They hooked up Vanessa and I upwith a beautiful brand new

(01:15):
stroller for Keras.
We were able to wheel heraround the park.
The chassis was so free.
It made pushing her so easy and, of course, you know you had to
do a couple of those where youlean them back when they're not
expecting it.
It made it really fun.
And again, eric and Alexa, theydo a couple of things Number one
awesome customer service.
Number two, excellent value foryour money.
And number three, they're goodpeople and I think that trifecta
makes it a perfect reason.

(01:36):
If you're planning it, would itbe a crib, a stroller or any
other thing that will make you acar seat, anything to make your
life easier as a parent?
Eric and Alexa and Babyquip canhook you up.

I know the next time we go toFlorida we will be making a

Vanessa Ferguson (01:54):
Yes.
So thank you for that message,Kris.
And on today's episode we aregoing to be joined by Julie from
Mommin' with a Mouse.
She makes all kinds of supercute accessories, including
jewelry and her specialty,Mickey sunglasses, which we'll
hear all about those.
But before we hear from her,we're going to talk about some

(02:15):
of the best attractions to beatthe heat.
Now, when we were interviewingher, we talked about her great
sunglasses, which got methinking about the Florida sun
and the last trip we were on inDecember.
It was quite toasty.
So I was wanted to talk aboutsome of those places that are
the best places to beat the heat, but they're also good if it's

(02:36):
raining as well.
So we're going to start offwith Magic Kingdom, and I will
say there are places in each ofthe lands here which makes it
all nice.
And one nice thing most ofthese are ones that people of
all ages can go to as well.
So when you start off, I'mgoing to just start over in
Tomorrowland.
I think one that's always fun, which we enjoy a lot, is Buzz

(03:00):
Lightyear, Space Ranger Spin.

Kris Johns (03:02):
Definitely.

Vanessa Ferguson (03:03):
And that is, of course, super great for
cooling down.
It's all AC, and once you'reinside, a big portion of that
queue is inside, so you're inthe AC for that as well, which
is nice, and of course it givesyou a chance to be a little
competitive.
Kris always beats me Most thetime.
Yes, I don't think I've everbeat him, but that's very nice

(03:25):
of you.
So Buzz Lightyear is a greatplace to get started.
Now, some of our otherfavorites over there aren't so
cool.
We love to go on PeopleMover, but again, you're not going to
get that great cooling offexperience.
Another thing over by there isthe Carousel of Progress, and I
love to go in there because Ijust love the show, I love the

(03:46):
history, everything related toWalt Disney.
But, Kris, I would say you likegoing in there for cooling off?

Kris Johns (03:52):
Oh, definitely, it's just a great.
Too many times you're at thatpoint in the day, you're a
little sweaty and it's a greatplace to cool down.

Vanessa Ferguson (03:59):
And if you have any little ones, it's long
enough.
They could take a quick nap aswell in that AC, which is always
great, and of course that's agreat show as well.
Now, when you're over inTomorrowland, there's also
things like Space Mountain andwhen you are in part of the line
for Tron, part of that's inside.
But let's be honest, if you'retrying, if you're really hot and

(04:20):
you want to get out of the getinto the air quickly, you want
to get on something thathopefully you can get on rather
quickly.
Now, moving over to when youmove over to Liberty Square,
there are, of course I skippedover Fantasyland, but we'll get
back there over in LibertySquare.
Haunted Mansion is one of thoseclassic ones.
I don't know if it feels coolerin there because it's dark, but

(04:43):
I always feel like HauntedMansion feels extra cold when
you're in there.

Kris Johns (04:47):
Definitely.

Vanessa Ferguson (04:48):
Yeah, so Haunted Mansion is one AC, of
course, and I think with thedarkness in there it just adds
that other element.
Now, when you're also overthere, you have Hall of
Presidents as well.
Now, I know that's noteverybody's cup of tea, but I
enjoy going to watch the Hall ofPresidents and it is a longer
show, which is always an addedbenefit.

