(00:00):
What's up everybody, Anton Craley here and welcome back to
the Drop Ship Lifestyle podcast. So it was recently brought to my
attention that we have many DropShip Lifestyle members who
listen to this show that are notaware.
I also have a members only podcast, So what I wanted to do
with this episode is just put itout there as kind of APSA to let

(00:23):
all drop ship lifestyle members know.
We currently have 14 members only episodes with new ones
being added about weekly on average since I started it.
I wanted to let you know how to find it, but then I also wanted
to give you a preview of what that show is actually like.
So that's what we're going to doin today's episode.
This is just the intro I added onto it.

(00:43):
First of all, if you are a member and you're like, wow, I
want to go back and listen to all of them, I think that's a
good idea. But what you can do is just go
to your members area, click up top where it says bonuses.
And if you Scroll down a little bit, you'll see a section that
says listen to the drop ship lifestyle members only podcast.
Click on that. And again, at this point, the
day I'm recording this, you'll see 14 episodes there with new

(01:04):
ones added weekly. And in the members only podcast,
just so you know the difference between that and this public
show, I go deeper into questionsrelated to our drop ship
blueprints. I actually answer questions from
support and from Discord. Also celebrate member wins and
share any relevant updates to the drop ship blueprints or
really just anything else I'm doing in my businesses.

(01:26):
So without further ado, what I'mgoing to do now is cut into
episode 14 of the podcast. Listen to it.
And then again, if you're a member, jump into your members
area, get all the links I mentioned, go back and binge the
rest. All right, see you there.
What's up everybody, Anton here and welcome back to the Drop
Ship Lifestyle Members only podcast.

(01:47):
Today is what is it, Friday, May23rd, 2025.
And I wanted to get you an episode because there were two
things that came up on Discord that I'd rather answer in this
podcast format than just type out responses for.
So not only to benefit the people that ask them, but
questions that I think could benefit the wider community that

(02:07):
includes you who listens to these podcasts.
So just so you know, one of the questions is in regards to
supplier sourcing, and the otherquestion is in regards to an
order that is potentially fraud. So those are the two questions
that are coming. But before I get into those and
answer them, I just wanted to share an update and a shout out.

(02:28):
And let's do the shout out firstbecause I noticed right before I
started recording this episode, Dan posted in our Share Your
Wins channel on Discord that he just crossed 200K in only a 30
daytime period. So Dan, awesome work.
Congratulations and keep that rolling.
That is, that's pretty sweet. No one is complaining about
that. Very, very nice work there.

(02:51):
Then in regards to the update I wanted to give you, so you guys
know I always love a good excusefor a promotion.
These could be things that we make up ourselves, or they could
be actual dates. And the date I'm recording this
again is a Friday and Monday is Memorial Day, just as good a
time as any to run a promotion. So if you do not have anything
set up for your store yet, just know again, even though it's

(03:14):
coming very soon, what I would encourage you to do, especially
if you're listening to this on Friday, May 23rd, is put
together a quick promotion that you can update on your website
with your special Memorial Day offer, that you can e-mail out
to any contacts on your list andthat you can even post on social
about. Now, I'm not going to get into
how to do all that in this podcast because we have a lesson

(03:36):
on how to do so. It is less than 6.7 in the
blueprint. It's called creating promotions
and I'll link to this lesson below this episode, but check
this out. It'll show you how to put
together an offer very quickly and it definitely can benefit
your sales. Even if you know the normal
promotion you do is maybe 5% offor 10% off, even if you run that

(03:56):
same discount but change the discount codes.
Memorial Day, again, e-mail yourlist about it and post on social
about it. Even if you have a very small
audience and you bring in one ortwo extra sales, it is well
worth your time because you could probably set this all up
in an hour or so. So again, link below to that
lesson on this this episode. And if you're, you know,
listening to this in the future and Memorial Day 2025 is over,

(04:19):
don't worry, you got plenty of holidays soon.
If you're in the US, 4th of Julyis going to be here before we
know it. And I would even throw something
in there for June. So check out that lesson again,
even if you're listening to thisin the future.
OK, so the two questions, the the first one I'll cover a
little bit quicker I guess, but it's within the overview channel
in Discord. And this came through, I guess

