(00:20):
fantasy roll enthusiasts. I know youplann to be joining my son, Eat
Sleep Fantasy Jack, Eat Sleep fantasSee Eat Sleep Fantasy. Hello everybody,
and welcome to another episode of theEat Sleep Fantasy Football Podcast. My name

(00:42):
is Dale. Thanks for joining us. We have a special episode because we
are look as we get closer andcloser to draft season, what better way
to celebrate than to do am K. So today we are going to do
another mock draft. We've got greatresponses from y'all. I don't know,
I just said, y'all, Ilike barely. I'm in the North Line.
I've been living here for like tenyears, and I think I'm starting

(01:02):
to say that more and more. But anyways, we are going to do
another much draft. This time wereI would like to draft in the seventh
position. It's kind of right inthe middle, you know, It's one
is I feel like one oh oneis kind of extreme, although I know
it's nice to know, Hey,who would you pick? Not necessarily at

(01:23):
the one oh one, but maybein the second, third, fourth rounds.
I think that's where it gets interestingfor the one on one spot.
But I'm gonna try to do rightin the middle. Why not at one
oh seven. We're gonna do todayat twelve team league, We're gonna do
PPR. Seems like everybody nowadays.PPR is much more popular, definitely than
it was a few years ago.But I think it's become more popular than

(01:45):
even standard, is what it seems, at least in my circle of fantasy
football players. So we're gonna dothat today, and it's gonna be a
lot of fun. I have afeeling I know what's gonna happen. First
of all, I do want toapologize. Last time, my audio was
kind of screwed up. I triedto edit the best and I'm sure everybody
got pissed off and didn't listen tome. But this is gonna be much

(02:06):
better, and we're gonna have alot of fun. We're gonna have a
lot of fun on fan tracks, you guys. I look, we're gonna
be talking about them all offseason becausewe're using them for a ton of leagues.
We are also doing their mock drafton fan tracks. If you guys
haven't done that, I'm telling yougo sign up fantracks dot com, slash
eesf, get a user name, and go do the mock drafts on there.
There's actual real life people there thatare mocking every single day. It's

(02:30):
fun to do brand new interface. If you guys haven't been there in a
while, definitely check it out. It's it's worth it. It's worth it,
definitely. Um. I know alot of you guys league hop and
go from different platforms. If you'renot on fantracks, if you don't have
a league there yet, you mightwant to consider telling your league mates too
to check it out fantracks dot com, slash EESFU. It's it's it's a

(02:52):
ton of fun. Anyways, allright, we're gonna get started pretty soon.
My look, I don't have asI don't really have a good solid
strategy going in. I definitely tryto base off value wherever that falls.
If I go running back, runningback, it's because the running backs were
the best off the board at thattime. I go wide receiver, wide
receiver. It means the same thing. The only real difference for me is

(03:15):
understanding the tiers of my rankings, which will be publishing soon, and you
know, just the general construction.Obviously, you don't want to start a
draft with six running backs and thenyou're struggling for the rest of the time.
So you want to I like tohave at least somewhat balanced and less
crazy value falls to me. ButI have fallen in that trap where you

(03:38):
know, I start, you know, wide receiver, wide receiver, wide
receiver in the first three rounds, and then you know I end up you
know, I don't know, draftingMike Davis as my running back one big
mistake, big mistake. Anyways,we're gonna get started. A quick question
for you guys. I know alot of people that are listening are probably

(03:59):
round my age, you know,in their third thirties, forties, maybe
not forties. I just turned forty. I'm probably one of the older people
on this podcast that you're listening to. But I know a lot of people
are like, especially in their thirties. I think this is like a big
time thing. Should I be embarrassedthat I always don't know where like northeast
southwest are Like if I look atthe sun it's in the morning, I

(04:21):
know, okay, it's the east, or if it's neft new and I
know it's west for the most part. But a lot of times lately,
especially older guys, like in theirfifties sixty seventies, they'll explain things and
directions all the time, like,oh, you know, just go to
the south side of that building,or you know the southeast corner of the
building is this, or that Iwork outside a lot. So that's why

(04:42):
I'm coming with these these suggestion, these examples. But I feel like it's
coming more and more common the olderI get that people are explaining things to
me in direction sense, and Istill don't, like I don't have a
good um like internal compass for thatcan be the only one. I just
want to get that off my chest. I hope I'm not the only one.
If I'm not, you guys justlet me know if I am,

