Segments 1 and 2 – Review of Weekend Games

Additional Questions:
1.Five young kids that we might see soon. Your thoughts for picking up:
1)JJ Wetherholt (3B/2B/SS, STL) – The Cardinals have played him at third base seven times this month, and he’s been on and off second base this season.
2)Spencer Jones (OF, NYY) – He’s tied for the lead in home runs in the minor leagues with 32.
3)Jonah Tong (RHP, NYM) – Word coming out of New York is this might happen sooner rather than later.
4)Payton Tolle (LHP, Bos) – Pitching to a 3.04 ERA across High, Double and Triple-A. He has 133 Ks and 23 walks in 92.1 IP. His fastball topped out at 99 MPH in Friday’s start.
5)Robby Snelling (LHP, Mia) – Fastball is up to 97 MPH from the left side and is pitching to a 2.73 ERA across Double and Triple-A this season.

2.Nestor Cortes pitched a one-hitter against the Dodgers on Saturday. What? His fastball averaged 90.1 MPH (T 92). Old school baseball?. Really???

3.The Mariners released Dylan Moore, who started the season strong (.290, 7 HRs, 13 SB) through mid-May, then cooled off, lost his spot, and now he's cut. Is there anything here if he gets picked up by another MLB team?
a.Victor Robles gets reinstated after throwing his bat at a pitcher in a Triple-A game. He takes Moore’s spot on the roster. He was a sexy draft pick this season, but a shoulder injury has cost him most of the season, and then, of course, the issue in Triple-A.

4. I know Nick Kurtz has the ROY award practically wrapped up in the American League, but will Colson Montgomery receive some votes? In just 41 games, he’s hit 12 home runs with 34 RBIs. The 12 home runs are fourth in baseball among all rookies, and the 34 RBIs rank 12th. The 11 players ahead of him have all played twice as many games, with some nearly three times as many. BTW, he’s hitting .229 with 44 strikeouts in 41 games (28% K-Rate, 7% BB-Rate) with a poor chase rate.

5.What does going 4 for 15 in your first four professional games get you? An 8-year, $67 million contract. That’s what Samuel Basallo signed on Friday. It’s a deal similar to what Jackson Chourio signed before the start of the 2024 (8-year, $87 million or 30% more). A good deal of the Orioles? What about Basallo?
a.Now that he should be up for good (although Kristian Campbell might disagree), how do the Orioles use him?
b.Does he get enough at-bats at catcher to retain eligibility this season or at least get it in April of 2026?
c.Would the Orioles consider trading Adley Rutschman?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Greeted deciuations everyone at Rich Wilson walking the Fantasy Baseball
Live today as long as twenty fourth, about three twenty
in the afternoon, Tim and I were we're chit chatting
and tying that away from us. But Tim, we're back.
We're ready to go, ready to talk baseball, ready to
talk whatever the heck we want to talk about.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah, no, we just got We just sat down and
sold all the problems of the world in twenty minutes.
So hey, we can do that in twenty minutes.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
It's a good thing, right.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah, man, they should put us in charge.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
I agree wholeheartedly. Yes, definitely. How how you see it?

Speaker 1 (00:54):
How's your week? How's your week?

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Ben?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Ah, It's it's been hectic. Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
I didn't do a whole lot of work.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
But I'm heading off to Winnipeg tomorrow and then Wednesday
I'm helping out with Customer Appreciation Day and this week's gonna.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Be a week grill.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah, that's that's when I grill. But I I must
have said the right prayer because this year instead of
burgers and dogs are doing taco in a bag.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
What is taco in a bag?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
That's where you take like a bag of doritos all that.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Okay, got it?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yeah yeah, and you open me.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
But yeah, so I am I'm not going to be
standing over a hot grill olip Burgers.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
That's that's that's fun though, I'm sorry you're not gonna
be able to do that, but uh, taco bags, taco
bags it is.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah, so I'm I'm okay with I'm okay with that.
Then gives me an opportunity to get out and see
some of the community, and it's uh, I enjoy those events.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I really do.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
And I know you're you're probably surprised, being that I
am as shy and inhibited as I am, but it
plays well with me Rich, it really does.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
You're you're mister uh a social butterfly. That's who you are.
I'm I'm not. It's like I sometimes go to those
sayings kicking and screaming. I'm definitely an introvert. I can
play an extrovert if I need to, and I've done
it my whole life. But like, if you ask me
what a good day is, it's probably staring at my computer,

(02:36):
digging into something and trying to understand it. That's that's
how I like to spend my time.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
It's just I'm yeah, I'm pretty much the same way.
I can talk for a long time in small groups.
I hate a large forum. I do not feel comfortable
speaking in front of large groups. But one on one
smaller groups, Yeah, I'm cool with that.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Yeah. Yeah, We've got Lourie and I are doing a
uh we're sponsoring a nonprofit uh for for an outing
event for a nonprofit. So we have to do speeches
and all kinds of stuff. That's when we get back
from France. So and that that's been I mean, Laurie
got to sign up for this, and I totally bought into.

(03:19):
I said, this sounds great. Do we have to do
any work? No, no work at all. Laurie's literally a
dozen hours a week on calls and getting the yeah
catererists lined up and music and stuff lamming.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
It's like, oh my word, yeah, yeah, no, there's always work. Well,
that's one thing I learned a long time ago with
my involvement in minor hockey and everything else. So many
of these community programs, whatever they're they're they're done on
the backs of volunteers, and it always seems like there's

(03:53):
a very small and very very dedicated group of volunteers
involved in all of these projects. And what what I'm
starting to see is some of the volunteers, long term
volunteers in our community, they're getting older and they can't
do it. And the backfill isn't they're rich, you know
what I mean, people aren't stepping stepping up. So it's

(04:16):
it's really creating some of the problems in some of
the community programs that you know, are being attempted to run.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
So it's a bit of a challenge.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Hey, everybody out there, if you get out there and
help out and volunteer in any community sort of you
know type projects, there are people out there who really
appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Yeah, I totally agree with that. This event we're putting
on is a little unique and that so Laurie and
I remember of a social club and it's in town.
It's it's a two hundred year historic house and that's
the home they have and they have a pull out
in the back and so it's it's a really nice
it's a very very nice little club. And they had

(04:55):
a a raffle or you know, we had a I
guess a fundraiser. One of the fundraiser things was a
use of the mansion. That's what they call it, the
house that we have. It's a mansion for an event.
So Laurie and I won that and we're like, well,
this is cool. We'll donate it to this this nonprofit

(05:16):
that we support and that'll be it. You know, you
guys put it on to a fundraiser there and we'll
just come right. And it turned out.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Bring bring us the keys at the end of the day.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
So no. So so that turned out to we have
to fund everything, which is the food and everything. But
the thing that got me is we had to fill
out all kinds of paperwork coming from the kell A Club.
This is a social group we have. We had to
provide the insurance. And Laurie's like, what do you mean
insurance and they go, well, you have to have event insurance.

(05:49):
So we called up our insurance guy and he says, oh,
that's that's that's not so bad. It's only five hundred
dollars for the night. I'm like, five hundred dollars for the.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Night's for what can we work?

Speaker 1 (06:07):
So we had to get freaking event insurance for the
three hour event. I mean, so if anybody falls and
hurts themselves, they're covered.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
I'm like, yes, so you don't get exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I'm like, oh my gosh, that's the kind of thing
that it's been. It's been one thing after the other,
and it's just a costerus mounting up and Laura shodn't
the budget The other day, I'm like, oh my god,
tucking it away.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, instead of France this year, we're going to.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Baltimore.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah, probably give me my trip to the Fall League
is not going to happen. That's probably what that means.
It's insurance anyway, enough of that nots it's me. There's
a lot of baseball games going on. Yeah, I'm just
gonna read I think I've read this on the air.
Wants to read it again? Uh Basos. Breakdown of seth

(07:04):
Lugo May twenty seventh to our Patreon members. Summary warning
Will Robinson. Seth Lugo was great last season, continues to
form well this year. Three or two ear a warning
he is going to correct. He's a junk baller with
ten different pitches, none of them are above average. His
fastball and cutter being hit hard. How is he managing it?

(07:24):
I have no idea. Tim Hell, Yep, it has happened.
He's his ERA is now up to nearly four, so
he's added a run on his ERA. Three ninety nine
is where he ends the day, another stinker, outing at
four and a third inning six earned runs.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yes, uh, and I took your I took your advice
on that.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Rich.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
I've been sitting Seth Lugo and in labor. Okay, hey,
that is a good news today. The bad news is
I had Jack Flaherty going.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Oh yeah, Jack Ardy hasn't been very good either.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
No is he Ara's I'm in close to five. It's
up to four eighty seven. So you know, the only
the only consolation personally I can take in this situation
is I didn't have both of them going, just one
of the two they could have been.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
It could have been uglier. Paul Skeans had himself.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
At So that was probably the trade. You You won
that trade because you didn't make the trade. Remember you
were contemplating in a Dynasty League trading Paul Skeins, and
we talked about it, and I'm like, I know flags
fly forever, but I don't know. I think I forgot
it was somebody other picture you were going to trade
for to replace them, And we made a like gentlemen's

(08:40):
bet that he would get more wins, that Paul Skans
would get more wins even playing for the Pittsburgh Parts.
I think he's had three or four wins since we
had that conversation.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
No, I I took a look at it, and the
odds were just too long of me making it work.
So I backed away from that deal. And I'm very thankful.
I did you know, it's hey, it would have been.
It would have been nice to ramp it up and
give it a go. But I'm I'm also a realist. Okay,
I'll spin the numbers. I'll take a look at them,

(09:12):
and I'm very when I'm looking at projecting forward, I'm very,
very very conservative. And how I do it, you know
what I mean. I I take a look and if anything,
I'm on the light side a little bit. And uh no,
it just didn't It was if I recall it.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Zach Needochkins. But you were going to get another picture back.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
I was going to get a I was going to
get a couple of pictures back, and one of the
ones I was looking at getting back was Josh.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Yes, I remember that that would have Yeah, but there
was another starter that you're going to get another star. Tyler.
That's who it was, Tyler Glasnow, and we made a
gentleman's bet if we can remember when that trade went down.
I thought that ty I made the comment that Paul

(10:01):
Skins would win more games and Tyler Klass though, And
that's what you're looking for with the wins.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, you know what, that would have been the easiest
staking if you ever won. Because looking at looking at
Glasnow right now, in his past three starts, four starts,
they've been okay, but he's only gone what seven, He's

(10:28):
only seven innings five and two thirds five for he
hasn't won a game since March thirty first. Can you
believe that since March thirty first?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Yeah, I'm just looking looking at it now. Yeah, he's
won He's won one game this year. Oh so, sometimes.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
The best decisions you make is the ones you don't make.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Well done, make you Yes, I'm going to finish third
or fourth, but I'm going to have a rotation next
year anchored skeins Yamamoto, Abbott Gilbert and Shane Bieber with
mcgora is an option. So I'm gonna have a good
team again next year. And like I said, I'm gonna

(11:15):
finish thirty or fourth, and so be it. Maybe next
year will be the year where I where I can
ram things up. But it wasn't in the cards this year.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Well that's sometimes that, Okay. I want you to give
me how I should think about at the draft table
next year. One mister Trevor Rogers, who again, patron members
will know that I told everybody to go bit hard
on him when he was still in the minor leagues
as I saw and heard about some corrections he had made.

