welcome back for another season of theFantasy Football from podcast. We're pumped start

(03:40):
talking fantasy again with you all, trying to give you all the content you
need to win your fantasy leagues thisyear. So before we jump into it,
though, however, I just wantto touch on a couple of things,
um when it comes to this upcomingseason. Starting today, before we
basically before the start of the season, we're just going to be breaking down

(04:00):
our rankings, some sleepers, somebreakout players, just to mention a few
that when the season starts, we'llbe doing our usual three shows three to
four shows a week, waiver episode, game breakdowns, and of course our
vote slouch on the sneaky episode,so those will be back for another season.
Okay, alrighty, let's get intothe show. Joining me today to
discuss some quarterback Running back rankings isa voice you should all get used to

(04:24):
hearing Garrett. What's up, myman? Good, hey man, how
are you doing? Thanks for havingme? Hey, excited to start talking
football again. It's been it's beena while. Life, life's been pretty
hectic. So that's why this yearis a little bit different. It's going
to be pretty much well, Imean, hopefully you'll be a regular on
the show. We got Garrett,we got Riley, we got Happy,

(04:46):
and we got myself. So hopefullyyou'll be hearing you know a few of
us every week. Maybe you knowall four of us will get on at
some point together. But as ofright now, it should we should have
enough guys to get this thing started. So so today, let's talk some
quarterback rankings. Garrett, I basicallyI basically break my quarterback my rankings down

(05:09):
into tears. So I will giveyou what I got and then you from
there, you tell me what yourthoughts are and all that stuff like that.
So my first group, my firsttier guys, are going to be
guys that you could pretty much swap. It doesn't really matter how much it
goes like who goes wearing this. But my rankings are listed as Jalen Hurts,

(05:30):
Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes. Now, how I base this tears.
These guys are all very active passersand they also have rushing ability on
top of that. So I'll startwith Jalen Hurts. The fact is he
he has more value with his legsthan almost any other quarterback in the league.
We saw him rush. You know, he's averaging nearly ten rush attempts

(05:54):
at game in twenty twenty two,let all quarterbacks with thirteen touchdowns. So,
I mean, as far as thisgoes, the fact that he's going
to be basically taking all those prettymuch goal line rushes, and the fact
he's got one of the best receivingweapons or cores in the league. To
be h, I'm not too worriedwith Hurts. I think he's going to

(06:15):
keep rolling rolling into the season, and I think he could finish as a
QB one this year. Yeah. No, that's that's fair. I got
I got Hurts is my number threeon my list. Um all, I've
kind of heard what you've touched ona lot of it is I've heard from
like just Eagles training camp, justlike listening to things around that they're gonna

(06:35):
maybe veer away a bit from hislegs as much I know, he had
like thirteen rushing touchdowns last year.I think they're veering away from that just
a bit just for the longevity ofthem. But he's explosive, he's big,
and I mean, no one canstop that sneak. We saw it
in Super Bowl, we saw iteverywhere. You couldn't stop him on fourth
and one's he squats over six hundredpounds. He's a big boy. So

(06:56):
yeah, and I mean, Imean, throwing wise, he had a
twenty two to six touched on interceptionratio, rushed one hundred and six to
three times for almost eight hundred heartsand thirteen ts. Yeah, that's huge
for quarterback. So yeah, okay, next three games last year, So
yes, I mean you you you, yeah, you break down those averages
and you're just going to see,uh you know, see those numbers.

(07:19):
Yeah, like you said, justmove up. Um. And then like
I mentioned, I meant to JoshAllen, Patrick Mahomes, I mean,
they're all similar, you know, similar as far as dual threability goes.
UM. I just that's why Imentioned, you know, as far as
this grouping goes, it doesn't reallymatter who you have won two or three.

(07:40):
UM. I mean, if I'mlanding either of these quarterbacks as my
QB one, I mean, you'reyou're laughing, to be honest, on
your fantasy team. So all threeof these guys, they averaged over twenty
four fantasy points per game and rushfor over three hundred fifty yes or sorry.
And they all rushed for over threehundred fifty yards and averaged over seven

(08:01):
and a half passing yards per attempt. So I mean, this tier is
pretty much a given. I mean, you're you're laughing if you got any
one of these guys, No,I would agree, all right, anything
else you want to touch on anyof those guys, No, No,
you kind of said it all.I mean, the tape on the homes
Allen and Hurts kind of speaks foritself. Moms, coming off the MVP

(08:22):
season, Josh Allen just doing phenomenalthings. And I know Josh Allen's working
on his ball security a bit,is taking care of it better. So
cut those interceptions down. He's tobe on the field much more. It's
gonna be great. Yeah, exactly, all right. The next group I
got going, I mean they're prettymuch the same kind of guys. They
still good, They're going to betheir dual threat quarterbacks just a little bit

(08:46):
less than you know, the threeguys that had to hit the head of
them. That's where we got yourboy, Lamar Jackson, Jill Burrow,
Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, andJustin Herbert. Let's kick it off with
Lamar Jackson here, Um, Lamarmy issue here, I'm not I'm not
saying that Lamar Jackson doesn't deserve tobe here. He does. He could

(09:07):
be up in that first tier. However, his passings dipped, you know
over the last two seasons. That'skind of why I pushed him outside of
that top tier. Um. However, I mean, I have a feeling
that the Ravens are also going tofocus a little bit more on passing the
ball, um, you know, more more than they have um, especially

(09:28):
with the fact to Todd Munkin iscoming in as a OC and the fact
that they added Odell Beckham this yearon top of the drafting Zay Flowers.
Yeah. No, uh, it'syeah, it's been a tough couple of
years for Lamar. Ever since theMVP season, I do think the Ravens
are putting the pieces around him, starting with the OC. They got Rid

