the prices right and eating hot dogs. But that's a that's an inside joke
here, but I'm sure everybody willget that outside of my guest right now.
I'm assuming, however, like Ijust mentioned, I got a special

this episode, Geret, tell everybody, tell the listener where they can find
you, what you got going on, if there's anything in the works for
you. Yeah. No, Iactually have a podcast dropping tomorrow March fifth.
Basically I used to have a blogand I kind of re rebranded the

(01:52):

for the Love of Sports, Andlike I said, it drops tomorrow,
March fifth, on all streaming platformsand stuff. So if you want to

(02:36):
so just jump on it, listen, do it. And like you mentioned,
it's all sports. It's not justfootball. I know there's a lot
of you gambling folk out there thatjust love all sports. So listen to
him. He knows this stuff, especially marsh Minus coming right around the corner.
That's his go to I think so. But Garrett, before we jump
into the combine talk and everything, like, let's just talk some news.

(02:58):
A couple of things came across today. First thing, first thing in the
morning came up. Mike Evans agreesto a two year deal with Tampa Bay
fifty two million dollars thirty five milguaranteed. Love this for him, I
mean, he he's a Hall ofFamer in myles. I think this is
an ideal situation that he's in.Just good to see the Bucks get this

(03:20):
done before pre agency started. Yeah, No, he's in my opinion,
I think he's a first ballot Hallof Famer, Like he's sending records up
there with Terry Rice for most consecutivethousand yard seasons. And I mean there's
a lot of talk of him leavingto go to Chaser Ring, but he's
already got his ring. Obviously you'dlike more, but it's not like he
hasn't won it. And I thinkhe wanted to stay in Tampa. So
I think it's good for both sides. Honestly, Yeah, I agree,

(03:43):
and I mean that's it's gonna bea good thing for them to try to
get Baker. I think the negotiationsare still ongoing, and they've started negotiations
at least as of today with BakerMayfield. I mean, who would have
thunk would be talking to about BakerMayfield being the pretty much a stud quarterback
at this point in his career.Yeah, No, I think Baker definitely.

(04:05):
I've never been down on Baker.I think Cleveland did him real dirty,
and then Caroline is such a dumpsterfire and he saw a little spark
in La for a bit. LikeI've I've never been down on Baker,
like his biggest flawed that is thathe cares too much. He tries to
play for everything, and it fuckedhim up, right, But I love
seeing him succeed in Tampa. Ihonestly thought he should have won Comeback Player

(04:26):
of the Year. I think wehad kind of discussed that on the other
pod as well, Like, yeah, but it's it's good seeing him succeed.
I loved him in college, right, all the swagger he has,
and I love to see him gettingthat back. Yeah, I've been kind
of the same way I did.I wasn't really gainst anything he was doing,
just s Yeah, basically being putin tough situations. That's all it

(04:47):
kind of was. Yeah, AndI like even just mentioned the spark in
La kind of led him to thepoint with the Buccaneers And yeah, he
rolled last year overty over four thousandyards twenty eight touchdowns, career high.
So hopefully they could get him signed. The Butts would be smart to just
sign him, to be honest,Like, even if it's fits for a
one to two year deal or somethinglike that, right, Like, I

(05:08):
mean, they're not going to getany one of these top quarterbacks coming into
the draft maybe get somebody in youknow, the second, second, third
round, maybe they can you know, work behind Baker. That wouldn't be
a bad situation in my opinion. No, No, he definitely, Like
Baker's still young, there's still allthat potential, and you see what he's

(05:29):
doing when he's got legitimate weapons, like he has his best year because he's
got his best players around him.And I mean, why try to trade
up and get rid of all thisdraft capital if you already got some like
Baker there. And I honestly don'tthink he is just a quick fix.
I think he's kind of I thinkhe could find a permanent home in Tampa.
I mean he wont him a playoffgame last year? Like exactly.