(11:46):
He's got a one forty ear a wins, is gonna
win again. Well, he's on pace to win again. It's
only two to one. But he's been money, tim absolute money.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, he has basically a strikeout brainning. He's not walking
anybody's sixteen and seventy six and a third. Yeah, great,
great call here. You know it's nice if you look back, Okay,
going back as far we'll go back as far as
June eighteenth. That's pretty well. When he got called up.

(12:18):
You look at the walks three two two two one
zero two zero one. He's not walking anybody he's going is.
He hasn't pitched a game under six innings since June thirtieth.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yeah, that is.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Correct, So so just I guess because again you can
go to fan Grass everybody highlight the road that you
want to go, click on the other road that you
wanted to It summarizes everything for you. It's a brilliant
piece of work by fangraphs. Sixty two strikeouts since the
eighteenth of June when he got called back up, and
in sixteen walks, so it's uh five to one strikeout

(13:00):
the walk ratio and a one fifty four ear a.
That's what he's done. Tim.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Yeah, I'm gonna have to think long and hard as
far as what I'm gonna do with Hey, the numbers
are there.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
I'm just I'm just curious to take a look.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
At you know, the basic data is there too.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Yeah, he's a free agent and seven he's only got
one more year in Baltimore, that.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Is right, So he's gonna want just try to stay healthy.
And I thought he was actually a free agent at
the end of this season, but not true. Obeus. He'll
be a free agent in the next season if he
has anything like he's doing. This is kind of Garrett
Crochet esque what he kind of did off and on
that wasn't sure what she had and then just blew up.

(13:50):
And you know, I think the rest is history with
Garrett Crochet.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah, and a lot of Crochet's issues, you know, revolved
around health and Rogers has been the same to some extent.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
It's right mistake and.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
So yeah, it'll be very very interesting to see. Yeah, hey,
you can't ignore what he's done, but can you put
a full emphasis on what he's done?

Speaker 1 (14:13):
I mean, at what point do I mean? It's it's
been that good and the data supports how good he's been.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
He's a top twenty starter next year, I would say, yeah,
I know off the top of my head. And uh man,
that's well. Again, the game is constantly changing. We see
players coming and going. If it looks like what he
is doing is sustainable, how do you downgrade it?

Speaker 3 (14:44):
You know what I mean? And how high do you
upgrade it? You know? It's it's fascinating.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
He's not a one he's not a one forty guy
because this expected erase three or six. But I mean,
if you tell me next season he pitches to a
three e Arra or two seventy five Arra with a
bunch of wins because he's going deep with a strikeout
at any What surprised me.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Well in Baltimore will give him offensive support. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
What what I didn't realize was the current state of
the union as far as Felix Fatiste is concerned for
a year. That is, that's that's ugly, and that's looks
like they're redoing the whole shoulder that you know, yep, yeah,

(15:33):
the torn labor and the torn rotator cuff in his
right shoulder.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
There's a chance he's never the same. To me, there's
a real good chance it's never the same.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
I would say a very very good chance.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
If I had Felix Batiste in a league where there
were you know, in a dynasty or a keeper type format,
where there were where there was a limited number.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Of eye l spots, I would probably be saying goodbye Felix.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Yeah. I know, it's tough. He's gonna miss most off
not all of next season, and you just don't know.
He's already had Tommy John surgery two years ago and
now this it's just real unfortunate. You know, shit happens.
That's I guess that's just all you can say.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
But you know what, while all this shit is happening.
The Baltimore Orioles are gonna have potentially as good of
an offense in the Al East as you can possibly have,
and they're gonna have a bullpen anchored by Keegan Aiken
and Jenior Cano and a rotation anchored by Trevor Rodgers and.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Kyle brad I'm going to disagree with the big shot.
I'm going to suggest, yeah, that the bullpen is a problem.
But I mean, if there's one thing that you can
trade for, that's that's bullpen. I mean, we saw that
at the deadline. So assuming Trevor Rodgers comes back and
is eighty percent of what he is today, that's that's
your ace. You finally got it. Kyle Bradish is coming back,

(17:04):
I believe this week, pitching on Tuesdays. If I remember correctly,
that's the number two three starter Grace and Rodriguez has
the stuff. Is he gonna be healthy? Don't know. So,
I mean you've got the makings of some reasonable guys
that are there. I mean, teen Kramer and all these
other guys, they're fodder, they're back of the rotation guys.

(17:26):
If they can get those three guys pitching this season,
and then add another one. I think Orioles could actually
finally do something, but they, if they were smart, they
would sit down just like they was Samuel Beside and say,
mister Rogers, here's a bucket of money. Stay.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Yeah, that's at some point in time, they have to
get one or two more starters. And I'm not talking hey,
Dean Kremer. They've got to get themselves some twos and
threes they really do or else all of these young
players before you know it, Jackson Holiday, Yeah, I think

(18:05):
Gunners on a long term dude, besides.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Gunner Hunters, he's a Boris client.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Oh okay, I wasn't sure about Gunner.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Okay, hey, once Gunner decides to move on, you know, hey,
it doesn't take very long.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
And the window that was open is closed.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
So they if they don't do something this offseason, it's
it's a problem. It really is a serious and a
shame to watch all these you know, talented kids, you
know potentially going to their total full fruition on another
in another organization, because it will happen soon.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
The guy that you hate that I love Ranger Suarez
seven and it's pitch three, hit snow and runs eleven
strikeouts in zero Timmy count it zero walks ere a
three oh seven.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Keep believing you don't like Ranger Suarez. I, well, he's
had he's had a bit of a rough run lately.
But they're gonna need rangers for is because they aren't
going to be having anything happening with Zach Wheeler. He's
looking at thoracic out surgery.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
You know, it's funny you say that. That's what I
wanted to say two weeks ago when this first came out,
because when I heard about the blood clot, that's usually
the solution for that is they take out the rib
and uh. I didn't do the research to make sure
it was exactly what that was. But that's a real
bummer because the the recovery of that and is not good.

(19:37):
I mean, the success rate of that is very low,
particularly for pictures.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Well, and you're looking into six to eight months recovery. Okay, Well,
that means we're not going to see him until what June?

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yeah, and you said, is it next year is last
year to pitch? Isn't he gonna retire?

Speaker 3 (19:56):
I believe?

Speaker 2 (19:57):
So?

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Yeah, Wow, that's just that's that.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
That's that and it's devastating if you have him in
a if he's anchoring your dinasty league, Tam, I've got
him in one, and that's it's just not good.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Mm hm, No, it's not so. Hey, it's a good
thing that I think that Philly can score some runs.
But again, it doesn't hurt Andrew Pager's chances moving forward
at all, does it.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
But he's got a pitch better, Yeah, he does. And
they also have uh, they also have able well Nope.
So there is somebody I'm gonna when we get to
let Tim think about it. From Hi'm gonna take a break.
We'll it's gonna give you until we get to your
waivewar Timmy to think about it. There is somebody on

(20:48):
your waiver wire that has had thorastic outlet syndrome surgery
and has played pretty well since he has. You get
to try to figure out who that is, and I'll
give you a hint. It's a positional player. So let's
take a break and Tim will be feverishly typing those
into the Google machine to find out who pops up

(21:10):
the TOS surgery. Sorry, mister McLeod, break, I've got a
bunch of questions for you that have come up over
the weekend, and my little brain here just wanting your
thoughts on it. Uh, We've seen, as you know, a

(21:34):
plethora of kids coming up over the last couple of weeks.
It's a ten cent word, plethora. You can look that
up to it.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
Yeah, I like that word.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Okay, I got five other guys that may be ups.
There's other ones, but these are just the ones off
the top of my head. JJ Weatherholt third basement, second
basement short stuff with the Saint Louis Cardinals, a top
ten prospect now in the game. I think here the transition.
He's not gonna play shortstop, or at least full time shortstop.

(22:04):
He's been playing a lot of third base. In the
month of August, he's played a little bit of second base.
But that's an easy transition. When does JJ Weatherholt come up?
Or does he come up?

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Ah? That is that is really tough. I think we'll
see him the first week of September. Okay. I think
they'll want to get him up. And one of the
easy ways they might get him up is by putting
Mason win on the il.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
He's been dealing with knee issues for a while.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Okay, so yeah, I think that might be the course
that they take. You know, Thomas Sagaci's right now, he's
at second, Okay, Nolan Gorman's.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
At third, ding ding ding ding ding ding. I think
that's where he plays is unless I didn't know when
was dealing with a knee problem, but that's obviously.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
He has been for a long time.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yeah, well maybe that's I mean the maybe they still
think they're in it, because the Cardinals always think they're
in it, But that seems to I mean, I would
play the Gacy as much as you can, just to
see if he can do it. I mean, I think
this guy has a chance to be a full time regular,
but you give him a shot. But but JJ Weatherhold
is the future there and I would think a side

(23:25):
of the diamond with weather Hold and and Win would
be pretty spectacular.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Yeah, I agree, I think we are going to see him,
But again, it all depends on what the Cardinals are.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
They can be tough to figure out, they really can't.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
And I think so, Yeah, he's definitely earned the promotion
and they should get some experience, get some experience under
his belt for next year. Totally get dismissed sort in
the offseason, like do something, you know, get it together,
Saint Louis.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
It's I think it's the right thing to do. You
get five weeks of them, you know, you get to
get him some exposure. It's one of the best young
players in the game. Everybody else is doing it. Get
with the program. Cardinals. Spencer Jones, he is leading the
minor leagues timmy and home runs with thirty two. He's
been hitting a home run a day as since he's

(24:21):
been promoted the Triple A, still striking out a lot,
not as much as he had been. Do the Yankees
promote Spencer Jones?

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Well, where do they promote him to? Is a question?

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Okay, how about the DFA the guy in right field,
Carlos Stanton.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Yeah, I mean Domingus takes Stanton spot.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
Well, Jones they think would take Stanton spot.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Okay, so you're just gonna sit dimingus.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
I'm gonna I'm gonna tell gen Carlo this is gonna happen.
It's what am I saying. I mean, Jane, Carlos Stanton,
and they gotta do something with that. That's just untenable
at the moment.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Well, I wouldn't be at all shocked if Aaron Boone's
looking for another draw. If Boston wins today and sweeps
the Yankees in New York, I think Aaron Boone could
be on the unemployment line.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
I watched the game with Jane Carlo Stanton in and
right field. The Red Sox were just running on him, Tim.
I mean, it wasn't like there's a problem with his arm.
He can't get to the ball. I mean it's embarrassing.
He has no I mean no mobility. It's it's absolutely
awful out there. And if I'm a Yankees fan, I'm

(25:45):
furious that the Yankees have gotten themselves in a situation
like this where they have a guy that can only
play DH. And when your best player gets hurt and
needs to have a stent on playing d H, you're screwed.
And that's just unacceptable if I'm a Yankees fan.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Yeah, you know, if I know, Dimingus has his limitations
as well, but Dimingus can play in the outfield, Okay, yeah,
so get him in.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
There for Stanton.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Have Stanton riding the pine rather than hitting every day
it and you know, the relief picture thing really hasn't
worked out the way they the way they counted on it.
It's yeah, they're if they lose to the Red Sox today,
they're put they're getting themselves into a pretty solid hole.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
The one. There are some positive some pause there. Ben
Rice is having.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
A very very great season.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Yeah, Austin Wells is you know again.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Okay, that's fine.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
They put the disc in dysfunction and you know you
got gold gold schmid Smid on the bench. Cavallero can run,
he can score your runs. If you you know, get
the first here, we'll run all all the way around.
A Mingus is on the bench. It's just not a yeah,
it's I said I. I wouldn't be surprised if Aaron

(27:10):
Moon loses his job, if they get swept.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Well, they got a good shot tonight because they got
rodin pitchings. They got their best picture out and it's
going against Dustin May who it's not the same guy
he was a few years ago before all the injuries hit. So,
I mean, this should be a game they can win.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
But where do you put Jones? It would be my question.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
That's a fair point. I'm looking at it.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
Now.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
They've got Stanton again starting to right field tonight. Bellinger
arguably your third best player on the on the team,
second best player on the team. He's going to play
to me, as you say, it's not even playing. And
centerfield has been Grisham, who deserves to be out. There's
a great defender, he's had a great season.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Who do they put in the leadoffs spart if they
don't have Grisham?

