Speaker 1 (00:20):
Green, you takes us everyone to church twelves and looking
to Fantasy Baseball Live. Today is May fourth, one day
from Sinco de Mayo, Tim Sinko, you celebrate sinkle to
Mayo up there?
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Uh Cinco de Mayo.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
No, I I don't, but I'm I'm guessing I should
be eating tacos.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
That day is tacos and uh yeah, I think it's
a lot of drinking, so that would be like, uh,
what's what's the thing where they put the salt on
the rim tequila? Oh, margarita and yeah, there you go.
So it's it's pretty big. It's in fact, and if
Ciccu Demayo is on not on Mondays at minor league stadiums,
(01:04):
I go to. That's it's a big deal. I think
they also celebrated at major league stadiums with giveaways and
stuff like that. So that's cool. So happy Cinco de
Mayo day or eve of Cinco.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Demayo and back at your ridge.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Okay, now that we've got that covered, Timmy, how are you?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Not too bad?
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Not too bad?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
I earned my keeth this week. The waiver wire was
a big of a struggle. There were some obvious names, but.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
I had to. I had to do some digging.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
I thought it was actually fairly comprehensive list. I was
actually relatively impressed and realized there were that many names
out there, but you're able to find them.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
I started with four and gradually sort of spread out
from there, and there's two or three that that I
didn't include, But yeah, it was it was just a
matter of searching and searching and searching and going through
some of the team moves and trying to anticipate with
(02:04):
some of the team moves we're going to be and
you know, as we get into our introductory, our first questions,
we're pretty much on the same page as far as
some of them, which is I find always fascinating.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah, I mean, so what we'll get into does in
a few minutes. But I've got the games up and
out of the court. We had the Oriole game on
here in the house, which you usually do, very proud
of that, and I saw my buddy Michael Garcia hit
a home run, So well done there. I know my
fantasy things appreciated it because I haven't in most leagues.
(02:42):
So yeah, yeah, so it's the third arm run of
the season, So what three more whole eclipse last year
something like that.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah, something, it's getting close, you know. It is real
interesting though, is our friend mister holiday with a couple
in Baltimore. That's always nice too.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, solo shots, come on, put somebody.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
On base man, exactly, Come on, Mount Castle, take a
walk you bumm?
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Yeah, exactly. So I know I know that Kobe Mayo
is in your waiver war so, but let's just talk
about him now if you don't mind, Because this is
a guy that has been a top prospect for a
long time. We know he's got prodigious power. Plays well
when he was in Triple A. He comes up to
the major leagues and he lays an egg and he
(03:28):
gets sent back to Triple A. Any thoughts this time.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Well he's over to today? Does that mean anything?
Speaker 1 (03:36):
I don't know. I think he was over three. This
is what happens, though. It just seems like he stumbles
in the first four or five games and then AT's
see you later.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Well, I'm not exactly sure how long it's going to
be before we see uh the two walking wounded back
back in action. But I'm hoping he gets a decent
number of a bats to prove himself. But I mean
at some point in time, he's got to hit, right. Yeah,
(04:11):
he's back, as simple as that, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
I mean it doesn't get.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yeah, you can hit fifty home runs a triple a, okay,
but that don't do you no good if you go
over one hundred at the big league level. You know
what I mean, it's yeah, it becomes a problem. Man,
he's got hit.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, know, we talk about it all the time. To me,
we can we can analyze it every kind of which
way you want. We get throw out statistics with the
best of them, but in the end, you gotta hit that.
Just let's the bottom line.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Yeah, it doesn't matter how much potential you have, how
much prestigious power, how many moonshots have landed in the
parking lot and Jacksonville or wherever.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yeah, you got to hit at the big league.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Level North Norfolk.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Yeah that's yeah, Okay, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Showing showing my smugness of knowing where minor league teams play.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
So I was going to say, you probably has spent
more time in that in some of these barks and
season ticket holders.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah I have not Norfolk, but but I've been there
a couple of times. But it's a little off the
beaten path for me. But uh so let me ask you,
let me as question on the same game. So they're
going up against the Royals. Royals are eighteen to sixteen. Dude, Okay,
what about Bobby wit Junior? How if you're if you
took Bobby Wit Junior one overall and now we're you know,
(05:38):
we're good months into the season, maybe five weeks now.
Three home runs, nine solen bases, two ninety five, average,
three seventy one on base percentage eight twenty six. It
is it what you expected or did you expect a
little bit more power?
Speaker 3 (05:54):
I expected a little bit more power.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
But am I overall? Am I down on Bobby Wood Now?
Not at at all. He's gonna hit thirty home runs,
he's going to drive in a hundred, he's gonna steal
thirty bases as well. He's a third of the way
there and more the sixth of the season, right right, yeah, yeah,
the speech. I think part of the problem is supporting cast.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Yeah. I mean when Vivi p Is hitting behind you
and he's got two hits today, but with the two hits,
it's still a one ninety two batting average. I mean,
why do you throw it a Bobby with JR.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yeah, I'm actually impressed that.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Is betting average is that high? You know what I mean?
I was expecting to see more walks.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
He's only walk fourteen times, struck out twenty four, but
I was expecting to see it the other way around. Possibly,
you know what I mean, just a pile of walks,
because why pitch to him?
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Right, yep, yeah, I don't have to. Yeah, So let's
let's switch over to the Mets and Cardinals. I think
they're playing a double hitter. I know they got rain
out yesterday. Okay, but let's Eric Fetty's out there and
pitch five six sets, three on runs, five walks again,
So four seventy at four seventy eight earring, it's just
(07:12):
been I mean, was he just a one season wonder
and just now the league is caught up to him? Well?
Speaker 3 (07:20):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
I think there's got to be something a little bit
out of Kilder, especially the walks, because if I recall,
he didn't walk that many last year. I'll just give
that a quick spy used to see how it how
it shook down. But I don't think his walks were
wherever that we walked fifty two last year and one
(07:43):
seventy seven. Okay, he's on pace right now for a
little bit bigger number, like about thirty plus more free passes.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
That'll that'll do damage.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Yeah. Wait, wait a minute, why why am I looking
at twenty twenty five Saint Louis Sixteen walks so far
and it's red would indicate a low number according to
Baseball Savant, but it's in thirty two innings. So yeah,
that's not good. So that's that's four and a half
walks for nine.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yeah, yeah, you're looking at sixteen. Multiply it roughly by six.
You're looking at ninety six to fifty two, right, yeah,
if you try and analyze it annualized and analyze annualize
the sixteen right, So.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah, it's sixteen walks and seventeen strikeouts. So yeah, that's
that's not going to cut it.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
No, no, not any not anywhere close to that. And
the home runs are pretty much in line the hit rate.
It might be a little bit high, but for the
most parties he's simply walking to me in early on.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yeah, it's weird. Yeah, we'll have to dig in to
figure out, what's what's wrong with what? What the issue is?
He wasn't expensive at the draft table, so people maybe
weren't totally enamored with his fine season last year. But
maybe he's just a back of the rotation guy, number
four type of starter.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Yeah, who had a good year.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Yeah, yeah, maybe the league didn't know what they had
when he came back and he got off to a
good start. Juan Soto with another hit today. Ronald LeCun
not Ronald mcunye. Oh jeez, Luis adallacunya. You know, he's
been pretty good this season. Tim, another two hits, hitting
three o eight, steal on a lot of bases, not
showing any power, but yeah, he's been a peg.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Yeah, he's up to eight strolling bases now.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
You know, if you picked him up as a reserve
type player, you should be perfectly happy with that.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Yeah, agreed, Blake didwell. Tim, Did he make your list?
I can't remember, I just edited it. Yeah, he got
beat up today and his major league debut three and
two thirds innings, six earned runs, So it wasn't good. Yeah,
he's had a really, really good season in the minor
leagues and he's been pretty good over the last couple
of years. But it doesn't have doesn't have big stuff there.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
So we'll see him again sometime this year.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, well he might stay up. I mean, guys, guys
are hurting clearly. The A's and Marlins are tied up again.
JP sears with another solid outing. Six innings, pitched, two runs.
I mean again, it's it's against the Marlins, but every
time you look at it, he's pitching.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Well yeah, no, it's it's another quality start. Yeah, and
actually Edward Cabrera actually had an awesome game based on
what we've seen, you know what I mean. Now, granted
it's it's Oakland, it's not exactly a top flight off.
It's but two earned runs on five and two thirds
(10:46):
for Cabrera, seven hits, a walk, that's a good outing.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
I finally gave up on him in a Diny Sea League.