(05:49):
Yeah, I like it. AnotherQB talk about Russell Wilson released by the
Broncos wowsers. I was reading, you know, since he was being released,
is it before March thirteenth or somethinglike that allows the team to distribute
that dead cap hit over the nexttwo seasons, And that's I don't know,
correct me if I'm wrong. Isn'tit like a thirty five million dollar

(06:12):
cap hit or something like that?It is an insane amount of money.
Everything I kind of heard is theywere trying to they're hoping to get through
next season before they had to dothis. But Sean Payton, who's an
asshole. I think Sean Payn's anasshole. Great coach Ornaugh, he's an
asshole. I don't think he handledit well and I think that just kind
of became unrepairable. And I meanhe was hinting at it like he wasn't

(06:33):
even hitting out. He's just beingblunt. He's like, yeah, like
we're looking at quarterbacks and stuff. We need to find a quarterback. I
mean that they got Russell Wilson onthe roster at the time, and I
honestly think this just kind of opensit up for them to take a quarterback
that twelve spot and Sean Payne toget his guy, and hopefully they draft
the right quarterback for once they they'vehad terrible quarterbacks exactly so. And another

(06:58):
big thing, Jason Kelcey packed itin retired thirteen seasons. I believe.
I watched the I watched the announcement. Man, that guy's emotional. Man.
I loved it. I loved seeingthe guy just he straight up just
cares about football, loves football. He's definitely going to be missed. But
man, oh man, I'm surethat's not the last we've seen of him,

(07:18):
though. I'll tell you that they'vegot They've got a lot, a
lot of stuff brewing right now,so I can see him up there,
you know, announcer booth or somethinglike that, on top of his podcast
and all that. So I thinkwe're gonna hear lots of them. Yeah.
No, I tweeted about it becauseJason Kelcey embodies why we all love
football. I mean, I gotI cried last time I played football,

(07:42):
like when my career ended, Likeit's why we all love football, Like
he loves it more than anything. And honestly, retiring is sad because you
don't get to watch him play.I loved watching him play. But I
honestly think you're gonna get to seeso much more of his personality now because
he's gonna be on television. You'rennasee all the all the quirkiness, the
goofiness that you saw me celebrating Travis'ssuper Bowl is Road to the super Bowl

(08:05):
and everything like that. You're gonnasee so much more personality out of Jason.
He's gonna be picked up by oneof the networks on top of his
podcast. But you're gonna see somuch more of them now, and I
think that's phenomenal. But it wasa sad day, and it's always it's
always sad when one of the alltime greats hangs it up. Oh yeah,
it'll be it'll be uh, it'llbe curious to see. Yeah,

(08:26):
like you said, what network doesgrab him because you know, just just
listening to the podcast to you know, him breaking down you know, games
in general, his games or whatever, Travis's games. He just he knows
the shit, so it'll be niceto see. So I would say that's
truly all the big, big newsthat we got to talk about. Let's

(08:48):
jump over to this scouting combine thatwe had this past week, and let
me ask you a question, Garett. If you had to run a forty
right now, what do you thinkyour time would be. I know that
at my peak I was in thefour seven fours with the laser, so
I hope in sub five still Igot the bad knees, bad hit,
but at least I'd be faster thanmost of the offensive lineman. I would

(09:11):
hope. Oh geez, I triedto. I don't know if you if
if you saw the video of merunning a forty yard dash with with Riley
years ago on my birthday. Ithink it was my fortieth, so about
five years ago. So we werein Sandy, we were in l eight
and we went to watch the Chargerstraining camp. And what happened was they

(09:37):
had at the training camp, theyhad like a forty yard dash, you
know, you know, timing andall that stuff like that. So I
was like, yeah, let's runit. So Riley ran it. I
ran it. I insisted I beathim. He didn't believe me, and
so we decide on my fortieth birthday. I'm hammered in flip flops. He
says, okay, well let's runit. So I'm like, let's do

(09:58):
it. Did you see this video? By the way, No, I
haven't seen the video, but itsounds like something we should be doing relatively
soon. Again, by the way, this is so we'll ask ask Caylus.
So yeah, if you guys don'tknow, yeah, Garrett's dating my
daughter. That's how we kind ofmet and stuff like that. But yeah,
ask Kylus. She's got the video. But yeah, I ENAs if

