We're at nine hundred and ninety nine followers, one away

(00:50):
from one thousand, so if somebody's new for the first
time follow us, let's go. That's a big mark. Let's go.
Let's do that. Let's get that going. Welsh. You got
your banana hat on the other. I think it was
last weekend. I was watching the Savannah Bananas were actually
on ESPN, I believe, because they don't really believe in
sports anymore, so now they're just show in Savannah Banana games,
and I found them entertaining and sort of at the

(01:13):
same time. That's my feeling about the banana, you know,
Like I know, some people just love it. They can't
get innov it. That's the greatst thing. Ever. I find
it trying at times.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I don't know, I actually think it's super funny that
you're doing this, because I had this moment today. I
swear to God, we didn't talk about this, but at
this moment today when I grabbed my hat and I
like had this realization that like I was before a
lot of the characters for a while, and everyone's super
excited about it's very trendy, very well, like no one
had it, and I had this moment where I was like,

(01:42):
I think we might be in a stage where this
hat is going to feel like very front runnery. I
feel the hata because the bananas are not They're not
lie anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
One of my daughters, I have yucked your young which
is a horrible phrase. Okay, please, Yeah, I just ye here,
but I apologize.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, that is kind of what you did. But I
had I did have this feeling that this hat might
now more represent something that people are like, we're done
with this as soon as they started filling football stadium's worth.
People are done with the bit and the stick of
jumping and flipping and fire bats and stuff. They do
need some move Well.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I mean, I think I think it's and I think
it's kind of things that people get will get sick
of it, and then I mean, I guess you could
say it's like the Harlem Globetrial's thing. It lasts forever,
you know, but.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Just they're not getting sick of it. They're selling a
house now.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
But the Globetrotters, like in the seventies and eighties were
like that too, and then eventually it went away, you know,
eventually it just kind of died out. So you know,
everything has its except that we're timeless. That's what we
are here. Let's get to the baseball. Sorry to yuck
you'r yum. I'm gonna make that a thing on All
the Show's Football Baseball. I might make a segment in
football this year about yucking people's yum.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
You know what, remember remember that whole We're gonna do
merch like what you do in the show. You can
have a Joe yucks you're yum.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
There we go one thousand. See look at that. See
that conversation alone, that put us over the top. Thank you,
Peanuts and Cracker Jacks. Let's start with Junior Camanaro today,
four for five, two ribies. What a turnaround to the season.
You know, Welsh, about six weeks ago we were hearing
a lot of negativity about the Junior Caminaro. People were
losing faith, losing hope. This guy has been absolutely red hot.

(03:25):
I mean we're talking lightning striking everywhere on fire. He's
been so good. Uh and part of the I think
the big reason why the Rays are where they are
right now. Over his last twenty five games. Check this
slash out you're ready three twenty three, three eighty five,
six ninety seven with twenty eight RBI twenty five runs
scored in one hundred plate appearances. And that, my friend,

(03:48):
is red hot.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Remember when I ruined someone's draft, that's right, personally ruined
his draft because I told him, I made him, I
forced him, I put him down on the I said,
you take junior Cameronaro, you get the hell out of here,
and I ruined his season. Well, guess what, I'm yucking
all over his yum right now, or I'm yumming over
the yuck because Junior Cameron Aro definitely has been awesome.

(04:13):
I will say, bring it back a little bit as
far as like incredible. You know, like the average is
still a little stinky. It's two sixty four, two seventy
two expected. He hasn't pulled and I know this is
a good or bad thing. He hasn't done one of
those where he hits three point fifty for a month.
But also that might show that he isn't like crazy streaky.

(04:36):
He's just been consistently like two fifty to two seventy
across the board. I will say, what's really really interesting
is the quality of contact he's hitting across all different
pitch types. Last year, if you I've talked about run
value against pitch types, last year, he had one true
positive run value of like what pitches he really saw?
I guess he saw some curveballs, but it was forcing fastballs.

