do you do?
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Like?
Speaker 5 (01:08):
What what is your first.
Speaker 8 (01:09):
Such an imaginary land where I'm outside of the house.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Looking for my God? Be like, what God? It's under
your name?
Speaker 5 (01:22):
Baby?
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Let me let me give you some more information. This weekend,
I was out doing a photo shoot and the cops
came to the house. I was not here, and let
me let me just tell you what happened. You guys,
you guys, can you guys can inform me what should
I what should have happened. If the cops came to
the house, they knocked to the door loudly. They're peeping
in the windows, especially in the garage.
Speaker 6 (01:48):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
My wife answers the door. She's kind of like.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
It was early so she was still half asleep, and
she said, They say, uh, it is David Cunningham here,
And I said uh, and my wife said, no, he's.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
DC. So she says, no, he's at work.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
And the cops are like, well, does he drive a
black Ford Mustang. She's like, yes, but it's he didn't
take it with him. It's in the garage. And they're like,
can we see in the garage and she says, sure,
let me open the garage door for you. And the
cops come and look at the Mustang and then explain
(02:36):
that there was a hit and run the previous night
and that the mirror had been smashed off of the
Ford Mustang and since my mirror was there, it must
not have been my And they moved on, right, they
moved to a different place. Well, I mean you have
to register your car, right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
But it wasn't your Mustang.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
But it was just going around. I think.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
I think that's exactly what they were doing. They're just
looking for black Mustangs. It changed that, Mirrit pretty quick. Huh. Luckily,
I have a couple of spares, you know, a couple
of extra headlights, you know, just a case.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
So let me ask you, guys, what would you have
done in that switch situation?
Speaker 9 (03:27):
I said, I am a green holder. I'm not coming home,
tell me when they're gone.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
So I immediately said, you didn't let them in the garage?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Did you get a warrant?
Speaker 5 (03:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Get a warrant?
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (03:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (03:47):
I'm kind of suspicious with you, brou because you know,
like if you allow them, then I intend you to
have to show them and stuff.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
And it's like, you don't really know what.
Speaker 8 (03:54):
I guess if they told you more information we're looking
for rhyme they should be damaging the card, then then probably,
But that's.
Speaker 7 (04:01):
What I would do. I think I would have asked, like, well,
can't you even what exactly.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Are you looking for?
Speaker 7 (04:05):
You know, like, all right, so do you want to
see it.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Additional information, my car was parked on the street the
night before because we were out kayaking, and the kayaksers
aren't stored in the grass, so you have to kind
of like shuffle all the cars around to likely.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
So I was thinking to myself, like, imagine if my.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Car if somebody clipped it, if somebody clipped my mirror,
I'd tail right tail.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
Yeah, I mean, did you say when they pulled up,
like she saw the car and like they were in
you know.
Speaker 5 (04:36):
I was no, she called me. I was at work.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
Yeah, but like these days, I'd be like, I think
I would have just like you would have, since they're
obviously cops, and I would have been like, yeah, I
don't mind cooperating. But when you when you when you
ask about it, like this, there is I would say,
there is also the distinct possibility I'd be like, look,
that's not my name, habit to help out. Uh, this
is my husband's name, so maybe you could check that
(05:00):
out and if you need to come back and like
really look at this, but like with you know you stuff,
like yeah, you might hesitate and be like is this
really necessary? Like you know, this is not a match description.
I don't want to be apart why I was there.
Speaker 8 (05:16):
He would be sweating so much from all these guilty posse.
Speaker 6 (05:23):
He'd be like kicking something around the other side of
the door, like.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
Why are you so much.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Alone?
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah that's right, Yeah, yeah, I'd say there's a slight chance.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
I would have been like, it's not me and if
you just need to come back, you're You're free to,
but I'd rather not.
Speaker 8 (05:45):
He's more important thing. When she called you, did you
say everything's okay? Because I feel like no story that
always like if so, like Tom's I've had to go
to Hostele with the kid, I always saw everything.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
You know, everything guy, like you know if it doesn't
that's that's a twin point monitoreduction.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
That she should have just like to really mess with them.
She should have been like, the cops are here and
I want you to get out of down right now,
coc go And they ripped the phone out of her,
screaming at the phone. They pulled her away from it.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
When she said the police are here. I did have
an honest reaction.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Like because about two or three weeks ago, I did
tear down like I was at a church that had
like this, like pamphlet like posted to the front of
the door that was like, oh we hate trance people
and gay people are going to hell.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
I'm like, this is bullship. I ripped it off off
the door.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
The church.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Thought you were in for vandalism.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
When I came in, That's what I thought.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
I was like, oh god, it came up. Well the
pastor saw do it. Oh just looking at me, I
was good.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Go you screw you, guy, screw you.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
My name is Brian.
Speaker 10 (07:15):
I living these drags outside.
Speaker 7 (07:20):
And the mirrors are perfectly fine.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
The plot thickens, Yeah, the pastor set you up.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
The past he bought a black That's like.
Speaker 7 (07:32):
He's trying to frame you. And then when they hit somebody.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Mean a matter of time until it caught up with you.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Yeah, I don't know. I mean, don't let the cocks in.
Speaker 7 (07:42):
Your Maybe maybe he maybe he hates trans ams and
that's what it was, that's what he meant.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Oh maybe maybe wrapped he just hates.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Second the car.
Speaker 7 (07:58):
People will get it. It's a good job, a good joke.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
It is actually really solid.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
So we are glad you're not in prison.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
Thank you me too.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
You know, like I feel like every morning I wake
up I'm like, nope, not in prison, all right.
Speaker 7 (08:18):
But if you tuned into the podcast next week and
the background looks like a cheap motel.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
I'm having a planned absence from the podcast.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
That's right. He is gone next week.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
I've never gotten this much of a heads up.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
I knew last week. I just forgot to tell you.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
That's why I said it in Twitter, because I was like,
if I forget again tonight, then it's gonna be like
the night.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
Before before I remember.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
If at all.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
So, we had Summer Games Fest, we had the Xbox Showcase.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
We had Lives of Pe come out or the Last
P Experience you come out?
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yeah? What else?
Speaker 5 (09:04):
What am I forgetting here?
Speaker 9 (09:05):
Well?
Speaker 3 (09:05):
You can show in there the Future game.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Show that Mind's Eye Game came out. Everybody was talking about.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
I came out like the old like cross your eyes
like and look at the stare at the three D images.
Speaker 7 (09:21):
I know.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
The game.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
That's fun.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
That makes sense, that's what they were trying to do.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Mm hmm, what do you want to know?
Speaker 5 (09:35):
I want to hear. I kind of want to hear
about Last P.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Honestly, Okay, they shadow drop Lies of P.
Speaker 9 (09:42):
Yeah they did, and uh, I was watching the Summer
Game Fest with Mylon, who was invaded breath waiting for
the inevitable announcement of Our Raiders being shadow dropped, and
I said, Mylon, there's a rumor that lies of p
DLC might get shadow dropped.
Speaker 4 (09:59):
And I went on, if I don't get my game
and you get your.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Game, yeah, I did get it, but I see some thing.
Speaker 9 (10:11):
I wish you got it because I didn't want it
because I'm addicted to my rate. I haven't played in
the three demo. I wanted to play a night Raine
some more. There's Death Stranding two coming out soon.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
There's a lot going on.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
I said that last week without all that too. I
was like, I don't want our creators right now, so happy.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
List.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
I already tried to tell you last week. He tried
to will blow.
Speaker 6 (10:34):
Yeah, it is good context on Arc Creators released it
and everything that they I mean, they had to apologize
to the community because they hyped them up with a
freaking arg countdown.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
I guess I could see why you thought something big
is coming.
Speaker 8 (10:46):
Well, we're getting off the laws of Paytrion, but it
kind of gets fron so like, OK, writors. Yeah, they
previously shadow dropped the finals at the Game Awards.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
I think it was, you know, similar to Summer Games Fest, And.
Speaker 8 (11:00):
They also released an arg that basically there was a
Steam update and only some people saw it, and it
linked to like a countdown timer after you like went
into the files of the game after the update and
like found like an executable that led you to you know,
this website and it was a countdown timer. And the
countdown timer finished at the Summer Games Festival, and in
(11:25):
their mind, the countdown timer led to the announcement trailer
of the date which is October thirtieth, not the release
of the game, but because of you know, their previous
experience with shadow dropping and the effort in the arg
people thought, including me, that it would be a shadow
dropped arkrads, especially since the state of the technical test
(11:46):
was pretty bloody good and there are a lot of
questions in the feedback form like is this game ready
to launch?
Speaker 4 (11:52):
So you know a lot of things were lining up.
Speaker 8 (11:55):
It wasn't unreasonable to think it was going to drop
and then ah, yeah, October thirtieth, And at that time,
I was like, wow, that's a long time of wait.
I hadn't played anything else for this week apart from
playing arc Raador. So I guess I've got to do
that now. And then when I got off stream, my
wife said, I heard you talking. You do realize that
your second child will be born on October fifteenth.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Man, they got you good.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
So you're just never playing Creators.
Speaker 8 (12:21):
You're not going to be it's quite literally just for
me personally, like whatever, Like the game's gonna be fantastic now,
it's got so much like they they they've talked about
adding more maps, more than three maps. They're talking about
adding like more events, like more world puzzles, Like the
game is going to be in such a crazy good
state if they still work on all those things.
Speaker 10 (12:41):
Personally, the worst possible time is there any where you
can move the baby around a little bit, like, yeah,
hurry that up, maybe you.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
Get it out of the way.
Speaker 8 (12:54):
You did think about floating that idea with Danny, and
then I got.
Speaker 9 (12:58):
To Danny, there's a video game coming out, so if
we could like speed your body up a little bit.
Speaker 7 (13:12):
Unnecessary we have so there's like some hormone injections we
could do that kind of get things.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
Moving, jump up and down.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
I don't know, Sad, I was sad.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
Yeah, I'm really happy to. So does this do you
have to have played the main game to play the news?
Speaker 7 (13:35):
Is it like a continuation of the story or is
this yes, own standalone thing.
Speaker 9 (13:40):
It's so it's a prequel, which is why in my
head I was like, oh, we're probably not going to
keep the same character.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
It might be like its own standalone thing.
Speaker 9 (13:48):
So when I loaded up and they're like, you have
to get to chapter nine in order to gain access
to the d LC, and I was like, oh, because
I was in New Game Plush, so I'm in New
Game Plus.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
And I was in chapter seven not too far, thank goodness.
Speaker 9 (14:05):
And they also added difficulty options, so I put it
on easy. I just freaking ran my ass to the DLC,
like I'm getting there.
Speaker 8 (14:15):
You agree with his whole I get to certain points.
It's not a DLC because I don't like that.
Speaker 9 (14:20):
Uh I, I don't mind if I'm told ahead of time.
I think it's rough when it's when it's shadow dropped
and you're like, oh, okay, especially.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
As a prequel, so you kind of think it's gonna
be like its staying alone.
Speaker 9 (14:35):
I for sure thought it was just was a was
a different thing, or at least like not having to
get to a specific part. Like maybe you have to
have the base game, but I didn't expect to have
to get to get to a specific part.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
I don't mind, know that it's part of like a story,
but like from a technological reason, it irks me right
that I don't know many games that either. Well, I
already got to that part of the game, so just
save it for when you do the DLC. Just let
me jump in regardless of if I beat it. I'm
on New Game Plus. Just save that book market and then.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Say, you know they do now so if you if
you play now and you get to chapter nine, you
will always have the item in your inventory, no matter
how many new games pluses you do.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
So they retroactively.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
It wasn't retroactive. Oh so you have to get to
level nine again chapter nine? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Like so wait, wait, I already beat the game. I
have a saved game, but I have to.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
Oh if you haven't, if you haven't gone into New
Game Plus, you're fine.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
I definitely went into a New Game Plus. I don't
know how far I went.
Speaker 6 (15:37):
When when did they add when they add this item
with the d oh, so it doesn't happen unless you're
playing the game.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
For the first time. Now it wouldn't help.
Speaker 6 (15:48):
But once you have it, For example, if I go
all the way through the new game plus, I can
just jump right in.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, what's almost right.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
How did how did they set this up? Like you
get the level, Yeah, you get this item, and then
what happens.
Speaker 9 (16:02):
And then I don't know if you guys remember if
you've played Lives of p but there's like an area
where you're in kind of like a rundown village and
there's like a gold stargazer, which is like this game's
bonfire and it's kind of just like hidden and it's
got leaves on it and stuff. And I was always like,
wonder what that's about, and they never answered it. Well,
that's how you get to the d LC. So you
(16:24):
go to this one spot, which it marks it on
your chapter select so you know where to go, and
it takes you into the DLC, and it's taking you,
like story wise, right before the puppet frenzy. The puppet
frenzy is what you experience in Lies of p where
all the puppets have gone mad, they're all killing everybody.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
It is like before that puppets were.
Speaker 9 (16:46):
Supposed to, you know, help people, and they were like
greeting people in hotels and all that stuff, just like AI.
Speaker 5 (16:51):
Are friendly neighborhood.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
And then yeah, and then they turn into murder puppets
and kill everybody.
Speaker 9 (16:59):
So you're finding about all of that kind of story,
and you start.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
In the winter in the zoo and then you go
from there. The DMC is very hard, yes, Okay, so.
Speaker 7 (17:14):
I've seen a lot of people who are like, oh
my gosh, delcs kicking masks.
Speaker 9 (17:18):
Yeah, so it's really difficult anyway. It is extra difficult
if you're a new game anything. And I'm talking like
the regular enemies.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Will too shot you.
Speaker 9 (17:32):
So you'll be fighting like three wolves and all of
them can too shot you, every single one of them.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (17:39):
So they've come out and said that they've heard the
feedback about you know, maybe the scaling being a little wonky,
and they're going to be working on it too, but
they need to test it and make sure it all
makes sense and feels good. And I do I do
think that they should, because it makes it There's a
very thin line between something being challenging and something slipping
into being frustrating, and if you're just traversing an area
(18:02):
and there's a group of three regular enemies and all
of them too shot you. That could end up just
being frustrating. So I definitely think that the scaling is wonky.
