Speaker 1 (00:21):
Greed's and salutations everyone. It's for twelve smalkingto Fantasy Baseball
Live today. Is it's what the first of September. We
have exactly a week less left in the regular season,
and it's I'm here as always with my good buddy
mister Tim McLeod and Tim do you believe it? I mean,
I literally just seems like yesterday that we were talking
(00:42):
about spring training.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Yeah, as I find as I've gotten older, the time
has a tendency to fly a little bit quicker. I
know it hasn't, but it just, yeah, it seems to
have flown quicker. And this year is no different than
last year and the year before. We're counting the days
to spring training and setting that first roster in our
(01:07):
drafts yet yeah yeah, and now we're getting ready to
say goodbye to five.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Now next spring training, isn't it the World Baseball Classic?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Uh? Yeah, I believe. I believe they've got something going correct.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I like that. I like the World Baseball Classic. It's
particularly last season the last four years. Ago trout against Show,
Hey what Tony was just wonderful. So I'm hoping we
have some moments like this next spring.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Well, I know it certainly elevates the game on a
global level in a big way. And that's that's a
real good thing. And the one thing that I'm you know,
I think we're going to see coming out of the
American side a little bit more of an effort and
(01:59):
more people will to partake in. I think Paul Skeens
has already said yeah, great, Yeah, I believe Paul Skeens
has committed. You know, if if the US side can
get some of the younger players and especially some of
the arms on board, it'll make for a much better
all around tournament because we know the Japanese and Korean
(02:23):
teams they'll have everybody there and yeah and going going
full bore. So again, the ratings were high. People enjoy it,
and I think it's something that is going to be
looked forward to the WBC on a regular basis. So
(02:44):
good for baseball.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
So, Timmy, let's let's swing our attention over to the
games that are playing. As we're recording a little early,
so games just getting going here and the Mets are
down three to nothing already. Who's pitching for the Mets, Ohmanaya.
So just never got it together after that hurt at
the beginning of the season. But the Mets are stumbling
(03:08):
into the playoffs here, tim.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Uh, yeah, they are. They are definitely definitely stumbling right now,
to say the least. And yeah, it's they got to
do something about the pitching, they really do.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
And I think it's going to be Tong and McClain.
I think those are your one two two one. I
mean Tong, I mean, I know you can't legitimately start
him in a fantasy league just because he's hit or missed,
but when he was on like he was Friday, that
guy's can be dominant.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah, I'm looking towards this. Uh. I was looking at
to start pitching, okay, and potential arms. And you know,
the metsa got David Peterson going next Sunday. If that
game means anything that, I think it's about time they
gave Cody Singa a good look. I think he might
(04:05):
help more than more than hurt based on, you know,
some of the options the Mets currently have. So, I mean, again,
it'll be interesting to see how they how they work
through this, but they're definitely them and the Detroit Tigers
are definitely backing their way in or attempting back.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
If they do so, I mean, I know it's not
a popular thing to say about the Mets, but I
like I think the Mets front office and develop pitching
developmental people are really sharp. I've talked to a lot
of them over the years, so I kind of trust them.
I know they've had a bad history, particularly when it
(04:50):
comes to injuries of you know, the guy's got to
hang down all of a sudden you find out his
arm is missing. I get that, but I kind of
trust him when they when they think that maybe Code
I Singa is not ready, maybe we should listen to them.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah. Man, all I know is right now they're one
game up up on the Reds and believe it or not,
two games up on the Diamondbacks.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Diamondbacks barely over five hundred two. But if the Mets
in today and again they're down three to nothing, doesn't
mean they're going to lose and the Reds win. It's
guess what. They're tied.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah, and the Diamondbacks could be a game. Oh, it
could be. It could be very interesting as we head
into this last five six games.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
The thing that has been shocking, it's not just the
Detroit Tigers hitting the skits. You're two and eighty over
the last ten. But it's the Cleveland Guardians. To mean,
they just they won a double hitter yesterday. They are
one game behind the Detroit Tigers. How does that end?
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Well, I think it ends based on the ner. Tuesday
is going to carry a lot of weight because Cleveland
and Detroit play this week and it looks yeah, they're
(06:11):
playing Tuesday through to Thursday. I believe they have Monday off.
Both both teams have Monday off. I think there's only
three games on Monday. But Detroit's playing Cleveland in a
three game set and they've got Trek Scooble slated to
go on Tuesday, so.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Scoobale could sit so twice this week if.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Necessary, twice if necessary. Yeah, And I think I think
the winner of that first game carries carries a fair
trunk of weight. But it's interesting because at the end
of the week, the Tigers are playing Boston, Wow, Cleveland,
(06:52):
Cleveland's playing Texas. Cleveland's at home. I think Detroit. If
I think if Detroit doesn't take two other three in
that Cleveland series, i think they're in big trouble.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
In Detroit because the Astros all of a sudden, the
Mariners have passed them, and it's pretty much a three
it's a two way tie with the Guardians and Astros.
But if the Guardians ever take the Tigers, like you're suggesting,
then one of the Tigers and Astros are not going
to make it.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Yeah, it's uh. I think it's gonna go down to
the at least Saturday, probably Sunday. It'll go down to
the end of the year, which is exae exciting for
exciting for fans. But you know, Detroit in the past
ten is two and eight, the Guardians are ten and oero.
There's your answer to the question as to what's happened. Yeah,
(07:46):
they've they've basically picked up eight games in the past week.
We can half.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Yeah, absolutely, and it's uh, I mean, I think if
the Tigers don't make it, they could there could be
some cleaning house with the managerial staff. Aj Nch could
be gone because you just can't collapse like that. You
just can't. I mean, I'm sure it's not his fault,
but this is the way it goes.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Well. Yeah, and yeah, somebody will pay a price for it. Actually,
I think if you look at it in the history
of the game, it might actually end up being one
of the more epic collapses that we've seen. It's got
to be up there.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, it's it's a shame because the Tigers are really
just in between because they've got the big three sitting
in double A, those young kids Max Clark and the
McGonagall and Osway Gersino, particularly mcgonagill. It feels like and
(08:49):
I just wrote this because I just finished up the
Tiger System yesterday. They published in about a month, and
I wrote that, I mean, I think mcgonagill could challenge
for that starting shortstop. I mean, hobby or bias still
produced a sub three hundred on base percentage, and I
know there was a lot of sentiment of how well
he played in a stretch in May and he's still
(09:10):
not very good tim.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
No it, hey, you look at he's have your bias. Okay.
We didn't see any great revelations there, and uh, you know,
labor tourists had a good year. Kerry Carpenters, Oki Riley
Greens had a great year. Spencer Spencer rhetoricals and bounced
back very very nicely. But you know, it's there's holes
(09:32):
there and when you get to the pitching.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
It's school. MI has been good but after school it
just you know, you just really can't trust anybody. I
mean Flaherty has been up and down all season long.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
He most certainly has. And your number four is Catern Montero.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yeah, he touched yesterday. I watched that game. He it
was batting practice against the who'd they play forgot who
they were playing? It was his batting practice. It was
not good.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
No, And you know Cole Keith is now is now
out with rib cage inflammation, and Matt Berling has been
gone for most of the year. And you look at
the pitching and you know Cobb, Jackson, Jove, Reese Olsen. Yeah,
there's a lot, a lot of hurt players on that
(10:23):
team right now. And again, hey give it, give it
up for the Guardians playing great baseball.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
And they've just got the pitching. You know, it's funny.
I mean, you see this Sesony pitching so well, remember
you said the Diamondbacks, It's like, is he going to
be any good? And then he moves to the to
the Guardians, and all of a sudden he's like a
number two starter. It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Yeah, Parker Mesic has done very well. Tanner By he
is actually he's woken up, you know, and the best Joe, Yeah,
Kevin Williams solid, Logan Allen pitched a good game yesterday.
If I'm no mistaken, it's yeah, it's and.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
I've been solid. He's been fantastic.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
And you look at the bullpen and Kate Smith has
stepped in for Mener Clause and done a great job.
He faltered for a bit there and I thought he
might lose the job to Hunter Gaddis. Didn't happen, but
Gaddis sitting in year eighth inning role has been solid. Yeah.
It's the only thing I find disappointing is the fact
that because of circumstances and maybe because they're Cleveland, they
(11:33):
didn't really they really didn't go after filling anything at
the deadline. And they could be better right now. I
know the record would disagree with me, but I think
as a team they could be better had they added
a few a few players at the deadline.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Yeah, all their pitchers are just over their head. I'm
looking at all their expected eras as good as Slate.