I think it was might have been d L five
and I just ran out of room. Tommy and I
just looked at it and it's like, I mean, thanks
for the memories. And Edward, I mean, Eddie, but it's
just you know, I just couldn't hold on to him anymore.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Yeah, the bonding phase had expired.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Yeah, he just he just hasn't looked up the expectations.
He's still got really good stuff, and I think one
day he will figure it out. But I just got
tired of it. To me, I just I just had
to move on. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Well, yeah, and you look at the Diamondbacks and Phillies
today and we were talking about Rangers for as I believe,
on Friday, I hope everybody left him on the bench
to knock the rust off.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Because there was rust no Boata Dot's.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Three and two thirds, six hits, five earned runs, a
couple of walks, six strikeouts.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
That's a good sign.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
But he's on the wrong side of a seven to
one score right now with Erot having a decent game.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Yeah, I actually set e Rod and I think i've
Suarez in three or four. I think I kept him
on the IL. I just didn't even activate him, so
was able to do that because I didn't make any Yeah, yeah,
just because he was on the IL when Friday game started,
so that was a legal move. But uh, and let's
see my buddy Lance mccullors junior. Has this game started. Oh,
(12:18):
he's in the fourth ending to and I did not
listen to Tim McCloud, and I started him.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Very, very bold. I'm just looking to see if he's
still in the game. And he is. He is.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
He is three green and spitch, two hits, two walks,
three strikeouts. So I mean, Timm, if you're not going
to start him against the White Sox, I mean you
might as well drop him.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
I think I think I put him in the weaver
of a wire for last week, didn't.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
I I don't remember. I know we talked about it
on Friday and was trying to figure out should I
start him or not. But so I rolled the dice
and started him, and hopefully he'll work. Yeah, hopefully it'll work. Yeah,
but I was with you with Rangel Suarez, particularly going
up against the Diamondbacks. That didn't feel like a good situation.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
No, No, mccullors is up to sixty seven pitches through
three innings, so you better hope he has a good
fourth inning or we might not see five.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Well, but yeah, it still worked out. Still worked out.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Yeah, it still worked.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Oh yeah, I dropped your era, gave you three strikeouts.
I'm just happy to see him out there, I really am.
I said, man, when you go three three, three plus
years between starts.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
That's a while, right, that's a while.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
I have to take a look at the Baseball Savant
data to see how he's doing out there. Looks like
that Taj Bradley pitching well against the vaunted New York
Yankees and Aaron Judges Oh and two, Timmy, what's wrong
Aaron Judge? Drop them right? Oh?
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Joe for yeah, yeah, oh yeah, Actually the only the
only people with hits are at one and nine, Grisham
and Present.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Everything in between, he's blank so far. Oh, let's hope
he he keeps that up. Will Warren's struggling again, isn't he.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah, it's not happening. Hey, what about Chandler Simpson? Tim
five stolen bases and fifty one at bats. I mean,
he's doing exactly what we thought he would do.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Well.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
I remember that, you know, I think I wrote it
up or we discussed it, like, you know, the idea
that he's going to platoon, et cetera, et cetera. And yeah,
the other the other day he came in for one
at bat late in the game.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
And stole two bases.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Yeah, and yeah, he's capable of stealing two to three,
two to three bases in the game coming off the bench.
If you can get to first base, you know he's
going to run.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
So and I think he could get the first base
by the way. I mean he's a fat absolutely no power. None.
He'll hit a home run every couple of years, so
I mean so, but they're there is no power but.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
One that bounces in front of an oatfield, okay, A notaefielder. Yeah,
and he's he's at halfway between second and third before
the wall's picked up.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Yeah, he's gonna make it. You know he's gonna make
it hold.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Exactly and it's it's but I mean Tim is right,
I mean it is. It is serious speed and I
think there's enough slappy uh bat the ball skills and
with his speed, he's gonna beat out a lot of hits.
Now's the year to get them. So he was the
I think a really good waiver our pick up.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Here's here's a good question for you. Who do you
want long term? Okay, in a dynasty league, Simpson or
Xavier Edwards?
Speaker 1 (15:43):
I proh boy, I would probably say Xavier Edwards. He
seems slightly more established a little bit, maybe a better hitter.
But aren't they But Simpson's got more speed. Oh that's
a good question.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Because I I look at the two of them and
I see basically the same player. The same player give
her take one or two miles an hour, right there. Yeah,
I'm looking at Xavier Edwards and U. Since twenty twenty three,
the all of twenty twenty four and this year, he
(16:23):
has hit a total of two home runs in two
sixty three sixty five five hundreds of bets. So the
power isn't.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Oh, there's no power. There's no power. There's never been
any power. So I mean, no, he's hit home runs before,
but there's no power. I mean, I you know you can,
you can swing for the fences and and have no power,
but still hit. Still hit some things out of me
once in a while. But I mean looking at his
this eight stolen bases, a two sixty one average, a
three thirty one on base Percenter, so he gets his walks,
(16:55):
I think they're close to the same player. In Xavier
Edwards went pretty high in Draped.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Yeah he did. He was one of the one of
the more hyped players last March. You know a lot
of people were betting on forty to fifty stolen bases
and that he might get there.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Yeah, you should have bet on PCA because there was
always a chance that the power would develop. There's never
going to be any power Chandler Simpson and Xavier Edwards,
but no PCA. You know, if if you got him
for thirty or forty stolen bases, then you could thought, well,
maybe he could hit five attend on runs. It looks
like he's gonna have a lot more than that.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Well, he already he hit another one, I think yesterday.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Yeah, I think he's in our notes later on, isn't he.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Yeah, he could, but he's up to nine with twelve
stolen bases, so I would say twenty home runs and
forty stolen bases can't be ruled out.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Great, start to mean to take a break, and that's
come back and I've got let's talk about the boss
situation with the bad news coming out of Boston with Tristan. Yeah,
I'm playing so many leagues to me, I sometimes I
(18:17):
can't remember how many shares of Tristan Castes I have.
I believe I've got two. So that was a bit
of a bummer. I think one in in our podcast league,
which which was bad. But uh, and then one of
the New Dynasty leagues. I grabbed him, so bad news
to him. He's out for the season.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
It sounds like, yeah, I don't think there's any doubt
it was a ruptured the tele attendant. Yeah, yeah, that's
that's that's a year ready, ready to go next spring. Yeah,
it's yeah, it's it's gonna be it's going to be
a long haul for Tristan Casses. And uh, we're we're
(19:02):
on the same page when it comes to what is
potentially going to happen, which I which I found interesting
to say the least.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Yeah, so so first romy Gonzales is playing today, maybe
that's who he who he turns to. But when I
wrote the notes up and then I saw Tim's write
up of who he was suggesting, we were in the
same page, which was pretty interesting because we didn't compare
notes and no. It was like, well, they've got they've
got will you'r a bray you, they've got who's a
(19:34):
find defender. Why can't they move him to first and
bring up Roman Anthony. That's maybe they don't want to
do that, but it seems like that's the perfect thing
to do, right.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Yeah, that's the first thing I thought of is all
of a sudden, we can get Rafield evers to first or.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
You know, will you're a bray.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
They they've they've got an open spot that they can
play around with. And I think, you know, maybe they're
not in a huge reread to bring up Roman Roman
Anthony and that's all fair and well for now they
can look at using Rome Gonzalez and it'll work for now.
But we know that's not that's not the endplay. No, no,
(20:15):
if anything, it's it's a it's a it's a temporary move.
And I could really see divers divers at first base
because I don't think he I don't think he likes
the d h thing happening right.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Well, he's made a very well known that he wants
to play in the field. And that was that was
what I originally had in my notes. I said, well,
of course they're going to put divers to first base,
and then I read well, I actually had to change
the notes because then I read where, now that's they've
already rejected that idea. I'm like, why, I mean, they
really must not want to put divers out in the
(20:50):
field anywhere.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
Well, can you imagine if they put William or bray
you to first base and Divers is still ad the
I would think could be a problem, couldn't it based
on the early Uh everyone you asked that question in
spring creening and all they got was no, Yeah, Well that.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Would basically say, you know, you're a full time DH,
which if if Divers doesn't want to be a full
time DH, that could present problems. But look, I mean
you have to believe that uh Divers could play, is
good enough to play first base? Pray you is good
enough to play first base. I don't think you're going
to put Durant Darren Jared Durant, but maybe we see
(21:32):
Roman Anthony play first base? Why not? I mean put
him out there for a week or two on Triple
A and then say, okay, come on up, kid. I
mean I would love to see that.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
All we know is whatever whatever happens that doesn't involve
Roman Anthony is temporary.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Is that fair to say, yeah, unless we're completely out
to the launch, Because let's face this, Saddan Rafael is playing.
