And thank you to all of youwho've already left reviews and
ratings.
We really appreciate those.
And before we get started withthe main part of our show, Chris
, our friends Eric and Alexahave a message.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
They want to take
care of your baby Not literally,
but they want to make sure thatyour baby is riding in style,
staying in a brand new pack andplay or anything parents need to
enjoy Disney.
One of the worst things ifyou're traveling with young
children is having to lug aroundall the things that young
children need.
The great thing about BabyQuipthat Eric and Alexa provide is
that they're going to give youan excellent experience and
(01:16):
provide brand new equipment thatis ideal for a trip to Disney.
We recently rented a strollerfor our daughter, karis.
It was a top-notch stroller, brand new, easy to maneuver in
the park, one of those thingswhere, if you had to get into
the corral where there's allthose other strollers, it moved
around perfectly and it wasreally awesome.
(01:37):
Karis enjoyed it and it alsohad a lot of space for us to
carry all of the things thatVanessa bought in the park.
So again and this is the messagethat Eric and Alexa want us to
share is your BabyQuipindependent quality provider.
They will provide you withexcellent customer service by
providing clean and usefulequipment to make your vacation
easy.
Want something that they don'thave on their website?
(01:58):
Ask them and they'll do best toaccommodate you.
We've used them for severalrentals and what I love is that
they have awesome staff thatdrop it off to the resort on
time with a smile on their face.
The staff is them, but then Ialso.
What's also wonderful is thatwhen they come to pick it up,
they also have a smile on theirface, because, for you, what I
love about disney is going todisney and at the end of a busy
(02:20):
trip is going home from disney, and they make it awesome.
So again, baby quip and reachout to Eric and Alexa and
they'll take care of you.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
And I will have the
link to their website in the
show notes so you can definitelycheck that out.
And on today's show we're goingto be joined by Claire from
Clarified by Claire, her shopfeatures soaps that are really
for people who enjoy a varietyof fandoms, and we got a chance
to meet Claire and her dad andnot only smell and look at her
(02:51):
display but also bring home someof her amazing soaps when we
met her at the House of MouseExpo.
So we are super excited forthat and Chris Claire has a
message for our listeners aswell.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
She does.
She wants you to use the codeDISLOVE to save 10% off your
next order.
And what was awesome is that wenot only met Claire, but I
purchased two bars of soap bothStar Wars themed for a friend
who really is big into Disneyand also is an awesome Star Wars
fan.
And what Claire has, she hassomething that you want.
Number one the soap smellawesome and there's catered to
(03:26):
so many different fandoms thatthere's going to be something
for somebody that you love.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Yes.
So I will make sure to put thelink to, or I will make sure to
put the code in the show notesso you can save that 10%.
Now, before we hear from Claireand all about her business, we
are going to talk about the bestdate night ideas at Walt Disney
World.
Now I will say there's a coupleof caveats to this.
I kind of left out regulardining because I think we've
(03:53):
done different shows for some ofthose good special occasion
dining experiences, which I'llput the link in the show notes
to those past episodes.
But I thought we would just dosome things that are beyond
dining.
Now, some of these do includefood, but the experience, the
focus is not on food, and someof these are things that are
(04:13):
additional costs.
Others are things that are justpart of your like park
experience as well.
So I'm going to start with onethat I think is fun, and we've
not we've only.
We actually did this as a datenight once for an anniversary,
but we've also done it withfriends and family.
So it doesn't just have to be adate night, but the fireworks
dessert parties at Magic Kingdom.
You get to get a great locationfor viewing of the nighttime
(04:37):
show and you get some greatdesserts as well.
It is over in the TomorrowlandTerrace, so you have seating and
they have options if you wantto do before fireworks, after
fireworks, different types ofseating, and we did it once for
our anniversary and I think thatis a great night out.
It's a nice night, nice way tocap a day at the Magic Kingdom.
(05:01):
It's also a great night if youjust want to go over to the park
to enjoy that.
I really enjoyed the fireworksdessert parties all the times
we've attended those.
How about you, Chris?
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Oh, definitely, and
what I really love about it is
that it combines awesome food aswell as a special experience.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
And you don't have to
sit waiting hours for a good
spot for the fireworks.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Correct, and I think
that's the one thing.
