Speaker 1 (00:05):
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros MLB. This is leading
off live. It is me, Joey p Jope's appear with
me as a sad Welsh. Sad Welsh is here today.
Why we'll tell you in just a moment. But we're happy.
At least I'm happy to be here with the Peanuts
and the Crackerjacks here on our twitch Twitch dot tv
slash Fantasy Pros. That's the place to be every single

(00:25):
day Monday through Friday. You could also watch us, of
course on the YouTube channel Fantasy Ros MLB, where if
you subscribe and drop a coment blow you could win
a cescil field or throwback jersey for Pristine Auction dot com.
That's right. Subscribe to Fantasy Ros MLB. Drop your comments
like this video too while you're at it. We appreciate you,
oh Welsh Welsh. If I could send a virtual hug
your way, I would. But there's a silver lining, which

(00:48):
at least the Diamondbacks know now they're really out of it,
because the news broke yesterday that Corby and Carroll as
a fracture in the wrist. He's gonna miss significant time.
Josh nail Or also left that game with an injury,
Carbon Burns is out and joanos War is on the
trade block. So look, well, I just want you to

(01:09):
understand this is what's like to be a met fan.
Your season's usually over by the time we get to
July fourth anyway, So you know this is a tough
learning curve for you with all that Diamondback success the
last couple of years. But how you holding up? Buddy Hey,
So instead of there's dark Joe and then there's Blue Welsh,
he's just blue. He's just sad.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Yeah, we'll turn it on, We'll get rid of it. Yeah,
Diamonback season's over. If you look at I got a
tweet out there. I'm preparing my children. I had to
figure out how to explain the Diamondback season to my kids,
so I purchased them the book All my Friends Are
Dead Dinosaur on it. So that is how I'm explaining
the Diamondback season to my kids. So I suggest you

(01:53):
all do the same if you have a team like
the Diamondbacks. It's actually crazy. We could smell this coming.
We felt as soon as it was like three four days.
We're like, this is not good with Corbyn Carroll. Then
he comes out. He's like, yeah, this isn't good. I'm
not going to talk about it. And then Lavello reveals
that he's got a fractured wrist. Unbelievable in a short
amount of time where the fracture was announced. Yeah, both

(02:17):
Naylor and Eohanio both got hurt, both of their trade chips.
I don't even know who they're gonna put out there.
I might legitimately get a call after my home run
derby performance with Joe. I might get a call to
play for the Diamondbacks. At this point, they've got nobody.
It's embarrassing. The season's over. Sell sell, sell, sell everything.
They're not selling the team, by the way, they just

(02:38):
passed legislation to revamp the stadium just in time for
everybody to get hurt. But yeah, the Corbyn Carrell news
is as bad as it gets.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Yeah, it's unfortunate, but at the same time, you didn't
want to fool yourself to thinking it really contenders this
year anyway. And that was the point I think we've
been making, which is, guys, you know you don't have
Corbyn Burns this year or next year. For most of it,
like Gal has been terrible. I gotta don't.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Pretend that you can be good.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, just pretending, especially in that division. If you were
in the American League Central, maybe like maybe stranger things
have happened, but no. Now the question is replacements for
Corbyn Carroll, Like this is a fantasy show. So Jerkson
Profar still available in forty percent of leagues, that's a
route you could go. Alec Burlson is available in eighty
twenty percent of leagues. Camp Smith is available in thirty

(03:23):
percent of leagues. Javey or Bias forty percent of leagues.
I'm trying to look at some of the outfielders. Joe
Adale is still available in forty percent of league. So
at least the good news is at least on CBS
where there's actual you know, paid leagues.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
By the way, yeah, there's a little bit bigger.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Well, I'm just saying, like, look, maybe one of them
is available, like Payas is not available. Chandler Simpson getting
recalled today, Like he can help you in the stolen bases,
He's not going to replace the power. You know, that's
the hard part. Chase the laughter maybe if he gets
called up, but that's a guy we've talked about. There's
lots of options. I say you grab a couple guys
and see if one of them, like if the latter
gets called up, I would do that. I would definitely

(04:01):
get the latter, and then on top of that, I
would grab one of those earlier names I mentioned, if
it was Baiez, Adele Profar. Those are the guys that
I think I'm going for if I have, if.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
You can, if you can get those guys one of you,
I think these are all fantastic options. If you're playing deeper,
you might legitimately maybe look at Jake McCarthy, who is
going to take his roster spot and come back up.
McCarthy was a batting average monster with a bunch of
stolen bases. I'm not holding out hope. I mean, he'll
get hurt in three days, but you know, if you're
in a deeper league looking for some of that play,

(04:33):
maybe he is the guy. All the names you said
one hundred thousand percent we've been talking about I've been
talking about Adele de Latter could be coming up in
the near future. Those are really great replacements, and you're
super lucky if those are the type of guys you
can turn to if you just lost Corbyn Carroll because
A you cannot replace Corbyn Carroll unfortunately, you can't do
it via trade and you're taking away stuff, and B

(04:55):
you can just only hope that you can try to
get eighty percent of that value. I think those are
the names of the type of guys that could do that.
I think it's like a lot of people are facing
much tougher decisions with it, and just crush your fingers
that this is not the massive severity on the risk
and he can come back after the All Star break,