(05:09):
And I will say I don't think inthat one, but there's been a
few shows you've taken some napsin Probably anything where it's
dark, I'm sleeping.
So Kris could also recommendthese as great nap places as
well.
So you have Haunted Mansion andthen backtracking a little bit
because I did skip overFantasyland.
I've heard a lot of people talkabout it's a small world, but

(05:30):
in my opinion I don't think thisis a great place to beat the
heat, because you are goingthrough a pretty hot queue,
because I feel like that queuefor things like it's a small
world, Peter Pan, all of thoseyou just feel really jammed
together and I feel like there'sno airflow in those areas.
So I would cut those off.
I would not count those, Iagree.

(05:51):
Now the one place I would countin Fantasyland is Mickey's
Philharmagic.
That I think it's still a fun4D concert.
I know our daughter enjoys it,I enjoy it, and there is a big
portion of that cue which istotally inside and then of
course, the show is all inside.
So that's a great way to beatthe heat and I think when you're

(06:14):
in Fantasyland, if you've spenta long time in line for, let's
say, for Peter Pan's flight ormaybe even it's a small world,
you're already getting hot and alittle irritated.
So that's a perfect place to goand it gives you a chance to
cool off for a bit.
Now, as you kind of move alittle bit further into
Fantasyland, you can go to theunder the sea journey of the

(06:37):
little mermaid and I think thisis great, the way part of that
cue is outside, but I think theway the cover is and even like
if you go over to the meet andgreet for Ariel I've stood in
that line with our daughter andit was a pretty warm day in your
shaded quite a bit and you'reaway from that direct sunlight.
So both of those lines aregreat places to rest.

(06:58):
And then, of course, the rideitself, and I think this is
another one.
Because it's those big openareas, I feel like they tend to
pump the AC a little bit better.
So under the sea the littlemermaid ride is a great place to
cool off and that kind ofrounds out what I would count in
that area.
Now you can go, of course, tothe back where you have over by

(07:21):
the Dumbo ride you can dothere's this is an inside one.
I would consider a water area aplace to cool off.

Kris Johns (07:30):
Definitely.

Vanessa Ferguson (07:30):
So you have Casey's Junior Splash and Soak
Station, and this is over by theDumbo ride.
So if you've waited in Dumbo'sline for a long time and your
little ones or maybe even youwant to cool off a little bit
and it's a very hot day you dohave the water station back, the
Splash station back there, sothat's always a nice thing.
Now, coming towards the frontof the park, you have we already

(07:54):
talked about Hall of Presidentsand that is you're circling
back towards Adventureland.
Right now it's closed, but it'sstill gonna be in its same
iteration in terms of the space, and all of that is Country Bear
Jamboree.
So Country Bear Jamboree is agreat place to cool off as well,
and that will be revised, butit's still gonna be a nice place

(08:16):
.
As you move towards the front ofthe park, you have an
Adventureland.
I think Pirates is probably thebest place, though, oh for sure
.
Yeah, cause even if you're in alonger line, the line is in the
darkened area.
The ride itself with the water.
I think it just is a lot coolerthan anywhere else.
So Pirates of the Caribbean isanother great place to cool off.

(08:39):
And then, of course, in the areaas well, you have the Enchanted
Tiki Room.
That line is outside, but assoon as you get in the room,
you're there to be able to sitdown for a good period of time
and cool off.
And again, you're just wantingto get out of that Florida heat,
whether it's the sun, from theheat of the day or just a warm,

(08:59):
humid day.
These are all some great places.
Now there's, of course I'veheard people say well, I go in
the shops or I go in some of theareas on Main Street or
different things.
Yes, those are all options, butthese are places that most of
them you get a chance to sitdown as well as escaping from
the heat.
So those are all of our toppicks for Magic Kingdom.
Now we're gonna move over toHollywood Studios and at

(09:25):
Hollywood Studios I think one ofKris' favorite shows in all of
Disney parks is there.
That is a great place to cooloff.
Please remind me.