And the one thing I'll neverforget from the 50th anniversary
was there was a person who hadcamped out in front of the
castle.
They were legitimately there 12hours and now they had a prime
seat, but they didn't move.
I believe probably the entire, with the exception of maybe a
brief spell.
I had saw them in that sameposition the entire day.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yes, so go to the
dessert party.
Spell.
I had saw them in that sameposition the entire day.
Yes, so go to the dessert party.
You don't have to do that.
Now, another thing that you cando, and this is one that is at a
resort and this one issomething that I've never done
this particular experience I'vedone some other experience
related but if you're reallyinto nature and something that
maybe is outside the parks, theyhave a really cool moonlight
(06:06):
safari at Disney's AnimalKingdom Lodge, and we stayed at
Animal Kingdom Lodge again on arecent trip and it's always nice
to be able to just see theanimals.
But this is a nighttime safari.
They take you out through thesavannas that are adjacent to
the lodge and you really get achance to.
They have like night visiongoggles so you get a chance to
(06:28):
see the animals.
They will take you out.
It's about it's a tour thatthey'll take you out into the
actual savanna area.
They say on average, at thistime of night you see at least
20 different animals like 20different species.
They give you night visiondevices so you can look at them.
It's a really cool thing and itgives you a chance to see some
(06:52):
of those animals that youwouldn't see during the day on
the regular safari and it'sreally just a nice, nice
personal event.
This one is, I believe, theyusually have two times for it.
It depends on the time of yearand the cost ranges of course
varies, but it's around $75.
And we're recording this in Mayof 2024.
(07:15):
And that's kind of been theaverage price.
So if you love animals and youwant something away from the
hustle and bustle of the parks, the Moonlight Safari is really
cool.
Another type of like guidedthing that you can do is any of
the guided tours at the parks.
We've done a lot of differentones and we've talked about some
of them in past shows.
We've done real basic ones likeKeys to the Kingdom.
(07:37):
I've done like Caring for theGiants, which is the elephant
one at Animal Kingdom.
We've also done some of the allday ones.
But I really think that guidedtours are a nice way to give
yourself a unique experiencethat you don't normally get when
you're on a trip.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Well, and I think the
great thing about that is that
there's so many things that yousee at Disney and for us you
know, I would put us in theveteran park attenders there's
always something new you want todo, because, to a certain point
, there's certain rides that, unless it's brand new, or unless
it's something that you reallywant to do, you're just going to
walk past it.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
these tours are
awesome because it's going to
give you a brand new experiencethat you wouldn't otherwise get
yeah, and so much detail thatgoes into the parks that you
would, I think, going back toour friends where we had a
couple shows back.
I'll put the link with theirscavenger hunts.
It's really a way to look atthe park in a new way and with
these guides they really helpyou do that and they have ones
(08:29):
that are short, a few hours long, to ones that are all day.
So taking a guided tour and Iguess we said date night some of
these are daytime ones, sowe're going to give ourselves
some leeway on that.
Another thing that you can do,especially, I think, in your
day-to-day life people don'toften take time to pamper
themselves and a lot of peopledon't know that there are spas
(08:52):
at Disney and there's one at theGrand Floridian.
There's one over at Swan andDolphin.
On one of our anniversaries wewent and we had some treatments
done over at Swan and Dolphinwent and we had some treatments
done over at Swan and Dolphinand it's a nice way to get a spa
treatment over, like at SensesSpa that's the one over at Swan
and Dolphin.
You can get all kinds oftreatments, from couples
(09:14):
massages to facials to lots ofdifferent things.
It's a good relaxing experienceand I know we enjoyed going to
the spa on our one anniversarywhen we were there.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
It was wonderful.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Yes, and I think that
gives you a time to slow down
in your vacation, when it can bequite stressful sometimes and
jam-packed.
So it gives you a chance tomaybe you're celebrating a
special occasion like ananniversary or something.
You can do that.
Another thing that is fun witha group or actually I've only
done this with a group, but I dothink it's a great date night
(09:47):
idea is to take a fireworkscruise.