So Sony has been. I mean it's still got an
expected ERA of five forty seven, so these are and
Parker Messi's been fantastic, but even Gavin Williams, as good
as he's been is expect the eer A is still
sitting at four thirty seven because he's walking four and
(12:10):
a half or nine. So yeah, so they've hit a
streak where they've just gotten a little bit lucky here,
and that's what's making it so, I mean, it's fair
to say that they didn't add anything. And as we argued,
I took the counter argument to that couple of weeks ago,
and maybe maybe the Guardians are right, but boy, going
into the playoffs with basically Jose Ramirez and a bunch
(12:33):
of other guys and then pitchers that are all pitching
over their head, it doesn't feel good.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
So well, no, you look at their lineup. Okay, you
got Valera in the two spot, tile Manzardo is you know, legitifers.
Then you've got Bowe Nayler with his two thirty obp
or whatever run though, yeah on my bench where he'll
be until I can cut him. And the one keeper
I've got him. But Bo Naylor, Harrius and Angel Martinez
(13:03):
and cig gave Us and Bray and Rochio that does
not on paper at least, and still fear in the
hearts of man does it?
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Now? Can we talk about George Valaro though, because this
is a guy that I've written about forever and he
just has never been able to stay healthy and when
he was healthy wasn't very good. There's a ton of
talent there. With Nolan Jones going out, he's going to
get a chance to play. I know you didn't do
a formal waiver wire, but is this a guy that
(13:32):
you would try to pick up for the last week
he's available everywhere.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah, definitely. What you want to do is you want
to try and find players who are going to play.
George Valeria is going to play, and he's going to
hit at the top of the lineup. And even as
we're speaking, I've crossed him off my list.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
What do you mean cross them off your.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
List for the waiver wire? That will discuss a little
bit later.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Oh go gotcha?
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Okay, Yeah, yeah, I had I had him sitting there. Yeah. No,
you want players that are gonna play, and he's gonna play.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Okay, still still tell me he still hits the ball
really hard. Yeah, he's gonna strike out a lot, but
I mean there's a chance for power there. So I
went completely dismissing. So I'm supportive of him being on
your waiver wire.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Yeah. Again, what you're looking for is players that are
going to play, and he more than qualifies. Yeah. All
it takes on any given day or three. Okay, any
can anybody can look like a Hall of Fame Fame player.
All you need is too hot games and you could
find that putting you over the top. So you can't
ignore the opportunity you get it. At bat said that
(14:43):
that's a key in this last week, at least for
me when it comes to looking at makeups.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Okay, so let's let's summarize here. We've got two of
the three are going to get into the American League.
It's the Tigers, the Guardians and Astros. Who who is
out of the party?
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Oh Detroit?
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Wow? Heads are going to roll, right if because they
had the best record in baseball six weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yeah, you know, definitely, I agree Heads are going to roll.
You know, once you get by, like you said, those
two starting pitchers, it's one huge question mark and then
you go to the bullpen and you know, Kyle Finnigan's
just back coming off an injury. Will will Vest has
been if he had best over the past month or
(15:36):
so so their bullpen is her, it's you know, Cole
Keith out, you know another bat that could help him.
I think I think the Tigers are on a roll
in the wrong direction. And I barring you know, two
or the three against Cleveland in that first series of
(15:58):
the week, I just don't see it happening. Boston's gonna
be Boston's gonna be up for those games. They're looking
at you. It's facing a pretty good team that can
score some runs.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
And I mean Boston could still. I mean they're barely
in it as well. I guess I should throw them
into the mixes with early one game up from the
Guardians and Astros.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Yeah, it's yeah, as they sit right now. Yeah, they're
eighty five and seventy. They're tied with Tigers right now.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
So we two out of the four get and so
me throw Boston and there Tigers, Red Sox, Guardians, and Astros.
You're already saying that Tigers don't make it. Who else
doesn't make it in those four? But I guess no,
I'm assuming the other three would have to make it.
So if I include the Red Sox, do the Red
(16:46):
Sox make it or do the Tigers make it.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
I'm gonna go with the Red Sox.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Okay, So you're still sticking with the Tigers or the
or the team on the outside looking in.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Yeah, I'm I'm looking at the three teams from the
AL East Toronto, New York, and Boston Cleveland, and two
from the West Seattle and Houston.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Okay, So let's now go to the National League. So
we talked about the Mets, Reds and Arizona. I guess
we could throw them in. Who makes it out of
those three?
Speaker 2 (17:25):
How many teams are we looking at? Philadelphia's clinch?
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Everybody else? Everybody else is.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
San Diego.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
San Diego is still there are four games up, and
that's that's gonna yeah, that's gonna take a complete collapse.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
So I'm I'm gonna go with Arizona and the Mets
not making it and three teams from the NL Central
getting in there. I'm gonna go with the Reds.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
So the Reds get in. Well, I cannot believe that
the Mets are not going to get in. I just
with as good as season as Soto's having, am I
rooting for the Reds? I think I am, just because
you know they're the underdog, and I don't know. I'd
love to see Elliot la Cruz on the big stage.
I know he hasn't had a great second half. He
did it, hit a home run earlier this week, and
(18:16):
so I'm I'm with you. I'm rooting for the Reds,
but I do think the Mets make it.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Well. You look at the starting pitching. Okay, you got
Nolan McLain. Okay, you got Jon Tom and after that
you got Manaiah, David Peterson and Brandon Sprout. Okay, Sprot
is right now, Sprot's probably you're a number three guy.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Last time out, though I think it was Friday night,
he got beat up pretty well. But yeah, I know.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
But yeah, you take take a look at what David
Peterson has done recently. I know Sean and I is
pitching today. You're basically down to, in my opinion, Nolan
McLean and a whole bunch of prayers. That's I don't
think that's enough.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
I said this a couple of weeks ago. If I
were the Mets and I make it in, they'd be
my number one and number two starter. I would go
Nolan McClain followed by Jonah Than and I get the
best two arms. I got at the top of that
rotation and say screw it. I'm tired of this veteran nonsense.
Let's let's go with the best talent we have. And
they are the best pitchers on that team. They have
(19:22):
that pictures, They're the best talent on that team.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Yeah. No, they they got pitching problems, huge pitching problems.
And I don't think as good as McLean has been
and Tong has had his mown, I just don't think
they have enough starting pitching to counter the fact that
their offense is stacked. And it is. You look at
(19:46):
lin door season and one so p Lonzo's had a
good year. Brandon Nemo is a good ballplayer. Then you
throw the rest. You know, Cedric Mullens, Bret bady Van,
they're the Mexican score pilot runs. But how many are
they gonna They're gonna allow?
Speaker 1 (20:03):
As the question a lot, take a break, come back
and take a look at what's going on. More games
around in the American League and nationally. Atlanta Braves up
(20:24):
two to nothing on the Detroit Tigers.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
And Cleveland is up to nothing on the Twins. No,
that's not a surprise. No.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Yesterday I watched a game yesterday and it's funny they
got famous used to be really good player Buston and
Royce Lewis. But man, they that's a bad team, really bad.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Well, and you know you look at you know, you
look at it the pitching and yeah, hey Joe, Joe
Ryan is fine. Picture after that.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
He didn't picture up Papla. Lopez is back on the
I l so they say it's a luxor strain, but
there's nothing wrong with his elbow. And when I was
looking at fan tracks to see the status of it,
it says in the next expected game was February first.
I thought that was very depressing.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Yeah, yeah, we're at that, we're at we're at that
point in the season. But you know, yeah with Lopez, guy, Yeah,
Bailey Ober has been a huge disappointment, wildly inconsistent. Woods
Richardson and Matthews and Tash Bradley.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
It's may I may I opine on ZEBI Matthews. Yes,
you may think it's been terrible. I mean not just
losing four to five to three something. He's getting torched
and I don't get it. I mean, I think the
stuff looks pretty good. It's the command he just it's
(22:04):
his meat balls he's throwing up there, and I thought
he'd be a lot better than what he's been showing
out there. So for all you Dynasty League folks have
been holding on the Zebbe Matthews, I'm sorry, but I
looks like, at least early on, I've gotten it wrong
to him. It's just getting again, not pitching poorly, I
mean getting am miholated. Not good.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Well, no, and it's uh yeah. You go back to say,
August twenty second, he allowed four runs in four and
two thirds. They had a couple of good starts against
San Diego and the White Socks, he allowed two and
two earned runs one run, But in his past two
starts against the Angels he allowed five earned runs and
(22:46):
four and two thirds and nine earned runs against the Yankees. Know,
the Yankees have a good team, there's no doubting that.
But nine's an awful big number.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Yeah, he's got a six eighty eight. Ear a, it's
August eleventh, Yeah, it's not.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Yeah, No, you know in the last fourteen days, sixteen
forty three. That's even better, isn't it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
In the minor leagues, he never walked anybody. And he's
he's getting he's walking guys. I just I need to
dig into him in the offseason to find out, like
what went awry here, because it's it's been really bad.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Well, when you're sporting a two eighty seven whip in
the past fourteen days.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
That's like, no, you're going you're gonna see some runs
popping up, but lots of them.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Uh the Met's Mets squorter run, which is good. Pittsburgh
Pirates up four to nothing on the A's. Let's see
what's happening there. See who's doing the damage on the
Pittsburgh Pirates. Oh, Trivia. Oh, I've got him in the league.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah, go, there's a there's a drafting old league.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Now I got him. Now, I picked him up and
in one dynasty league, I was in fourth place at
the beginning of the week, and he's in't I've got
him starting I think in my middle infield or something.