Kris Johns (09:35):
Frozen, of course.

Vanessa Ferguson (09:36):
Yeah, the Frozen Singalong.
So that is a great place.
That theater is always cool.
There you go.
Of course there's even snow atone point in the show, so you
know it's kind of a fun thing, definitely a great way to cool
off.
And then of course I've hadpeople say well, you know, when
you wait in line for likeMillennium Falcon or Rise of the

(09:59):
Resistance, those are someplaces that are cool, places you
can cool off, and even Mickey'sRunaway Railway, but I'm
thinking of places that you cansit down for extended periods.
So for me I would say MuppetVision 3D, that's a big theater.
The area that you're waitingfor the ride is, or for the show
is all enclosed, all in AC,another great place to escape

(10:22):
the heat.
And if you are further back inthe park and maybe you've just
left the area with Star Wars andthat it's right near that area,
so that's a great place.
And then of course you have, ifyou're, in, toy Story Land,
that's a hot area.
I feel like it's just likeeverything, All that plastic.

Kris Johns (10:39):
it shines, it reflects the sun.

Vanessa Ferguson (10:42):
The food places.
Except for, like, the new sitdown, everything's outside.
It's very warm, but there isone respite from the heat and
that's Toy Story Mania.
Once you get through the intothe big part of the queue,
you're going to be in the AC formost of the queue, the ride
itself.
I think that's another greatplace to cool off because you're
already going to be pretty warmfrom enjoying the rest of Toy

(11:06):
Story Land.
So that's a great place to cooloff is Toy Story Mania and
again, there's some other placesat Hollywood Studios.
But I would say these are kindof our top picks for places to
sit down and cool off.
Now, moving over to EPCOT.
I always struggle now withEPCOT because you have
international gateway wherepeople are coming in from the
skyliner in the front.

(11:27):
So I don't really know.
I mean, I know spaceship earthis technically the front, but
I'm going to start at the backbecause I'm going to start with
the place that's near and dearto us.
Where is a great place to cooloff?
In the World Showcase.

Kris Johns (11:40):
Oh, that the DVC Lounge.

Vanessa Ferguson (11:43):
Oh, that's a good point, but I was actually
going to say where we gotmarried.
I never would have thought thatthe American Adventure that, of
course, is a patriotic show.
If you've not seen it, I'mreally into history and
political stuff, so I love it.
It's the history and music andeverything about our country's
history, so it's a great placeto go.

(12:03):
But it's also a pretty longshow and it's a huge theater, so
you don't have to wait.
You can usually always get inand sit down and cool off.
It's a great place to do that.
Now, throughout the WorldShowcase, there are a lot of
other shows that you can go inand enjoy and get some respite
from the heat.
And if you're walking in EPCOTI think a lot of people don't

(12:24):
realize how big EPCOT is and youdo a lot of walking compared to
some of the other parks oh, alot.
So there's places like in Canada.
They have the Canada Far andWide show that you can watch and
then there are some rides thatare throughout.
I would say I've had somepeople talk about Frozen, but
often a lot of that line can beoutside before you get to the

(12:46):
main part of the line.
So I personally would pickGrand Fiesta Tour with the three
Caballeros in Mexico because, number one, you're already going
to be in that pavilion, which Ifeel like.
That pavilion is a little bitcooler and if you've been
walking in future world andyou're finally made it to World
Showcase, it's a great place togo in.
You can get in line and kind ofrelax.

(13:07):
That is also a nice place tocool down and that kind of
circles out, the main ones thatI would say in the World
Showcase.
Of course you can go into any ofthe buildings.
There's the shops andrestaurants and all of that, but
these are just kind of thoseattractions where you get a
chance to experience somethingas well as cooling off.

(13:28):
Now, when you go to the frontof the park you also have, of
course, over in the imagination.
Pavilion.
Figment usually doesn't have along line or if it does, you're
all inside it's all AC, and thenthere's the fun interactive
area at the end, and Krisbrought up about the DVC lounge.
So if you are a DVC member, that's a great place to go up

(13:48):
and cool off.
The one time I was on a tourwith my parents and you and our
Carys went up to the lounge tocool off.

