Have you what's up my man?Hey buddy, I'm excited to get back
(02:25):
at the NFL here Fantasy. Yeah, it's been a while since we've talked
any football. See you almost probablyonce a week, but playing playing some
golf. Yeah, these past twomonths are pretty pretty busy. I mean
coaching lacrosse, and now that's windingdown, and so now it's football season.
(02:46):
Would you like to brag a littlebit about your lacrosse and coach?
Oh yeah, all right, goahead, first year, first year head
coach. You eleven and we wonthe championship City champions right now. Got
a huge trophy they gave me,And they haven't legit sitting in your house
because I seen they haven't. Theyhaven't called for it back, so I'm
(03:07):
not exactly sure when they want thatback. And I got a big banner,
so it was exciting. Yeah,I believe you actually like covered like
all your kids pictures and everything, just to put that up on the mantel.
Yeah, yeah, I did.I did. It's for the year,
right, twenty twenty three chaps,So we'll hang it up for the
year and cover all that, andthen then I'll put it somewhere else.
(03:30):
I haven't decided. I asked theleague or our organization if they put it
up in the arenas, and thenthey're like, no, we don't really
have a home arena, so youcan just put it up in your house.
Yeah, I got the kids, got the team to sign it.
So and so that's pretty cool. And then I'll put it up probably in
the house somewhere and that's sweet. That's awesome. Well, I got my
(03:51):
own little bragging rights hobby. Ihaven't even told you about this yet obviously.
With our Fantasy PROSU Fantasy Pros rankie, Yes, I am in the
top ten of the multi year accuracynice. I'm actually six on the list
nice. So that's one of myhumble brags for the So are they going
(04:12):
to start painting you sooner? What? I'm not sure. I'm not sure.
I got this sweet banner that saysFantasy Pros not ban It's on my
phone for those Oh, nobody's goingto see this actually, because we're not
even put it on video anyway. It's proof I got prof kind of an
important game. Ye. So butyeah, and also I mentioned last episode
(04:35):
that we have partnered up once againwith two four seven Clash for this upcoming
season. So, like I said, if you haven't played already, sign
up, now is the time todo it. New sign ups. If
you sign up, he's a promocode north It's going to enter you into
a chance to win a full sizeteam helmet of your choice, which I
will announce live on the pod afterweek one. So this deal is good
(04:58):
that this promo is only going ontill week one, So make sure you
guys get onto it, get getinto it, signed up, use promo
code North. All you gotta dois head over to two four seventh clash
dot com and make a deposit usingpromo code North and boom, your name
is entered into the draw. Somake sure you do it. Unfortunately,
it's only limited to people who livein Canada, so sorry, sorry Americans
(05:23):
and Germans and wherever else we aregut listeners. Yeah, but so all
you Canadians jump in there, geton there, get your name entered.
And like I mentioned North, itused promo code North. That helps a
pot a lot as well. Sobut happy, let's dive right into this
uh wide receiver tight end class hereor class I guess rankings here. I'm
(05:46):
gonna throw out my tier. Likelike I said in the other episode,
the first one here, I baseeverything in tears. That's just kind of
how I do my rankings. SoI'm gonna go down the board here.
I mean, the first probably fourfive guys are kind of you know,
I'm sure everybody's heard of them all, so it's not like it's any surprises.
(06:08):
Let's start with Jessein Jefferson obviously theconsensus, you know, number one
wide receiver out there. I'm sevengames with over thirty PPR points, and
he just he led the league intargets last year, receptions, yards,
yards of catch. I mean, you know as well as I do.
This guy's just a monster. Yeah, and I don't think losing theeling is
(06:30):
gonna hurt his production anymore. Ithink he's gonna get more of those red
zone looks as a matter of fact. I mean consensus, some say,
but I think Jamar Chase is aclose number two. I know you probably
have him at number two, veryclose number two. I think Borrows if
he's healthy for at least sixteen gamesthis year, we could see Chase giving
(06:56):
Jefferson a run for his money.Yeah. I definitely have him as my
as my number two much of McCallmy number two wide receiver. And like
you just mentioned, Adam Feelan gone, that's huge. I mean, over
you know, this is Jefferson's whatshe's going into third or this is his
fourth season, right, fourth orthird season? Yeah, this is three
(07:17):
third season, So I mean ifyou look at Adam Deland's numbers, I
mean, he scored over thirty touchdownsover three years in Minnesota, So I
mean, like you mentioned, Imean him gone. Jefferson only had eight
touchdowns last year. You can easilyput him in double digits this year in
my opinion. Sorry, he's goinginto his fourth season, so going into
his fourth seasons, so it's lastthree. Sorry, he's going to his
(07:39):
last his his whole career with Minnesota, Adam Deeeland was there. Adam DeLand
scored over thirty touchdowns over that threeyear span, So I mean he's going
to get looks in that red zone, which is just going to make him
even more more valuable moving forward. So and then, like you mentioned,
you went over to Jamar Chase.Yeah, I mean I love Jamar Chase.