(05:15):
But what's going to happen to the power. These are
all the concernatives a pretty devastating look.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
If you're a redraft and you can trade Corman Carroll
and get a decent outfielder back, because somebody's like, oh,
I can afford to wait, I have a really good
you know, I'll a lock playoff team already. I take
that move. I take I get rid of that risk,
and I take somebody back who's like a B B
minus player for an A plus Corman Carroll who might
be injured Cal Rawley, he's a plus homeward Again. My god,

(05:41):
by the way, the MVP odds rememb When I was
bitching and moaning about him on Monday. Now they're at
five hundred. Okay, they went from seven fifty to five hundred,
so clearly we have a lot of impact.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Are you get to make that bet? Are you really
gonna bet on a catcher?

Speaker 1 (05:53):
I want to The big bet I want to make
right now is the Milwaukee Brewers three and a half
games out of plus five fifty. Like, that's if I'm
making a bet on the board in the futures market.
That's the one Julie Rodriguez homer in that game too.
Brian Woo struck out nine. Great day for the Mariners.
Not a good day for Bailly over again, seven runs. Again,
it's seven innings. Oh, it has been brutal. Bailey over
the Twins need to just like tap out one. Good

(06:16):
thing for the Diamondbacks at Doordo. Rodriguez had ten strikeouts
yesterday in that game Chad Patrick, even though he struck
out nine guys give him four runs. But still we
like the strikeouts. And we also like what we see
from Jackson Holiday three for five, a three run homer.
Great performance by Trevor Rodgers eight score listenings. So Holiday
and Rogers Welsh, I think going into the season, my

(06:38):
Bowl prediction was Holiday would be a twenty twenty guy
this year, which I think felt pretty bold considering how
bad he was in twenty twenty four and Rogers all
of a sudden thrown up another start of pretty decent quality.
Is Rogers a streamer? And are you buying Jackson Holidays
steadling in and maybe having a big second half.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Yeah, I think at this point he's roughly a straighter,
but it's sixteen, you know, It's like he's got this
great era, but it's just not enough of a sample size.
There's like two good starts in there that I think play,
but I think this team is kind of in a
little doom scenario, so I'm going to be very careful
about the starts that I stream with him. And on

(07:16):
Holidays side, yeah, I've been pro Holiday the whole time,
picking him over guys that have been better. I think
kind of across the board, he looks like he's going
to make the final round of the All Star voting,
which is kind of crazy. But most importantly from the
fantasy side, is like the strikeouts came down and he's
able to tap into the profile I talk at nauseum
I'm always rattling off, like, you know, the two things

(07:38):
I want to see in a combination barrel and hard hit.
That's a quality of contact thing. Then we're going to
start to move over to like EXI velocities, launch angle,
and where does the K percentage? And everything has just
improved this year across the board. Average X velocity up,
the barrel is up, hard to hit is up, strikeouts
are down ten percent to twenty three. He's doing all

(07:59):
the things to tap into the talent and that's what
makes him so intriguing, and that's what you know, makes
him look like a pretty easy twenty twenty guy for
the rest of the season. So I'm very very pro
Jackson Holiday, very pro what doesn't work for fantasy letting
prospects have a little time to marinate and figure out baseball,
and sometimes they're I know, I say Joe Adell, and

(08:21):
he's figuring it out now. But sometimes it never works,
or it takes five years, and sometimes it takes a
season for these guys to kind of readjust and we're
seeing that with Holiday.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
I think that last show that I'm on in August,
we should do a look back at our Bowl predictions.
I think that's that's August first show should be that
and see how if we're on pace.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I don't know. I couldn't tell you what mine were.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
So oh, I have him, I have him. I got
the show sheets somewhere. I'm gonna dig it in my
desk here, look in the files. Ronald Acunie was great again,
two for five with a homer. As the Mets continue
to give away that division to the Phillies and get
poled by the Braves, Swell and Bock two runs for
its seven innings. Soto did it a big home run
and had a great at bat and a big Spapa

(09:02):
came off short with a k. But look, I mean,
the Mets pitching is imploding. It's not gonna get better today.
If you have Schreider, you started against the Mets. Why
because Frankie Montas is back twelve innings of rehab starting,
He's giving up eight home runs. This is gonna be
a brutal He's got a twelve era. It's just it's
gonna be so bad today, Welsh, I can't wait to

(09:23):
watch it. I can't wait to watch it because of
my Spencer Schreider share now that I have in my
home League. I'm very excited about to watch it, but
it's the only silver lining. Other silver lining that same
team as Elie de Lacruz three for four with a homer,
three ribis and as Welsh mentioned earlier about All Star Games,
today's Tuesday, and we promised you Tuesday we'd be voting
here for our fantasy All Stars live on the program.

(09:45):
So I've got my whiteboard. If Welsh and I disagree,
it goes to you. The Peanuts and the Cracker Jacks
as a pole, so we want you to get that. Also,
a shout out to League Gold who just resubscribed here,
so we appreciate you subscribing again if you were watching here, uh,
subscribe with your Amazon Prime that we get rid of
those stupid commercials. Nobody likes commercials except Kaisa tracks. Those

(10:07):
commercials are awesome. All right, Well, so let's start a catcher,
shall we. I think this is easy. Somebody asked, is
it the best? Uh guy that in terms of return
on ADP investment? They might be right? Ready?