Kris Johns (13:56):
Yes, we did.

Vanessa Ferguson (13:58):
And so that's a great place if you do have DVC
or if you're there with a DVCfriend that you can go up to.
Another one in that area isliving with the land, because
that entire line is inside.
The boat ride is nice and cooland that's also a nice little
bit longer, relaxing ride thatyou can enjoy and cool off.

(14:19):
Of course, and most of therides in Epcot have an indoor
queue.
So when you look at the bigmajority of the line for mission
space, ratatouille, the seaswith Nemo all of these are
inside lines, but I would saythe ones that I think that give
you the chance to really cooloff the most would also be

(14:42):
soaring around the world.
So soaring has that's also inthe land.
Again, everything's inside theline, the ride.
So you're definitely going toget a chance to cool off and
then, if you want a snack orsomething, you're right there by
the Sunshine Seasons Cafe soyou can get a chance to have a
snack.
Now Spaceship Earth the line, unfortunately, is outside, but

(15:05):
the ride itself is a good lengthof time and I find that that's
a great place to cool off too.
So, depending on whichdirection you're going, if
you're starting off the day inthe front, or, if you were at,
came in through the world, through the skyliner at the back
at International Gateway, andyou're already hot and sweaty
sitting down at Spaceship Earth.
I think that's a nice relaxingone too, definitely.

(15:27):
So that rounds up everything atEpcot.
Now let's move over to AnimalKingdom.
So, as our last park, they dostill have some good places to
cool off, and I will say AnimalKingdom is the hottest park.
I feel like all that vegetationjust makes it, if you're there
on a hot day, very steamy.

(15:47):
Yes, you are going to be hot allday long no matter what you do,
so hopefully this gives yousome ideas of some places where
you can get a break.
Now, at the front of the parkyou have it's tough to be a bunk
, and that, of course, is in theTree of Life.
The Q is not cooled off, butgoing into the ride or into the
show and you're in the darknesswith the glasses and I feel like

(16:11):
that's a nice way to kind ofcool off, especially for kids.
It's a short show, gives you achance to cool off long enough
before you go back out to theheat, but it's not long enough
where you're going to probablyfall asleep for a nap.
I don't think.

Kris Johns (16:25):
No.

Vanessa Ferguson (16:26):
So tough to be a bug.
Now, if you want to show thatis longer, that you're
definitely going to have plentyof time to cool off.
That would be Festival of theLion King, and of course, this
is a Broadway level show.
We love the show, we love thevenue.
We just went to our French andShane and Charlie's Vow renewal
reception there.
We love everything about LionKing and of course, it's in the

(16:50):
AC and it's a great way to cooloff, so that is another one of
our top picks.
Now, when you move further backinto the park, if you take the
train and you go to do theanimation experience at
Conservation Station, this is agreat way.
Not only are you in an ACbuilding, a totally air

(17:11):
conditioned building, but youalso get a chance to learn how
to draw something in a different.
Usually they have a differentcharacter featured every day.
We've done this a few times.
It's been a while since we'vebeen, but Conservation Station
is neat to see some of the workthey're doing with the animals,
as well as having a chance tocool off, which is what we're
all wanting to do if you'rehaving a very hot day at Animal

(17:33):
Kingdom.
Now one of the things that youmight like and we are not people
that like to do water rides youcan head over to Kala River
Rapids and I don't know, haveyou really done any of the water
rides at Disney?

Kris Johns (17:47):
No, I do not like water rides, only meet.
You could have made me get meon one, but other than that, I'm
a big boy and I say no.

