(00:21):
brother enthusiasts. I know you plannedto be joining my son Eat Sleep Fantasia
Jack, Eat Sleep Fantasie, EatSleep Fantasie. Hello everybody, and welcome
to another episode of the Eat SleepFantasy Football Podcast. My name is Dale.

(00:43):
Thanks for joining me. Oh asalways listen today, I know every
time I do a solo podcast.First of all, this is your first
time listening. Thank you for listening, Thank you for downloading. This is
not what a normal episode sounds likebecause it's just me today, and if
it is your first time, I'msorry, maybe you should just stop listening
and just go to the next episodeof ours. We have a ton of
episodes. I think this is episodelike four, like four fifty or something

(01:07):
like that. I think. Anyways, I'm going to try to do an
entire podcast without saying or um,it's gonna be very interesting. I'm gonna
really try, very very hard.I try every single time. It's really
hard when you're just recording solo.If you guys are gonna make fun of
me, it's okay, but youhave not tried it. It's really hard.
And it's kind of just in mynature to say a lot for some

(01:29):
reason, maybe because I'm not goodwith words, and I probably shouldn't have
a podcast, but you should definitelylisten to this podcast this episode, because
I'm going to give you some newsthat maybe you need to know. It's
basically, we're gonna do like thisweek's news. Look, it's the offseason.
There's not a lot of movement. We can go through rankings over and
over and over again. We coulddo, you know, mock drafts over
and over, which is okay,But this time we're just gonna go through

(01:52):
some news that just to kind ofkeep you guys up to speed a little
bit. I think it's important soyou don't get a big giant news dump,
you know, a day before yourdraft. So I'm gonna give you
a little bit of news that maybeyou need to know and just move on.
And it'll be a quick and easyone. If you guys don't know
I know you guys have heard mea ton of ton of a ton of
times mentioned fantracks. This episode ispresented by Fantracks. Make sure you guys

(02:14):
check them out at fantracks dot comslash e SF. Totally customizable fantasy football
platform. Really all sports you playthere, you have like NASCAR, F
one baseball for sure, make sureyou check them out. Fantracks dot com
slash eesf awesome interface, very verycustomizable when it comes to fantasy football leagues.

(02:35):
Make sure you check that out.Fantracks dot com slash e SF definitely
worth it. All right, guys, I'm not gonna get into a lot
of b s today. I'm notI don't have any do I I don't
think I have any really big Oh. I went camping. Maybe I'll talk
about camping a little bit. Ifyou guys have not been camping with three
children six and under, I advisednot to do it. It's especially if

(02:59):
it's the first time going out, first time camping with the family, and
it was not very you know,it was fun, it was fun,
but it was very hard on ourfamily. Let's just say that marriage isn't
easy for those that are not marriedanyways. So let's just get right into
the news today. I am recordingthis on Thursday afternoon. Jalen Ramsey,

(03:23):
Miami Dolphins player, was carted offthe field after limping. He was seen
limping after defending a pass. Sowe have to keep an eye on what
Jalen Ramsey's the impact of this.It was his left knee. You know
that he's gonna he should be avery important part of this Dolphins defense,
which should spark the offense. Ifthis defense stays healthy and shows out,

(03:49):
I think to the dynamic duo ofWaddle and Hill should flourish. But we
gotta we just gotta wait and seewhat happens. Jaylen Ramsey was carted off.
No reports yet on how he wasdoing, but he was holding his
left knee, something that you knowlook out for. You know, there's
a lot of players either not practicingor leaving practice early. I'm not really

(04:12):
worried too much about any of itright now. There's a lot of players
that just like to, you know, have a little bit of time off.
You see this every single year wheresomebody's a little sick, like Corey
Davis had an illness, didn't comeinto practice. I'm not too worried about
stuff like that. Garrett Wilson tweakedhis ankle, he exits. He exited

(04:34):
practice early today as well. Hewas able to jug off the field just
fine. No problems there. Butthey don't think that it's gonna be a
problem moving forward. You just mightmiss a few days of practice again,
like they I think, you know, you know how it is when you
just want a day all four right. I think this is kind of like
the same thing said, No bigdeal there, David shutting a joku.

(04:56):
Also a lot of players just notpracticing. Alan Lazar didn't practice. News
headline came out of Cleveland. ElijahMoore could see more work out of the
backfield, which is interesting. Atfirst, I read this coach Stefanski,
how you say his name, KevinStefanski, he said he's positionless. At

(05:17):
first, I read this headline liketen times and I kept thinking it said
pointless and it was not making anysense to me. But the coach said
he's positionless. So yeah, ifdeep in drafts, he has a lot
in him. Right now, he'sranked around like the forty fifth best wide
receiver among fantasy wide receivers. Ithink this could jump if this uh oh

(05:42):
manager said, I think this couldjump if the hype keeps building, building
throughout the offseason, keep an eyeout on the you know, Elijah Moore
and see what see what comes ofthis. See if he's getting a lot
of reps in the backfield, becauseobviously the more times you touch the ball,
the more valuable you are. Soif Elijah Moore was going to see
four or five passes caught passes, maybe he gets four or five catches or

(06:06):
handoffs or you know views from thebackfield, that's doubling his production or doubling
his opportunity to score, doubling hisopportunity for fantasy points. So I would
definitely take a look right now.Wide receiver forty five in Fantasy Pros Expert
consensus rankings. I think he's aroundforty in my rankings. So definitely keep

(06:28):
an eye out for Elijah Moore, keep just following his name and watch what
he does. I bet she's goingto creep up into the thirties before the
end of the season if this hypekeeps going the way it's going. Amari
Cooper didn't practice. I'm not tooworried about that. Let's see Dalvin Cook.
Look the it's this stuff is good. Continue for Daln Cook until he
signs. Where's he going right now? He's visiting the Patriots. Who knows.