(10:20):
you guys want, if you guyswant after this episode, hit us up
on Facebook or on Twitter or somethinglike that. You want to see this
video, I'll be more than happyto share it. I was I could
not see straight. I'll tell youthat much. And if you want to
have a good laugh, that's goingto be it. So love it all
right, Garrett onto the quarterbacks forthe combine. Didn't really see too much

(10:43):
happening from these quarterbacks. Let's juststart with the guy that you're very familiar
with, JJ McCarthy. I meanto me, I said to you,
I tweeted out early when I waswatching him, I'm like, I'm not
really sure. I really liked howhow we throwing the ball started out a
little bit rough, but as youcan see, as he started to get
comfortable, his throws became absolutely unbelievable. I think it definitely moved up the

(11:11):
moved up the chat thing. He'sa little bit closer to that QB three
than people think. I just thinkthe only thing that people really can even
you know, say about JJ McCarthyis just his lacky usage. I guess
at Michigan, you know what Imean. Like, basically, he wasn't
asked to do too much, right, So how is that going to transpire
to the NFL, am I correct? Like was that? Would that be

(11:33):
pretty pretty fair to say? Yeah? Like, so a few of the
knocks on him. One was thearm strength. I'll touch on this.
So at the combine, the quarterbacksthat were throwing, they did a test
to se who could throw the hardestball. So Joe Milton threw the hardest
ball at sixty two miles pro andany football fan knows he's absolute cannon.

(11:54):
Well JJ McCarthy at sixty one milesprour. So he has the arm strength,
like it's the armstrings there. Andyeah, he didn't have to be
used like all these other college quarterbacks, right Honestly think that's a benefit because
he doesn't have to learn how torun the I formation, the protel offenses
that they use in the NFL,as opposed to like someone like Caleb Williams

(12:15):
or Drake May who's always spread right, Like, he doesn't have to learn
to go under center. He doesn'thave to learn those little things. Obviously
he needs a little more usage. But like you saw it at the combine,
like first couple of deep throws weren'tthe best, but then you settle
in like he's he's a five starquarterback for a reason. He's a national
champion winning quarterback. He's the MVPof the Rose Bowl. Like he steps
up when he needs to. Helost one game in college, and even

(12:37):
then he almost led like a twentyone point comeback. Like he's he's my
number three, if not my numbertwo quarterback. And it's a little biased
because he used quarterback by their team. He wants a national championship that no
one can ever take away from me. But he's answering all these questions.
And he's also such a great lockerroom guy, a great teammate. You
watch the combine, he's how youhype in it everybody up. His day

(13:01):
was over other quarterbacks and we're goingto Xavier Worthy ran forty times. Did
you run it out? Celebrated thatwas awesome. Yeah, Like he's he's
doing like the Dion runout. AndJJ McCarthy's the second guy to greet him
in his in his street close Likehe's a good dude. He's a good
locker room guy. He works harderthan anybody. And again he beat mental
mental illness by just googling how tobeat mental illness. So that's pretty cool.

(13:24):
He's a good dude. I loveJJ and I'm gonna glaze all like
the whole time, the whole offseason, the rest of his career, honestly,
like, he's such a good quarterbackand I really really think he's gonna
succeed at the next level. No, I agree. I turned my It
opened my eyes a little bit toafter this combine to see what he can

(13:45):
he can actually do. A coupleother guys. I mean, none of
these quarterbacks are technically really loses.Because I said we did, we didn't
really see anything. I'm not I'mI'll tell you right now, I'm not
a fan of Kleb Williams. II I know you, I know you
love him. I know everybody lovesthe guy, but I don't know.
There's something about him just I don'tknow. Too much of a diva in