Vanessa Ferguson (17:56):
But if you are not like Kris and you say, yes,
this is a great one to cool offbecause you will get wet, now I
would suggest probably doing iteither towards the end of the
day or if you have some thingsto change into, but definitely a
good way to cool off at a verysteamy park for sure.
Now there are, of course, otherindoor attractions, like if

(18:19):
you're in line for a flight ofpassage.
Most of Navi River Journey'sline is inside, but the majority
of those are still a littlesteamy.
So those are some ones that Iwould focus on.
I will say Dinosaur is one thatis definitely inside and that
one you can cool off becausebetween the line and the

(18:40):
pre-show and then going to theactual attraction, that is not
too bad of one to check out aswell.
So hopefully, when you're thereon a hot summer day or maybe
one of those unseasonably warmdays in Florida, you can get a
chance to cool off and if you'relike us with our Midwest blood,
we need a break from that heatand you can check out all of

(19:01):
these attractions.
I like to thank our friendsover at Undercover Tourist.
They have a great list.
I will say I kind of tweaked itbased on what we personally
prefer, but definitely check itout.
I'll put the link to their listin our show notes and then give
us just a minute.
Get our call up with Julie.
We would like to welcome Julieto the show.

(19:21):
Her shop Mommin' with a Mouseis really designed for all those
Disney fashionistas.
She has all kinds of greatjewelry, sunglasses lots of
awesome things.
She's a Walt Disney WorldAnnual Passholder.
She's a mom of three, she worksin account management and
client training for a softwarecompany and we are super excited
to have Julie on the show.

(19:42):
Welcome.

Julie Foley (19:43):
Thank you so much.
It's great to be here.

Vanessa Ferguson (19:46):
Now we always start out with a question,
asking people a little bit aboutwhat they enjoy at the Disney
parks, and right now we havebeen asking people what is your
favorite event at any Disneypark?

Julie Foley (19:59):
Oh my gosh, that's such a great question because I
just got back my favorite Disneyevent of the year oh nice, and
it is Run Disney PrincessWeekend Yoga Sunrise Yoga in
front of Cinderella's Castle.
It's the second year I've doneit.
It always falls around mybirthday and so it's like my

(20:19):
yearly birthday present tomyself, and I did it last year
alone and made friends and Ivowed I'm going to do it with
actual friends the next year.
So it just got back.
It was on Monday morning.
I did it with a few girlfriends, friends that I had made on
Instagram, disney Instagramfriends that I don't know in

(20:39):
real life, but I have metmultiple times at the parks when
our trips line up, and we didit together.
That is the best event.
It is so special.
It's only a few hundred peopleWow.
It's literally in the middle ofthe night, like you get up at
2am to go, but I promise it'sworth it.
It starts at 5.30 in themorning and by the time you are

(21:00):
done, the sun is rising behindthe castle as you're finishing
your yoga practice, which isjust so special.
So that has to be for sure, myfavorite because it's so few
people.
Run Disney is really fun whenyou do Run Disney, but thousands
, like tens of thousands ofpeople and like the Christmas
party is fun, but you know it'sjust a lot of people and it's a

(21:22):
lot of crowd.
Yeah, this is where you are, literally in Magic Kingdom, in
front of Cinderella's Castle.
It is completely quiet, there'snot a sound.
You can hear the fountains allthe way back in front of Casey's
Corner, from the front of thepark.
I'm in front of the partnerstatue.
I'm looking at Cinderella.
She's like greeting us and wedo.
You know, a 45 minute yogapractice.

(21:43):
Just, everyone is so still andthere's only like a couple
hundred of us there.
I mean, it's so special.
So that definitely is myfavorite event.

Vanessa Ferguson (21:51):
Wow, that is so awesome.
I know we had a vendor on awhile back that she made special
bracelets for that event and Iwill say yoga kind of has a
special place in my heart.
Our daughters from India solike Namaste, we always like do
a lot of those kind of events.
So that definitely somethingI'm going to have to add to my
list for sure.

Julie Foley (22:08):
You should add it to your list.
Sign up for it.
We did say Namaste at the veryend, Like and it's just you're.
It's not.
You're like, completely like byyourself, almost like.
It's so special.
You never have those kind ofmoments at Magic Kingdom where
you're like one of only 300people.