(04:58):
This year, sinkers, slide and fastballs all have positive run
values against. He's making quality contact, and I think that
comparison that I think I threw out a little while
back that he's kind of like our new Many Machado.
You know, he's like gonna hits. He's not going to
steal bases. He hits for really good power. He's probably
going to the only reason he's not going to mirror

(05:19):
Many Machada stats this year because Many decided to run.
But I think he Miro and that is his mentor
idol whatever is Many Machado, and I think he mirrors
a lot of that fastest bat in baseball, and he's
holding it down for better for worse. Without the streaks,
he's one of the more prominent power hitters out there
right now. Seventeen homers.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Unfortunately for the Rays, TODs Bradley was on the mountain
in that same game and seven runs, six of them,
earned six hits in one of the third innings against
the Orioles. Gross you know, Todz Bradley, I think is
a picture with talent. If you can't get right with
the Rays organization, I feel like that's a big red
flag to me going forward in dynasty keeper leagues. I
think I'm i don't have any shares this year of

(06:00):
TODs Bradley. Had a bunch last year and I've been
a supporter of his, but I think I've seen enough
so far this season where I've just seen enough of
Tosh Bradley. What do you think?

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah, I'm kinda I'm a little bit. I don't know
if I've seen enough. He's just gone through so much
with this team where it was like, remember they scrapped
in the minors his cutter, and that's kind of come back.
You know, he's started three pitches he's throwing in like
the ninety mile per hour range. I think the big
expectation was like that split finger to be better, and
it just really hasn't. It's given up a higher batting

(06:32):
average this year. The whiffs have gone down. I think
that really ends up hurting it. There's no whiffs to
be had on the fastball, and that cutter is just
the race really didn't seem to know what to do
with it. So I kind of think, like how old
is he right now? Like twenty four?

Speaker 1 (06:46):
He is twenty TODs Bradley is twenty four.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
So TODJ to young, but TODJ to me is going
to be one of those guys where he's like twenty
seven and it's all gonna click, Like he's going to
be like a top fifteen guy, the cutter. Though he
might not be with the Rays, and he might be
on the precipice of like being a free agent and traded.
It just might be a guy for him to be
an elite player. It might take him a couple more years.

(07:09):
And I think he's a turn to ten team, doesn't
even need it, twelve team if there's anything out there.
He honestly, he might be kind of a turnstyle. If
you have streaming options, you could you could move to
that because the five era is not great. But we'll
say three point seven eight expected era with okay strikeouts.
If the strikeouts came up and the expected ra started
to come in, he would be a serviceable fantasy guy.

(07:30):
But he's not.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
The Yankees keep losing, so do the Mets. Thank goodness
that there's two teams in New York so we can
enjoy all this losing at one time, right, Welsh, right, Welsh.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Was I like I a no pun intended an island
on that whole thing, Like, guys don't need two teams.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Of course we do. It's a massive place. There's so
many people.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
He used to all out the Yankees. Does Chicago need too?
Does the Chicago White Sox and the Cubs.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
It's a massive city with amount of people. Yes, in
the suburbs. Yes.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
What about Nashville?

Speaker 1 (08:03):
What about NASA? It's called the Rays, don't you Nebraska
should have a team too, it's called the Athletics. Don't
go to Vegas.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Do you want the Montana White Sox?

Speaker 1 (08:12):
I want the hen of Montana White Sox. But how
about the Braves and Chrissale? Who, dude, Let me remind you.
I said this about two weeks ago, maybe a week ago,
about Chris Sale and the Cy Young Award. Now that
number is plus fourteen hundred, and I gotta tell you
I octed in if plus fifteen, it's gone down to
fourteen eight and two thirds shutout innings, Just incredible outing

(08:36):
for him, just dominated the Mets or all acuni at
a home run in that game too, and by the way, Acunya.
Since he's come back in May twenty third, no one
has a higher batting average three ninety, a higher on
base of four ninety five, or a higher slugging at
seven twenty than Ronald Acunya. So guess what, he's fine.
But Chris Sale, I'm telling you right now, you better
bet this because I feel like that is going If

