On today's show, we would like to welcome Leslie
from Dream Creators Les who isavailable to help you with all
your Disney travel planningneeds.
And before we get to ourinterview with Leslie, we are
going to be talking aboutsomething from the west coast.
And no, I'm not talking aboutDisneyland today we're gonna be
discussing my recent visit tothe Walt Disney Family Museum in

(02:31):
San Francisco.
Now I was out there, I actuallyhad a friend who had a family
emergency and I went out thereto help with some things and
after a few days before I wastraveling home, we had a chance
to just take a day and relax andthey are in the Sacramento area.
So we took a road trip over toSan Francisco for the day.

(02:52):
And I will say this wasdefinitely on my Disney bucket
list.
I know I mentioned it to Chrisseveral times before.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
It was just an awesome opportunity for her to
see something she's alwayswanted to see.
And we're not necessarily reallywest coast people, we don't have
any family out there.
So this was an awesomeopportunity for her to see a
friend and also go to a placethat she's always wanted to be
to.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, so it was really last minute planning.
We literally decided to go tothe museum two days before so
you don't have to plan a lotahead of time.
You do buy the tickets onlineand you pick a time for your
arrival.
Um, but just a little bit ofbackground about the museum and
then we'll talk about mythoughts and opinions about it.
I am a history buff.

(03:31):
We enjoy going to museum so I amgonna bore you with a few facts
about it.
But the museum is really a coolplace.
It's in original army barracks, the buildings.
So when you look at the front ofthe building it's awesome
because you're reallytransported back in time.
My grandfather was stationed atthis base during World War II

(03:53):
for part of the time.
So it was really iconic for meto get to visit and not just
because it was Disney but I alsohave a family connection there.
So the buildings themselves arepart of a national park.
So the front of the building, ithas banners that say the Walt
Disney Family Museum, but it'snot like it doesn't scream
Disney because it's a historicsite.
They have the main buildings andthen there's some buildings to

(04:14):
the back where they host specialexhibits.
Right now they have a JungleBook exhibit.
We did not go into there, wehonestly just didn't have enough
time.
But it is really awesome thecost.
You can check online but theyvary.
My friend's dad is retiredmilitary so he was able to get
in at no cost.
Our tickets were only$25.

(04:36):
So it's pretty affordable to beable to go and visit the museum.
And if you're out there, there'sdefinitely, depending on the
type of Disney fan you are, youwill definitely wanna check it
out.
So Chris, we'll go ahead andhave you ask me a few questions
about what I

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Thought to start.
What were your overallimpressions of the museum

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Now is someone who enjoys reading books about the
Disney parks and about WillDisney and the Imagineers?
I loved it.
It was funny because my friendand her dad had been there
before and he said, be prepared.
You're gonna do a lot ofreading.
And that is really true.
It is definitely a place foradults.

(05:16):
There were a few kids there butwe have a five year old.
She would not have had fun.
It is lots of displays with lotsof reading.
And the fun thing is, is it goesall the way through the history
of the Disney family, throughthe Disney, the various
businesses that Walt had and hisbrothers.

(05:36):
And then goes through thehistory of all of the films and
very big details.
So depending on what sort offilms you enjoyed, you could
really take a deep dive intothem.
They had original artwork andsell and original things from
the Disney family, so manyphotos and documents.
I mean it was just amazing tosee that all housed in one

(05:58):
place.
And then of course it progressedits way to the Disney parks and
you have the first few years ofDisneyland.
They have a really cool modelwhich we'll talk about a little
bit later.
But overall the museum was liketaking every Disney book I've
ever read about the history andputting them all in one space.

(06:21):
And I tried to read as much aspossible in a couple of hours.
We were there for three hoursand I feel like maybe I read 60%
of the signs and there's a lotof interactive displays which
were fun that you could do a lotof things and we tried to
experiment and test all of thosecause I really wanted to be able
to share some of that with allof you.

(06:43):
So there are some hands-onthings if you're someone that's
like, oh man, I don'tlike to do a lot of reading or
that sounds intense, you couldjust walk through and enjoy the
displays.
I wanted to soak in thatinformation Now I think if Chris
would've been there, he's a guythat more goes and looks at the
displays and I think you don'tread every little detail on the
stuff.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
I'm not doing that.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yeah, no.
So I think he would've taken inmore of the overall displays
where I wanted to take in a lotof the detailed information.
The interactive exhibits werefun because they had ones where
you could do things related tothe music of the different films
and you could mismatch and dodifferent things to connect.