(05:05):
you know, text me DMI orwhatever and tell me that I'm an idiot.
But I really hope that i'm not. I hope that you guys are
on board with me, because it'shappening a lot the older I get.
I think the older guys think thatI'm older, and no, maybe I
don't know, but it's it's happeninga lot lately. So it's kind of
scaring me that I need to figureout this internal compass that I definitely don't

(05:28):
have. But all right, let'sget started. The draft is just now
starting again on fantraks dot com.Make sure you check it out. I
will be posting this on our YouTubechannel as well, so you guys can
follow along and see the content andeverything there. All right, So first
pick Um, no surprise, ChristianMcCaffrey was taken. Then Austin Ekeler,

(05:48):
Jordan, Justin Jefferson, Cooper Cup, Jamar Chase. Where the first five
that's you know, Usually I wouldsay Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, and
a PPR going way sooner than youknow. Fifth pick, But there we
are. Cooper Cup was taken beforeJamar Chase. Interesting, do I hate

(06:09):
it? Kind of kind of Ithink I would have Chase or Jefferson before
Cup. But whatever, it's fine. I'm picking up one seven. I
have players such as Bijean Robinson,Tony Pollard, Jonathan Taylor, Tyreek Hill,
Stefan Diggs. I've gotten burned bynot trusting some of these rookies,

(06:32):
especially nowadays, rookie running backs arenot what they used to be. So
get that out of your head.I know I'm talking a lot of old
people, but you know, beforeit was like, oh, Adrian Peterson
was, you know, the unicorn. That's not the case anymore. We're
seeing a lot of guys coming rightout of college making making a big impact.
So for it for PPR, BijeanRobinson, you can catch the ball
as well. I think I'm goingBijean at one oh seven for my first

(06:57):
overall pick. I'm gonna take astep here. I just think, look,
we know Jonathan Taylor is exciting electric. I don't know what happened last
year, but I'm a little afraid. I think that Robinson's ceiling could be
just as high as Jonathan Taylor's.In his floor, I think might be
a little better than Jonathan Taylor's.So I think, just for that alone,

(07:18):
I am drafting Robinson of the theAtlanta Falcons rookie running back as my
first pick. So I did that, and oh, by the way,
guys, I'm gonna try to editthis a little bit, because mock drafts
can kind of go on depending onwho picks what. So I'm not going

(07:39):
to try to kill airtime the entiretime and with silence or me just blabbering
about, you know, directional stuff. So I will be trying to edit
some of the you know, deadair out in between while you know,
the picks go. So I willif you notice that. I hope you
don't, but if you do,I'm gonna try my best to edit it

(08:01):
so you're not waiting the whole timefor me to pick another player. So
at one o eight was Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelsey, Cde Lamb. Jonathan
Taylor was taken at the eleventh overallpick, and then Tony Pollard at one
twelve. I really like Josh Jacobsgoing early second round, Stevenson early second

(08:26):
round, Stefan Diggs a'm on SaintBrown was taken at two oh five.
So here I am at two ohsix. I'll let you guys know,
scream into the podcast, speaker, radio or phone whatever you're listening to.
Scream at it. Let me knowwho to take. Guys like Nick Chubb,
who I just acquired in a DynastyLeague of Mine, which I'm really
excited Nick Chubb. I traded NickChubb. I got Nick Chubb for a

(08:48):
first and second round pick next year. What do you guys think about that?
I really need a running back.My best running back was James Connor
and that's it. But anyways,Nick Chubb is available. I think he's
kind of the no brainer here,Naj Harris, Derek Henry. As far
as wide receivers go, We're lookingat Davanta Adams and Garrett Wilson. We

(09:11):
talked about Garrett Wilson last episode alot. I know a lot of people
like him. I think I'm gonnago running back here, Davante Adams.
Let's see Davante Adams or Nick Chubb. I'm going Nick Chubb here. So
I'm starting my draft with Bijean RobinsonNick Chubb. I don't think anybody's gonna

(09:33):
yell on me for that. Ifyou guys don't know, I'm really scared
that people are gonna yell at me. Maybe it's something to do with my
childhood. I don't know, butI went with Nick Chubb. So I'm
pretty happy Nick Chubb. Be JeanRobinson start after Nick Chubb went guys such
as Jared Sorry, guys such asDavanta Adams, Jalen Waddle, Travis st