When I just looked yesterday him in first place. So
I'm like doing a happy dance, Go go, go.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Go Trillio. Well, yeah, and Burrows is pitching for the
Pirates and he's allowed five hits in two and two
thirds and he's still throwing a shadows. There's a high
anticipated e r A coming, folks. When you look at
Burrows next week.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Oh that's pretty funny. Yeah, that's good stuff. Let's see
what else. Everything else is kind of just getting started here.
So the Yankees and the Yankees and Oordas, let's talk
a little bit about Oh, there's my buddy, Kyle Bradish
three and two thirds. It means one hit, one walk,
five strikeouts. I'm telling you, everybuddy, that guy looks really,
(24:46):
really good. But I'm going to give it up for
Cam Schlittler being one of the breakout pitchers here this season.
And I got a lot of Yankees minor league games
because all their minor league affiliates all around us. And
I didn't see Cam Schlittler pitch until the playoffs last season.
(25:07):
He was only I only pitched four or five games
in Double A prior to that. I just I just
missed him, you know, I just didn't go to those games.
And I, you know, I was really excited when he
was pitching the game and I was seen ninety seven
ninety eight miles an hour, and I'm going, who is
this guy?
Speaker 2 (25:22):
You know?
Speaker 1 (25:22):
And I remember I had the Yankees all written up
and he was not included in there, and I I
went back and redid all my rankings of the Yankees
and put him up there high because I was really impressed.
He doesn't have a great change up, but Tim, he's
been fantastic.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Well today. Three innings of one hit ball with five
strikeouts is the area in the season three twenty five. Yeah,
he's he's getting it done and the Yankees needed that
in a big way. That it really did. Uh So, hey,
good on, good on Cam Shit Shittler and Kyle British.
(26:01):
Four innings of one hit, one walk, six drago ball.
That's very impressive. I'm gonna have my fans hands full
when it comes to ranking next year, like I always do.
But we've seen some you know, these two pitchers are
perfect examples where you fit them into the big scheme
of things.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Well, I'm all in one, so I will say with
Schlittler's got an expected ERA four eighteen. He still doesn't
have a good He just does not throw a change
up at all, So I mean he doesn't have He
uses a sinker against glove side batters and it's only
thrown six percent of the time, so he's getting by
with a four steamer and a cut and a curveball.
(26:40):
Those are his primary pitches and I pitch. If we
took a look at his splits, they're not good. That's
that's my big concern about it. But it still doesn't matter.
He's been great this season.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. Those that picked him up off the
waiver wire no reason to complain at all, not a one.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Let's go to Baseball Reference. They have the best splits
out there, Cam Schlittler, Sitt Schlittler. So he might be
a sucker pitch pick next season. So let me just
uh give you my thoughts there.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
But if he's got the fastball, he's got a fastball, Yeah,
if he had an eighty eight mile an hour fastball, yeah,
that would yeah, that'd be a problem.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
So his uh, that's not the case. Yeah, I mean no,
I mean the left handers are just not hitting hitting
them though, So it's just really weird. So he's getting
he's actually pitching against left handers, so.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Obvious obviously those two breaking pitches he's throwing. Uh, he's
hitting his spots. Yeah, I guess they're being very effective.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Yeah, good on him. Stele Stewart has four home runs
in his first fourteen games. Yeah, if you've, if you've
everybody's read my material. I've always said that Sal Stewart
would eventually show power. He never did in the minor leagues.
I must admit I didn't see that getting promoted to
the big leagues and hitting four home runs in fourteen games.
(28:07):
But what is your expectation going in next season? Is
your full time guy?
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Well, I really I'm at this point in time, I
really don't know. Spencer Steer has three years of arbitration
coming up. Okay, the next three years are his arbitration
eligible years. And he had twenty one homers this year
and drove in seventy four. Okay, now they've got they've
(28:35):
got Gavin Lux who's currently sort of operating in the
in the DH slot. Do they do They move Lucks
and Steer goes into the DH rule. The outfield is
also crowded with some question marks.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
So Steer can play the outfield there.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Right, Well, he can play the outfield, but you don't
want him in the outfield, I don't believe, because then
that limits Noel v Marte. And again, is that a
situation you really want? In Cincinnati? I think what they've
got to do is move on from Gavin Lucks. That's
(29:13):
that's my train of thought, and then have then then
at least you've got an open slot. But you know,
I'm Austin Hayes. You got Will Benson, you got Marte?
Who else you got sitting in their home? Aguel and
Hard gets the audit bad. There's there's a lot, there's
a lot of most to feed. And yeah, Cabrian Hayes
(29:35):
is there until what col he is ready, which could
be real soon. Okay, there's going to be some change
in some flux in Cincinnati and right now, I just
don't know if they're prepared to cut Lucks. So they can,
you know, uh, get get the get get Steward in
for full time at bats.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
I think that's an easy answer for me. I mean,
Gavin Lucks is a singles hitter right, not providing any
damage at all. He's a great on bass guy, right,
like's the last I looked. So I've got him in
a league or two. So yeah, a three forty nine
on base, he's got five home runs and slugging three
sixty nine. I mean, yeah, it's the singles guy as
(30:15):
your D eight.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Really, but they they traded. They traded for him, I know. Yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Right right now, it's going to do a lot more
damage than than Gavin Lux is going to do.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
Well. Yeah, and I think Noel Vi Marte, who is
current on the bench, is going to do more damage
than Will Benson uh TJ Friedel. Okay, but again, I
don't know what the Reds are going to do. I
would like to see them find room for Marte and
Stuart you know, and hey by next year at mid May,
(30:53):
end of may have Collier up. Okay, hey, and and
the way you go. But will they take will they
cut Brian Hayes, will they move Gavin Lux under that role?
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Well, Cabrian Hayes is still I think he has signed
for a while, right because they just traded for him
at the deadline. I'm pretty sure Brian Hayes is. Somebody
told me there's it's apparently it's available on service time
in the eight years, seventy million dollars he's signed through
twenty twenty nine.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Okay, Well, there's a problem, isn't it.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yeah, he's a great defender, So I mean there's absolutely
no production. There's a three ten slug. I mean, I
don't even three ten slug with a two ninety one
on base percentage. I mean that's not a major league
baseball player, Timmy, that's a defensive guy.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
Well, yeah, they're Yeah, they're tied into there's a club
option in twenty thirty. They're tied in him to his
age thirty two through his age thirty two season. I
don't know what. I don't know what the Reds Reds
were thinking, sure with when they've got a kid like Colier, Okay,
who's not that far off, right, So I don't know
(32:05):
what the Reds are doing, but they better get it
together quickly or as time. We know, time flies. And yeah,
they're gonna they're gonna miss some opportunities, I think with
these young players, and hey, maybe maybe maybe Hayes can
bounce back, Maybe he can be who the Pirates thought
he No.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
I think I think we're I think we're done with
Brian Hayes. I've been I've been saying that for years,
and he just hits the ball hardy. All this data
looks good and he just thinks I'm done. I'm done.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Yeah, I'm done too with the problem we got to
answer is are the Reds done? Are they gonna eat
a contract. Hayes. This year's five homers forty eight RBIs
at two thirty eight batting averaging a two ninety one
oh BP. Yeah, I know, like, well why did they
Why does baseball player?
Speaker 1 (32:56):
You can't have a sub three hundred, You can't have
a sub three in one percentage in a sub or
a three hundred slug. I mean, it's just that's unacceptable.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
No, he's barely crawling over six hundred. He's six oh
two ops. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's yeah. So I think
to me, they they don't know what. I don't know
what the Reds are doing, but I don't like it.
How's that?
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Yeah, I mean it's it makes you wonder how in
the world they're going to make it into the playoffs
with this lineup.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Well, they're they're they're playing well, and the fact that
they've got you know, one hundred Green helps healthy hell
hundred Green and Lodolo Lttel Andrew Abbott saying the pitching.
Pitching's fine, but again, I don't know how they're going
to deal with the mess that is their offense. But
(33:50):
they've got some nice kids. Let's hope they don't waste
they don't waste service time playing around for too long
with some of the veterans.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Yeah, particularly the nice kid of Helie deal Cruz. I
don't know. I don't think Dela Cruz has he is
to sign a big contract, does he.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
I can I can check right now, But I know
they've got him down in the seventh spot.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Now he's he's in one year contract, he's signed.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
For medical Okay, yeah, I know they moved him down
into the seventh spot.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
Yeah, he's just yeah, I mean, look, this is this
is a guy, superstar. I mean, I think he says
having a bit of a tough, tough spell at the moment.