(08:58):
the Braves get hot and they're in the press of
of sweeping the Mets and then they go out there
and they kick the crap out of the Phillies, guess what,
that schedule gets easier. The Braves are going to be
not only in the playoff race, but in the hunt
for potentially that division by the dog days of August.
It's not impossible, especially with the injuries to the Mets rotation.
I'm telling you right now, Chris Sale might be looking
at it back to back.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Just saying I know Skeins and Yama Moto are above
who else.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
That's it. That's it.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
It's like plus two hundred plus two hundred and then
goes to fifteen hundred on FanDuel.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
It was very close. It's a huge xact numbers in
a second. But how about while you're while I'm looking
for that, how about the Ronald Okunya return, just red
hot return, which is a nice change of pace because
typically when guys have come back from injuries this year,
it's been sluggish, especially the pitcher.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Yeah, and I want to talk about sale though, but
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
It's Paul Skeen's minus three eighty, Zach Wheeler plus twelve hundred,
Chrissale plus fourteen Yama Moto twenty to one.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Okay, Yeah, Wheeler was the one I gave out a
long time, so just to finish on sale real quick,
I was texting with again this is another day shout out,
but Dennis Sidler because he is friends with Chris Sales.
There's articles written about it, and he was able to
get us that awesome giveaway of the Chris Sales stuff.
In the preseason, we were talking about just how absurd
Sale was, Sales pumping high high nineties, and the ninetieth

(10:16):
pitch had this incredible diving catch at like pitch one
oh six and was one batter away from a complete game,
a thirty six year old complete game one hundred. He
had one hundred and sixteen pitches and guy got on,
so he had to get out of the game and
they had Iglaciers come in. But you know, I just
don't disagree with what you're saying here. The wins would
be great if he was up, but he's got a

(10:37):
two and a half YLRA, He's got an incredible thirty
percent strikeout rate. His expected numbers tell the same story
he is. What is silly is how far the gap
is between all these guys like Wheeler and Sales should
be near each other, but that they're so far away
from Yamamoto in the schemes.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
It's gonnah No, Yamamoto's behind them, is what I'm saying. Oh,
he was behind on Sale is three Wheelers two a
plus twelve hundred, Yamamoto is twenty to one, Skeins being
minus three eighty I think is Look, I love Paul Skeins.
He is super fun. But but I mean, meaningful games
do matter, I think and if Chris Sale is one
of the reasons why the Braves get back. And I

(11:16):
have money on Rona Kunya by the way as well,
for Comeback Player of the Year. I bet it before
the season started and I got a great number on it.
I couldn't believe the plus money I got on it.
I just look, Skeins is brilliant, I get it, But
his ability to crack double digit wins this wins this
year is terrifying. I just don't know if they do it.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
The main thing that stands out is it's just like
the gap shouldn't be as big. It really shouldn't. Skeens
has him on Eira at one point seven to eight.
He's got him in Whip at point eight five, but
he has a four and six record. He has one
strikeout more than innings pitched. And I know that's not
the be all end all, but Sale has got one
hundred and fourteen strikeouts to eighty nine innings. He's got

(11:55):
a five and four record and the same amount of starts.
He's got a two and a half ye array. My
point as the Sale can be the number one, but
it shouldn't be like minus three hundred whatever, blah blah blah.
It should be closer. It's actually not a bad bet
in uh. The biggest win to play our little game
here is that buy of Chris Sale at the first
of the month was really incredible. But he's been awesome.

(12:16):
I trust him and he's going to be like a
big fantasy winner for anyone that got him.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Think about this too, you know, at some point, Paul
Skans I think is going to wear down in August
and September two a little bit because He's never thrown
two hundred innings. That's not happening.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
I mean, he threw a lot of inning. I'm forgetting
the innings now.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
He gets last year.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah, but in college, I mean they used him through there.
I don't think what hurts him more. And this is
the rason of those games hurts him the most. Ye,
That's where I'm getting in the second half of the season.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
The thing that three and three last year in the
mid leagues.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah, But the thing that's going to hurt him the
most across the board is that he is on just
an absolutely atrocious team. He's on a team that's going
to keep losing. It's going to trade off pieces. Paul
Skins is a legitimate shot to not get the double
digit wins. Can you give a cy Young to a
guy with nine wins who has a two ERA or
do you need to look at the guys that are
on champion you know, winning playoff based teams like Chris

