SHOW NOTES

In Podcast Episode 326, “Having the Heart of the Good Shepherd,” Kim discusses the heart of the Good Shepherd, as detailed in John 10, and the importance of praying for that heart to be in leaders today. Sadly, many who have been privileged to proclaim the Word of God, either in a pulpit or in a concert setting, have acted more like the wolf than a Godly shepherd. May today be a turning point as our prayers pour heavenward on behalf of all those in ministerial roles.

Our focal passage for this episode is 2 Kings 8:7-15, with verses 11-12 as the focal verses:

11 Elisha stared at Hazael with a fixed gaze until Hazael became uneasy. Then the man of God started weeping.

12 “What’s the matter, my lord?” Hazael asked him.

Elisha replied, “I know the terrible things you will do to the people of Israel. You will burn their fortified cities, kill their young men with the sword, dash their little children to the ground, and rip open their pregnant women!”