Speaker 7 (18:13):
Well, especially with DLC's because my problem when it comes
to DLCs is that I have this issue where I've
played the game right and then I set it down
and I walk away. Then a DLC comes out and
I'm like, I don't even remember the controls, let alone
the bills I was.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Using or what my approach was.
Speaker 7 (18:26):
Now you get thrown right into this even harder scaled, Yeah,
I would be. I'd be a mess.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
It's really that kind of feel like Friends kind of.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Tree.
Speaker 9 (18:38):
It is, so it's so punched like Shout of the
Ar Tree definitely had that same thing. But I felt
like I felt like things, This feels like, this feels
off right, Like Rod There's you can just feel knowing
what Liza P Based game was, and Liza P. Bass
was a tough game, but it always felt fair and challenging,
(18:59):
and this felt like like something.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Just feels off.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Yeah, I just feel you think, do.
Speaker 8 (19:04):
You think people like I also think like elden Ring
had a fan following that, like, continue to play the
game well after you know, the original release, right into
the day ILC where I think likelies of pays something
you pick up and then put down, Like like TV
was saying, do you think it was that was what
made the extra challeity?
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Do you think it was just off?
Speaker 3 (19:25):
It's off for sure.
Speaker 9 (19:27):
Having regular enemies too shot you, like I'm talking about
like a guy with maybe two moves in his moveset
a rat.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yeah, and like all of the.
Speaker 9 (19:41):
All of the regular not the regulars, but all like
the mini bosses, they're all so tanky and do so
much damage.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Like it's it's kind of nuts.
Speaker 9 (19:51):
It's kind of crazy, right, So I do I do
hope And they said they're going to look into that,
and I think they should for sure, because it just
feels a little bit off. But the new weapons are insane.
They're really good. There's some very very cool new weapons.
For one of them, you bring everything, yep, yep, you
(20:12):
bring absolutely everything Cronaventum, so we can touch on this
before we move on to all the cool stuff. But
they did add difficulty options. Well, this is this is
one of the reasons that I don't like difficulty options
in these games, because the hardest difficulty is apparently the
default what it always was, what Lizope always has been,
(20:33):
and then there's two easier than that.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
I don't like that.
Speaker 9 (20:38):
It could be said, I don't know if this is
true or not, but it could be said that the
scaling of the default difficulty is off because they added
two easier difficulties.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Like because now if I'm in a in a state where.
Speaker 9 (20:52):
I'm like, this kind of just feels a little off,
but I don't want to I don't want to go
to the easier one because then that doesn't feel right.
Now I'm in a situation where it's like, yeah, you
can bounce back and forth whenever you want. Yeah, So
I think there's it's not a conversation of this. DLC
is just so difficult and just got to like get
over it. I do think that it feels off. I
(21:12):
don't think that like wolves should one or two shot
you then feels a bit weird. Just feels a bit
weird anyway, So they're gonna be looking into that. I
think it's makes a lot of sense that they are
looking into that. And yes, you can like get used
to it and kind of get over it as you're
going through the game, but it still does make the
(21:34):
areas less fun to explore, less fun to traverse.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
I don't think it's a positive thing.
Speaker 9 (21:41):
But the weapons are really cool, so I'll give you
some options.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
One of them is a gun blade. Literally, if they
were to make Final Fantasy eight remake, they should use
this gun blade. It's crazy. It's so good. You can
like jump into the enemy, you can jump back with
shooting the gun, and it's it's super cool. The move
set is amazing. They added a bow.
Speaker 9 (22:06):
They added, uh, there's a weapon that's like a child's
pinwheel kind of thing, you know, the thing that spins
in the wind, so you run around. No, no, okay, no,
this is the first one.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Do they still have like the weapon combination system where
you're like, yes, taking bits and pieces from weapons and
combining room to make any weapon.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Yes.
Speaker 9 (22:26):
Yeah, So the pinwheel you run and it starts to
spin up the blades, and then you do more damage
when it spins up the blades, so it kind of
changes the way you play.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
It's really cool. They've added a straight up flamethrower where
your light attack just is a flame thrower. They added
a lance that like propels you forward on like a.
Speaker 9 (22:46):
Jets So the weapons are like super unique, really creative,
really really really cool. The weapons are really good, and
the bosses have been really cool except for the alligator
crocodile guy.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Besides him, it's all been great.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
How long How long did Dale say, like, what's the
predicted hour commitment?
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Supposedly fifteen hours?
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Thirty because it's a bit overtuned, it's probably longer than that,
forty five, a bit longer, yeah, probably. How was the
cast is it? What's the cost for it?
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Thirty bucks?
Speaker 4 (23:23):
Eight bucks? Yep?
Speaker 9 (23:24):
Okay, And they also added like a boss rush mode.
They added some other things that to the game, so
when you are done with that, you can, you know,
go and play other stuff within it.
Speaker 6 (23:35):
And that's packed into the DLC. It's not like a
free update.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
Oh that's a free update.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Oh okay, so they both kind.
Speaker 9 (23:43):
Of Yep, it came out at the same time, but
uh yeah, Like the level design continues to be great.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
The music is really good. The storytelling is.
Speaker 9 (23:51):
Really really good, and it does make sense as you
play through the game that they require you to get
to a certain point in the story because of the
story that they're telling. But yeah, the story in Lizapia
has always been really cool. I love the way they
tell the story. They're a bit more direct than like
from Soft, but you do still also have like items
and letters that you can read to kind of get
(24:13):
a deeper understanding about stuff.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
The story of the Tungets I thought was especially It
was a little deeper than the story of Pinocchio and
geppetto where that's laid out for you. But the story
of the puppets was very interesting.
Speaker 5 (24:26):
That was a little more in in the lore.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Yeah, yeah, I really like that.
Speaker 9 (24:31):
There's a mixture, like you could just play the game
and just watch cutscenes and listen to stuff and you
know the story, but if you want to know a
little bit more, you can dive into that if you want.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
Yeah, yeah, so yes, how far much have you played
of it? So far?
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Ooh? How much?
Speaker 9 (24:49):
It's hard to say the hours because I don't know
because it just puts it all together. I want to say,
maybe maybe twelve hours.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Okay, I am into it. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (25:03):
What do you think? Good? Is it a go for it?
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Definitely?
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Good?
Speaker 5 (25:07):
Like nor races, just get it put it on medium.
Speaker 8 (25:10):
If you're a whimpling, but it sounds like Matt and
White for the balance first.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
Yeah, if that worked well for me the last time.
Speaker 9 (25:17):
If you want to be on the default difficulty and
have it maybe feel a bit a bit better, especially
if you're on a New Game Plus, then waiting for
that makes sense. If you don't mind bumping it down,
then you can always just you can always do that,
and you can do it.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
You wonder how far Level nine want all my stuff?
Though I have had all the good stuff.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
You keep most of your stuff into New Game Plus.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
I might be a New Game Plus too, I might
have finished the game twice day.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Yeah, well you're bumping that. Bumping that difficulty down might
feel extra.
Speaker 9 (25:49):
You might hit a good spot with New Game Plus two.
It basically from what I can tell, it takes it
from like a one to two shot to maybe a
four to five shot kind of things.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
So it's still challenging for sure. You just have more
margin of error. And then there's one easier than that
where you can just like face tank things pretty much.
Speaker 5 (26:15):
That's experience. Take stuff.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
It's good. It's good. Stuff continues to be good.
Speaker 5 (26:23):
Great. I'm really excited.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
I'm so happy Yeah, these stubs are great.
Speaker 9 (26:27):
I can't wait to see what they do in the
next like big game that they make new game.
Speaker 5 (26:32):
Have they said what their next game is going to be?
Speaker 3 (26:36):
No, they haven't said anything about I.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Mean the way they left Lies a p mm hmmm.
Like I was like, I can't wait for a sequel
to this.
Speaker 5 (26:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
I don't want to spoil it for anybody, but man, yeah,
like it's so wide.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Open without spoiling it.
Speaker 6 (26:50):
I was wondering would they be positively would they ever
do something like Lies of something else, like inspired by
a different Okay, so that's probably that's what I would do.
And I haven't finished much of it, but I'm like,
this was such a cool inspiration and I could see
them taking that same thing. But then you get a
whole new like world and inspiration from something else.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Yeah, what would it be?
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Well, they lay it out what it would be.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
Oh, okay, so it's a little so they do hints
that they've already got Yeah, oh and it would be okay,
I don't want to.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Yeah, let's see.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
Yeah, public domain right kind of.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
It's really cool that they they now they could do
all sorts of fairy tales, right, and you don't even
have to just stick to like, you know, Western known
fairy tales. You could go to all over the world.
There's so much there that they could draw inspiration from.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
You know, they should do the was it Steamboat Mickey?
The Black and White?
Speaker 5 (27:49):
Yes? Public domain?
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Now they I.
Speaker 6 (27:53):
Don't think you can take it that far, but it'd
be hilarious if they made a whole game based on that.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
It's just like super for like off the cup Head.
Speaker 6 (28:02):
Yeah, yeah, but it doesn't actually feature like but totally.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
I mean that's a good point, man, amazing.
Speaker 6 (28:11):
Yeah, shadow, Yeah, I won't waste so much time all
the news.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
But actually the big news was beat Night Rain.
Speaker 6 (28:22):
So that was really nice to get through all eight
bosses and just to be surprised.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Yeah, and it's weird. It's weird right with a three player?
What's that?
Speaker 5 (28:29):
You're done with that now? You finished? Second? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (28:31):
Definitely not. I want to play more with these folks.
But anyway, it's I didn't like. It wasn't unexpected the
way that the world develops and it being from Soft,
but it's really impressive for a forty dollars co op experience,
and how they have so much tender, loving.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Care, and.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
It's I couldn't believe, like sort of as the world
evolves and the journey stuff with each character, but then
especially how the last boss and things play out beyond
that as like a full experience. I was like, they're
just cooking. It's incredible.
Speaker 8 (29:01):
I think it's a like really good example of just
a completely different gameplay loop set in a game's universe,
you know, And I think sometimes like that's always good,
Like you I want this combat, I want I want
you know, elder ring environments, bosses, but you know, uh,
maybe a different gameplay loop. And I don't know how
often we see that, so it's good. Yeah, hopefully we
(29:24):
see more of it from from other companies too.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Yeah, yeah, it is interesting.
Speaker 6 (29:27):
I think we've talked about it every week since it
came out, Like it went from like, God, this game
is a freaking hard too, which.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
I've always experienced. I know I'm better than this.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
I've just got to keep playing. And then you get
addicted to their systems and the progression. But then there's
so much art and beauty in what they do that. Yeah,
so other than cross play, which is an actual crime,
like lock them up, it's ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Please figure that out. I'm sure they know and care.
Speaker 6 (29:51):
Yeah, But anyway, so night ran amazing and now then
so I tried to go back to set that up
because I well, I started Shadow of the Archery for
this to kind of like get my you know, the
wheels grease like sweet, I'm so ready for night Rain,
which worked, but then they introduced like these new UI
new systems. Even it's like swapping a weapon from one
slot to a different one, like that doesn't exist. You know,
(30:13):
there's no so the buttons change, right, there's no dash.
Everything is not everything enough is different that I tell
you what. If you try to play them back to
bag Boy, it messes you up and it feels it's
like suddenly it's like so slow.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
And but the Shadow of the.
Speaker 6 (30:28):
Air Tree has been pretty amazing as well. But I
am getting whooped to keep the theme of Like I
was reflecting on mylin Rage quitting it a few times
and and I actually sat on my street I was like,
I see why my island probably quit this.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
And I'm a new game plus and like have even
a few.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
Things that I can lean on, maybe like it's easy
for me to like power up, I have like all
the smithing stones that I can just power up any
weapon I get, or I mean, it's still like brutal,
but the game just beats you.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Up a lot.
Speaker 6 (30:59):
And so the point I'm at in Shadow of the
ar Tree that leave it to this until the future
is unlike I think normal from soft experiences, even though
they are really difficult. I'm always like, just keep grinding
your ruins, you know, and level up and go in
a different direction. If you're stuck, you know, it's it's
it's frustrating, but you usually have like a path shout
(31:20):
of the ur Tree.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
I'm like, do I just have.
Speaker 6 (31:22):
To like run past stuff and find these like upgrades
because I'm getting whooped. I can't find like a momentum
in the game yet. It's it's hard to get the
initial upgrades, is what it seems now, whether or not
I've missed something I don't know, or it's you're trying.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
To own to look up a map to find out.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Oh no, I always just play on my own.
Speaker 6 (31:43):
Yeah, so you know the words finding the Scattered Tree upgrades,
which is the main thing for you, I believe, right
for your strength and resilience or your power and resilience
you need to get and then you have the one
the blessing for your horse and and some other stuff.
But it seems like you have to find that stuff.
And I'm like, anyway, it's been hard to find the momentum.
(32:04):
Everything is like two or three shotting me and and
I think it'd be a rewarding in the end, but
I got a long way to go.
Speaker 8 (32:12):
M Similar to Elderring, I played a bit of Neo three.
Uh yeah, really liked it. Uh No, I'm not a
huge like Neo fan, Like I've kind of played them,
but I don't have like great memories of them.
Speaker 5 (32:29):
Watch Out, those crazies are everywhere the one. Those crazies
are everywhere, crazy crazy, Neo crazy.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
Well, I mean, Neo is quite a loved game.
Speaker 8 (32:42):
It is Souls like, but it has its own kind
of spin on the genre, I guess. And I feel
like Neo three was the first time that like really
clicked for me.
Speaker 11 (32:51):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (32:51):
Somebod in my chat said, oh, you're playing the Diablo
Souls game.
Speaker 4 (32:55):
I'm like, Diablo Souls all like.
Speaker 8 (32:57):
Because of how much loot you get and like kind
of the bill crafting with I was like, Oh, that's
like kind of an interesting way to think about it.
