The ten remaining teams traveled to Nagano, Japan where the teams faced a roadblock requiring the solving of a puzzle box and quick mastery of Japanese linguistics. The detour challenged the teams to feed each other a bowl of udon noodles (using only chopsticks) or take turns pushing their seated partner around an ice skating track. At the pit stop, Patio Daimon, the field is reduced to nine teams.