(14:07):
my eyes, in my opinion. When I mean, I think, you
know, his dad's too involved.I don't think he's a great locker room
guy. I don't know if he'sgoing to be able to handle the fact
if he starts losing. I don'tthink the fact I don't even think he
wants to go to the Bears anyways. Although he's you know, hyping up
the Bears and stuff like that. But maybe that could be one of those
things where he's just saying things toI don't know, there's something that just

(14:31):
doesn't doesn't vibrate with me when itcomes to when it comes to him,
I'm sure he's a great quarterback,but I don't know. I'm glad I
don't have the one on one andI'm first I have I have to make
that pick. I honestly think ifyour team had the one one and you
didn't have CJ. Shroud, youwould love him. He's an easy guy
to hate. Like I will agreewith that. I mean, he paints

(14:52):
his nails right. He had thefuck Utah when he lost to Utah two
years ago, and like, honestly, I love stuff like that, Like
I love trash talk. I lovetaking those jabs. And then obviously if
it doesn't go your way, yougotta you gotta deal with it. We
also see this happen every year wherethe consensus number one overall pick is just
getting trashed by the media. AndI do think his dad's in his ear

(15:13):
and his dad's kind of kind ofmessing messing around a bit, and it
might be given a bad look andstuff. I mean, Caleb didn't do
any of the medical stuff because he'slike, not all thirty two neat thirty
two teams need my medical because I'monly going to this one team. So
a little bit of arrogance to him. I don't hate that, uh,

(15:33):
I do think. I do thinkhis teammates like him. I saw an
interaction with him and Brandon Rice atthe combine and stuff, and they were
laughing and like giggling and he washaving a good time and stuff. So
I think we're kind of reading intoit a little too much just because he's
ye know, when someone's built themselvesup, while we try to do is
tear him down. And I mean, no one's talking about Marvin Harrison Junior

(15:54):
not doing any of this stuff withthe combine because he's not a quarterback.
So I can understand your hatred. You got a bit of an old head
opinion, which I don't necessarily disagreewith. I would disagree with completely.
I just we do this every year. We did this with Trevor Lawrence,
we did this with Bryce Young,Like we just try to tear him down,
and I don't want to do that, per se and I do think

(16:17):
Caleb's gonna be a very good quarterback. But yeah, his dad's got to
get out his ear, like honestly, like his dad's doing them zero favors.
Like he needs an agent, likehe didn't get on because the agents
couldn't work away around so he cansign a max deal right out the gate
because he thinks that's where his sun'sworth. Like it's, yeah, that's
weird to me. That's it's justlittle things like that exactly. I like

(16:38):
the response that Jayden Daniels gave asfar as when he they asked him why
he didn't want to throw out thecombine for him, He basically just said,
you know what if I throw IfI throw him my pro day,
everybody's going to be there. Itlooks good for him, it looks good
for his you know, his teammates, right because his teammates are going to
also get that that exposure on whatwhat can be done. So I like

(17:02):
that response from the kid. Ido like him everything I've watched, you
know, watched the bottom as thecrazy athletic. I believe his all of
his interviews, people were just sayingit was he did great and he's a
team players pretty much what people weresaying. So I'm I'm very happy,

(17:22):
uh with that? And yeah, outside of that, another maybe one guy
we'll touch on real quick, MichaelPennix. I know a lot of people
were basically, you know, medicalhistory. Everything was about medical history.
While he got a clean beer, clean bill of health from medical From a
medical standpoint, I think that didnothing. But you know, maybe maybe

(17:44):
consider him now. I mean notin like say the top four, but
just you know, consider maybe movehim up a little bit in that draft
board for some teams, you know, six two, two, sixteen.
I mean he has a size abilitymovement pocket. I don't know, he's
a good early round, second roundpick. For me, I would think,
oh yeah, I got I justgot one question for you. If

(18:07):
Caleb Williams had had the answer JadeDaniels had, would you have still liked
it? Or is there a littlebit of bias they're going just because he's
been irritating you, he's irritating me. I don't like I don't like guys
that have not thrown a single patJaden Daniels didn't say anything arrogant. The
last the thing anything I've heard anyinterview I've cut that I've heard of Caleb