And once I thought about like that, I was like, ah,
you know, rather than like butting my head against a
wall when I came up against a boss or something,
I was like, no, just come back to this, Like
I just need to get my stats up a little
bit and get some more loot and get something that's
(33:17):
gonna work for me and then come back.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
And it is like an open world now, or the
demo is.
Speaker 8 (33:23):
Anyway where you might come across a boss, it's just
like absolutely whoops. You similar to Ellen Ring, and you're like, well,
I'm gonna come back to this later, and you know,
get some more gear before I do it. Maybe get
some back up because you can have these like summons
that come and help you out.
Speaker 6 (33:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (33:41):
I highly recommend on PlayStation five the demo for near three.
Most people that came to my chat was like, is
this as hard as the other NEOs? And I couldn't
really answer that because I'm not very familiar with other ones.
But I could say it feels like what Elderring did
for this Soul series. It's kind of from software. It's
(34:03):
like if you come against the roadblock, you just go
a different direction. And you can kind of scale the
difficulty by doing that, rather than getting to a roadblock.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
That you you crash out on and life right right.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
It's that level based you know. It was more like
level base where you just kind of proceed through levels.
Speaker 9 (34:17):
This is like there's there's chapters, and there were mission
levels within those chapters. Now the way that they're doing
it is within those chapters, it's like one big area
that kind of links together, and then you'll go to
another chapter and it'll be another big area. So it's
not totally open world like Rise of Ronan.
Speaker 8 (34:35):
It's one huge world like like Elder Ring, but it's
big enough that you can go in other directions and
do other things to get the gear that you need
to come back. So it's it's yeah, I don't know
exactly if you say smaller medium, but like it's open
world enough that you feel like you have some exploration
(34:56):
and freedom to bypass stuff until you can deal with.
Speaker 5 (35:00):
How long is the demo?
Speaker 3 (35:03):
I was like ten hours?
Speaker 8 (35:05):
Yeah, you can depend how long you explore, Like the
map looks small, but when you actually start running around,
like there's lots of little places you can go and explore,
Like it's it's not.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Yeah, it's not as small as like when you first
open your map. Yeah, it's a decent amount, for sure,
decent amount that definitely let you understand if you're want
to like it.
Speaker 8 (35:25):
And for me, I was like, yeah, I'm going to
like this. Hey, it's a lot of stuff going on,
Like it is. The amount of systems in Neo is insane,
and I didn't even really get to the point of
understanding them all. I was just like, I'm going to
do the Diablo thing. It just equipped the strongest gear
and then just find like what weapons I like first,
and then I'll start working out all these other systems
(35:47):
in place and how I like would actually make a
build or something.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
But it can be a bit overload for sure.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Yep, I recommend it.
Speaker 6 (35:58):
Nice doesn't ever release Dage just probably February March next year, right.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Yeah, they said early twenty twenty six, so probably March.
Speaker 6 (36:10):
Yeah, plenty of time to get our creators done. Mile
And you said baby or not.
Speaker 4 (36:15):
Jesus, if I'm still here.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
As long as you don't ask for that early early
baby date.
Speaker 7 (36:24):
I think my next release I'm pumped for is end
of next month, end of July it's it's actually grounded.
I've actually been playing the Walk Open beta, by the way,
oh Pause on That is live right now, so I've
been playing that this week with my wife. We've been
having a lot of fun with that, so U and
the servers are pretty populated. You're not waiting very long
for matches, which is great because when I did, like
(36:45):
the Creator Preview event would I would wait for like
forty five minutes in a queue to get people, which sucks.
So it's been it's been nice to be able to
just like cute match, get in there, blow up some ships,
get some loot, and have a good I'm doing that.
So if if us talking about Wildgate peaked your interest
at all, you can check that out because it's live
(37:06):
right now on Steam.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Totally freaking open.
Speaker 11 (37:08):
Beta comes out next month though, right, yeah, so full release,
that's what I was But yeah, not that well because
I'm already playing it kind of sort of you know,
but next month is grounded too, which is sort of like.
Speaker 7 (37:22):
I think Soul's game meets survival game because you've got
all these different combatants and enemies and boss fights that
have specific move sets and you have to do the
dodge Parry's and all that stuff. It's a ton of fun.
The first game was so playful Obsidian right, and they
crushed it. It's I think it's the best survival game
(37:44):
that came out in the last like five years.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
Is Grounded.
Speaker 7 (37:47):
So anyways, I'm very excited about that one. I'm looking
forward to it. And you can do all kinds of
build crafting if you want to do sword and shield
or if you like blunt weapons, you know, all the
kind of stuff that you've come to, or if you
even if you like magic. They have really fun, playful
ways of incorporating gear that's supposed to simulate, like made
stabs and stuff like that. And actually one of the
(38:09):
most fun ways to play it is actually being an
alchemist because you can all these ingredients you can find.
You can like mix up potions that are sort of
like hand grenades and that have different status effects and
stuff like that. So it's it's just a really creative
game with a whole lot of potential if you like
build crafting, and and very playful at the same time.
So I'm jazzed about that.
Speaker 8 (38:29):
Cool to hear about the combat, because I feel like
survival games that's usually the part.
Speaker 7 (38:34):
Of the Normally, usually it feels like a PS two game,
usually with survival games, but Obsidian really elevated what survival
combat can be like.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
For sure, I'm going to check out ground in one
because Grunted two differently has my interest, And especially now
you're saying that a lot of the combat stuff, because
all the other crafting things always look look pretty good too,
and I should be an expect killing spot is in
dangerous small fit.
Speaker 7 (39:02):
Yeah, a lot of people. That was the thing that
was actually some of the first pushback to Grounded one
was people were like, I thought I was playing a fun,
silly honey I shrunk the kids survival game, and then
a freaking wolf spider jumped on me and I was like,
I didn't realize I had to sit forward in my
chair and these were real gamer hours. Yeah, that's what it.
Speaker 8 (39:20):
Is.
Speaker 4 (39:20):
Like.
Speaker 8 (39:21):
The the theme of the game doesn't scream doc cells uh.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
And you would call difficulty.
Speaker 7 (39:30):
To be fair if that's what the kind of game
you're used to. I do recommend you elevate the difficulty
level right off the bat, for sure, to get that
kind of an experience. But like even the way that
they designed some of these for examples, just talk about
the wolf Spider. The wolf Spider even has like faints,
like you have to really memorize the move patterns. And
they'll actually like fake attacks to bait out responses from you,
(39:50):
like a you know, bait out a block, and then
they'll come in with a quick poisonous strike on the
opposite side. Suddenly you're bleeding HP. Yeah, they take it
real seriously, and I think they just really elevated what
I've come to expect from survival games.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
That's cool, that's cool. I'm looking forward to it too.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Good to hear.
Speaker 4 (40:10):
Who do you want to go through? You want to
do a run for of some of the games and
we can make.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yea yeah, yeah I hit it.
Speaker 8 (40:19):
Well, look I would just I would just I would
just go through my tabs and we can we can
talk guys.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
We go Mortal Shell.
Speaker 9 (40:27):
Yeah, maybe one of the best trailers this weekend.
Speaker 4 (40:33):
Yeah, there is really good to feel for it.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
But it was like it is heavy.
Speaker 12 (40:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (40:42):
So if this looks good to you, I go the website.
You can start with the.
Speaker 6 (40:47):
Right now if I caught it correctly to be if
you remember Moral show like it's pretty small team, very
indie dark souls but pretty you know, it got pretty
good reception, but it was small. But from what I
can tell, this is a major engine up and like
there's a lot more going on now, so it's not
there's a lot more people on the.
Speaker 7 (41:04):
Team trailer beating the guy with his own tumb.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Yeah, this guy looks like an iron made album cover,
come to Like that's.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
A great way to put it.
Speaker 6 (41:18):
But yeah, like just to separate it from like it's
not just maybe a small sequel, I don't think from
you know, what was already a small thing, so I
think it's worth a look.
Speaker 9 (41:27):
It was a really tiny team for the first one,
and then for the second one they've definitely got a
lot more people. And right away I was like, this
looks like it's Mortal Shell because it's got the same
thing going on where the whole idea with Mortal.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Shell is that you you have.
Speaker 9 (41:42):
Shells which are your classes, but you with you are
like the thing inside of the shells.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
So it was a really really cool idea.
Speaker 9 (41:50):
I didn't love the boss design or the level design
and Mortal Shell one, so seeing this, I was like,
it looks like Mortal Shell, but like way different, like
way better so I'm definitely excited to see what number
two is like because they had some really cool ladias.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
Yeah it looks sick. Yeah, twenty six.
Speaker 8 (42:12):
Yeap Chronicles Medievil. This is the one narrated by It
wasn't Tom Hardy. It's h don't really know. We just
have like a cinematic trailer. Kind of looks a little
bit like Bannifall. I don't know if anyone's paid Batifall.
There's like a real time strategy part of the game,
(42:33):
but there's also a part where you like on the battlefields,
like participating in you hand to hand.
Speaker 5 (42:39):
Combat battles, like huge battles.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (42:43):
This I always love medieval battles, love medieval stuff. But
this is kind of the only gameplay you see and
then it cuts away. So it's called Chronicles Medieval.
Speaker 5 (42:54):
Has also crushed on disturbing a little bit.
Speaker 8 (42:59):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
That's you play together. Code Vein two.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
Yeah, I enjoyed Code Vein one. This trailer was, uh
so I was looking at it and I was like, hmm,
looks like Code Vein.
Speaker 9 (43:14):
When they especially when they put the mask on and
stuff and there's certain things that happen. I'm like it
looks like Code Vein, but the art style is entirely different.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
So I was really confused.
Speaker 9 (43:23):
But I think if you look at the gameplay that happens,
it looks more akin to Code Vein one.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
Art style, but the actual like.
Speaker 9 (43:33):
Cut scenes, Yeah, the cinematics that they're doing looks really different.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
So I was confused, But I enjoyed Code Vein one.
It's not perfect.
Speaker 9 (43:43):
It's not a perfect game, but it had again, some
really cool systems in it, and I really liked it.
Speaker 8 (43:49):
Yeah, I never played Codvein and so I wasn't familiar
with this franchise. So so is the is the elevated
page like anime's dots all?
Speaker 3 (43:57):
Is that kind of like that was what Code Vein
was for sure. Yeah, was like its anime souls and
it was kind of the first one that you would
attach that name to. But they have some really cool systems.
Speaker 9 (44:06):
Where you can, like you can learn skills so that
you can use them permanently. So if you select a class,
after you use that class for a certain amount of time,
you can use those skills on any class. So it
ends up being a really cool mixture that you can
make with your characters.
Speaker 3 (44:23):
Oh yeah, I think I.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
Played the Devil.
Speaker 6 (44:26):
Is that the one with the really cool creative character
or yes, it was so like the gradient hair and
every day.
Speaker 3 (44:33):
Yeah, their creative character was crazy.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
It's pretty dope.
Speaker 3 (44:36):
Yeah, it was awesome.
Speaker 8 (44:39):
Game of Thrones premium real time strategy, no gameplay footage,
just cinematic trila.
Speaker 4 (44:47):
Are we still into Game of Thrones?
Speaker 5 (44:49):
No, I was.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
I was very impressed.
Speaker 9 (44:53):
How good he looks like John Snow, that's what I
was impressed.
Speaker 3 (44:57):
Yes, exactly, always looks exactly.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
They're making a new series at first, That's which I
think is.
Speaker 5 (45:05):
A pretty good compliment on the graphics.
Speaker 6 (45:08):
Yeah, yeah, I mean it's a marketing cut scene. I
mean it's an RTS, right, so it's gonna be.
Speaker 4 (45:13):
Well, it says everybody's real strategy game coming into pays
twenty twenty six. Uh free for all multiplayer.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
Uh oh so well there would be a bit will
you buy it if you want to play a single
player campaign, and it's just the multiplayer is free.
Speaker 8 (45:32):
This is all I know is from what I said,
and try the cinematic is it seems to be a
RTS in the Game of Threns universe.
Speaker 3 (45:39):
I do like that there's another RTS being made. Oh sorry,
you don't get many of them.
Speaker 8 (45:45):
Conker the Seven Kingdom solo or in a freight for
a multiplayer, so it's probably a Campaignts campaign alongside of it,
I would imagine.
Speaker 2 (45:53):
I thought it was only free.
Speaker 1 (45:54):
Yeah, if it's only free to play, I'm with fram
no thinking because you know it's gonna be ha ship.
Speaker 4 (46:00):
That Toomic Heart too caught a lot of attention.
Speaker 8 (46:06):
I know the first one was like well received but
maybe blow up huge.
Speaker 3 (46:11):
But like mixed received.
Speaker 9 (46:13):
I feel like it was like, it looks really good,
but like it's kind of Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:17):
I also when the Ukraine War started and wasn't it
Russia developed?
Speaker 5 (46:22):
So people stand off is about that? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (46:27):
M hm uh, look, I'm interested. I never played Atomic Heart.
The visuals always look good. It's a very interesting looking game,
and Munfish developer looks like they're putting out a bunch
of stuff.
Speaker 4 (46:40):
We've got another another announcement too, but looks good.
Speaker 8 (46:43):
I wouldn't mind maybe playing Atomic Heart offstream to see
what I think, you know, without people yapping in your
ears and make up my own mind for it.
Speaker 4 (46:51):
But sure.
Speaker 8 (46:54):
It gives BioShock infinite vibes. Yeah, and this also by
the same developer. This is what I got a lot
of people's attention, including the Dea sy community which is
called The Cube, which.
Speaker 4 (47:11):
Was described as an MMO RPG, but.
Speaker 8 (47:18):
Kind of Originally I thought it was a Battle Royale
because it takes place on a cube that's changing. I
was like, oh, this is going to be like the Arena.
It's gonna be a first person shoot a extract probably
another attraction game to be honest, on this cube. But
then it was described as an MMO RPG. So in
in the Atomic Heart universe, I believe made by developeder
(47:39):
Mundfish as well, so.
Speaker 4 (47:43):
Has my interest.
Speaker 3 (47:45):
There's a lot of crutch and a lot of.