Speaker 1 (27:54):
I guess Rice, all right, vote can't keep it on base.
You can't hit, you can't hit them. Yeah, he both
sitting night he's Cavalario's in there, or well, Cavallero he's yeah, okay, yeah, no, it's.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
It's tough. So you gotta go with Grisham in center field, right,
and you've got Bellinger. Okay, So basically Domingus continues, would
have to continue to sit, Stanton would have to sit.
It's not gonna so that so that Jones can get
playing time, it's until Aaron Aaron Judge can get back

(28:36):
in the old field. Your DH slod is is locked in.
They gotta have Aaron Judge in that lineup.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Let's think about this long term. So uh Judge, Let's
Judge should be okay next year. So he he moves
back to right field, and Stanton goes back to uh
the d H. So if they don't resign Bellinger, then
it looks like Specer Jones my have a shot. But
if they do resign Bellinger, which they probably will overpay

(29:04):
him because he's a bar's client and so he'll probably
be their next season. And then you're back to who's
going to play centerfield? Smecher Jones can't play centerfield and
Aaron Judges is going to play center field? And then
what happens to Jason Dimingas. Did they move on from him?

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Well, he's twenty two years old.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Yeah, you don't want to do that. Now. He can't
hit left us that's a that's a problem.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
But can he play center field?

Speaker 1 (29:27):
I think he can, but not the way Grisha can play.
You can play center field better than Judge can.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
Yeah, yeah, I guess. Yeah. So again this lineup is
it's a mess.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
If they resigned Bellinger, boy, it's going to make tough
next season for both Dimingas just looking at the looking
at the names and the contracts for Dimingas and Spencer Jones,
that's tough.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Yeah, yeah, it will be because Whatton Stanton is what
another forty fifty million on two years? I think I
believe it's too He's got a lot.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Yeah, Rice has put himself into full time first baseman.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
And he's catching, catching.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Till a little bit and Gold that's probably not going
to be resigned, so that's good, and McMahon signed for
another few years. He's a great defender at third. I
still think he can hit, but it hit for home
run power. There's no other spot for either Dominguez or
or Jones to play in. That's a problem. Glad we
had this discussion.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Mm hmm, yeah, it it is. It's it's going to
be a challenge. I don't know the easiest. The easiest
solution would be just a DFA stand and eat the money.
But are they going to do that. That's a lot
of money, a lot of money for the even for
the New York Yankees.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
I would think they try to trade him, and you
try to get somebody to pay a third of a
salary and they eat two thirds or something like that.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
I don't know the Rockies use him.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
I don't know who would take stanton because it's, you
know what, they're going to have the same conversation we're
having when all of a sudden, you know you've taken
up your DH slot with a guy who gets hurt
a lot that can be good, but isn't consistently good.
He's not show Hey Otani, and then you're gonna be
trying to juggle it around and it just doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
No, locking up your your DH slot does cause certain
problems when you don't have that flexibility to you utilize
it in other fashion. The Dodgers are to something. You know,
show Yotani is all world. Okay, the numbers he's posting
makes you want to forget about that, but he still

(31:46):
locks up that da I'd love to see Otani back
in the oatfield, put him in right field.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Yep. You know, look, I'm not going to that's a
that's a problem that you just have to say. Look,
that's just the way it is. Shot is that good.
David Ortiz was that good back in the day for
the Red Sox. It'ss like, Okay, yeah, we sucked down
our DH slot, but we've got one of the best
players in baseball playing it. But these other guys were Suna,

(32:12):
who's locking down the DH slot for the Braves when
he's having an offseason, makes it tough.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Makes it very tough.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Yeah, it takes all the flexibility that you could potentially
have in your lineup, and voil, it's gone.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
Three pitchers. Jonahtong, who shoved it again last night. There's
word now coming out of New York that he might
join the Mets sooner rather than later. Look, I don't
know what this guy's got. Else's guy's got left to prove.
He's leading the minor leagues and strikeouts and nobody can
hit him. Yeah, he doesn't have a slider or curveball
that that tails away from glove that armside batters, But

(32:51):
in this case right handed batters, it doesn't matter. I mean, he's.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Nobody's had.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
I was gonna say, at some point in time, just say, okay,
he's got two bitches. We'll go with it and see
exactly what shakes down, you know, if like, hey, he's
only got two bitches in the minors and I don't know,
I can't remember the last time he allowed like four runs.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Yeah, it did it all.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Now he's starting to throw a few more, he's starting
to throw a few more strikes, and yeah, it's look,
you know they said it on the Futures game. I
missed it in terms of the delivery. Was ten lens
acum Uh, it's ten Lenscomb. I've seen a guy pitch
now life twice. He's a little guy. He throws really
with all out effort. It's a huge strike coming to
a plate to the plate. But just like Tim Lencacom,

(33:45):
guys weren't able to pick that up. Now, Tim Linscomb
had a huge peak, but it was a very short career,
and I could see that with Jon o'tong as well.
But and if that's if you believe in that philosophy,
then you just might as well bring him up because
he's not gonna last long because he just as a
little dude.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Yeah, I was gonna say, if you, if you look
at history, your your smaller starting pitcher does not like
you said, Hey, they can get to a quick peak,
but they get back down to that valley in a
hurry too. And every pitch he throws in the minors
is not one you add on at the end of
his career.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
That's rights. Look and the Mets, I'm telling you people
dismiss the Mets. That's a really good organization that has
done a great job at developing positional players pitchers, and
we're seeing it with Noel McClain, who's been absolutely phenomenal,
and you got to give them kudos. I mean, they're
a smart organization. If we can go to ten lenscom.

(34:44):
This is his career. Came up when he was twenty
three years old, so just about the same age as
as Jonah Toong would come up four year a kind
of his rookie season, and then he had three seasons
of two sixty two, two forty eight, three forty three,
and then another season of two seventy four year a

(35:04):
up until his age twenty seven, and then the wheels
came off to him. He was hurt a lot, and
he just ran out of gas and then it was
a four.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Strike were in the strike strikeout numbers in those early years,
I bet you there were two fifty plus every year?

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Uh see? So uh do they have total strike ats?
Let's see, uh two sixty five, two sixty one, two
thirty one, two twenty okay, and then it went down
and then it started to wobble one ninety one, ninety
three and then he just ran out of gas. When
he turned twenty nine years old. He was hurt and
he was out of baseball. Two years later. Yeah, he

(35:41):
was out of baseball at age.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Thirty. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Yeah, so he had an eleven year career. Was a
great career. I made a lot of money for the day,
but it was early peak, and I think that could
be where we see Jonah Thong.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
So yeah, get him, get him up and use him
for the playoff, you know, like for the playoff push.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Yeah, David Peterson has pitched extremely well.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Uh Senga has been okay, but Sean and I I
don't believe has been overwhelming.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
So yeah, there's a spot there for him.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
It's a good arm. And yeah, maybe he comes in
and pitches together with Manaia because Manaia hasn't been pitching
deep in the games and go with the n eye
to start. Let him pitch for innings and let uh
Gena Tong come in and pitch the next four could
be a role for him. I think he's coming up.
I mean, if I that, it makes no sense, it

(36:43):
just makes no sense.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
I did a podcast with a good friend of mine,
Ariel Kohn a while back, and his his partner on
the show is a big Mets fan. So I bet
I'm a buck that Tong would be up before Sproute.
So I'm I'm routing for it. I'm rooting for it.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Here's another guy maybe people haven't heard of. This is
Peyton Tole t l l E lefting a pitcher with Boston.
Get this everyone. It's pitching to a three four era.
He started off in High A. He's now in Triple A.
Shoved at his last outing on Friday night, one hundred
and thirty three strikeouts, twenty three walks and third innings.
Guess what fastball topping out at ninety nine. That's a

(37:23):
nine followed by a nine. This is a dude. This
is you know, arguably one or two best prospects in
the Boston Red Sox organization. You can put Franklin a
rise ahead of him maybe, but Toll has been very,
very very good. I think we see him as well
because the Red Sox are ut a ten.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Yeah, they definitely are. But they're looking at this week.
They're debating whether they want to start on Monday. Kyle
Harrison okay, or Richard Fits to be tied. One of
those two looks like they're going to get to start
on Monday. At least, that's everything I'm reading.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
Well, won't be excuse me, Peyton Toll will not be
ready to pitch on Monday. So I would love to
see Kyle Harrison. I've been watching him very carefully since
he got traded. H I suggested that that the Red
Sox needed to add a cutter too, is that repertoire?

(38:23):
And they did and apparently, from what I can tell
looking at the data, it's starting to become effective. I
still believe in Kyle Harrison.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Well, he's still he's only twenty four years of age.
It's not like he's been your citizen. And if they
if they get that cutter working, yeah, it's because, let's
face it, when you look at Boston, you get Garrett
Cruschet and you got Blow and after that you got
Giorlito and May so there is definitely room for one,

(38:54):
if not two.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
I started to be added to that too.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
That's skin the smart organization. They know what they got there.
He's still pretty light on the inning so far this season.
Why not give him a shot and we'll see. The
last guy is Robbie Snelling. He was on your waive
war a couple of weeks ago. Again Fastball the ninety seven.
He's been great from the left side at two seventy
three ear eight this season in Dublin Triple A former

(39:21):
Philadelphia excuse me, former San Diego Padres kid. I loved
Robbie Snelling too.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago because I thought
he'd be up and again again. I still think he
will be Yeah, and looking forward to his seeing his debut.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
A couple more questions for you, then we'll get onto
your waiver One. Nester Cortez, explain this one to me.
Tim against the Dodgers. This isn't the Colorado Rockies fastball
average ninety miles an hour. He pitched six innings of
one hit ball. How did he do it?