(04:41):
yesterday with them recording this from Dreamer and Dreamer
just tagged me in Discord and said is it safe to accept
international wire transfers from unverified buyers?
And my response there was I'm over 99% sure it's a scam.
Unfortunately, there are many people out there who spend their
days trying to RIP off business owners.
And yeah, I just want to kind ofelaborate on that and let

(05:03):
everybody know things to look out for, right?
So I guess I don't want to say it's common, it's real.
It's common enough that it's worth mentioning.
There is a scam with e-commerce stores or I should say that
people try to pull on e-commercestores where you receive an
e-mail from somebody that says, you know, I'm looking to buy
this product for my home in enter country.

(05:23):
Or I'm looking to buy this product for my child who's
buying a new home and I want to get this shipped to them.
Or I'm looking to buy this for my office, but I needed to get
shipped to this freight forwarder first, right?
So all these conversations always start off with inbound
emails from people with these weird requests, not typical

(05:44):
request. The typical request is, hey, is
this product in stock and can I get it by next Friday?
Right? That's not a scam e-mail.
A scam e-mail is like, I have this unique situation that again
requires me first of all, to letyou know about it and not just
buy on your store. And the second part of it is
typically involving a unique payment method like a wire
transfer. Now, the first thing I'll say is

(06:06):
inherently wire transfers are not something I consider
fraudulent. We accept plenty of payment via
wire transfers, usually from B to B orders.
Sometimes also if you, you know, end up selling to like a
government entity, maybe even like a school, they'll pay that
way. So that part is not the scam
part. The scam part in this case that

(06:26):
made me say I think over 99% it's a scam Is it was the way
they worded it, Trumer worded itwas it's an international wire
transfer from an unverified buyer.
So again, what I would put I beteverything on close to
everything on is that what wouldhappen here is the person would
send a wire. Most likely they would wire,

(06:46):
let's say. And they usually also these
people want many items, right? It's not just like one simple
thing, but even that could be a scam.
But usually it's like, I want, you know, 10 different things or
10 of the same thing. And the way the scam works is
they will send you a wire typically for more, let's just
say that the purchase order was for $20,000.
They'll send you $40,000 and then say, Oh no, I just sent

(07:10):
this and I accidentally sent toomuch.
I need you to send me, you know, whatever I sent over back,
right? And then the unsuspecting
business owner, e-commerce storeowner will send them money back.
And then two or three days later, the wire transfer that
they sent will actually get pulled out of your your account
because it was sent from an account that was basically a
fraudulent account. To be honest, I'm not sure how

(07:31):
they do it, but I know the fundsdon't stay in your account.
So that's basically how that scam works.
And again, if you see anything that gives you any hesitation
like that, my advice is just don't process it.
But if you want like further clarification or you think you
have a bit of a different scenario or someone's reaching
out about something like that, Iwould say, you know, post on
Discord and I'll be happy to give you my feedback if it's a

(07:54):
different situation. But for what Dreamer said,
there's no way I would accept that.
Order it based on, you know, theamount of emails I've seen.
Even my wife, she does like highends, like he's like floral.
I don't even know how to describe what she does.
She she's a Baker, but she makesthese like, you know, wedding
cakes with these crazy flowers on them and things like that.
And even her, you know, it's nothigh ticket stuff.

(08:15):
It's like, yeah, like relativelyhigh tech, like 500 bucks or so,
but she gets messages all the time from people like, oh, I
need to pay you via Venmo. And then, you know, she'll say
no. And then they'll text her and be
like, oh, I just sent you money in Venmo.
I need you to send it to me backthen.
But no one ever sends money. So unfortunately, again, a lot
of people waste a lot of time where they could be working and
building a business just trying to scam people.