Speaker 7 (47:49):
Like, there's just like the cr you ass me interest
as interest.
Speaker 9 (47:57):
Interesting, Yeah, it's another I can only assume that there,
you know, an audience would be there from Destiny because
it is like MMO first person shooters.
Speaker 3 (48:06):
So we'll see, we'll see.
Speaker 8 (48:09):
What There is a couple of these MMO first person
shooters coming out as well. There's one on next Fest
which I've been looking into called I don't know if
it's called Pioneer. It's like Pioneer, but one LESSI Pioneer
p I p I O and yeah, and it's really
not ready for beta and we can talk about next
Fest stuff yet, but super interesting looking game. It's a
(48:32):
lot of bugs and I had multiple crashes during the tutorial,
but once again described as like an MMO shooter, which
is like I think.
Speaker 4 (48:39):
About it, was like, well it's my I like destiny.
Speaker 8 (48:41):
Yeah, I kind of like MMOs, but I want them
to be shooters or have a different combat system. So
these are definitely up there for me the Cube to
see how that hands out. UHS Corono Odyssey. Yeah, next
week on the twin you can sign up by wish listing.
Speaker 4 (49:02):
I think on Steam. Interesting looking mmo because of the
combat system looks a lot more real time than other
like tab targeting systems in MMOs, which is always like
one of the things I don't like about MMOs. So
kind of check it out.
Speaker 8 (49:18):
There should be a bunch of people playing this next week,
I would imagine on stream.
Speaker 4 (49:22):
I'll try to get in. If you've got to contact
let me know, wouldn't.
Speaker 9 (49:26):
I've watched some of the videos from the developers and
their thing is they are making an MMO, but they
wanted to make it around small teams instead of having
these like you know, one hundred man battles, they could
make like the bosses and the combat feel a bit
tighter and rewarding.
Speaker 3 (49:42):
So that's definitely interesting to me. Combat does logan, Yeah, I.
Speaker 8 (49:47):
Mean that that's you know, kind of the formula of
desk and your rallies MMO light. But you still do
things in teams of three or four or you know,
six in terms of a raid, so you can have
tight combat and not have like things just lagging out
of the place.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (50:04):
Yeah, So there is actually a seventeen minute gameplay reveal
on Igen today that shows like Raids Dungeons World Bosses.
Reception has been pretty good to it, so probably give
that a look and look out next week for people
to start playing the playtest.
Speaker 4 (50:25):
June twentieth, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:27):
June twentieth. Oh, it's all common Avery, scary.
Speaker 4 (50:30):
Everything's coming out Mafia Old Country. You guys ever played
Mafia Mafia? I never played Mafia Y back in the day,
and everybody, what do you expect from Mafia? Like, I
haven't the.
Speaker 6 (50:41):
Recent ones, but I mean it has a GTA esque
but smaller scope, you know, just focused on that mob story.
But yeah, because I haven't really played it recently. I
can't speak to how they've evolved it.
Speaker 7 (50:53):
But.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
I would say that I would think that folks would
be looking forward to it.
Speaker 4 (50:58):
Yeah, well, I've never played Maffia either.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
I haven't either got Sicilian.
Speaker 4 (51:05):
So we're gonna slam through that game.
Speaker 5 (51:08):
That's like life, right, I live it.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
I don't need to play it something like that.
Speaker 8 (51:17):
Mecha Breke this is probably the one that's coming soon,
and we.
Speaker 4 (51:23):
Have a relay dive for Mecha Break. Well, gad.
Speaker 8 (51:26):
They shut off some of the single play stuff too,
because I had talked about that. I wasn't really with
the single player aspects.
Speaker 9 (51:33):
So Mecha Break had like a demo and an alpha
and stuff.
Speaker 3 (51:37):
Where you could only play PvP.
Speaker 9 (51:40):
So this was like kind of a big arena shooter
where your heroes are the Max.
Speaker 3 (51:46):
So you could have Flying Max, you have Turret Max.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
Like.
Speaker 9 (51:48):
The Max were actually really really cool. They were well made.
But at the beginning you would have you had like
a TV section where you fought a boss and we're like, huh.
Speaker 3 (51:59):
That's weird for a PvP game.
Speaker 9 (52:02):
And we found out that they're making there's going to
be PvP, just pure PvP. There's going to be PvP
VE and then there's also going to be like raid
Boss like pure PvE that you play with other players.
Speaker 12 (52:13):
So cool.
Speaker 3 (52:15):
I'm I really liked I liked mech a Break. Yeah,
we had a ton of fun playing. They're really cool.
Speaker 9 (52:23):
Yeah, like there they're paint. There they're outside, but you
can also customize the inside. Not as crazy as Armor Core,
but kind of close if you think about what.
Speaker 3 (52:37):
You can do with Armor Core.
Speaker 4 (52:39):
I do believe there was a ship ton of stats
Starry that I was like a lot of any of
these stats main and how influential they are in a
baby big game, because that was kind of the grind components.
You do matches and you you'll get.
Speaker 8 (52:53):
You know, uh a two P three seven call for
the uh for the tar Okay, what is that doing?
It cools down FP by three percent. You're like, okay,
well maybe that would be good.
Speaker 9 (53:06):
I think, yeah, that's how would always start. You're like, oh,
that sounds like a thing I like to do.
Speaker 3 (53:11):
I want to do that faster. You're like, sure it
might be good.
Speaker 9 (53:14):
Sure, yeah, we should play make a Break when it
comes out, though, all of us. We should get on
a team and blast some fools.
Speaker 5 (53:24):
Meclori or two is getting remastered too, isn't it.
Speaker 7 (53:27):
That's so cool.
Speaker 3 (53:28):
I think it is so good.
Speaker 5 (53:31):
It is good.
Speaker 7 (53:32):
That was back when you bought games in these giant
boxes that were bigger than our textbooks at school.
Speaker 5 (53:37):
Yeah, they came with like cloth maps of the world. Yeah, inside.
Speaker 4 (53:44):
This is infinitesimals.
Speaker 9 (53:48):
We saw this trailer and then like the logo popped
up after and I was like, I cannot read that.
Speaker 4 (53:54):
I have no idea. It was cool though. I thought
this was grounded and I was like, oh, rounded.
Speaker 8 (54:02):
But then and I literally wrote bugs life in my
notes for games. I had to go back and find
what it was called just looks a like similar concepts
shrunk down, but you're finding robots and bugs or you
are a bug.
Speaker 4 (54:17):
I guess, like a roboto logically look at that.
Speaker 3 (54:23):
I was looking at it.
Speaker 9 (54:23):
I was like, because it was your whole screen, and
I'm like, I.
Speaker 7 (54:28):
Don't know, Like that's too many letters close together.
Speaker 8 (54:32):
In deals, we got some ones that are like Wo
tang and Wu change.
Speaker 4 (54:41):
We got Woo.
Speaker 9 (54:42):
Chang fallen feathers. Yeah, that's how its release date for
a little bit that's coming out in July. It's going
to be a fifty dollars game July twenty third, and
they are. They are wearing the fact that their souls
like on their sleeve. You know a lot of devs
now they're like, oh, we're like a tactical, finishing, difficult
(55:03):
action RPGs. But they don't want to just say souls
like where it's souls like yeah, They just say it yeah,
because then you know what you're getting into. You like,
what did you set out to make? Because souls like Okay,
thank you. But this one looks cool. Lots of different
powers going on. It's set in the Land of Shoe
during the dark and tumultuous Late Ming dynasty.
Speaker 3 (55:24):
This is in China. It's by a Chinese studio, and.
Speaker 9 (55:27):
It just looks like some some cool powers that you
can use. I don't fully know if the combat is
going to be super slick yet. I definitely saw some
questionable things earlier. But it looks fun late it does.
It looks nice.
Speaker 8 (55:43):
Yeah, gotta reminds you Ofong, So we'll say it's like
I guess adding the souls like to it, yeah, rather
than just kind of boss boss rushy. This one's for Bria.
Speaker 9 (55:56):
I said in there, I was in the chat and
I was like, brior Wu Tang and he's like talking about, well, there's.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
A Woo Tang game. Come on now it's Wang.
Speaker 5 (56:08):
Once I figured that out, I'm pretty excited now.
Speaker 3 (56:12):
So this is Tang Rise of the Deceiver.
Speaker 9 (56:15):
It's a co op action RPG with anime style fighting
and Afro surrealist aesthetic, so players face increasingly challenged battle
chambers to the tune of reimagined Wu Tang Clang tracks
and you can out your fighter.
Speaker 7 (56:33):
Yeah, it does kind of have that vibe visually.
Speaker 4 (56:36):
Yeah, I'm excited.
Speaker 5 (56:37):
A little bit.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
Like I don't know, I've Russia is a little too
bright and like too happy and this is just a
little darker and it's me a little closer to home.
Speaker 3 (56:49):
It's got Tang.
Speaker 9 (56:50):
You have Wu Tang tracks in the game, which is
going to be a nightmare of stream.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
But it's fine. Yes, I just won't put it on
YouTube and just have it on twitch.
Speaker 5 (57:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (57:00):
Yeah, uh resonant evil.
Speaker 3 (57:06):
Oh god goodness, dude. So this at the Game Fest.
Speaker 9 (57:10):
If you guys weren't watching live, they they cut to like,
we've got an announcement from a long withstanding franchise and
they're talking to like the Resident Evil director, and he says,
we just need a little bit more time, but we'll
talk to you when we can. And then like twenty
minutes later, they showed this trailer, so we're like, oh,
I guess.
Speaker 7 (57:31):
That's now okay, you got baited.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
I got the guy he baited everybody.
Speaker 9 (57:35):
I was like, oh, really, that's it a bit weird,
But this is called Resident Evil Requiem.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
It's Resident Evil nine.
Speaker 9 (57:42):
It's coming out February twenty seventh, so it already has
a release date.
Speaker 3 (57:46):
And they actually did show.
Speaker 9 (57:48):
Some people at Summer Game Fest, uh gameplay of this game,
so people were able to see. Yeah, so the thing
that they're doing with this one is you're gonna be
able to switch between first person and third person whenever
you want, pretty much so. And they said that the
normally when you can do that, the third person animations
tend to not be so good, but they said that
(58:10):
it's it looks like it's made to be played either way.
So that was pretty cool to see.
Speaker 1 (58:16):
Very a lot of people didn't dig on the first
person switches seven and.
Speaker 3 (58:20):
Eight, right, Yeah, it was it was kind of a
mixed bag.
Speaker 2 (58:24):
I think I really liked seven I love.
Speaker 3 (58:26):
Yeah, seven was great.
Speaker 6 (58:27):
In fact, as you mentioned it, I was like, that's right,
that was Was it entirely first person?
Speaker 5 (58:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (58:35):
I played entirely in VR, and.
Speaker 2 (58:38):
Oh yeah, that's right.
Speaker 6 (58:42):
It's great definitely as like fans, you know, Resident Evil
fans being split on of course a perspective change, and
either said that doesn't surprise me at all, but that
game's a banger. Was surprisingly good and like it was
really good too.
Speaker 5 (58:56):
I liked it a lot.
Speaker 3 (58:57):
Yeah, you are going to be playing as Grace ashcroftwitching.
Speaker 5 (59:04):
We're not going back to the do you can regenerate
his arm?
Speaker 3 (59:08):
No, you're not going to be him. You're going back
to Raccoon City baby.
Speaker 9 (59:13):
Oh yeah yeah, you're returning to Raccoon City to investigate
what's going on. And you're playing as Grace Ashcroft, which
it was her mom that was in a previous uh
Resident Evil and not super up to date with Resident
Evil lore, but Alyssa Ashcroft is her mom and she
(59:35):
was a part of a previous.
Speaker 3 (59:36):
Resident Evil game.
Speaker 5 (59:38):
Was she a bad gay?
Speaker 8 (59:40):
No?
Speaker 3 (59:40):
I think she died.
Speaker 5 (59:41):
Oh that's sad for her.
Speaker 9 (59:43):
So like we know that your mom died, but we
need you to go back to the spot where she
died to see what's going on.
Speaker 2 (59:51):
Yeah, that's what it was.
Speaker 4 (59:53):
Yeah, okay, I.
Speaker 9 (59:54):
Mean my impression impressions of it have been really good
so far.
Speaker 5 (59:59):
So it sucks a was scarier. It looks scary, right, yeah,
I mean that was pretty scary.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Well, the beginning was oh seven was No.
Speaker 6 (01:00:09):
Seven was absolutely it was just like freak scary, like
you know, like just buy you like deeprout there's no
way out scary, which, yeah, to live exactly.
Speaker 9 (01:00:24):
It had So Crawser said that Mom was in Outbreak
Resident Evil Outbreak and she technically survived that incident but
died right before the start of nine.
Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
Oh there you go.
Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
Break like one of the shooting games, like one of
the weird side story remember.
Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
Because I played, so I don't remember the gameplay.
Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
I just don't remember. It's a survival game still, so
survival horror game.
Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
It was back in two thousand and two or.
Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
Three, two thousand and four for North America.
Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Yeah, on the CUSP there.
Speaker 9 (01:01:00):
It depicts a series of episodic storylines in Raccoon City.
So you get eight characters with unique abilities and you
get to play their story.
Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
Since that one, it was.
Speaker 5 (01:01:09):
An online game.
Speaker 6 (01:01:12):
It had that component to it. I'm trying to remember,
like I definitely played some of it. But god, that
is so long. I mean it's over a long time ago.
Speaker 5 (01:01:21):
God damn it. You have to say something so mean.
Speaker 9 (01:01:24):
Now, I didn't say anything ago any one years.
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
Just saying we only remember the bangers. This one I
don't think was a banger.
Speaker 5 (01:01:35):
I don't think any of the side story ones have
been bangers.
Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
Right.
Speaker 5 (01:01:38):
If it doesn't have a number, has it been a
good game?
Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
That was super excited?
Speaker 4 (01:01:48):
That was? That was unless I missed anyone you wanted
to talk about.
Speaker 8 (01:01:52):
I mean I didn't have everything butt.
Speaker 4 (01:01:55):
The Xbox as well.