(13:13):
Sale and Zach whether that's gonna be the real tough.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
And winning but like, how about like picking a team
up by its haunches and carrying it through the time.
It was terrible back into relevancy because that's what Chris
Sale's doing right now. Strider up until recently had been terrible.
The Braves have been pretty awful collectively, Chris Sale has
been the shining star. I mean, Schrollenback's been good. I
don't want to I'll take too much away from him,
but it's a Cooniya of return. But before that, it
was Sale keeping them just and also hanging on.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
You might have the Rookie of the Year and Drake Baldwin,
because Baldwin has done the same thing. And the only
thing on Acuonia I'd say is the reason that he is.
I mean, I think it is silly little homeers that,
like you know, Cormyn Carroll is not in like the
top three of fan voting for the All Star Game.
But the reason not only because fans are ridiculous and
shouldn't have a vote and just vote on their favorite player,

(13:58):
but actually Akunya does kind of deserve that top three
spot in the outfield because of like what you said,
since his return, he's pretty much been like the number
one outfield, the number one player out there, and he's
been carrying this team as well. So you know, not
much to like analyze about both of those guys unless
you don't believe things are going to continue. Acuna is
clearly not running, and I think that hurts a little

(14:19):
bit of the fantasy value.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
It's not going to be a degree. Now, let's give
it time. Let's give it that.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
I just okay, what is he out right now?

Speaker 1 (14:25):
One? Yeah? But I mean he's been back for what
two weeks?

Speaker 2 (14:29):
No? No, I know, I want okay. So he's got
eighty two at bats, ninety nine played appearances, he has
one stolen base the rest of season, or let's just
do a full number. Do you think he has if
I said it at twenty point five over under stolen bases,
Ronald A Kunya, that's great number.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
I think that's a great number. I'm going to go
just under like nineteen or eighteen.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
I'm going to go under two.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Yeah. No, that's fine, But next year, I don't I
think the gloves come off. Shout out to b Reynolds
for being our thousandth person following here on twitch shots.
Very cool of you, Thanks Reynolds, and of course last
win Kid just subbed as well. Sub with prime right now,
that's what you want to do. Some other news and
notes from yesterday Ranger Suarez four hits, one run, two walks,
eight k's to ching. We got that run line on

(15:15):
the Marlins and Garrett Kroschet. Luckily for Welsha and myself.
If you watched the live shom yesterday, it was pretty
entertaining and go back and watch it. One run, six innings,
struck out eight in a win over the Mariners. Welsh
and I both have crochet in Fantasy pros leagues where
we're playing respective we do get in the playoffs, and
both of us are playing whiles she's playing the president
of Fantasy Bros. I'm playing our our boss of content.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
So if respective we're trying to demolish our bosses, that.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Yeah, So if we're not here next week, then you
know that we're in the playoffs. That's that's basically it
find us in barjar real quick.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Really interesting stat Seth. This is why Seth is a
plus producer. Seth said, So outside of the twenty twenty
COVID year, the last cy Young Award winner with less
than ten wins Eric Kanye two thousand and three, Eric
Ganyi reliever. If you forget about that, so it's still
no starting pitcher. I would now be curious not counting COVID,
so that to see if you can find it. The

(16:14):
last pitcher that didn't have starting pitcher that didn't have
ten wins in the season, That would be a really
interesting one to find.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Who was the twenty twenty s young Winners. Oh my god,
it was Trevor Bauer.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Yeah, Bauer with the Reds right.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Especially, yes, the Reds.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Yeah, yeah, because he went Reds and then he went
to the Dodgers after that.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Addison bars are three for four. Good night for him.
He continues to be great, one of our favorite waiver pickups.
Like about a month ago we were talking about him
and hopefully you picked him up. By the way, there's
a lot of rumblings in a couple of different outlets here,
especially after how it's gone for the Mets against the
Braves and how this pitching has gone, a lot of
rumblings about Jacob deGrom bringing him home, making it right,
doing all this stuff. I'm just saying, like, I don't

(17:03):
think here, here's the deal. I give you Francisco Alvarez,
Ronnie Mauricio, and uh yes McLain for Jacob de.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Gram that first off, they'll never happen. They'll never that
that is so dramatically too much. Yes, they would, they
would say yes instantly. I'm not sure for to Grom
that you could get any singular one of those players.
Maybe Mauricio zero point zero percent chance you could get that.

(17:37):
For Francisco Alvarez, maybe you could get.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Mccles not endearing himself right now, he is, Uh.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Yeah, I know, the dude calling the different pitch and whatever.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
The Mexican's not.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Just that, it's other things too. It's it's a myriad
of issues.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
But haven't we discussed that, Like that division is still
I'm not looking at the standings, but isn't that division
still within grasp?