They have one on the Seven SeasLagoon where you can watch, of
course, the fireworks in MagicKingdom, or you can take one in
Crescent Lake to be able to seethe luminous show.
So the fireworks cruises arenice because you can actually
you could do a double date on afireworks cruise.
That would be something thatwould be great.
(10:09):
So with the fireworks cruise, they have a pontoon boat that
leaves from the different docksand they will decorate it if
you're having a birthday orsomething like that.
But they also stock it withsnacks, so pop and some
different like chips and cookies, that sort of thing, which is
super nice.
And the fireworks cruise, again, it gives you a really a front
(10:32):
row seat for those shows.
It's a nice little boat rideand I don't know, we grew, we're
from Michigan, so we're on thewater a lot, even though we're
not even water people, but it'sstill a nice thing to do that.
I think a lot of people, depending on where you live, you
might not have a chance to goout on a boat and then to have
fireworks.
I've really enjoyed the.
I think I've done threefireworks cruises so far and
(10:53):
I've really enjoyed them all.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Vanessa loves
fireworks.
I do, no matter where it couldjust be.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
It doesn't even have
to be Disney, I mean.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
I've seen kids
lighting fireworks on the side
of the road during Fourth ofJuly.
She'll stop and look at those.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Yes, I do like
fireworks, so the fireworks
cruise.
But you enjoyed the cruise, didn't you?
When we've done the cruise,Definitely.
Be forewarned, though.
We went one time for my aunt'sbirthday in January and it was
freezing on the water, so bemindful of that.
It is at night, you're on thewater.
It can get chilly.
Another thing that this onegoes into the parks and this is
(11:28):
something that is air quotesfree, because assuming that you
already have admission to thepark is just taking a stroll
around the World Showcase atEpcot, and we did this on our
anniversary On March 3rd.
We were at Epcot and that'swhere we were married.
We walked around, we tookphotos.
We did have.
That's where we were married.
We walked around, we tookphotos.
We did have a dinnerreservation in Canada, but we
(11:48):
walked around and just kind ofexperienced the ambiance before
we went to dinner, and I reallyenjoyed that.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Yes, the ambiance was
wonderful.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
And at night you can
just get some fun pictures, and
I mean, obviously you'restrolling from Paris to.
You can be in Japan, morocco, germany, all these great places
you can.
If you like to drink, you canget a drink, you can have a
snack, just go into some of theshops.
Of course, in the evening mostof the shows are not going to be
(12:18):
happening and the entertainersaren't going to be out, but just
having that chance to strolland relax and kind of enjoy the
experience, and the WorldShowcase is a great place to do
that when you're with yourspecial someone.
Now you can also move over toDisney Springs.
(12:39):
They're, of course, classichaving a dinner out, but they
also you can pair that with ashow.
So at House of Blues they havea lot of concerts that happen.
You can go to the theater andwatch a movie and also see Drawn
to Life, the Cirque du Soleilshow.
That is a great show as well.
So again, like just atraditional date night, but at
(13:00):
Disney, and it has a little bitextra Disney magic, something
fun that we have done with ourfriends.
I guess it would kind of beconsidered a double a
traditional date night, but atDisney, and it has a little bit
extra Disney magic.
Something fun that we have donewith our friends I guess it
would kind of be considered adouble date is going to play
miniature golf.
Now we did that with ourfriends Shane and Charlie and
it's a great way.
There's a miniature golf coursethat is over by the Swan and
(13:24):
Dolphin and the Swan Reserve andit is a lot of fun.
We actually have passes to goback and play again for free,
which, if they're listening, weneed to do that one trip soon.
The so Miniature Golf is reallythemed after.
It's themed after Fantasia andso there's all kinds of cute
(13:47):
things for each of the holes.
And we got there a little bitlate so we didn't get to finish
the holes.
That's why we got a pass tocome back.
But they also have a morechallenging course.
So this is fun to do with morethan one couple.
To do with just one couple, itis a little bit more difficult
to get there, I would say, ifyou're by on foot.
I typically we've had a rentalcar, we've done it, but you
(14:09):
could take a lift or a minivanand it's a lot of fun to do.
It's just something differentand, again, a little bit more
slow change of pace compared towhat you'd be doing at the parks
.