Speaker 9 (01:01:57):
Yeah, I'll pick out the main ones from there. The
main one for me was definitely Stranger than Heaven.
Speaker 3 (01:02:04):
This is the new Yeah, Aha, this one's exciting.
Speaker 4 (01:02:08):
I did have that. I forgot to put it up.
Speaker 9 (01:02:11):
This is from the developers behind Yakuza Games. Yeah, and
it's looking it's looking real good.
Speaker 6 (01:02:22):
The forties or something, right, it's like forties Japan or
I don't know, forties Japan.
Speaker 5 (01:02:26):
Yeah, is it like right before World War Two or no?
Speaker 4 (01:02:29):
That would be like influenced by like Western, like forties
Western Japan.
Speaker 9 (01:02:34):
So the thing is that the first trailer that we
saw was in nineteen fifteen, and then this one was
nineteen forty three, so it suggests that there's going to
be like some old kind of history going on. And
even you're about to see if you're watching the video
of the podcast that.
Speaker 3 (01:02:49):
This guy's eyes and the kind of light up, You're like, no,
it doesn't look totally.
Speaker 9 (01:02:54):
Human, so maybe he's some kind of time traveler guy.
But yeah, this is a this is a new ip
for them, so it's it's really exciting.
Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
I'm exciting.
Speaker 4 (01:03:04):
Yeah, that's also on my list. What's on my list today?
Speaker 9 (01:03:09):
It's an action adventure game by some devs that really
know what they're doing. Yeah, very excited about that.
Speaker 7 (01:03:19):
That's kind of that's kind of giving me like a
windbreaker Season two vibes just watching the trailer alone.
Speaker 5 (01:03:26):
Is that.
Speaker 7 (01:03:28):
Yeah, that's sort of like the Artsy District, you know,
brawls kind of a vibe.
Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
Yeah, Yeah, I enjoyed it. It's gonna be cool.
Speaker 4 (01:03:38):
Anything else.
Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
Summer game, first, Silent Hill f they did?
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Was it place that was in PlayStation?
Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
They are talked about it, We talked about it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
Yeah, I was thinking about Romeo is a dead Man
or whatever to I think that was Yeah, that was also.
Speaker 3 (01:03:57):
Yeah, we talked about that. They did Silent Hill f to.
I haven't watched it yet. I'm gonna watch it tomorrow.
Speaker 9 (01:04:02):
But they did show some gameplay, some new gameplay and
stuff today.
Speaker 6 (01:04:07):
So yeah, and it looks like they confirmed all but
confirmed Bluebirds doing Silent He'll remakes will one.
Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
Yes, Silent Hill one remake from Bluebird is also coming.
Speaker 4 (01:04:19):
Yeah, m hmm.
Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
That's good news for Silent Hill fans. Be eaten.
Speaker 9 (01:04:22):
Well, yeah, I think that was it from really well,
it's like the big things.
Speaker 4 (01:04:29):
Yeah, there was some other like interesting looking games that
we didn't come about. I mean that's pretty good. Chuk.
Speaker 8 (01:04:35):
There was a lot, and I was like, I'm kind
of interested in this, gonna follow this along side Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
Actually wait, we didn't mention the new any moush trailer.
Did we was that summer game?
Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
It wasn't it?
Speaker 6 (01:04:46):
Yes, that banging is it looks incredible. This was like
a lot of gameplay that's what made it. I was like,
this looks really good. So yeah, Mosha Way of the Sword.
So I would just go watch that trow if you haven't.
It's like looking incredible.
Speaker 3 (01:05:03):
It does look incredible. I'm really excited for it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
Is that early next year as well?
Speaker 5 (01:05:09):
Yep, early next year.
Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
Early next year is already already packed.
Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
I don't know if they.
Speaker 4 (01:05:17):
Long service lav.
Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
I know it's racing. I don't know if it's early
yet though, but it wouldn't surprise me.
Speaker 5 (01:05:24):
Oh man, look at this ogre that looks amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
Yeah, it looks so cool, right, yeah, yes, it already
came out.
Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
People are speculating.
Speaker 9 (01:05:41):
I'll do a quick update about Pragmata, which is Capcom's
new I P coming out next year. Apparently people were
actually able to watch it and play it, and everyone
who's played it and watched it as.
Speaker 3 (01:05:54):
Like, crap, I think this is really good.
Speaker 5 (01:05:57):
Good.
Speaker 9 (01:05:58):
So it's a third person like action adventure game, but
they're doing a thing where you have to hack robots
or hack things, and there's like minigames kind of in
the hacking whilst you're also managing the third person action
shooting part of the game, So you're kind of doing
(01:06:19):
two things, which is kind of cool. I'm excited to
see how that feels, because it's hard to really picture
it when people are talking about it, but everyone is like,
this is super fresh. This is a really fresh take
on like a third person action game. So you're kind
of doing yeah, you're doing like hacking hacking stuff while
also managing shooting and dodging and all that.
Speaker 5 (01:06:41):
Is like the Little Sister game.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Okay, yeah, mm hmm yep, yep.
Speaker 4 (01:06:52):
Xbox stuff happened to say.
Speaker 7 (01:06:54):
We also got like our first impressions on Ninjagai and
four this week.
Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
Too, didn't we We did?
Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
Uh huh.
Speaker 7 (01:07:01):
I was watching some of the gameplay, which is next showcase.
Speaker 9 (01:07:05):
Yeah, they had like their new trailer and then they
also like showed it to some people and let people
play it in post games of.
Speaker 7 (01:07:11):
It, Yeah, which is run. I wasn't expecting that obviously,
So that was what is that? October? It's octob It's
another October release, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:19):
It's October? Yeah, it's coming out this year. We're getting
two Ninja Guiden games this year.
Speaker 7 (01:07:23):
I pretty jazzed about it.
Speaker 5 (01:07:25):
Rage Bounds coming out July thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
First, Rage Bound is soon.
Speaker 9 (01:07:28):
There's also there's currently a demo for a Ninja Guiden
rage Bound on Steam next fest, so if you want
to check it out, I'm hearing nothing but phenomenal things,
which I'm not surprised about because it's by the blasphemous steps.
Speaker 5 (01:07:39):
Yeah, which is amazing game.
Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
Get that game coming out so many there's so many
Ninja games.
Speaker 7 (01:07:46):
Yeah, you're let your inner Ninja out man.
Speaker 5 (01:07:48):
Yeah, it's like the eighties are back, That's.
Speaker 7 (01:07:51):
Right, it is. Yeah, right, I'm looking at Ninja like
you're playing the Ninja Guid and stuff right now. I
just love the of that game. And that's one of
the things that actually the developers talked about was like
we didn't want to just do another Souls, Like we
wanted to sort of escalate the pace and make you
feel like this, you know, bloody killing machine.
Speaker 6 (01:08:14):
Yeah, and like that is Ninja Guiden, you know, so
it would be as much as I wouldn't mind a
spin off Ninja Guiden that does that, which is almost
like neo, right, but basically yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:08:25):
Yeah, especially three, when you're playing as the Ninja, it's.
Speaker 6 (01:08:30):
Literally that Ninja trademark is it is so chaotic and
insane that the camera can't keep up, so you.
Speaker 5 (01:08:38):
Know, it's like motorcycle.
Speaker 7 (01:08:41):
Yeah, being in the Roman Colisseum surrounded by freaking werewolves.
Ye remember that boss fightery, you fight the were wolf,
then you feel so hardcore and you finally put him down,
and then you pick up the side and all the
stands get empty. Everyone sort of floods the court and
it's like, okay, I'm gonna fight at freaking five hunter werewall.
Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
School and you're all doing it while you're.
Speaker 12 (01:09:06):
Hyped.
Speaker 7 (01:09:07):
It's like peeking Ninja Gudden.
Speaker 4 (01:09:09):
Yeah, it's good. Out of Worlds too was also at
Pikey Box.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Yeah, this was a game that so out of world won.
I did really enjoy Out of Worlds two.
Speaker 9 (01:09:22):
I was like, yeah, I'll probably play it, but then
they following the Xbox showcase, they did like a deep
dive into it, which I haven't fully watched yet, but
I've heard that a lot of people were like, I
wasn't really going to play it, but after that deep dive,
it's like one of my most ANTISIPTA games.
Speaker 5 (01:09:36):
And then I heard it was I just like, yeah,
maybe not anymore.
Speaker 8 (01:09:40):
I saw a short on like some of the perks
you can get, and I was like, okay, maybe.
Speaker 4 (01:09:46):
I mean there was one.
Speaker 8 (01:09:49):
There was one perk that allows you to creep like fast,
like crouch walk faster, but every time you stand up
your knees pop really loud and everyone and then everyone's like,
I feel I feel truly represented in.
Speaker 4 (01:10:08):
That guy's back hurts. I'm in And then uh, there
was another one.
Speaker 8 (01:10:14):
What's the I think it was the name of the
condition when you feel like compulsion is steal stuff. But
basically if you stole items, you can sell them for Yeah,
so like it was kleptomatic or whatever as the perkin
naim and you could steal items and sell them for
more if you have this perk on. However, when you
were just looking at things, you would have a chance
(01:10:37):
of automatically stealing them without you're pressing a button. So
the clip of a guy going into the store and
like trying to browse the weapons, he just joints.
Speaker 4 (01:10:48):
Stand andyone's like, hey, put that back, sorry, that's really fun.
Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
The first one was pretty fun.
Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
It was I felt like the best stuff was like
right at the beginning, though, and the longer you went
with that game, it kind of really petered out, like
they were trying to add the length of that.
Speaker 5 (01:11:07):
Game a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
But with a little more time and a little more money,
hopefully this one will be really great.
Speaker 4 (01:11:15):
Yeah they are.
Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
They make fun things there.
Speaker 4 (01:11:23):
You guys excited for a new cold of duty.
Speaker 9 (01:11:28):
So a lot of people liked this trailer, but I
think the problem is that they were like, and one
more thing, and they announced a thing that comes every year.
Speaker 3 (01:11:39):
It's inevitable, it's always here.
Speaker 9 (01:11:41):
It's like saying, and one more thing, NBA two K's back,
it's coming down next year.
Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
It's it is true that it's not.
Speaker 6 (01:11:51):
You're like, well, I know it's coming, but you never
know for sure if it's like the next black Ops
or if it's going to I mean, usually it's another
modern warfare black outs these days, but it's the I mean,
we got that confirmation at least, but it looks sick.
Speaker 4 (01:12:05):
I mean the didn't look like a trial left.
Speaker 7 (01:12:10):
Isn't that the guy from Heroes looks like him?
Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
Yeah? I I don't know. Did you guys feel it
all to that comment?
Speaker 6 (01:12:18):
When I was watching it, I was like, this feels
like the Xbox Influence where they were like, we know
you have the way you do stuff, but we want an.
Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
Absolutely sick trailer like this. It felt like it. I
don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:12:30):
I feel like normally the activision revealed didn't go this way,
and this was more like the new synergy of Xbox.
Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
But I don't know, maybe it was just the new style.
Speaker 6 (01:12:40):
Maybe I feel like we normally don't get to reveal
quite in this tone.
Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
But yeah, yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
You know, it's always like an aerosmith. I'm probably wrong.
I'm just remembering that.
Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
No, it's definitely you know, yeah, it's very different.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
So I'm excited on that front.
Speaker 6 (01:12:57):
I mean, the campaign stuff is hit or missed, depending
but overall some really banging campaigns despite the fact that
we get so many. So it is a good thing,
even though you're like, wow, I know it's coming.
Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
Look, it's just talking about it.
Speaker 4 (01:13:14):
Uh, talking about clockwork Revolution.
Speaker 2 (01:13:17):
Thank you?
Speaker 9 (01:13:17):
One of the big ones. Yeah, this is a big
one for people in exile.
Speaker 7 (01:13:22):
Love that steampunk vibe.
Speaker 4 (01:13:25):
Yeah, I don't know much here apart from that, I
can read it.
Speaker 9 (01:13:28):
I can read the thing on on Steam for it.
So it's a time bending steampunk first person RPG. After
stumbling across an incredible invention that allows you to travel
into the past, you discover the city you call home
has been carefully crafted through the alteration of historical events.
By traveling back to key moments, your interactions and choices
(01:13:50):
will have butterfly effect on the deep narrative driven world
and characters of Avalon. So a big thing of this
game is that you know, you make a decision and
then you can see what happens, and then you can
go back in time and make it the different decision
and see how it changes the world, which is really cool.
Speaker 4 (01:14:07):
It's got in built scum saving.
Speaker 12 (01:14:10):
Yeah, it's the vibes are really cool obviously, Like the
visuals of it look really cool.
Speaker 4 (01:14:22):
Yeah, that's a cool idea.
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
Yeah, and it's.
Speaker 6 (01:14:27):
Yeah, and it's it's similar to Obsidy in this sense
of like I forget when Microsoft if they became part
of it or whatever, but in Exiles, just like they've
been around forever, dude, like Wasteland and Bard's Tail and
some other Well, yeah, they're just really talented and so
it's been I think it's been cooking for a while.
(01:14:49):
And so I've just been excited on that front in
the same way like when I heard about a vowed,
I was just like, dude, it's Obsidian. They did fall
out before, right, and and so you get excited on
their front. So they have all that DNA is part
of it that I at least on that front.
Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
I would keep an eye on that one.
Speaker 6 (01:15:05):
It could be really really neat if you like these
types of games.
Speaker 4 (01:15:07):
Yep.
Speaker 9 (01:15:11):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:15:11):
We've got some other, I guess honorable mentions if you
if you want to talk about them, just shout out
Super mein Boy three D.
Speaker 3 (01:15:18):
This is a new Super Me Boy which has not
happened for quite a long time.
Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:15:23):
I never played the first one, but it just looks
like a good platform, a rot like a HOD platform is.
Speaker 5 (01:15:27):
Yeah, it was what it is. Fun. It was hard,
but it was really fun.
Speaker 6 (01:15:33):
Do we know if it's coming to switch to as well?
It's one of those games that'd be like, this would
be a good switch to game.
Speaker 8 (01:15:38):
At the moment, it just says early twenty twenty six
Xbox Series Piece five and PC.