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Everything is within grass.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Built to win. That team is built to win. I
think to probably be a great trade piece, but I
just depends on the hell.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Of depends on the health of Vivaldi and Molly though
at this point, I guess the thing it's like those
guys aren't coming back. That I don't think it is.
I mean, the Rangers are seven games out of first
they are two games out of the wildcard right now.
That's the problem. Too close to a card, too close,
give it a couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
But the Rangers keep losing, might get the lad She
doesn't have time to sit around and have a rebuilding
team respectively.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
No, no, he does not, but you know, hey, they
just won a World Series, so I mean that's fine.
Let's do rookie lookies because there's a lot of good
stuff here. Cam Smith again two days in a row,
making the show three for four over the last two days.
His batting average is jump from two fifty three to
two seventy six, and two days Nick Kurtz drove in

(18:47):
a pair of runs, hit a homer. He was three
for four. He's getting hot. Brady House two for four.
We talked about him. Marcello Mayor hit a home run
and walked, I wish he would do other things besides
hit home runs, but it's nice to hit home runs.
And she had one run for We did breakdowns of
Sheehan House all on the latest Waiver Wire video pickups,
so make sure you watch that video on the YouTube channel.

(19:08):
And maybe even most intriguing, Chase Burns seven strikeouts, one run,
seven innings on Wednesday and triple A Welsh Chase Burns
is pushing for that rotation sooner than later, So all
Star break it feels like he might get a shot
somewhere after that, don't you think.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Yeah. I mean I talked about on the livestream that
I said he this last start he had, which was yesterday,
was a good one. I think I thought it was seven,
and seven looks like it was. I think it's two
or three more starts and we're gonna, like legitimately start
wanting to look at Chase Burns in the majors. And
I think that lines up, like you said post All
Star game, maybe they should even shut him, maybe get
like one or two starts to give him a little

(19:48):
bit of a break and then he comes back up.
I mean, part of it might end up as is,
you know, the majority of these are might be about
important about the division. But guess what. The Reds are
second in the NLC. They're six and a half back there,
tied with the Milwaukee Brewers right now in the division.
And from a wildcard standpoint is this is trying to
load here. The Reds are half a game back in

(20:12):
the wildcard. So guess what time to be aggressive?

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Friends and Burns and Burns and Lodolo's got what ten
quality starts? Now? I think you got up too all
of a sudden, he's been a little bit of a
run Dolz, Dude, he's been solid. Seth had another good
nugget for us. We love the stat nugget. So the
last pitcher throw one hundred innings, win less than ten games,
and win the Cy Young was another reliever, Willy Hernandez
in nineteen eighty four for the Detroit Tigers on their

(20:38):
way to a World Series. So Jack Morris, Willy Hernandez.
That's right, little Chet Lemon, Little Lou Whittaker, Sweet Lou Whitaker,
Alan Trammel, Kirk Gibson, fun times in the mid eighties
for Detroit's, right Chet. All right, let's do some three
up and three down. Let's start with Mitchell Parker. Six hits, run,

(21:00):
eight k's for him. But they lost to the Rockies,
which is kind of So if you lose to the
worst team in baseball, is that mean you the worst
team in baseball? Just curious?

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Well, Bryce Elder struck out fifteen Rockies and lost ten
to one, So no, just.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Say, all right, Michael Garcia three to four with a
three run homer, Gred Holmes it yet, Boba shit through
for five with the dinger, the downs, Patrick Corbin six hits,
four runs, two walks in five innings. Justin Verlander return
wasn't so great four and two, third, four runs, three earned.
It's over for Verlin. I mean, if you're still holding
out Hope, I think you're just wrong. Would you rather

(21:34):
have Emmit Chihan or Justin Verlander.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Over the next month? I don't want.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
I don't think wow, zero chill from the Welsh on that.
I not think we'll be that quick. Wow. Bailey over
allowed four runs, five and two. Thirdly, he's over trash
for the last.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Taur Bailey over is his new nickname. Also want to
point out in the ups and downs, just quickly, Michael
Garcia might be the most underrated player in fantasy. I
just forget about him. I think everybody just kind of does.
And then you look and see what he's put up
three eighteen average, eight homers, fifteen stolen bases, just quietly
just one of like the most ridiculous fantasy seasons for

(22:10):
practically free. And if he lines out, he I mean,
he's projecting to be a fifteen to thirty guy, legitimately
might be a twenty thirty guy. He is maybe the
most underrated player in fantasy.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
Wait, who is that you were mentioning?

