"Breaking the Chains of Fear: Living Fully in God's Love"

What's your BIGGEST FEAR? Do you relate to being fearful at times...

Fear and love cannot coexist. As believers, we’re called to live out of love, not fear, as fear contradicts the perfect love that comes from God. In this episode, we’ll unpack 1 John 4:18, which reminds us that "perfect love drives out fear." Discover how fear can control our stories if we let it, and why it's vital to embrace God's love to walk in faith, courage, and freedom. Join us as we explore what it means to break free from fear's grip and live a life fully rooted in love, purpose, and trust in God's promises. This description focuses on the contrast between fear and love and emphasizes the believer’s call to live from a place of love.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
But when I left, I realized that it wasn't me.
You know, I wasn't me. In my flash, I wanted
to reach out to this person was it was a
holy spirit.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
That's when God pressed upon me that it's not about
me at all, and I like sunk right there on
that stage. I went silent. I froze up. Hey, what's up, guys,
We're back. I'm super excited because right now we're going
to talk about something that the Scripture literally says it's
contradictory to love. Y'all want to talk about it? Fear?

(00:37):
The Bible talks about love cast out all fear. When
we have love, there's no space for fear. Love pushes
back on fear. And one thing that I want to share,
but I would actually have wife share first. What is
a big fear that you have to overcome? I want
to talk to y'all in a minute about well, a
moment I got stage fright. It was my very first

(00:58):
speaking engagement. Man, scared out of my mind. Up there
you were. I was super confident getting there, but once
I got in front of all the people. What's one
of your most scariest moments?

Speaker 1 (01:12):
I would say I have multiple, but I'm gonna share one.
I think that would have been to uh talking of
witnessing to somebody and sharing what God had showed me,
or the nudging of the Holy Spirit to go out
and share what God was telling me for that person.
And I think there's this one time one day I

(01:33):
was in the car and I had my babies in
the car, and I was driving, and then I see
this this homeless person holding a sign and he was
needing some help. And at the end he had Jesus,
the spotless, blameless Lamb of God who took away the
sins of the world. And so immediately I was like wow,

(01:53):
and I felt and he actually he had something wrong
with his leg. He couldn't walk right, something was going on,
and so I just felt the Holy Spirit wanted me
to go pray for that person for healing over his leg.
And I remember I was very like battling with MyD
like I have my kids babies. There were babies, like
eight months, two babies in the car, and I was like,

(02:14):
do I pull the car over, get out the car
and pray for this man or should I just go home,
just mind my business and go right back home. And
just the Holy Spirit was just so strong. I just
couldn't ignore it. I literally like made a U turn
and I waved at the guy at the older man

(02:34):
that to meet me in the parking lot that was
near to where we were, and so I pulled the
car over, and you know, I told them, you know,
like just God, like God had highlighted to you, and
God wants me to pray for you, pray healing over
your leg and what was wrong with him. So we
ended up praying, and I don't know if healing actually happened,

(02:55):
but I do remember it being something miraculous. Like I
remember it was like a cloudy day and out of nowhere,
like this bright sun started shining upon this man, and
it was just kind of like a holy moment in
that moment right there, like time left and it was
just like this moment right here that God was having.
I was able to minister him, pray for him, and
help him with what he needed. But when I left,

(03:18):
I realized that it wasn't me, you know, I wasn't
me in my fledgh. I wanted to reach out to
this person. Was it was a holy spirit. And when
it's something of God, there's this boldness. This just come
upon you, like it's a boldness that comes upon you
that you can't shut down, that you can't avoid, you
can't ignore it, like it's a boldness that comes from

(03:40):
from Christ. And so that day I overcame the fear
of man, because what are people gonna think? What is
this person gonna think of me? That I'm just this
lady that just wants to pray and it's just a
Jesus freak or something. But you know, I overcame the
fear of man and and fear just the people and

(04:02):
letting that boldness that came upon me, which the scripture
says that you know when the spirit comes and you
will receive power and you will be bold, like one
of the traits of the Holy spirits that it brings
out boldness to share the gospel, going to pray for
to do things that only it's an assignment. So that
day there was an assignment and God had a date

(04:24):
with this guy. And so I was able to overcome
fear by obeying the voice of the Lord and boldness.
And so if you're finding yourself you're feeling fearful of
like witnessing to somebody and God or God has given
you a word for someone and you ignored it because
you had the fear of man and you didn't want
to do it. I just want you to know that

(04:45):
God is going to give you everything that you need
for that moment. I didn't know that I was going
to drive and the Holy Spirit was going to just like,
you know, put this boldness in me to speak to
this person. So God will give you the boldness. He's
the one who's going to lead you. Just let him
do what.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
He wants to do.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
There.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Powerful, powerful, that's how good. I just think about when
you were like, it's not about the fear of men,
but it's about the fear of God. Listen, when God
is big in your life, you know people will be
in their right perspective, like they'll be small. God is
huge in comparison to a man, and that's powerful. But

(05:21):
for me, it was a big crowd of people similar
to you. You've probably had a lot of cars watching
you go on left of right, watching you go up
in minister to this homeless man, this little contique woman. Right.
But uh As, I was in front of this crowd
of teenagers and it was like a college ministry, one
of the biggest South Carolina college ministries or even high school.

(05:42):
It was a ton of folks. They're young adults. It
was my first time ever speaking at a conference in
the thing that I remember when I was on stage,
you know, it felt like we were I was appreciating
the birds. Week before, I was walking around preaching to everybody,
listening to oceans this word. But on this given day,

(06:02):
when I was coming up on this stage and all
these lights were coming down on me, I had a
flashback to the time when I was out in the
world being a hype man like I had a flashback
like I'm back in front of people, so I have
to impress these people. And that's when God pressed upon
me that it's not about me at all, and I

(06:24):
like sunk right there on that stage. I went silent.
I froze up, and there was nothing else I could
do in that moment, and I just stayed there. I
stayed quiet, and I asked for God's help because I
couldn't say even a word. I went over my script
a thousand times. When I was going to share about Christ,
it became about me. And I want to tell you, listen,

(06:50):
God will give you the words to say in that hour.
If he calls you to preach on the street, or
called you to preach on the stage. Wherever you are,
God is with you, and he's working and talking on
your behalf. So you don't have to show up as
though you're there on your own accord. But God sent
you there. He called you to these people for such

(07:10):
a time as this, and wherever it is, it could
be at working at Chick fil A. I don't know
if you work at Chick fil A or if you're
at a school that you're attending. No matter who you
put you in front off, He's going to speak through you.
So be bold, like my wife said, lay your.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Life, get out the way, get out the way.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Get out the way. And that's what we want to
encourage you guys in today. Share the gospel, proclaim it freely, boldly,
with wisdom, and unashamed of the gospel, for it is
the power of God onto salvation for all who choose
to believe. And then love y'all hey real quick in
the comments below right. One thing that has really challenged

(07:53):
you in sharing your faith? What is one thing that
gives you the biggest challenge in stepping out sharing your faith?

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Planny, guys, Love y'all, we'll

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Talk to the feet sank you for me yet