Speaker 4 (01:15:44):
Oh this game, I agree, ridiculous, it would be nice.
Speaker 6 (01:15:47):
Well, switch To could definitely handle this one, it looks like.
So that's the good news.
Speaker 9 (01:15:52):
We already talked about Grounded Gear, Baste of Reincarnation.
Speaker 3 (01:15:57):
Load that one up. That's up for again. Make one.
Speaker 5 (01:16:00):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (01:16:01):
This is by the people who make pomon.
Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
I remember that teaser.
Speaker 6 (01:16:08):
Once that finally came out, I was like, I remember
there was some like concept art teaser like years ago,
and we're like, this is Pokemon game.
Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
Freak is doing a serious.
Speaker 5 (01:16:16):
This game looks technically good. That's weird.
Speaker 3 (01:16:23):
It's uh so this one.
Speaker 9 (01:16:25):
They describe it as, so you're in post apocalyptic Japan.
You have your your like dog friend, and there's you,
and it is a action RPG built around demanding technical combat.
Speaker 1 (01:16:40):
Okay those are code words.
Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
Yeah, and like it looks cool.
Speaker 9 (01:16:48):
And they've got they're fighting like robots, they're fighting like
more natural based things or like corrupted nature things.
Speaker 3 (01:16:54):
There's a lot of really cool stuff in that show.
Speaker 5 (01:16:57):
It's like sick.
Speaker 4 (01:16:58):
I like this, Yeah, it looks cool.
Speaker 5 (01:17:00):
This is cover from the Pokemon guys.
Speaker 6 (01:17:02):
Yeah, this guy is largely all they've done is Pokemon,
and I recall, I mean maybe mixing things up.
Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
I didn't check this at all.
Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
You've done some like mobile games well that, but I.
Speaker 6 (01:17:15):
Was like, I remember when this art was shown, the
CEO said something to the effect of, like we're trying
to do new stuff with small teams and find like
sort of to the effect of trying new things and
expand and not effectively you know, just be on Pokemon
and you know, to see is a big departure from
me what you would expect from games.
Speaker 7 (01:17:32):
So do you think it's one of the things. It's like,
please nintend to let us be free. We want to
make it. No, you will make Pokemon.
Speaker 5 (01:17:38):
I don't know, Man, they're making so much money from that.
Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
Like, yeah, I have to again there was they run
pretty lean.
Speaker 7 (01:17:47):
I think at some point, creative people want the freedom
to be creative. Yeah, people, people who build things want
the freedom to be the kid in their room with
a box of Legos?
Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
Are there creative people make it Pokemon? It doesn't appear
so from the outside.
Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
The definitely are.
Speaker 9 (01:18:04):
And I'm hoping that this is the case of like
we've made eight gooddrillion dollars with Pokemon. Sure you can
have a small team to make this, like saying you
want to try and do right.
Speaker 5 (01:18:15):
I mean they've made twenty in the same game, and
they look like worse as they go.
Speaker 7 (01:18:22):
I do still go back to like red and Blue.
You know, it's like, there's the reason why the ogs
just felt better.
Speaker 6 (01:18:37):
I don't have any confidence that the frame rate will
be any good based on their right recent Yeah, fun
on switching one out, but I'm hoping actually I hope, so,
but it looks it does look cool.
Speaker 9 (01:18:52):
And the other big thing was Xbox is handheld. They
announced their handheld.
Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
Say one of the names of the.
Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
Rog ally Xbox.
Speaker 1 (01:19:05):
Ally with an Xbox label on it. Right, well, they
teamed up with them to make difference to this is there.
Speaker 6 (01:19:14):
Oh, I believe like from a software side it's more right,
and and even like from the design.
Speaker 5 (01:19:20):
It's not just Windows.
Speaker 6 (01:19:22):
Well, yeah, I believe they're doing more to make it
more a great right. Originally, I was just trying to
say the name is, like, what is it? There's rog
what is it?
Speaker 4 (01:19:35):
I forget?
Speaker 6 (01:19:36):
It's like Xbox rog ally X. And then there's like
the regular one.
Speaker 3 (01:19:41):
Xbox rog ally s.
Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
Probably no, it's rog Xbox ally X is the high
end one. I'm not kidding with you. I just had
to make that was all but the way Xbox ally.
Speaker 6 (01:19:53):
So, so to finish this thought, it'll probably turn into like, oh,
did you get the Ally or did you get the
l I X, which I get like, but I just
hate all of that. Like, first of all, nobody likes
series X, and then you had rog, which nobody even
knows how.
Speaker 2 (01:20:08):
To pronounce anyway, and then.
Speaker 6 (01:20:10):
You sandwiched all this together, you got crazy, absolutely insane.
Speaker 1 (01:20:15):
So is this thing running like the Xbox OS or
at least like a front end that looks like Xbox.
Speaker 5 (01:20:20):
Or is this just running Windows?
Speaker 4 (01:20:23):
Well you would have the answers to this.
Speaker 6 (01:20:29):
All those breakdowns, but I mean in the trailer, I
mean they do try to focus on it strictly being
like called a what's Steam big picture?
Speaker 2 (01:20:36):
You know, but Xbox an Xbox app that is.
Speaker 6 (01:20:41):
It seems to me again at a glance, that it's
clearly that experience.
Speaker 2 (01:20:45):
So it's it's not just like Windows.
Speaker 6 (01:20:47):
It's got an av bar on the left and like
it has almost like a Steam esque and Xbox esque presentation.
Speaker 2 (01:20:53):
So I think I don't know in other words, where
rog ally.
Speaker 6 (01:20:57):
Is at with like booting up into you know, do
you have one uh prior or anyone uh what? But
in other words, like when you boot it up, does
it you know? Is it are you really just in
base Windows?
Speaker 9 (01:21:09):
I think it looks like the people are mostly saying Windows,
that it's a customized stripped down Windows with an Xbox U.
Speaker 3 (01:21:18):
I okay, not just straight up yeah running Windows, I heard, But.
Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
Then you can't run Steam like you can't run Epic
Game Store.
Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
Potentially. Yeah, I recall them.
Speaker 6 (01:21:32):
Someone also talking about something I'm trying to strip out
some of the problems of Windows as part of this too.
But yeah, I mean end of the day, Like the
big thing here seems to be they do have a handheld,
but they decided best to team up for now, maybe permanently,
and just get it out there. Focused on yeah, the software,
and then of course they really were focused on the
uh what is it called Xbox play everywhere?
Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
It says you can run Steam? Yeah, you can run Steam,
you can run third party apps, you can run yep.
Speaker 5 (01:22:01):
Does that mean that they have to make an app
for this or does that mean that they can run
the Windows app? I'm really asking chat.
Speaker 2 (01:22:10):
Yeah, I don't want to even take a guess on those.
Speaker 4 (01:22:12):
But again, Epic gog as supported.
Speaker 5 (01:22:17):
Okay, yep, anything.
Speaker 6 (01:22:19):
But a big part of this this message was now
you'll see more games.
Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
That is I think it.
Speaker 6 (01:22:23):
What was the term was it play everywhere but in
the cloud on this on your Xbox with cross play sorry,
cross progression, I believe is all of this is a
big part of this focus is like, well, you know,
maybe I'm on the go with this, but maybe I'm
on my Xbox or in my PC in the same setup.
So on that front, at least, it's exciting that they're
(01:22:45):
continuing to push that forward.
Speaker 4 (01:22:47):
And then they now said the Silk Song's gonna drop
with it.
Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
Oh my god, I gotta talk about this.
Speaker 5 (01:22:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:22:57):
Holiday twenty five apparently is when this is coming out
and Soaksong will be launching with it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:03):
Now, I gotta say, Team Cherry, I.
Speaker 9 (01:23:06):
Appreciate everything that you've done with video games, but I'm
starting to get a little man because they showed soilk
Song for half a second on the Nintendo Switch to
thing and we were like, what's going on there? And
now they're showing Soak Song on the Xbox Handheld, and
like they're not just saying we are coming out Holiday
(01:23:26):
twenty twenty five, it's like, while we're coming out with
the launch of.
Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
This thing, maybe possibly, it's like, can you just.
Speaker 9 (01:23:31):
Tell me I don't even need an exact date, I
would like one, but could you tell me, like, yes,
we the Silk Song game is coming out Holiday twenty
twenty five.
Speaker 4 (01:23:42):
Please.
Speaker 5 (01:23:44):
Yeah. I was really hoping it was gonna launch the
switch too, honestly.
Speaker 1 (01:23:47):
But yeah, I mean, I'll take I'll take how I mean,
we've been waiting now for almost ten years.
Speaker 9 (01:23:52):
So God really had been amazing, and this was it
was playable when it was announced.
Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
It was playable at E three. That's the crazy.
Speaker 9 (01:24:00):
Thing is they announced it six years ago, now playable
at E three.
Speaker 3 (01:24:05):
People were playing it.
Speaker 9 (01:24:07):
So we're like, oh, yeah, it's probably coming out for Ason.
Speaker 5 (01:24:09):
All Night is a beloved game. It's got to be
hard to follow that up, right, Like.
Speaker 4 (01:24:16):
I think good sacles are a blessing and a curse.
Can you have a follow up to something that's like
pretty much an instant classic?
Speaker 5 (01:24:27):
Yeah? All right?
Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
Going back to this rog Xbox ali Ax, it's because
I'm reading it off the screen because I was.
Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
Like, now he remembers everything.
Speaker 1 (01:24:40):
What's interesting about this is that Microsoft has also said
that they want to like fork Windows or inso much
as they want to have like a gaming specific version
of Windows, because I think they're kind of getting a
little bit nervous about how popular Stemos is and how
well it runs video games on low powered hardware. So
(01:25:00):
this device, to me, I'm not that interested in this device. Honestly,
I don't really want a handheld Windows machine. It's just
not My life is complicated enough.
Speaker 2 (01:25:12):
But it's just like a steam deck at that point,
isn't it.
Speaker 1 (01:25:15):
I mean, well, this one of the one joys of
the steam deck is that it runs Steam OS, which
is not Windows.
Speaker 5 (01:25:21):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:25:22):
It's like, I'm not getting into the any files of
my steam deck because yeah, I'm wrong. You know, I'm
not editing my startup because like some mouthware has like
accidentally got loaded on here.
Speaker 6 (01:25:35):
Yeah, but that seems to be the point of this,
like you're saying, so I'm wondering, Yeah, but you just
not believe they'll be able to pull that off.
Speaker 5 (01:25:42):
That's part of me.
Speaker 1 (01:25:43):
Yeah, that's fair, But that's part of it because if
it is a if it's just a front end loaded
on Windows, like like like Steam Big Picture, Like you
could make a PC that's running Windows just like automatically
beat boot up Big Picture. As far as you're concerned,
it just looks like Steam's the only thing running on
this thing. And if that's what this is, I mean,
(01:26:06):
that's not very attractive to me. I mean, other people
like Windows. I mean I just don't like Windows. I
don't trust my softly and I think they're part of
the problem. That part of the solution. But like, it
is interesting that they find steam Os to be so
much of a like a a competitor that they're willing
to fork Windows like to make a better performing gaming platform.
Speaker 4 (01:26:31):
Yeah, interesting to say.
Speaker 6 (01:26:32):
I mean, do you think it could be all the
above and the few like in other words, they do
need to sort of fix this from an Xbox app
and experience perspective, But do you think this would be
because with this write off having Steam as well on
the system at some point, because there were those rumors
about right, like at some point, didn't we see like
leaks or something that was going to maybe allow you
(01:26:52):
to do both or something and could have just been conceptual.
But but yeah, meaning Steam runs on Windows, so I
know that Steam OS is different rights like Linux. But yeah,
in other words, maybe there's still a chance that they'll
strip this down and Steam OS will still run, or
it could do a boot or something on something like this.
Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:27:12):
Yeah, I mean theoretically, you know, you just to boot.
Speaker 2 (01:27:16):
But dual boot is not like for most consumers, it's
not a thought.
Speaker 5 (01:27:19):
Now And I put Windows on my Steam deck one
time and what a mess. Yeah, but an awful experience.
Speaker 8 (01:27:32):
We I actually missed this on before the Vampire Witcher
the Dawn of the Blood of Dawn Walk on.
Speaker 4 (01:27:39):
You remember this?
Speaker 5 (01:27:40):
No, what's this?
Speaker 8 (01:27:42):
It looks like a Vampire Witcher. It's probably the best
is the action ap G.
Speaker 1 (01:27:49):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:27:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:27:50):
Yeah, I think it had that really cool story trailer
with the.
Speaker 5 (01:27:57):
With the vampires kind.
Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
Of like this was acting an additional announcement at the
game show Gameplay, Gameplay, let me have a let me
scan three. Blood of Dawn Walker is the name.
Speaker 3 (01:28:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:28:11):
They had like a dev kind of show showing where
they were talking about inspirations for the vampires and how
they wanted to make them a bit different than Yeah.
So there's it's something that I saw and I was like,
I like their ideas, I like what they're saying about it,
but I need to see some gameplay.
Speaker 3 (01:28:29):
Yeah, I need gameplay.
Speaker 4 (01:28:32):
Yeah yeah, yeah, Okay. We also found the Nintendo's next
victim for suing because this animo uh trailer looks like
Power World and also uses the whatever they just patented,
(01:28:53):
the the pokey balls, like using a sypherical bowl to
capture shops. There's been a bit of talk about whether
it's I was gonna get sued into oblivion and it's
pretty ballsy. I don't know, put a trailer with using
that mechanic, considering what happened to Power World.
Speaker 7 (01:29:09):
I'm making enough money to pay the legal fees.
Speaker 6 (01:29:13):
Maybe maybe them out there that's a strategy.
Speaker 4 (01:29:18):
Oh yeah, maybe it's a marketing strategy.
Speaker 5 (01:29:21):
Yeah, very similar.
Speaker 4 (01:29:24):
Yeah, well, I mean THEO like animals.
Speaker 8 (01:29:27):
Uh yeah, I don't have much more to add apart
from me watch out space.