Vanessa Ferguson (22:27):
That is.
That is so true.
And I know when we got marriedat Disney and we did like a
photo shoot at Magic Kingdom andthere is nothing like being
there when there's so few people, like you're saying.
It's just such a differentexperience.
And to have an event like thatthat you can go and do it on a
annual basis, that's even better.

Julie Foley (22:46):
Highly recommend 10 out of 10.

Vanessa Ferguson (22:50):
Now, of course , the reason we have you on the
show is for you to tell us allabout your business and what are
the products you offerconnected to Disney.

Julie Foley (22:58):
Yeah, absolutely my favorite thing is Mickey shaped
sunglasses, mickey and Minniesunglasses.
I offer those in a bunch ofdifferent colors and I'm do
sparkle versions like fullybeaded, like hand beaded
rhinestone.
Those have been so fun becausethey are so extra.
But that is what my shop is allabout is like just super extra,

(23:20):
like totally like to the, youknow to the max, with your
Mickey stuff.
Like if you're going to go toDisney, you know why not have
the shirt, the ears, you knowthe bracelets, the earrings, the
magic band, you know the socks, the lounge fly, like all of the

(23:41):
things.
And then on top of that, likethese, just over the top, extra
Mickey sunnies in like everycolor of the rainbow and then
sparkly, like it just adds that.
And when you see, like when Isee my customers wearing them
and like they show pictures ofthem in the park and they always
send me notes, like I got somany compliments on people were
like stopping me, you know, onMain Street, like you look so

(24:04):
cute, and I'm like that's it.
That's why I do it, because,like I want people, I want my
customers to get stopped by castmembers or for other guests to
say, oh my God, where did youget that?
That's so cute, you look sogood.
You look so good.
You look so good today.
And that's really my entiregoal is to have people like feel
like they're having fun andfeel cute when they're like at

(24:26):
the parks.

Kris Johns (24:27):
Now that's awesome.
Now you had mentioned aboutjust you having this creativity.
What was that deciding factorto make to create the business?

Julie Foley (24:35):
Yes, so the reason why I created it was during the
pandemic.
It was like the fall of 2020.
And we were going to Disneybecause it had opened back up
here in, you know Florida.
Well, in Florida, in July, andwe went on opening day and I was
wearing the mask the whole time.
You have to wear the mask right, even outside, in July, in

(24:57):
Orlando, which I would notrecommend zero out of 10, like
no stars, but the mask it waslike off, on, off on, because,
like you had to keep taking itoff.
So I created mask chains.
That was the first thing Icreated that's why I created my
shop was mask chains that hadMickey beads and they were, like
you know, rainbow colored andlike pastel rainbows and bright

(25:21):
neon rainbows and Christmas andfun Mickey beads and it was, you
know, to hold when you takeyour mask off.
It would just fall down kind oflike a necklace right, like a
mask chain, but they were Disneymask chains and I made them for
kids and I had them in allthese different things.
So moms and kids, and you knowyou match, and I sold so many of
those and I made a ton of themand people really liked them.

(25:44):
And then, you know, as westarted to get into like, okay,
you don't have to wear them allthe time, okay, now you only
have to put them ontransportation, I was like, hmm,
I need to pivot.
So I started making earrings aswell as mask chains, and so
then I started to do that.
And then a couple of years agoI'm like, or maybe a year and a
half ago, I'm like, oh, now Ireally want to do Mickey

(26:06):
sunglasses.
So it just kind of evolved fromthere, now always thinking of
like new types of earrings andMickey sunnies that I can add to
the shop.
But it started all because ofthe pandemic and us needing to
wear masks at the parks andneeding a cute way to wear your
mask.
Yeah.

Vanessa Ferguson (26:25):
Well, what's ironic is we started our show in
fall of 2019.
So right before the pandemic.
But just seeing the massiveamount of shops like yourself
that just really grew out of anecessity during the pandemic to
kind of evolve and change Sincethen, it's just so neat to see
and to hear stories like yours, because then you're still here

(26:45):
and you're creating really greatstuff for your customers now
still.

