(00:00):
What's up everybody? Anton here from
dropshiplifestyle.com. And today I'm going to be
sharing what I'm calling the Ultimate Guide to Drop Ship
Suppliers in 2025. Now specifically, we're going to
be covering 3 different topics in this video.
The first are different suppliersourcing methods.
Then I'm going to talk about howto actually locate drop ship
(00:22):
suppliers, and then I'm going totalk about how to contact them.
So if you're looking to get intodrop shipping as we get into
2025, this is definitely the video for you.
Make sure you stick around, takenotes if you need to, rewind as
much as you need to because I have a lot to share in a
relatively small amount of time. Now also, I should note that
there is a previous video I justposted on this channel on drop
(00:44):
ship lifestyle that is called the Ultimate Guide to Niche
Selection in 2025. So if you missed that, I will
link to it below this episode. Go check that out, then come
back here. OK, first thing I want to
discuss today is supplier sourcing methods.
Now there are lots of different ways to drop ship, but there are
three main ways that people typically find themselves having
(01:06):
to choose between. Now the first method that most
people will find when they are looking into drop ship suppliers
is what I will refer to as directories.
And this is what you will find if you go on Google and you
search for drop ship suppliers or products to drop ship or drop
shipping product ideas. Typically what you'll see in the
search text ads on Google in thesponsored section are these
(01:29):
directories, but also in the organic section as well.
And directories. We'll talk a little bit more
about them in a few minutes. But typically these are websites
that will charge you for access to see what products they offer.
And then you will be able to upload them to your store, sell
them, buy them after from a supplier listed in the
directory. Now the second Tye of supplier
you'll find when doing research is what I will refer to as OD
(01:53):
and that stands for Print on demand.
Now most people think like, oh, print on demand, that means
T-shirts. And yes, that is one method of
print on demand. But you know, in 2025 there's a
lot more than that. You have jewelry, you of course
have things like mugs, you have backpacks, you have towels, you
have, you know, different totes people could bring to the beach.
(02:14):
So there's lots of different types of print on demand drop
shipping. But when you're sourcing
suppliers, that most likely is one of the types you will find.
And for the third option, I'm going to refer to this as
direct. And what this means is for
whatever product you are selling, you become an
authorized retailer to sell for that brand.
You are directly in a relationship with them when you
(02:37):
get approved to sell for them. When you become an authorized
retailer, when you're sending inorders, you're not sending it to
a place to get custom made or printed on demand.
You're not sending it to a directory kind of some third
party. No, you're sending it direct to
that supplier who you have a relationship with.
So just know for the purposes ofthis video and really everything
I've ever talked about a drop ship lifestyle, we are not
(02:59):
talking about working with drop ship directories because these
companies make money in a coupleways.
One of them is by charging you afee for access to sell their
products. It might be a monthly fee, it
might be, you know, biannual, itmight be annual, but they make
money first on those fees. And also these are middle men
companies. So the other way they make money
is by being that integrator between you and the supplier.
(03:22):
And through that integration, one thing that happens is they
increase the price, right, because they have their markup.
So maybe some of the suppliers you can become directly
authorized to sell for you wouldfind in directories.
But if you source them through adirectory and you work with them
through a directory, you're going to be paying more for
those products, which is going to make it much harder to
actually make money to have any profit leftover.
(03:44):
So we're not talking about directories here.
If you find them, don't use them.
And print on demand, While we dodo some print on demand stuff,
for example at DSL merch.com, that's the drop ship lifestyle
merch store, we do it more for fun.
It's definitely not a money maker.
So if you really want to be profitable with drop shipping, I
definitely don't recommend printon demand.
Now maybe, you know, a couple years from now, you build up a
(04:06):
brand reputation for your store and you want to have merch where
your audience can support you and, you know, where your stuff
basically, then yeah, add it on to the mix.
But again, don't think of this as the money maker because
again, small, you know, sales amounts equals small profit.
We don't do that. Instead, what we do and what I
would recommend you do is becomedirectly authorized to sell for
(04:27):
the brands in which you want to sell for.
And remember, next I'm going to talk about how to actually find
these suppliers. Then we'll talk about how to
contact them. But just know when I say direct,
it means that if you were going to sell, let's use rugs as an
example because there's one below me right now.