(07:23):
So if you like the musical sideof things, they had things
related to the artwork.
I spent a good chunk of time, they had one display where you
could go through and listen toshort interviews from different
imagineers and different artistsfrom things over the years.
They even had a spot where youcould do um, they had one of the
birds from the tiki room and youcould learn how the animatronics

(07:45):
worked.
So it was very overall assomebody who loves all of those
things, Disney, it was wellworth the visit.
I would love to go back and readeven more of the things.
I think every time you go youwould learn something new.
My friend had been there abouteight years ago and she spent

(08:05):
just as much time reading thingsand absorbing it as I did.
And she said there were newthings that weren't there when
they were there last time.
So overall, those are some of mygeneral impressions about the
museum and I think if you arethat type of a Disney fan where
you like to learn the historyand you like to have some of the
details maybe about certainfilms or certain projects that

(08:26):
Walt had, you will really enjoyyour time there.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
You know, you mentioned, you know how you're a
super fan and I'm a fan.
What kind of folks, what levelof Disney fan should go to this
museum?

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I think if you are a person that's into the history
of the parks and about you liketo read the books by the
imagineers and you're into thatsort of thing, you will love the
museum.
If you are someone that justloves, I would say say just the
rides and maybe just, I know wehave some friends that are super

(08:59):
into certain series of the filmsor into different characters of
the films.
If you're not into the processthat goes into it, I think
you're not gonna have a greattime.
You'll enjoy it but you're notgonna spend three hours reading
all the signs that I did.
I will also say if you have achild that's under the age of
probably middle school, unlessthey're really into history,

(09:22):
they probably are not gonna havea great time.
And I would suggest not bringingkids.
We saw a handful of children, the kids that seemed to be
enjoying it the most were morelike high school age and ones
that were like into artwork, youcould tell the ones that were
wanting to look at some of thepieces from some of the films
and there's a lot of the handdrawn artwork they had.

(09:44):
Um, the different tools that histhat they used the an for the
animation.
So you could see through severallevels to see the uh, camera
that they used for Snow White.
So those kind of people willenjoy it If you're just someone
that really likes is more aboutthe the rides and those sorts of
things, I think you're betteroff maybe going a few mile a few

(10:06):
hours down the road and going toDisneyland.
That is my overall impressionbecause it's definitely geared
towards a different type ofDisney fan than what we think of
some of these other things.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
What was your favorite exhibit?

Speaker 1 (10:23):
I have, that's kind of a hard question.
I will say everyone wouldprobably gravitate towards, they
have in one of the final rooms, they have a big display where it
looks like a model of Disneylandbut if you look closely, it's
not Disneyland at any point intime, it's Disneyland from a 10

(10:44):
year period basically thatperiod from when it was built
until Walt passed away and allof the different attractions
that encompassed it, it wasprobably the size of, I mean I
would think it was maybe 10 by15 feet.
And so it was very, very largeand because my friend and I when
we first approached it, we werelooking and go, well where's

(11:05):
this attraction or why is thatattraction there?
And then when you found out thatit was really everything that
encompassed that time that Waltwas alive and the park existed,
that was kind of a cool thing tosee.
I will say just on a likeheartstrings kind of level, they
had one of the benches that hesat on when he would watch his
daughters at the Carousel.

(11:26):
So that was really cool and youcould sit on it and you could
get your picture on it.
I also thought, and it broughttears they had at the end of the
exhibit, at the end of themuseum, they had lots of things
from when Walt passed away, thememos that were written to
employees.
They had things that appeared innewspapers across the world and

(11:50):
in other publications and thatwas was very moving as well.
And then they had little thingsthat I thought were cool.
They had the flag from World WarI that flew over the canteen in
France that he used to go to.
So those are kind of some of myfavorite things.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Wonderful.
Would you recommend going back?