So that's something to consideras well.
And when you move over to someof the parks, again thinking
about specifically we've donethe after hours events at
(14:30):
several of the parks and I wouldconsider those date nights.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Definitely.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Now, if you have
little ones, or maybe if you're
traveling with a group, noteverybody's going to want to
stay out late.
So if you have younger ones, you can look at some of our
great babysitting services thatwe've had on the show.
But the after hours experiencesare nice because we've done
them at Magic Kingdom, we'vedone them at Animal Kingdom and
(14:56):
it's a great chance to do a lotof rides.
You can walk around, it's alittle bit more well, it is more
peaceful, it's less chaotic,you get a chance.
They have snacks included, youget ice cream and popcorn and
all that sort of thing.
So that's kind of a niceexperience as well.
And they'll often have somecharacter meet and greets
throughout the park too.
(15:17):
So after hours those do cost.
Those are an additional cost.
This is different than like theDVC event we've talked about in
the past.
This is one where you wouldhave a cost if you are an annual
pass holder or Disney VacationClub.
There usually are discounts forit and I remember that.
Okay, this is going to be asidetrack, but we were at an
(15:38):
after hours Animal Kingdom eventthe night that they Disney
announced they were closing theparks for COVID and I remember
us walking around.
There was hardly anybody thereand it was just the two of us.
My parents had taken ourdaughter back to the resort, so
it was a date night and justthinking about like it was so
uncertain but we had the mostamazing night at Animal Kingdom,
(16:01):
despite everything else thatwas going on in the world.
So, again, those after hoursevents are a lot of fun to check
out and there's a lot more thatyou can do at the resorts as
well.
Looking over at Port OrleansRiverside as well as at Fort
Wilderness, they have carriagerides.
(16:22):
We did one at Port Orleans foranother anniversary.
Do you remember doing thecarriage ride?
Speaker 2 (16:27):
No.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Well, I will get the
pictures and I will post the
pictures in one of my posts.
But you can do a carriage ride.
They're 25-minute carriagerides and these actually have
space.
They have two different sizecarriages and the large ones
actually hold four adults.
Or, if you have your littleones with you, they do hold two
adults and several kids.
You can make reservations forthese, and that is recommended
(16:52):
because especially on theweekends and that that can fill
up.
So doing the carriage ride isnice and these typically run
from 5.
To 930 pm and they can bereserved up to 60 days in
advance.
So that is a fun place to go aswell.
And then you can also look atDisney Springs.
(17:16):
We've not done this, which it iskind of on my Disney bucket
list the hot air balloon ride.
It's the tethered ride thatgoes up and you can see all the
great views of Disney Springs.
I've heard it's super cool.
I've not heard anyone who'sdone it that said they regretted
it, and I think if you had anice dinner at Disney Springs
and then topped it off with ahot air balloon ride granted you
(17:38):
are tethered, but I am sure theviews are amazing and I would
love to do that.
Would you do that hot airballoon Easily?
Yes, granted, you are tethered, but I am sure the views are
amazing and I would love to dothat.
Would you do that hot airballoon?
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Easily.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Yes, so definitely,
and if you've done it, please
let us know.
I think it would be fun to know.
Now, last but not least, andagain, there's actually so many
more different things, but acouple of the things that I just
want.
One more that I would like tohighlight is the over at
Boardwalk area that you have acouple of different things.
(18:10):
You have Jelly Rolls, which hasa dueling piano and like
sing-along show.
We looked at it when we were ona recent trip.
It usually runs around $20 orso, but again, it's a great
night of entertainment.
You can have fun and dance andall of that.
We also went over.
Right adjacent to Jelly Rollsis Atlantic Dance Hall and as
(18:31):
long as there's not a specialevent going on, they'll have it
open.
They have a bar that you canpurchase drinks at and the dance
floor is open.
There's no cover charge.
We were there probably about 45minutes or so in dance.
We had a good time.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
We had a wonderful
time.
You should have saw Vanessa onthe dance floor.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Yeah, so there
weren't very many people on the
dance floor, but we were outthere and we had a great time
and, again, that was no cost.
And then Jelly Rolls had aslight cover, but really not
that much for what you'reexperiencing.