(09:50):
of Greg Rome and brought in theOC from Georgia, like you said,
and he's got weapons everywhere. He'sgot Bateman, ob J Flowers. Uh.
And then you always seem trying tofiget about Mark Andrews, who's yea,
honestly one of the best tight endsin the league. I see his
passing numbers being up there with careerhighs, and I just see him spreading
the ball around. He'll still usehis legs because it's the most dynamic part

(10:11):
of his game, but he's goingto be passing the ball a lot more.
And I do have say that thesethe Ravens are going to put those
pieces around and that you're really goingto see his arm come a lot.
Yeah. I mean, he onlyplayed twelve games last year. I mean
so, I mean his numbers, obviously passing numbers are going to be down
a little bit. However, ifyou look at his rushing attempts in those
twelve games, he had just asalmost just as many yards as you know,

(10:37):
Jalen Hurts, which who played threeof more games. He had just
as many as Josh Allen. Heplayed sixteen games, So he's going to
rush the ball still. However,I do feel as though they're gonna,
you know, they're gonna they're gonnahave a more balanced attack this season.
No, for sure, Joe Burrow. I mean we saw what Joe Burrow,

(10:58):
what Joe Burrow can do as faras his passing goes, almost forty
four almost forty five hundred yards throughthe air last year, thirty five touchdowns,
twelve interceptions, not really a dualthreat QB. But he did rush
the ball for over almost two hundredand sixty scored five times, So I
mean, I guess you could considerthat. You know, he can use

(11:22):
his legs when he needs to putit that way. So, like I
mentioned, added just over two hundredand fift yards on the ground last season.
However, it's a career high forhim. So he pretty much as
far as Burrow goes, he's he'snear locked. I think over four thousand
yards passing, thirty plus touchdowns toseason, as long as he's staying healthy.

(11:45):
Yeah no, I mean starting off, I know he's got that calf
injury. From what I've heard,he'll be good to go. Just a
bit of a cap strain. Yeah, No, he's like sneaky quick.
It's like when you like in thepocket. It's like when Ben Roethlisberger back
in the day would kind of breakfree. You don't really expect it,
but athletic enough to to break somebreaks and tackles, get those key first
downs with his legs when they've kindof locked down his receivers. No,

(12:07):
he's, he's His legs are definitelysomething um to like watch out for.
And then I mean, he's gotarguably the best receiving corps in the league,
like Jamar Chase t Higgins, Andthen you forget about Taj Boyd,
who's also a season veteran. Hesadly just dices everybody he plays to call
him Joey Burr for a reason. He's calm, cool, collected under pressure.

(12:30):
He's he's one hell of a quarterbackand he's gonna make a hell a
lot of players this year. Yeah. Yeah, I'm excited to have him
in one of my key for teamsand there's zero chance I'm letting him go
anywhere. Yeah. I got himat one of my leagues too, so
next year I got on. Here'sjustin fields. This is a little bit
questionable, um, However, rushingattempts per game last year ten per game.

(12:50):
He let all quarterbacks posted over elevenhundred yards on the ground with a
rushing touchdown, So his rushing abilityis there. However, his passing ability
still needs some work. However,if you take a look at Chicago's depth
chart, they did add a fewguys. Sorry, I'm just scrolling up
here. I just want to makesure that I'm not miss reading things.

(13:16):
But dj more, they added DarnellMooney, Chase Claypool, Chase Claypool,
all solid receivers. I think Fieldswill come into his own this year.
To go with the fact Khalil Herbert'sthere, Donet de Foreman, Roshaun Johnson
apparently banged up already in training camp. Ton of ton of injuries in training

(13:37):
camp. That's why I hate trainingcamp because and that's why that's why I
hate doing drafts before training camps aredone, because you always get stuck with
somebody that gets banged up. Soas long as as long as Fields can,
you know, continue to run,use his legs as much as he
does, and on top of that, you know, improve his passing game,

(13:58):
which I think he will. That'swhy I do have him as uh
in my top in my second tierof quarterbacks. No I would. I
would definitely have to agree with that. Like I mean, you saw last
year kind of reminiscent Lamar twenty nineteen. He's just busting up long runs.
Um, I know the coaching staffdoes want him to start sliding more.
So I've taking all these big hitsand then the addition that DJ Moore is

(14:20):
going to help us development tenfold.I mean, if you look at the
statistics, DJ Moore has more careerreceiving yards than any player that's ever played
for the Bears. So that justshows you the kind of lack of talent
they've had at that position over theyears. And I've heard from training camp
and stuff they're already on the samepage. They're looking like they've been together
forever and it's tearing up camp.So I do expect big things from fields.

(14:41):
He's definitely a good kind of secondtier kind of quarterback to take perfect
And I'll touch on just Trevor Lawrenceand Do Herbert real quick. You know
similar passing numbers is Burrow and Ithat's not going to change come twenty twenty
three. Basically, Lawrence has shownthat he is almost in that elite tier

(15:03):
of quarterbacks from what he did. However, we need to see a little
bit more rushing upside moving forward.Um, he did have a little bit
more than justin Herbert. That's whyI do have Lawrence a little just one
spot ahead of him in my rankings. Um, however, I mean you
you, you look at both thesereceiving receiving weapons that these quarterbacks have,

(15:24):
and you can't you can't go wrongwith with having any of these guys.
Yeah. No, Uh, TrevorLawrence will start there. He's uh,
he improved tremendously from year one ayear two. I don't I think Peterson's
going to really help him with hisdevelopment. And he's saying Calvin Ridley back
from the suspension list for the gamblingright, and Calvin Ridley is a hell

(15:48):
of a receiver. And I meanyou had that with what he's got there.
Zay Jones, Um, Christian Kirk, Christian Kirk, Christian Kirk.
Yes, I always forge about ChristianKirk Um. And then he's at ETN
as well, Tiens explosive and Ido know Lawrence has the potential of this
legs. I mean you watch itin that bowl game against Ohio State the
first time where he busted off thatbig eighty yard run to kind of keep

(16:10):
them switch the momentum. It's there. I think there's kind of protect him
them a bit. But Trevor Lawrenceis a winner and that will translate to
fantasy points. And then Herbert anotherreally great receiving corps. I mean,
Mike Williams, you know, KeenanAllen's a stud if those guys can stay
healthy. And then I've heard goodthings about Quinn Johnson coming out. He's
making big plays. He's not justrunning slants like in just deep routes.