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Yes, I would definitely go back.
Number one, I would've loved tohave saw the special exhibit so
I could have just went back justto go see that.
So you could have a second daythere for sure.
I would say that if you'rereally into Disney in that level
that I've talked about, youshould probably plan two days
there.
I think spending an all daymarathon of reading things would

(12:35):
be intense and the locationgives you a chance.
I mean they have like a cafethat's open part of the time in
that, but it's not like in theheart of San Francisco, it's a
little bit removed from thedowntown area.
So if you were staying indowntown San Francisco and you
could go one day, spend a day atthe museum and then go back the
next day and go to the specialexhibit, I think that would be a

(12:57):
great experience.
And I could see myself goingback again a few years down the
road to be able to see things ina new light.
Just okay like my friend and herdad did because they had been
there before and they were happyto go back and I think both of
them would say they would goback even again down the road.
So it's definitely somethingthat I don't think is a one and

(13:19):
done, at least not for someonelike myself.
And I'm sure for others whoenjoy going and learning about
historical things, I meanthere's museums that I've been
to more than once and there'ssome museums that I've only been
one time, this is one that Iwould be willing to go back to
again.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Awesome.
And again, you know youmentioned it's not right in the
city, I seen some photos, itlooks like it's pretty close to
the, what's that bridge called?

Speaker 1 (13:47):
The Golden

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Gate Bridge.
The Golden Gate Bridge.
I was trying to think of all thebridges.
Um, and you had mentioned also, you know, your family connection
in regards to, you know, how wasthe parking like, I mean where,
you know, how far was it off thefreeway?
Tell us a little more aboutthat.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
So you do have to get, you have to take one of the
bridges into the city if you'renot already staying there.
And then we went through all ofthe city, like you go through,
we went through Chinatown, thefinancial district.
You go through some of theresidential areas and it's in a
place called the Presidio, whichused to be the military base.
So as you drive onto the base,it's gated and these are all

(14:24):
former government buildings andnow people live in these
buildings and rent thesebuildings.
Um, from what I understand, youcan have long-term leases but
because it's part of thenational park, you can't
actually own them.
So once you enter into thePresidio and you start driving
to the museum, it's maybe fouror five blocks once you, I don't
wanna use the word compound, butit's kind of like that because

(14:45):
it's the former military base.
So it's very separate from therest of the city.
So in the city you, you have theskyscrapers and the, I don't
know, are they row houses in SanFrancisco you see'em and then as
soon as you get on this areait's much different look and
there's large grassy areas.
The nice thing is the parking isvery easy.

(15:06):
There's street parking right infront of it.
I believe they had a bigger lotin the back but it was Sunday
afternoon, we had no problemparking literally right in front
of the building.
It was pouring rain and wedidn't get super wet cuz we were
able to run white in thebuilding.
And there's a big grassy areaout front which is where um, the
military would do their lineups.

(15:27):
So you actually walk over tothat and straight across is a
building that's the NationalPark Visitor's Office, which is
kind of fun.
We do do a lot of travel besidesDisney.
Shocker.
Yes.
And we like to go to NationalPark.
So we have like our nationalpark passport and I was able to
go in there and get the stampsand literally at the end of the
row of buildings, I thinkthere's four or five buildings

(15:49):
you look across in the GoldenGate Bridge is right there.
So you can get pictures ofyourself with the Golden Gate
Bridge and that national parkoffice actually is where you get
the stamps to say that youvented the Golden Gate Bridge
National Park.
So you are right there and whenwe left we were able to leave
and you can go where you exitthe city going on the Golden

(16:12):
Gate Bridge and then there's anice viewing area right once you
get over the bridge where youcan look back and you can see
Alcatraz and you can see thebuildings where the Walt Disney
Museum are.
So really you kind of get a lotof history that's not even
Disney while you're there aswell.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
That's wonderful.
And I, I you know the greatthing is is that you know, she
Vanessa had a chance to go outto California to see a friend
and it's just one of thosethings I'm so happy that she had
the opportunity to see somethingshe's wanted to see for a very
long time.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Yes and I definitely think that a lot of you that
listen to the podcast, you wouldenjoy it just as much as me.
It's something that you wouldwanna go to and wanna check out.
It's worth taking that side tripto San Francisco.
I know I was glad to have myfriend's father drive us cuz he,
he's lived in the city, he knewhis way around but I think if

(17:00):
you were there, the area nearthe museum is pretty easy to
navigate.
It's just getting through townitself.
That could probably beoverwhelming if you've never
visited.
But if you had taken um, if youhad taken transit and were
staying in the city, I think youcould get there your best bet.
I know they said public transitdoesn't go very well into the
Presidio.