Speaker 2 (39:57):
I have no He lulled them to sleep with his
still livery. You know, you know how long can a
versus stand on one leg? Asked Nester court Ship Peter.
He'll give you the answer to that one. Uh yeah,
I and his next outing he could love six earned runs.
I don't trust Nestor at all. Congratulations he had a

(40:21):
great start, but I've if.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
I applaud you for not putting him on your waiver wire.
I'll give you that because the Yeah, in most places
he would have gone on the waiver wire, but it
is Nestor Cortes.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Well, yeah, let's take a look at his season era.
It's four sixty six with a one thirty four whip. Yeah,
he's walked with fifteen and twenty nine innings this year. That,
my friend, is not a recipe for success. Congratulations. I
don't know how he did with the Dodgers, but I
don't know what his next outing is, but I probably

(40:58):
wouldn't have him going.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
The Dodgers of his The Dodgers have historically struggled against
left handed pitching, so that's always the one thing that
seems to slow him down. It's a heavy rate, but yeah,
that's all I could think of.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
One more question San Francisco. The game before the Dodger
or Gem, he allowed three home runs. Yeah, I know,
yeah the Giants, Yeah, okay, yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:26):
We've got a lot of moxie. Man, I guess he
just made it through. The Other thing is this this
this Coulson Montgomery thing. And as you know, I've not
been the biggest fan of Colson Montgomery. Did think he'd
have some power. I thought he'd strike out too much.
But and I know in the American League, Nick Kurtz,
as we've been saying now for months, is got it
locked up, not months weeks that he's had the Rookie

(41:48):
of the Year locked up, and nothing's going to change
if he doesn't play another this season. He's locked up, right.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
Yeah, there, other than a suspension for something stupid. Nick
Kertz has got the Rookie of the Year award. It's
you know, it's.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Gonna be an animous. It's it's unanimous.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
But Coleson Montgomery Timmy in forty one games entering today's contest,
he's got twelve home runs with thirty four RBIs. The
twelve home runs are fourth and baseball among rookies not
rookie qualified, I mean all rookies, and thirty four RBIs
just ranked twelve, And I looked at when you sorted
them that twelfth and thirty four RBIs. The other eleven

(42:30):
guys on top of him have played at a minimum
twice as many games as he has, and some have
got close to three times as many. He's been absolutely phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Yes, he has ask me how many teams he'll be
on my next year, Rich.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
I'm gonna say every one of them close, but none
was the right answer. Yeah, same with James.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Yeah, hey man, he'll be cruising in at somewhere between
a hundred and sixty five and one hundred and ninety
strike outs. Next year, he's gonna have to hit an
awful lot of home runs to make up for that
two fifteen batting average.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
Yeah, he's never hit everyone, he has never hit. That's
why I've never been big on him. Yeah, there's power.
It's more power than I thought there'd be. But I
think major league pitchers are going to figure out how
to throw to them. And it's probably I haven't looked
at the date. I'm assuming he can't hit a slider.
They're just go a stop throwing fastballs to him and say, okay,
big shot hit hit this.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
Well, yeah, I'm with the chimp four chase rate. You
combine everything, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll let somebody else
overpay for Coleson Montgomery. His great start this year, and hey,
kudos to him. He's off to a great start. But
I don't believe. I'm with you. I just don't believe

(43:57):
it's going to be sustainable.

Speaker 1 (43:58):
He will pick, he will get he will get Rookie
of the Year votes, and he should. He's been that good.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
Yeah he should.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
Yeah, I totally agree, But he's he's not going to
take it away from your Kurt, so I ain't gonna have.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
No uh, just looking at he's actually hitting everything. He's
he's got a slug of four to twenty one against
four seamers. I lie, his slug against sliders is seven fourteen.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
So fairly good number, it would be, Mike.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Maybe they need to pound that. Maybe his bat speed's
a little slow. So uh, they don't have enough data
for like the swingleingth or anything like that to figure
out what it is. But man, I mean his maximum
exs of velocity is one fourteen point five is average
exvoss he's only eighty seven nine, But it's just so
hard to say because the data is so small at
this juncture. But man, he's been great. I don't think

(44:50):
it'll last.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
I don't either.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
To mean, let's take a let's take a break, come
back and do your waiver war, shall we yes?

Speaker 3 (44:57):
Sounds like a plan.

Speaker 1 (45:12):
Then we are back. I had to take a quick
potty break. So everything is good, tim we're recording. Everything's
lighting up, so we're all good. Thank you for your
indulgence to me is I had a run to the
men's room.

Speaker 2 (45:25):
Well, as I mentioned, before you left. We have a
new cath this podcast. I made a decision, Rich, Yeah,
if we need a break, we need a break.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
It's just I needed a break. I was I was
sitting up for too long. So let's let's get to
your waiver wire, which is everybody everybody wants to tune into. Uh,
tell me how it was putting it together. You're happy
with the list? Was it hard to come up with
the names, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Yeah, well we're getting to the stage now where yeah,
it's it's a challenge.

Speaker 3 (46:01):
Okay, Yeah, it's fine.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
You can you can include some of the some of
the kids, and we've we've you know, I've included a
lot of them in the past two three weeks. But
when you start looking at every day to type players
and you're speculating, Uh, there's a couple here that I'm
gonna I'm regretting right now mentioning to some extent. But

(46:23):
we'll go through that as we go. It was tough
this week, but I think I did find some interesting names.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
So, hey, there are a lot of young names here.
That's what I like. You know, let's give these give
these kids a look, see, and the least we can
talk about them, and you know, it's always fun to do.
And the first guy is Mick abel Uh. You said
he didn't have a Kodak moment when he started, was it? Uh?
But did he start his first game with the Twins Saturday?

Speaker 2 (46:49):
Yeah? I think he went three innings. Yeah, it wasn't
It wasn't good. But we've seen success in Philly. We've
seen something some of the minors. Uh, I'm going with
a bitten stasher on mickabe.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
A bid in stash. Let's see you say that game
was the Twins are so bad? Yeah? They they lost
the White Sox.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
Yes, yeah, Well when we go two names further down,
we can uh, unless you want to do tags Bradley
right now.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
Yeah, I'm still looking for I'm still looking for the
twin when he started, so it wasn't frightened. Oh oh,
there is Mick Gabels there he is. Yeah. Three three
inning and six earned runs, two strikeouts. We got two strikeouts? Timah?

Speaker 3 (47:38):
Yeah? Huge?

Speaker 1 (47:41):
Which team is? Which team is worse the Chicago White
Sox are the Minnesota Twins, the Twins? I think so too.
I think so too. Yeah, the White Sox will lose
more games this season, but that's from from the trade
deadline to now. I think it's been the twins.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
I gotta ask you for a favor too, if I'm
a sure, can you do a breakdown on Lent and
Sosa of the White Sox for me?

Speaker 1 (48:17):
Uh? Yes, do it now.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
I appreciate.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
Okay, I will.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
I was gonna say, yeah sometime in the next week. Yeah,
I'm just curious what you what you think of Lennon Sosa?

Speaker 1 (48:31):
Okay, I will do. That's Nick Abele So you don't
feel good about that name at the moment?

Speaker 2 (48:38):
Uh No, I I've hey, if you're looking for starting
pitching and he's going to pitch out the balance, uh
I would keep him on my bench, pending, pending who
is starting and the next game's results. But it's hard
to finding starting pitching right now, it really is. I
mentioned both him and tas Bradley and Bradley got hammer today.

Speaker 1 (49:01):
Okay, the next guy is Maximo Acosta. Maximo Acosta's next
one of the best. Hope he goes by Maximo and
doesn't switch it to max because Maximo is a cool name,
and Timmy he is the one that had to that
had thoracic outlet syndrome surgery. I know you probably would
not know that was very obscure, but Maximo Acosta came through.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
Ever really guess yeah. Two, He's only got two hits
so far, but both of them left the park. Ago
Lopez is bag. I'm just hoping they give a Costa
a good look see over the next four to five
weeks and he gets steady playing time. I don't know
if you'll get steady, but four or five games a week.
I just think Mia would be in Miami's best interest

(49:47):
to see what this kid can deliver, and so far
we know he can hit it along fair ways when
he does connect.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
Maximo a Costa is also part of that twenty nineteen
international class that got annihilated by COVID. That was back
in the day. That's back in the day when the
international pickups were always July second, so teams would sign
players July second. Most of them would never play in

(50:15):
that season of the Dominican Summer League. They would play
the next season. So they didn't play their first organized
baseball until twenty twenty one. And many of those kids,
I mean, by then, there was another draft, there was
another signing period, and so many of those guys just
washed out and it was in so you like to

(50:36):
hear it whenever Demingez was one of those guys, Jason Diminga,
so he made it then, but so few guys have
made it, so it's really encouraging. Whenever a guy comes up,
I'd like to highlight them. And Acosta is one of
those guys.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
No, they rolled two years basically into one, okay, and yeah,
people got lost. They didn't get the tutoring they needed,
they didn't get the time.

Speaker 3 (50:59):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
It was a mess. It's just really really unfortunate, and
it's you know, I hope someday somebody writes a book
about it or something to give these guys at least
their credit that it was external circumstances that really screwed
them over and so many of them will not have
careers because of it. The number three guy here is
Taj Bradley. Tim, you didn't like his outing today.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Or well, he went five innings but a lot of
seven earned runs, struck out one only one walk, which
was a good sign, But no, he didn't have a
good outing. I was very in my assessment of Bradley.
It was basically, yeah, yeah, he's allowed four home runs
and only fourteen innings at Saint Paul. The good news

(51:45):
was eighteen strikeouts and only two walks. One can cherry
pick stats one's liking, should one decide to do that.
I just mentioned he's making his Twins debut today because
the results a good look and bit accordingly. But bid
uh yeah, if you have zero dollar bids, that would
be the appropriate bid based on his performance today.

Speaker 1 (52:08):
So if you had you needed a picture Tim, and
both Bradley and Abel were available, which one would you
Which one would you put the most money on?

Speaker 3 (52:23):
Mick Abel?

Speaker 1 (52:25):
Interesting? Really?

Speaker 3 (52:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (52:28):
I uh, Jaz Bradley has sort of sucked the life
out of me this year. I don't know what happened,
what went wrong, but a lot did. And I am
not looking at him nearly in the same perspective today
as I was a year ago, and a year ago

(52:50):
I don't think I was looking at him in the
same perspective as two years ago.

Speaker 3 (52:54):
He's really fallen.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
In my books, sounds like I need to do a
Baseball Soon breakdown of Taj Bradley to find that if
Tim's concerns are warranted or if he's just just going emotional.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
I got Burg. I got Burg.

Speaker 1 (53:09):
Yes, which, Hey, look look we all we all back
away from guys that we get burned by. That's totally normal,
totally get it. Yeah, Alex call outfitter with the Los
Angeles Dodgers. A lot of is not known about Alex
Callers came over in the trade at the deadline, and
you're saying he's on the weak side of the platoon

(53:31):
with Michael Confordo though.

Speaker 2 (53:34):
Yeah, but Michael Confordo has been fairly weak himself. So yeah,
past week he's gone six or fourteen at home run
three RBIs five runs scored. Right now, that's it'd be
an analy only target for me in deep formats. But
if he continues to hit, I think he'll see playing time. Okay,
So it's just again I'm one of those deeper, deeper

(53:54):
league situations. But I just thought he was warning of
a mention.