(08:00):
I guess you can depending on howyou look at it, you can
interchange these two guys. In myopinion, though, I just I just
I love Jefferson. Yeah. Way, I can even say way more,
way more. I don't if Jeffersonis there over, I'm taking Jefferson all
day over Chase. I mean, but also if you look at his volume
(08:20):
from twenty twenty two, third inred zone targets six and targets share.
I mean, those kind of numbersare are fantastic for your wide receiver.
One. You know, he scoredover twenty two PPR points per game and
he had I think it was liketop five finishes probably four or five times
last year from what I can remember. So I mean, like you mentioned,
(08:43):
if Joe Burrow plays plays a fullseason, I think you're going to
see a lot of You're going tosee those numbers go up, and he
very well likely could finish as awide receiver one. Yeah, and all
these guys the top tier I thinkyou have sounds like you have five guys
(09:03):
up there, but with his right, with the right mix and combination and
health this year, can finish inthat number one spot. Yeah, my
number three guy, I do agreewith you there. You're going to disagree
highly with this one. Here.I have my boy, Cede Lamb as
(09:24):
my third wide receiver, which isI'm high on him. I'm very high
on him this year coming off youknow obvious career hi and catches and yards,
had nine touchdowns and that's what DakPrescott missing a handful of games.
So Prescott, you know Prescott backPrescott play whole season. I think you
know you got the loss of DaltonSchultzen there. I'm sure you did add
(09:45):
a guy like you know, BrandonCooks and stuff like that. However,
I do think Ceedee Lamb is theman in this offense, and I just
see he's going to be heavily targeted. Im I'm looking at probably you know
another career hiing catches, probably youknow, one between one ten, fifteen,
maybe fifteen hundred yards. Double digittouchdowns again, so or double digit
(10:07):
touchdowns this year. The one thingthat worries me with CD is that Kellen
Moore has gone their offensive coordinator, whose past centric scheme it was consistently ranked
as one of the best in theleague. And they bring in McCarty,
Mike McCarthy. Now, so we'regonna we're gonna see, if I don't
(10:28):
know, Mike McCarthy might pull backsome of those passes and we could see
their numbers go down. As wellas the addition of Brandon Cooks and a
healthy mac Michael Gallup. It's gonnabe it's gonna be tough to get value
on Lamb's ADP, especially at numberthree. Yeah, yes, and No,
(10:50):
I do think that the addition ofBrandon Cooks is going to actually help
Lamb, you know, because itgives them another solid guy on the outside,
you know, to take a littlebit of that coverage off of them.
So I just feel like I said, I'm super high on him and
see that, Oh yeah, okay, the next thing, I got them
(11:11):
the next So that's my tier one. So I had Jefferson, Chason Lamb,
my tier two kind of just three, just the three. Yeah,
I just have the three. Andthen down to my tier two, which
is very close, very close,is Jail and Waddle A J. Brown.
And I'll start with those two guysfirst. If I gotta talk about
(11:31):
these guys were looking at talk aboutJail and Waddle first. This is stating
if two US stays healthy, ofcourse, I mean, I mean to
me, if two A stays healthy, I think Waddle could have a little
bit is have a little bit bettervalue than Tyreek Hill last year, first
yards per target, first year's perception, all those numbers are going to be
(11:56):
consistent with what if two A stayson the field. So I mean if
as long as like I said,as long as two is there, I
think Waddle is the favorite target forhim. I think I think Tyreek Hill
is too much of a matchup nightmareto not get the numbers that he gets
(12:18):
every year. Like even with losingMahomes, he he went for sees our
career highs last year with Tuah andI think that's going to continue if these
guys want to be a legit team. I mean, Tyreek Hill, he's
one of the best, if notthe best, arguably the best receiver in
the league. And like I said, he can get separation from any corner
(12:39):
and Twa knows that. So Imean he's gonna get like still, he's
gonna get eight to ten crabs agame. I think I would agree.
Is that Malls? What's up?What's up? Malli? But I know
I do have Tyree kill rate therewith him as well, Like I mean,
(13:01):
if if that's for I, likeI said, I just I like
Waddle as a favorite target too tootoo as long as he's playing. But
I mean, if you want todive into Tyreek Hills numbers is well,
I mean he's easily you know, top top six pick at least for this
year as well. Break all hislittle stats down, you know, first
(13:24):
and deep targets last year he hadlike almost forty I believe second and target
share. I mean he's getting targetedheavily and obviously downfield a tone. So
I mean McDaniel loves him. Ithink the fact that how fast paced that
McDaniel does run this offense, Ido think it's seen. I do think
(13:46):
it benefits Hill as well. Likelike you said, I mean those guys
are both going to get fed heavily, and it's just one of those things
where who do you who do youlike better? I kind of just kind
of the name of but the gameof football, right, I mean that
to me, I just think Ithink Waddles sees a little bit more maybe
(14:07):
in the red zone, you knowwhat I mean. Now, if he'll
got all those looks in the redzone that maybe saw you know that Wattle
had. I think he only hadjust over maybe ten looks ten targets in
the red zone last year, SoI mean if he can boost that number
up a little bit, I dothink he'll finish. He'll he will finish
ahead of Waddle, I think becausethey don't use their tight end as much
(14:28):
as we thought they were gonna.Yeah that these two receivers can feast and
put up some pretty good numbers.Yeah, I agree. Okay, So
go to another guy who I lovethis year as well, A J.