Speaker 2 (22:22):
MIKEL. Garcia?

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Oh, Garcia, Y's what I thought you were talking about. Okay, yeah,
I obnestly I didn't realize that. And it's on such
a bad offense too. You'd think he has.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Held everything up and the profile looks so great, doesn't.
Chase doesn't. With hitting the ball harder, you know, forty
four than it was last year, barreling it up, getting
the ball in the air, he just makes really great decisions.
He's pulling the air, pulling the ball on the air more,
and he's an aggressive base dealer. If the Royals get hot,
it's going to be in part because MIKEL. Garcia keeps

(22:51):
going so again fifteen thirty, he just might be absolutely
going off, just so underrated.

Speaker 1 (22:56):

Nope, I've already I've come up with a great use

gonna make an AI Joe like you just frozen.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
It's perfect.

I think what I might do is I will get
just a picture, We'll have a static picture, and we'll
just have like AI versioned reads for you so I
don't have to do them.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah, that's the plan. Yeah, I see. I see what
cousin Donnie did here, very smooth. Didn't seem hard for
you at all. I see what you did there, See
what you did there?

Speaker 2 (24:46):
See you, Donny?

Speaker 1 (24:47):
There you go. All right, let's get to the injuries.
Not that many today. Gorbyn Carroll was removed. He got
hit on the hand X rays or negative.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
So that's a good thing you stayed in sure too
that they were freaking out on the broadcast by the way,
They're like they're down a to one. Get him out
of here. He's the franchise. He decided to stay in.
Everything's fine, he's good.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Everything's fine, everything's fine. Just right here.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
It's like this guy, everything's fine, no problem here.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Mac Sure's are eight strikeouts, four and a third shutout
innings in triple A, so maybe you'll see Max Schur's
are coming. So you know, that's theoretically it could be
a huge addition for that Blue Jay rotation, especially because
about in France it's just one on the iol right,
so it's easy just slide them right in there, and
it's like acquiring a starter, right kind of, because they've
been keeping pace and they're still relevant at this point
the Blue Jays. So I don't know what church you

(25:32):
got left in the tank, but it'll be interesting to see.
Michael king Erlander is gonna be out through the All
Star break. I hate to say I told you so,
but I told you so. It's not good. The only
thing worse than that is Frankie Montass. He ain't coming back, Folks.
Five runs, five innings, triple A start. He has been awful.
He's given up eight home runs in his rehab starts.
I don't know what's wrong. I don't know what's going

(25:54):
on with him. But if the means to bring him up.
That is suicide for this rotation. I think he cut
him loose.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
What do you think, Well, if we had a Kaisa
Treks read a great transition because he's coming, Uh Matt
Frankie Montas is going to be there whether you like
it doesn't matter any of the bad Triple A starts.
He's going to be in your rotation. He's coming.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Oh, Christian Hobber, remember him. He's gonna face live hitters
is Friday and batting practice. So that's another guy. Maybe
you see Christian Javier July first. Maybe that's right first,
August first, maybe like thinking realistically, August first, maybe a
stash first, maybe never. Who knows. Marcus Stroman, he's still bad.

(26:36):
Three runs to earned a double A. I know I
did not go, but watch him, Pitton.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
You should have gone. It was summerset. You don't want
to make any friends. His brother was at the.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Football last night. We had too much football this week.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
I don't know if Stroman would have been I don't
know if you and Stroman would get a well. Stroman
likes to like get into the.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Weeds with it.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
I don't I have this hilarious story we did in
ital like two years ago with Rio Cohen, where like
Marcus Stroman like was like threatening Ario Cohen. It's like
one of the it's one I see.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
I remember that.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
I read that all Marcus Stroman did was sent like
it send a picture of him shirtless with his pit
bulls or something at Mariol and Arold took it like
a threat. It's like it's one of my favorite things
of all time. But the side note, Uh, his brother
Jaden Stroman is at the MLB combine right now, two
way player through ninety six. He's like seventeen year old.