Speaker 1 (53:58):
I gu it's a good call. I agree with you there,
And I mean, Michael Confordo has been a huge disappointment
for the Dodgers and for fantasy managers that partake in.
And he was a guy that I've partook in, and
it's he's been cut. I mean, he's just been terrible. Yeah,
Brenton Doyle, we talked about him at length on Friday,
and he makes your waiver wire. It's amazing that he's

(54:21):
available in seventy two percent of ESPN leagues.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Yeah, and you know, the past past two weeks, he's
looking like the Brenton Doyle of old. Five home runs
fourteen RBIs swiped a couple of bays twelve twenty seven. Ops. Hey,
it's been a tough year, but I'm I'm very happy.
I think we should be happy for the resurgence and
definitely build him into our plans for the balance of

(54:45):
this year and moving forward into twenty twenty six.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
True or false, Adele Amador is still in the major.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
Leagues today or next year or today today.

Speaker 1 (55:03):
I want to know is he on the major league
roster today?

Speaker 3 (55:07):
I'm gonna say he is.

Speaker 1 (55:09):
He is not?

Speaker 3 (55:10):
Okay, good Colorado.

Speaker 1 (55:16):
Still my Uh he might be called up Saturday. I
don't know, but yeah he I was actually doing my
Hot Prospects of the Week research and I saw Amador's
name pop up is having a good week, and I
literally laughed out loud. I'm going, oh my gosh, he's
not with Colorado. So at least he spent most of
the week in the minor leagues.

Speaker 3 (55:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Oh I shake, I shake my head, I really do.

Speaker 3 (55:44):
That's all you.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
That's all you can do. The password tim your Tenson Garcia.

Speaker 3 (55:53):
Yeah, A little a little bit deeper digging.

Speaker 2 (55:55):
I think I was fairly bullish on him Friday, but
a little bit deeper digging.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
And it looks like William A.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
Bray is not going to miss as much time as
maybe we had anticipated on Friday. They're talking about him
being ready to come off the il next week, towards
the end of the next week. So temper your expectations,
you know. I think the power's there. Okay, Yeah, he's

(56:22):
going to strike out a ton, but the playing time
opportunities on a contender might be very limited, limited to win.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
Garcia actually returns.

Speaker 1 (56:31):
I think that's totally fair.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
I mean, sorry, when a Bray returns, sorry.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
And look a Bray who is going to rush back
because the guys are gonna get guys are gonna get
wally pipped in Boston. The potential replacement players that they've
got coming up are really really good.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
Yeah, it's uh yeah, Bray's and he wants to get
back on a playoff contender and get into that playoff race.

Speaker 3 (56:57):
He's he's had a really good year.

Speaker 1 (57:00):
Yeah. Plus if he doesn't want somebody to take us job,
you know, it's like yeah, I mean the password could
be very good. And they got if he's not gonna be,
they got other guys that are gonna come up that
could be very good.

Speaker 2 (57:11):
Well, you got Cambell, Campbell and Mayor. They are going
to be around next year. Yeah, the pressure on these
veterans is going to be fairly intense.

Speaker 1 (57:19):
I would have a ten season a Brave's not much
of a veteran. But I think it's I mean, why
didn't they bring up Christian Campbell? I mean, I haven't
heard boo about him, and he's under contract for I
mean it's not a tremendous amount of money, but he's
under contract for winy six years and fifty million dollars
or something like that.

Speaker 2 (57:37):
Yeah. I don't know, but they went out and got
themselves the next guy on our list, Nate Lowe, rather
than promoting him because Campbell hasn't playing in first base
in the minors, hasn't he.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
I don't know, Actually, Okay, I thought.

Speaker 3 (57:53):
They were they were working on them over the first base.
That's the last I heard.

Speaker 1 (57:57):
But well, we can look that up up just a
second baseball reference, go to Christian Campbell. We got to
go to the minor league stats. It's a little hidden
to find the game locks of the minor league slats.
So the minor league logs and games twenty twenty five.

(58:18):
Bring that up. This is what I do all day long,
tim second base, second base, Oh yeah, first Yeah, more
first base. So he's played in the month of August.
He has played one, two, three, four, five, six, six
games at first seven games at first base including Friday night, UH,

(58:38):
and then mostly the outfield. He hasn't played any second
base at all. So if you're reading the tea leaves,
they think that they'd use them at first base or
the outfield.

Speaker 2 (58:49):
Yes, and instead of calling him up, they sign.

Speaker 1 (58:52):
Nate low and he is the next guy on your list.
And Nate Lowe is obviously a very established guy. Was
it the UH Rangers? Is that where he was playing?

Speaker 2 (59:04):
Yeah, No, he was in Washington. I believe it was
part of that. Yeah, he was with the Rangers prior
to that. But you know, he's never been great, but
he's always been Okay, you know over the past five seasons,
he's averaged nineteen home runs a year. Okay, the batting
average I believe is usually in the two sixty range,

(59:24):
but since Boston picked him up, he's gone five for fourteen,
three walks, a home run, four rbish and I put
this might not be about how good he can be.
It's about how much better he'll be than the current
other options in Boston. Okay, but so far, so good
for Nate Lowe, and he's got to be thrilled going

(59:45):
from Washington to Boston.

Speaker 1 (59:48):
Yeah. I actually picked up Nate Lowe in a couple
of leagues, as I was pretty bullish. I did not,
but people dropped him soon as he got cut, and
I just I thought that I looked at the date,
I thought there was stuff st there. So I jumped on,
good for you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
Good for you, because so far he's delivering, and it
doesn't look like, at least so far, Bostin's in a
hurry to get Campbell back up right, So for you guys,
for you.

Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
Guys that are speculating on minor league players maybe having
an impact next season, just jop this down in your
kitchen table. Etch it into your kitchen table. Yo, Hondi
Morales would be the next guy in line for first base.

Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
They do.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
They do have the affable Josh Bell still there, but
Handi Morales a couple three. He had a couple three
home runs this week. He'll be making our Hot Prospects
of the week. He's had a really nice little run
here and triple A. It strikes out too much, but
there's big, big power here, So keep that guy on

(01:00:55):
the short list. If the Nationals don't go out and
sign anybody, which they probably won't, he might be an
interesting dude sometime next season. Cool.

Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
Thank you for sharing that.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
Anytime, my friend, where are we here, Nate Low? We
just did for Nathaniel I think he goes by Jeff McNeil. Wow,
there's a flash.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
From the Yeah, that's what I thought when I but
he himself a good week. I had three home runs,
drove in nine runs this week. If you got a
vacancy in your middle infield, he might be the guy
to phill it. And he's only rostered to the tune
of twenty four percent at CBS.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
All right, Peter Messick, I was really disappointed in your
narrative here because I, yeah, I was not thinking of
John Means potentially coming back and taking his I didn't
even realize Means was with the Cleveland Guardians.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Yeah, no, I was. I was fairly bullish on partner
at Messick until I started to look at the schedule
moving forward and all of a sudden, I didn't see
him there, and I saw John Means penciled in at
the beginning of September. And you know, I went to
Cleveland and get you know, you got Gavin Williams, you
got the underachieving Tanner biby. Okay, you got there.

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
There's you've taken You've taken the baby poster off your wall, right.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
I burnt it a effigy Okay in the backyard. Yeah,
it's gone, Logan Allen, you know you throw John Means
in there?

Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
Are they going to go with a six man rotation
or that? You know?

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
I mean, what what is what? What's Cleveland going to do? Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:02:46):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
And I just see the potential for maybe mess yeah,
not getting the playing time opportunities. I'm just I'm just
not sold on it. Like, I just don't know what
Cleveland is going to do when John Means is ready.
So he's got the raise this week after that, it's
sort of up in the air.

Speaker 3 (01:03:05):
Who knows what Cleveland's going to do.

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
All I know is they're probably wishing after that first
start that they still had mister Bieber.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Who had a great outing. That was a good call
by Tim temp told everybody to go grab him, and
he was very good. John means second, Tommy, John surgery.
Think you only pitch maybe three or four outings or
something like that in twenty twenty four before he got
hurt again. Yeah, let's twenty point two innings in twenty
twenty four, got hurt again, and let's see what he

(01:03:36):
is doing here in the minor leagues. That was the
minor leagues going for him. He's in Hiay six innings
pitched so far, so he's just getting started on his
rehabbiting two starts.

Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
Oh, the information I had said he had four, so
I don't know where they were coming from. But yeah,
it's just something to be aware of when you're looking
at Messek.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Who knows what Cleveland's.

Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
Going to do forward on his first start was on
October fifteenth, second start was on October. In fact, it
wasn't a start, it was just, yeah, it was a start.
The second game was on the twentieth of August, so
each said two and two thirds and three and two thirds.
So let's say gets up to four innings pitched his
next douting, So he's probably got at least another two weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:04:19):
At least another two weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Okay, so you'll probably get three starts out of Messic,
I would say guaranteed.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
Yeah, he was awfully good at his first outing. So
it's a guy that I've been all so.

Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
Yeah, Yeah, I was just concerned because I thought John
Means might clutter up the situation a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
But he's still good. He's still good.

Speaker 3 (01:04:40):
He's still good.

Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
Uh, segana Tim, I love your running here. It's August
has been excellent. He's been absolutely money.

Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
April and May were solid, June and July not so much.
August has been great. If my last five starts, he's
loaded a lot of total of six earned runs and
three to three wins. I just put all in all,
it's been a solid year.

Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
If you're looking for a starter right now, he's on
a roll, go get him.

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
I was gonna see I can't spell his name right, So.

Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
Who's that again?

Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
Yeah? Sagana or Sagano. Hug is it?

Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
S u s u g o, s ug not sug.

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
Yes, sug a And oh yeah, all right, let's.

Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
See what he's done this season. S hug. There he
is Baltimore. I haven't I kind of in one league.
I keep it him. Well, he's not striking out anybody.
He's got three three ninety seven ear A and expected
five sixty three ear A. He does have ten wins.
He could be a guy that gets some Rookie of

(01:05:48):
the Year votes. I mean ten wins is ten wins
in a Yeah, if you keep his ear A below four.

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
I mean, you know, Baltimore did okay with him, they
really did. You know.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
They took they took an aging veteran from Japan, and
he pitched it just about what I figured he would pitch. Okay,
some good games, some bad games, some in between. But
right now he's on a bit of a role. So hey,
we're down to the last five weeks of the season.
There's not much out there.

Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
It's one year, thirteen million dollars. That's a thirteen million
dollar guy who is going to get you ten to
twelve wins and uh, you know, league average ERA that's
that's what they cost.

Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
Yep, they do, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
The last guy is Carson Williams. That was your guy
that you were telling everybody that you'd spend the most
amount of money on. Now it's been through the weekend.
Are you still in that camp?

Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Yes? I still am.

Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
I Hey, if he went two for four into his
debut and the home run three RBIs two run scored,
you got caught stealing, which is actually it's better than
not seeing anything. It means they're gonna let him run,
which Tampa Bay does. Okay, so the only Yeah, the
power and speed are real. The misfart of the swing
and miss game is real as well. If you're counting

(01:07:11):
on batting average, I don't think you'll see it, But yeah,
I like Carson Williams down the stretch.

Speaker 3 (01:07:19):
I think you'll be a good ad.

Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
Look, if Colson Montgomery could do what he did, I
mean surely Carson Williams can do something very similar. Carson
Williams is a way better player than Colson Montgomery. They
both can't hit, so I mean it's totally possible that
Carson Williams can can provide some stats here at the
end of the season.

Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
Yeah, the only thing that sort of a bummer is
I'm looking and I'm trying to trying to figure out,
like what happened on Saturday to Carson Williams.

Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
Do they bench them? What's going on?

Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Then it clicked in Tampa Bay and Saint Louis didn't
play on Saturday. What was the last time teams didn't
play on a Saturday? They only had one d game?

Speaker 3 (01:07:59):
Yes, like I know.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
Football started up, raw raw ra, shish boomba and all
that stuff, but come on, Major League Baseball and two
teams sitting on a Saturday and no afternoon games, like
get with the program, wheel them out there, and to
heck with what's happening in the other sports?

Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
My rant?

Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
Interesting? So I don't know this, but I would speculate
that because of the timing issues the Rays having to
play in Yankee Stadium, maybe maybe that that George Steinbrenner
Stadium was spoken for on that Saturday.

Speaker 3 (01:08:35):
Yeah, it could be, because it makes no.

Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
Sense that they wouldn't have a game on a Saturday.
I don't think that's ever happened.

Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
Yeah, it's yeah, I might have to look into it,
but a little closer, I'm sure there was a reason
for it, but it still seems lame to me. Yeah,
move it down the road. There's only one afternoon game yesterday.

Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
That's for sure. Well, I mean yeah, I mean, look,
college football is a big deal here. I don't know
if it's actually started yet, but you know that's that's
what happens. They go to Saturday and Sunday you go to. Well,
Sunday will still stay the same. But football's a'most September ten.
Football's here, my friend.

Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
Sy big size, why didn't That's when I did. That's
when I rake on the waiver wire because half your
league mats aren't paying attention.

Speaker 3 (01:09:24):
In a lot of leagues because football started, right yep,
happens every year.

Speaker 1 (01:09:32):
Okay, why why didn't the Rais and Cardinals play yesterday?
Asking chat GBT, see what they tell us? Computer knows everything. No,
it gives me their their final and August twenty second.
I didn't ask that.

Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
The computer also doesn't listen very well. Apparently.

Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
Wow, all right, well, I don't know. Maybe somebody out
there in the audience knows why they didn't play. To me,
it's take a break. Come back into your clobe. As
a report that says, so I asked chat GPT, and

(01:10:21):
I said, you know my original questions, why didn't the
Raisin Cardinals play yesterday, which had been in the twenty third,
And they showed me the twenty seconds game and then
I said, the Raisin Cardinals didn't play yesterday, Saturday the
twenty third, because the game was rescheduled to avoid a
venue conflict with a Tampa Bay Buccaneers preseason game with
the Buffalo Bills. Have you ever been to sign Brenner Field.

(01:10:42):
It's literally in the parking lot of the of the
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium. So there you go. Okay,
there you go, Saturday game to Thursday, August twenty first,
giving the giving both teams a rare Saturday off mid series.

(01:11:06):
Chat Cheapt thank Tim is pretty remarkable. It knows everything.

Speaker 3 (01:11:10):
So yeah, I'll have to give you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
I'll have to.

Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
I have to. I have to give you a spy.

Speaker 1 (01:11:15):
It's great if you if you keep att it. I mean,
it's just you know, it just it has a conversation
with you. It's it's crazy. You sit there and go,
well what about this? And they get it wrong. Good,
that's not what I asked. You Go go look again
and it comes back and tells you the answer. It's
it's truly remarkable.

Speaker 3 (01:11:31):
Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
Tucking to myself. I've done that for all the number
of years rich self arguing with myself. No, very rarely,
so it might be a new experience.

Speaker 1 (01:11:45):
Well, so, two of the names on this list, I'm
going to personally thank the great Tim McLeod for giving
me first as Jose Ferrera. I did not know who
he was, Timmy, on your recommendation, I picked him up
in four or five leagues. Thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (01:12:00):
You are very welcome.

Speaker 1 (01:12:02):
Why is he on the list?

Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
He's on the list.

Speaker 2 (01:12:05):
He's only rostered Dune to twenty three percent, and yesterday
ran a scoreless streak to seven games. During that seven
games span, he has two wins, four saves, three of
which were in a row. He's pitching well, you know,
eight strikeouts, no walks during that span. There's a lot
to like, I think, both now and into twenty twenty six,

(01:12:26):
I think you'll be thanking me next year on that
one as well.

Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
I think I will too. So think because I played
mostly Dynasty League.

Speaker 3 (01:12:32):
So and the other one that's a big pickup.

Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
Yeah. The other one is Victor Vodnik.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
Yeah, so I will tell you.

Speaker 1 (01:12:41):
So my NPC team has come to life. Think I'm
in seventh place now, so it's I'm not going to
finish in the money. But and I've got saves now, Tim,
I guess who was given it to me? Victor Vodnik
because I was one of the guys I drafted in
the forty fifth round.

Speaker 3 (01:13:00):
Yeah, okay, thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
I haven't been a bunch of dinasty leagues. I added
them last week and other diningsty leagues as I saw
that he was getting the saves. And you didn't mention
him last week, but you mentioned him last year. So
I went in, thank you very much, mister mclound.

Speaker 3 (01:13:16):
You're welcome. It's hard to bring up.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
I looked at Vodnik last week and I said, Colorado, Okay,
this is gonna die this week and he's gonna get
absolutely toasted. But he did six consecutive scoreless appearance to
win in four consecutive saves and death streak. It's hey,
it's the Rockies. But right now he's getting it done.
He's available if you need saves desperately, h go grab him.

(01:13:41):
He's a roster seventeen percent a CB has five percent
at ESPN. I don't put the same endorsement on Vodnik
as I do on fer Arago, as you probably he'd
probably noticed. I'm not as bullish on Vodnik heading into
next year.

Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
Fer I like a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:14:01):
I think Washington'll keep running with him as long as
he continues to be successful. And hey, they went with
Kyle Finnigan for years and years, through the ups and
downs and everything else, and it's foreir the equivalent I
think he could be.

Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
That was actually my thinking when you told all of
us to go pick him up and we didn't get
a chance to do an analysis of him or anything deep,
but I was thinking Carle finn again, they kept him forever.
I mean, that's an organization that clearly likes to name
a closer, and that's what I'm looking for in dynasty leagues.
And then I did the research and said, hey, this
is a pretty good arm. So yeah, it all works.

(01:14:39):
So again, we don't always listen to Tim. He's not
always right, but he's right more than he's wrong. So
I mean he was wrong on Kate Smith. Thank you
very much, mister McLeod. You screwed me on that one.

Speaker 2 (01:14:52):
But well, okay, in the words of the late great
meat Loaf two had a three to eight bag exactly,
So yeah, no, recommend it. Well, great, Kate Smith's coming
off three games in which he's earned runs.

Speaker 3 (01:15:14):
Yeah, I'm aware pitching.

Speaker 1 (01:15:15):
Well, I'm aware to him. Thank you. What's your next point?

Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
Okay? Again, do I have to mention meet bove. That's
how many major league teams are playing? Just sixty six
and two thirds percent win loss Not very many, not.

Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
Very minute's very good, but it's it's you know, I again,
for dynasty leagues we're all looking for. I mean, I've
got Closana a couple maybe three dynasty leagues, and Timmy,
I'm scared to death that that there's gonna be a
year suspension or something worse coming from this guy. Really
really worried here.

Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
I think you have every rate and reason to be worried.
If I was sitting Class A and a dynasty keeper
long term keeper sort.

Speaker 3 (01:16:03):
Of format, I'd be very concerned. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
Hey, the locker cleaning out so abruptly and so quickly
that that's not a good sign. Okay, And the overall
silence that this whole issue nothing no zipp o, not
and nothing. That is not a good sign. He could
end up it could end up being one of these

(01:16:29):
eight months from now they make an announcement. You just
don't know what's going to happen there, and I don't
feel very good about it. And you know, hey, right
now Kate Smith and Hunter Gadis are both in a
position where I think they could be auditioning for next year.

Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
Okay, and and and.

Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Further to that, I'm gonna throw another very quickly. What
do you do with a guy like keithan Aiken? What
do you do in Baltimore? Now that we know, okay,
that Felix Jees is not going to be back until
twenty twenty seven at the earliest. Baltimore needs a closer.
Are they going to go out an attempt to buy one?

Speaker 1 (01:17:07):
I think they would guard. I would think they'd go
out and try to Well, that's actually an interesting question.

Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
We'd have to take Kate Bolvich for your closer. There's
one for you.

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
He doesn't throw hard enough, though, but yeah, I mean
I would look for I mean, some of these young
kids that they've got coming up. I mean, Trey Gibson's
been awfully good, throws hard. I mean maybe they try
to bring up somebody, or maybe it's a Dean Kramer
they throw in the you know, in the bullpen or something.

Speaker 3 (01:17:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:17:32):
I mean, the Orioles have not don't do not have
a history of signing pictures. They just don't they have
a history of signing anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
Yeah, so again that's another situation. But right now, getting
back to Hundre Gatis, he's got an eight consecutive shutdown
annings one save five holes. He's pitching very very well.
I don't think live in let Kate Smith struggle indefinitely.
So again, if you're looking at you know, a cheap

(01:18:02):
under five dollars bid in one thousand dollars fab type format,
I'd give a hundred gadis to look right now. You
might be able to just sneak in with some cheap,
cheap saves if you need them down the stretch.

Speaker 1 (01:18:13):
Five dollars in some of the light leagues would be
a third of my budget, a third of my fab
fab left.

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
So I'm out five dollars. Five dollars in some of
my leagues is more than what I have to work with,
which I think I'm down to three dollars in labor
something like that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:30):
That's that's one hundred dollars budget.

Speaker 3 (01:18:32):
Right, hundred years but no zero bids.

Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Oh that's brutal. That's brutal.

Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:18:39):
Wow, Yeah, I got three moves left.

Speaker 3 (01:18:43):
No, I don't because anybody I want. It's a very
active league.

Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
I've got fourteen other owners that are looking at exactly
the same players, and there are really no surprises. I
gotta have to take and throw that three four bucks
whatever it is in on one bid and hope to
get it. Then pray for no injuries.

Speaker 1 (01:19:02):
Yeah again, back to Class A. It would not surprise
Tim Urai, if I mean Tim he gets if he
gets found guilty, and hopefully they will take their time
because this is serious. He and Louis ortiz Uh. It
would not surprise me that they found that he's guilty
of betting on baseball. If that's the case, he's gone.
That's it. It's a lifetime ban.

Speaker 3 (01:19:23):
Yeah, it's it's all over.

Speaker 1 (01:19:25):
Yeah, that's that's really unfortunate. But that's where we are.
To me, I think our final break and come back
and try to wrap this thing up. Lake games have started,

(01:19:48):
he said. Kyle Riley with his forty eighth um run.

Speaker 2 (01:19:51):
Does he get to sixty, Oh, I'm gonna say no.
I think you'll surpass. I think he'll own record Prez
was over fifty. I think early early fifties. Yeah, I
think you'll end up with there. I don't think he'll

(01:20:12):
get to sixty though.

Speaker 1 (01:20:13):
Rich Now, yeah that's what It's only twelve left, so
he's got five weeks. That's uh two a week.

Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
He's there, But as he gets closer to sixty, I
think the bulls when you get smaller, and that's when
you get heavier.

Speaker 1 (01:20:31):
He could very well be true. Jacob Jacob Lope not
Jacob Wilson is back to me. Hit a home run today?

Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
Ah, good for him.

Speaker 3 (01:20:41):
I see Marseille did more damage again today.