(10:01):
In, Mark Andrews was taken thebeginning of the third. That's not a
horrible pick. Bruce Hall in thebeginning of the third. Jamar Gibbs,
we talked about him a lot lastepisode. At the three h three,
he was taken. Joe Mixon wastaken right before my pick. And so
it's Chris Olave. So I'm lookingat three oh seven. I have two

(10:22):
running backs. I'm probably not goingto go another running back. This is
where it kind of strategy starts creepingin for me, even if it's value,
even if there's a strong running back, which yeah, there's really not.
We have Kenneth Walker and Aaron Jonesis available. Those are the two
only guys i'd really look at righthere. JK. Dobbins even yeah,

(10:43):
I wouldn't risk taking a third runningback this early in the first three rounds.
So I'm gonna look at wide receiversDavanta Smith, Te Higgins, DK
Metcalf and that's that's really about it. We're not going to look at quarterbacks.
No quarterbacks been taken yet, whichis interesting. A lot of times
in these mock drafts, people tryand you know, reach and stuff,

(11:05):
but so far no quarterbacks. Soit's three oh seven, I'm gonna look
at a wide receiver. I'm goingte Higgins. I know. I went
Tea Higgins the last mock two atthree oh seven. Man, I just
I think Joe Burrow is just gonnaget better and better and Jamar Chase can't
catch every single ball that every singlepossession passing play for Joe Burrow. So

(11:28):
I'm going te Higgins here. Ithink this is a good start at Tea
Higgins at three oh seven, SoI'm starting off pretty good. Nick Chubb,
Bijean Robinson, and and the guyjust picked Tehggins sorready forgot. After
that, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahonswere taken in the early fourth round.

(11:54):
I was kind of expecting that sooneror later. Not not a bad value
for those guys, as well asKenneth Walker Aaron Jones were taken basically the
guys I talked to you about,Deebo Samuel Should I have picked Deebo over
T Higgins? Deebo Samuel Warrant Rightafter t Higgins. I don't know if
I should have picked him or not, but I didn't. Anyways, So

(12:15):
now we're looking at we are pickingat four O six, four O six,
the sixth pick of the fourth round. I'll tell you, guys,
who's available. Damian Pierce not bad. I think I can wait another round
for Damian Pierce. I have afeeling cam Akers the Hey, it's kind

(12:37):
of weird on Damian Pierce. Idon't I mean, I don't know.
I think he's a solid RB twofor anybody in the fourth round why not.
But I'm gonna wait on Damian Pierce. I think if I can get
him in the fifth round, Ithink Damian Pierce is a solid value.
Calvin Ridley, I really like ChrisGodwin, DJ Moore, DD Moore Now

(12:58):
at Chicago Bear Amari Cooper is theretoo. Does Deshaun Watson play good enough
to get Mary Cooper the ball enoughto you know, have enough scoring opportunity.
I'm between Mary Cooper and Calvin Ridleyright now in my rankings. I
think they're back to back. I'mgoing I'm I'm going Calvin Ridley here.

(13:24):
I think I'm going. I thinkI trust Trevor Lawrence as a quarterback more
than Deshaun Watson. I don't know. That might not be a popular opinion.
I'm going Calvin Ridley, Calvin Ridley. I took Calvin Ridley at four
oh six. After that, let'ssee who was picked. Mary Cooper of

(13:50):
course, right after that. Itmakes me think that I should draft from
Mary Cooper first. If somebody jumpson him right after my pick, I
always hate when that happens. JalenHurts another quarterback, Lamar Jackson another quarterback
in the fourth round. So basicallyall the elite guys were taken. All
the elite quarterbacks were taken in thefourth round. That's pretty typical I would
expect. I would have expected thequarterback taken in the third round. Usually

(14:13):
that happens in most mock drafts. But by the time the fourth round ends,
the elite guys should be gone.In redraft, right, James Connor
was taken at the end of thefourth JK. Dobbins, DJ Moore,
Jerry Judy, Joe Burrow was takenright before my pick here. So we're
looking at five oh seven, theseventh pick in the fifth round. I'm

(14:37):
looking at really all positions because bythis time, I have two running backs
and two wide receivers. So doI you know, do I stay super
balance and look for a tight end? I don't think so. There's nobody,
you know, George Kittle, KylePitts, I'm not I'll wait.
There's so many good tight ends, decent tight ends that can that could be