If you were going to sell rugs, you would reach out to every rug
brand you could find and you would become directly authorized
(04:47):
to sell their products. Your relationship is directly
with them. When you get sales, you send
them directly to the brand and that is where the real money is
to be made when it comes to dropshipping.
OK. So step one, we're becoming
directly authorized to sell for the brands which we want to sell
for no directories because we don't want to pay middle men, no
print on demand because we want to make real money every time we
(05:09):
get a sale. So moving on to Step 2 of this
process, we're going to talk about how to find suppliers.
And it really isn't that complicated, but I know a lot of
people that are getting into this business model or maybe
that have tried with one of those other methods in the past
that haven't been able to make it work need a step by step
system. So I'm going to take you through
five of those steps that are going to help you be able to
(05:30):
actually go out there and locatethese suppliers.
So the first thing you want to do is very simple.
You're going to go to google.comand you're just going to search
for your niche, whatever that may be.
And if you don't know what your niche is yet again, go back and
watch the previous video I did called the ultimate guide.
I believe I called it the ultimate guide to product
selection. But you know, product selection,
(05:50):
niche selection leaves them interchangeably.
So I'll link that up again below.
But once you have your niche, you're simply going to go on
Google and you're going to search for your niche.
So again, for me, if it was rugs, I would go on Google.
I would type in rugs. I would press enter.
Now, the next thing that you're going to see are obviously the
search results. And in those search results,
there's going to be the sponsored ads, those search text
(06:12):
ads as they're called on Google, and then the organic listings.
What I want you to do is for thewhole page, right?
Including the sponsored, including the organic results,
the whole first page of Google results, open them in a new tab,
open in new tab. So at this point, you're going
to have a whole bunch of websites open on Chrome.
Hopefully you have a lot of RAM on your computer so it's not
(06:33):
getting slowed down. But you're going to take this
list of websites you found and then you're going to go to what
probably is the most important step here when it comes to drop
ship supplier sourcing. And that is to check out of all
those websites you opened up in new tabs, which ones are online
only. This is extremely important
because when we are building drop shipping stores, we know
(06:55):
we're going to have competition. That's a good thing.
Listen, if you want to drop shipin 2025 and you think you're
going to find a niche with no competition, I've been doing
this myself since 2007 and I have had competition since the
beginning. So don't think that you're going
to find this untapped market. Competition is fine.
There's plenty of ways we address that, whether it be
through how we optimize for conversions or how we get
traffic. I could do other videos on that.
(07:16):
By the way, if you're interested, you could type in
CRO for a conversion rate optimization or type in traffic
as a comment. And if I see those comments,
maybe I'll do another, you know, video or episode on those.
But just know when you have all those websites open, you're
going to go through those websites 1 by 1 and you're going
to look at things like they're about us pages and you're going
to look at things like they're contact us pages.
(07:39):
And what you're looking for are which ones do not have physical
locations, specifically which ones do not have warehouses and
or retail stores? Because if let's say you pulled
up, you know, 20 websites in your research here and you see
that five of them say, come visit us at, you know, X
address, whatever that is. Or they say we ship from our
warehouse in Kentucky, whatever it is.
(08:01):
That means they are not online only.
And that means we want to close out of them because they are not
what I call our future competitors.
Our future competitors are online only stores.
So very important we keep this open.
And some of the easiest ways to find this as you're going
through your, you know, future competitor websites is looking
at the footer of their website, going to their contact us page,
(08:21):
and also going to their about uspage to learn a little bit more
about them. So remember any ones that do
have that retail location or warehouse, we are exiting out of
them and we're keeping the remaining ones open in our web
browser basically. OK, so the next step after here,
once we have narrowed down our list is to look for a section on
(08:41):
the remaining websites that saysbrands.
OK, let me see if I can draw eyes here.
That's some eyes. So we're looking at the
remaining websites. We're looking for a list that
says brands. This might just be in their
header menu. It might be in their footer
menu. You might need to click into a
different category on the onlinestore to find the brand section.
But what you want to do is find that and click on it.
(09:03):
And when you do, it's going to pull up all of the the brands
that the remaining stores sell for.
Remember, the online only storessell for.