So I have no problem with Elie de la Cruz.
I I to me, you can't keep Sal Stewart down
with all these other guys we talked about him and
Carnosi on Strand is not the guy. I mean, he's
(34:41):
he's being shipped off. And I think Neville Marte. I
think they're gonna find a way to get Marte and
Stewart in the full time pieces next season. So guys
in early drafts, I know it's always dicey to get
these Cincinnati Reds because they're this time last year their
their roster was in flux. I think these two guys
can play.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
Yeah, I think so too. I just hope the Reds agree.
I got a decision to make on Marte. I can
protect him for fourteen dollars next year. That seems like
a very reasonable price, assuming he's a full time player,
right and now platooning with cab Cabrian Hayes, which would
or playing in the outfield platooning with Benson. Yeah, yeah,
(35:27):
I'm cringing at the mirror, thought rich it is.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
I tell you, Cabrian Hayes really screws it up there.
If they don't move him in the offseason, we get,
you know, the beginning of spring train and he's still there.
It's really gonna muck up stuff for these guys.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Well, big time, trade him to the Rockies. Go Retch.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Kaglian on Jack Kagly Known is an interesting stat line
so far this season. He had a seventh time run
in fifty six games, but he's only hitting one sixty
three with a one seventy six babit good strikeout rate
of twenty one point six percent. His bat speed ranks
in the ninety ninth percent tags of velocity ninety miles
(36:08):
an hour, which is great, sixty sixty, seventy percent percentile.
Is this a guy that interests you next season?
Speaker 2 (36:16):
Ah? Yes, and no, he interests me if the price
is right. Now. I don't think the price will be
right because I think somebody'll somebody will jump on that
twenty one point six strikeout rate and all the stats
you just listed, and he'll go a fair bit higher
than I'm willing to pay. So I probably will not
be looking at him on a pile of my team's
(36:36):
next year. I think he's just going to go too high.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Yeah, it's a shame because I hope they they don't
figure it out, because there it's shown he's getting he's
hitt into a lot of bad luck, so everything else
looks pretty interesting. I think is expected batting average is
much higher than that, so there's if he goes low enough,
it'd be a guy that I'd be very, very interested
in because I think there's massive power there.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Totally agree. I just think he's gonna go too high
for my liking.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Richard to me to take another break, get back and
let's talk about fantasy MVPs.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Yeah, fun topic, love it.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
Before we knew our fantasy vast Emmy. I have something
that it's gonna make you really jealous.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
You're seeing another artist that I would love to see
in concert live. Who will it be? Or is it?
Speaker 1 (37:41):
On Wednesday? We are seeing Steve Winwood.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Oh I hate you Rich, but wave that Dallas.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
I'm really really excited. Yeah, very very exciting. I saw
him years ago with Eric Clapton, which was amazing. We
saw him at Madison Square Garden. But Steve win Woods
play at our local theater here, so we're off to it.
So really good stuff. Yeah, yeah, very very good stuff.
These old guys, man, They're not going to play much longer,
so I'm trying to see as many as we can.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
Yeah, I don't blame you. And hopefully he does an
acoustic version. I Can't Find my Way Home. That's one
of my favorite songs. I love that song.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
He's not an acoustic you know. I've seen a bunch
of YouTube videos with him doing that acoustically and it's great.
I played it acoustically for my wife this morning because
she was like, I network see even Steve Windward. I
know I've heard some of his music, but what are
some of the songs I got the guitar, and I said,
you've heard this song before. As she goes sounds familiar,
I'm like, oh man, so yeah, right.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
I was going to say back in the back in
the High Life that if she'd know that one for sure.
Oh yeah, ton of radio play, but one of the
most talented musicians.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
On Oh yeah, it's such a guitar player too. I mean,
everybody knows the first piano and organ playing, but he's
a really good guitar player as well.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
Yeah, he is good for you. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
Yeah, we're really very excited. This will be the last
one on the for the fall, and then we got
a bunch planned for the for the first of the year,
so we'll talk about that come January. I think we're
gonna go maybe five or six. We we we broke
the budget on going all these concerts, so very very exciting.
So all right, Tim, Uh fantasy m vps. I've listed mine,
(39:23):
so I'm curious as to what you've got for some
of these guys.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
So we'll still we'll go position by position and let's.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
Go and Catcher you go first, Well, do you want
to do you want to take the obvious off the board.
When I saw your note I absolutely laughed out loud loud.
If you don't mention kel rally, we will do it together.
How about how about we give it a joint effort. Yeah,
I mean yeah, yeah, yeah, what can you say? He's
(39:51):
league MVP?
Speaker 1 (39:52):
I think so? I mean, I think, yeah, getting that
level of production from your catching position where you got him,
I mean, that's just if you're not placing in your league,
you did something really bad otherwise.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
So well, yeah, yeah, I think he's up to what
fifty five home runs? You can actually roster fifty seven? Okay,
fifty seven? Oh yeah, you can actually, I think he
just broke Griffy Seattle record. Yeah, you have fifty seven.
You can actually roster Bowen Naylor as your second in
catcher and still still in the catcher battle in an
(40:26):
amazing year for cal cal Relly. Hey, for those that
drafted him, congratulations, you're probably counting some cash in another week.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
I did not draft him anywhere. I remember when I
did my my targets, my draft targets, I considered him,
but I thought I thought that the value where he
was going fit kind of the profile. And somebody, one
of a patre I member said, hey, what about Kyle Riley, Like,
I think that's a good choice. But that was as
far as I went. I just missed on him. I
didn't I didn't grab him anywhere.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Tim, Yeah, I was more focused on William Contreras.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
I think I think it's his injuries caused the problems.
I think there's there's sneaky value going into next season.
By the way, next week, everyone for our our send
off show for the season, we're gonna talk, Tim and
I are gonna put someone ten to put your thinking
cap on five or so players that maybe you like
more going into draft season next year than everybody else.
(41:28):
So maybe five early sleepers. I've got one that I'm
really really excited about. But so be thinking about that.
That'll be on the that'll be on the on the
docket for next week.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I've always got players
I'm I'm in and of dynasty keeper leagues. You're always
looking to the future, right, yep.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
Hopefully I'll being up a Japanese player so I can
do these zero point zero And I appreciate everybody's comments
that I like. Again, I was tickled. I was so
tickled I had I put myself on you because I
was laughing so hard because I knew it was gonna
be really funny. I was playing a zero points there
because Tim was so serious and so sincere. But I
(42:09):
felt like that it's a thirteen year old in the
back of the room, like screwing with the professor. Screwing
with the teacher was so funny.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Well, yeah, I got I got some comments as well,
and it was pretty funny. Yeah, and Bob King Hi,
just to let you were drafting all those Japanese players. Yes,
for your comments, they're gonna be ours. I don't care
if I have to trade one, so do for them.
It's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
Okay, So who's your catch? Tim?
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Mike Catcher went off the board thirty second with an
ADP of four nineteen and with somebody that I liked
heading into the season after seeing him in Arizona last fall.
And I gotta go with Drake Baldwin.
Speaker 1 (42:51):
Oh yeah, that's fantastic.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
Yeah, seventy three RBI is a two seventy one batting average.
To those that picked him up early in the season
when he started getting the playing time, Drake Baldwin's had
a really good year. I was impressed last Fall and
I am more impressed today, Richard.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
I thought it was a great call by you. You
were all over him at the Fall League and he
performed extremely well. And he's going to get a lot
of votes for a Rookie of the Year as well.
But I think he might get beat by Augustine Ramiroz,
who is my guy ADP of four forty two, so
he got him off the waiver wire rank of one
sixty one, twenty one ho runs, twelve stolen basis. Yeah,
(43:34):
he's a catcher, so does he does. Never going to
hit very much to thirty two, but I mean I'll
take the twenty one home runs and twelve stolen basis.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
Come on, yeah, yeah, no, that is absolutely You know, hey,
we're looking at two waiver wire catchers. If you added
either one of those to whoever you happened to draft,
you were in really good, really good position. The other
player I want to give an honorable mention too, because
he's not that far behind these two guys, in my opinion,
is Ben Rice of the Yankees. Twenty three homers, fifty
(44:05):
seven RBIs another another catcher that was again off the
waiver war had great has had a great year and.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
I think had enough games played if you're playing in
the typical twenty games the previous season to come into
the next season being catcher eligible, which is a big thing. Okay, Timmy,
let's go to first base. So do you got Okay,
I took the easy one.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
So well, you took the easy one, and I'm going
with the same player. Rich I'm gonna I'll give an
honorable mention or a distant, distant second to Vinnie p
of the Royals. Okay, an ADP of one fifteen. He
(44:50):
was a thirteenth off the board, and you know he
did what he did last year, except he's played in September.
Thirty one homers, one hundred and seven RBIs to seventy
one batting average. So I'll list him under honorable mentions.