Julie Foley (26:49):
Yeah, and I just everything that drives me is
just my customers is just makingpeople feel like they're having
fun and they, you know, theirwhole outfit is put together and
them, you know, just wanting tobe, you know, cute at the parks
, Like that's really all I careabout is them feeling good and

(27:10):
looking cute and like wanting toshare that.
So if I can do that and justbring up that tiny bit of magic
whether it's a pigment earringor a fully bedazzled like super
extra pair of Mickey sunglassesthen job done, Like I feel
really good about that.

Vanessa Ferguson (27:27):
Now you kind of answered the one question
about that.
We always ask about Disneymagic, so you've already touched
on that.
Now I'd like to kind of ask youso you've mentioned like the
sunglasses and some of thejewelry when, like, do you have
custom things, do you have setthings that are in your shop?
Number one and then number two, what is maybe your favorite

(27:47):
product that you have?

Julie Foley (27:48):
I try to customize as much as I can, but I'm always
creating new collections and Icollaborate with Disney artists.
I have a commission.
I have someone, an artist, thatI commission you know her to
create artworks.
I'm trying to support youngartists in that way and so I'm

(28:09):
always trying to do new things.
So I am always trying to takefeedback from my clients of like
, oh, you should do, you know, aWinnie the Pooh collection or
can you do a Toy Storycollection.
And I'm like, yes, but let mecommission that artwork and like
get something really specialthat maybe isn't already out
there that we can do.
Staples for sure are going to belike just a single tassel with

(28:33):
like a sparkly Mickey stud, likethose are like number one
bestseller, except for there islike one single earring in my
shop Like that's the mostpopular, that I've sold the most
of that.
I'm always selling out of that.
I can't keep in stock and itboggles my mind, but maybe it
shouldn't.
People are going to be like, oh, of course, and I'm like I just

(28:55):
really like that's the one, andit's just orange bird studs,
just orange bird's head as astud, just like a simple little,
like half inch.
That earring I just like Ican't keep it in stock.
People buy it constantly andI'm like all right people.
People love orange bird.

(29:16):
I love him, but I just didn'tthink that that many people
loved him.
You know what I?

Vanessa Ferguson (29:20):
mean, yeah, I will say I'm a huge figment fan
and my mom loves orange bird andit's harder to find orange bird
stuff.
So I can see why that probablysells out, because even at the
parks they have orange bird incertain seasons, but like
figment you can find him allyear and it's harder to find
orange bird.

(29:41):
So that's probably where you'regetting sold out.
I and I would have.
Only I only know that becausemy mom loves orange bird.
So, yes, yes.
So it's definitely a thing Ican tell you for sure.

Julie Foley (29:55):
My favorite.
My favorite item in the shop isthe sunglasses.
Like every color I have, I keepa pair in every color for
myself and my daughter, becauseI also do kids.

Vanessa Ferguson (30:07):
Oh, that's what I was going to ask you.
Yes, that's good.
Yes.

Julie Foley (30:10):
I started making them for kids because I was like
my daughter wanted to wear mysonnies but they were just like
giant on her.
They are just like so over thetop and I'm like, oh my gosh, I
can, I can make you up.
Do you want a pair?
And she's like yeah.

Vanessa Ferguson (30:28):
So she's like oh, really Okay.

Julie Foley (30:29):
So this is when she was like four and a half and
she's like I pair.
So now she has a pair in everycolor and then I'll do like
matching ones, you know, so thatyou can do mommy and me
matching.
But I have a lot of parents ofboys that buy just the black
Mickey sunnies.
They love those because it's socute to see like little three
year old, four year old littleboys like with their Mickey

(30:49):
sunnies on, like in front of theEPCOM ball.
I'm like, yes, like anybody canwear these guys out there, like
you can wear Mickey sunglasses, like I have them in lots of
different colors.
So like, don't be afraid to beextra Right, right, not just,
it's not just for the fashion hesays, it's for you know, it's
for all.
It's for all really.