Speaker 2 (10:20):
One, two, three, reveal yours reveal. Mine is the.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Slow Burn cal So cal Rawley.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
That's pretty easy.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I hope, so c Al. That's pretty not.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Cali big dumper.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
He's the one valuable player.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
When you when you select cal rally, just please show
your ass. That's the only thing that we want to see.
Please show amen your butt.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Okay, here's a question. If cal Rawley breaks hits fifty
home runs as a catcher, as a catcher, are we
not giving him MVP? Like I think that's he's got
to win it? Right?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Fifty one is a catcher percent still in this league? No, No,
I'm sorry, Aaron Judge, Aaron Judge, and so Tani's presence
in there doesn't let him.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
So what if Aaron Judge has forty seven runs and
Cawrawly has fifty?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Oh yeah, I'm fine with that. But if Judge keeps pace?

Speaker 1 (11:06):
All right, what's the judge pace now? Right now? So
let's go to first base?

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Well, hold on real quick, is there is there any
other player in baseball that is named after a body
part like that has a nickname like like what like
he's the big dumper, like his nicknames. He's belovedly known
for his big butt and everybody accepts it and it's
a big thing. Is there anybody else with like a

(11:34):
body part nickname out there?

Speaker 1 (11:37):
I gotta go. Look, you know, I do miss the
days of good nicknames like oil can belly.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Yeah, yeah, I apologize. That's my bad.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
I open and you wonder why we get that eighteen
or over thing? All right? First base? First base? All right,
Fantasy MVP. We're gonna reveal in one, two, three. You
should start yours earlier because you're go pin alonzo two
for two.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
There was nobody else I thought that really warranted that. Like,
I think there's a couple I'm gonna just tell you
right now. I thought second, short, and third were a
lot tougher because there's different ways to justify because remember
this isn't like this doesn't have to be the number
one performer at that position because we're talking Fantasy All Stars.
So I think you're also equating like where they were

(12:25):
drafted into the overall production with it, and those were
the two easiest. I think maybe of this entire thing
was a catcher in first. So no disagreements. This might
open up the disagreement here can I'll see you writing too.
I wonder what you're writing. So remember if we have
a disagreement, you guys.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Get to choose. Why do you assume it's a disagreement.
I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
No, I just was I was looking at your writing.
I was saying, if we disagree, people get to choose.
I was just looking at your Yes, you're very swoopy
with your writing.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yes, well, I'm trying a mind's more of a visual
right now that they're not doing.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Okay, I don't think we're gonna agree on this one.
I'm going to take a guess. I think this will
be different.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Two. One, all we are is I drew a kettle.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
I like that. Oh yeah, that's a very that's a
very good, very good artist there, Joe. I did not
go with Kateel Marte because of the significance.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
I hate the Diamondbacks and you hate.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Yeah, because I hate the Diamondbacks. He's next, by the way,
because so we have to get a pull gun here,
simply because he missed significant time. He's had some good
Fantasy output. But Brandon Lao has fifteen homers with a
two sixty four average, playing twenty more games than him.
RBIs runs through the roof. I think Brandon Lao has

(13:40):
actually been fantastic, and he qualifies at second base as
far as the stats go. So Kateel Marte is the
bigger sex of your name. But think from fantasy the
value on Brandon Lao versus Katel and the miss time
for Katell and Brandon law is the guy.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
I'll tell you why. I'll take the quality over the quantity.
Twenty less games, he's got one less home run. He
has U seventy points on him in batting average, Kittel
Marte does. His OBP is almost one hundred points higher.
His ops oney seventeen. Brand Laos is seven to seventy five.
It's Marte and it's not close.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
I love I love Caateel Marte.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
I think I'm the guy making the case for Marte here.
How yeah, that's fine.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
I've just I've pushed against it because Kateel Martes missed
time and you had to you had to go to
you had to change the qualifications because he doesn't have
enough games. He's been awesome, but that eliminated him for me.
So we've got the vote. What is it? Are we
gonna wait for the vote on each one?

Speaker 1 (14:33):
No, we will come back to it. Let's let's press odd,
we'll come back to it, or we'll give the people
time to vote. All right, we're gonna go to third base.
Now you vote for Brandon Lao, you vote for Katail Marte.
Which way you want to go third base? Here a
lot of options. I'm going a lot of options going
j ram I want the power, I want the speed.
Where are you going?