Brown. I mean, how doyou how do you? How do you
not love a J. Brown inthis in this offense? He was unreal
(14:50):
last year with his first season Philly, I believe career high and catches almost
ninety receiving yards and touchdowns. Ithink he had almost fifteen hundred yards and
ten or eleven touchdowns last year. And I mean, nothing's going to change
with the Seagulls offense. What yousaw last year is what you're going to
see again this year. I seevery similar stats as well. What do
(15:11):
you say? Uh? I agree? I mean in this offense, if
they're all healthy, they're gonna beawesome this year, like probably probably number
one. The one thing about Brownthat that kind of scares me is that
the TD variants with Philaelphia and thepassing or the yeah, the passing volume.
(15:33):
So obviously we know Hurts scores mostof their touchdowns. But uh,
and I think that's the one concernwith Brown has if if I'm sticking him
ahead of gain against a healthy Cup, I don't think. I think I
would rather take Cup right now andtell you the truth because of all the
targets and the touchdowns he's gonna getif he's healthy. That's for us.
(15:58):
For I actually have Cup, believeit or not. Outside you're gonna hate
me outside my top ten this year. What I'm not, I'm gonna I
see this offense taking a huge dip. Still with the huge dip, I
mean I don't let wait, Hey, we'll touch on Cup when we get
(16:18):
there. Okay, okay, okay, but way down there, and that's
a long way to work. Ohhe's not at ten, I said,
outside my top ten, my side, my top ten. See, that's
ridiculous. You've already got to theridiculous at twelve. At twelve, that
means you have him behind. Soyou'll wait till you got him behind some
(16:42):
real Yeah, Like, okay,we'll go, let's go. I'm on
Ross Saint Brown, He's my nextguy have on my list. This this
Detroit offense pretty much just runs throughhim. Uh what more can we say
about him? Good? Good rapportwith with golf. They don't have really
(17:07):
much more after losing Hawkinson. Theydid get you know, they do have
guys like Gibbs in there and stufflike that, but outs, you know,
for the most part, Same Brownis who who who we see on
every every week basis. I mean, I'm sure you could agree with that.
Yes, he's he's now who wouldyou? Would you? Yeah?
(17:34):
Keep going, Sorry, i'd sentyou. I was just gonna say he's
now tied with Jefferson and Thomas formost receptions for the first two years of
his career, which is a priest'simpressive. Sure, I lost my fucking
there. Okay, I sorry,I lost my train of thought because I
(17:55):
had all my notes up here andI accidentally exed out of fucking everything.
So my my apologies by sound likean idiot for the time being. But
let's go back to Saint Brown hereeight most of the targets last season,
and he even missed one game,so I mean overall, like we mentioned,
I mean, he's he only scoredsix times in the out of his
(18:18):
twenty one thread zone targets, soI mean we want to see that go
a little bit uh up, alittle bit more. He was tenth in
Fantasy points per game sixteen, justover sixteen, so I mean I like
him in that in that top rangeof of my Tier two. However,
if you do, like guys aheadof him, I'm not gonna, you
(18:38):
know, argue with that with guyslike what's your take on Garret Wilson,
for example, who I have nexton my list? I think he's gonna
be real good with matching up withgood old Aaron Rodgers stepping in at QB,
even as small increase in play underscenter could take Wilson and probably to
(19:00):
that next level for fantasy. I'dsay, uh, when you add that
they aren't really any receiving threats thatcould take targets away from Wilson, getting
two hundred exceptions seems likely, ifnot more than for this ups coming season.
I mean, the one issue, the one issue I could see with
(19:23):
Wilson is his current ADP is likeprobably, I mean, you got him
kind of what do you got himat? Like? Eight? I got
him around I had him around ten. The draft investment is high, and
there's a chance fantasy managers are havingto draft Wilson at that ceiling. Like
(19:44):
I talked about in having over up, Let's let's look at his numbers from
last year. Over eighty he goteighty three passes for eleven hundred yards and
four touchdowns last year, and who'sthrowing him the Zach Wilson. So now
now you've got a guy Aaron Rodgers. Sure he doesn't have you know,
(20:04):
the the he's Aaron Rodgers. He'sgoing he's going to feed all these guys
on this team. And I thinkthat Gary Wilson is going to be one
of those guys that's gonna be.He's getting career highs in every stat that
he's going to have this for thisyear. I think he's he's a pet.