(14:58):
just fine. I'm not worried aboutthat right now. The quarterbacks, So
I jump on somebody like Justin Herbertor Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields. I'm
gonna wait on quarterback as well.I'm gonna look at a running back.
And like I said, Damian Pierceis still there in the middle of the
fifth round. I think this isprobably where Damian Pierce should go. I
don't think, you know, likeI said, the fourth round, maybe
a little bit early, depending onthe draft goes, but I think that

(15:20):
was maybe a little bit early.Do you take Damien Pierce or Shod White.
I'm going Damian Pierce. I'm goingDamian Pierce. I think he has
good upside. He's still young too, you can get the job done.
After After I drafted Damian Pierce herein the seventh pick of the fifth round,

(15:46):
Dalvin Cook, DeAndre Hopkins, DrakeLondon, Terry McLaurin, Pittman,
Kyle Pitts. They were all takenin the sixth round. I'm looking at
six h six. Look right now, I'll tell you who I have Bejean
Robinson, Nick Chubb, T Higgins, Caln Ridley, Damian Pierce at my

(16:06):
flex. So that basically fills outthe skilled players pretty much. Right now,
I gotta fill my bench or Igotta look at a tight end a
quarterback. I think I'm still stackingmy bench up. Javonte Williams, they
just came out and said that hewas looking good. That he said he's
quote unquote ready for John Dave Williams, David Montgomery, a new Detroit Lion.

(16:30):
You know what direction do I go? Isaiah Pack yet peceo? Is
that how you say his name asa peceo? I guess I think do
I take him high flying offense?I think I'm going Now, these guys

(16:52):
are really screaming, screaming out tome. Honestly, guys, it's you
know, this is a kind oflike No Man's land. Brandon Yuk right
here, because I got Calvin Ridleyand T Higgins winch aren't home runs.
Maybe I go a little a littleharder and get somebody like Brandon Aiyuk or
Christian Kirk. I'm gonna reach forBrandon Aiyuk. I think you guys are

(17:18):
gonna at me. Man. It'sa tough one, this tough decision.
Where do I go? David MontgomeryM guy's weird noise? I'm sorry if
I did that right in your ear, I wouldn't not be surprised if you
turned that off. Right now, let's go. I'm gonna reach for Brandon

(17:38):
Aiyuk just because I like to watchhim play. I do like to watch
the Niners play. I'm gonna draft. I'm gonna drove from brand Yuk.
I reach for him. I mayhave gotten him in the seventh round.
I understand that, but just incase, you never know. If you
like to watch a guy and youlike to watch a team, why not
go for him. This is whatthis is all about, right, all
right, I'm gonna pick one moreguy, one more one more player here,

(18:02):
and then I will recap. I'mgonna go for two. Yeah,
I see now going for quarterbacks rightnow. Jshahn Watson, Dak Daniel Jones
too, they're all available. I'mpretty sure I can wait another two rounds,
pick up some skill players and stillget Daniel Jones or two in a
few rounds. Like I really feelthat way. So I'm not gonna go

(18:22):
for a quarterback. I'm gonna gofor a running back. I know this
is really balanced because I have evennumber running back in wide receivers. I'm
gonna go Javonte Williams Denver Broncos. He says he's ready, and we all
trust football players when they say thatthey're ready, right, So I'm gonna
go Javonte Williams. That is myseven round mock right there. I will

(18:45):
I want to discuss this a littlebit because this is the best time to
learn, I mean, for me, for everybody, right, I would
love to hear discussion on the Nationprivate group. If somebody wants to start
that thread and tell me how wrongor right I am, that'd be amazing.
John Robinson, Nick Chubb, THiggins, Calvin Ridley, Damian Pierce.
That's basically my starting lineup and BrandonAiyuk and Javanto Williams. I think

(19:11):
that's a pretty solid start. Imean, there's you know, now,
this is a time where you startplugging in holds a little bit. You
know, Khalil Herbert would be solid. Brian Robinson for the Commanders, that's
a solid pick two. So Ithink there's a lot of value here.
They're not gonna be home run hittersmaybe, but I think there's a lot
of value here that you can getin the eighth and ninth and tenth rounds

(19:32):
of your fantasy drafts. I willdo that with I'll do that with Clayton
on the next mock draft episode. But if you guys like these mock drafts,
let me know if you hate them. If you're like you know you'd
rather hear about rankings or breaking downplayers, we can do that as well.
These mock drafts are kind of funfor me. It gives me more
exposure to what's going on and wherepeople are looking at different players. So

(19:53):
it's always it's always fun for me. But my voice is going out.
Make sure this is still recording.Yeah, it's still recording. Good,