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Oh? Look at this. But I originally was going to
put Mike kel Garcia on this thinking of value, and
I put a little nod to him because MIKEL. Garcia
has been absolutely phenomenal this season. For the price of
free ninety nine, he has put up like an eighty
five percent maybe ninety percent Jose Ramirez season. Jose Ramirez,

(15:14):
he's a guy. Three twenty three is ridiculous. Thirteen homers,
twenty stolen bases, forty three runs, thirty six RBI. That's awesome. MIKEL.
Garcia five less homers, three less stolen bases, only ten
points in batting average less the same RBIs in a
few less runs. Ramirez is still the guy you played
a first round pick. But I just want to shout
out MIKEL. Garcia. He would be my first runner up

(15:36):
at this position because absolutely free and fifth in war
of qualified third basemen, so I thought he deserved that
one Iohannio was also, I think in the discussion with
the Homers. But you know, all my friends are dead,
so no Diamondbacks. I have zero Diamondbacks. That's a giving
away a hint here, zero Diamondbacks making this all Fantasy
All Star game, So we agree. Jose Ramirez, shortstop, Jose,

(16:02):
I know what you did because you took so long
and you're trying to do like fun art. I know
exactly who this is.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
It did. It's Ellie de la Cruz on a cruise ship.
That's what it is.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
I also put Ellie didn't feel like spelling it. Shout
out to Jeremy Paynia, who deserves it. I think he's
fourth in war in all of baseball. Also almost a
free fantasy guy. Had Ellie performed a little bit less,
I think Jeremy Paania, due to like his low costs,
we're probably justified it. He's number one and more at shortstop.

(16:32):
He has eleven homers, fifteen stolen bases, a three twenty
six average, forty seven runs, and forty RBI. But Ellie
beats him in homers, runs, RBI, stolen bases. I think
he's like the top at his category. In four of
the five major fantasy, so it is clearly Ellie across anybody.
But that was another one where I just put a
little asterisk to Jeremy Pinia. So we only have one

(16:54):
disagreement so far.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Joey, I'm not super surprised. I'm not like completely shocked
about the surprise. And now this is gonna be all
over because there's so many to choose from, right, So
this is gonna be a little bit trigger. And three
is obvious.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Pick three because I wrote all three on my card.
Let's see your three, or I can reveal my three
after you're done writing, and then let's see what those
three are. Are you ready?

Speaker 1 (17:16):
All right? Mine is one obvious and then the two
that are just undeniable values.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
So um, I have all three written on one cart.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I will show you mine first. You could show me yours,
judge obviously. Then PCA, you gotta say PCA, you have to.
I mean, I don't care whatever impending doom the split's
say in terms of you can't left end and pitching.
He's already giving you twenty twenty. You gotta take that.
And James Wood one of my favorite guys going into
the season. James would has been terrific. He's had almost
no help to doing cruise is useless, right, he got

(17:47):
sent down like forget it, Like James would have been
a one man wrecking crew in a tough division. I
love it. Give me this outfield, well, she was your
fantasy All Stars and the outfield are we?

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Oh my god, they're the same one, the exact same
And did I write it in the same rot in
the same order too, Judge Pete Crow and then James Wood.
I agree, the word undeniable is a really good thing
to say in here. I didn't really have that much
more of a tough decision with this. I know, like
you know, if you're talking to the All Value Team,

(18:20):
I think, Andy, Andy, I think it has that.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I think it's more than just I mean, sure, there's
definitely got Iron Buxton, right, I mean a guy who's
been terrific, Like All.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Value Team Pa has Buxton. And then let's say who
would be our third on the All Value Team. I'm
looking at every value teams.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
I mean, you want in terms of power and speed combined,
we just like too because Tatis is having a great season,
Kyle Tucker is having a great season. But I had
to go the other way. But in terms of value
at outfield, that's really interesting. I mean the highest ops
is Pajus at eight forty two, that I would say
is a huge value. Helio Ramos will be the other
kind of unsung hero, hitting two eighty five, eight thirty

(19:00):
five ops, thirteen homers, forty three RBI. He could have
been in that conversation as well.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Yeah, I'm looking. I just don't Joe Adell maybe at
this point, but his average is so low. I gotta
be honest with you. I'm looking through this. I don't
see an undeniable. The first two I think pa Has
and Buxton are the clear like value guys that you
would throw in here. Maybe the next is Soda Strom
because he now qualifies, but there's not another one. But yeah, Judge, Pete,

(19:25):
Crow and James would the clear front runners for this
for me.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
All right. Next up here the pictures. Now, I think
we're all gonna have the same one here. And this
is hard because.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
I have both of my starting pictures on one card here.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
All right. Now, some pictures, you know, they give you strikeouts.
I don't give you wins. Some give you wins, not strikeouts.
Like it's been all over the place, So I tried
to go with the guys that I thought gave me
the best of everything across the board's that was my thinking.
What was your thought process with the pictures?

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Yeah, I mean, like, we don't even have to dance
around it. It's Turik Scuuble and somebody else, Yeah, Terry Scouble.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Somebody else for me is Brandon Webb this year, okay,
because return on investment. You look at what he's done.
He's got seven wins on the year. He has a
two four nine ERA, a one point one to two whip.
He's got one hundred and fourteen strikeouts. That's tied with
Chris Sale, It's tied with row Don. It's only three
behind Schooble. Like, if you're just looking blindly at the numbers,
Scooba is a two oh six e RA Logan Webb