(17:20):
You'd probably have to take aLyft or something to get there
but you could easily access thator if you had a rental car you
could drive right up to it.
It's not hard to access it allbut overall I highly recommend
it.
It's always nice when we get togo check out something that's
Disney but it's not one of theparks and we hope that all of
you get a chance to check it outone day as well.

(17:42):
And if you have any questionsI'll share a lot of photos from
my experience.
I took some videos I wanna shareas well.
I'm really looking forward tohearing maybe some of you who've
already been or some of you thathave been wanting to go, maybe
this will be that push to getyou to go and make that that
experience come true foryourself as well.

(18:02):
So now we are looking forward tosharing our interview with
Leslie and helping you plan yournext Disney vacation.
And she also plans othervacations too so maybe she can
help you plan a trip to SanFrancisco

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Again.
So happy you had a chance to goVanessa and thank you for
sharing your story.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Thank you for listening.
We'd like to welcome Leslie tothe show.
She is with Dream Creators andshe can help you all your travel
planning needs, whether you'regonna Disney or other places.
She of course like all of usloves all things Disney and she
has been, her day job has beenworking in an animal hospital so

(18:38):
she also is an animal.
We as well from welcome show

Speaker 3 (18:48):
You guys

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Now we always have to start asking something about
what you enjoy at the parks.
So right now we just startedasking what is your favorite
event at any Disney park

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Is I'm gonna stick with and wine festival at cause
is hands down my favorite parkand I just love food and like
try the different things fromaround countries, different pav,

(19:24):
a little taste of other culturesthat's just a little above and
beyond the regular experience.
Although you see all the stuffat Festival Arts this year.
If I would've made it there itmight gave it a run for my money
.
Yeah it so great this year Idefinitely on bucket list flower
garden I haven't to.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
And

Speaker 3 (19:50):
What are the services

Speaker 1 (19:51):
You offer connected to Disney?

Speaker 3 (19:54):
So I can pretty much help you with anything as much
or as little as you want.
Um, it's such a great for peoplewho get overwhelmed so hopeless
on your Disney trip.
I can help you do.
Um, and the best part about it,you can use my knowledge little

(20:18):
or much as you want you, youwanna somebody use extra hands
to keep an eye for diningreservations opening up cause
you missed what you wanted fordining, anything like that.

(20:40):
Um, nice thing starting out onInstagram small shops to prepare
for your trip.
I can give you a list of vendors.
I have vendors that are inOrlando.
If you're send a package,special event all

Speaker 2 (21:06):
What, what inspired you to start your business?

Speaker 3 (21:08):
So obviously I just love and adore all things Disney
and what really I had thoughtabout it for a while just
watching all the Instagramstories of everyone thinking I
have so much knowledge thatcould be going to better use
right?
And helping people plan theirtrips.
Um, and we actually took ourdaughter for our first family
trip this past October.

(21:30):
Oh yeah.
And so I used a friend who was atravel planner, um, and kind of
just used her as like my backuphelp.
So we both tried to snag diningfor some of the tough dining
spots.
Um, when we set up alerts tosnag reservations we missed,
there was two of us so it was alittle bit easier and gave us
extra hands on deck while I didmost of the day-to-day planning.

(21:52):
Um, so after our trip when Icame back I just really had that
feeling in the back of my headlike you should just jump in and
do this.
So after a couple months ofresearching some different
agencies and talking to myhusband, I decided this might be
the way I get back to Disneymore frequently while sharing
the magic with other families.
And I'm so excited that Ifinally took the plunge.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
That is so awesome.
And you kind of started to touchon it already, but how do you
think your services can addmagic to your customers lives?

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Um, well the first thing is just Disney is
overwhelming and it's for a lotof people it's you know, a
really big expense and it getsoverwhelming because you're
worried about making it perfect.
So I think just having thatextra support, especially
somebody who spends all of theirfree time watching the different
YouTube videos and reading allthe updates from the Disney

(22:48):
parks, somebody who has thatinside knowledge can just be so
helpful and kind of give you thebest tips and pointers that you
might need if you haven't beenbefore.
And it just alleviates a lot ofthe stress that comes with
planning so that hopefullyyou're able to actually relax
and enjoy your trip.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Well and I find too, even as somebody who's gone a
lot of times just being able tohave my travel planner who's
able to make those reservations, keep an eye on the discounts,
make those calls we like, we hada Disney cruise last summer and
our travel planner was able tocall when there was cancelations
from Covid cuz it was in Alaskancruise when we needed to look