(16:33):
He's making tremendous plays, making theright reads. And I mean he's the
highest paid quarterback and football for areason. Right, So we're gonna see
those points exactly all right, andpushing going down to my tier three,
We're only going to touch on probablyour top fifteen here, guys. We
could talk for days about all thesequarterbacks, but if we don't limit it,
and at one point, we'll justbe talking all days. So now

(16:55):
my tier three is basically the waythat I have these guys all lined up
is basically, guys, I feelas though can finish you know, top
twelve, top ten for most weekson a weekly basis, so I'm starting
with which we have no idea. However, Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones,

(17:15):
Geno Smith, Prescott, and KirkCousins. Richardson of course expected to start
Week one, selected fourth overall inthe draft, and his ability as a
pastor is kind of still into developmentstage, as we didn't really see much
of it in college. However, his uh, you can't doubt his athleticism

(17:37):
to use his legs, you knowwhen when he asked you, and the
fact that the weapons they do haveon this team are young. However,
the only thing that really is kindof concerned to me right now is which
we'll talk about when we get tothe running back stage, is this Jonathan
Taylor stuff. However, I feelas though he's going to be able to

(18:00):
do enough with his legs, andthat's what we want to fantasy's volume,
right And I mean, if he'sgoing to be running the ball, you
know, ten plus times game,I think he could he could finish quite
a few weeks inside the top twelveas a rookie. Yeah. No,
Richardson, like when they drafted him, tons of upside. I'm a tad
worried about. It's just his accuracy. He's got a cannon, but Kenny

(18:22):
put it on point. The receivers, like you said, are young,
Yeah, like Alex Pierce, MichaelPittman Jr. And then yeah, obviously
the Jonathan Taylor stuff is a tadconcerning because you would love to have Taylor
there to kind of take the pressureoff of him, kind of load up
the box a little more. Stufflike that. But I think Taylor will
play, it's just a matter ofwhere. But I do think there's a

(18:47):
lot of upside on Richardson. Idefinitely think you get him a little later.
He's not necessarily in my Tier threelike yours, But I like Anthony
Richardson. He's a elact trick exactlyso Daniel Jillarcino Smith. These are the
two guys who who you could draftlatent drafts, and I honestly feel like
there are some of the more bothof them are the most undervalue quarterbacks in

(19:12):
fantasy. To considering Jones his rushingupside, you know, he's got huge
fantasy value when it comes to running. On running, He's aftering nearly seven
Russian attempts per game over seven hundredyards on the ground last year. I
mean he's not going to be youknow, break off one for eighty ninety
yards because obviously he trips over hisown feet if you remember that game.

(19:37):
But I he threw just fifteen touchdowns. I feel as though that's going to
go up this coming season. AndI don't know, like I mentioned,
I mean, they drafted Jalen Hyatt, they got Slayton's still there, they
got Barkley in the backfield. Idon't see nothing but Daniel Jones's numbers to
continue to improve, both through theair and on the ground. Yeah.

(20:02):
No, the addition a high willhopefully allow the give the Giants to confidence
let him kind of sling it abit like I know when you watch Jones
tap, he's like a lot ofdrags in routes, you know, so
quick outs, um checking down toBarkley. Barkley's like his biggest savior.
So it's real big that he's comingback for at least another year. Um.
He's definitely undervalued, um and I'mhoping we can see him keep cutting

(20:22):
the interceptions down and just staying onthe field more. But yeah, he's
he's definitely a sleeper pick for sure, definitely later on great value. Yeah,
and don't forget the fact that theyadded Darren Waller as well, so
that's gonna be, yeah, bigweapon for him. Next time on the
list, I got Gino Smith.Basically, the only thing I can say

(20:44):
about Gino Smith is what he didlast year was quite impressive. And now
the receiving weapons, yeahs is justthey improved through the draft, you know,
adding adding and jig Ba to gowith you know, Metcalf, to
go with Tyler Lockett. I mean, I mean he did enough too.
Basically when I saw last year,he did enough to prove to me that

(21:06):
he can still be a you know, a low n QB one option in
twenty twenty three. Yeah, no, looking at it, looking at Smith's
numbers when I was just doing myresearch, doing my homework, I didn't
realize he threw for over forty twod yards. Yeah, quietly, doesn't
quiet, very very quietly. Thirtytouchdowns like it's more than so many quarterbacks.
And then, like you said, adding Smith and Jigba to already DK

(21:29):
Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, you can'tdouble. You can only double one of
them. They're gonna be open, they're quick, they're electric, their good
body control, he finished, saysthe QB five in fantasy, which is
crazy to me because yeah, Ididn't, like I said, quiet quietly,
he did all that. No,I was. I was definitely a
Geno hater coming into the next lastyear, and he's definitely done enough for
me to pull back on my myhatred and my my slander a bit.