Speaker 4 (01:29:32):
For Animo A and A N double I m o. Yeah,
it's Xbox Showcase.
Speaker 7 (01:29:39):
Is that a bet awesome animals with hammers Man?
Speaker 2 (01:29:47):
Yeah? Animal, literally, just animal, I get it now.
Speaker 8 (01:29:52):
And then there's whole bunch of the Gears of All stuff,
Gears of War remake and a prequel as well.
Speaker 4 (01:29:57):
I think.
Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
But stuff. My lists got very large. There was a lot.
Speaker 9 (01:30:07):
I want to just shout out one indie game that
I saw, because there was so many. I want to
just tell you about one that I think all of
you may kind of dig.
Speaker 3 (01:30:17):
Mylin if you want to look it up.
Speaker 9 (01:30:19):
It's c r I s O L Theater of Idols
Chrissoul Theater of Idol r.
Speaker 4 (01:30:27):
I s O L r I s O L yepkay.
Speaker 3 (01:30:31):
Why you do that. I'll give a little breakdown.
Speaker 9 (01:30:33):
So it's a first person horror action game set in
a twisted version of Spain, and you use like your
blood to make weapons and reload weapons, and it's it's
that whole thing. The music was really cool, which won't
be able to hear, so you have to watch the
trailer yourself.
Speaker 3 (01:30:51):
But the music was really cool.
Speaker 9 (01:30:53):
And it's being published by Blumhouse Games, which is the
publication company that was made by like really well known
and established horror movie creators, So they're publishing a bunch
of these really cool games. So keeping an eye on
what they're publishing actually might give you a good idea
about it's creepy.
Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
It's creepy, it's it just looks really cool.
Speaker 9 (01:31:19):
It's got really interesting vibes, and yeah, you're like draining
blood and turning that into your your weapon and you're
reloading with your blood and it.
Speaker 3 (01:31:27):
Just looks cool. Thought I thought it was really cool.
This is one of the few indie games that I
saw where I was like, I think I could bring
this up and kind of show people and.
Speaker 7 (01:31:36):
Those there where the reload of the gun has like
needlesticken out of it and he slammed his hand into
it to like, L that's really cool.
Speaker 9 (01:31:45):
Yeah, because I've seen a couple of games that are like, yeah,
use your blood as bullets, but like, this is the
first one that I've seen that really seems to show
you what you're doing to get that ammo, Like yeah, stinging,
sticking your r into needles and reloading it's it's cool.
Speaker 8 (01:32:03):
If you don't like needles, this is not this is
gonna be a game.
Speaker 5 (01:32:07):
Don't don't.
Speaker 3 (01:32:08):
Yeah, if you don't like needles, I don't recommend.
Speaker 5 (01:32:10):
I don't mind needles.
Speaker 1 (01:32:11):
They just like you sticking me with them.
Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
There was so many, there were so many indie games.
I was like, that looks kind of cool. That looks
kind of cool, And you.
Speaker 8 (01:32:20):
Know what's crazy moment, it's also Next Fest. I'm been
playing a bunch of like demos as well.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
It is Next Fest, dude, I was so.
Speaker 9 (01:32:26):
I was so anytime Next Fest comes around, there's always
something big that launches that I can't play it. This time,
I was like, Oh, it's summer, it's not going to
be like much, right.
Speaker 3 (01:32:37):
They don't care anymore.
Speaker 9 (01:32:39):
Game developers don't care. They don't care that it's summer.
They don't want you to go outside.
Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
I thought I'd be free to stay inside and play
demos instead of playing four games.
Speaker 8 (01:32:48):
I got some some I played maybe five or six
games yesterday.
Speaker 4 (01:32:52):
So I'm gonna give you.
Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
A little break.
Speaker 8 (01:32:56):
Yeah, Moon Lighter two my favorite so far.
Speaker 4 (01:33:03):
It is a rogue Is it light or light?
Speaker 3 (01:33:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:33:08):
Probably it's a.
Speaker 8 (01:33:08):
Rogue light, you know, like well actually not really like haities,
but it's right. You got you go in, you get gear,
you know, you level up, you get random combos of
perks whatever. But the hook of the game is you
collect relics and then you have to run a shop
when you get back to town. And so when you
get back to town, you put your your relics, you know,
(01:33:30):
onto these little pedestals and you have customers come to
your shop, and there's another rogue mechanic to sell your
gear to customers, like you can have like a haggle system,
but it's like a perk combo. So it's like, you know,
you can just add an additional one hundred coin onto
this onto this price, and then you can increase it
by certain percentage and then you might get another buff.
Speaker 4 (01:33:51):
So you're you're.
Speaker 8 (01:33:51):
Basically like running around running a shop while you get
like these buck buffs and perks to increase the value,
and that money you use to like give permanent upgrades
to your character and level up your gear and then
go back into the dungeon. It's a free demo. You
can play it right now.
Speaker 4 (01:34:06):
It's on Steam. Yeah, the other platforms too. It's very fun.
Speaker 2 (01:34:10):
It's funny.
Speaker 6 (01:34:10):
I didn't see it at first what you were describing.
I didn't catch the name of it. I was like,
that sounds like I remember my friend really liked the
game that was a lot like that.
Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
And yeah, it's Moonlight.
Speaker 6 (01:34:18):
You can play the first one, which, by the way,
it looks like you have a sale on Steam for
two bucks right now. Yeah, about a week or so
left for that one. But yeah, I heard nothing but
good things about that one.
Speaker 2 (01:34:30):
So the combat is.
Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
Really like you can't spam it.
Speaker 8 (01:34:37):
You get locked into your animations and it looks like
cutesy game, but it pretty much kicks your ass from
the very get go. You're like, okay, this is not
the game where I can just kind of like spam
X and knock everything over. I do a couple of tacks,
roll out of it you have multiple enemies, like it
does have that frantic rugue light gameplay style, but you know,
like Hades, you feel like you have you can just
(01:34:58):
fill the screen with like like bullet hell kind of
deal where you get a combo of stuff and you
could just kill everything on the screen. This is a
little bit more like from what I played so far,
a bit more combat focused with your gear and like
very you know, thoughtful with you know when you're going
to attack an enemy, rather than like get some crazy
perk combo that wipes everything.
Speaker 4 (01:35:19):
It could get to that point.
Speaker 8 (01:35:21):
But the demo is you know a little bit more
grounded with the combat, which I kind of liked. And
they're selling the stuff in the store is just a
really fun feature to it as well.
Speaker 4 (01:35:32):
Very nice.
Speaker 6 (01:35:34):
Yeah, it looks like this developer is I was just
checking them out on Steam Digital Sun.
Speaker 2 (01:35:38):
It looks like they're they cooking really interesting stuff.
Speaker 6 (01:35:41):
I had never seen the Mage Seeker or cataclysmo, but
if you get it, it looks like everybody's liking their games.
Speaker 2 (01:35:47):
So all of them look really interesting. Cool development.
Speaker 8 (01:35:50):
Else.
Speaker 9 (01:35:50):
Yep, I played Steps You're Dead in the video game.
Speaker 3 (01:35:57):
Thank god you played?
Speaker 4 (01:35:58):
Everybody?
Speaker 3 (01:36:00):
Really, what kind of game is the smiling tu fun?
Speaker 8 (01:36:06):
What do you It is tedious? But I think it's
a game that like I would do a couple of
times on the stream. I'll have a couple of runs
and I'll put it down.
Speaker 4 (01:36:17):
And it is is it only up?
Speaker 8 (01:36:19):
What's the one when you're in the pot with the
pickaxe and you've gotta climb like a mountain?
Speaker 6 (01:36:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:36:25):
I think right, it's not only up.
Speaker 4 (01:36:27):
No, it's it's.
Speaker 2 (01:36:28):
It's it's that style jumping. Yeah, I know the one
you're talking about. Yeah, killing me?
Speaker 8 (01:36:36):
The walking so straight, it's a funny setup. So the
way that it works is you press left stick, leans
your character and then like.
Speaker 4 (01:36:48):
Right right trigger lifts your right leg. Left trigger lifts
your left legs.
Speaker 5 (01:36:51):
So you gotta.
Speaker 8 (01:36:55):
Hold the trigger like right trigger and then lean and
that and then leg got the trigger foot we'll go
down and then left trigger and then put you for
down and so it's just walking and the premise the
moment is I need to go to the bathroom. I
get sucked into this other dimension. I'm a no hope kid,
like thirty forty year old living at home with his
parents in a onesie.
Speaker 4 (01:37:16):
And you know you've got to make it to the bathroom,
which is on top of this hill, apparently.
Speaker 9 (01:37:24):
Getting a bush.
Speaker 7 (01:37:25):
No bush, wheeze here, yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:37:28):
No busheese Yeah even it even like addresses the guy's like, oh,
why don't you just pean for the bush?
Speaker 4 (01:37:33):
And he's like, got anxiety.
Speaker 7 (01:37:34):
He's like, it kind of gives you like human fall
flat vibes.
Speaker 4 (01:37:41):
Yeah. Yeah, Uh, you can try the demo. Just download
the demo.
Speaker 8 (01:37:46):
See if you're like I think it's I think it's
a fun to give it a couple of shots. I
probably wouldn't play it all day, but I'll give it
a couple of shots maybe.
Speaker 4 (01:37:53):
Each day for a streamer game, Yeah, definitely. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:37:59):
Well under Water, I mean I got about but I
feel like I've been yapping the whole time.
Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
Yeah, would you shut up?
Speaker 3 (01:38:06):
Geez?
Speaker 4 (01:38:07):
Yeah, I can't believe it.
Speaker 2 (01:38:10):
God, we covered so much already.
Speaker 7 (01:38:12):
I know, we've talked about a lot of games.
Speaker 5 (01:38:15):
Oddly productive show tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
Did I didn't get this? Did they actually release the
split Gate Battle round?
Speaker 3 (01:38:24):
Yeah, Mind's eye after to you right?
Speaker 4 (01:38:29):
Uh to a shot? Yeah. The controversy around that.
Speaker 8 (01:38:34):
The guy came out with a makenps great again, said
he hates cold duty and once totten full three, which
everyone's kind of.
Speaker 4 (01:38:43):
Like, yeah, fair plight.
Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
Uh did getting tanked there?
Speaker 4 (01:38:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:38:48):
That the twitter went off the rails a little bit
and was like attacking Cold Judy devs, well, not really attacking.
I guess that would just that would just throwing shade back,
and they delayed some tweets.
Speaker 6 (01:38:56):
And I think with the hat, I think without the
hat they wouldn't have cared as much.
Speaker 4 (01:39:01):
Probably, but yeah, uh, anyway, might be controversy works. I
downloaded Splic to spread play.
Speaker 8 (01:39:07):
It had been bita for a month and uh just
officially launched with the Battle Royale.
Speaker 6 (01:39:13):
Uh so you tried the Battle Royale because yeah, like
the normal game is I like split Gate.
Speaker 2 (01:39:18):
Did he freeze?
Speaker 6 (01:39:21):
I thought he was, thought his internet went out. Maybe
they got to him chat. He was about to real
bad about it.
Speaker 5 (01:39:29):
I think having broke.
Speaker 4 (01:39:31):
Well, that's also.
Speaker 2 (01:39:32):
How that's dumb. Well, maybe we'll come back to Split
eight if my own comes.
Speaker 3 (01:39:39):
We could talk about Mind's Eye while we wait. I
did not play it.
Speaker 9 (01:39:46):
Okay, Mind's Eye has been quite a spicy launch. So
this was a game that's supposed to be like a
GTA like game created by someone who previously worked. Yeah,
I believe it started out, so I'm not super read
(01:40:06):
up on this, but it started as like they were
making this platform where users could make games with their platform,
and Mind's Eye was going to be like an example
of the kind of thing that you could make in
that platform or something like that. So the game comes out,
it releases, and it is almost unplayable for a lot
(01:40:28):
of people. Like the bugs that are happening are really bad.
People were playing the story and they reached the end
and they're like, what the hell is going on? It's
so bad that PlayStation is like just giving refunds, which
you know what kind of situation it's got to be
when that happens. And I saw something happen that I've
never seen happen before. Where so Cocarnage had a sponsor
(01:40:53):
to play Mindseye. The sponsor, as he was loading up
the game reached out and care and sold the sponsorship
or paused it.
Speaker 3 (01:41:02):
They didn't want him to play.
Speaker 2 (01:41:03):
They don't play it.
Speaker 3 (01:41:04):
Oh man, They're like, do not play this game? Sponsorship pause,
don't play it?
Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
Yeah, like they just just yeah, they were like, how
do we keep from rolling out?
Speaker 4 (01:41:17):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:41:18):
Yeah, that's crazy though, to be. That's the part.
Speaker 6 (01:41:20):
I just don't understand that we often get into with
these types of problems. It's like, but how did you
not know? Like did you think did you really not
know there was this many problems? Would you just think
that people would get over it? Like and then you
have all these sponsorships on top of it when you knew.
Speaker 2 (01:41:38):
I don't know if something happening in QA.
Speaker 6 (01:41:40):
I haven't really looked into this at all, because I'm like, look,
I'm not looking for a game like this right now personally,
even if it was good, you know, we wait till
next year for actual GTA six maybe, but but anyway,
it's crazy seeing some of the bus by the way, am.
Speaker 4 (01:41:56):
I back.
Speaker 8 (01:41:58):
I was having was yapping about split Guy too, and
then all of a sudden was talking about mind.
Speaker 2 (01:42:04):
Consider it a rehearsal.
Speaker 8 (01:42:07):
When did I drop out?
Speaker 2 (01:42:10):
Dropped out? Almost almost four minutes ago.
Speaker 8 (01:42:13):
Yeah, oh my god, I've been told to myself a
four minutes and everyone's like being very respected.
Speaker 2 (01:42:19):
But minds I as a mess. Maybe we just wrapped
that up list.
Speaker 3 (01:42:22):
Minds is a mess.
Speaker 9 (01:42:23):
It's a mess. If you want to look into it.
It's kind of funny if you're feeling. If you're feeling
like a little bit of a gossipy Gilda, Yeah, I
like that.