(20:21):
is a two four nine ERA. And you know, as
much as I love Mackenzie Gore with all the strikeouts,
he is three and seven on the NATS and he's
got a three nineteen ERA that's significantly higher than Web
or Schooble. And I had to go that route, Welsh,
I just had to.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
It's not a bad choice.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
I and cheaper than Wheeler. He was cheaper than wheel
are going into the year.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
I looked at him. Uh, the guy I almost put
on it, and then I actually erased was I had
Treek scouble and I had put Max freed, but then
I changed it out for what I think is the
clear cut number two, and his name got a little washed.
So maybe that's bad luck here, Hunter Brown, Hunter Brown,
would that do eight wins? Has as many wins as Tariq's,

(21:00):
has an almost eleven k per nine, and has a
one point eight eight era. So the wins are there,
the era is better than any of these guys, the
strikeouts are there. He's he's the whole total package. I mean,
the walks per nine are a little bit higher than
most of the guys you know above him. He's tenth

(21:21):
and Warren baseball, but credit logan Web is third in baseball,
So that's gonna be a good vote. Hunter Brown versus
Logan Web. We both put Trick Scooble in here. That
leads us to our reliever, and then we will check
out the polar results of results of really only two
so far that we're battling.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
All right, Uh, I got my reliever. Here we're drinking
the Hater aid right here, you're gonna pour some out.
Ooh it's delicious. I poured the wrong way there it is, Hater.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Oh you just drink it on yourself.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Well I did. I spilled a little, but that's just
go get a towel after. But it's a HiT's Hater
for me for sure. Josh Hater a one eight three ERA,
nineteen save in nineteen trive, zero blown saves, fifty three strikeouts,
seven walks, a point seven to six whip. I don't
I don't like. I know. I think you're gonna say Munos,
but Hater's been better. Let's see what you say.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Of course he Munyo, So of course I'm gonna say
Andres Munos, by the way, because he has an even
better era is eighteen saves, which is like right behind John.
I think, what does Josh Shader have nineteen? I think
the leader is twenty two. Shout out to Carlos Estevez,
by the way, who we're leaving on the table, who
leads the league in saves. But yeah, Josh Shader has nineteen.
Munos has eighteen. Hater has a one point eight three ERA,

(22:36):
which is awesome. Munos has a one point two six era.
Hater does have more strikeouts and has more wins. I
don't think yours is a bad pick. I'm going with Munos,
who's been consistent all year long. But now we got
some voting. So we've got Munios versus Hater, We've got
Web versus Hunter Brown, and we've got Marte versus Lao.

(22:56):
And it looks like we've got two of the votes too.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Already Marte has won the second base vote overwhelmingly seventy percent.
I get it. So I get the case you were
making for Brandon Law and.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
I don't get the next one here, but I get
the Marte one. I'll give you there.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
And Web wins with sixty seven percent. Look, I think
that's crazy. I will say this. I looking at the
closer thing too is a wait for those poll results
to come in. Here. It's so interesting because once again
I am late closer, you know, leaving a late round QB.
I'm late round CP baby. Just give me all the
late round closers I can get.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Are gone also later than Hayter.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Yeah, just fine. Best of it is cheap, right, He's
number one. Kyle finnigin free, Emilio Pagan waiver wire, Jeff
Hoffman free, Trevor McGill free, Kenley Jansen free. Just going
through here, roaldes Chapman off the waiver wire. Those are
the guys in the top fifteen. That was about six
guys right there that I just named, almost half of

(23:55):
them leading the league in saves that you could have
had for nothing. So once again, I know you know
some guys are special. Hater special, not a lot of them,
and Class was supposed to be special, but he has
been the wrong kind of special this year. But this
was really fun here Munnos and Hater is the last
one we love to hear from all.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Oh, it also looks like there's a little update. There
were two starting pitcher polls by accident, and Brown won
the second one with seventy three percent. So we have
come on.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Let's take them all. We'll have We'll have Scooba as
the guy, and then we'll have Brown from the American
League and Web from the National League. We have a
big enough ten tier at Fantasy Bros MLB to take
Everybodyananigans Shenanigans here.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
So gad artwork, by the way, great artwork by you.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
I try I try. This was a good time. Make
sure you drop your comments below, tell us who you're
all stars and Fantasy are, and of course subscribe to
the Fantasy Bros. MLB channel. Don't forget to do that.
And we like to hear this conversation. Is it Web,
is it Brown? Who's the best closer in fantasy right now?
In terms of your return on investment? We'd love to
hear from you to drop your comments and subscribe to

(24:59):
the channel. Today. Let's take a look at some transactions
because there's a lot of Chandler Simpson's back yay, eleven
steals in sixteen games since he got sent down. Yes,
please hit in three sixty six. Never should have been
sent down in the first place. So who's odd man
out with Simpson coming up?

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Welsh? Well, Meisner got sent down, So Karen, that's the
guy th Jen right, Oh, I'm guessing that's Joe and
not me. That is frozen? Is that correct? For everybody?
He could go summer breeze. There we go, Joey. I
can never tell if it's just you or if it's me,

(25:36):
But you had such a good face that I was
trying to copy. I should have went this way summer
breeze makes me feel fun?

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Where am I? Can you hear me? At least? Man?
Can you see me?

Speaker 2 (25:48):
We can't?

Speaker 1 (25:49):
You can see me?

Speaker 2 (25:50):
We're Joey, all right?