He's not playing great, but he's got the defense, he
can run, he's got some pop. I don't know, they
seem to like him, right, So okay, if you like
him in center field. You got to bring up Roman Anthony.
(22:10):
This is the opportunity. You got a guy that got
hurt unfortunately. I would say, don't waste that opportunity.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Yeah, I agree totally. And they'll be a better club
with Rom and Anthony than they will with uh No,
I can't.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Even remember Rolls playing every day. Yeah, you get, you get. Look,
bring up Roman Anthony. You know he's going to struggle
for the first six weeks, everybody does, and just let him.
Let him get it out, you know, let's just let
him burn through it, and then by the second half
he's ready to go and he's helping you well.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
And Rome Gonzalez can play the oatfield, right, so you
can take some of the pressure pressure off Rafael by
sitting him against tough same side arms, right.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
I don't know, Yes, worse gold.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
All we have to do is to talk to talk
to the management, get a job with Boston, and I'll
win the World Series.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
Right.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
It seems it seems like the the obvious thing to do,
which is which If it is what uh Hackam Razor says,
you always go with the most logical thing whenever you
have a complex problem. That seems to be the most
logical thing to do, so let's hopefully they will do that.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Update time from Toronto.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Rich uh Tanner, Biby is coming off the mound and
it looks like a looks like a leg cramp.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Oh dear, but he is.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
He's out of the game.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
He he got in five innings, five hits, two walks,
three strike leaves of the fourth, three lead. But yeah,
he was walking off fairly, gingerly. But they were rubbing
the hamstring on that, okay, so that.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Might not be a cramp, that might be a poll.
So yeah, so uh, let's talk. Let's talk Jake Myers
and I'll so it was a pretty remarkable game. So
I have him in three leagues, so as soon as
I saw what was happening, it's all about me to me,
as it is all about you and everybody else has
(24:26):
listened to him. Mean you you think the first thing,
you think, oh, I've got him on a team. Did
I start him right?
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Because you get that, damn it exactly, so full disclosure.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
I have him in three leagues on the bench, and
two started him in one and that one start and
pushed me up I think six points last night and
in the stand, so it was a great It was
a four two. I'm run seven RBIs. I mean, but
he's still Jake Myers, right.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
He's still Jake Myers. But in deeper leagues, the current
version of Jake Myers, it's pretty darn good player. Is
a fifth oatfielder. Yeah, yeah, we're looking at two of
them runs, thirteen RBIs, seven stolen bases. The speeds there,
the batting average and OBP are decent. Two ninety five
(25:20):
is great on the batting average three thirty seven OBP. Yeah, hey,
he's only a walk six times start out. It's Jake Myers,
but he's in the middle of a hot streak. So yeah,
you go with them until that's it.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
That's why I grabbed him in a bunch of leagues
at the beginning of the season, just because I had
some hurt outfielders. I've got Mike Trout on a few leagues,
so in those where I've got Jake Myers, that's where
I'm gonna plug him in. But he's kind of my
fifth sixth outfielder. You know, I don't play the hot streaks.
I just use them when everybody else gets hurt or
(25:53):
the or he's better than the other fifth outfielder that
I have. So so yeah, I've I've been pretty pleased
with getting the stolen bases and he hasn't hurt me
in batting average. Has just been no power until Friday night.
So on Saturday, ye whenever he did.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
It, Yeah, I know when was it May third?
Speaker 2 (26:12):
That would be uh one two three Saturday night last night.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Yeah, So let's talk Corbyn Burns. Apparently he has he's
going to miss his next start, and you know, I
have him on one team and it seems like every
time I look, he's having a bad game. I was
shocked when he had a three fifty eight er and
I'm like, how does he only have a three fifty
eight era? And then I looked at as expected era
(26:39):
of five point thirty one and that felt more like
the guy I saw in the box scores every night
that it just like there was no strikeouts and too
many walks. It seemed like he was dancing on eggshells
the entire time. And uh, what do you think about
Cormyn Burns this season?
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Well, you know it, it makes me wonder now that
now that I look, I've got all of his games
sitting in front of me, and he allowed two earned
runs four three to one in the past two games.
But in those six starts, in four of the six,
he's only struck out three going back to going back
(27:18):
to his second start of the season. When I look
at when I look at the the walks in the
past two outings, he's walked eight three and five. Man,
he's been dancing with the devil and so far pulling
it off. And yeah, hey, I could see an expected
year a north of five with the you know, the
(27:40):
raw data that you're looking at.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
He's had his butt bailed out by his bullpen.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Many times, I are bailed out by a guy who's
swung a swung at a bad pitch and got out
of an ending then and so I was really surprised that,
you know, again when I saw that ear and then
I again shook my head when I saw the fire
thirty one go, Yeah, that feels like the guy we've
been seeing this season. So hopefully whatever's ailing him, tim,
(28:08):
i'd be I'd be very careful starting him, and he's
not an everyday start for me until we see better
peripherals going on.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
Well, No, last year in one hundred and ninety four
and a thirty walked forty eight this year in thirty
two and two thirds, he's walked seventeen.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Yeah, how many second walks and how many strikeouts twenty eight? Yeah,
So that's that's not that's unacceptable.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
M hm.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
It most certainly is. And it makes me wonder if
his shoulder has been a little cranky for a while.
When you see all of those games, going back to
his second one of the season with three strikeouts, that's
not Corbyn Burns was probably I was.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
I was pretty sure. A couple of years ago. We
talked about Kyle Stowers when he was with the Orioles.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
And I was all over him a couple of years ago,
I thought, and I thought Tim was all over him,
and and I was.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
That was confirmed when I read his waiver report. By
the way, the waiver report comes out early for our
Patreon members. That's why you should subscribe here. You get
Tim's wonderful words out early, get the podcast out earlier,
by the way. And Tim, I mean, he had a
great game on Saturday. He's hitting three twenty four, he's
got six on runs. It might be the best player
(29:25):
on the Marlins, right and nobody's talking about this guy no.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
And yeah, yeah, you take a look at right now.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
I was actually I was actually surprised that at CBS
he's rostered to the two and forty four percent. I
figured it would be much lower. But he's been playing
well all season. I'm happy for him, you know. I
I I was big on him a couple of years ago,
(29:55):
and he got a bit of a chance in Baltimore,
but he didn't really see them. A mint in Baltimore
had a lot of prospects and a lot of other players.
I guess they wanted to look at, so he just
sort of got buried in their system. But to move
to Miami and an opportunity to play every day and
he's producing, so I like it. Good for the kid.
I hope he succeeds and does does very very well.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Lance McCullers three and two thirds innings, three hits, three walks,
four strikeouts. Nowhere runs eh, kind of a wash.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
He's out of the game.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
I'm assuming he's out of the game.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
So with seventy five bitches, I.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Don't know how many pitches eighty seven.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Ooh, that's a lot. That's a lot.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
When he couldn't throw strikes, he couldn't throw strikes. I mean,
that was this problem. So he just wasn't very efficient
and that's just the way it goes. Last question for you, Yeah,
it kind of related a bit to Corbyn Burns because
Kevin Gausman's been kind of a bit of a bummer
for me. And then you look at he's got a
three to six RA and but again you look at it,
and I've watched a couple of his ownings. I've seen
(30:59):
every one of his box scores, and it seems like
he's another guy that's teetering on problems. What do you
call it? Dancing with the Devil?
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Yeah, dancing with the Devil?
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Yeah, great name for a band. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
I think it was a Charlie Daniels song or something.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
Wow, is Charlie Daniels still with us? Charlie died? I
think he died?
Speaker 3 (31:23):
He?
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Oh, I will, I got my hyper speak computer already
punching in the well.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Well wait a minute, Well tell us first about Kevin Cossman.
I'll look up Charlie Daniels.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
He's alive. No, he died in No, he died in
July sixth, twenty twenty. Oh okay, yeah, sorry, read it wrong.
That's Okay, No, he's no longer with.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Us, oh dear anyway, so Kevin Coston he's still with us.
So I was like, am I wrong to feel like
it's been a disappointment even though the era A looks
pretty good.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Yeah, I'm looking. I'm looking at the hits in the
walks and it all looks good. The strakeouts look good.