Can you call him a breakout ifhe's you know, already done kind
(20:26):
of what he's done already do?I think he has a real shot at
finishing in the top five as awide receiver, in the top five at
his position this year. I agreebecause we've seen what Aaron Rodgers does when
he has the elite receiver. Hehe zones in on the guy like just
like a horse with blinders. Likewe've seen when he was with Adams,
(20:49):
him forcing the ball into his handsso much. He was getting amazing numbers
for his cattus per game. Andhe'll do the same thing with Wilson because
it's the same scenario. There's nobodybehind them. Like in Green Bay,
there is nobody behind Adams otherbody,a bunch of bums. I mean he
is, He's definitely the Well let'sbe real, he can't say there's a
(21:11):
bunch of bums back there. Imean there's not. He's the most talented
out of that group. Let's putthat way. Well there, but right,
they're not they're not an elite.Well no, I'm just saying,
but I mean they don't have agood receiving corps behind Wilson. I don't
think, right, Well, yeah, and exactly, so I'm all I'm
saying, though this is there, they're basically yeah, I mean they brought
(21:34):
Lazarden. I mean that's just becauseyou know that was a that was basically
Aaron Rodgers, you know, wantedwanted a veteran there. That's me when
it got Hey, what about RandallCobb. Yeah, oh yeah, another
bum the same Green Bay, sameguys from Green Bay. But yeah,
(21:56):
like I said, I love GaryWilson. I do. I do see
him breaking out this year. Andthat's why it's like as far as you
know, that's why he's inside mytop ten for sure. Yeah. Next
year we touched on Tybreek Hill already. I mean you can put him.
I could put him all the wayup to five. And like I said,
even this tier here, as asyou know tier two, some of
(22:21):
these guys are interchangeable. The nexttwo guys that I have on my list
are little questionable for me. Thisis where you might get a little uptight.
Little uptight, but I have guyslike Chris Olav and Drake London still
ahead of the year man, Coopercup start with. And you haven't even
(22:41):
said Stephen Diggs names yet? Wheredo you have him Digs and Digs is
there? Digs is up here?Oh no, I did skip Diggs.
I did skip. Sorry, sorry, mob bat mob Bat mob Bat.
I actually have Diggs and then alove and London's actually outside my talk too,
so I have Diggs. Yeah, let's talk Diggs right now, my
(23:02):
man. Sorry, that's a littlebit. You're getting a little fucking worked
up. Yes, so you havestep Digs up there. I mean,
he's he's elite. I mean youcould put him. I could put him
up there in my top five aswell. I'm just saying by guys that
I like right now. I meanhe was second in total touchdowns last year,
fourth and red zone targets tenth totargets share. I mean, those
(23:25):
numbers aren't going to change. Youknow, Josh Allen loves them. They
have added you know, a fewweapons. You know, kinkaid over there
is going to be huge. Butyou know, as far as their their
past catchers go, you're not goingto see this those numbers change at all
from what he did last year.I mean, Josh, Josh Allen,
(23:45):
He's still going to be, youknow, pushing for that you know,
best quarterback in the league, whichis I think it's very close between him
and mahomes So. And this teamis going to do nothing but throw the
ball. So I think that's whereDiggs is huge for him. I still
have Hill and Cop in my firsttier. Like these guys if they're healthy,
(24:06):
I mean, they're the best receiversin the league. No, I
mean along with Chase and Jefferson, and I think they're gonna as long as
they're healthy. Like, nobody cancover these guys. They're there matchup.
I mean, I don't know,I don't know why you have them so
low. Just preference is preference. That's just how I am. That's just
I like to go off the boardwith everything, right, I'll obviously jump
(24:30):
into these guys later on, I'llI mean, I'll get into it more.
But you know, as of rightnow, this is how it stands
for me, like like it arenot happy, that's your your choice.
One man, I got another question. So okay, so does it does
do these rankings change if you wereto go either Redraft or Dynasty? Well
yeah, yeah for sure. Okay, so where would you So okay,
(24:53):
so let's talk about what are youas far as your your rankings right now?
You have obvious See when you sayTyreek Hill Cooper Cup in your top
tier, that's in Redroft. I'massuming that can't be in Dynasty. No.
No, in Dynasty, you movethose guys that you obviously drafted,
usually in your rookie draft hi,because their value is low when they're just
(25:18):
coming just coming into your league. So a guy's like Saint Brown and Wilson,
I mean they move up in Dynastyfor sure. Yeah, so we
will be Yeah, I mean Imean they do, they switch, they
do rotate around, And if weneeded to talk about it, to be
honest with you, I was actuallylooking at my Dynasty rankings and I'm like,
rankings because there's there's a couple ofnames. I was like, where's
(25:42):
Diggs. Yea, he hasn't saidHill. Yeah, I really if you
want like you want, you wantme. I'll break this down right now
real quick here. Okay, reallynone of these guys. These guys are
all still going to be my topfifteen, the majority of them. Okay,
but so basically my draft, ifyou're going to go redraft ranks right
now, I'm on the same pageas you. I got Jefferson Chase Hill
(26:03):
Cup. That's why I am inmy tier one for Redraft, and then
I go A J Brown, CeedeLamb, Davante Adams, Saint Brown and
Diggs did the round out my tiertwo, followed by Jalen Waddle, Garrett
Wilson, D K. Higgins,Devanta Smith, and Amari Cooper to finish
my top fifteen off. So nowI gets something that's something that was my
bad. I probably should have weshould have clarified things a little bit more
(26:29):
as far as Zach goes. Solet's just basically say this my like I
said, Diggs, Olave will befinished out my top ten, and then
I got London Smith, Cooper Cupas my twelfth Christian Watson, Smith,
and Jigma and Higgins there to finisharound out my top fifteen. So who
(26:51):
do you like out of that group? So if you were to go Dynasty
right now, who do you likeout of that? Are you? Are
we on the same page kind ofthing with that? Say that bottom from
ten to fifteen where you got guyslike Lave, DeVonta Smith and Christian Watson.