Speaker 2 (01:42:32):
Going to be fair to them.
Speaker 6 (01:42:35):
The they did respond that need to be fair, like
if you bought it and wasted your money, it's not
so fair. But they did, meaning they are claiming they're
working on all this stuff. If you want to see
they have like a multi stage like fix it type plan.
But yeah, it's pretty crazy. Not I don't know what happened,
if they were running out of money or what, but
it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:42:55):
That's pretty nuts.
Speaker 4 (01:42:57):
M to great game.
Speaker 6 (01:43:00):
I had asked you, did you play the Battle Royale,
because the core game is great, I like, you know,
in general, I like split it.
Speaker 8 (01:43:06):
But yeah, so I was saying the core game is great,
the four be four are great. The game modes in
the four before are really good, and I had the
most fun with them.
Speaker 4 (01:43:16):
The Battle Royale I did not enjoy that much.
Speaker 8 (01:43:18):
And people who split game fans, like in my stream,
we're saying it probably needs a little bit more time
as well. It doesn't really feel like a Battle Royale.
You have these four sections, these four arenas that you
drop into, so like you're on a ship, like a
battle Royale, and you've got to choose when to jump,
but it's not one big map. It's like four separate arenas. Yeah,
(01:43:40):
the ship takes you through and so you kind of
get straight into the action straight away. You still have
to you start with a pistol, you have to plute
everything else, and then you're you're just kind of fighting
until the zone comes in and then it converges on
like a single arena.
Speaker 5 (01:43:56):
I get the one that's like Halo with portals.
Speaker 4 (01:44:00):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:44:03):
I just didn't feel like it worked, but I don't
know if that was a skill issue. There is another
mode that's called Onslaught, which is big maps, and I
also didn't feel like the portals worked in that. But
then I saw people playing it and there's a big
like movement skill gap that's a bit like Titan Fall,
where you can maintain momentum and just like launch yourself
(01:44:24):
across the map, and I was like, okay, like I
was playing it wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:44:27):
Like, oh, accept that.
Speaker 8 (01:44:29):
And so you kind of can do some of that
in the Batterrel obviously because it's a more open area.
But I didn't drive with it, and I actually feel
like they would have been better off just not calling
it Battle Royale and it's just their own spin at
some like Knockout Arena mode that's you know, big, you know,
one hundred players in.
Speaker 7 (01:44:47):
It rather than But then you got to market it.
Speaker 4 (01:44:50):
You know.
Speaker 7 (01:44:50):
That's the tricky part because you say battle Royale, you
immediately reach you, you flip a switch and everyone's brains
because everyone knows what to expect, right, So you'd have to, like,
I don't know, you'd have to get creative with your marketing.
Speaker 4 (01:45:02):
Then if you were going to do that, well I.
Speaker 8 (01:45:04):
Think, I mean, it's kind of interesting thing, right because
I call it battle Royale, and that gave them a
People turned to them for calling it a battle royale
because you know, the CEO was like, we don't like
the call of Judy Slop. Here's a Battle Royale to
literally background music of imagine dragons.
Speaker 4 (01:45:19):
So everyone's like.
Speaker 8 (01:45:20):
Well, you know, you can't call everyone else out and
trend chase at the same.
Speaker 4 (01:45:26):
Time, do you know what I mean?
Speaker 8 (01:45:27):
Yeah, I definitely see where they're going, but I don't
know whether.
Speaker 4 (01:45:34):
Well, let me put it this way.
Speaker 8 (01:45:35):
I played during peak times and I waited in Q
for six minutes to get a game, so maybe that's
an objective way of putting the current fan base.
Speaker 5 (01:45:47):
Part of.
Speaker 7 (01:45:49):
It's part of that.
Speaker 8 (01:45:50):
Well, yeah, I did during the day, and I also
did during peak time just to see if it would change.
I actually had quicker times in the middle of the
day and then I did like after work, So.
Speaker 4 (01:46:05):
Could be just a location thing.
Speaker 8 (01:46:07):
But I think it's also kind of fair to use
that as an example because other regions, I think this
game just came out right and I, let's say, like
Our Creators was a close beta with multiple servers, and
I got games off peak every single time middle of
the day, So it's kind of like I think, I
(01:46:28):
think the extremes of like matchmaking feel the impacts of
games not doing well first, So maybe it was like
an austrange thing, but I think for.
Speaker 4 (01:46:36):
A game that just literally launched, you should be expect
to get more.
Speaker 7 (01:46:41):
It was pretty quickly, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:46:44):
A lot quicker than six minutes for the mode that
they just announced. Well, so you know, I think it
needs a little bit more time. The batter roun and
the loot options need some some more love, or it
might just been the game only appeals to people that
really want to master that like movement skill gap early on,
(01:47:04):
and you know when you watch people play like that,
it looks like a completely different game. And then people
usually go, do I want to do that? Or do
I not want to play like that? Yeah? True, yeah, yeah,
either way, it's free to play, download it. They also
had one hundred dollars micro transactions that they removed or
they half the price off. The one hundred and twelve
(01:47:27):
dollars is what it would cost me for a cosmetic
bundle and after the Call of Duty.
Speaker 7 (01:47:34):
But yeah, in the bundle that makes it worth one
hundred and twenty bucks.
Speaker 4 (01:47:39):
Nothing is break it up and show.
Speaker 8 (01:47:40):
It's literally like weapon skins, weapon skins and like character skins,
like maybe five maybe like five items.
Speaker 7 (01:47:48):
That sounds really agregious.
Speaker 2 (01:47:50):
Yeah, I guess it was eighty bucks maybe in the US.
Speaker 5 (01:47:53):
But it's eighty bucks, yeah, I think it was.
Speaker 4 (01:47:55):
I think it was eighty of the US.
Speaker 5 (01:47:57):
It's a lot.
Speaker 4 (01:47:59):
But still they.
Speaker 5 (01:48:02):
A brand new Xbox game.
Speaker 7 (01:48:04):
Yeah, I was gonna say a full release.
Speaker 4 (01:48:08):
Hm hmm. I mean I know it's free to probably,
but you.
Speaker 7 (01:48:11):
Know, model still needs to make sense. Be reasonable.
Speaker 8 (01:48:15):
Yeah, you can't like be criticizing the Cold Duty devs
and saying like you guys just releasing sloping and then
like have a Battle Royale with one hundred dollars micro transaction.
Speaker 7 (01:48:30):
Yeah, for sure their pitch was not good, like your
there's a way, there's a way to promote your vision
and what's different about it without being inflammatory and berating
other people in the industry.
Speaker 4 (01:48:45):
Yes, yeah, and.
Speaker 7 (01:48:48):
It seemed like they didn't even consider that as an option.
Speaker 4 (01:48:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:48:54):
And then the thing that say I was saying, like
I didn't know about the price of lot this stuff
on this door.
Speaker 4 (01:49:00):
Yeah, like.
Speaker 8 (01:49:04):
Right now, so this is what you get for one
hundred and twelve dollars.
Speaker 4 (01:49:10):
So you have one, uh, a nanose.
Speaker 8 (01:49:13):
Skin, a skin for the pistol, a skin for the hyperline, cabline,
you know, so what, four weapon skins, and then a
skin for your portal.
Speaker 2 (01:49:27):
It's funny though when you go through that though, it
just sort of reminds me of I have.
Speaker 6 (01:49:31):
It could be way off, but like Valoriant for some reason,
where I'm like, yeah, dude, stuff was just like it's crazy. Yeah,
for and it's the quality maybe a thousand times better
and the Valeriane stuff for all I can remember, But right,
it's not like it's completely unprecedent, but it's it's partially
because like this is splicate too, and like what are
you doing?
Speaker 2 (01:49:49):
You know?
Speaker 8 (01:49:50):
Yeah, because like if you want to be a market leader,
do you know what a mark like? In my mind,
market leaders right now going against the grain when it
comes to like Battle Passer and micro transactions and inventing
another way that doesn't feel like just a funnel to
get you to open your wallet. And you know, when
you come across those games that do that, you're like, hey,
I really respect this developer. Now I want to spend
(01:50:11):
more time in there given feedback because I feel like
they're on the right track for you know, not being
so egregeous with micro transactions and free.
Speaker 4 (01:50:19):
To play market.
Speaker 6 (01:50:21):
He apparently said in this video that, yeah, the former
head of monetization at ten forty seven Games is the
developer came from Call of Duty but had been very
aggressive on pricing. But they were only there for so
long and then they claimed some things slipped through the
cracks and they had reevaluated.
Speaker 2 (01:50:37):
I mean, this is like full of problems.
Speaker 5 (01:50:40):
The guy who stole this art doesn't even work here anymore.
Speaker 4 (01:50:45):
It's so dude, too soon, Well, did everyone take notes?
Everyone listening? Do you take notes of all the games
you want to play?
Speaker 9 (01:50:56):
I hope you were taking notes? Did I've resident will
tomorrow I'm doing a I'm doing a demo day.
Speaker 3 (01:51:08):
There's a lot of them.
Speaker 9 (01:51:10):
There's a lot of them, and this is like one
of the better Steam Next bests that I've seen. This
is like a ton of really really good demos.
Speaker 3 (01:51:18):
So I'm excited, full tearless.
Speaker 7 (01:51:21):
At the end of the day, do a full tier list, yeah,
the demos, and then I would love to catch the
highlights and be like, Okay, yeah, I.
Speaker 8 (01:51:29):
Speaking of the exact time saying, I was like, I
want to play because I need this week and role
I was like, I want to play as many as
I can, and then I just scroll through the next, last,
next best thing. I've probably had at least twenty games already.
Speaker 4 (01:51:43):
I'm like, I.
Speaker 3 (01:51:44):
Read there's no way it ends on Monday, June sixteenth
at ten am Pacific. So yep, it's like tomorrow on
the weekend. Pretty much is what you have to play.
Speaker 4 (01:51:57):
You're going to have to give games like Max an
hour if you want to get I.
Speaker 3 (01:52:01):
Was gonna do like an hour.
Speaker 9 (01:52:05):
Because it depends on the kind of game right, because
some of the demos are literally the beginning of the
game and they're like, here's the ttorial in the intro,
in the world building, and then an hour is when
you hit the gameplay. So I was gonna do like
an hour and a half, and I guess we got
to just be really strict of whether it grabs us
or not is kind of what it has to be.
And uh, there is a game coming out tomorrow called
(01:52:26):
The Altars, which you guys may have heard about. I
don't know if you guys have played this War of Mine.
It's by those guys and their thing is so it's
a base building survival, actual adventure sci fi.
Speaker 3 (01:52:40):
It's got a lot of really cool stuff going on.
Speaker 9 (01:52:43):
But they're blending a bunch of different things together where
you're kind of doing like time travel and space expedition
and it's about managing your your base. But this has
gotten reviews today and it's got really really good reviews.
If you are interested in watching the game or streaming
the game, they're gonna have Twitch integration where chat can
choose your outcome of dialogue options and who decide with.
Speaker 3 (01:53:06):
Them what to do.
Speaker 9 (01:53:07):
It sounds the alters a L T E. R s
that comes out tomorrow, but there should be lots of
rules out there, yep, if anyone is interested in looking
at reviews.
Speaker 3 (01:53:21):
But it looks really fun. It looks fun, it looks fun,
so I'm going to check that out now.
Speaker 4 (01:53:32):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
They have frost Punk eighteen eighty six on their pigeon.
Do they have anything to do with the original? It's
on their page, but yeah, I think that is okay, Briar,
there you go. It's the developer of frost Punk.
Speaker 4 (01:53:45):
I guess.
Speaker 5 (01:53:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:53:47):
They are a pub Yeah, it's a publisher and developer. Yeah,
you gotta just double check because they publish a lot
of games and they don't develop. They also publish Moonlighter, so.
Speaker 4 (01:53:59):
Yep, talking about earlier.
Speaker 2 (01:54:01):
Yeah, interesting.
Speaker 5 (01:54:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:54:05):
They make really good like base management kind of games,
Like they're really good at that. And this one is
like full three d oh yeah, where you actually go
out into the world and do expeditions and stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:54:17):
You didn't get to that pod.
Speaker 3 (01:54:19):
Yeah, because you see that you've got like the base building,
but they have also added the action adventure stuff too.
Speaker 4 (01:54:26):
Right, right, it looked like the base spinning almost was
like what was that full out like spin off like
that Shelter or something Shelter. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:54:36):
Yeah, So actually rast brings up a good a good thing.
The hook is that your crew is full of clones
of you from alternate timelines.
Speaker 5 (01:54:44):
Oh weird?
Speaker 3 (01:54:45):
Oh yeah right yeah, so it's it's a really it's
a really cool premise. I want to check it out.
I want to I want to play it.
Speaker 8 (01:54:52):
Where you're gonna play that when you're like one hundred
next has demos to get to.
Speaker 9 (01:54:56):
I'm going to add it as part of It's not
a demo, but I'm going to add it as part
of it.
Speaker 3 (01:55:00):
We'll play it for a bit, especially with twitch integration.
That's gonna be really funny. You're like, no, don't side
with the guy who wants to eat people? Yeah, like hello,
And I was like really.
Speaker 5 (01:55:21):
Mm hmm, should we wra have to swim up?
Speaker 4 (01:55:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:55:26):
That was a good show.
Speaker 4 (01:55:27):
It was a good job.
Speaker 3 (01:55:28):
Everybody get your.
Speaker 5 (01:55:30):
Lists all right.
Speaker 7 (01:55:33):
We had we had a temporarily dad us milind to
get him to stop talking.
Speaker 9 (01:55:38):
Yeah that's a smile, Like, oh no, was I talking
too much?
Speaker 8 (01:55:49):
I was so goddamn confused because I came back in
and watched completely different conversation about.
Speaker 4 (01:55:57):
Like that commuted me. Next conversation, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:56:08):
You did.
Speaker 3 (01:56:09):
You got all those trailers ready, you had everything. Line
that was great.
Speaker 7 (01:56:12):
Yeah, you were m VP tonight. You were m v

Speaker 1 (01:56:16):