(06:54):
The Patriots really don't have anybody behindRomantre Stevenson. You know, they
have time Montgomery, you know,at best. So I think Dalind Cook
could definitely make a splash here inNew England. Right now, Daln Cook
is in the late twenties among runningbacks like twenty six, twenty seven,
twenty eight, somewhere around there. As far as rankings, as soon as

(07:16):
he signs, he's gonna get bumpedup at least six spots, you know,
at least a half around no matterwhere he goes, and if he
lands somewhere nice like I think NewEngland, really New England were the Jets
New England, New York. Ithink his value is going to be a
pretty pretty nice So keep it out. It's still Dalind Cook. We're gonna

(07:36):
be talking about him until he signedsomewhere, maybe still Miami, who knows,
Although Miami, those headlines have kindof passed us for some reason.
But now I still think of itas Miami, New York or New England
it's where daland Cook's gonna land. And I don't think any of those are
bad spots for Daln Cook to jumpup. If you're drafting today, I

(07:57):
would draft him as you know,a top twenty five running back, top
twenty, maybe you know twenty four, twenty three, top you know running
back to a low end running backtoo right now, no matter what,
and he's going after that, soI take advantage of that. James Cook
Bills running back. The offensive coordinatorCan Dorsey for the Bill Flow Bills says

(08:18):
that he has potentially be a threedown back and really, if you guys
didn't hear the Maheim Nines Maheim Hinesnews, Maheim Hines is out for the
season, So what could happen withJames Cook? He could kind of step
in and fill that role. Theydo have Damien Harris, Latavius Murray,
dar Darton Evans. I think JamesCook it's his job to win. I

(08:43):
really do. Damien Harris is valuable, he's good. I think he's gonna
be complimentary back if James Cook kindof step up a little bit, which
I think he will. I likeJames Cook right now. He's in the
top thirty among running backs. Maybethat's appropriate, you know, as a
high end flex play. I wouldreally like him as as as a flex
option if I'm drafting tomorrow, soyou should too. There's not a lot

(09:09):
of other news. Kyle Trask, his mentions are coming up. Competing against
maker Baker Mayfield in Tampa Bay reallydoesn't really do anything with You're not drafting
Kyle Trask or Baker Mayfield. Doesit really affect Mike Evans or Chris Godwin
too much? No, I don'tthink either of these quarterbacks make a big

(09:31):
difference to These quarterbacks don't make abig difference to the wide receivers. They're
both kind of wide receiver proof forthe most part. And that's uh.
Let's see, there were I thinkthey were a couple of other pieces of
news here, did you guys? You guys remember John Ross, right,
the guy who broke the forty yarddash record just a few years ago.

(09:52):
He retired after spending time with theKansas City He was in New York,
and of course I think he's draftedby the Bengals. Wasn't he early like
top ten pick for the for theCincinnati Bengals. Anyways, he retired from
the NFL. He you know, was bouncing on and off the injured reserve
list, and he's he's gone,He's done. He says he's retired.

(10:16):
I don't have a quote from him, but it just says John Ross retires.
Very interesting. Good for him.I hope he has a good retirement.
What do you do when you're twentysomething? What is he's probably he's
probably not, I mean, thirtyyears old. What do you do?
I don't know. I guess hejust bathed in all your money, have
money of a money pit that he'sswimming like Scrooge McDuck. Anthony Richardson.

(10:39):
He's working out with a second teamin Indianapolis. I think he's still the
obvious pick for the Colts to startWeek one, but I think they're just
taking his time, taking their time. He doesn't have a lot of experience
in quarterbacks. You know, hewas a one year He was a one
year starter for the Gators and that'sit. So I think they're kind of
taking their time with him. Buthe'll end up being He'll end up being

(11:03):
a solid quarterback this year doesn't matterreally what happens in the next couple of
weeks and te Higgins even though he'sasking for a new contract. He's still
out there practicing. Not a lotof players do that nowadays, right te
Higgins is practicing even though he's askingfor a new contract. And I think
that's about it, guys. Yeah, nothing really going on here. Oh

(11:28):
DeAndre Swift. There's a lot oftalk on him, if you guys.
I know, we kind of talkedabout this before, but they're saying he's
going to be used as a passcatcher, big time pass catcher, which
is huge news for his fantasy value. If he is, that just means
he's going to uh, he's gonnalive it up that a high powered offense.
He's gonna have a lot of opportunitiesto score. I don't care who's

(11:50):
in front of him, behind himplaying running back. If he's on the
field to catch the ball, Ithink him and Jalen Hurtz can be very
dangerous. And really, guys, that's all the news. That's all the
news I really wanted to give you. Again, this is just stuff.
I think it's important to kind ofpepper in news throughout the all seasons.
So you're not thinking, like,oh man, when did DeAndre Swift get

(12:11):
to the Eagles, now, youknow, right, A lot of people
don't pay attention to fantasy football.A lot of people just don't pay atention
to fantasy football until it's time fortheir draft. So it's good to kind
of pepper in these these headlines. So I hope you guys got something out
of anything I said. Maybe youknew it all already, maybe not.
It's okay regardless. You've listened tome for like ten minutes, so it's

(12:35):