You like all those guys down therein the top fifteen, do you
not? Yes? Yes, theyproved last year that they're worth They're worth
their contracts. So I mean,if you're in Dynasty, you want to
(27:12):
scoop those wide receivers up and signthem for a few years for sure.
Yeah, a lot of those guysare you know a lot of people that
you're reading and you know the factthat with Christian Watson all you know,
you got Jordan Love there. ChristianWatson is a stud or. Yeah,
Christian Watson is a stud I don'tthink it. If there's gonna be one
guy that that that's going to benefitfrom Jordan Love being there, I think
(27:32):
that is going to be Watson. They played a little bit, you know,
they played snaps snaps last year together. You know they got an off
season together. I think he's goingto be there, without a doubt,
their top target. And then that'swhy I also like guys like DeVonta Smith,
just because you see how this Phillypassing attack works. I think Devanta,
But there's enough out there. Wesaw it Devon Smith did last year.
(27:56):
There's enough out there for him andnot st Brown A J. Brown
too to feast. So maybe alittle bit different one for me in this.
Do you like in Jigba that highat you know inside Dynasty? That's
the one thing I was gonna askyou about. I do like him as
(28:21):
a d I thought he would bea deeper sleeper, but obviously he's high
on somebody's some of the some people'sradar. So I do like Najigba,
but I'm not sure if i'd havehim in my top fifteen. My my
way of looking at it is thefact that they do that. They do
got dk there, they do gotUh not Higgins Locket. I have a
feeling that they're gonna try to featurea guy like in Jigba only for the
(28:48):
simple factors. You know, he'sbasically gonna be Lockett's replacement, correct,
I mean we we've heard that. That's what they've said when they drafted him.
No, no, they didn't saythat out right, But I mean
you could tell they're the same typeof player. I just have a feeling
that, you know, for fordynasty purposes, I think he's gonna he's
going to see a field a lothis rookie year. That's why I do
(29:11):
have him as high as I doup there kind of you know, with
DK and stuff like that. LikeI I do still think I would.
I would scoop Pickens over him rightnow. Pickens, Yeah, over right.
Oh, I think that's one guythat I might one guy that some
people might not suspect that I wouldthrow in my top fifteen. Oh,
(29:36):
definitely not I've I've I would,I would say, yeah Pickens, you
know, can't say that I hatehim. I mean he's definitely Kenny Pickett's
favorite receiver. He's huge talents, and I mean the potential on him is
is, you know, maybe toptwenty. Yeah, I got him him
going over I got him going forover a thousand isn't on the year.
(30:00):
So but yeah, do you haveany anything else who want to go anybody
else who want to throw out thereright Now for wide receivers, we didn't
talk about Davonte Adams. What doyou think he's gonna be? Like in
Raiders Land with who knows at theat the helm this year? Like where
(30:21):
do you have him ranked? Ihave him if he if I got to
look at him and well, Dynasty, I have him outside of my are
inside my top twenty. However,Redraft, I do have him. I
do like him. I have himinside my top. I got him as
my wide receiver seven. I likehim to be honest, I think he's
(30:41):
going to be just fine. Itdoesn't matter who saw him. The ball
that offense is going to be,you know, based around him alone.
And I mean Jimmy GE's going tofind out one receiver that he's going to
lock in on, and it's justhe's going to feed him, right,
That's just what they do. Theydon't have a lot of talent behind there
technically. You know, first seasonin LA I mean over one hundred catches,
(31:04):
fifteen hundred yards and fourteen scores withDerek Carr and I guess whoever whoever
else was there, I guess itdoesn't really matter. But I mean Jimmy
g was able to open up youknow, open up training camp and practice.
So I mean, I think they'regoing to get a good rapport going
before the season even starts. Sotherefore, I'm not too I'm not worried
(31:25):
about Davante Adams at all. Isee another you know, over one hundred
catches, over fourteen hundred yards, double touchdowns. Again, right, so
where did you have him ranked? You had him? Okay, I had
I had as my wide receiver sevenseven. Yeah, yeah, okay,
(31:48):
let's inside my top, inside mytop twenty for Dynasty. But yeah,
why don't we head over the tightend position. This one will go,
We'll fly through. This is reallytight ends, really that exciting to talk
about outside up, I mean withhim, Yeah, yeah, we know
(32:08):
who we're getting. I mean, let's go without a doubt. Vis Kelsey
is the man. I mean,he's technically, uh, he's technically wide
receiver one in kid in Kansas City. I mean in twenty twenty two,
he was huge. So yeah,I mean everybody probably twelve go ahead.
