This week saw the surprise release of the trailer to the pseudo-sequel to Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane (link below). With the quiet marketing campaign to such an anticipated film (starring John Goodman for good measure), it got us, at Exit Only Theater, thinking - how did Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot pull this off? Plus, we compare this marketing campaign to that of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - is it better to give the audience a glimpse or leave them wanting more? And, we take some time to pay our respects to two incredible industry talents - the musical genius that was David Bowie and the wonderfully talented Alan Rickman. We share our fondest memories, and take time to talk about their respective impacts within recent pop culture. Special thank you to Shawn Howard and Jonathan Fisher for their help this week!