But there is only one first base.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
It's Nick Kurtz. I mean, yeah, four seventy four Adyps,
another waiverwear guy I drafted my draft and whole league.
Very excited about that. Thirty three home runs, eighty three runs,
eighty one RBI is two ninety three batting average. I mean,
what can you say to me, he's gonna get You'll
be the unanimous winner in the American League at least
(45:24):
he should be for Rookie of the Year.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
Yeah. And you know what, right now at first base,
he's second in home runs, only four behind Pete Alonso
in two hundred fewer at bats than Alonso. Okay, you
look at his His ops is a thousand on the nose.
His next closest is Pete Alonzo at eight seventy five. Yeah,
(45:52):
Kurt should garner some MVP votes in my opinion. He's
had that great of a start to his career.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
Wow. Well, oh, they do go ten deep, so there
is a possibility. So uh and the Rookie of the
Year line go through. I mean, I'm looking at his
Baseball sav on page. It's all read except he strikes
out too much. This is striking out thirty percent of
the time. But his eggs velocity is ninety two point
seven with a huge launch angle. It's just his swing
(46:20):
is made for hitting home runs. It's just the bottom line.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
And he's a big boy with a lot of leverage,
a lot of power. Yeah. Yeah, I would be disappointed
if he doesn't hit forty next year.
Speaker 1 (46:33):
Yeah. I mean, he's not going to hit two eighty
whatever he's hitting now to ninety one, it's going to
be two fifty two sixty. But he walks the lots
and on base percentage league is going to be just fine.
He just strikes out too much, and that could get
better as he you know, gets more. It's that pitch.
He's having trouble hitting breaking pitches, which he has expected
average against breaking pitches is two twelve. So you know,
(46:55):
thumba fastball and he destroys it.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
Yeah. Yeah, the fastballs down the heart of the plate
should disappear. You would think by now they should have disappeared.
But he's on another little rule right now. So hey,
an amazing year.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
So given his pensant to strike out and his incredible
ability to walk and hit home runs, it does feel
a little bit like the next Kyle Schwarber.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
Yes, it most certainly does. And would you be disappointed
if he was the next per se Kyle Schwarber. I know,
would I know?
Speaker 1 (47:37):
I mean, but I think it's just I don't think
the three hundred batting average that he should have, I'm
not sure that's going to stick. So I think when
you draft him, and because you have to get him early,
you just need to know. I would put in my
spreadsheet more of a two fifty because that's his expected
batting average. And just know that I might need to
get some batting average help along the way to work
(47:57):
with that, just like you have to do with the
Kyle Schwarber.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
Well, yeah, exactly. And if you're playing an OBP league.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
Be very to worry about it. Yeah, I'd be very happy. Yeah, Okay,
he's go to second base.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
Tim second base. Okay, here, here's where the training goes
off the tracks. For me, I looked at second base,
and other than your guy, I've I've got to go
with a member of the Chicago White Sox. Oh lord, yes,
uh Lenin Sosa.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
Oh yeah, he's been pretty good.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
An ADP of four fifty one. He was a fifty
third second baseman off the board in the spring. He
was he was picked up off the off the waiver wire.
But right now he has twenty one home runs, which
is good for fifth at second base. He's seventh in
RBIs with seventy one. He has a two to sixty
one batting average, which is probably a little high. But
(48:51):
when you look at what's happening with second base right now,
I think Lennon Sosa is deserving of some Lloyd's.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
I agree with you, he's and it's funny he's you
might get he might have the job coming into preseason
next year.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
Yeah, well, you know when you start looking at the
wrong number. If you can get two thirty two forty
out of him, I think he's going to hit twenty
one twenty to twenty five homers and drive in seventy
plus runs. That puts him a top five at second
base potentially. Yeah. It's second base is lean and your
guy is definitely someone.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
Yeah, I have the I have the advantage because I
write the notes up in the topics up and then
I give tim who I'm going to put down as well,
so you can either agree with me or come up
with somebody different. So I take all the obvious ones.
So I took Bryce ter Ring. Yeah, who I think
ADP of one thirty nine sixty seven ADP. And there's
a lot of pictures by the way, when I'm sorry,
(49:50):
when you took a look at the rank, there's a
lot of pictures in according to fan tracks that are
high on the list. But it's been eighteen home runs,
twenty four stolen bases, nine five runs scored, seventy six RBIs.
It's the eighteen home runs that's a little shocking. I mean,
it's just, uh, that's that's impressive.
Speaker 2 (50:09):
Yeah, he's a good, all round, solid player hitting at
the towards the top of the lineup. Yeah, I think
you're looking at a player that's going to be fifteen
to twenty, you know, seventy to eighty twenty plus stolen
bases and a pile of runs scored in a second base.
There aren't too many ahead of him on the list.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
It kind of makes you wonder, will they be anybody
head on the list from a draft ranking standpoint.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Well, Kato marte Is, Oh that's true. Yeah, yeah, I
know he missed some time this year, but he's he's
a great player.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
He's that's fair.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Probably probably number one off off the board.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
I would go, all right, I'm going to take the
next one going third base. I'm going with my buddy MIKEL.
Garcia ADP of two oh five, a rank of one, twelve,
sixteen home runs, twenty three stolen bases, seventy three runs,
seventy RBI is two eighty five batting average. He improved
his walk great. I told everybody the power was coming.
I think we're just starting to see the surface. I
(51:11):
think next year we see the twenty twenty and I
think you see the stolen bases start to dwindle and
the power continue to push up. This is a guy
that I think this season showed real growth as a
twenty four year old. It is exactly what you want
to see as somebody starts to put it together.
Speaker 2 (51:29):
Totally agree. I had him on three or four of
my teams this year. I do occasionally want Rachel, thank you,
thank you. Yeah. No, I like what I'm seeing in
a huge way.
Speaker 1 (51:43):
Yeah, who's your guy? Tim Well?
Speaker 2 (51:46):
I got I got two. I didn't know who you
pick because they're both monsters in there in the in
their own way. Eugenio Suarez with an ADP of one
to sixty. He was a fourteenth off the board, and
I always loaded down a little bit in the second half.
But he's still got forty seven homers, one hundred and
thirteen RBIs, eighty eight runs scored. He's currently at third base,
(52:08):
first in home runs, first in RBIs, and third in
runs scored. Okay, that's not too shabby. But Junior cam
and Aro Okay, who is sixth third baseman off the board.
He is second to Sworez in home runs RBIs and
has scored more runs. He's got forty four home runs,
(52:29):
one hundred and eight RBIs eight and nine run scored
as a twenty two year old. Wow, you know if
you look at cam and Aro and he's going to
be a monster. I believe for a long time, and
I think we also have to give credit where it's due.
Jose Ramirez has more than earned his fifth overall EIGHTYP
(52:51):
selection with thirty homers, forty stolen bases, a two eighty
two average, one hundred runs scored. Yeah, you didn't. It's
it's hard to claim that he's the m v P
because he was drifted drafted fifth overall, but you could
argue that when you look at the first round, he
is one of the truly great picks.
Speaker 1 (53:14):
I totally agree. I put won so as one of
my fantasy MVPs in the outfield. There are no rules
for this, but I sometimes picking the right guy in
the first round is important, So don't ever think it.
I mean, but my again, patron members, now with my
draft targets, I've been saying, don't feel bad about picking
Jose Ramirez. I know third base can get deep. So
(53:37):
what he's good until he's not, until he's not, keep drafting.
Speaker 2 (53:43):
Them, well exactly. Yeah, So we we saw some really
big numbers at the third base this year and I think, uh,
some of the some of them are going to be
sustained moving forward. Which yeah, he leaves me feeling awful excited.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
I want to go back to junior Cameronario, and I
think you're absolutely right. His age and how hard he
hits the ball. I mean, there's there's a you know,
I mean, I know we've seen some guys get into
the upper fifties. I think that's going to be Junior
cameran Aro. I think he's gonna have that level of
power where you're going to see him a top the
home run leader chart at some point in his career.
(54:23):
And it could be very well next season or twenty
twenty seven. So I think the power is here and
an on base percentage league tim though if you see
it's it's tough. I mean, he does. He likes to
swing the polls, so he doesn't walk very much at all.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
Is he a first round pick for you next year?
Speaker 1 (54:43):
In a batting average league? He might be probably back,
you know, kind of in that that same area that
I think of Vladd Junior, I Blad Junior is a
better hitter. I think Junior's got more power. Even though
Ladd hits the ball extremely, I already think Flad's looking to,
you know, kind of hit the ball sometimes and not
(55:05):
drive the ball, and Junior Camenaro is just looking to
hit the ball eight hundred feet. Yeah. So I mean
that's why I think there's gonna be probably more home
runs with Cameron Aro, even though Lad has the same
level of power. It's just they're just it's I think
Bladd's just a better complete player than Junior is at
his career. But yeah, I would feel if I went
(55:27):
Junior Cameron Aro, I'd have to make sure I go
back with a guy that can cover my batting average
and stolen bases with my second pick.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
Yeah, makes total sense.