(32:30):
Everybody last year thought he was gonnadip a lot. I remember at the
beginning of the season, everybody thoughthe was gonna dip and then he blew
everybody away. Yeah, oh,I know you were. I think we
had a fight about this and heblew everybody out of the word like I
think he was like at least seventyFantasy points ahead of Kittle, who was
(32:51):
number two last year. Yeah,he's he's unreal. There's no chance that
he's his I can honestly said, now, this production level is not going
to go down if you look atyou know, the past seven years,
he's finished as a tight end onesixth out of those seven years. So
I mean, and what tight endtoo, the one year he didn't finish,
I mean last year, twelve touchdownsover thirteen hundred yards. He had
(33:15):
over thirty red zone targets over onehundred and ten recent I mean, to
me, those numbers are ridiculous. That's why I'm not a game in redraft
grabbing Travis Kelsey in the first round. To me, he's giving you elite
wide receiver numbers on an ever endconsistently. And now you got a guy
(33:37):
like you know, they started talkingwith old Kadarius Tony's here, Well look
at that hurt Tony already hurt hisknee once, he's already had surgery.
So I mean that just bumps himdown the the you know, the trust
level for Mahomes. So that's whyKelsey to me is like easy, easy,
safe pick in the first round ofredrafts Casey. Casey can bring in
(33:58):
anybody in the league and Kelsey isstill gonna eat. Is Yeah, exactly
next one I got, I mean, I got, I got Mark Andrews
as my tight end two. Wouldyou argue that, I mean, it's
tough to argue He's he put upthe production last year, and I mean
some of them. It may saythat Kittle might still be that number two
(34:20):
guy. He was probably the concessusttoo last year. But with right Andrews
in Baltimore, he's been consistently puttingit up big numbers. So I mean,
it's tough to argue that he's notgoing to be that number two tight
end this year. Any of thosethree guys, I would, I mean,
either Kittle or Andrews, I woulddefinitely scoop probably in the in the
(34:40):
third round. What say you, yeah, I mean, I mean,
I'm I'm high. Like with MarkAndrews, I look at his numbers that
he puts up every single year, most years, down year last year.
Obviously, would you know I meanthere was injuries to him, Lamar Jackson,
I mean stuff like that. He'snot getting Lamar Jackson and throwing the
ball. So I mean, ofcourse his production is going to dip a
little bit. But now I dofeel like Lamar Jackson's going to be back.
(35:04):
I do think this offense is goingto run a little bit different,
and I do think that Andrews isgoing to be able to put those but
pretty much bounce back in twenty twentythree. You're really high on Kittle,
I have a guy in there aheadof him, T J. Hawkinson actually
really really love when he got tradedto the Vikings. I mean posted nearly
a thousand years receiving Becausins looked athim a ton. I don't see that
(35:28):
changing this year Shore they added Addisonthrough the draft, but I do see
Hawkins is going to reach that thousandyard mark in twenty twenty three this year.
I'm even with you know, Jeffersonposting the huge numbers that he's going
to get and same thing with Addisongoing to come on Stroum most likely his
rookie year. I like that Hawkinsonin Minnesota is most most rankings I've seen
(35:52):
has him ahead of Kittle right now. I do still like Beast Moore Kittle.
I think he's unstoppable when he's healthyand he's in beast mode. So
I mean, the one thing isKittle. The one thing that Hawkinson,
Andrews and Kel's have is that elitequarterback and Kittle just doesn't have that right
(36:13):
now. But he's still going tosee the targets and hopefully he can help
his quarterback out. Yeah, Idid. I was doing a little bit
of research this afternoon about stuff likethat, and you know, a lot
of which I didn't even think about. I mean, George Kittle, we
know. I mean, he hasthe potential to put up you know,
seven catch two hundred and fifty yardday with two touchdowns on any given week,
(36:37):
right, I mean, that's justthat's what he does. However,
now with the fact you know, basicly, Lasha, we saw it already
too. You know, with TrentWilliams out last year, we did see
Kittle wasn't as productive because he wasdoing a little bit more with the whole
blocking scheme, right, I meanthey needed him to block. And now
(36:59):
the act does you know what nowwith Mike Wilginci gone, Now what are
they going to do there? Ishe going to be relied on a little
bit more of that? Are theygoing to throw two tight ends out there
anyways? Maybe get you know,ROUSTDWELLI out there to block a little bit
more. I still do see youknow, Kittle putting up you know,
elite time, not necessarily Travis Kelseyor Mark Andrew numbers, but I mean
(37:20):
sixty plus catches, you know, eight hundred eight fifty nine hundred yeards,
receivings not not out of the question, and possible you know, nine to
ten touchdowns. So I mean he'sstill going to be up there. You
know that top. You know hecould basically push I mean, I mean
it's tight end position. It's sohard to try to play. It's probably
the one position that it's going tobe the toughest to dictate. But I
(37:44):
mean, I don't see him passing. You know, he's not going to
finish his tight end one definitely, not with not ahead of Kelsey. So
he did rank second in vasty pointslast year, behind behind Kelse, and
a lot of his UH ball camein the later half of this season,
so they were really using him downthe stretch. So hopefully it just continues
(38:05):
into this season exactly next guy likeand I'll keep pumping my tire, are
like pumping this guy up just becauseKyle Pits. I mean, we gotta
see something. We gotta see somethingout of this guy. He do.