(18:30):
Williams. He's acting like he's thefucking next Sechic coming to Christ that he's
going to save the NFL. Wedon't need him to save the NFL.
Just go out there and play fuckingfootball, man, that's what we want
to see. To me, fromwhat I saw in college, anything I
saw in college didn't really I don'tknow. I can't really say it didn't
impress me. He did do alot of good things, but it's to

(18:51):
me, I'm just he's just anotherquarterback. The big thing for me is
how he's going to he's going toreact to the NFL level, how he's
going to be able to perform atthe NFL level. He's going to a
team, granted that's not going tohave the best team right off the bat,
you know what I mean. Obviouslythey have the number one pick for
a reason. I mean, theygot some some weapons in that receiving game,
but I mean they got a lot. They need to do a lot.

(19:15):
They need to surround whatever team getshim. They need to surround him
with some weapons. If he doesn'thave those weapons and the team's just to
falter, I can see him havingI don't know. I don't know how
he's going to handle the losing. To be honest with you, I don't
know. That's just my opinion.I think he'll handle losing better just because

(19:37):
in college he lose one game. It's kind of over like when we saw
him cry after games. It's becausehe lost the second game of the year,
so he knew he was never gonnawin a national championship, and then
he cried again when he realized hewas never going to win a Pac twelve
championship, which, honestly, Ihave no issues with tears. I also
want to say I don't think theBears are as bad as everyone says because
it isn't their pick. Granted, they have a top ten pick still,

(20:02):
but things have really been turning aroundthe back half of the season, so
I don't think the Bears are asfar off as a traditional team with the
number one pick would be. Andthen they got they got a lot of
money. They got a lot ofmoney that they can exact left with,
right, So well, I mean, you take Caleb at one, and
then you take a receiver at nine, maybe like you Odonsea or Odonsay could

(20:22):
be there, like and then gettingback on tracks of the Michael Penis thing,
like the clean bill of Health wasawesome to see. I have heard
talks that a lot across a lotof big boards that there's a debate whether
it's Pennix or McCarthy for that fourspot. Uh, I don't. I
think. I think age does haveto matter in a situation like this because

(20:45):
he's just so much older like you. You'd rather you'd rather have you draft
a quarterback where it's like I'm gonnaget like good fifteen years out of him
because he's a twenty one year oldand stuff. But I like Penix.
I've I've I've never rooted a againstPennix except for in the National Championship game.
Like he's a good dude, he'seasy to cheer for, great story,

(21:06):
great teammates. So I did likewhat I saw on him at the
Combine. It was it was McCarthywon him too, that the quarterback position
for me. So at the Combineshow it like results at the Combine,
I should say yeah, yeah,Oh. I was like, oh wow,
No, No, I'm not No, I'm not that outrageousick, how

(21:26):
do you think bo Nicks? Did? I mean? I have him as
a winner in this one. Iliked the way I liked his I like
the way he threw. I likethe way that he made adjustment. I
mean he was making adjustmice to receivershe's never thrown the ball to and he's
he's hitting them with it with histhrows, right, So I mean,
obviously they all had a few misses, but as far as everything else,
I think, I mean, hewas hitting every throw of footwork looked great.

(21:49):
I think the big knock on himis like you just mentioned his age,
correct, Yeah, no, hisage. He's a very accurate quarterback.
So the issue I I don't knowif I was being more critical because
I was just like so locked inon like JJ McCarthy has to be the
best kind of thing. But Ijust the only issues I really took with
him is when they were throwing deepballs when he was missing. He was

(22:11):
missing him because he was underthrowing himby like ten fifteen yards, which I
get you've never played with them before, but that that seems like a big
drastic thing. And I don't knowif he was a little timid just because
it's the combine and stuff. Butlike I mean, you ask any coach
you'd rather someone over get, likeoverthrow by fifteen yards than underthrow by fifteen
yards. Like everyone loves the JoshAllen arm punts right like third and ten