(27:31):
He might be more of a position player. I think
he was a shortstop. But he went on the mound
and threw ninety six ninety seven with a really good slider.
So you know, we might not be seeing we might
not have seen the best Stroman in the majors yet.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
I'm looking at the list here of say young guys.
So Jacob mcgram in twenty eighteen was ten and nine
with a one seven zero era like what crowd he
had a look at. He had a war of nine
point four that year with unbelieve.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Seth said here he says, I don't think it's ever
been done. No starting pitcher has never won the less
than ten games and gone to win the cy young
So you know ten, you found a ten, but there's
never been under ten.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Well, and Willie Hernandez is a reliever, had ten.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
But again, to be fair, there's there's at least fifteen
more starts probably usually lines to maybe twenty. So it's like,
what's the race.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
No, he doesn't have twenty starts.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
He has fifteen starts. On the air, there's usually like
thirty to thirty five on the season, so.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
No schemes at best will make thirty two starts. Okay,
So like he.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
Has fifteen starts, so that's seventeen more starts. So if
he needs to win six to get to ten, that's
like a thirty three per roughly. I'm not doing the
math perfectly because I'd be eighteen starts. That's roughly a thirty.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Three got Steiner math.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Yeah, eight two percent exactly.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
Yeah, that into mine, that's a sixty six six.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Percent roughly thirty five percent winning percent he has to
have through the rest of the season, which is very obtainable.
It's just it's the pirates. So we'll see he beers
back today.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Can we get that clip. That's one of my favorite things.
Maybe I don't know if we can get that.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Scott Steiner talking percentages next to Scott Steiner talking about
his map.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Scott Steiner math, he's got seventeen starts left and that
means thirty three to third of those starts they gotta
be quality starts for him to get a win in
the If they're scoring time us runs, oh so good.
Also bad news Cole Reagan's shut down for throwing for

(29:36):
at least two additional weeks before being re evaluated. Before
you tell him that it's never happening again. It's not
coming back. Don't hold your breath, make plans now, don't wait. Also,
you don't have to wait any longer because it's time
for the best bets of the day with Joey p
and the Welsh. All right, so I'm going with San
Francisco on the run line minus one and a half

(29:56):
plus one twenty two. He got Logan Webb on the mound.
Also when that cy young Mick. He's been terrific this
year going against the Guardians. The Giants have a little juice,
little life that raffi devonstrate. I love what they've done there,
so give me San Francisco there Webin right at the
top of that rotation have been terrific. Spencer Strider over
seven and a half k's plus one twenty two plus
money on it. It's right, I'm buying in. Let's go

(30:17):
against the Mets. Mets are sputtering a little bit right now.
Atlanta's punching him right in the Cajones, and I think
the Braves are going to sweep the Mets. You heard
it here first kids, and then give me the Dodgers
with Yamamodo against the Padres tonight on the run line
minus one and a half minus won twenty six. So
those are my bets of the day. Welsh, what do
you have?

Speaker 2 (30:36):
We are going to go to Christopher Sanchez. Christopher Sanchez
up against the Marlins over five and a half strikeouts.
I'm always in this market. I mean, he definitely has
some of those games where you know, the strikeouts started
starting to lighten up, but I just love the matchup.
I'm surprised this is close to even money. So Chris
Sanchez over five and a half strikeouts. I talked about

(30:57):
Drew Rasmussen on the trade video. He has been phenomen
this year, the strikeouts really haven't quite been there. This
is a relatively low number. It's a volatile Orioles team.
Of course, they definitely can get into that strikeout market.
But Rasmusen has actually failed to get to over five
strikeouts in six of his last nine games. So I
think this one is definitely live with high plus money.

(31:18):
And this is a little bit of a bank on
maybe the start of the regression. You know, over full
expected ray higher than his actual era. So I'm betting
against Drew Rasmussen at plus money for under four and
a half strikeouts, and then you are New York Mets
first five money line plus money on the first five.
I'm going to take it under Clay Holmes give it

(31:40):
to me plus money plays Chris Sanchez, Rasmusen and Mets
first five money line. Those are my best bets of
the day.