Speaker 1 (55:37):
And maybe it's uh, I mean, I don't know who
would be at the back, but Francisco Lindor kind of guy,
you know he's using as that early in the second
round kind of kind of player. But somebody that can
help me with my stolen bases.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
So yeah, I know in my case, it won't be
Mookie Bets.
Speaker 1 (55:57):
I've only drafted Mookie Bets once in my life, and
he had a good season the year I drafted him,
and I still did terrible. I just there's just something
about Mookie Betts. He's just I know the numbers are there,
but somehow they just don't. They don't have the impact
of some of these other guys too. I don't know how.
I don't know any other way to say it.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
Yeah, totally agree, all.
Speaker 1 (56:21):
Right, give me your short stop.
Speaker 2 (56:23):
Oh my shortstop had an ADP at four thirty five.
He was forty Yeah, he was forty second off the board.
And right now he has nineteen homers in twenty six
stolen bases. He's leading all shortstops with ninety seven RBIs.
He's tied for third and run scored with ninety six,
(56:43):
and second in ops with an eight fifty three. And
that would be Heraldo Perdomo of the Eros. Is that crazy?
Speaker 1 (56:54):
There is? There's talk of he's going to get some
MVP votes. I've seen a couple of MLB articles recently,
and it's it's hard to dispute that. I don't think
he's gonna win. I think Wan Soto beats out show
Hey Tani, but that just might be me and one
SODA's had a ridiculous season.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
Yeah, and o TONI is, what's he up to now?
Fifty five home.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
Runs something like that. Yeah, yeah, maybe we should just
rename it called the show he Tani uh wart he retires,
but fantastic this year as well.
Speaker 2 (57:28):
Yeah, he has no doubt about it.
Speaker 1 (57:29):
But uhmo's been crazy. I mean that's just crazy.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
Well yeah, if you look at where he is in
relationship to his peers, and I knew he was having
a good year, but until I started looking at each
line in each category, like he's other than the fact
he's only got nineteen home runs in twenty six six
six tolen vases, every other category is top three. And
(57:56):
that's like you said, crazy, who who you got it? Shorts?
You got a guy that I have for eight dollars
next year and I'm hoping he stays healthy.
Speaker 1 (58:05):
So but before we get off Perdomo, I mean, I
know it's a fantasy show, so everybody soccer fantasy. But
when you include his defensive skills, that's why they paid him.
That's why they paid him all the money. They saw
the upside switch hitter with great defense, and it's like
Jordan Lawler who.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
And yeah, Jordan Lawler should give up on his dream
of being in everyday shortstop just based on Perdomo's defense.
Speaker 1 (58:35):
Yeah, I mean Perdomo still doesn't hit the ball that hard.
It's hard to believe the nineteen home runs are real,
But I mean that guy can hit, and yes, forty five,
he's forty fifth percentile on speed. So I don't think
it's nineteen twenty six next year. I think it's probably
more ten fifteen next year, something like that. That's what
(58:59):
I would that one.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
But I think, yeah, I was picking a if I
was picking a range right now, I would pick ten
to fifteen in home runs, and I would pick uh,
probably fifteen fifteen to twenty in the stolen bases. Definitely,
i'd be moving those two numbers down. But the RBI
should be strong. It's a good team, and if he's
(59:21):
sitting at the top of that lineup, he's going to
score a run. So yeah, I would.
Speaker 1 (59:26):
Be careful everybody with us. I hear the great temcloud.
I'm just looking at the data. He's not that fast,
so and he's going to be a year older next season.
He's getting a little bit bigger, just because as they
get older, they get bigger, So I think twenty might
be a stretch. I'd feel better at fifteen. I feel
more like ten to twelve on runs, fifteen sol bases.
Just his batsweets in the seventh percentile is hard hit
(59:49):
rates are the eleventh percentile, so it just doesn't hit
that ball. It's eighty seven point five eggsit velocity. So
just good player, great seas and deserves all the accolades.
Totally agree with Tim. Be careful next season. It feels
it smells. It feels like a warning danger. Will Robinson
kind of moment for me.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Yeah, I get it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
Trevor's story is my guy, and I forgot how you
were saying, was oh, cal Riley might be the league MVP.
Trevor story is not far behind him. A two fifty
three ADP of rank of thirty twenty five on runs,
thirty one stolen bases, at two sixty five batting average
in eighty eight runs, ninety four RBIs I have him
in two leagues? I mean it was dumb luck. I
(01:00:34):
mean I just I needed a shortstop. It was a
Dynasty League startup and he was there. I'm like, all right,
I'll take Trevor's story and wait till my young guys
are ready, and it's been a godsend.
Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
Yeah. I did the same thing he was going back
in the XFL. I made a fairly big trade early
in the season, and he was a toss in at
three bucks. I've got him for eight dollars next year.
I gotta protect it feels like a sucker move, okay,
but at eight dollars. Yeah, he was a throw in
in a trade that I made back in April, and
(01:01:08):
it was the best throw in I have ever ever
stumbled into.
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Yeah, I mean, it is about injuries, as you're right, health,
I mean, and there's no there's no way to predict that.
I mean, history would say he's got to get hurt
next season. But I mean for eight bucks, I'm assuming
on a two sixty budget, you got to keep them
so well.
Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
Yeah, yeah, no hesitation one that worked out very well
for me and very well for you as well. Good stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:01:36):
Yeah, Sometimes it's it's better to be lucky than good, right, Ye.
Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
It definitely comes into play in this crazy game that
we let's let's.
Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
Take a quick break and come back and let's do
outfield and pitching me out as you said with Jose Ramirez,
sometimes you just gotta take the guy. And Juan Soto
(01:02:07):
has been ridiculous. He's ranked number two overall. I think
the number one player according to fan tracks might be
Garrett Crochet if I've recall maybe it's maybe it's Trek Schouble.
It's one of the pictures anyway, forty two home runs,
thirty four sol on bases, one hundred and seventeen runs,
one one hundred and three RBIs. And I know the
(01:02:27):
batting average isn't great, but there's a three ninety nine
on base percentage. It's been it's been unbelievably good.
Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
Yes, it has. And met fans don't complain. Live with the.
Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
Defense, yeah, I mean yeah, he's he's turned out to
be terrible. The outfit. I mean, I've seen just sometimes
it just does he just waves at the ball. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
who's your guy?
Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
But uh, I went I went to I went with
some deeper picks that have have shown some great potential,
and I believe have other than my first guy, I
have growth potential. I got to list Byron Buckston. Ok,
(01:03:16):
I got to you know, I've often said one day
he'd have agreed, you know, one season. You have a
great year and I wouldn't have any shriffs. Congratulations, thanks
for making that prophecy come through to fulfillment.
Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
Brian Buckster, but he's a do not draft guy, right,
No change there?
Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
Well yeah, yeah, thirty one seventy six, ninety one runs, score,
twenty four stole in vasis two sixty six batting average.
Congratulations Byron Buxton. You were the fifty fifth off the
board and your numbers are top ten and it had
to happen someday and say, Levie, this was a year, this.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
One I don't understand. George Springer fifty eighth ranked player,
thirty on run, sixteen stolen base. This is one hundred
and one run seventy nine RBIs I mean, I mean,
I know, I know Vlad Junior is the star on
that team, but George Springer has been the best player
on the Toronto Blue Jayson season.
Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
Yeah, with od Doode and the second half, it's just
everything he runs into is leaving the park and it's
it's hit hard, and uh, the enthusiasm. There's only one
player with more enthusiasm on that team right now, and
that's Flad Junior. And he always He's always that way.
But Springer has had an amazing season. He really has
(01:04:34):
for for what was heading into the year basically a
four or five type boatfielder.
Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Yeah, you spent great. I was checking maybe it was
his walk here, but it's not. He signed through next season.
So a guy, great season. Good for the Blue Jayson
good on George Springer? Who you got?
Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
Okay, I'm going to the Dodgers with this wasn't And
I'm looking at that no fielders eighty fourth off the
board with an eightyp of three to ninety two, twenty
five homers, eighty two RBIs, fourteen stolen bases to seventy
eight banning average, all really strong numbers. And that's Andy
Paget of the Good Cover.
Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
Good call. That's a great I mean, any Paget has
been really good. Is let's tick a look. Shall we
look at his data real quick to see if it's real?
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
Sure, because he's struggled here in a bit in the
second half.
Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
Yeah, he's got his counting numbers aren't as strong, but
he hasn't really either. I think it's more ill fortune
than anything in the second half because he's still holding
that banning average, making contact I see a lot of
one for threes, two for Ford, sort of the days
with no counting stats.
Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
But yeah, it's great, great defender, first of all, I
mean really good defender. There heard hit rates aren't great.
