Speaker 3 (00:32):
Namaste and welcome
to the Divas that Care Network.
I'm your host, gia Raquel Rose, owner of Heirs Above Yoga, and
you're listening to Above theGround podcast.
This is your first time tuningin.
Our network is headed into its15th year and is listened to in
over 30 countries.
I would like to personallythank you for giving me the gift
(00:52):
of your time.
As always, it is my honor tohold space with you, and today
we are going to continue alongwith a sequence dedicated to our
solar plexus chakra, our powercenter, and developing our core
fire for lack of a better termmaking what makes you passionate
(01:13):
, what brings out in you yourdrive, your focus, your ambition
, your vision.
What about you?
Not only takes you from point Ato point B.
Let's say we're talking abouthaving the idea for something,
but actually taking that actionstep and noticing where you
might fail to take that actionstep.
(01:34):
Having the idea but actuallytaking it one step further.
Right, lots of people have greatideas.
They might be in the shower, they might be on the couch, they
might be, you know, somewhatindisposed when they have their
best ideas, and then they don'tshut them down, or they forget
about them, or they move aroundwith the rest of their day and
their to-do list and whatever itis that's the fire in front of
your face, right, and I havespoken with other people about,
(01:57):
you know, only having thebandwidth for the fire that's in
front of my face, and theproblem with that, inevitably,
is that the bandwidth to havethe problem in front of your
face be the only thing that youcan focus your attention on
means that you're only everdealing with that, that thing
coming at you, and you're comingfrom a place of reactiveness as
as opposed to proactiveness, and we talk about you know
(02:21):
especially and this is genderand sex completely aside but
when we're talking about youknow especially and this is
gender and sex completely asidebut when we're talking about you
know, male versus female, womenhave a tendency to come from,
or hopefully come from, thatreceptive, divine feminine
energy, and so what we'retalking about now is how to
align to ambition from a divinefeminine perspective, how to
(02:43):
become a leader from a place ofreceptivity as opposed to a
place of aggression or a place, and there has to be that fine
line and that balance, and I'mnot sure anyone has a cookie
cutter answer to do this and youwill achieve leadership from a
(03:03):
divine, feminine aspect, and I'msure tons of people out there
are are creating ways to do that, and it's going to ultimately
come down to what works forevery individual.
And so all I'd like to pointout is that there is a way to be
in alignment with not only yourambitions, your goals and your
(03:24):
drive, your passions and whyyou're here on this planet at
this point in time, this miraclethat is you, what your purpose
is, and having that purpose bein alignment with you, who you
are, at your heart, at yourcenter, and in alignment with
you know service to others, right, because I think,
(03:45):
ultimately, success can bedefined by many, many different
things, you know.
You can define it by wealth, which is what a lot of people
tend to do in our culture.
You can define it by balance, which is what I think you know a
good measure is, and that's thebalance between your home life,
your family life if you have afamily your friendships, your
(04:10):
social networks, your ability togive your time, whether you
volunteer, your work, yourcareer, your wealth right.
Your health is huge, right, youcan have all of these things
right, you can have all of thesethings.
And if you get sick, as anyonehas been knocked out with a cold
, a flu, covid, whatever.
All of that balance goes rightout the window right, and you
(04:31):
are on your couch.
So all of these things, I thinksuccess if is very, very
equally measured in a balanceacross all of these different
aspects of our existence, ourshared existence, our cumulative
existence.
And so having first of all thevision and the passion right,
(04:51):
having that vision and passioncome into alignment with who you
are, energetically, spiritually, physically, mentally,
emotionally, having those thingsin alignment and then taking
that inspired or aligned actionas the next step in creation, in
cultivation, in becoming whoyou are truly meant to be,
(05:12):
whoever that is, for whateverpurpose it might be.
We're all going to be different.
That's the beautiful thingabout it.
Our purposes are not alwaysgoing to be the same.
And when you find your tribe oryou find you know other people
that have shared interests, shared goals, share alignments,
and you find those people andthose are your people, those are
your potential, those are yourclients, those could be your
customers, those could be yourfan base, depending on you know
(05:34):
what it is that you do and whatit is that you create.
So you know, having thatreceptivity aspect to, to focus
on the alignment and to focus onthe passion and to bring that
forth into the outer world aswhat we've kind of been talking
about now for a little bit.
And so when we go into today'smeditation which this episode is
(05:57):
a meditation episode we'regoing to be be channeling that
aspect of balance between thedrive and the ambition and the
receptivity of aligned actionand kind of how to follow and
know and understand and trustyourself, trust your inner
(06:18):
knowing, rely a little moreheavily on your intuition, a
little more heavily on you, asopposed to looking to you know
your best friend or to yourtherapist or on your intuition a
little more heavily on you, asopposed to looking to you know
your best friend or to yourtherapist or to your boss or to
some outside influence, yourpartner, whatever it might be,
starting to find that innercompass and starting to really
(06:39):
tap into your next best stepsand coming from that solar
plexus chakra, as we just talkedabout, some yoga poses that
will help fire it up in bothways, both in the heating
masculine aspects, because youdo need a balance.