(21:52):
And like I said, the statisticsspeak for himself. Um, yeah,
he's good. Uh Seattle, Seattleis going to be kind of a little
sneaky pick too, So yeah, yeah, great value of Geno Smith later
on for sure. Okay, andthen Dak Prescott pretty much rounds up my
top twelve quarterbacks. How I didhave a down down year last time last

(22:15):
year due to injury. Um,however, he still finished as a top
twenty in the top twelve rains infive of the past seven seasons. Um.
I do think he is a bigbounce back this coming season. However,
turnovers, you know, are hisdownfall career interception total of fifteen last
year. However, I just kindof think it's kind of uh, it's

(22:37):
just one of those things. It'sone of those seasons. Um. The
addition of you know, they gotBrandon Cooks now to go with um uh,
ceedee lamb. I mean who elseis there? Gallop gallop and stuff
like that. So, I meanthis team all around is going to be
a much better I do feel uhand Tony Pollard's there, So I mean,

(22:59):
I'm not worried about about Prescott everytime he does play. Sure,
if he can limit those turnovers,I mean we could say that about any
quarterback then then we're we're laughing.Yeah. No, he's also got to
overcome Mike McCarthy's horror management skills andclutch situations we all saw in that playoff
game against the Niners. Yeah no, he's if he stays healthy, ceedee

(23:22):
lamb will bail any quarterback out ofanything. But he's so good, he's
so good with the ball. AndDak Prescott isn't above average quarterback. He
is a good quarterback. Yeah,he said he's gonna cut the cut the
interceptions down, don't worry about theturnovers. And yeah, no, I
like Dak Prescott. I believe inthe Cowboys every year. I believe in
Dak Prescott every year and hopefully oneof these years that kind of proved me

(23:45):
right. Don't let me down asmuch. But Dak Prescott, Dak Prescott's
gonna sling the ball and it's Ithink it's gonna be a great year for
him. Okay. And Kirk Cousins, not much to really say on him.
I mean, he's just an affectthe pastor right, you know what
I mean. He's I think hefinishes a QB. I want to say
six or seven QB six last yearUS twenty nine touchdowns, fourteen interceptions.

(24:11):
You'd like to see those numbers downa little bit. Doesn't run the ball,
however, I mean you have aguy like Justin Jefferson there and now
you go Jordan Addison, He's justgoing to sling the ball even more.
Um So to me, that's whyI got Kirk Cousins. Uh, just
outside of my top twelve. Yeah, no, I'm I'm so incredibly high

(24:33):
on Kirk Cousins after watching that TheQB Show on Netflix. Try now,
like claud my judgment too much.Um yeah. And he's smart with the
ball. He puts in his homeworkyou kind of see. Um he's competitive.
I don't think people see that toomuch in him, just because he's
so calm, but he's uber competitive. And Justin Jefferson is the best receiver
in the league. Like it's likehe's the next Randy Moss, Like he

(24:55):
does so much for everybody. Andthen you had Addison. Addison's who's got
nothing but speed. He's going tokind of kind of dressing the pressure away.
Kirk Cousins, I think can improveon his numbers from last year.
I think he could throw over thetwenty nine touchdowns. I think he even
hit that five thousand yard marker. And I mean he's meticulous with what he
does. I think he's gonna cutthe interceptions. I'm so incredibly high.

(25:17):
And Kirk Cousins it makes me sick. Yeah, that's and there's not many
people to say that, so Iknow I'm in the minority right now.
All Right, the last two guysI'll talk about real briefly as I got
Tua and Russell Wilson too. Asfar as Zach. I mean, we
we know about his injury plague seasonlast year. However, you got guys

(25:37):
like Tyreek Hill, you got Jailand Waddle as receiver. You know adding
you know a chain in the backfieldwho's going to be fantastic in this offense.
Um, basically, all these optionsare there for tah to to excel
across the board. I mean justbasically, I think he's gonna increase his
yards per attempt, which he whichhe even did from the previous season.

(26:00):
And just like I mentioned the weapons, Hill, Waddle, a Cheney,
all those guys. As long asHe's two stays as healthy, I think
he's gonna he can find himself wayinto the top ten. Yeah. No.
Two was on pace to have anastronomical year last year before the scary
Injurws he went through. Hopefully he'sback to he's back healthy, he's good.
And that's everything I've kind of heard. And I mean Jalen Waddle and

(26:22):
Tyree Hill just speed. They theyput stress on the defense. There's not
many dbs, if any, theycan keep up with the speedy they they
provide. I mean you watch theirgames and it's like he's just called they
It's like my mcown is calling fourverticals every time and it just works.
He just tears everybody up. Hisaccuracy is improved. Um. Yeah,
and he's he's he's sneaky athletic inthe pocket, like he gets out of

(26:47):
trouble and yeah, he's gonna he'sgonna sling the rock. It's gonna be
it's gonna be great expected honestly, even better numbers again. I I mean
he's only played thirteen games last year. I think he missed four games and
get five hundred yards like that shouldspeak for itself. Yeah, I just
don't want to see any of thatstuff. Go let him go through all
that stuff again. I don't wantto say no, no, you have

(27:07):
to protect him, have to protecthim. And shockingly, Russell Wilson is
my fifteenth ranked quarterback, clearly comingoff the worst seasons of his career,
through for just sixteen touchdowns, justover a sixty four point five yard pastor
grade. I mean, career lowsfor this guy. He's been in league
for eleven years. You know what, Sean Payton is going to make a

(27:30):
huge difference to Wilson, I find. I just think this team was in
shambles last year. However, youknow you got guys like Jerry Judy,
you got Um Sutton back there, you got dul Chitch as his tight end
to go with Jabount to Williams inthe backfield, p right back there.
So Russell Wilson's going to improve drasticallythis year. I think he's going to

(27:52):
get back to that same Russell Wilsonwe saw just a few years ago in
Seattle. Yeah, no, Imean you can't. The great thing for
Russell Wilson is you can't get anylower than you were. I think what
the statistics for the longest time ishe had more bathrooms in his house than
touchdown passes. No, it's itwas. It was such an all time
low. It was weird to seehim almost distracted by all the outside stuff,

(28:15):
and he would himself would create itlike all the commercials. And there's
how extra he was high knees inthe plane. I think Sean Payton.
I think the big thing is SeanPayton just making him one of the guys
again and not Russell Wilson and theteam. He's making the part of the
team. I mean, Sean Payton'sgot a Super Bowl ring for a reason.
So exactly, Um, real quickhere, do you want to touch