The talent is there, everything isthere. He's got a good rapport already
with desnen Ritter. You know, they added Bijon, so I mean that's
(38:27):
going to help him out a lot. Even though this this offense is very
run heavy one, I do seePits stepping up, finally putting up that
thousand yards see season that we've thatwe've been hoping for, you know,
seventy to eighty catches is and outof the questions. So I don't see
his numbers going up very Uh,touchdown total is going to be questionable,
(38:52):
but I mean five six touchdowns Iwould think would be fine. I'm still
sort of waiting and scene with Pits. I have him a little bit lower
behind Godert and Waller, but I'mhoping he comes that whole offense sort of
comes out of a shell this yearand we see some better numbers out of
that entire core because they were notgood last year and the addition of a
(39:16):
better running game and a couple betterpassing options will help pits. I think
exactly, Dallas Goldert's the next guygot on there. I mean, now
that's when zach Ertz left. Thenwe kind of saw, you know them
unleashed Goldert. Yeah, in twentytwenty two. I mean, even though
(39:37):
he did miss five games with aninjury. I think this is another another
guy who you could put in abounce back category when it comes to players,
probably close. I can't see themputting up three three players with over
a thousand yards. I think that'sa little bit too much. But you
know, nine hundred and not toofar off from there. Five five is
(40:01):
five six total touchdowns is very doablefor them. Yeah. What so these
these tier two guys, where doyou think, like the Tier one guys,
they'll get draft in the top threerounds? I think the tier two
guys, do you where do youthink they're gonna start going after those top
(40:21):
three guys going probably five or sixor six? Yeah, yeah, I
mean you're gonna see most drafts isalways the way it works, right,
Like, I mean everybody has that. I mean I do. My mentality
behind it is, you know,if I can't get I've I've said it
many times and you know this fora fact, Habby, I've always said
I will wait on tight ends ifI can't get any of those top three
(40:44):
four guys, because there's such ahuge gap between those guys that I will,
I will, I will wait alot of people do. I mean,
you look at any you do,mock drafts, you do anything like
that, You're gonna see that exactthought process and a lot. However,
once you start to see one guy, two guys, three, three tight
ends go in one round, it'sbasically a tight end run after that.
(41:06):
So I mean, if you seethat and you like any of these guys
in the top ten, then Imean you better scoop them then, because
if not, you're going to bestuck taking guys like you know, Mike
Jasecki yor you know Greg Dulciez, which is absolutely having a horrendous training camp
right now. So yeah, there, I see. I see about eleven
guys in the tight end position thatI would be happy with as my number
(41:29):
one tight end, And I meanI would really really want to get one
of those guys. I think Ithink I would need to have one of
those guys. Yeah, exactly,And don't don't be don't be scared off.
I mean you basically, I meanI've I've done a few mock drafts
where I've tried to base it aroundwhere you know, if I take Travis
Kelsey, you know, in thefirst round, how is my team going
(41:51):
to play out? You know, once you lock up that tight end spot
though, you don't you really don'thave anything else to worry about, right
you can. You can wait fordays for that. Yeah, But don't
be afraid. If there is aguy out there that you like, like
a god or a guy like youknow, Pat fryar Muth or Darren Waller
who will be talking about next goand get him. I mean, don't
draft too high because I mean Iguarantee these guys shouldn't be drafted inside the
(42:15):
top five rounds. But I meanif if they if these guys faulty and
you like them at that spot, then go get him because you're still going
to get pretty much, you know, tight end one production out of these
guys. Yeah. Yeah, Solike I'm just mentioned Pratt, Pratt Fire
or fryar Muth, I mean Pickettloved him last year. Right now with
(42:37):
you know, hopefully Pickett's playing, you know, Pickets playing the whole seed
the full season obviously, I thinkyou're going to see friar Muth breakout.
And then you go to Darren Waller, you know, getting traded to the
to the Giants, missed a lotof time last year. He's a he's
a typical you know, bounced backplayer as well. I mean, but
(42:58):
however, going to the Giant andif he's healthy, he's going to put
a especially especially in the red zonefrom Daniel Jones. Yeah. Yeah,
he's been sort of waiting for aguy like that in the red zone.
I think that Daniel Jones is gonnabed and fit big time with Waller as
long as he's healthy there. Yeah, and then you know, round out
(43:23):
my top ten, I do haveEvan Ingram sitting there. I mean,
he he had a huge breakout seasonlast year, and I think those numbers,
those numbers should will slightly regress, you know, with the fact that
Ridley's joining the team, but Istill think he's going. I mean,
they just gave him an extension aswell, so they love this guy.
He's in line for at least youknow, seven eight hundred yards five touchdowns
(43:45):
as well. And then my DaltonSchotz are having my as my number ten.
The production last year went down.I mean obviously he Cooper rushing him
weren't on the same page. Imean, if you, if you would
Dak, like I mentioned earlier, had Dak been in in the lineup,
I think Schultz would have had amuch better, much better season than he
(44:07):
did. And I love the fact, you know, I'm a Texans guy.