(08:37):
So yeah, don't fall for it. And if you need more
clarification, again, asking Discord, happy to look into like
unique scenarios. OK, so the next thing that I
wanted to discuss was supplier sourcing, especially when you
are newer. So like, you know, literally
just launching. And we had Justin last night in

(08:57):
the get suppliers channel and hesaid that he had a roadblock
when he was reaching out to suppliers.
I'm just reading what he posted here and he was being told by
the decision makers that he needs the e-mail information.
Even after filling out he said Ihad one tell tell me it'll be 4
to 8 weeks to approve my application.
I'm ritualistically calling themevery two days to try to get a

(09:21):
response backs and the I'm sorryand the ones that the sales team
state they don't have a Direct Line to reach out to are only
strictly using emails. Haven't replied back and it's
been almost two weeks so I'm just looking through it.
As he says the ones that want toapprove me fast don't use map so
my list of viable suppliers are dwindling fast.

(09:42):
So then there was like a follow up on that too.
So before I go to the follow up I'll just say right now he said
stuck at 5. Can I get some support on this?
I'd like to move on and I've been stuck at getting 5
suppliers for the last two weeks.
So what I would say First off for the supply, like the one
that said 48 weeks for approval,I, I have never had a supplier
tell me it's going to take that long to get back to me.

(10:04):
I would assume something's happening at their company where
they literally just don't have the manpower because it doesn't
take long to bring on new retailers.
But if somebody did tell me that, I would say, OK, that's
totally fine. And then on my supplier tracking
sheet in the notes section, I would note down who I spoke to
when I spoke to them and that itwould be 48 weeks, 428 weeks.
And then in four weeks, I would follow up with them.

(10:25):
Then like I said, I personally set a reminder in my phone too
for four weeks to let me know follow up with Brand A, whoever
that is. Now in regards to the other ones
that said to e-mail and you haven't received responses back
yet, I would continue to follow up with them.
If you've been following up for two weeks every two days and you
haven't heard back yet, I personally, especially because

(10:45):
you know, next Monday is Memorial Day and I'm assuming
you're in the states, I wouldn'tfollow up today being it's
Friday and a lot of people have extended weekends.
Maybe next week on like Wednesday or Thursday once
people are definitely back in the office, I'd follow up then.
But one thing that I definitely think you should be doing, you
mentioned the only suppliers that seem to be approving you
now are the non map suppliers. At this point, I would still

(11:07):
become an authorized retailer for them and I would upload
their products to your store. Reason being even though they're
not the ones that you're going to be running ads for.
By the way, I have a video on how to profit with non map
suppliers so I will let me just make a note for it so I don't
forget. I will link to that video under
this under this podcast. Just going to make a note.

(11:27):
So again, I don't forget about it non map.
So check that one out. But the reason I'm going to
encourage you to do that now is because then let's say, you
know, today you upload all the products or over this weekend,
you upload all the products fromthe non map suppliers that are
approving you. Then when you go back, you know,
next week, Wednesday or Thursdayto the other brands and they go
to your site to visit it again. They'll see now.

(11:49):
Oh wow, you know the store is selling for three different
brands. They have maybe hundreds of
products, right? So it can boost your credibility
by almost first getting authorized to sell for those,
you know, those brands that aren't as appealing to us as
retailers. But what it can do is again,
boost the site credibility. So when you circle back to the
ones you really want to sell for, you'll have more

(12:11):
credibility to hopefully push those other applications through
faster. Just so you know, though, when
it comes to like the non map products again, they'll be a
more, you know more a video linked below that explains
everything in more detail. But when it comes to them, we'll
still upload them, but we're going to list them at prices
where they would be very profitable if they sell, but
we're not going to run ads to them.

(12:31):
So if you sell them, great, it'll be through free traffic
with great margins. If you don't sell them, it's not
the end of the world. But you're not putting money
into ads for them. You're going to put money into
ads for the map suppliers as those approvals come.
And then Justin also said one thing.
You seem to be like a bit upset about it.
I know text, it's hard, like hasit comes through a little bit.
But you said one of the suppliers, I'll just read it.