Speaker 1 (01:20:45):
I wanted to bring that up. Yeah, and Ury Perez
wins again. That guys guy's good man, That guy's good.
But yeah, Marseille at two for four to three, RBIs
hitting three for six and I'll be doing a Baseball
Savon breakdown on him for our patri memberies. I can't
do it now because literally everything is over the top. Red.

(01:21:05):
I mean, it looks like he's the best player in baseball.

Speaker 2 (01:21:09):
Yeah, we have never seen a player of his caliber
in the history of the game right now, that's gotta
be all insane.

Speaker 1 (01:21:15):
It's insane. I mean it's like the sample size is
just too small. Otherwise I have nothing to say except wow.
I mean, he's been unbelievable. I saw him play yesterday.
He didn't do much. It figures the one game I
sat down to watch him play and it was we
didn't do anything. And it was like, but he's got
big forearms. I was surprised about how muscular he was.

Speaker 3 (01:21:35):
He's got a little bit of pop Eye in him?

Speaker 1 (01:21:37):
Does he little Popeye in him? And I was looking
for anything again going back to I don't know if
you've taken a look at his baseball so, I mean
it is literally his average ex VELOSSI is ninety two
miles an hour. His hard hit rates are at eighty
eighty five. I mean it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
Yeah, speaking of I changed my boat, I think he
just said another home run. Yeah he did forty nine know,
two for two with four RBIs Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:22:08):
Oh, I would love him to overtake Judge that year
that he had or you know, go for the record
and people in New York would go crazy. Particularly, didn't
Roy say something to the effect of at least when
I hit a home run, it means something that would
be great.

Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
Oh ouch ouch ouch.

Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
Logan Gilbert off to a good start up against mister
Lopez of the Athletics, who's getting Torch to the five
runs Gilbert two innings pitched, near run, not home run,
and five strikeoats.

Speaker 1 (01:22:41):
Yamamoto off pitching today against Bavetta, should be good outing.
The Dodgers attack first and score a run in the
first run. Let's see who did the damage. Bets with
a hit po he's hitting two forty five. Mookie Betts.

Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Oh yeah, you know, when I look at labor, the
fact that I'm in the I'm still for second, third
and my first two picks for Mookie Bets and Jackson Morrel,
is it jack.

Speaker 3 (01:23:11):
Merrily? Yeah, that's my first.

Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
Yeah, I'm still in I'm still in shock that I'm
I'm competing with those two as my as my one two.

Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
Oh man, looks like the Orioles one three to two.
Let's see who an uh Keagan Akin got the safe
tim there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:23:33):
Good my he's my replacement for Josh Hater in the labor,
So yeah, I'm happy.

Speaker 1 (01:23:42):
There you go. Gunnar Henderson with a home run today
and uh Vasquez with the home run.

Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
So.

Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Atlanta came back. You know who has really pitched well
in the past months. Uh uh, that's a good guess.

Speaker 3 (01:24:01):
Yes, agree with you.

Speaker 4 (01:24:05):
If you didn't hear that muffle rat basket, Yes, you
keep telling me, i've i've I should have gone out
and grabbed.

Speaker 1 (01:24:23):
Him because I guess I didn't believe in the total
annihilation of Russio and Glaciers. So yeah, great, Yeah he's pitching.

Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
He's pitching fairly well the Cubs and the Angels.

Speaker 3 (01:24:37):
What's happening?

Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
Uh apparent I saw somewhere. It looks like Kyle Tucker's back,
which is a good thing. He had a too homer
game yesterday. But the combination of Tucker and Suzuki and
PCA the past month not very good, not very good
at all. Some dreadful numbers from those three, and they

(01:24:59):
need big numbers. So can we go?

Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
Greg Soto lost the game against the Mets. The Braves
and Mets people just they should subscribe to this, to
this podcast, because we've all warned the Gregory Soto loser
role here, so we've all owned him. But I don't
know how the Braves can be fifty nine and seventy

(01:25:23):
one with profar as a good player. He's he's off
to a strong start. Matt Olsen's a good player again.
Ronald Accunya a great player. It started the season late.
I get it. Osuna good player, Alby's good player, Michael
Harris good player. The pitching's okay. I don't know what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:25:46):
Injury after injury after injury. Have they ever had a
game where they've had their preseason projected lineup? Have they
ever had that lineup on the field at all? With
Riley in there? And yeah, Michael Harris, he didn't show
up until a few weeks back, same thing. Yes, Yeah,

(01:26:09):
And you know Acuna has been on and off the il.
You know pro far profile missed the first half of
the season.

Speaker 1 (01:26:17):
Yeah, it's yeah, but still they got they they've got
enough good players. I mean, schwellenback, I know, got hurt
and sales been gone. But they've also had pretty good
pictures there too. It just doesn't seem like they can
put it together.

Speaker 2 (01:26:33):
No, it's it's a lost year. That's I'm just That's
what I'm attributing it to. Just it's just a lost year.

Speaker 1 (01:26:41):
If I had ten dollars or twenty dollars to put
down in Vegas, I'd put it on the the Braves
for twenty twenty six. I think they're gonna that that
that's got too much talent on that team for them
just uh, that's it. They're going back to rebuilding.

Speaker 3 (01:26:55):
Yeah. And you know you look at their catch. You know,
you got Murphy and Baldwin. Baldwin's are really good, really great. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
Yeah, so yeah, I think that I think that would
be a very very wise bed.

Speaker 1 (01:27:09):
The Casey Royals beat up on Flairty ten to eight.
They withstand the Tigers stvs with the thirty fourth. Oh
my buddy, Michael and Michael Garcia with his thirteenth I'm run,
You're welcome. Ten, You're welcome. He's going to get the fifteen.

Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
That is one of my hi plus is on that
labor team.

Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
Ye. Him and Andy Payos, those two have gone a
long way into helping my cause.

Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
Yeah. I listened to on Garcia. Yeah, thank you, Rich
appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
It's a day that ends, and why what what what
happens on a day that ends? And y ten Thennie
pass Mateina it's a home run.

Speaker 3 (01:27:51):
Yeah, I think is that thirty for him?

Speaker 1 (01:27:53):
Twenty eight it's got to be cool twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:27:55):
Eight Okay, Yeah, he's having a monster August, he really is.
And good good for vinnyp And hey the Royals are
they're back in the race for playoffs. Yeah, they're they're
back in it. Good good for Casey. I'd love you know,
we were talking a while back about how can a

(01:28:16):
team team with you know, Bobby wit Junior and Sal
Perez Garcia. Yeah, yeah, yeah, how can they be playing that? Well,
they're not playing that really anymore. They're on a roll,
and good for them. Same with the Brewers. Are up
three to two on the Giants today with Chad Durbin
being the key. You know, they lost Ortiz now to

(01:28:36):
go along with Cheerio, to go along with Reese, and
they're still just plugging away with the likes of Monasterio
and Lockridge and Danny Janssen leading the church YEP.

Speaker 1 (01:28:48):
Vinny p Up ten home runs in the first twenty
four games in the month of August. It's only hitting
two forty four, but it's it's twenty It was twenty
five RBI is coming into the game. How many RBIs
did he get today, So it's a huge month.

Speaker 2 (01:29:06):
Yeah, and this is what he did last season, if
you recall for those that invested, Yeah, and then what
happened was he got hurt. That's one of the reasons
I was in on Vinnie Is because when you look
at his overall numbers last year, they looked good and okay,
but they didn't look great. But then if you didn't

(01:29:27):
factor him what he did in September, which was nothing,
you know, you add another month to that, and I thought, yeah,
there's there's some potential for Vinnie P to surpass what
he did last year. Okay, just if he stayed healthy.
And so far it's bang on.

Speaker 1 (01:29:43):
I believe last season I had VINNP in a bunch
of leagues and last season I think he had ninety
nine RBIs at the end of August when he hit
the IL, and I mean, that was the kind of
season he was having. I mean, and it makes total sense.
Given how good that team is, Vinnie P Is going
to get a lot of cheap RBIs in that lineup.
And it didn't happen to the first of the season

(01:30:07):
here and then all of a sudden, he's gonna get
thirty in the month of August. You multiply that by
by six, that's one hundred and eight. That's the pace
he has been on in the month of August.

Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
Yeah, it's it's been crazy good. I'm just taking a
look at the Miami game. I'm just curious to see
which one of the vendors out of the mix.

Speaker 3 (01:30:25):
Now, okay, so.

Speaker 2 (01:30:29):
We should be down to two. Let's see who got
to stay. Oh, okay, Phillips, that's who I would have picked. Jeez,
Ronnie and Riquez. They put him in in the eighth
pitch to one batter, got him out of a jam. Okay,
and then they brought in Phillips and they gave Voucher
the day off. Uh go to Miami.

Speaker 1 (01:30:51):
Yeah that uh that Enrique has not worked for you.

Speaker 2 (01:30:55):
No, he's pitched well. The strakeout totals are good, the
area and Whipper saw.

Speaker 3 (01:31:00):
He just.

Speaker 2 (01:31:02):
They just haven't moved him into a permanent role in
the ninth inning, which is something I was hoping for.
I've gone him in a couple of Dynasty leagues and
he isn't going anywhere.

Speaker 1 (01:31:12):
Yeah. That bombed about Gossman. I thought, Uh, I mean
every time he seems like he gets on a roll.
It's four earned runs against the Miami Marlins. I know
they got Marseille sitting in the number two hole, which
is the best hitter goes in the number two hole.
I get it, but man, it's you expect Goslin to
be able to pitch better against the Marlins.

Speaker 3 (01:31:32):
Yeah, yeah, definitely.

Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
And yeah I'm looking at flipping over to the Texas
game and why at Langford with a couple of RB
eyes and the Doleski is back road rowdy tiles with
a with a home run today, shame Evan Carter out
and gonna miss a balance of gonna miss the balance

(01:31:55):
of the season. I you know how much time is
left with Garcia on that contract, but.

Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
It just hasn't been.

Speaker 2 (01:32:06):
Hasn't been the right year for Evan Carter, and I
don't I don't know if his ability hits so long
term they got to give me at bats or he's.

Speaker 3 (01:32:14):
Going to be John Peterson.

Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
Yep. That's what I worry about with Dylan Beavers. I
know you're a big fan, which I am too, but
I mean there is there's bad splits there as well,
so and that that's you know, again, they could be
good players. Everybody That's why I keep saying, no your parameters.
You just got to know what you're up against. And
you can't over evaluate guys or under evaluate them. It's

(01:32:37):
the same thing. The more information you have about a
particular player, the more detail you have, then you can
make appropriate decisions. That's that's what that's what we're here
to do. It's tell everybody everything we know, and then
you can make the decision right.

Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
You weigh the risks, the pros and the cons If
you're willing to take that risk, just know what the
potential outcome could be.

Speaker 1 (01:32:59):
Yeah, So if somebody's willing to trade you Evan Carter,
which is fine. Evan Carter is a good player. He
will be he will provide very good stats two thirds
of the season. You just and and you have to
factor and you have to factor in the injury risk,
which I think is becoming problematic. And you just need
to make sure that you don't overpay for him. Or

(01:33:20):
you talk with the trading partner and say, look, I
know i'm going to get two thirds of a player,
so you're going to get two thirds to return value.
That's that's how you try to craft that.

Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Well exactly, and if it boils down to a topic
of discussion.