My concern with Gosman was the fact that he had
big time problems last year pitching at home. If I'm
not mistaken, the Rogers Center or SkyDome or whatever they
(32:21):
call it. He really struggled last year. But so far
he can't be pitching that bad because of the eeries
at three threes only a lot four home runs, the
hit rates good walks. You I haven't seen too many
of his outings, but the line looks a lot better
than again it did last year. I'll have to take
(32:44):
a look and see.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
The split finger still looks really good, rate on it
exactly the way it was in twenty twenty four. His
wiff rate on his four seamer is better than it
was in twenty twenty four. You know, last season is interesting.
I mean, even his four seamer. They expect that batting
average was two eighty eight, which is pretty high. This
year it's two thirty one. So he is locating his
(33:09):
pitches better and he is pitching better. So maybe it's
just a hangover for me from twenty twenty four. In
the fact is he's actually been a lot better this season.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
Well, when I look at that line, it includes two starts. Okay,
His last outing against Cleveland struck out nine, allowed one hit,
no runs, and earlier on in Boston he threw eight
innings of four hit ball with nowhere and runs and
ten strikeouts. So he's got nineteen out of that total
(33:43):
strikeouts in two outings, one at home against Cleveland, went
on the road against Boston. The rest is okay. But
though I think his overall numbers are fueled by those
two starts.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Rich Okay, well maybe that's that's that's what it is
as well to me, let's take a break, get back,
and let's take a look at your waiver wire and
look at a couple more games that are going on.
An interesting game out in Seattle it is, Sorry, Timmy,
(34:20):
it's not in Seattle at Seattle against the Tigers, and
your buddy Logan Evans not having at not having he's
getting he's getting walloped. Three innings, eight hits, six earned runs,
two strikeouts and two walks. So the Rangers are having
their way with him.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
Well, Cross, I'm off the listroy.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Tonight exactly exactly, Uh camp Smith, camp Smith hitting to
hitting three hundred now just added kind of out of nowhere.
Nice to adjust and here he goes.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Yeah, he's not playing today. He's he's been sitting I
believe again the same side arms lately.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
So we'll see. What.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
So that's a different Smith that's playing center field. Oh
that's Josh Smith.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
My bad, My bad, Okay, yeah, Cam Smith's yeah in Houston,
in Houston.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Yeah, I got it wrong. I got it. I'm totally
ignore what I just said everybody. I'm looking at the Rangers,
I'm looking at Josh Smith and just completely got head
of brain cramp. The other Texas teams, so they got
the state right, got the player wrong. I don't know
what I'm talking about. Tom. Okay, let's go. Let's go
(35:39):
to your way were I asked this. Every time when
you wave a wire, you have to do the research
during the week, you have to write the notes up
on the week, and it's always a quality piece of
work that you do. But what did you think of
the list of names? Do you feel like they'll be
helpful names? Last week you thought it was really good.
What do you think about the week's list.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
I think we're settling in a little bit rich. I
had to do some I had to do some serious
work this week to come up with come up with names.
I at seven thirty this morning, my waiver wire consisted
of four names plus three on the closer report. So
everything that you're looking at now has transpired since about
(36:26):
eight o'clock this morning, seven thirty eight o'clock. I thought
we might have one of the shortest waiver wires in
the history.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Of waiver wires. Interesting when I got rolling today.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
But a little digging and a little reading and research
and some names started popping up. And you know, I
the first name on the list. I didn't have a
clue what was going on there. I've just sort of
filed him away as lost. Okay for a few years.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
So lost he's posted sixty seventy A and that is
Tyler Anderson. He has gone back to tempts as to
the glory days of twenty twenty two. I don't think
of the Glory Days as twenty twenty two. But okay
the Glory Day, Glory Day. Yeah, so.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Yeah, yeah, Like I said, I just started scanning and
looking at who's being who's being picked up and free agents,
and Tyler Andersons started left out, you know, forty three
roster to the CBS.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
As you mentioned, the area and whip are really solid.
A pair of wins.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
He's on a street as far as quality starts are concerned,
with three in a row right now. Yeah, as a
number five starter. Yeah, he's getting it done so far.
Good for Tyler Anderson.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
All right, So the next guy is Javier Bias. So
before Tim tem talks, I got his profile up on baseball.
I mean clearly he's he's hot as a pistol.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
And is it a sight or a front profile.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
It's uh, actually he's bad. He looks like a side file.
But it is a baseball savant profile. So so first
of all, let's let's talk positives. The range. Even though
he's playing some center field now, his range is still
ninety three percentile. So he's still great in the field.
(38:17):
That's good news. The bad news is his big time
bat speed that he had back in the day. Where
you would see maximum exit velocities of one sixteen, one fourteen.
This year it's one oh six point nine. The launch
angle is six point four, so he's still beating a
lot of balls on the ground. He still strikes out
(38:39):
a ton, and he never walks. He's never walked in
his entire career and he still hasn't walked.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
And he chases everything outside the zone.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
Right his chase rate is he's in the ninety seven
percent of all baseball players control the strike zone better
than he does. So sorry, yeah, it's there. There's nothing
good in this profile. So no, maybe one eighty four
was unfair what he hit last year with six home runs,
(39:09):
but I pretty sure three hundred is not fair this season.
So I'm guessing he's a two thirty to forty guy
with a handful of home runs a handful of stolen bases.
That's who he is.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Yes, And as I mentioned in my narrative for him,
remember that Matt Vierling is not that far away, and
there will be the playing time challenges are going to
be on the horizon. Have your biases on a little
mini tear right now. Okay, three homer seven RBIs past
three games. If I was in a rough position as
(39:48):
far as shortstop, third base, outfield. Yeah, I would take
a look at him this week, but I sure wouldn't
spend a lot of money. And it's not a it's
not a long term fix for me. It's just how
can I get away with surviving until my walking wounded
return for a week or two. And I think that's
a fair way of looking at it.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
So last year his babbit was two twenty babbit, this
year's three seventy five. So it's all being fueled by
slat locked because he doesn't hit the ball hard enough
to support a high babbit anymore. So we could probably
go back to twenty twenty three, where you had a
two seventy four babbit. Let's see what did he do
in twenty twenty three. So let's see twenty twenty three.
(40:31):
He had nine home runs. He hit two twenty two
with a two sixty seven on base percentage and twelve
stolen bases. That feels about right to meet him.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
Yeah, that give or take.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Just hope you catch the tail end of this hot
streak and he can extended a few more days and
maybe you'll get Like I said, it's the sort of
player that you're looking to fill a hole and you
don't want to do it the old fashioned way.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
Just spend money. Have your bias could be the answer
to a short term problem.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Yeah, but the data does not support that. This is
a rebirth of the Javier Bias of two thousand and
sixteen and seventeen. No, this is not the same guy
that batspeed's gone.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
I had a full head of hair back then. That's
a long time ago.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
I mean the look and I'll just repeat because I
this is one thing I'm pretty confident in understanding how
it works. Guys like Javier Bias, who cannot control the
strike zone, who had elite bat speed, can get away
with cheating because he could wait on pitches and still
hit them and hit them with power once that bat speed.
(41:40):
Once he lost the bat speed, which all players do,
he is a sit and duck and I don't see
it coming back.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
No, I don't either. No.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
Next guy is a great name. I obviously I love
the kids, and that's Jack Caglion. Caglon It's tough to say.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
He was the Royals first round draft pick last year.
Has been hitting monster tape measure bombs in the minor leagues.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
Yeah, he's a double A.
Speaker 2 (42:11):
And what I found interesting is he's starting to get
some reps in the oatfield, and let's face it, the
Royals could use an outfielder or two.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
Uh I.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
I don't think it'll be long. I think I think
we're going to see him inside the I'll go four
to six weeks sometime into the middle middle end of June,
just before or after the break. So again, if he's available,
you might want to snatch him up now and sit
on him. The price will be a lot better now
than as compared to when he actually gets the call.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
Agreed. I mean, I think there's there is an opportunity
for him in right field. Memory, he was a pitcher
in college. He was two way player in college. Who
does have a plus arm. I haven't seen him play
in the outfield, so I have I can't give anybody
some scouting information on that. We know the powers massive,
we know there's going to be strikeouts. He's not going
to be a high batting average guy, but he he
(43:07):
you know, and in the worst case, he's Joey Gallo, right,
that's the worst case scenario. Who, by the way, is
pitching now? I don't know if you've heard.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
Yeah, No, he's chucking him in there pretty good. From
where I can understand, maybe he's got a future in
a bullpen somewhere.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
Maybe you should sign.
Speaker 1 (43:25):
He still looks really athletic. I mean, he's still I mean,
he's always a great athlete. And again, very similar kind
of profile because Joey Gallo was a pitcher back in
his youth as well, but obviously he couldn't hit anymore.
But the best case scenario with with Jack kagleone is
is he's Kyle Schwarber. So that's kind of the range
(43:45):
of player that we're talking about.
