Socialdemokraten Ernst Wigforss (1881-1977) kallas världshistoriens mest framgångsrike socialist av den internationella statsvetenskapen – i Sverige har han benämnts som vårt lands främsta politiska geni. Nu kommer den första biografin om ideologen och finansministern som skapade 1900-talets svenska socialdemokratiska välfärdsstat, "Den förbannade optimisten Ernst Wigforss: Socialisten som skapade Sverige" (Historiska Media, 2023), av Henrik Arnstad. Han intervjuas av Ola Larsmo tillsammans med Per Juhlin, som talat in ljudboksupplagan av boken. Samtalet går igenom Wigforss politiska liv och avslutas med det stora mysteriet angående denne man; var det han som var förlagan för Skalman i serien "Bamse"?