Twenty three percent of average EGX velocity is below ninety
miles an hour, so it's eighty eight point six huge
launch angle saw a lot of his hour. It's just
because he's yoking everything, deadpool hitter everything is. All of
his home runs are dropped down the line or just
(01:06:08):
off of it, and he never walks.
Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
So so other than that, it's good.
Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
I think there's some It's expected batting average is two sixty,
so that's kind of holding in there. But I mean,
I think there's some some there's some worries there. Tim.
Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
Yeah, you might want to draft him as your third
old fielder, try and get him as your third old
fielder as compared to a number two. Shift him down
a little bit in the pecking order.
Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
It just doesn't hit the ball as hard as I
thought he did, so, but that's disappointing. And the fact
that four of the time is walking four point seven,
Come on, that's not enough. That's not enough. Well, that's
not enough. But hey, we're talking about this season. He
was great, and I have him and I have my
(01:07:00):
third guy, Tyler Soderstrom, both on a dynasty league, and
I quite frankly, unless unless I have an epic collapse,
I run away with that league. It's just been ridiculous.
And these guys I might have Soda on that team
as well. So, but it's been Pi Hayes and Tyler
Soderstrom that have just you know, they came out of nowhere.
(01:07:21):
And what's funny is soda Strom got off to that,
to that really good start. Remember that how good he was. Yeah,
I've got so many of these stupid dynasty leagues. I'm
thinking I think I got Tyler Soderstrom. Did I Did
I trade him or something? Because I don't see any
counting stats. He was sitting in my minor leagues. I
didn't even have a man for the first like three weeks.
(01:07:44):
I got too many leagues. I can't even keep tracking
these guys. But again, ADP of two to eighty, rank
of one, twenty six, twenty four home runs, eight stolen bases,
ninety RBI, seventy two runs, two seventy seven. Look, there's
guys that have had better seasons than that. But when
you draft him as a fourth out fielder and he
turns out to be a number two outfielder, I mean,
come on.
Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
Yeah, and he hasn't Kurtz hasn't diminished his Yeah, if
there was motivation required, it was all very good for
Tyler Soderstrom. This.
Speaker 1 (01:08:16):
Yeah, now we've got Tyler Soderstrom probably next year as well,
first base and outfield eligible.
Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
Nice, nice, Or here's your third guy.
Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Okay, My my third guy is a guy that I
liked heading into the season and I still like him.
I'm protecting him at six bucks. In the XFL, he
had an EIGHTP of three eighty five. It was a
ninety fifth outfielder of the board, twelve homer, sixty two RBIs,
seventy five runs scored, nineteen stolen bases, three fifteen nine
OBP two ninety four batting average, and I think he's
(01:08:48):
going to be a fixture at the top of the
Milwaukee Brewers lineup for a long time. And that's self really.
Speaker 1 (01:08:54):
Yeah, Southrelink's been very good. I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
Yeah, he's not great. But if you're looking for a fourth,
fifth oatfielder this year, the twelve homers. You know, nineteen
stolen base is good betting average, OBP and the run
score a product of his place in the lineup, he's been,
I believe, a very very solid if not, you know,
(01:09:19):
he's not spectacular, but he's been a solid player relative
to his draft slot.
Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
All right, let's move to pitching. Tim try to pick
up a case here. Because I got to finish up
in about fifteen minutes. We still got to get to
your pickups. I have Max Freed is my first guy,
ranked nine. He's been fantastic, hundred and eighty two strikeouts
in a two ninety two era A. My second guy
is Hunter Brown fifteenth rank and ADP of one to eleven,
also really good, only twelve wins with Max Freed with
(01:09:48):
eighteen wins, two hundred strikeouts though you love that. And
the third one is I was able to pick this
guy up in a bunch of leagues. People gave up
on them. I had given up on them. ADP of
four eighty, rank of forty seven. And even though it's
only one hundred and six point one hundred and six
and two thirds endings, he's got nine wins, one hundred
strikeouts in a spectacular one thirty five. Ear a, mister
(01:10:09):
Trevor Rogers.
Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
Yeah, I'm frying up some crow on that one because
I gotta be eating it. Yeah, you can't argue with
with with Fried and Brown and Rodgers showing us to
be very wrong in our assessment of that trade with Miami.
So hey, good on the OS.
Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
I think really good on the Orioles here, because that
show that their metrics are now working with these pitchers.
And I think that that Portel's foretells some some good
things happening in that organization because they were laughed at
by everybody. People thought it was his most idiotic trade
when it just did not work and they got the
last laugh. They got a really good player.
Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
That they did. He who laughs last, always laughs.
Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
Best, something like that. All right, who are your three? Then?
Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
Okay, I got four, but I'm gonna go real quick.
I focused on the mid tiers. Okay, Freddy Peralta with
an ADP of one twelve forty three off the board.
He's got a club auction next year, and the brewer's
gotta be happy. He leaves the NL and wins with
seventeen three more than Sunny Gray jezus Lozarro Logan Webin,
Bridy Singer fifth and e ar H two sixty five
(01:11:20):
eleventh in K's one O seven whips, so Freddy Barlta
would be one. Christopher Sanchez fifty eighth off the board
thirteen wins to go along with the two sixty six
year ra which is six best in the NL one
hundred ninety eight K's eighth best. An interesting stat in
thirty starts this year, he has twenty one quality starts
(01:11:42):
and of the nine start didn't qualify as quality starts,
four were in his first six starts of the year.
We're gonna move to the al with Brian Wu from
Seattle ADP of one two forty ninth off the board.
All three of these pitchers were in the U in
the two three four h slots at midyear. But will
(01:12:07):
fifteen wins to go along with two ninety four one
hundred ninet eighty strike. It's a point ninety three whip.
Is he the Mariners ace? I think he could be
and last, but not least. I've got him to mention
this guy because he was one hundred and twentietho off
the board with an ADP of three twenty and the
last time he broke one hundred innings pitched. It was
twenty nineteen. This year three twenty year are one eleven.
(01:12:30):
We have one hundred for twe K's and the Cubs
are very very happy to have Matthew Boyd on a
two year deal and have them locked up for next year.
There's my four Richmond.
Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
Those are really good. I particularly like the Matthew Boyd
stuff because I mean he was pretty much forgotten about
in most leagues, and I think forgotten about in baseball. Well,
he needed with some.
Speaker 2 (01:12:49):
Health, Yeah, that's all. He needed, something that he didn't have.
What do you think about Brian wu Is he the
Mariners ace.
Speaker 1 (01:12:59):
I I've always thought he'd had the potential. I mean,
the data looks great on the stuff. He was another
one of my draft targets. I've always been worried about
the health. I mean, he's got a walky elbow. I
think he's got either a partially torn UCL so I've
kind of just been waiting for his arm to fall
off and it hasn't.
Speaker 2 (01:13:17):
So, yeah, he's dealing with a peck issue right now,
but it's not arm. So that's good news.
Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
Uh yeah, I mean it's it's hard to say who
that Who the ace is there? I don't think it's
Luis Steele anymore, but George Kirby when he's on is
really good. Logan Gilbert's been up and down a little
bit this season, but that's a team again. You do
not want to face the Seattle Mariners at all in
a in a playoff series, particularly a short playoff series. Yeah,
(01:13:43):
totally agree to me to take a final break, get back,
and Tim's gonna tell us who's picking up m pirates? Nothing,
(01:14:06):
My buddy Trilio's two for three with a home run
three RBIs, Go, go go. It's all about me, Tim.
Speaker 2 (01:14:13):
Well, it's got to be at this stage of the season.
Speaker 1 (01:14:20):
Come on, Bobby Witt, do something. You know who's been
really good as Carter Jensen young catcher that the Kansas
City's got another hit with two RBIs today. I think it.
He never three hundred the last I looked. Uh So,
the Jays are up three to two. Savages, you know,
(01:14:41):
pitching pretty well again four innings two to or round
two's pitching for the Royals. Walka Wauka's had a good season. Two.
That's that's another guy that's we could have included as well.
There's so many guys we could have included Detroit losing
three to nothing in the seventh and in the Cleveland
Guardians up two to one in the fifth. Come on, guards.
Speaker 2 (01:15:04):
Just a heads up for those that have Jose Burrios
roster as a rumor he might be going into the bullpen.
Speaker 1 (01:15:13):
Yeah I heard that too.
Speaker 2 (01:15:15):
Yeah, yeah, So take that into your plans when you're
looking at setting lineups, especially if you're setting them for
the full seven days. If you have an option, it
might be worth exploring it.
Speaker 1 (01:15:25):
Rich All right, Timmy, how many guys you got that
you're gonna tell us about to pick up?
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
I got a whole slew of them here, but I'm
not going to dwell on them for any length of time.
We talked about we're gonna go hitters first. I take it.
Is that okay with you?
Speaker 1 (01:15:40):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
Okay? I mentioned Blaine, Krim and Dale and Lyle on Friday.
What was that Cole of the Astros? Okay, it looks
like it looks like he's got some playing time coming. George.