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Then while Joe figures out his frozenness, I will pick
up here. Chandler Simpson absolute must pick up if he's
out there. Tweeted it the instant he got called up.
You have to go and get Chandler Simpson if he's
out there and is a great replacement across the board.
Jamer Candelario, who I went and saw out in complex
designated for assignment. I saw him rehabbing out here with

(26:15):
the Reds. He the Red sent him out in one
hundred degree weather to work it out in rookie ball,
and they caught him and then he was gone. So
Jamer Candelario probably get picked up somewhere. Other transactions, Tyler
fitzgeral option to triple A because he stinks. Luisn Helicunya
stinks option to triple A. Joe is going to be

(26:35):
super upset, but Kyne Parris is back just to spite him.
And then we had I'm Taylor Tremmell activated from the
eyel and maybe the best signing.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
I put that in there just for you, by the way,
the triple which are paramil guy, no the trip.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
I love Taylor Tremill is one of my favorite people.
I interviewed him in like two thousand and seventeen or
something like that. He's just such a he's such a
great guy. Root for him. But baseball hasn't been working
out so well, like your inn, your internet versus Taylor
Tremill's baseball career.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Also the career of Noah Cindegar, who just signed a
minor league contract with the White Sox, and what.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
He's going to be out here by the way, training
at the Arizona facility. I'm one hundred percent gonna go
and see.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Yeah, he's awesod. Yeah, he might be the one guy
that you can look eye to eye with because he's
a giant.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
So and so are you also like age to age too?

Speaker 1 (27:26):
So yeah, sadness year the Cubs sent Genesis Cabrera outright
to Triple A and it's just.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
That, please come to the manager's office.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
You've been Yeah, this is like, you know, like when
the Exotic Dancers started out in New York and then
moved to Jersey, and then now it's like, now you're
like working at the you know you're in Pittsburgh by
the airport. You know you're working there.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
They just use chairs in the back of the room
instead of its own private room.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Next thing, you know, you're teaching a pole dancing class
to middle aged women. Like, it's just it's not good.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Then you're asking for two okens on my ASTs.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
It's rough. Yeah, we all know what's next for Genesis,
all right. Also, you know, if you know, maybe you're
having problems with your performance like Genesis Caprera is, maybe
you should try Kaisa trex. That's right, because who knows,
bad performance fatigue could be signs of a low testoster in,
a condition affecting about thirty percent of adult men in America.

stuff here today to go on the show, so we're
gonna fly through some things here. Don't worry if you've
got questions, We got answers on Wednesday on the live
chat and tomorrow we'll be back again too. But rookie, lookie.
Happy Chase Burns Day to everybody who's celebrating. We're all
excited about that.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Are you comfortable starting him New York Yankees. It's in Cincinnati,
but it's against the Yankees, not against Rodand no prediction line?
Real quick? Well, what is your predicted line?

Speaker 1 (30:11):
Carls Rodond's seven strikeouts Chase River? Yeah, I know that's
my prediction. My prediction is the My prediction is I
want to watch and see and hope for the best,
and that would be cool, But I don't know. I
don't want the Wolves against the Yankees.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
I did this on Cleaning Up the Discord Show, which
you guys can come and hang out with us live.
I had a prediction five innings through and I feel
like this is my really good pitcher line because I
think I did similar to Misarowski. But I'm going five innings,
six strikeouts, three earned runs, one homer given up, maybe
eighty something pitches in there, but could get worse. Volatility
with that lineup could be scary. Chase Burns is pretty

(30:48):
pretty awesome, so we'll see. But I'm still putting in
a decent start, so he is startable, all right.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
I know how to pronounce his name now, All right,
here we go, Yes Stinson, Yes, Stinson. Garcia done work.
Is two for four, two home runs yesterday. Another big
prospect here for the Red Sox. So if they want
to bring in somebody else to make a run, Garcia
could be that guy. He's like three eleven, three eighty
eight six O four and twenty seven games of triple

(31:14):
A eight homers right now, my goodness, four steals, twenty
one runs. He's done.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
Everything is nickname, The password is yeah, he's not named
after an appendage, but it's the password, and I think
he'll be trying. I think he's a trade piece, but
I think so.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Yes Stinson, Yes, Stinson, Yes, Stinson, that's how you say it.
Rumors could be the Oriols moving Cedric Mowens and Ryan O'Hearn.
That makes a lot of sense. They got a logjam there.
Jeff Passing is saying, and he swore is a likely
trade candidate. Duh, of course he is. He also said
that Marlins could decide to hold Yeah, but he's not
like on the il Herd is he he might.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
He got hit in the hand and he got taken
out of the game. And then Josh heard himself in
a swing thought. I mean they said Corpyn Karrot was fine,
he just need a couple days arrest. Fine, everything's fractured,
he's broken.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Sworez is fine because they're gonna trade him, he'll be fine. Uh.
Sandy Contra could be held onto by the Marlins apparently,
so here we go. So he's definitely getting traded now,
just so you know what we buying hold on to him?
Number one, he is gone.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
I mentioned this on ITL in the Scott White Dynasty
League I have Sandale Contra and Frankie Stamps. It will
hit me up about a week and a half ago
trying to like push a trade really quick on Sandy,
and I annoyingly was like, I gotta be honest with you,
he's had two good starts. I'm gonna hold him because
I think he can be worth a lot more if
he does keep rattling off these starts, and I'm gonna