Speaker 1 (31:46):

the home run board. We got one today, Yes we do,
Walkee Penguin, look at Wonkey back up at twenty three.
I'm still right outside the.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Board of time.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
I think r I think we're both at twenty, both
at twenty. We're both at twenty and I feel it today.
Welsh Sammy Soilsa Jersey's still on the line. I'm feeling it.
Ron Acunia plus four fifty the knife in the Heart
of the Mets today. Let's go plus four to fifty.
At least I can enjoy this game by winning money
on Strider and getting on the home run board with
a Kuonia Welsh. Where you going for your home call?

Speaker 2 (33:00):
I'm going off the beaten path a little bit. I'm
gonna pick on the little baby ballpark in Sacramento, and
I'm going to go on the other side with the A's.
Give me Eastcoc Preatus, Estock preatus leading that team in Homers.
He is a fly ball pull heavy hitter. This is
what he does, and he does it great, and you're
gonna put it in a little baby ballpark. Estoc parades

(33:20):
for the Homer gimme, gimme, gimmey.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
I thought we were closer.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
I thought I was a twenty never mind.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Yeah, nineteen and twenty. Oh my god, nineteen eighteen. We're
still far away. Boo. All right, Ronald, get to today.
Let's go, Ronald. I gotta get up there.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
Neither one of us can rent a car our Homers
can't rent a car as which.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
Yeah, is the problem, not yet, but Ken date, Leonardo DiCaprio.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Why can't By the way, why can you legally buy
cigarettes at eighteen. You can legally drink at twenty one,
but you can't rent a car until you're twenty. What
what's the logic you can drive?

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Hard to do with insurance issues of youthful drivers in experience,
It hasn't to do worth experience of driving.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
And eighteen year olds can get insured on their own cars.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
They can, just not on your car that you're lending them.
Think about how many teenagers you want to lend your car.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
I don't want to. I just just.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Think about that. Think about that your teenage nephew comes
over and says, hey, I need to borrow the car
to run to the wall wall for Schwarberfest or whatever.
You're really trust in him? I don't know. I mean
maybe no, But you can't go over the pet of your stomach.
You're not feeling good about it.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
They can, you can gamble, you can drink, you can
do all all the things, except you can't.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
You can't gamble in the casino at eighteen. I think
I'll be twelve.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
I mean also saying twenty one, Well.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
There's there's there's laws, and there's rules in a country
of law.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
We follow those rules.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Right there, we go the insurance rates go up with
younger drivers. They charge them. It's the overhead of the company.
See look at that businessman cousin Donnie giving us the
giving us the shout.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
It's not important to me, by the way, It's just
something I'm thinking about, like, why can they do.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
You gotta be twenty one in Arizona to buy cigarettes?

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Maybe that changed.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
I don't know. I haven't seen someone smoke a cigarette
in a long time. I see everybody vaping.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
I've been to Walmart, so I've seen it.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
So well. You have in Arizona too. Arizona is a
different place. It's different, it's special. Do we do we
don't do we have the Scott Steiner clip. I don't
know if we have it.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Oh, I don't know. If they were ready to I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
I was just if we have it, I'd love to
show it. If not, maybe tomorrow, hear me, it's so funny.
It's maybe tomorrow. We'll get that. But either way, fun
show today. I'll get it tomorrow. Okay, fine, we'll have
it tomorrow. And also tomorrow's Friday. We have you Friday.
So you want to do some all star voting?

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Huh oh yeah, So we talked about that, but we
need listener participation because the idea is is we would
both present our All Star. Are we going to do
nl N AL So we're gonna it's gonna take a
little while. We would present the All Star only one
at each right, yes, because then if we have a
tie to player or we have no if we have

(36:01):
a different player, than the audience has to vote the
vote between those two. Yeah. So, like you know, just arguably,
if I had you know, Corbyn Carroll is the outfielder
and Joe had Fernando Tati, Joe Field.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Is gonna get tricky. I think like if I if
you had, if I had pee A Lonzo and you
said Freddy Freeman, then we would That's a better one.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
That's a much better way than the audience gets to it.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Up right away. Yeah, y at the end of it
full circle. That'll do it for us, But the story
of the game goes on for the Welsh. I'm Joey P.
We'll see you next time.