(28:37):
on anybody else that you have maybeinside your top? Yeah? I got
I got two. I want tokind of touch on the first one I
have him in my list. It'sthe Shawn Watson. I think we've all
kind of forgot about him, andobviously there's the off the field issues we
obviously don't agree with, and likelast year he only threw seven touchdowns eleven

(28:57):
hundred yards and six games. Butback, like, I'm just going back
to his twenty twenty stats. Lastfull season, he played over forty eight
hundred yards thirty three touchdowns. Heis athletic with his legs. We've seen
it in college at Clemson in Houston, and I mean he's got Amari Cooper,
Elijah Moore, Donovan people Jones, which is like one of like the
most underrated receivers. He just winsthose jump balls. He's good. And

(29:18):
then David Njoku another top tight endthat maybe doesn't get talked about as much.
I like Deshaun Watson. I thinkDeshaun Watson is going to have a
big year. Sadly because it's anotherAFC North quarterback in there, but no
Deshaun Watson. I think we've allkind of forgot how good he is at
football. Even if you're not necessarilya great person, you can still be
good at football. I'm very highon Deshaun Watson. I do have him

(29:44):
just outside my top fifteen. Ihave him as my KIBE sixteen. Yeah.
No, he's and then Aaron Rodgersbad year last year, and let
me let me read you his badyear statistics. Twenty six touchdowns over thirty
six hundred yards, so off yearmaybe, Um, obviously all the all
the stuff going on Green Bay,him wanting to be there and stuff.

(30:04):
I mean he's got two of thelast three mvpsum. Garrett Wilson another young,
great young quarterback. He brought Lazardover with him, Conklin at a
tight end, Corey Davis and thenRandall Cobby and he brought with them the
Jets were one was we're a goodquarterback. Way last year from doing making
some damage. He was anowage ofthe playoffs. Um, he's not necessarily

(30:29):
he's obviously not your tier one, maybe not even your tier two quarterback.
But Aaron Rodgers is still deserves respectand will demand respect. And even though
he's got a little couple of darknessretreats, I I don't see him.
I see him improving on those numbers. And like I said, twenty six
touchdowns, three six hundred yards,Like that's anybody would love that on their
team. Percent. Okay, wellthat takes care of the quarterback position.

(30:51):
Let's jump over the running backs realquick, UM, like I mentioned,
same kind of situation, break theseguys down in tears and similar to quarterback
tires. This this uh, thegroup that I have here as my tier
one running back could be swapped, you know either way, especially the top
two where I got Christian McCaffrey,Austin Eckler, and be Jean Robinson.

(31:14):
UM. Only two running backs averagedover twenty PPR points per game in twenty
twenty two. And that was youguessed at McCaffrey Eckler. Um. They
both um UM finished inside the topor they both had double digit top ten
finishes UM last season, the onlyrunning backs to see five or more receptions
on average per game last year.To go with the fact that especially let's

(31:37):
talk about Eckler here real quick,UM, thirty eight touchdowns in the last
two years, which is ridiculous.UM, yeah, he's overall RB one
last year. UM basically finished withtwenty twenty one point nine PPR points per
game, caught over one hundred andseven balls. That to me, Eckler
has to be up there. UMwhen it comes to comes to a running

(32:01):
back position. And then of courseyou can't forget about what Christian McCaffrey does
on a yearly basis. I mean, well, last year, I mean
he adds number one going to KyleShanahan's to the forty nine Ers, basically
perfect scheme for him. He wasfirst in target shairs he had were almost

(32:23):
twenty two percent of the target shairs, and third in total touchdowns other running
back positions finishes RB two. McCaffrey'sjust a beast. Yeah. No,
Uh, McCaffrey is the perfect runningback for a Kyle Shanahan offense. Yeah,
I mean I always hear people talkingabout you put anybody in that system

(32:44):
and then you go ahead and getarguably the most dynamic running back in football.
Let's not forget he can throw thefootball. We did see that a
bit last year, so goes allthose stats always help, but yeah,
he does everything. Man, He'she was carrying bad Panthers teams years ago.
He's on the forty nine Ers,established a team with an established head

(33:04):
coach, and he'll run someone over, like I think everyone kind of forgets
about that. He's a he's abit of a big boy, and he'll
put someone in his place. Andthen as for Austin Ekeler, first I'd
like to thank him for helping mewin my fantasy league last year. He
was absolutely tremendous in that. Umyeah, he Like every time you watch
the Chargers game, he's just catchingpasses. He just go dips out in
the flat, does a little littlearrow route, just catches it and makes

(33:28):
someone miss. He he does itall. He's so electric. Um,
I'm not I'm not one hundred percentsure on what his contract situations like.
I don't think he's gonna sit out. I do believe he's gonna play.
He's just not gonna play. Yeah, yeah, Yeah. It's tough with
these running backs right now, withall these contracts situations. But like,
and he's liked justin Herbert. Wetouched on Herbert earlier. There are two

(33:50):
pieces in a pod. They makeeach other great. It's those are definitely
the top two running backs for sure, exactly. And this is go to
the third guy just talked about bGenreb's in you know, generational back from
what we've seen in college. Selectedinside the top ten of the draft,
you know, and that that alone, just you know, that's a huge,
huge endorsement when it comes to drafts. A quarterback inside the top ten

(34:12):
and he's going into the most runheavy offense who had who has one,
who had one of the best runblocking offensive lines in the league last year.
So not to mention the fact ArthurSmith didn't really deploy just one running
back as a workhorse role um lastseason. However, if you go back
to his time in Tennessee, Um, he saw that talent and Derrick Henry,