(22:33):
and he throws at sixty five yards. That's like, that's that's as good
as a punt. So I hada little issues with that. But other
than that, he's like he holdsthe FBS record for completion percentage of the
season with like seventy seven point three. Like he's a good quarterback. It's
just like the knock is the age, and he does still need a little
bit of developing, right like allthese quarterbacks will, especially with the offenses

(22:55):
he played in, Like it's there'sgonna take more time, and then all
of a sudden, he's twenty sevenby time you get him geared up,
Like I mean, next will bea good thirteen years out of it.
But he'll be a seconds a daytwo guy, Like I don't. I
couldn't. I couldn't have fathom himbeing in the in the first round,
Like he'll be a Day two guyat least at the earliest. Exactly.

(23:15):
Okay, head over to the runningback position. Anybody stand out in the
combine for you? Here uh so, yeah, Like I liked what I
saw out of Blake Quorum just againa bit of a homer, but Blake
Quorum, no, Like I don'tknow. I I guess it's just I've
watched him for like three years, just like be a stud in Like the

(23:37):
last three years of watching Michigan footballwere just as amazing as it could be.
Like I felt like a Georgia orin Alabama. It was fun.
But I really liked Isaac Garndo outof Louisville. I don't know if I
said his name uh correctly, soI apologize if I spoke incorrectly with it.
But like the thing for me waswhen I was looking up his scouting
reports and stuff, is like theknocks on him where he's like he lacks

(24:00):
burst and he lacks uh he likelike he he takes round it cuts.
But I mean he had the fourthree three forty yard time as well as
I think he had like a onepoint five to two ten yards. But
I've been real into these ten yardssplits just because like that one point five
five ten yards split. I've beenmore into the ten yards splits because they're
more indicative of what and U NFLgame is going to be like that quick

(24:23):
burst rate out the gate and soso like I thought he answered the questions
of lax burst. And in thedrills I saw his cuts seemed really sharp
and crisp. And obviously he's onhis best behavior at the combine, right
and he won't be on his proday, so like, maybe he tends
to get lazy, but from allthe film, I wok, he doesn't
seem like a lazy runner. AndI honestly think he answered the questions about

(24:45):
his burst and his athleticism. Yeah, I believe, I believe, if
I'm not mistaken, he did putup the best numbers for any back at
the combine. You mentioned. Don'tforget the forty one and a half introverts.
I mean, this is this kid? Can this kid's athletic? I
mean, there's nothing, nothing youcan deny about that. I haven't watched

(25:07):
too much on him though. Thoseare the few things that did stand out
to me though. Was that definitelywas his uh what was his forty another
guy? You well, you're talking, I mean, go back to Blake
Horm. I thought he looked great. I thought he had a he had
a fantastic combine. I measured overtwo hundred pounds four five three forty,

(25:29):
which was good. Uh. Inmy opinion, I didn't think he did
anything to uh definitely didn't do anythingto hurt his uh his his stock is
at all in order to fall.So one guy was very quite impressed with
too. Is Marshaun Lloyd Uh justa notch his natural running ability, great

(25:51):
footwork, hit movement throughout every drill, forty yard dash four four six two
twenty pounds, a pretty decent seniorball, and now good combat. I
think I think his stock is Ithink he's going to be moving up the
moving up the draft boards a littlebit. Uh uh this year. No,
I would have to agree with that. I when I was looking into

(26:14):
him, the biggest issues I sawwith him. I mean, he has
a bit of injury history, whichisn't too bad, but it was he
uh. It was his vision, his his like his running back vision.
Not not like not that he haspoor eyesight obviously, but like just like
seeing the holes, making the rightreads. And when I see stuff like
that, I don't think it dingsthem as much as most people think,

(26:34):
because like it's such a teachable thing. Like when you talk about like all
this tight end needs to be abetter blocker, and like, well you
could teach that, Like that issuch a teachable thing. You can't teach
god given athleticism and stuff. Andthat's and that's like what these backs we've
been talking about have. They havethis athleticism and you can just teach her
to make the right read, youcould, Like it's no different than teaching
someone the difference between cover one andcover zero, right, Like it's all