I loved when they grabbed him.I mean, I love the fact
that the connection that him and Shrub'sgonna have. He's he's a huge presence
for that's He's gonna be a hugepresident presence on the field to help Stroud
when it comes to uh, youknow, getting comfortable in that Texans offense
(44:30):
for sure, and without a strongreceiving corps, I think they're gonna be
leaning on Schultz a lot, alot this season. Yeah, he should.
He should be Pepper quite a bit. The one guy. Oh,
I think I think the one guythat I would add to my list of
(44:50):
guys I need to have is I'mgonna trust in a Joku this year.
I am gonna trust into Joku thisyear. He is my he's my number
eleven, But like I said, there's eleven guys I had all the same
ranking, maybe a little bit inthe tier two guys moved around, but
all the same names in my topten as you and then I had.
(45:12):
Uh. Like I said, Nujokuat my eleven, and I think I
trust him as as a number onetight end for this season. Well,
I don't hate that. I thinkI think Watson him. You know,
they were on the same page lastyear, and like we mentioned, you
know now you're going to have afull season with with Watson. I mean,
(45:36):
I don't see I don't see thatthat that changing to be. To
be honest, the fact that heknow he played with Brissette last year for
those six games. We we obviouslyknow that Watson's a much much better tight
end, much better quarterback. Heuh. I mean, he had a
decent companion campaign last year. Fiftyeight catches for six hundred and twenty eight
(46:00):
yards and four touchdowns for a touchfor a tight end isn't bad. That's
mainly number two numbers, But Ithink that he could take up his game.
Another notch that was that that wasseventy two point five percent of his
targets and averaged forty four point nineyards per game. He is only twenty
(46:22):
seven, he's in his uh fifteenfifth year, and that's rate in the
prime of tight end's career. SoI think with Watson this year, we
could see ny Joko's best season.Yeah, and he has a full I
mean a lot of people could lookat it and say a lot of those
numbers he put up when it waswith Brissette. However, give the guy
(46:45):
a chance for the full season. With Watson, they'll get on the same
page and like like you said, you know, he could easily finish in
the top ten for sure. Likeafter those eleven guys a tight end,
they just fall off a cliff, like there's a huge, huge gap at
for that. So I would Imean, if you're drafting in a twelve
(47:05):
man league, get one of theseguys, any of the ten man league.
Obviously you can get one, right, you should get one. And
I mean one of my biggest sleepers. We'll talk about, you know,
in a couple episodes, well maybeour next episode. Now our rankings are
done. As a guy, likeyou know, Sam Laporta, I do
love him as a as a sleeper. This year and same with Cole Commet.
They keep Commits still down there inthe rankings, but I mean he's
(47:30):
going he's going to put up hisnumbers this year. I think, you
know, we're going to see adifferent justin Fields and we've seen and you
know, be having an edition ofyou know, like a DJ Moret there
as well. I do think thatCommits it's going to open up a little
if a few things for Committ aswell. I do think Fields is going
to throw the ball a lot morethan what we're used to seeing. So
(47:50):
yeah, there's some names down there. I mean, you're secon number two
tight end you're gonna be is You'regonna have to pick somebody who is You're
gonna have to take a chance soon. I mean there's even like guys
like Tyler Higbee, Like is hegonna be back like he was craped last
year? And like where do youtake a guy like even Irv Smith Junior,
Like he's gonna be in Cincinnati catchingthe ball from Burrow. I mean
(48:15):
he's gonna be a number two tightend for sure, But how high like
would you draft like some of thoseguys you know, see Irv Smith is
a sneaky one too, because Imean if you look at how this roster
was built from the Bengals, Imean they didn't invest in anything anything on
a tight end this year. Yeah, so they like him, you know,
(48:36):
they like him. You so whatkind of you know, Burrow used
Hurst last year. I think ifSmith's gonna be he's gonna be one of
those guys he typically could probably streamif you don't get one of these guys.
I mean I've done that and Redrofta few times too, especially in
our keeper league. I've always I'vealways had one solid tight end and I've
(48:57):
usually streamed week to week for therest of it. So but other than
that, happy, this is agreat episode. I'm glad we got things
sorted out with these wide receiver rankings, you know, halfway through it all,
because that's that's what we do.You know, we just glab ron
and you get angry and then Irealize, oh shit, I'm looking at
(49:17):
my dynasty ranking, my redraft. But anyways, do that you should do
that more often? Yeah? Oh, you know, gets us, gets
us arguing and exactly people want it, gets good conversation going. So even
though you sound like the idiot,oh, yeah, definitely. So hey,
but today, don't forget I'm thelast three years top ten buddy,
(49:38):
top ten, I got, Igot a badge to prove. I got
badge to proven you do. Soall right, Hobby, Well we will
jump on. I'm not sure we'llget an episode in next week only because
I'm gone for the week, andthen hopefully somebody either you and I or
you know, maybe the three youknow, throw rally on or get carried
(49:59):
out. There's well we could talksome sleepers and maybe do an episode of
sleepers and breakouts because then we're goinggolfing for for a weekend. So oh
yeah, but yeah, we'll getwe'll get things sorted. But outside of
that, guys, once again,if you haven't already done so, please