(34:35):
and that's exactly the role that Henrygot. I do feel as though
Bijon is going to get that samethat same role for for Atlanta. And
we've seen he's got the potentially catchpasses of the backfield. And in fact,
Desmond Ritter, you know, inthe four games small samphasize that he
did play last year, he didtarget the running back on twenty three twenty
three point five percent of his dropbackslast year. So, I mean,

(35:00):
what's not to likable Bijan? Uh? Yeah, I The only thing I
can think of is that there's acouple of Olkohola fans who don't like them.
Um, No, Robinson, Robinsonis he's generational. Um, you
can't touched on Ridder. I thinkthey're gonna just let Bejean Cuff, just
let him me give him the ball, lots help ease in the Ridder,

(35:20):
help ease Ridder into being a startingquarterback. And I mean there's nothing,
there's nothing coaches a lot more thanyoung healthy running backs. Um. And
he showed the durability at Texas, and he can catch the ball. He
can obviously you can run the ballquite well. Um, Robinson's gonna get
a lot of carries. Just likeyou said, how Henry Ottoman Tennessee like

(35:40):
it's it's gonna be kind of asight to see. And hopefully you can
help turn that at Falcons. Falconsteam around a bit exactly. Next group
of guys, I got my twotwo guys, Tony Pollard, Nick Chubb,
Sacon Barkley. I'll throw Jonathan Taylorin there. However, I got
my worries about him, Josh Jacobsand Derrick Henry. Um. I'll start
off with Barkley here, huge bounceback last year. Um, he finishes

(36:05):
pprs RB five. Um, he'sthe only U with Barkley's the only guy
back who averaged over twenty touches pergame. We're also seeing almost four receptions
per game as well last year.So I'm not too worried now that he
kind of slightly made up a littlebit with with the Giants organization. I
have no problem to me personally.I think Barkley is almost into just outside

(36:32):
of that tier one for me.Now, Barkley, Barkley is the New
York Giants offense. It's exactly youknow, they were going to do something
to make him happy, Yeah, which was I think eight hundred thousand dollars
in incentives, so yeah, whichseems like a small sum, but whatever
gets him on that field. Um, yeah, he does everything. Um.
Last year he looked like the Barkleywe saw on Penn State and Penn

(36:54):
State. So Quan Barkley, forthose of you who didn't watch him,
was one of the most electric playersI've seen since like the Reggie Bush highlights,
which is a tad before my time. Um, kind of which I
would have been there. Um,he was healthy last year, he's getting
he's catching these He does a lotof little drags, a little flats,
catches the ball a lot for thosePPR leagues. And yeah, he was

(37:15):
such a dynamic runner last year.It was nice to see him kind of
get back to his rookie year form. He kind of lost a couple of
years, just a couple of injurieshere and there. Um, he says
he stayed healthy. I think hewill again. And like I said,
Quon Barkley is New York Giants andthey will funnel the ball through him at
all as much as they can.Yeah, we mentioned, we mentioned talking
about worried about these running back contractsas a lally another guys who touch on

(37:39):
just Jacobs. He isn't even inVegas right now, however, quite quite
a little bit concerning however, Ido feel as though he will be back
for the start of the season.I can't see him, you know,
just losing out on what is it, ten ten point one million dollars finished?

(38:00):
Is RB one each of the pastthree se are finished as an RB
one, sorry, in each ofthe past three years, RB three overall.
Last year, when it comes tothe volume that he had, the
only guy that had just as manyare slightly just more carries than him as
far as the offense goes, DerrickHenry M. Jacob's average nearly of the

(38:22):
carries on this vegious team, whichis huge. I mean, you don't
you don't see that anymore? Um, I'm not as long as he's on
the field. I don't feel asthough that volume is going to change.
No, he's shown a durability thatwe haven't seen from some of these our
backs since again you Christ spoke aboutDerick Henry. Um every time, I

(38:45):
feel like every time I turn ona Raiders game, it's just Josh Jacob's
busted one for eighty yards. Yeah, broke some Seahawks. The Seahawks hearts
last year. Um, he likeI get, like I said, he's
just he seems I don't know ifhe's have to stay the fast right back,
but when he gets in the openfield, it seems like he just
breaks away better than anybody. Heruns hard out like again, another Alabama

(39:06):
product. So his professionalism's there,I do know. Talking with his contracts,
I don't think the Raiders offered hima deal. They just tagged him
and they're just like here you go. So I'm hoping that disrespect doesn't deter
him from being there with his teammates. I also think he's like a perfect
running back for Jimmy G. Likeit just Jimmy G needs that running back

(39:27):
to kind of take the load, kind of be that check down guy.
Jimmy G loves just throwing a littleshort stuff. I think we'll see a
production, a little more production andhis catching as well. But yeah,
Josh Jacobs is phenomenal. I'm hopingto see him in the bankas Jersey again
this year. All right, thenext guy, Tony Pollard, this guy
I'm excited about. I do havehim, you know, as my fifth
ranked running back right now. Let'sjust say this RB eight last year and

(39:51):
fast tew points per game fifteen pointsix. And now he's got no Zeke
Elliot behind him to contend with him, and not much behind him as well.
I mean career high last year.I mean, I think he could
push for you know, two fiftythree hundred carries as long as he stays
healthy. And the fact that he'sgoing to be able to get that work

(40:15):
in the receiving game as well.I mean, he's got a legitimate shot
to finish as the overall RB onethis coming year. Yeah. No,
like you said, no Zeke Um, I think we're gonna see a production
and usage from Pollward that we sawearly on with Zeke. Just they're gonna
feed him as much as they could. He's gonna catch the ball. He's
good in the open field, Ithink Dak's gonna rely on him a lot

(40:37):
him and ceedee lamb, and I'mexcited to see what he does because he's
definitely been underrated because of the Zekeshadow that was casted in Dallas. But
no, he's gonna I think he'sgonna do some special this year. And
like I said, I kind ofbet on the Cowboys every year, so
I'm hoping they proved me right. And that starts with Tony Pollard. There
you go, and two guys i'llkind of, you know, put together

(41:00):
in the same sentence as Derrick HenryNick Chubb. I mean they both pushed
for almost twenty touches per game lastyear. This year, I do see
that improving a little bit. Henry'sin line, obviously for another huge workload
as he is. However, hisefficiency did dip a little bit last year.
Not too concerning. I mean,he's a bowling ball. He's going

(41:20):
to run people over. He's gonnaget his yards and his touchdowns. Chubb
now has basically a backfield to himself. I mean Kareem Hunt is still a
free agent. Last year, actuallyhe was the first year he finished with
fewer than five yards per carry. That is going to go back up this
coming season. Like I mentioned, basically, he's going to get the boat.