(26:59):
these things that these weakness does alot of these players have are so teachable,
and any coach worth his paycheck couldteach him that in the NFL.
So I agree, I do believehis stock is going up. All right,
you got anybody else you want totouch on? Real quick? Here
are you in the running backs?Yeah? No, no, no,
let's head over to let's head overthis receiving class. There was a ton

(27:22):
of I mean, i' met,I think we we have to start off
with a question with Xavier Worthy.I mean this skill wow, lightning fast,
uh five to eleven one sixty five. He showed how just how explosive

(27:44):
he is. Forty one inverts uhfor him, I think the only knock
he could put on him right nowis the fact that he is on the
smaller side one hundred and sixty fivepounds, But I mean his bill I
need to run, man, thatthat four yeard dash really really open my
eyes. I mean he could createmismatches, I think. I think whoever

(28:08):
gets him, whatever OC gets him, is just going to be loving life
come draft day. Yeah, ifhe ends up a chief, I'm gonna
kill myself because that just like Ijust no, he he is, like
you could just see it even whenhe even it's like his get off and
anything like it was just above andbeyond better than even the guys running the

(28:30):
four two weights like it was.It was insane. And yeah, like
the knock on him is his sizeand that should come with that'll come with
just NFL diet and stuff like that. And obviously he'll probably lose like a
couple of ticks just because like youput on more weight, you're not gonna
necessarily well you won't necessarily get solerBut like he might not be as fast,
but I mean he's still I mean, he's the fastest paraty that Combin's

(28:52):
ever seen. And he will needto put on weight, but I don't
think that's as big of an issue. I don't think Tyreek was too big
coming out. Henry Ruggs was waslight. I mean, obviously don't do
any of the off field stuff, but like when you saw Henry Rugs,
like if you're just if you can'tget hurt, if you're faster, and
everybody like you can't, I meanobviously hamshrew and stuffing, like if you

(29:14):
just outrun everybody like you're fine,Like it's and you just again you can't
teach speed, like it's just hewas so he was so fast. It
was like I and the best partof what watching the combine is is it
clocked in a four to two twounofficial, so everyone was like real pumped
and then and then you got DanielJeremiah just coming over the top being like,
yeah, so that's actually a fourto two one. And then it's

(29:34):
like you can just hear Lucas OilStadium just like when they find out,
they're just like erupted and everyone's sohappy for them. And which is one
of the great things about football isit's a brotherhood. So that was awesome
to see. Like I it wasa very fun combine just just because of
that. Honestly, yeah, Iand I definitely enjoyed it. It was.
It was great just all that.Just watching those those there's a lot

(29:56):
of fast receivers. There's a tonof forty times that went up there.
I was just like wow, andeven talking about with that, talk about
even you know, the defensive tackles, some of the forty yard dashes that
they put up. But you're blewmy mind. Yeah, Uh was there
a receiver that you really liked? There was? There's there's two that stood

(30:18):
out to me that weren't exavierer worthybecause I didn't want to be the stereotypical
guy just talking about that. Yeahworthy teammates Donnie Mitchell, I thought,
had a really good day. Uh, he he was. He's also explosive.
I think he ran in like thelike the four three threes or the
four three fours or something like that. I don't have the number in front
of me, but uh again,I was reading the knocks on Yeah,

(30:40):
the knocks on him were you know, he's a body catcher and like he's
lacking that competitive edge, and Ihonestly think, well, first off,
he was he wasn't catching with hisbody. He was attacking the ball with
his hands. It was. Itwas looking smooth and it didn't look there's
no double clutches or anything like that. And honestly, I do think he's
a hard working dude. And thenthe uh, the other one was h

(31:04):
lad McConkey. Uh. He hegave me big cub vibes. Yeah,
go ahead, like the no,the body control he has, like when
they were doing the gauntlet and likeyour like in front of you who don't
know what the gauntlet is. It'swhere you turn around, catch, turn
around, catch, and then yourun a straight line. You catch and
you're right, you're left, you'reright, you're left, your right,