Vanessa Ferguson (31:10):
Now if I wanted to get some of these
awesome sunglasses or earrings, what's like the turnaround time?
So if I had a trip coming up,how early should I order?

Julie Foley (31:18):
Yeah, so my processing time is just five
business days and then I getthem out.
So if you order it on a Friday, then I'll get them out by the
by the following Friday so thatI can process them.
And then the shipping time isjust depending on what service
you pay yeah, so, us PostalService or UPS or Patex or
whatever you choose.
So usually it takes like fourdays for it to get to you like

(31:42):
to ship it to you once I ship itout.
However, you know, if you'vegot a trip coming up, I'm always
, I always try to accommodateand get things out really
quickly.
But five business days is my, ismy processing time and that's
for everything the sunnies andthe earrings, unless they're
bedazzled sunnies and those takea bit longer.

(32:03):
Those do.
And I have pre orders for thefor the rhinestones, sparkle
sunnies, because they do takehours, hours, hours to be to
bead, because I hand beat themand I use like four or five
different size rhinestones forevery single.
So I make them.
Yeah, so it's just it's a lotof, it's a lot of work, but it's

(32:25):
so, so worth it and people lovethem so much.
So I love doing it.

Kris Johns (32:30):
Now, whether it be orange bird or bedazzle bedazzle
sunglasses, where can people goonline to find all the awesome
things you do?

Julie Foley (32:36):
Sure my website mom and with the mousecom or mom
and with a mouse on Etsy.
You can do either one of those.
They're connected.
So whether you use the websitemom and with the mousecom or on
Etsy, it's it goes through thesame system.

Kris Johns (32:53):
And just to confirm for our listeners again mom is
spelled m, o, m.
M I n there, so there's no gthere but mom, and with the
mouse.

Julie Foley (33:00):
That is correct, yes, and I do have that link in
my Instagram bio as well, sothere's a direct link there and
it's the same mom, and with themouse on Instagram threads
tiktok, facebookcom, all of it.

Vanessa Ferguson (33:15):
Perfect, and we will make sure to put all of
those links in the show notes.
And thank you so much, julie, for joining us today.

Julie Foley (33:22):
Yeah, absolutely.
Thank you so much for having me.
I'll make some more orange birdstuff for your mom.

Vanessa Ferguson (33:27):
Thank you so much.

Julie Foley (33:30):
All right, thanks y'all.

Kris Johns (33:32):
Thank you again to Julie for joining us today.

Vanessa Ferguson (33:34):
And now we are on to our two minute trivia and
our wisdom from Walt quote andKris, you are up with trivia?

Kris Johns (33:40):
So we're been talking about really cooling off
, and really you need that.
When it's hot yes, what is thehottest temperature ever
recorded at Disney World?

Vanessa Ferguson (33:51):
Oh, I'm going to go with 106.

Kris Johns (33:57):
No 102.

Julie Foley (33:59):
Wow.

Kris Johns (34:00):
But I would think between the concrete and the
heat index.

Vanessa Ferguson (34:02):
Oh yeah, they would have to feel like 130.

Kris Johns (34:05):
Oh wow, now here's the other question what was the
lowest temperature ever recordedat Disney?

Vanessa Ferguson (34:11):
I'm thinking somewhere in the 20s.
So I'm going to go with 2317.

Kris Johns (34:15):
Wow, and this is from our friends at Disney food
blogcom.
But man, imagine like we werethere in December and it was
warm I mean again, not hot, and,as Vanessa mentioned earlier,
like we're just not heat people.
I mean, I've been to the desertbut you kind of come to expect
it.
But with that holy cow, imaginebeing in that park when it's 95
, let alone 102.

Vanessa Ferguson (34:36):
Yeah, my family used to vacation down
there in the summertime and itwas quite warm.
That's why you and I do notvacation during the summer down
there.
Great, Very interesting.
Now this episode is going upjust a couple of days before