So if you've had a day at theparks, you want to have a couple
hours out at the boardwalk.
(19:06):
That's also a great thing.
If you have little ones withyou and you do one of the
babysitting destination sitters,or have a friend with you or
somebody that can watch yourlittle ones, that's a great way
to go out and enjoy the night aswell.
So, all in all, there reallyare so many different options
for date nights.
We've just kind of scratchedthe surface.
Really.
There's lots of differentoptions of what you can look at,
(19:26):
and I think everyone can reallymake something that's their own
.
These weren't even thingsrelated to dinners, but there's
so many dining experiences thatyou can do as well.
There's some of the classesthat we have talked about on
previous shows, so I'll linksome of the different shows that
could also be things that youuse for a date night and I will
(19:48):
make sure to put those in theshow notes.
So hopefully some of you havegotten a chance to experience
these fun dates, and they don'thave to be a dates with a
significant other.
It can just be a friend date.
It could be a nice night outwith a close friend or a family
member, just enjoying somethingdifferent and a new experience
at Disney.
So give us just a minute andwe're going to get our call up
with Claire.
I'd like to welcome Claire tothe show.
(20:10):
Her shop, clarified by Claire, offers all kinds of really neat
soaps that are based ondifferent fandoms, from Disney
to Marvel to Avatar, and we'llhear all about that in a few
minutes.
We actually got a chance tomeet her and her dad at the
House of Mouse Expo, so we'rereally excited to be able to
share her product with you.
She is a student at theUniversity of Tampa, where she
(20:31):
studies sport management, andshe has a minor in Spanish and
business administration, and Ilove their slogan about their
business is our slogan is makingthe world cleaner one geek at a
time, and that is really true.
We really loved all of theproducts that we got when we met
her and we'd like to welcomeClaire to the show.
Hi, now, of course, we alwaysstart off with an icebreaker,
(20:56):
and lately we've been askingpeople what is your favorite
event at any Disney park?
Speaker 3 (21:02):
My favorite event, I
would say, is the Mickey's Not
so Scary Halloween Party.
Yeah, I grew up going to Disneybefore I even lived in Florida
and we've done the Halloweenparty and the Christmas party
and I just love the vibes andthe feeling of the Halloween
(21:23):
party so much.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Now do you dress up
for the Halloween party.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
I haven't before, but
if I get a chance to go again,
I plan on it.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
What would you dress
up as?
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Probably something
related to the Haunted Mansion,
because that is my favorite rideat Disney and it just goes
perfectly with the theme.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Oh, yes, and you've
got to watch the parade then
with your outfit on.
Yes, now we'd like to hear allabout your business and the
products you offer connected toDisney.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
So I started my
business in the summer of 2020,
during the whole pandemicshutdown, and it was the summer
going into my senior year ofhigh school, so I was kind of
sitting around the house bored, trying to find something to do,
and one night I asked my dad hey, do you have any soap making
supplies left?
Because he used to make soapwhen I was real little.
(22:12):
And it turns out he had a toteleft in storage.
So the next day we took it outand he started teaching me how
to make soap.
And after I learned the processI was like I want to make
Disney-themed products.
So we started with a Dole Whip, pirates of the Caribbean,
(22:33):
castaway Cay, the GrandFloridian Lobby and just classic
Disney scents.
And three years later it hasjust grown into this huge
business.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Now, with that you
mentioned about what was that
inspiration, Because you saidyour dad made soap in the past.
But what was that inspirationfor you to decide to pick up the
soap making supplies?
Speaker 3 (22:56):
I've always loved
scented products, whether it's
like candles, soaps, lotions, anything like that oils, soaps,
lotions, anything like that.
So we didn't have candle makingproducts, but we had the soap
making supplies.
So I decided to give that ashot.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Now, how did you go
from making the soap to creating
the actual business?
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Well, my dad also
runs a business, coincidentally,
so he has that background andmy business is also like a
subsidy of his.
So we work out of the samewarehouse and everything and his
is woodworking parts supplies,so it's very different from soap
(23:36):
.
But kind of under his umbrellahe was able to kind of show me
the ropes.