(31:25):
and then you cut up field. And the big thing they see all that
they want your body control. Theywant to see if you have this body
control, so they want you runningdown this yard line like just like it.
I think it was maybe the fortyor something and a lot of receivers
tend to veer away to go tothe ball and stuff. It was straight
as an arrow. He was clockingit like I think nineteen miles an hour
was he was doing it, andit just gave me like size whites,

(31:47):
just like Cooper Cup like it justyou just like or like when you saw
Hunter renfro and Clemson just like aguy who maybe isn't like he was a
lock on a Georgia at one point. Like he's got all these intangibles and
he just like hard work and hedoes all the little things right the makeup
for maybe the lacky lack of athleticismat heighten certain spots. But lad Mconkey

(32:07):
was like he stood out. Iwas. I was, to be honest
with you, it's it's always coolto see a white receiver doing something good.
Very few of them, yeah,a lot of it. When when
he did, when after the endof after he was done his kindlind just
a lot of people just talk abouthis size. I mean they can say
that about every single one of thesereceivers almost. I mean, I think
he measured six pounds. I thinkover the offseason, I think he's probably

(32:31):
going to put on probably another youknow, five to ten pounds of muscle.
I think I think that's just it. I think we're going to see
big things from Aconkey this year.I'm actually excited to see him. That
was one guy that did stand outfor me. Another one I wanted to
touch on was where did I havemy notes? Here. Sorry, Oh

(32:58):
no, that was it. Oh, Xavier leged we didn't talk about him,
right yeah, uh four three nine, uh six one two eleven they
anything. I did read about himand see, not necessarily at the combine,
but overall route running. There weresome concerns there, but I mean

(33:19):
that's going to come in time, right, I mean he is unbelievable hands.
Uh, he's got big playability.I think his vertical it was forty
inches broad jump ten to six. He's explosive and I think he's going to
be a deep threat and he's fast, so I mean watch out for him
as well. No, and hedoesn't really have the uh the size issue
that a lot of the other receivershave. Right, Like he's coming in

(33:42):
at six one twenty one. Ithought he had a good date. Like
it was weird because I watched thiscombine and I was like, there isn't
a lot of people hurting their stockright now. I don't know if that's
just because I just want I justwant everyone taking the best of everybody and
stuff, like even the Ohio Steakguys. I was like, oh no,
like they're doing well, which alwayshurts. Uh. Yeah, No,

(34:04):
it's just like you said, likehis routes and stuff and that just
like that just takes time, likethat just takes coaching and stuff like,
and that does fall in the coaches. He does need a good coaching staff.
But he's Yeah, I thought hehad a good day. I do
want to shout out Roman Wilson realquick too, because he's a top fifty
prospect and no one really seems totalk about. I thought he had a
very good day too. Just quick, tiny guy again just like but makes

(34:28):
the big plays, great hands. He made impressed catches all last year and
I again, really good combine forhim as well. Yeah that's uh,
that's about what I got, man. That's pretty much it in a nutshell.
You got anybody else? Yeah, yeah, no, it was definitely

(34:49):
good. Now, how do youthink you're doing the Gauntlet? I wouldn't
need Like if you told me GauntletFriday, I'd have to put a bit
of effort in. I just haven'tcaught it football in years. That's like
like a legitimate football. But thatwas like it always like that was always
my one good trait where it's likehe doesn't drop anything. I was what

(35:12):
you call like a zone beater becauseI wasn't super quick, but I was
able to just kind of be smartenough to find open space and just always
catch the ball. So if yougave me like two days, I could
probably lock it, because the firstday I can try to catch football would
be rough. I would be veryquickly either. I wouldn't even know which
which football was coming from where I'dbe like god, to just get some
off the back of the head NonStop. So, oh, that video kills

(35:34):
me. Oh yeah, I justdon't. I did just see that not
too long ago. I think justyesterday. I think I was looking at
it and we came across my feed. So that video and the Chris Jones
falling out during the forty resurface everyyear. Classic classic. All right,