(41:44):
Both these guys are gonna get plentyof volume this year and basically put
up monster numbers once again. Yeah, I'll start Derek Henry. He's kind
of his resume speaks for itself. He does get all more touches than anybody.
I do worry a bit just whathim getting up their end the wear
and tear on his body because hedoes get the ball so much. I
don't think it's gonna be a drasticdropping efficiency, but I could see the

(42:08):
efficiency dropping again. Um, itwas just tough to say it because he's
been I mean he's like the onlyrunning back, current running back it's got
two thousand rushing yards in a season. I do believe it could be wrong.
Um, but yeah, he's he'sbigger. He's the biggest running back
in the league. It feels likehe runs everybody over. Um, like

(42:28):
he he calls a tractor tractor, tractor cedo season or whatever something like that.
And I mean he turn on Jaguargame, he's usually busting off ninety
nine yards. I felt like,um, Derrick Henry is a beast and
I'm just hoping the wear and teardoesn't affect him too too much. And
then Nick Chubb. Um, Ithink DeShawn Watson's good for Nick Chubb because
Jacoby Brissette last year, you're gonnacrowd the box. You're like, yo,

(42:51):
they want to they want Chubb tohave the ball. I think that
will kind of lighten the box abit, just with Watson's elite leg play
or running play like play. Andyeah, Nick Chubb's just a grown man
amongst boys. I he does afinger tape like he just he just runs
people over. Um good ball securityand he just doesn't go down. He

(43:13):
gets those extra yards um his yardsafter contact. I don't know the exact
number, but it's just phenomenal.Like he he's scary to watch. He's
kind of annoying to watch twice ayear, but he's a big boy.
I have trubbed like I think I'vetrubbed at four on my list. I'm
very high on Nick Chubb as muchas as much as that hurts to say.
Nice. All right, we'll justtouch on a real quick We kind

(43:35):
of mentioned earlier Jonathan Taylor. I'mnot too sure what's going on with the
situation with the Colts. I personallydon't think he's going to play another down
for the Colts. However, Ithink wherever he does go, if he
does go to the right spot,I do feel a Zoe Taylor will be
I'll be able to talk a littlebit more about Taylor. I love the
guy that the talents there um.The only thing that did concern me a

(43:59):
little bit after the draft, afterthem drafting Richardson was the fact that he
could be losing goal line work withRichardson as mobile as he is. I
mean, this is the first mobilequarterback Taylor's played with so outside and I
still think he's going to do enoughwhere he would you know, we'd be
able to talk to him inside thetop ten for sure. You you really

(44:20):
like him, though you said no, Jonathan Taylor again another great running back.
I think he was RB one twoyears ago, kind of dip last
year. No, I'm just gonnatalk about it like he's gonna be a
Colt still. I think the Colts, if they do use if he is
a Coult, they're gonna use himto kind of take the pressure off Richardson,

(44:42):
as you do see teams do withyounger quarterbacks, and I think Richardson's
mobility, maybe on the goal linecould be a big issue, but just
in general, will help open upspace for Taylor. And Taylor's not someone
who needs a lot of space, but just the defenses haven't had that spy
like he didn't have to spy atRyan. Yeah, you spy Richardson.
That's one less guy. Focusing onTaylor's one less guy in the box.

(45:06):
And Jonathan Taylor we've seen him,We've seen him breakoff runs when the box
is loaded. So I think ifhe is a cult, Richardson and him
are going to do some damage. And I think Richardson's gonna help him open
up some space. All right, fair, fair enough, I guess.
I mean I do like jon andTaylor. I'm just this this, this
is the this is the only contractthat kind of worries me a little bit.

(45:31):
And then moving into her talk prettypretty much ten to fifteen guys here,
I got Brees All, Romandre Stevenson, Joe Mix and Aaron Jones and
Naja Harris and Travis Etsien. Nowjust briefly we'll touch on touch on this.
I did, actually I did talkabout sixty. I went Jamir Gibbs
in there as well. UM,don't only keep a brees All from pretty

(45:52):
much moving up up to listen tothe next tier. Um is just gonna
be the amount of numb every one. Is he fully healthy? We're not
too sure, right, That's that'sthe biggest thing. However, when he
was on the field last year asa rookie, we saw him put up
some wicked numbers as a rookie almostsix yards per carry h four point just

(46:15):
over four yards after contact per attempt. And like I said, the only
thing that really could hurt his valueis if we've heard that Delvin Cook's been
a bit been in New York.So I mean, did not not to
mention the fact they did sign Idon't even want to say his last name
israel iwa Conda? Is that isthat how you would say that drafted him?