I started out on Etsy, so Etsykind of does a lot of the work
for you behind the scenes, andin the past couple of years
we've switched to our websiteand we're not on Etsy anymore.
So now it's kind of grown intoits full own business.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Now you told us the
story about how the name came
about.
But I have to add just as aside note before you tell us the
story my middle name is Claire,my daughter's middle name is
Claire, my mom, my grandpa, sothat originally brought us to
your table, but we fell in lovewith your products too.
But tell us the story about thename of your business.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
So before I started
the business, I would always say
that I would clarify things andkind of make it my own and kind
of do my own spin on whatever Iwas doing.
And so now these products arelike my own, like clarified
versions of, like simple soapthat you make into a whole
(24:39):
fandom inspired theme.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Now that ties into
our next question, where we
always like to ask how do youthink your products add Disney
magic to your customers lives?
Speaker 3 (24:52):
It adds a sort of
Disney magic to like every part
of your life, or like a part ofyour life that typically would
be ordinary, like your hand soapor your soap in the shower.
But now, if you have, like ourDole Whip inspired scent, now
you take a shower and you'rereminded of the scent of the
Dole Whip and it like brings youback to the park.
(25:14):
So you kind of have a littlebit of Disney with you all the
time.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
And I know, like one
of the ones we purchased was the
Grand Floridian, because that'sour home DVC resort and it does
.
It takes you right back there, that's for sure.
Now, what is your favoritescent, because I know you have
so many different ones, andmaybe tell about some of the
variety you have, as well assharing your favorite?
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Yes, we do have quite
a variety.
There's about 200 differentsoaps.
I would say, wow, across avariety.
There's about 200 differentsoaps.
I would say across a variety offandoms.
I have about four shelves in mystudio full of different
fragrance bottles, so it's veryhard to narrow it down.
But the Pineapple Whip, ourDole Whip inspired scent, has
(25:59):
always been one that I've loved, because I also love Dole Whip
Me too.
That one has just always been aclassic go-to scent for me.
No-transcript, 10 out of 10.
(26:20):
Can never go wrong with thosetropical and fruity scents.
But a lot of our soaps are alsolike perfume and cologne dupes,
like from popular, likedesigners and fragrances.
So with our like Star Wars andMarvel lines, a lot of those are
the dupes.
And the Scarlet Witch-inspiredsoap is a dupepe of Aqua Di Gio
(26:47):
women's perfume, and so I lovethe soap and I also use the same
perfume.
So it kind of goes hand in hand.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
That's awesome.
Now in regards to what tell usmore about, because we talked a
lot about this at the House ofMouse Expo, but how do you get
inspiration to come up with ascent?
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Some of them are
quite literal, like the
Pineapple Whip, the FloridianVilla.
Those are very exact to theirinspiration.
But some of them that are morecharacter-based are definitely
more trying to get the vibe ofthe character.
If this character were real, what kind of aura would they
(27:31):
give off, like for our Disneyprincesses?
Our Moana-inspired soap is avery Polynesian tropical scent
that kind of brings you to herisland, tropical sense, that
kind of brings you to her island.
So it's kind of it's acase-by-case basis but most of
the time is kind of just takingin that character or place or
(27:53):
thing and trying to come up withthe vibe of them so do you just
get on disney plus and pick outa new genre and then come out
with some ideas?
it usually goes with what I'minto at the time, like if a new
show comes out, a new movie, anew trend, then I kind of lean
towards those and it's kind ofwhatever I'm into at the time.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
I'll add more soaps
based on that now, do you keep a
product in like in your line orare some like limited edition?
Speaker 3 (28:26):
we usually don't come
out with them with the purpose
of making them limited edition.
But sometimes a scent orcharacter just isn't popular or
isn't as popular as we expected.
So then we kind of slowlyeither put it on sale or just
wean it out of inventory andthen just doesn't come back.
(28:49):
But we release everything withthe intention for it to be
permanent.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
You mentioned all
these awesome products you make.
Where can people go online tofind out more of what you make?
Speaker 3 (29:02):
To purchase any of
the soap, or look at the options
we have.
We have our website,clarifiedbyclaircom.
Or, if you want to see morebehind the scenes, look at how
we come up with everything.