(32:30):
try to trade him later. And I pulled this. I'm
clearly gonna trade Sandale Contra, but I'm holding to try
to up that trade value. That's what the Marlins are doing. Yeah, yeah,
sure we'll keep Sandy. It makes a lot of sense.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Shout out to Monkey Asto for just subbing. Congratulations, thanks
for joining us. Ben, We appreciate that. And also almost
wins the closer pole fifty eight percent, So there you go.
So you won one, I won one, and we everybody
won the pitching one.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Three pitching poles of the same one out.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
So that's fine, fun fact, but it's not really fun. Whoever.
The opposite of fun is Ben Brown was lit up
for eight runs, all of them coming on two run
home runs in five innings at night, so it's the
first time at night he got blown up. So now
Ben Brown, he's dead to me.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
He lost his vampire powers.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
He's done. He's done. All right, Let's get to three
up and three down to tease. Three run Dinger can
tell Marte three for six with his fourteenth don against
the White Sox and James Wood another home run. He
is three run homer in a ten six win over me.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Back on the boards, my first homer and almost an
I know, and.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
That's that's im. I was gonna say, congratulations, he got
your dinger back. Crazy Patrick Corbin was lit up for
five runs. You wanted to go against colek Well, you
were right yesterday because he allowed five runs and Walker
Buehler also five runs at four innings and they were
just leaving him out there to dry. Dude was a
I told you, d I was.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Thinking about you yesterday with the Walker Buehler thing, because like,
just in general, I just find it hard that they
would like give up on that. He walks seven yesterday,
and this team looks like they're ready to push a
couple pieces out. I'd be right. They might just be like, hey, Walker,
get the step in.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
D f a good look there. It is the emphasis.
The emphasis is on the f there.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
D f A put them off. That'll be his player's
weekend jersey. His nickname will be d f A.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Michael wants us to share the welshism from the meeting
the other day.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Joey, I gave a I gave a nugget in again
the Discord Show, which is also on a podcast, Cleaning Up.
I pulled a Welshism, or some someone pulled a Welshism.
It was me or a Rico or something. I think
it was a Rico And I told that crew if
they want, they could bring this up. I had a

(34:53):
Welshism in our meeting last week? Do you remember it?
And I was in the middle of talking in a
meeting with everybody and Joe just starts cackling and falling over. Well,
other people noticed mayor caught onto it too, But I
think I remember it, do you? And I thought it

(35:13):
was maybe an alzheimer.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
I don't remember it. I wish I did.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
I think it was. Well, then if you don't remember it,
I'm not going to release it. Then it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
No, I know, because now I really want to know.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
I think it was me saying jump the shark.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
It wasn't. No, it wasn't, but it wasn't jumped the shark.
It was jump the shark is correct? Oh no.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Then it was something like, uh like with a gun
and a shark.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
We we uh, yeah, it was it. It was the
jump the shark and jump the gun. Like do you
use jump the shark wrong? So you said I don't
want to jump the gun here, jump the gun. Maybe
it was I thought I don't want to jump the
shark here. We were like, what, like, I don't want
to get ahead of this and jump the shark here,
but and we were like, I just bust it out

(35:58):
of it.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
It was a moment where like if you guys think
some of the things are just bits, like it was
like this show because we're on a zoom and Joe
just starts falling over. He just starts falling over, laughing.
And I heard myself do it, and I was like,
dang it. And then mayor Mayor jumped into it and
I jumped the gun.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Just like they say, well, don't judge your book before
it's hatched. All right, let's get to another one here.
Let's get to the injury showed at a Minaga is
going to be activated on Thursday. Michael King is progressing
to throwing off flat ground Tyler Glass now three scoreless
innings on Sunday again, topping out around ninety six point eight.
That's good, so he hopefully will have another start in
five days that goes well. Who knows. I mean, threw

(36:38):
forty eight pitches already, which I thought was more than
I realized he was going to be at. So I
think he does make a start before the All Star break?
What do you think, Welsh? I think he does maybe two.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
I think there's I think there's a pot. You're talking
glass now? Are you talking glass?

Speaker 1 (36:51):
Glass? Now?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
I think it makes two.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
I think he makes two.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
You think he makes two mats before the All Star break?

Speaker 1 (36:56):
I think he comes back the week of the seventh,
makes one, maybe Monday Tuesday, because that's what he's on
pace for right now. I have to look at the
schedule AND's so many games they have, but they need him,
they need him bad.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
I think he's not going to I'm gonna bet he
is right off the All Star break because then maybe
next one is three, then four, and then you've got minor.
I think they're gonna wait until right after the All
Star break.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
Because look, if he's got fifty pitches right now, it's
the twenty fourth today, or he made it on Sunday, right,
so that was on the twenty second, one two three
four five, that would put him on this Friday to
start again. Right then it would put him one two
three four five on Wednesday the second and his next
that would be the third time. So that would you
imagine he's up to eighties pitches by that third start