(23:26):
when the new discounts we cameavailable.
And that's so helpful for evenseasoned travelers as well.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Absolutely.
Not having to sit on hold withDisney for god knows how long
Yes their, theirhold lines are notoriously long
and having somebody to do thatfor you so you are not having to
waste your day is a huge plus.
Not to mention that we're alwayslooking for the best deal for
our clients.
So anytime discounts aredropping, we are already in line

(23:54):
in the queue to try to get ourclients the best deals applied
to their packages.
And that's the nice that you canbook ahead with a travel planner
and they're constantlymonitoring all those things for
you so you don't have to worryabout, oh there's a promotion,
do I qualify?
Your planner will have you ontheir list, they will know what
you qualify for andautomatically be trying to find

(24:14):
you the best deal.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
I know some of our season Disney travelers who are
listeners would know this, butwhat is the cost for your
service?

Speaker 3 (24:23):
My cost is entirely free to you to use.
Um, we get paid directly fromour vendors so your price with
us is the, even if it's the sameprice that you might find, you
are then getting our skills forfree because you don't have to
pay an extra dime.
It's already factored in.
And that goes for other vendorsas too, not just Disney.
If you're looking to use yourtravel planner that helped with

(24:45):
your Disney trip on a differenttrip down the road, all the
vendors pay directly to theplanners.
You are not paying an extradime.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
And I think too often people don't realize that and
that's why it's always so greatto hear from planners like you
because it can let peoplerealize that you can give all
this help and it's not costingthem anything, which is awesome.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Exactly.
And that's one of the nicethings that we always tell
people, you know, we can helpyou as much or as little as
you're wanting if you wanna takethe reins and just use us here
and there for things that youdon't quite understand or know,
it doesn't make you feel likeyou're losing out because your,
your cost is the same no matterwhat.
And meanwhile you're getting agrape bargain.
If you want somebody to doeverything for you start to
finish, you're gonna not have topay a dime for all of that extra

(25:27):
help.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
No, you just mentioned help, you know, what
are some of the common themesthat clients who come to you
after trying to maybe plan theirown vacation, what are some of
those mistakes that people whowanna do it all make?

Speaker 3 (25:40):
I think that um, really just planning your day to
day and not necessarily knowinghow, you know, the hours of the
parks, what days are things.
You know, when we planned ourtrip, that was one of the things
that my agent helped me with somuch was um, we were there
during Halloween season so, andI had been to Disney a lot

(26:01):
growing up but not as an adult.
So I never had done the planningprocess myself.
And um, you know, we didn'trealize parks closed early
certain days for parties andafter hours events and just
having um, somebody that canhelp you realize all the ins and
outs.
Um, I've had people, I thinkdining reservations are the

(26:22):
other biggest thing that peopleappreciate because those dining
reservations are competitive.
Yes, yes.
.
The minute that window opens youhave to go in with a plan and
that's something, you know, thatwe go through training and learn
what days to shoot for whatreservations and can kind of
help you organize your time, sit, you know, with your park days

(26:44):
if there's dining that youreally wanna have, we can kind
of suggest what days might bethe best to get that.
And if you don't get it, wehave, you know, different alerts
we can set up with companies totry to get you that after the
fact.
We're canceling dining whileyou're there.
When you're busy in the parksand you have a snafu come up and
you need that help.
You're not having to take awayfrom your park day.

(27:04):
You have somebody you know who'son hold for you that can cancel
your dining reservation ifsomebody is sick and you don't,
you know, you're dealing withwhatever needs to be dealt with
or you don't wanna park hop andyou had a reservation for
somewhere, you know, we can helpyou do all of that so you're not
having to take away from yourmagical day that you should be
enjoying.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Now you've talked so much about Disney World of
course, but where are some ofthe other places that you can
book travel for?

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Um, so Disney Cruise Line is really popular right now
and we can help you with all ofthat.
I have booked two Disney cruisesin the last few weeks for
travelers.
Um, Disney Alani Resort isalways a big Disney draw and you
know, they do have Disney andVero Beach and Hilton had,
there's so many Disneyproperties that people aren't

(27:55):
even necessarily aware of thatwe can help you incorporate a
little bit of magic into someother travels.
And they also have destinationsby Disney where you can go
anywhere in the world with thatDisney quality, um, tours of
anywhere.
And it's awesome because whilethey're not Disney focused, they
have all of the attention todetail and other important

(28:16):
things that people value withDisney.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Are any of those trips on your bucket list?