Speaker 2 (43:48):
Yeah, and Kyle Schwarber's of the world. The last time
I look, He's had a pretty good career, isn't he.
Speaker 1 (43:55):
Kyles Shwarmer's had a great career. He's had a great career.
And that's that's a guy that a little bit better
player than Joey Gallow And they've kind of an opposite ends.
And I always think about Joey Gallow and you and
I talked about this probably five or six years ago,
and we were both upset at it because Joey Gallo
was in an interview that he said, I don't care
(44:15):
if I strike out too much. I don't care. They
pay me to hit long home runs and that's what
I'm going to do. And and I were like, no, dude,
you're not going to make it long term if you
don't have better contact than sure enough, Timmy, he just
you just withered away.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Yeah, yep. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
Every time I see Joey Gallo, I think of the character.
I think it was Callo in the my cousin Vinnie.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Which one was which one was Calloh?
Speaker 3 (44:46):
That was Joe Joe, Yeah, Joe Pesci.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Oh okay, I didn't really, I didn't know that. I
know Joe PASTI obviously it's a great a great care
for sure.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Why does he remind you of Joe Pesci?
Speaker 2 (45:05):
Well, because his role in that movie was Callo. That
was that was his callow gallow. Oh, I get it.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
They were right, Lord.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
I thought there was something I get shot of that.
I thought you were trying to compare something because Vinnie
So and my cousin Vinnie, Joe Pesci was the attorney
for correct for for somebody. Who was it the girl
that was in trouble or something?
Speaker 2 (45:37):
I don't know it was, it was the it was
the guy I can't remember his name right now, but
he was in all of the uh oh what was it?
What he played the guitarist up against Steve Steve I
and uh Crossroads was it?
Speaker 3 (45:56):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (45:56):
I don't I don't remember anyway, So he represented he
was from York, New Jersey and just a real piece
of work. And it was very, very funny, and of
course Fred Gwinn Herman Munster brilliant portrayal of a judge.
And and the famous line is utes. So when he
was in his chutes and Herman was like Frank Wentz going,
(46:22):
what is utes? Excuse me, your honor you? Wow.
Speaker 3 (46:31):
I liked that movie a lot.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
That's a great movie, absolutely great movie. And then and
there's a cute little girl in there too, a woman
in there that's his I think, yeah, his sister maybe,
or I think that's anyway we digress, No I can't.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
Yeah, yeah, here here today, nowhere to be seen moving forward,
not he'll be back. Great debut replacing Cole Reagan's who
is supposed to start tomorrow?
Speaker 3 (47:06):
I believe either today or tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (47:08):
But uh, toss six no hit innings against the Rais.
Speaker 3 (47:12):
And again it's.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
A situation where he was sent down, but we do
know that over the next five months the Royals are
gonna need pitching.
Speaker 3 (47:21):
And I would say, after that.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
Performance, we know who's getting first call, and it would
be probably mister Cameron. So again, if you got room
on your bench, I'd spend a couple bucks right now
and stash him.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
Yeah, my buddy Lewinder, haven't I gotta check what's going
on with him. I would have hoped. I know he's
on the forty man. I was hoping he would get
Lewinder Avilia. I'm not sure he's gotten. Have to see
what he's done after his first couple starts. Ben Casparius
pitcher with the Dodgers. They've got a lot of these guys, Simmy.
We've talked about him at nauseum almost every other week,
and Ben Kaspirian is the next guy up.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
Well, yeah, you know, so far.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
Nine year someone whip and yeah, Dave Roberts is talking
about giving an opportunity in the Dodgers rotation. I don't
know very much about this kid, you rich.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
Oh sure, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (48:14):
Pitching, well, yeah, I mean I he was.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
Ranked I think twenty second or twenty third, and it's
probably a back of the rotation guy, good control. Stuff's
just okay. Yeah right, it's okay.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
But pitching in Dodger Land does afford you the opportunity
to allow three or four runs and still come away
with an easy victory.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
Right, Yeah, my buddy Lunda Revelia has hit some rough
rough spot here too. The last last two outing, three
outings have not been good. So okay, the first two
outings were great, the eleven strikeouts and the walks, but
he's still not walking anybody in fact, well yeah, yes,
walking a few too many and strikeouts and runaway, so
(48:59):
he's he hit some rough spots, so he needs more
time to develop, it appears. Let me get back to
your list here and romy Gonzalez, and we want to
talk about that anymore.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
No, I think we've covered a short short term. The
one thing that is nice about Gonzalez is he's eligible
at first, second, short, third, and probably soon outfield. So
nice little super sub.
Speaker 1 (49:27):
The next player is Gunner Hoglin. And tell us about
Gunner Hoglin, Timmy. Then I have a trivia question for
you about Gunner Hoglin, and then we will take a break.
Speaker 2 (49:38):
Yeah, made his MLB debut against the Marlins. Couldn't have
asked for a better opportunity and pitch very well. One
run ball over six seven strikeouts. I'd say that guarantees
him another kick at the can.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
I would think so he was. He's been around for
a few years and has finally made his way to
the Major League's tim My Trivia question about Gunner Hogland.
He was drafted by a team never saw any playing
time for that particular team in the first round in
twenty twenty one. Let's take a break and we get back.
Let's see if Tim McCleod knows this answer. Gunner Hoglin.
(50:28):
Gunner Hogland was drafted him by a team that he
never saw any playing time, then Timmy, and then he
got traded to the Oakland Athletics back then now just
the Athletics. Who was that team that drafted him?
Speaker 2 (50:40):
And that sounds like an aj Pereler type of move.
I'm gonna just a pure guess guess, but I'm gonna
go with the Padres.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
It was actually the Toronto Blue Jays.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
Oh really, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:54):
I forgot who got traded for. I think it was
back in the time when the the Blue Jay were
had a pretty good team and they were going for it.
But uh, so they and there's a lot of guys
like JT. Jen Agin, he's another guy, A lot of
those kids that they kept acquiring, and they were always hurt, right,
(51:14):
they were on the eyel and they were carrying all
this first all this first round second round talent, and
a lot of those guys took forever to come back.
So it's good to see Hoglin's actually having some success
because the pedigree has always been there.
Speaker 3 (51:28):
Awesome. Yeah, let's let's hope for success.
Speaker 1 (51:31):
Tim's guy hay Son Kim. Tim. People forgotten about him.
He spent the first month in Triple A. As you
write five, I run thirteen stolen bases and he's got
the call yesterday.
Speaker 2 (51:43):
Yeah, I'll just be a second. I need some water
here because I could be forty five minutes to an
how we're discussing.
Speaker 1 (51:49):
Oh, Kim about the Pauls, and I thought you really
needed water, So okay.
Speaker 3 (51:57):
I did, But but I Drake drank with the mute
button on. Uh, I can.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
Tell I heard I heard the mut button come back one.
Speaker 3 (52:05):
Oh really well yeah, technology.
Speaker 2 (52:10):
Uh, he's having a good year at Triple A, doing
pretty much. I'm actually surprised to see as many home
runs as he's got with five, but definitely the stolen bases. Yeah,
he can run Tommy Edmonds uh on the I L
So he got the call. I think I think you'll
(52:30):
see regular regular at bats uh against uh opposite side arms,
which in his case is the right side of a
platoon until Emand returns and who knows what will happen,
And you know, a lot will depend on on how
he looks and how he performs. But I would say
(52:50):
you've probably got a couple of weeks if you're looking
for a filler at second base with the speed potential.
Speaker 1 (52:56):
Michael Lorenzen started today against the Orioles. He got beat
up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (53:02):
Yeah, he was my two start pick and I haven't
picked a good one yet, so uh time.
Speaker 1 (53:06):
When Walker was the one before that, that's like, you
gotta gotta step it up, McLeod.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
That there's a reason that I don't play head to head, okay,
and I'm just reinforcing it, okay through the waiver where
uh I I took a look at the two start
options and we're the people, we're an appeal to me
a but Lorenzo was the fact that he did Kyle
Gibson a Hunter Dobbins as the two bitchers he'd be
facing in his next two starts, one of which was today,
(53:31):
one of which was not a success.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
So let's move on to Kobe Mayo.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
Sorry that show. So Lorenzo's not a guy that you're
I mean, he's not a decent season. I've been starting
him in the league.
Speaker 3 (53:45):
Yeah, yeah, no decent.
Speaker 2 (53:47):
I again, the two start options weren't that great this week,
And as soon as I saw he was going up
against Kyle Gibson today, I thought, yeah, and I sort
of liked that.
