Life throws so many curve balls at you. Life will throw anyone and everyone a curveball. In 2008, life, or in this case a consulting firm I worked for through me a ridiculous curveball. I was unexpectedly laid off out of nowhere. Aside from being laid off; I can honestly say this was one of the darkest times in my life.
I explain much of this in this episode and I also share helpful pieces that make sure you can make it through your dark time or layoff. In this episode I am speaking specifically about me being laid off, but let the word layoff be a metaphor for anything and everything.
Whatever might be hurting you, stressing you, defeating you or making you feel small is your layoff. It doesn't just have to be your job, it can be anything.
Even still, we have to get better about turning our layoff into our payoff. It won't always be easy, but I promise it will be worth it!