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Oh my goodness, my bucket list is growing daily
, right, that's true.
Um, definitely I would love togo on a Disney cruise.
Um, I think cruises are just areally good bang for your buck
in general, but then when youadd the Disney Magic and
characters you're getting totravel and see some different
places all while having theDisney Magic right at the, you
know, right on the ship I thinkis so cool.

(28:44):
And Disney Elani Resort is highon my list.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
, we did uh, Disney Alaskan Cruise last
August and Chris swears it's thebest vacation we've ever been
on.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
I think that if I was gonna talk my husband into a
Disney cruise, it would probablybe easiest to get him on a
Disney cruise if we were goingto Alaska

Speaker 1 (29:02):
.
Yes, you definitely need to doit

Speaker 3 (29:04):
One day for sure.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Now for the people who wanna have the best possible
trip, where can they go onlineto find out more about what you
do?

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Um, I do have my Instagram page, which is not
strictly travel planning butkind of all things Disney in
general.
Um, and that's Leslie throughthe Looking Glass.
And then my travel page is onFacebook and that's Dream
Creators less l e s.
Um, and you can also find myemail links on both of those
things as well.

(29:31):
And send me an email and we canget to planning your vacation.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Thank you so much for joining us today, Leslie.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Oh my goodness.
Thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Thank you again to Leslie from Dream Creators.
Les,

Speaker 1 (29:45):
We really appreciate her joining us today.
And now we are onto our twominute trivia and our wisdom
from Walt quote.
And Chris, you are up withtrivia.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Thank you.
If I remember from yourinterview you had mentioned that
you like to read all of thoselittle tiles that explained
about the exhibits.
So I'm gonna ask you a questionthat if you would've read those
little tiles you would know.
Okay, so Walt Disney married hiswife Lillian.
Yes.
And he was married to the day hedied.
Where were they married?

Speaker 1 (30:16):
This is hard cuz they lived in a lot of places.
I'm gonna guess Illinois, but Ifeel like that's wrong.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
You are correct.
That is wrong.
.
I I will give you this though.
It does start with an I I don'tthink the state.
So I'll give you one point forthe state and I'll give you a
million points for the city andthe way you're going.
You're gonna get one point.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
I'm figuring it was not Indiana cuz I don't remember
them sending any points.
Correct.
In Indiana and I don't rememberthem being in Iowa

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Either.
Correct.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
What other state is there besides Indiana?
Iowa and Illinois?

Speaker 2 (30:51):
Think out West

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Idaho?
Yes.
Oh she's from Idaho.
Yes she is.
Yes, yes, yes.
Cuz I remember reading about herfamily.
Yes, she's from Idaho and Iremember reading about that but
I don't remember what citythey're from.
I read thousands of things whenI was at

Speaker 2 (31:07):
The museum.
Well you didn't read this.
So it was Lewiston, Idaho.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
And his parents did not attend the wedding, which I
can understand from Marcine.
Yeah.
Missouri all the way to Lewiston, Idaho.
And she was given away by her,if I remember correctly, her
brother who was a fireman or thefire chief.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
That's very interesting.
Yeah.
Now when you said Idaho, Iremember reading stuff about her
family Yes.
In Idaho cuz they did about herfamily and

Speaker 2 (31:34):
His family and they were married in the Episcopal
church.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
I did remember that.
Because your family wasEpiscopal.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Yes, correct.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Yes.
Very interesting.
So see, I'm sure that was on oneof the plaques that I read or
missed reading because they hadso much information.
So now we're gonna end with ourwisdom from Walt quote.
And I'm sure I've already donethis one before, but when you go
to the Disney Family Museumwebsite, they have it all over
the place.
And I think it's just fitting to, as we're talking about that

(32:02):
it's kind of fun to do theimpossible and isn't he one of
the few people I thinkthroughout history that's really
went done so many impossiblethings.
It's so awesome to learn moreabout him.
I'm glad I got to share myexperiences with all of you.
So thank you so much for joiningus on this episode of the Dis
Love podcast with Vanessa andChris.

(32:23):
I'm Vanessa.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
And I'm Chris.