And this is important because weknow as online only retailers
that our best chance to get authorized to sell for a drop
ship supplier is if that drop ship supplier is working with
online only stores. So you see how we're kind of
(09:24):
following this sequentially, right?
Hopefully you do. Hopefully it makes sense.
By the way, we're like halfway through this.
But if you're getting value fromthis one, do me a favor, comment
value below. It really helps me like when I
make, you know, content and videos and episodes on platforms
like this. If I see people commenting
value, that's obviously a good sign for me, means it's worth my
time to keep making these and cover different topics.
So again, if you are getting value, type value and also be
(09:47):
sure to you give it a thumbs up and subscribe either on the
podcast feed or on YouTube, wherever it is you listen or
watch this from. OK, but the next step right once
you are here is you want to go ahead and locate the brand's
websites. So how do we do that?
First, I'll just write this downand then I'll explain how to do
it. Locate brand websites.
(10:08):
Just remember, at this stage, all of the websites that we have
pulled up are our future competitors.
They're the people that are selling what it is we want to
sell. But we're not going to sell for
our competitors. We're going to sell for the
brands that they sell for. So once you find these brand
lists on all of the remaining websites that are online only,
you're simply going to go to newtabs again, get that RAM going,
(10:29):
put it to work and Google those brand names.
And then what you want to do is look in the Google search
results and find the brand website.
So if it said, you know, if there was a company called, I
don't know, Premium Rugs Plus, and you googled Premium Rugs
Plus and the 1st result said premiumrugsplus.com, that's a
good indicator that that is the brand's website.
(10:49):
But basically what you want to do is find these direct brand
websites and at this point in the process, keep them all
pulled up. OK?
So don't close anything. Keep these all open on your web
browser because now we're going to move into the final step of
the process that I wanted to share with you here today and
move this over to the next screen.
Grab it over here. And this is how to actually
(11:09):
contact them, right? This is what we do when we say,
OK, we found the brands we want to sell for.
Ideally it's over 20, ideally over 30 if you can get it there
because you're not going to get authorized to sell for all of
these drop ship suppliers on dayone.
Some of them are going to tell you, hey, come back once you
have traffic or come back when you have sales.
But we do want to have a substantial amount of brands
that we found that we can reach out to.
(11:32):
So the first step of this this process here is to add.
So I'm just going to put plus Add all of the supplier
information to a spreadsheet. Now you can use Excel, you can
use Apple Numbers. I personally use Google Sheets
just because it's easy and I can, you know, pull it up on my
phone or any of my computers andthe data is always there.
But what you want to do is make a spreadsheet and then all of
(11:54):
those brand names you just found, put them in column A.
In column B, put all the websites for them that you just
found. In column C, you could put the
phone numbers that you found forthem.
In column D, You could put e-mail addresses that you found
for them. Again, by following our previous
steps and pulling up their brandwebsites.
But that's what you want, to have all this information
packaged into one nice spreadsheet for you.
(12:14):
Now you might think Step 2 is toreach out to them, but it's not.
There's another step here if youwant to get authorized to sell
for the best suppliers early on.And this is to do what I call
build a demo store. Now if you're not familiar, you
know, with building stores, we use Shopify.
(12:35):
That's been like my go to platform since 2012.
It's amazing. By the way, if you want a
Shopify store now, they have an amazing deal.
I'll put the link here. But you can get three days free
and then 90 days for $3. So 90 days for $3.
No contracts or anything like that.
And you can go to DSL for dropship lifestyle.
(12:55):
So DSL dot life slash Shopify and if you go to that link, you
can get those 90 days for $3 there and you can build a demo
store. Now our demo stores, just so you
know, they look and function just like one of our real
stores. In fact, they do become our real
stores. But when we're reaching out to
these suppliers, we need to build them first because no
(13:16):
quality brand or supplier is going to authorize you to sell
their stuff. If you just contact them and
say, you know, if I said, hey, this is Anton.
I, I want to sell your rugs. And they would say, OK, Anton,
where are you calling from? And I said, well, no where, but
I'm planning on building a store.
They're not going to approve me,right?
On the other hand, if I picked up the phone and called them and
said, hey, this is Anton from, you know, rugdepot.com, we would
(13:39):
love to sell your products for reason XY and Z.