(12:51):
You said, just got off the phonewith a supplier.
They told me my site was not finished even though I followed
the blueprints. They made a decision last week
and sent an e-mail for it. What gives?
There weren't products in every collection, so it's incomplete.
And then you said they also saidthe demo products was another
reason they declined because they didn't like that there.
And they stated that it's like ascam site that would most likely

(13:14):
not follow map. Like I wasn't even given a
chance and called a scammer. So yeah, you know, I all I can
go off is my, you know, own experience and I've never had a
company say anything like that to me because.
And I did ask and you did confirm.
I said, did you let them know inadvance it was a demo store?
You know, if if we approach the supplier and that's the reason I
asked that is because if we senta site, you know, basically in

(13:35):
what I would call demo mode to abrand and I said something like
my name is Anton Craley. You know, I've been building
e-commerce stores for 20 years. Go to this site and you know,
you could see it. We want to sell your products
there. And then they went to it and
they saw that it had a handful of products that were demo
products. Then I can understand them being
like what you just told me. You've been in e-commerce 20
years and the site has, you know, 5 products.

(13:56):
But that's the reason like I give those scripts in module 4.
We're letting them know that thesite we're planning on launching
on X state and they can go to itto envision how their products
would look like on it. Now, I don't know, you know,
when, when you do business online, you open yourself up to
the world that includes customers.
I've had plenty of insane customers that are quite rude

(14:17):
over the years for for no reason.
So you really never know what you're going to get when you're
speaking to people. And to me, it sounds like if you
did say everything that, you know, I kind of just went
through and that's in module 4 and a supplier came back and
said it looks like you're a scammer, then I think you got
one of the crazy people out there.
So I've also done videos in the past.
I don't know if it would be helpful.
I can link to one of them as well about dealing with supplier

(14:39):
rejections. But you know, in a situation
like that, I, I, I personally would almost laugh it off
because the person you spoke to,you know, if you explained that
your site was going to launch onX date and it's there for them
to see what the site looks like and envision their products on
it. And they came back with this.
You're a scammer. You know, you can't deal with
some people in the world, right? That's how life works.

(15:00):
But I actually will I'll link tothe video below this one as well
on how to deal with supplier rejections.
And other than that, I think course of action, like if I was
you right now, I kind of went through it already.
And again, this I'm speaking to Justin here because Justin asked
a question, but this applies to anybody that is, you know,
following up with suppliers and maybe only getting authorized to

(15:21):
sell for the ones they're not that excited about in the
beginning, like non map suppliers.
Again, my advice still is when you get those approvals, even
with a non map supplier, fill out the, you know, the
agreement, get their product information, upload them to your
store and then circle back with the others because it does help
to build credibility. And honestly, even the
follow-ups alone do help becauseit shows suppliers that you are

(15:42):
serious about working with them. And I guess one more thing I can
add, if you're really not hearing back, let's say, you
know, like I just recommended next week on Wednesday and
Thursday you follow up again andfor some reason you don't hear
back and it's Friday. One thing you can also try, I'll
tell you like this is like a rare thing that we'll do, but if
there is a situation where we'renot hearing back or we don't get

(16:03):
approved right away, I will go on LinkedIn and like look up the
actual company. And on LinkedIn you can see
people that work at different companies.
So if you could find the brand there, you could see the people
that work there and you can see their job title.
And if you don't have a LinkedInaccount, you can make one, make
yourself the owner of your company name.
And you can even send messages on LinkedIn there and just say,

(16:23):
hey, I've been following up now for a few weeks.
We're really excited about listing for your brands.
I haven't heard back yet and I just wanted to make sure my
emails are even going through. Are you the right person to talk
to? If not, would you mind just
responding to this message? Let me know who I should reach
out to. Really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance. So always the friendly tone, you
know, friendliness gets friendliness.
So that's definitely how I recommend reaching out there.

(16:45):
If again next Thursday, if you reach out again next Wednesday,
you don't hear back by Friday. I would.
I would use that approach as well.
So yeah, that's going to do it for this episode.
Guys. Again, congratulations to Dan on
over 200K in the last 30 days. That is awesome work.
And again, if you're watching this either the day I'm putting
it out, Memorial Day is coming soon.

(17:05):
So I would quickly put together a promo for Friday, Saturday,
yeah, Friday, Saturday, Sunday ending Monday at midnight, which
is Memorial Day and get some extra sales that'll cost you
basically $0.00 to require. So thank you guys.
I appreciate you and I'll talk to you in the next episode of
the Dropship Lifestyle Members Only podcast.
See you everybody.