Speaker 1 (53:58):
Yeah, Kyle Gibson has not not fared very well at
his first two starts. I think he'll be better, But
I mean, that's a classic number five starter.
Speaker 3 (54:09):
Well, yeah, he's not saving the day in Baltimore.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
No, oh, let's talk. Let's go back to that Royals
and Orioles game. My buddy michel Garcia another home run,
so we're talking four home runs now in the season.
Got two home run game, Bobby wit Jr. As I
was shaming him for only three home runs. Goes Yard
and Vinnie pas Quentina, believe it or not, actually did
something Timmy. He hit a home run, so I think
(54:35):
he might be. Oh, he's almost up at the Mendoza line,
three for four, hitting one.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
Ninety eight and Michael Garcia will be the next Joey Callo.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
Okay, cats, Yeah, in the losing again, Kobe Mayo over two.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
He must have walked or got hit by a pitch.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
He did get he did walk. Yes, we talked about
We talked about Kobe Mayo earlier. Anything else to say?
Would you be spending a lot of your fab with
Kobe Mayo?
Speaker 3 (55:08):
No, I wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (55:10):
I Hey, I think when Jordan Westburg or Ramon Areas
comes back, unless Kobe Mayo starts hitting, he's going to
get sent back down again.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
He's got to.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
Do something for that, for the for the Oriols to
keep them up. Okay, and then over too with a
walk isn't gonna you know what I mean. It's his
time is limited. He's got a short window. If he
doesn't do anything with it, he's gonna be back down.
So no, I wouldn't. I wouldn't be investing big time
in Kobe Mayo.
Speaker 1 (55:40):
I traded for Kobe Mayo in the off season straight
up for Clay Clay Holmes, and I thought it was mistake,
but you know, I don't own Kobe Mayo anywhere, and
I kind of wanted to share of him, and it hasn't.
I don't know if it's going to work out because
Clay Holmes been awfully good this season. I still I mean,
(56:04):
I mean, Kobe Maya still has the ball really, really hard,
but frankly, he needs I think he needs out of Baltimore.
I think he needs a shot to play two hundred
and fifty to three hundred bats in the big leagues
and just figure it out because he's I don't think
he needs to spend any more time in Triple A.
And I just don't see it happening in Baltimore, Tim,
I just don't see it.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
No, it's at some point in time, and I think
that time is sort of upon us now that Baltimore.
At some point he'll just end up buried in the minors,
right Yeah.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
And I from what from what I hear talking with
my friends in baseball and people in the front offices,
no one has given up on Kobe Mayo. They all
think this guy is going to be a power hitting
first basement. That's that's the general sense. Why first base,
that's right, first base, not third and and people seem
(57:01):
to still believe that that's what's gonna happen. He hits
the ball too hard, blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah. And but Baltimore's trying to win baseball
games and Kebby Mayo is just not getting a shot.
Speaker 2 (57:14):
Well, and let's face it, if Kobe Meo does hit,
if they believe he's going to be their first base
in the future, Ryan Mountcastle isn't exactly tearing things up
at first base, is he?
Speaker 1 (57:23):
He has not? No, I'm not mistaken. Is Ryan Montcastle
a free agent next season?
Speaker 3 (57:31):
I'm not sure he could be.
Speaker 1 (57:33):
Yeah. Uh, next guy is Jacob Mazeroski, who I think
is he's had a really good season. I still think
he's a reliever long term. But guy's got great stuff.
Speaker 2 (57:43):
Yeah it's and yeah, he's still walking too many Okay,
I know.
Speaker 1 (57:49):
He's always gonna walk too many.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Yeah, there's a couple of games where he kept the
numbers down, excuse me, and it looked real good. But
he's going to force a brewer's hand at some point.
I think it's gonna be relatively soon. So if he's
sitting there available. Again, if you've got the bench room
room to stash him, I would say, make the move now.
Speaker 1 (58:11):
He was all my hot prospects of the month. And
that's exactly what I said. I said, I I the
Brewers need pitching. I think he's better as a reliever,
but they need pitching. And quite frankly, we talk about
the we talk about the Marlins all the time, we
talk about the Guardians all the time. The Brewers are
every bit as good at developing pitchers as those two
other organizations. And it's they've got a long list of
(58:34):
guys that had issues, had problems, and they were able
to work through it with them.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
Yeah. No, I like I said, I think we're going
to see him sooner as compared to later.
Speaker 3 (58:44):
So if you got the room, go get him.
Speaker 1 (58:49):
Dane Myers, I think I thought he was a comedian.
Speaker 2 (58:52):
No, No, that's Garvey. I think that's Dana Yeah, Okay.
Speaker 1 (58:59):
Myers, Dana Carvey. Do you watch you probably don't watch this.
There's a show. Oh it's not Dana Carvey. Never mind,
forget about it. They keep going to Okay, Dane Myers
much screwed up another thing.
Speaker 2 (59:12):
Everybody, everybody loves that Nilsen Cruise feel good story right
here long Yeah, the longtime minor leaguer finally gets a
break and goes on to enjoy success. Now you just add,
is you know, is this Dane Myers. It could be,
but at the same point in time, he could just
be a platoon fourth outfielder type who's on a hot street.
(59:36):
But right now, in deeper formats, even in a platoon situation,
he's gone ten for thirty three with two homers and
a perastolen basis in the middle of April. I think
that's enough to earn him a roster spot in deeper formats.
Speaker 1 (59:51):
I was high on Bondayala when I saw him a
double a three or three years ago. And yeah, once
I got data on him, I kind of backed away
because I just didn't see the hard hit rates. He
wasn't as fast as my eye said he was. Never
got him on my watch. But uh, bow Naylor, you say,
past three games has three hits and they're all home runs.
Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
Yeah, why am I mentioning him? Well? Yeah, the fact
they're all home runs?
Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
Yeah, is this just uh just a little mini hot
streak as a number two catcher. I'll invest a small
bit to try and figure out with the answer to
the question is, and I haven't given up on bone Naylor.
Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
Yeah, I know, I know, I agree with you. I
agree with you there, but the power that the numbers
don't look good. So he's either got to get into
his man strength or he's just never going to hit
the ball. Hark. Kyle Stowers, we talked about him earlier.
Anything else to say about Kyle Stowers? Is it stow hit?
Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Yeah, he's playing well, Go get him. If you're looking
for an outfielder and he's hey, it's Iami. He's going
to get opportunities to play well. So yeah, I'm happy.
Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
To see him enjoying success.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
Success and maybe uh paired with Kobe Mayo, they could
they could lead Miami out of the offensive doldrums at
some point. Done down the road, right, Sandy Alcantara, There
we go for Kobe Mayo and what else an outfielder.
Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
That's interesting, mister McLeod, because obviously see any he's not
been very good this season, but he might. He would
definitely be an upgrade for the Orioles. I like that.
That's a really good idea.
Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Well, and they've had they've got history, right.
Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
Yeah, yeah. I mean I think you'd have to. It'll
probably cost you more than Kobe Mayo, but maybe not
that much more. That's a that's a really good call
because they could sit there and say, well, he's not
the same guy. We'd have to take a look at
what sandy contrast data looks like.
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
But how do you get starting how do you get
starting pitching in today's game?
Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
You go, you pay over pay for the pitch, and
you got to do that. You either have to do
that with prospects or you got to do that with cash.
And if your owner is unwilling to pay the cash
for the guys, then you got us. You got to
spend the prospect capital all the way. I said, you're
not gonna win.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Right, No, you will have a wonderful second place team
forever and ever.
Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
The Orioles have the third. They have the third worst
run different show in the league, and behind the White
Sox and the Rockies. In front of the White Sox
and the Rockies, they're third.
Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
That's nothing to be really proud of.
Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
It is that is not a good So that was
when I looked, I think on Thursday or Friday, so
it could have shifted a little bit, But I mean
they're they're in there. They're in the with the dregs
of of Major League Baseball. They're in They're in guys
that are permanently rebuilding. And this is what the Orioles
have and that's not good. No, it is not Talta
for show. It surprises me he's on this list. I mean, look,
(01:03:00):
he's not a great player, but twenty percent roster and
I don't know if that's because he was hurt during
draft season and that's why, but he's he's a player.
Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Well, and you know he's going to get time in
centerfield because there's very few that have the glove of
Dalton bar show.
Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
And I happened to watch.