We're on TikTok and Instagramat clarifiedbyclair.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
Now, if I were to
place an order, what is the
turnaround time?
Because I know sometimes ifpeople want it for a gift or
something like that.
How soon should they order?
Speaker 3 (29:31):
We will usually ship
out within one to two days of
the order being placed.
It just depends if it's on theweekend, it might be two days,
but if it's during the week,it'll be mostly within 24 hours.
We will ship it out, and thenit just depends on where you
live what the typical shippingtime would be like three days,
four days, but even though I'maway at school, my dad will do
(29:54):
all the shipping and orderfulfillments for me back home.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
That's awesome.
Now, for a person like myselfwho has trouble with the details
, where I know Vanessa's onefavorite perfume and it's my
go-to, would you be helpful if Isaid I want a smell that is
orangey or smells this is thekind of theme I want to go for.
Would you help people pick outthat scent?
Speaker 3 (30:27):
yes, definitely.
We will either get likeinstagram messages or emails, or
people will come up to us atevents and conventions looking
for a particular scent, so thenwe will guide them in the
direction of this soap has thatscent, or we don't have that
exact scent, but this one'sreally similar, so we're very
used to doing that.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
Perfect, and we will
make sure to put like the links
to your Instagram and yourwebsite and everything in the
show notes.
That way, people can check outand order your products, but
also see where you might begoing next, because it is great
to be able to.
It was nice to see your wholedisplay with all of the soap.
So thank you so much forjoining us today.
Thank you for having me.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Thank you again to
Claire for joining us today and
remember, use the code DISLOVEto save 10% off your next order.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
And I will make sure
to put that in the show notes.
And now we are on to our twominute trivia and our wisdom
from Walt, quote and Chris, youare up with trivia.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
We talked about date
nights, and for us, we had our
first date night that eventuallyturned into an engagement and
then a wedding at Disney yes sothere's a famous politician, and
again we're this.
We're taping this in May of2024.
This person has been on theballot either a Republican or
Democratic presidential ballotbut this person was married at
(31:48):
Disney.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
Wow, that's in the
president, not like vice
president.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
This person ran for
president.
It is not Joe and it's not Don.
I'll give you a hint, not thosetwo.
But there were people who ranfor the Democratic side and
there's also people who ran forthe Republican ticket, but this
person was married at Disney.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Is it this election?
Speaker 2 (32:18):
It was.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Okay, so Kennedy.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
No, I'll give you one
more guess, and you're going to
kick yourself when you hearthis.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
I'm sure I'm going to
kick myself, so just tell me.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Ron DeSantis.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
Oh wow, yeah, that
makes sense.
Yeah For Florida.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Yeah, Florida
Governor Ron DeSantis and his
wife Casey were married at theWalt Disney World Resort in 2009
in the Wedding Chapel.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
Wow, wedding Pavilion
, wedding pavilion.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Wedding pavilion.
Well, it says chapel here too.
But what's also interesting isthat Ron flipped the script and
he he's gone after Disney.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
He's gone after
Disney.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
So he was married to
Disney and he also has gone
after Disney.
Isn't that interesting?
Speaker 1 (32:59):
And I'd like to note
that our Disney fairytale
wedding was a year before theirs, because you said 2009,.
Correct, correct.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Okay, and then I'll
give you another.
Here's one more.
This famous female singerrenewed her vows to a famous
male entertainer in 2013.
They are no longer married.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Oh, I'm terrible with
famous.
Well, this is hard.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
I'll just tell you,
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Wow, yes, very
interesting.
Well, you never know whatyou're going to learn.
Now, this is not about ourtopic, about day nights, but I
thought when we had talked toClaire and learned her story
about how she had learned tomake soaps and how she got into
it during COVID, it really mademe think about this.
I thought this quote wasperfect because it really
(33:52):
showcases about her endeavor tostart her business and it's just
simply.
Ideas come from curiosity and Ithink that is so true for so
many of the great small shopswe've had on here, but also,
hopefully, for all of you insome of the things, whether it
be planning your trips orlooking and exploring new things
(34:12):
in your own life Hopefully youcan use that curiosity to
generate some amazing ideas.