Like I said, there is not.
You can't just come from aplace of divine inspiration,
close your eyes, get the ideasand then do nothing right.
(07:00):
You have to have balancebetween the two.
But I do believe that there is away to come from it that is
maybe less aggressive and thatdoesn't mean that you're not
working.
That doesn't mean thataggressive is necessarily bad,
because I don't want to say thateither, but coming from a place
of what you are putting forth, what you are, what your passion
(07:21):
is.
When you bring that out intothe world around you, having
people, the correct people, humanity, in, in whatever focus
it is, align with what it isthat you are putting forth and
having that be a goal as opposedto, let's say, the drive of of.
You know, quantity over quality.
(07:43):
We're looking for quality here, and so there is something about
casting a wide net, and thereis some, you know, benefit to
the aggressive approach of justgoing after and achieving and
achieving and achieving and thatis is wonderful if that is true
for who you are, and that is inalignment with your values and
your goals and your beliefs andwhat you want to create and
(08:06):
manifest in this reality.
However, if you are wanting tocultivate and you're wanting to
have that, that inner firewithin yourself become a fire
that other people are attractedto in the outside world.
That is why we are here today.
So, with that in mind, I'vetalked a lot about, in different
(08:27):
meditation episodes, way to setyourself up so that you feel
comfortable, because, remember, anytime you meditate the most
important thing is physicalcomfort, so that you are able to
relax fully and completely andbegin to enter these somewhat
elevated states of consciousnessand or just receptivity and
relaxation, and you can.
(08:47):
You know, with any practicecomes, you know, progress with
practice brings progress, and sothat's all that we're looking
for here today and a lot oftimes, and traditionally when we
are meditating, we are focusingon the, the seat of alignment
with the chakras.
So, from root to crown andthat's where you'd have your
(09:08):
meditation pillow You'd sitsomewhat towards the edge of
that pillow so that your kneesdrop slightly lower than your
hips and your pelvis is in alittle bit of an anterior tilt,
a little bit of a forwardalignment, and that should allow
you to stack the spine somewhatcomfortably and be able to sit
in that position.
Now, if, for any reason, thatis uncomfortable to you, then
for this particular, for thisparticular meditation to focus
(09:31):
on our solar plexus chakra, Iwould invite you to potentially,
if it's comfortable for you, come into a restorative bridge
posture, and so what that lookslike is comfortably laying down
on your back with your heelspulled in, knees bent, feet on
the floor, so that when youstart to press up with your hips
(09:55):
, you're going to take a fewpillows, a blanket, a block, a
bolster and you're going toslide them.
And here's the thing.
I want to be very careful.
If you have any lower back orsacrum issue issues here, being
here for an extended period oftime may become uncomfortable.
So always feel free to just laycompletely flat or come to legs
up the wall by bringing yoursits bones to the wall and
(10:18):
rolling from your right side orleft side up to the wall, but
always roll off the wall towardsyour right side.
All of that being said, if youcan comfortably come into a
bridge position, what I kind oflike about the idea of having
this energetic flow towards thesolar plexus chakra is in the
bridge position you have.
It's like the mildest inversionwe can have.
Right, your hips are above yourhead.
(10:40):
You want to make sure you'renot rotating your neck in any
way.
Your neck and your spineremains in neutral alignment
with your hips elevated, you areinverting the flow of energy,
in theory, right From that rootchakra, sacral chakra of shift
(11:07):
in the gravity, of the typicalchakra alignment.
So I would like to invite youinto that position for this
meditation and hopefully, asI've gone through the
description, laying flat on yourmat, flat on the floor, making
sure you have a block, pillows,a bolster, as you gently lay
(11:32):
your torso to the floor, pressinto the soles of the feet to
lift the tailbone up off the mat, roll that lumbar spine down to
get that complete as minimal acurve in the lower back as you
can and then, as you start torise, to lift the sacrum up.
So you're going to squeeze theinner thighs towards each other.
You're going to gently tuck thelower pelvis up and in you're
(11:53):
going to press the hips up offthe floor, keeping the neck
completely neutral, head andcrown of the head on the floor.
You're going to take whateverblock, bolster, support that you
have with you and gently slideit below the lumbar spine.
You want to be right on thesacral and pelvic area.
So you'll know, because if youhave, for example, a block and
(12:15):
it has a corner, it's going tobe very uncomfortable if it's on
any of the lumbar vertebrae.
So you want to have it a littlebit tracking down, kind of just
at that triangular structurewhich is the sacrum at the base
of the spine, or it's the baseof the spine.
I should say so you'll know, because it'll feel good or it
won't, and, as always with yogaand at life, for the most part,
if it doesn't feel good, maybedon't do it.
(12:36):
So hopefully now you are niceand set up and you can begin to
relax into that space and, likeI said, we're going to be here
for a few minutes.