(37:40):
if he's at fifty already, and that would put him
in line to start Monday the seventh or Tuesday the eighth.
I think it might sneak it in. We'll see how
it goes. Code I Sanga schedule to play catch on Monday.
That's great. Bryce Harper progressed his hitting soft toss Spencer
Araghetti could throw up am mount on Tuesday. Nouel v
Marte moved his rehab to double A. Aaron Boone said,
Marcus Stroman' is gonna be in the mix for an

(38:02):
activation of a boy and of course, uh, it wouldn't
be a show without an update on Brandon Woodruff. Through
a forty pitch bullpen session over the weekend, he slated
the throw live batting practice on Tuesday, and he could
begin his rehab assignment someday. I'm waiting for you at rehab. Here,

(38:22):
I am dark, Joe, just waiting for you, Brandon Woodrooff.
Come back to rehab where you're safe, where everything makes
sense in rehab. We love you in rehab, Brandon Woodroff.
You can't ever escape rehab.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
If rehab wasn't also like an alcoholics thing, it'd be
like even funnier. But there's that little like indication where.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
I like it. I liked it. It's dark. It's dark.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
No, No, it's a great it's a it's a great bit.
And it's it's like he's like Constantine, you know, like
if you remember the movie, Like they're all trying to
pull him back to rehab and he's just fighting to
stay above a bank.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
No, no, no, let's get to the best bets of
the day with Joey p and the Welsh everybody. I
told you before, Let's say it again. Watch Out take
the Atlanta Braves team total. Frankie Montas is back with
his twelve VRA from his rehabs starts his eight home runs. Ah,
it's going to be brutal, all the rond of Counya,
props everybody over, just over everything. The team total is

(39:28):
just four and a half runs minus one thirty two.
You can go to get plus money at five and
a half. If you want bore, you could just invest
heavily in the four and a half like I am,
and just take the five runs and get out. And
I think that's a good bet. Milwaukee on the run
line minus one and a half at plus one oh five,
Freddy Perolta on the mound against the lowly Pirates. They stink.
Onell Cruz stinks to I am done watching him play baseball.

(39:49):
The Pirates need to trade him. The Pirates right now
are a complete page one rewrite. He is brutal to watch.
He doesn't look he looks like these guys who's really
talented don't want to be there. And I just I
got no time. And spoiler carls Rodon is gonna spoil
Chase Burns debut six and a half strikeouts. Give me
the over at plus one o six against Cincinnati Welsh,

(40:10):
What do you have for the big board today?

Speaker 2 (40:12):
All right, I am going to be going to Washington,
San Diego over total runs the Nationals were going off
yesterday with James what I think San Diego is going
to bounce back. They're going up against you. Maybe you
could just bet San Diego here. They're going up against
Trevor Williams, who's gotten a five and a half RA.
They're putting Bergered out there, who I don't think is
gonna farewell against that Washington offense. So I think there's

(40:33):
gonna be a run scored. So I like over eight
and a half runs Washington and San Diego, Tampa Bay,
Kansas City. I'm gonna go with a little nerfy action here.
Taj Bradley clean first inning that might be the only
clean inning, and Chris Boubach minus one twenty, so I
love the bubala out there. Are going to bank on
Bradley getting to that poorish Kansas City offense and minus

(40:54):
won twenty for the no run first inning. And then
finally Toronto on the money line. I'm gonna be backing
Eric Lauer, who might be way more than just a
streamer at this point going up against the Guardians and
Logan Allen who's got an over four ERA. I'm gonna
bet on Toronto on the road and the money line
in Eric lower minus one twenty six on the money line.
Those are my best bets of the day.

That's right, it's going on right now. Bet smarter, not

(41:37):
Wome run board. Let's see what it is. We didn't
have it yesterday. Wankee Penguin at twenty six, Georgia thirty four,
still at the top. Far out at thirty one. Twenty
three is the new high bar now, unfortunately, so we
are both behind that.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
So you wing nineteen, I'm twenty now.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Twenty on nineteen. So it's getting dark out in those streets.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Oh god, we're so far.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
Okay, it's okay because today Ron mccooney is gonna hit three.
Frankie mantas well. I would probably hit one off. Frankie
Montas at least maybe two because he's the leadoff hitter
if he sees the second inning, and then again maybe
in the bullpen. Give me all the round to Cooney today?
Where are you going for your home run call?

Speaker 2 (42:13):
I'm super boring. I'm gonna go with Otani today in Colorado,
so give me a Tony versus almost.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
Brought my original one. So if that hits, I'm gonna.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
Be super I'm just trying to get back done cold.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
Lately though, since he started pitching, did you notice that?

Speaker 2 (42:25):
Yeah, hell yeah, give me a hell yeah. I hope
he picks it back up today and gets me on
the board because it was like I had Ronald Cooney
the entire weekend didn't hit one, and then the day
I don't have him hits a bomb. Luckily James Wood
got me on the board almost though about James Wood
again to be honest with you today, but I'm gonna
go with Aughawi, be a cheap cheater and hopefully get
back the Montas.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Stuff in the chat is hilarious too. Now. Of course,
if Montas is brilliant today, I can't wait for tomorrow's show.
If he gets absolutely lit up, I can't wait for
tomorrow show. So either way, Tomorrow's gonna be a great show.