Speaker 3 (01:33:36):
Well, if he's going to be that darn good, why
are you offering him to.

Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
Be hold on to him? You'd be better off, right, Yeah,
that's my that's my infamous line. If he's going to
be that damn good, keep him, don't do me a favor.

Speaker 1 (01:33:51):
Or if you've got Jack Peterson, Evan Carter, and Dylan
Beaver's all on the same team and you're expecting those
guys to anchor your outfield, guess probably dh and and
Jack Peters. I mean, you just know that that's problematic.
You're not gonna get enough at bats.

Speaker 2 (01:34:07):
Well, it's problematic for an old guy like me because
I don't want to look to see every week how
many lefties they're facing, okay, or or right hand you
know our right handed pitchers. There's not enough hours in
the day when you play more than five leagues to
be spending each and every week of the season looking
at matchups. That's great, and putting your lineup in based

(01:34:29):
on that that you know that that would drive me
absolutely insane.

Speaker 1 (01:34:33):
So let's substitute Jason Diminga's or Jason Dimingos. I don't
think he goes make Jason. I think he guess just Jason.
At least they they American. They've English anglicized his name
to make it easier for us as people to say.
But it's it's uh, he's a he's a lefty problem too,
So that's another potential platoon. And see if if you're
in a young dynasty league or keeper league and you're thinking, oh,

(01:34:56):
look at me, I've got Evan Carter, got Jason Dimingas,
and I've got Dylan b Us. Guess what, you might
have three part time players in your outfield, which you're
never gonna win. You're just not gonna win that way.

Speaker 2 (01:35:08):
No, And you're in a weekly moves league, okay, so
you spend two hours each week setting your line up
looking at matchups.

Speaker 3 (01:35:15):
No, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
Yeah, And I don't know how you play. But in
these dynasty leagues, i might have one positional player on
my bench, and I've got seven seven bench spots. The
other six are my pitchers I've rotating.

Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
They have to they have to be if you're gonna compete. Yeah, yeah,
they have to be. In the dynasty league, you can
have one or two positional players. The rest of your
reserves to be you have to be pitching.

Speaker 1 (01:35:41):
So so I can't have two or three platoon guys
in the outfield. I just can't. There's just not a
The math just doesn't work, and then you're gonna get
you know, let's say that Evin Carter is great and
he gets sixty five runs and sixty five RBIs and
hits seventeen home runs. That's good for platoon. That's not
good enough.

Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
Just what you're what you're what you're doing is you're
giving up one hundred and fifty, approximately one hundred and
fifty at bats per player. So if you've got two
or three, just do the math real quick. You're losing
three hundred at bats. You're losing four hundred and fifty
at bats. Okay, you can't lose three hundred at bats
and compete on offense. The numbers will look good for

(01:36:23):
the four hundred and fifty at bats, but it's not
good enough to win you a league.

Speaker 3 (01:36:28):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:36:29):
You just can't start off minus three hundred on your
potential at bat totals.

Speaker 3 (01:36:34):
It will work, yep.

Speaker 1 (01:36:37):
Yep. This singer final break to mean good discussion. By
the way, This singer Final break and thoughts wrap this up.

Speaker 3 (01:36:54):
Who's not.

Speaker 1 (01:36:56):
Jacob Barcy, No, I don't think so. Triple in the
fifth inning? Look at that, and uh so triple on
a single. I guess a triple and a double two
more extra bass. That's great.

Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
I'm I'm I'm still sorry of torn on that one,
because I know the game is such that you can
only in Dinasty, that you can only hold on to
players for so long. But I'm wishing I would have
held on to it. I was so bullish on him
a couple of years back, and I you know, you're
running to injuries in the Dynasty League and you've got
to make decisions and.

Speaker 3 (01:37:36):
You can only wait so long. But it's still it
still sucks. You know, I got it.

Speaker 1 (01:37:41):
I have them in four leagues this season. I counted
them up and three Dinastas leagues on the NFBC, and
I'm i'm I got him in there, Timmy, I got
him in front of guys like a Doley's Garcia. I
would I'm just running the hot hand. Is it going
to stay hot? I can't tell you. I don't know,
because it sure looks like it's gonna hot. But we'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
Yeah, you'll want Garcia back in your lineup, two stolen
bases today.

Speaker 1 (01:38:08):
Yeah, I will say with Marci the floor has always
been a guy that could hit with really good speed.
Seventy runner, so that gave him at least the floor
of a full time regular excuse me as as a
fourth outfielder.

Speaker 3 (01:38:23):
Right.

Speaker 1 (01:38:23):
If the early read on the data is somewhat true
and he hits the ball as hard as he's hit
a few of these shots, and he's got ten to
twelve home run power, Timmy, that's a really good player.

Speaker 3 (01:38:36):
Yeah, you're talking potential.

Speaker 1 (01:38:41):
Yes, yeah, you're talking a guy that might end up
with twelve home runs, forty stolen bases and hit two
sixty to seventy. Yeah, that scored exactly. That's a really
good player.

Speaker 3 (01:38:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:38:54):
You and his slug is after today's game, Richard, I'm
going to guess nine high under and something.

Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
No, it's only seven o.

Speaker 1 (01:39:02):
Five seven five okay, Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
With a four sixteen OBP.

Speaker 1 (01:39:07):
Yeah, that's crazy, Timmy. What's for dinner? My friend? Uh?

Speaker 3 (01:39:12):
What's for dinner?

Speaker 2 (01:39:13):
We're making some sort of cast role with chicken in it.
It's it's yeah, Jodie's working today. It's a it's in
a crock pot on the stove. I haven't really investigated.

Speaker 3 (01:39:25):
I did my bit. I turned the thing on, okay,
and I'll do my next bit when I have supper.

Speaker 2 (01:39:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:39:31):
It's a mystery cast role. We'll call it that. How's
that we have?

Speaker 1 (01:39:35):
Uh, we don't really cook cast roles and a crock pot.
That's interesting. LORI made a chicken and like a sauce
thing and then we poured over rice and I think
that's what we're gonna have for leftovers tonight. But how
do you do the how do you do the cast role?

Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
Well, you go over to the stove and there's an
oe let and you plug the cordion Rich.

Speaker 3 (01:39:53):
That's how I do.

Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
Okay, So I mean I have.

Speaker 3 (01:40:00):
Idea.

Speaker 2 (01:40:01):
I just followed the basic instructions and you we back
in the day we used to when the kids are
playing hockey, we take a crock pot with us and
we put a roast in there, and you can make
anything you wanted rock pot. I think pretty much if
you're if you're willing to, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:40:21):
I mean, we used cross all the time. I always
think of that. The cast roles need to be baked, though,
to get the brownness on the top. That's what I
was more asking about, because you think, I think a
castle role has some kind of layer on the top
that is crunchy or something like that. I guess, I
guess it could be anything, but that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:40:42):
I think of a cast role as a mixture of
foods all in one fright losh, Okay, got it, goulash,
there we go, there we go.

Speaker 3 (01:40:52):
Tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:40:54):
Okay, all right, we're having to get leftovers. We went
out for I went got carry out for lunch today,
got someplace called Tachoreo, which is a whi just a
Mexican street food here in town. And oh we just
gorged on that eat them without spice. But it's really good.
So we have that for lunch. That was a pretty

(01:41:14):
heavy lunch. So we're just gonna have some leftovers, more
tomato sandwiches and things like that. So yeah, yeah, yeah,
I was.

Speaker 2 (01:41:21):
Gonna say, your your garden must be reaping the rewards
of your hard work. I would assume it's been a
lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (01:41:28):
We've had a lot of success with it. A ton
of tomatoes, so we've got we've already eaten some of
the candalopes that came out, some green beans, cucumbers out
the wazoo. So yeah, basil or a bunch of basil,
and she made pesto with it. So that's been a
lot of So we do tomato sandwiches. We'll do tomatoes

(01:41:51):
sometimes a little mozzarell cheese on it, half like a
with some pesto on one of the sides of the bread.
And it's it's to die for. It's really good.

Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
Cool, cool. I'm glad. I'm glad the garden was a success.

Speaker 1 (01:42:07):
It's it's a lot of fun. It's just big enough
or small enough that you know, it's fun to go
to and you don't feel like, I mean, you could
work in it in a half hour, you're done, so
it's not like it's an all day affair. So it's
it's good. It's it's eight feet by sixteen feet, so
it's a little thing.

Speaker 2 (01:42:23):
So yeah, I had visions of you and a John
Deere motoring around talking doing your weading, but not quite
the case.

Speaker 1 (01:42:31):
Right, So, I mean, I grew up my dad was
a big My dad grew up as a farmer, so
we had very large gardens. Almost many of them weren't
far so they were big gardens, like a half acre,
which is a lot. And I did all the work.
I mean I know how to do it all. I
wrote the John Deere tractor, I wrote, I did the rottelling,

(01:42:52):
I did all the planning, and so I know how
to do all that. I really do so and I
and Lorie will tell you, my wife will tell you
that for the first twenty five years of our marriage,
I refuse to do anything in the guard because I
I literally had PTSD with it. I mean I hated
it so much growing up because that's all I did.

(01:43:14):
I mean I was I did the chores. That's that
was what was required.

Speaker 2 (01:43:18):
And you do it was It wasn't a debatable subject either.
That was what you did.

Speaker 1 (01:43:23):
That's what you did. I would get up and I've
told all kinds of funny stories. I think they're funny stories,
and I won't wore people that. But I would get
up on a you know, summer morning, and there would
be a handwritten note on the kitchen table my dad
had gone to work. I'd get up at ten or whatever,
because that's what that's how you know, you're fifteen years old,
that's what you did. And there would be a list

(01:43:44):
of thirty items that I had to get done. It
would be harvest the corn. You know, it was not
simple things.

Speaker 3 (01:43:53):
Yeah, my.

Speaker 2 (01:43:55):
Response to that would be as.

Speaker 1 (01:44:00):
There you go, tell you I knew how to do
all that stuff, but you know it is what it is.
That's cool, Temmy. That is a wrap, my friend. Have
a good week. Good luck with your teams. Tim. I
hope you pull it out and labor at least get
into the money or top three. That would be great.
I want to ask about the other industry league, your

(01:44:20):
baseball Baseball HQ.

Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
But yeah, yeah, there's a couple a week and talk
about never that would be just fine for me. Yeah,
a lot of injuries this year, my friend. All right, well.

Speaker 1 (01:44:36):
We'll talk to you on Saturday, so just everybody knows
we'll be here. He and I would be here on
Saturday and Sunday. Then the following Sunday will be taking off.
I'll be on vacation. I'll be doing a lot of
content for Patreon subscribers and our general public, so it
will be sprinkling out throughout the week that I'm going
on vacation, and then next the following week week. But

(01:44:58):
potentially got a scheduling conflict with Tams, so We've got
some things to work out in the first of September,
but somehow, Timmy, we'll be here to get people through
the end of the season.

Speaker 3 (01:45:07):
Yeah, I said.

Speaker 2 (01:45:09):
We'll get our scheduling conflicts all in Oritor and be
back at her And to all of our listeners, hey,
we're down in the last five weeks. It's time to
throw the book out the window and do what you
got to do to get things done. I wish everybody
good fortunes down the stretch.

Speaker 1 (01:45:27):
Take care, tim you will