Speaker 1 (01:15:54):
I like that call. I think he's ranked my number
five or something in that system.
Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
Yeah, well he's up and it's happening, and you know
we discussed George Valeria a little bit earlier. Here's one
for you. And I never thought I would say shortstop
when it came to Thomas Segacy. But here we are,
and over the last fourteen days a home run, six
RBI sevener and score three thirty three batting average, and
(01:16:21):
Mason Wynn is not coming back to the spring. I'll
throw Rehys Hoskins out there.
Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
Hold over a second. So Segacy always likes Segacy a lot,
I'm not sure he's a shortstop shot, and I would
like maybe justin out there, send me a post out
on Patreon. Why did JJ Weatherholt not get a shot?
I don't understand that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
Yeah, I yeah, he pits somebody off. I think that's
a thing that makes sense to me.
Speaker 1 (01:16:54):
Unless they're trying to hold back. Is maybe they're playing
the old school seven year of team control or something.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
But Jane, haven't they like we're in We're not in
twenty ten. We're in twenty twenty five going into twenty six, right.
Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
And look there's a chance that he could win Rookie
of the Year top three, and then all of a
sudden that the Cardinals get an extra draft pick, that's
what you want.
Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
But they could have given him two weeks of playing
time and had that same opportunity.
Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
Correct, Yeah, they could have get him up when Sam
Pasiona came up, same kind of thing. It made his sense.
Speaker 2 (01:17:29):
Yeah, yeah, I keep going. Reece Hoskins Brewers have clinched.
I think he's gonna get some at bats in the
second half of the week. Connor Norby of the Marlins.
He's back in healthy. Connor Norby's gonna play this week
and he's probably available available in a lot of leagues.
Moyses Bellisteros of the Cubs.
Speaker 1 (01:17:48):
Again, he's been very good.
Speaker 2 (01:17:50):
Tim Yeah, but I think the key is you've got
to search out players that should find their way into
a bats because there are teams that have clinched. They're
gonna rest regulars, their teams in the middle of a
playoff race that are gonna use everything. They're gonna throw
everything at the wall they pass possibly can. So I
think it's real important search out players that should find
(01:18:14):
their way into a bats this week in reed draft leagues. Hey,
you're not married to any of these guys. You want
to win a title. If you get somebody that gets
an extra ten at bats. That might be two hits,
it might be three RBI's, and it could make a difference.
So that that's my advice on the batters this.
Speaker 1 (01:18:29):
Week, Richard, good stuff are you got for pitching?
Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
Well? We mentioned h Connelly early and Christian Haveer on Friday.
H Michael greevy roster to the two to thirty one percent.
He's got Justin Burlander and Jamison tie on both on
the road. His past two starts have been really good.
The Cubs aren't gonna have any of the game, will
tie on even pitch. Okay, so I.
Speaker 1 (01:18:57):
Has been pretty darn good.
Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
Yeahsically, Yeah, he's looking at I heard he's looking at
a five year deal and you know extension in the hes.
Speaker 1 (01:19:12):
Got a rubber arm. I mean, I mean, it's it's
he's he's been really good. I've got him on a
bunch of leagues and I at first I wasn't starting
him and then I did, and it's like it's been
really good.
Speaker 2 (01:19:25):
I agree. Uh So. Michael McGreevey is one h Ryan
Weathers roster. He's got two starts this week. One is
against Christopher Sanchez. Okay, in the Phillies Sanchez will go
five innings max. Even he might not even go five innings.
The Phillies have clinched, Okay, so don't count If you're
(01:19:46):
in the quality start league, don't count on Christopher Sanchez
this week. Okay. They want him rested for the playoffs
and his second start. Whether second start is at home
against the Mets and tended to league David Okay, the
leash is going to be incredibly short for Peterson. He's
allowed twenty one earned runs in his past four starts.
(01:20:08):
Give me Ryan Weathers over David Peterson any day of
the week.
Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
Look, I'm a big Ryan Weathers fan. He's been hurt
a lot this season, so there's no reason for him
not to pitch as long as he can. So I
like that call a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
Yeah, and again, if you're looking at overall, when you're
looking at pitching contending James, if they clinch before Saturday Sunday,
starting pitching plans are going to change in a hurry. Okay.
You could see a lot of bullpen games coming up
in the second half. If you've got if you've got
twice weekly moves on your pitching, be prepared to look
(01:20:47):
at options for the weekend. I think you simply have to.
And if you're playing in Yahoo ESPN leagues that have
maximum innings pitch, don't forget the old load up on
starting pitchers if you need it for that last day,
because the numbers don't quit rolling until after you go over,
so you can go over by however many starts you want,
(01:21:10):
just remembering that the day you go over, that's when
it ceases. So again, it's just a little glitch in
both systems, but everybody should take that into consideration when
looking at your pitching for that last weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:21:22):
Great stuff Tim Samtasi, by the way, with his fourth
arm run of the season, So guys, guy's going to
be We're talking about him in the light of junior
Cameron Arrow and these guys are just massive power.
Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
So yeah, it's nice to see and it's nice to
see Baltimore getting him some work in before he goes
full born next spring.
Speaker 1 (01:21:46):
It's gonna ye St. Louis Cardinals. That's what you're supposed
to do.
Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
Yes, yeah, remember that the next time you have a
prospect and you do have some that, yeah, it might
it might be good to see JJ weatherhold before June
of next year.
Speaker 1 (01:22:01):
For sure, all right, Timmy, that is a rap great show.
I think you provided a lot more names than I
thought you were gonna have. That was fantastic, well done.
Speaker 2 (01:22:11):
I thank you Rich. I did some digging and I
spent some time, and I gave it the old College
E for effort. And you know I again, we're at
this stage the season where if you need something, just
go get it, just get it done. And I've seen
some in some of the leagues I'm in. I've seen
people in D five we've been five bucks on a player, okay,
(01:22:37):
and things.
Speaker 1 (01:22:38):
Are working out.
Speaker 2 (01:22:38):
Somebody bid four it's got a pile of fab what
you've been in four bucks for. I'm sorry to be
hypercritical here and I'm not going to mention any names.
But if you want somebody you're not there's no rebate
at the end of the year on your fab. Spend
it all. If you want somebody to go, get them
paid for it. Who cares what the bidding amount is.
If it makes a difference to your chances to win,
(01:22:59):
just spend it. Do it.
Speaker 1 (01:23:01):
Sage advice, Timmy Sage advice. So I want to wish
everybody a great last week of the season. Those of
you that are pushing for championships or just being in
the money. Put everything he got into it for the
last week, win a championship. If you do share with
us those championships and how you made out, that would
be fantastic. Tim and I will be back not on Friday.
So we had our last Friday show last week. We're
(01:23:23):
now switching just to Sundays, but we will be back
on Sunday, Timmy to wrap this puppy up.
Speaker 2 (01:23:30):
Yes, And are we gonna start a little bit later
next Sunday or a boat on time? So we can
do because all the games start at three, don't they,
or something along those lines.
Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
They started three, we can we can. Well, maybe we'll
start a little bit later if there's some there's races. Yeah,
if they're all decided, then we'll just then we'll.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Just come on, just mail it in, right.
Speaker 1 (01:23:54):
This will mail it in. Yeah, So hopefully there will
be something to talk about as opposed to, you know,
the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Miami Marlins. That won't be
very excited to discuss.
Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
So no, and any game Colorado plays falls into that
same category.
Speaker 1 (01:24:12):
Hey, at least at least Colorado is going to win
more games than the White Sox did last season. Did
look good mid season, but they played better in the
second half. So good on that.
Speaker 2 (01:24:22):
Not the worst team, Lenon Lennon Sosa, Baby, that's where
it's at.
Speaker 1 (01:24:26):
There you go, Timmy, what's real quick? What's what what
you having for dinner?
Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
I haven't a clue. We were on the road until
Thursday night. I worked Friday Saturday. I'm going to roach
through the fridge. Anything I think still has life in it,
has got it, got a fifty to fifty chance. I
have no idea, Rich, I can't help you there. It's
not this.
Speaker 1 (01:24:45):
We are heading off to my daughter's home and she's
we're having pizza, So we're bringing the salad, she's got
the pizza. And uh that's where I said, a little
little simple dinner, just to hang out with them for
a while, and uh, it should be a lot of
fun looking forward to.
Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
Yeah, sounds like it'll be a great time, Rich.
Speaker 1 (01:25:05):
And be well, good luck everybody with your teams.
Speaker 2 (01:25:08):
Safe uh safe? Uh yeah, be safely well, ye be saved.
Speaker 1 (01:25:16):
Be safely well.
Speaker 2 (01:25:17):
Watch that watch that pizza cutter. They can't be to
be dangerous. And good good luck to everybody. This coming week,
and again, as Rich mentioned, let's let us know how
things work out. I'm always curious to find uh find
o tower our listeners have have done. Come into the year,
and good luck to everyone. Uh catch a Sunday, Rich,