(46:37):
Sorry, drafted him? Yeah? No, I'm kind of just as
lost his last name as you are, well, which is a he's a
pretty elite talent coming coming into thisteam. So and then you still got
Michael Carter there as well, Soit's gonna be interesting to see how they
this backfield plays out. Yeah. No, the brief hall thing like you
touched on the injuries. Can hecome back healthy? Um? And it

(47:00):
does seem like it's be a verycrowded running back room. Yeah. Um,
I do think that Dalvin Cook's goingto be a Jet like this,
that the signs are kind of pointingtowards it. Um. And then also
Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers being there, they'll I think there'd be a bit
more of a passing team too,so that I just don't know if necessarily
the carries would be there at Greecehalt. But if he's healthy and he

(47:21):
does get those carries, he iselectric. I loved him at Iowa State.
I loved watching him last year. He's part of that Jets fever at
the start of the year when theystarted five and two. Um, so
hopefully that needs good to go.But uh no, I like him.
It's just crowded. Crowded running backrooms are always kind of tough to deal
with. Yeah. And you can'tdeny the town though, I mean the
town is there. We at thenext level. Romandre Stevenson is the next

(47:43):
guy I don't want to talk about. Pretty much had the bulk of the
carries for New England last year andwas heavily involved in the passing game as
well. So I mean that's thelike I mentioned, those are the things
volume um is key. So Imean Stevenson when it comes to you know,
target, it's uh, targets perrole run. He only trailed us

(48:04):
to Neckler in that department, sohe was used. Um. He had
over four receptions per game, rankedfourth among backs with at least two hundred
carries, so RB eight in fantasyin a backfield that kind of you know,
they did have Damien Harris, theyhad Stevenson um. And you know,
to me, his ability to handleall the you know, every every

(48:28):
or his ability to do everything isgoing to be enough volume to be you
know, put him on the RBone fringe again this season. Yeah no,
it's uh yeah. Last year itwas kind of you always thought a
New England's kind of running back backcommittee, that's always been the prelogic way.
It was kind of different, uniqueto see him just take on that
role and be the be the guywho gets the bulk of the carries,

(48:52):
getting all these targets and everything.Um. Yeah. And I honestly don't
think they trust mac Jones and overin New England. So I think that
will account for more little dump offsthey're running back and just run the ball
more, um and hopefully that translatesto two points to touchdowns. He's he's

(49:12):
going to be a very electric talent. I think exactly. Um, Naji
Harris, Joe mix and there andJoep kind of just uh you know,
put them all together. H they'regoing to see a ton of volume.
You know again this season, Imean Harris and Pittsburgh is basically none of

(49:35):
these guys have anybody behind them toeven worry about. I think they're they
got the best chance to finish insidethe top twelve of than than any quarterback
that I've already talked about. Umand now you know, worst case they
finished as you know, an RBtwo. So to me, those are
all solid, uh solid options upin my top top fifteen. Yeah.

(49:57):
No, like you, Nay,Naji Harris over and pitts Burgum, yeah,
I again, Kenny Pickett's young. They're gonna they're gonna use Naji Harris
to their advantage, get him theball as much as they can. He's
got tremendous hands, Like it's it'sactually ridiculous watching him catch some of these
balls that he probably shouldn't um.And then yeah, he's hurt, he's
jumping over people, he's running peopleover. Um, Joe Mixon not a

(50:22):
crowded backfield anymore. P Ryan's gone, and his talent around Joe Mixon is
like his greatest weapon, because youought to worry about t Higgins, Taj
Boy and Jamar Chase, and JoeMixon is quick, electric, he runs
people over. He he never getsbrought down by the first guy. He
feels like he's always slipping tackles. And then Aaron Jones just real quickly,

(50:45):
No, Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Loveagain, easing him into it, like
I think the running backs where theygot less established quarterbacks are where all the
tremendous value is because you're gonna hecoaches lean on their veteran players running backs
to kind of ease him in.Jordan Loves. I think he's went three
years in now, but he's stillhe's still like a rookie in a lot

(51:07):
of people's eyes. He hasn't thatmuch playing time. He had that horrific
showing against the Chiefs a couple ofseason ago or last season. I'm kind
of getting those blurred Yeah, andAaron Jones. Aaron Jones is quick,
athletic, bit of a brute.I love it. I love Aaron Jones.
Like you mentioned, I mean, this offense is going to run through
Aaron Jones first and foremost, right, and then you're kind of, you

(51:30):
know, to ease T's love intothis game. So, um, the
last two guys I want to touchon real quick. I'm when I just
kind of put them together too,is Travis said Team Jamir Gibbs, I
mean, both these guys are elitepass catching options and should get enough carries
to be to be relevant. Theonly concern for me, however, for
both these guys is basically who's gettingthe goal line work in these offenses.

(51:52):
You know, the the Jags theywant to draft to tank Bisbee Bigsby,
and the Lions had signed David Montgomeryalready right before before the draft. The
one thing, if you want tolook at this way, Jamir Gibbs,
when DeAndre Swift and Jamal Williams theycombined for just over four hundred and twenty

(52:14):
touches last season. So both thoseguys are gone from Detroit. So I
have a feeling that there's going there'senough there to make Gibbs relevant, very
relevant. To be honest, Ireally wanted to push him up inside my
top twelve, just couldn't because Ihaven't seen it yet, right. I
mean, you could give that argumentfor a guy like Bijean as well that
I put up in my top toptier. But I mean, I mean,

(52:37):
if Gibbs gets a chance to doyou know, he does have that
three down talent, if he getsa chance to showcase it, then he
could be very dangerous. Yeah,Gibbs is my ten just for the sole
fact that. So what I'm seeingon Alliance camp is he's getting first team
carries and then whenever they bring Montgomeryin, they're putting Gibbs out in the

(53:00):
slot or something. So games shouldbe on the field a lot, and
that brings so much. He hasso much tremendous value catching the ball,
like he was Bryce Young's highest targetedplayer teammate last year. So just the
fact that even when Gibbs isn't inthe backfield, he's gonna be at that
receiver position I think brings gives himso much value in the fantasy game,

(53:22):
especially if you have the PPR leagues, which most people play in. Now,
He's gonna get the ball a lot. He's gonna have a lot of
touches next year, exactly. Allright, kay buddy, we've gone quite
a while. Yeah, just kindof lose track here when you start talking