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
I was watching his effort the other day where he
tripped over his own two feet and stumbled and then
did a backhand stab and casually snag a fly ball
and centerfield. Just amazing stuff. But you know, people, people
are down on his offense. Okay, but if you go
back to twenty twenty two, Yeah, that was his high
(01:03:43):
water mark in Arizona, had twenty seven home runs and
stole sixteen bases with a two thirty five average. A
year following in Toronto twenty home run, sixteen stolen bases
to twenty. Batting average last year eighteen homers, ten stolen
bases to fourteen this year he got a couple of
home run last week. In the stolen base I think
(01:04:03):
he's okay. As a fifth oatfielder. He's going to give
you fifteen to twenty home runs, he's going to give
you ten to fifteen stolen bases. You got to live
with with a batting average drag.
Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
But you know, he's okay.
Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
You know what I mean for all the complaints, Yeah,
you throw the defense in there, and yeah, he's a
heck of a player.
Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
Yeah, I mean obviously what you said in one base
percentage leagues, it's it's a bit of a it's a
tough one because he never walks, all right, So he's
he's sporting a two eighty two ninety type of one
base percent don't know what it is this season, but
that's what typically he does. That that's tough. The last
guy is you mentioned him earlier, and I'm waiting him
in a couple of leagues, and that is Matt Veerling
to finally get out of the I.
Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
L well, you know, last last year was a career
best sixteen home runs, fifteen RBIs covers third base, sorry, Howvy,
and the oatfield, and hey, the Tiger's going to find
room for him in there every day line. At least
that's my belief. He's he's off off to a rehabits.
I'm in at Toledo starting today, and we're gonna see
(01:05:07):
him in the next couple of weeks. So right now,
he's seven percent rostered in CBS, meaning in ninety three
percent of the leagues he's available. I think he's a
good ad.
Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
I agree, and third base and outfield eligible in most leagues.
To me, it's take take our final break, let's check
on some scores and then do your closure report. Cody
(01:05:40):
Bellinger with his fourth ho run of the season. Disappointing
years so far for Cody Bellinger, this fourth home run
hitting barely above the Medoza line at two or two.
I thought he'd be better playing in Yankee Stadium, but
it just has not worked for him yet.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
No, not yet. An update on tan er Biby. It
parent cramping, okay, okay, like cramping. So it looks good news.
It looks yeah, that's good news. Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
Duran finally got to say us his fourth saved one
seventeen era, so good to see that. As the Minnesota
Twins defeat your Boston Red Sox, Firron boxing with a
seventh m run.
Speaker 3 (01:06:27):
Yeah out of the leadoff spot. I believe.
Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
I yep, I think, I think you're right.
Speaker 2 (01:06:34):
Yeah, they might be counting on him for that stolen
base prowess.
Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
Yeah. Brewers up four to nothing, Cheerio one for four.
Let's see who's done damage. Durbin one for three with
two so it looks like maybe two RBIs So that's interesting.
Freddy Perolta pitching another gem to eighteen e ra Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
Nice, nice, nice numbers out of Freddy, and I would
imagine think that he's probably got My guess would be
I'm gonna go with seven straight coats.
Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
Seven is the correct number, mister McLoud. You win? Wow,
you know what you win?
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Uh in the lighters nothing, Yours truly was the big
winner this morning.
Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
So we've we've had friends entertaining friends all weekend and
uh so a little cloudy this morning. We had some
storms roll in, so we decided to hit putt putt
golf early this morning. Yours truly champions, So for my prize.
Speaker 3 (01:07:38):
How many how many hole and ones?
Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
Rich like you too, I believe two holes and ones.
It was par thirty six, so two strokes per whole.
I was scratched golfer today, Timmy, very very proud, and
for my victory, I got the last dessert at lunchtime,
so I'm very pleased.
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Yes, yes, you did well. Yes, congratulations.
Speaker 1 (01:08:06):
That's about the only thing I have a chance to
compete in anymore but golf.
Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
So yeah, I probably heard something even trying that.
Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
Oh yeah, it's my wife. My wife played well. I
was very proud of her. She came in second. So
we beat our we beat our friends and didn't No
mercy to me, No mercy at all.
Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
No mercy.
Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Okay, that's the way it should be, right. Yeah, you
can only say extend friendship. So far put golf is
not not that it's not the way to do it.
Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
Or our friends are very competitive people and they love
playing games, and the husband in particular is really good
at at games. It just is. I mean, it just
seems like he wins every time. So when whenever you
beat him, you do a happy dance. And I think
we all have friends like that. So it's like Wow,
we finally won. Wow, how did that happen?
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
Yeah, I understand your paid for breakfast, lunch, and supper
for the next month.
Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
Yeah, well, exactly exactly, Tim. Let's go to your your
closer report. We've got some interesting names out there. Let
me get back over here to the big Oh you
mentioned zach Agnes Agnos. How do you pronounce Agnos? With
the Colorado Rockies? So when it tell us about him
and I will prepare my pillow and get to get
(01:09:24):
the better early here.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
Yeah, I was gonna say. He's twenty four years old,
he's got a solid history of working the ninth inning
down the farm back to back successful saves.
Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
I'm willing to bet he gets the next opportunity. It's Colorado.
We know all the risks.
Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
If you're desperate for saves, I think a small bid.
Considering his roster four percent at CBS. The one thing
that's interesting is so far he's not striking anybody out,
and in the minors his stricoup rates were fairly decent.
So I don't know what's happening in a small sample size,
but I'm not putting a lot of weight on it
(01:10:08):
at this point in time soft.
Speaker 1 (01:10:12):
With his splitter and his cutter, so it doesn't look
anything wrong with the stuff. And he's not walking anybody either.
Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:10:20):
So hey, as as a proud owner of too many
closers okay that are currently in platoons, I think he
could break out of a platoon situation in Colorado. And
let's face that they are going to win twenty five
games this year, so they could be fifteen saves there.
Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Yeah. I've just I've spent a lot of time trying
to figure out the Colorado Rockies. What was it the
former Boston pitcher that had real success for a few
years there, But it's been tough. I mean, Ken is
blah blah, Victor Vodnik and it just says on and
on and on it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
Ghost yes, on and on. I agree.
Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
I only it'll cause much to find over if he
can hold onto the job. How good he'll be it
once he does hold onto the job. If jury's completely
out on that one, you saw, it was that worth mentioning.
Speaker 1 (01:11:13):
Got a lot of positive feedback on our discussions on
closers on Friday, particularly from our Patreon members, and people
love the discussion and I think empathized with me that
This is frustrating. They had no answers. It's frustrating. Trying
to find the closers in the modern game is difficult.
Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
Yes, it does have its moments.
Speaker 2 (01:11:39):
And I was a week ahead, but not for the
right reasons.
Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
On Shelby Miller. Does that make man sense?
Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, so it
doesn't really matter you still wait.
Speaker 2 (01:11:54):
True, true, But I was lucky at Miller last weekuse
I know an opportunity to keep the closer by committee
things sort of going with Martinez and Miller. Well, Martinez
suffers a shoulder injury, and so much for the committee thing. Uh,
Miller got converted his first save opportunity. He's in the
driver's seat for more opportunities.
Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
Uh. Last week he didn't pay. This week, you will.
And Kevin Ginkle's lurking there, he is. He's not off
to you.
Speaker 1 (01:12:23):
Bring up every year you bring up Kevin Ginkle. I
have I have part taken in Kevin ginkle bidding processes,
and I'm not doing it this year, which means he's
gonna get thirty saves the rest of the season. I'm
just not there. I'm sorry, Are you okay?
Speaker 3 (01:12:39):
Don't don't be sorry. Don't be sorry. You don't have
to be You've lived it. No, yeah, no, no need
to apologize on that one.
Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
You. I just mentioned Kevin Ginkle because that's what they're
down to, is their number two guy in Arizona, and
they got a good club. Uh, could they possibly look
at bringing somebody into.
Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
Shelby Miller's a good pitcher. Yeah, sure he is, and
I think it doesn't have the stuff that Justin Martinez
has a few do. I would not be at all
surprised if Shelby Miller has a run here for the
next two or three weeks and closes every game or
you know, eight out of nine or something like that,
(01:13:24):
and it's his job. I mean, you could definitely see
that scenario.
Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
Well, yeah, especially with you know, Ginkle's just coming off
the IL okay, so they're going to want to get
him some time.
Speaker 3 (01:13:35):
In before they move I think into the ninth inning.
Speaker 2 (01:13:37):
If Kevin Ginkle ends up in the ninth inning early,
it means that Shelby Miller it just.
Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
Did not work.
Speaker 2 (01:13:44):
And in that case, you could see Arizona looking outside
the organization. Yeah, yeah, it's possible, But for now, Hey,
I think Miller's a guy.
Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
Tim is not giving up the ghost on Kevin Ginkle
I have so.
Speaker 3 (01:14:01):
There is no staking liquor be involved in that discussion.
I don't care what you spot me.
Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
A sex guy is kind of interesting. That's Evan phillips
I mean there's eight closers in Los Angeles. I mean,
why why is his name even on here?
Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
Well, because he earned the save on Friday.
Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
Okay, he's had.
Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
The job before and been very successful at it.
Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
He's gonna he's gonna beat out Tanner Scott for the
primary role.
Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
I traded for Tanner Scott. So wags are good. That
will happen, you know, the way things work. But no,
what it showed to me is the fact that Dave
Roberts he has Dave Roberts trust.
Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
Okay, Dave Roberts wouldn't have.
Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
Thrown him out there in the ninth in if he
didn't believe he was capable of doing it. So he's
got Roberts trust with that that you know, as I said,
that counts, and it does count.
Speaker 3 (01:14:55):
Uh Phillips, Hey.
Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
I think Tanner Scott solidly in the driver's seat for
saves in LA. But does that mean at the end
of the year, he has the most, I don't think so.
I would you be shocked if Evan Phillips ends up
with the same number of saves as Scott, Yes, I would,
or at Kirby Yates possibly.
Speaker 1 (01:15:16):
I would be surprised if if we see Evan Phillips
with a handful of saves here and there, I've got
him and I think my NFC team. But so I
would love to see that. But I think Tanner Scott
just got wicked stuff. And I mean, that's the guy
I think you want closing out your games, I think,
(01:15:36):
but I don't know. I don't run the Los Angeles Dodgers,
but they don't mean me because they're pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
Yeah, but again you start, I agree with you. Tanner
Scott's stuff is filthy. He's got eight saves on the ear.
But what's interesting about Tanner Scott is he's now pitched
four consecutive votings without a save.
Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
No, maybe Bigle and those other and those other four games.
Did somebody else get the save?
Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
Well, obviously the Friday.
Speaker 1 (01:16:10):
Philip Evan Phillips did. But did he pitch on did
he pitch on Friday Night?
Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:16:19):
Yeah, he pitched an interesting but that is interesting, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
What with Dave Roberts and the and the number of
arms that they have to their avail. Can you rule
anyththing out Dodger Land.
Speaker 1 (01:16:34):
Yeah, I'm not taking Cannas Scott out of my starting rotation,
you know, my my starting lineup right, because I'm fearful
at the moment of Evan Phillips. But we could come
back in two weeks and and Evan Phillips could be
squarely in the number one Slott on Tim's chart. I mean,
I could see that, but I'm not going to bet
that now.
Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
No, no, I know I'm not either, but you just
can't put it this way. I think a small bid
this week if you've got the room. He's a guy
that I would I would sit on just to see
what happens.
Speaker 1 (01:17:08):
Absolutely, thank Evan Fiel's a good picture. So I definitely
agree with Tim to me say our fine to break
it back, and let's close this thing off and I'll
share with you and update on my failing bulkhead. Let's
(01:17:34):
see what else we got here. Let's check a look
at the ooh Arizona. The Phillies are coming back seven
to six now against Arizona. Let's see who's done the
damage here for the Phillies. Finally his home run. Wilson
(01:17:54):
with a home run, So that's who's done it there. Okay,
let's see what else is going on with some of
the other games.
Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
The Jay's got close, but they're they're into the fun
part of the Cleveland bullpen right now with the uh
Kate Smith pitching the seventh, Hunter Gaddis the eighth sort
of reverse rolls today and Class A coming in in
the ninth. If those three guys are all firing on
all cylinders, man, that's a tough bullpens. You know, they're
(01:18:24):
gonna lock down a lot of games after the sixth thing.
They really are.
Speaker 1 (01:18:28):
It's good to see Class A back with apparently the
closer gig at least that's what That's what I hope,
because I've got them in several leagues. So that's that's
why I got my fingers crossed on that. Uh So, Timmy,
we talk about first of all, what are you having
for dinner tonight?
Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
What am I having for dinner? I haven't I haven't
figured that out. Jodie's working late, so the freezer is
all mine and I'm probably going to have oh Tourgolini's
and a red sauces like a spaghetti sauce. I haven't
had toward leanis in a while, and I think I've earned.
Speaker 1 (01:19:06):
A There you go, out standing. I mean, we've got
so much leftovers, Timmy, it's I mean lunch meat and
chicken and your name. We've got a ton of stuff.
And Lori is out for the next three days, going
to visit a girlfriend her in Charlotte. So I'll be
eating leftovers for the next couple three days, and then
(01:19:28):
I'm heading back up to New Jersey to drop my
car off and stop by and say hello to my
mom and watch some games along the way, and we'll see.
It should be a good week next week.
Speaker 3 (01:19:39):
Yeah, it sounds like a great way to spend the week. Nothing.
The road trips are cool. Road trips are fun, right.
Speaker 1 (01:19:45):
Always fun, So Timmy, about six weeks ago, two months ago,
I mentioned very discouraged here at our beach house. We
are back of our property is water and there is
there is a ball head on the water to keep
the water from in its place. It's in a it's
in a canal that's connects it to the Inner Coastal Waterway.
(01:20:08):
And the beaches a short par three from our house.
I mean, we're right there. You can see the see
the water, hear the water, et cetera. And our bulkhead
has failed. It It wasn't put in right, according to
the three people that came over and took a look
at it. And the person that seems to have time
to fix it is a good looking guy named Hunter,
(01:20:31):
and Hunter was going to bring in this. He's going
to bring bring in a huge machinery and take it
over the bulkhead so that he could dig out my
backyard and fix it. Well, turns out there's something wrong
with his barge. We're up against it, so he's actually
going to bring in a smaller machine and come through
the gate in our yard. So we don't have those
(01:20:52):
pictures coming up, but he arrives tomorrow to dig out
our backyard and to fix our bulkhead. So with any
hopefully by the end of the week that will be
done as well. So big week here, so I'll be
taking pictures for all our patron members.
Speaker 2 (01:21:07):
Okay, well, I wish you all the best with that,
because you certainly don't need your backyard falling into a
canal that no that's not gonna people's backyards.
Speaker 1 (01:21:19):
People's bad that does happen. Their backyards do fall in
the canal, and it's not a pretty slide cell.
Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
So no, no, no, no, you don't don't want that appening.
So I wish Hunter all the best and getting most
repairs repairs security.
Speaker 1 (01:21:34):
Yeah. Hunter came by and was marking off the yard
yesterday and you know, my wife and uh one of
our friends was here and he leaves and my wife
and Frando. That is a good looking man as he is,
so so he is. He's a dream boat to me.
So I don't really care. Just fix my damn yard,
That's all I care.
Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
I was gonna say, yeah, your your priorities. Yeah, or.
Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
In the South they call you by your first name.
So he calls me mister Rich, So I'm mister Rich. Yeah,
I'm like, okay, I'm mister Rich. That's that's who I am. Timmy,
this has been fun. You did a great job with
the wave report as usual. Any final comments for our listeners.
Speaker 2 (01:22:21):
Well, yeah, don't be like Tim who has Anthony Volpe
as his short stop in a short small format league
and Heraldo Perdomo in reserve as one of his few
reserve bets. Don't be like Timmy okay and start Bulby
Gate day after day and leave Perdomo on your bench
(01:22:42):
because he's three for four with two runs, two RBIs
and two stolen bases. If you got Perdomo, I don't
care who you got to short stop finding way you
get him in there.
Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
This kid's thought was I thought was banged up.
Speaker 3 (01:23:00):
Maybe maybe maybe he is just further reinforcement.
Speaker 1 (01:23:04):
Don't be like, yeah, let's see if he's playing.
Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Yeah, no, he's not. Yeah, he might be banged up.
I must miss that. Yeah, yeah, oh but Pomo is
just tearing it up, by the way.
Speaker 1 (01:23:18):
Yeahdler simps Tandler Simpsons with another Simpson with another stolen base,
a couple more hits, now hitting three O two with
six stolen bases. He's up the bat now against Corrosco,
so you know, they move pro Carlos Carrosco to the bullpen.
So it's seven to two, Tampa is beating the Yankees.
It could be it could be several more runs scored
(01:23:40):
by the Tampa Bay Rays. I mean Corosco is done.
Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
I think yeah, I think so as well.
Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
And hey, if if Simpson gets gets over the first base.
There could be several more stolen bases today.
Speaker 1 (01:23:52):
It could be. I mean, they are up seven to two,
but it's pretty fascinating stuff to take fun, show great stuff.
Follow us out at the Patreons. I P A t
r o n dot com forward slash prospect through sixty
one to me until next Friday.
Speaker 2 (01:24:05):
Be well, my friend, Be safe, be well, and have
a fun road trip, my friend,