If you want, you can and go to our website right now and take a
look. That is a much better pitch than
just saying, you know, we want to sell your stuff.
And I don't have a company yet. So Step 2 here is build a demo
store. And step three, I kind of just
alluded to this, but this is extremely important and this is
to call them. OK, so these brands, again, the
(14:00):
good ones you want to sell for, they get contacted by different
people all the time for different reasons.
If you send them an e-mail, it'svery easy for emails to get
pushed to the bottom of a list, never responded to.
What we always do is pick up thephone, call the suppliers that
we've added already to our spreadsheet, tell them why we
want to sell their products. And specifically how we do that
is by telling them this is goingto be Step 4 here, our launch
(14:24):
strategy, because when you are anew store, right, by the way, I
should, I should mention this too.
When we have a demo store, we'renot telling them like, oh, we've
been in business for X amount oftime and then X amount of sales.
No, we tell them, you know, in this case, hey, this is Anton's
calling, Anton calling from rugsdepot.com.
We want to sell your products for XYZ.
We, you can go to our website now and take a look at it just
(14:45):
to see how your products would look on our store.
We are planning on launching andwhatever that date may be,
right? And it'd be 30 days out or 60
days out, but we have a launch strategy.
We tell them why we want their products on it by the launch
date. We give them our marketing
strategy and we we pitch ourselves right.
Some another way you could thinkabout this is if you were going
to a job interview when you wanted to get a job, Hopefully
(15:06):
you don't just walk in and say like, yeah, I would really like
a job here. And they say why?
And you say, well, you know, I want to make some more money.
I would really like a job. It it doesn't work, you need to
sell yourself or in this case sell your company.
So the launch strategy and having the demo store definitely
helps to sell yourself when you make those phone calls to become
an authorized retailer. Now again, I kind of alluded to
this earlier, but let's just sayyou find 30 different suppliers
(15:28):
while doing your research that we covered on the previous step.
There's a good chance you might have, you know, a 50% or a 75%
approval rate in the beginning, meaning possibly half of them,
let's say you found 30, maybe 15of them are going to tell you,
sorry, not right now. And they might say, we're
currently not accepting new retailers.
Come back to us in the new year.Come back to us once you've
(15:49):
reached X amount of monthly website visitors, come back to
us once you've reached X amount of revenue, whatever that may
be. That will happen.
That's why we want to find enough suppliers so we could
still build a very healthy business even if we only have a
50% approval rating. So the 5th step here is to take
excellent notes, OK? Because even if you only have a
(16:09):
50% approval rating in the beginning, you want to know why
the other 50% said no or said not right now?
Because these businesses, right, these stores we build these drop
shipping stores, they are not short term players.
Yes, we want to get them as profitable as they can be in the
shortest amount of time possible.
But the way that we build and right now I can relate this to
(16:30):
everything we do in our businesses, which is obviously a
lot more than supplier sourcing. But everything we do is designed
to compound and grow on itself over time.
Meaning that even if we get our store profitable in 21 days, we
know in three months we're goingto be able to get that thing a
much more profitable in six months, in a year, in five
years, in 10 years. These aren't short term
businesses that we try and see how things work out.
(16:53):
These are things we build for the long term, whether we
eventually want to exit them andsell them, whether we want to
pass it down to a family member. These are built for long term
growth. So take excellent notes with
every single supplier you speak to so that when the time is
right, you could follow up and eventually maybe your 50%
authorization rate in the beginning becomes 70, becomes
(17:13):
90, and eventually becomes 100. And then your store can reach
its full potential when it comesto the suppliers you sell for.
So guys, if you want more information on this, I do have a
free training that thousands of people have been through with
great results. If you want to check that out,
go to drop ship webinar.com, DROPSHIP webinar.com.
(17:34):
As a bonus there I'm going to give you 500 profitable product
ideas you could sell online. We'll also dive deeper into this
research. And by the way, if you do want
another video, I'll mention thisagain, but on conversion rate
optimization type CRO in the comments.
And if you want another video ontraffic, type, traffic in the
comments. And based on what I see, I can
kind of determine if I even should make one of them and
(17:55):
which one I should make next. Again, if you got value, type
value. And with that being said, I'll
be back to see you in the next episode here on Dropship
Lifestyle. Thank you everybody.