So hopefully you are in acomfortable place, make sure
that you are in whatever placethat is for you and then you're
going to very, very gently beginto lower your gaze or close
(12:56):
your eyes and begin to draw yourawareness into your body by
connecting with your breath and,as you breathe, focus and send
(13:16):
that breath into all of thepoints of contact between
yourself and the earth beneathyou and truly begin to ground
down and breathing into thesoles of the feet, breathing
(13:44):
into each individual toe, breathing into the soft space of
the cushion, supporting yourpelvis Fully, releasing the
weight of your body into thatsupport, knowing that the
(14:10):
support is there for you anytimeyou need it.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Continuing to breathe
into the middle of the back,
feeling the opening of the heartwith your inhale and relaxing
the shoulders, the back of theneck more fully into that
(14:48):
support with your exhale, relaxing all of the muscles in
your face, unclenching your jaw, releasing any furrow of your
breath, letting the weight ofyour head be completely absorbed
(15:14):
head be completely absorbed bythe floor and the ground beneath
you.
That this space is safe.
This space is sacred.
(15:36):
This space belongs to you, tosource, to your angels, to your
guides, to your ancestors, toyour guides, to your ancestors,
(15:58):
to your support, declaring onlythose with your highest and best
good at heart to help you, asking them to guide you for
(16:35):
your highest and best good, asking to be shown, with your
mind's eye, how best to knowyour purpose, how best to
(17:10):
fulfill your purpose.
What is the next step towardsfulfillment?
Pause and breathe in your path.
(18:09):
Know that this path is nocompetition, know that there is
(18:46):
enough for everyone.
Begin to visualize a beautifulgolden flame just above your
(19:12):
belly button.
With every breath and withevery inhale, this brain grows
(19:32):
bigger and bigger.
Visualize this golden flamegrowing around you and
(19:55):
encompassing you.
Feel no fear, knowing that itis from within you.
Feel its warmth in your belly, feel that warm extending outward
(20:26):
in all directions.
Feeling as though this flamewithin you is not just a part of
you but is who you truly, atyour very core.
(20:54):
And then, as you look into thecenter, the golden, white glow
of this flame, watch asilhouette of your innermost
(21:20):
self begin to emerge, slowly, purposefully, walking, walking
towards you.
Gently open your palms andallow yourself to take the hands
(21:53):
.
Feel, take the hands.
Feel the love and support inthe clasping of both hands of
who you truly are.
Feel the passion and the firemove through up through your
(22:45):
arms, up through your third eyeand crown, and begin to open to
this connection between yourselfand your true, deepest self.
Pause and listen to anythingthat comes to mind.
Do you hear something?
(23:33):
Or do you hear something?
Or do you see something?
Is there something you feel inyour heart?
Allow yourself to receivewhatever message your truest
(24:05):
self has for you, and the key isto trust.
If you have a question, ask itnow, while you're continuing to
(24:45):
hold the hands of your passionand your deepest, truest self.
(25:35):
When you have your answer, oreven simply an insight, feel
gratitude, say thank you, saythank you and, if it feels right
(26:02):
and true for you, embrace thesilhouette of you that has
emerged from the fire of thedeepest part of you and know
(26:38):
that you are one in the same.
Allow this embrace to bring youpeace.
Feel any emotions, anysensations, any sensations.
(27:05):
Be in this space with the firewithin you, asking for clarity
(28:17):
on the next best step to fulfillyour purpose and your passion.
Relax into the knowledge ofthis step, relax into the
purpose of this path.
Settle in to the sensation ofknowing you have the strength,
(28:39):
the fire within you, the powerto ignite, and you are
surrounded by loved ones, byancestors, by loved ones, by
(29:01):
ancestors, by guides, by angelsand by source itself To move
forward with purpose, withsoftness, with strength and,
(29:35):
above all, with love.
Begin to deepen your breathing, feeling the support and the
(29:58):
strength of all those that camebefore you, the support and the
strength of all those that willcome after you and know that all
you do is in service not onlyto the world around you.
(30:29):
Begin to the belly button.
Start to focus your deepenedbreath beneath your hands.
(31:16):
Visualize the fire that is allaround you, moving into that
space between your hands andyour belly.
Feel its warmth, feel itsstrength and trust in your
(31:44):
ability to both make it grow andto reign it in.
Trust that you will know, because you already know when
(32:07):
and how it is safe for you andeveryone around you to wield
your true power.
And when you are ready with theknowledge of this, open your
(32:31):
eyes.
If you did decide to practicethis meditation in a reclined
restorative bridge posture, Iencourage you now to gently
(32:51):
press into the soles of yourfeet and elevate your hips off
of the bolster blocks or pillows.
Slowly, gently, with an exhale, roll the lumbar spine in touch
with the mat and, when thetailbone touches down, breathe
(33:18):
in deeply and take as long asyou need to come from this
posture back to a comfortableseat by rolling onto your right
side.
I hope this meditation helpsyou feel empowered, protected,
(33:44):
strengthened by those that camebefore you and those that have
yet to come.
I would like to say how much Iappreciate each and every one of
you for sharing your space withme and ask that you please feel
free to share this space withyour loved ones.
