to ring the bell for notifications. That's a very important part.
Welsh Ah moving parts all over the place today, a
lot of injury updates. Actually some guys were turning, which
is a nice change of pace. But let's start in
Dodger Town where it looks like the Mets, at least
so far this season. Have the Dodgers number Otani in
a home run, That's good for me. But Francisco Lindor

(01:09):
homer and drove in two runs and helped them win
an extra innings yesterday. So we talked about the invincibility
of the Dodgers. Perhaps they're not that invincible after all.
The Mets really getting up for some of these games,
almost a playoff atmosphere. Dare I say, what do you
think of last night's extra inning extravaganza.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, I think that there's definitely been some issues or
breaks in the armor, if you will, with them, and
it's been with their rotation. Though funny enough, it wasn't
really even about that. It's not that Dustin May was
banged around or anything like that. He wasn't super effective.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
He only had.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Five swinging misses in this game. But Paul Blackburn came back,
looked pretty solid, held them down early. Blackburn ended up
five innings, three hits, know and runs, three strikeouts, only
gave up two hard hit balls the entire game.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
But yeah, they're going.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
To be susceptiblevulnerable with that rotation with guys like Dustin
May and Kershawn and stuff like that out there, and
they're just crossing their fingers to hope, hope that they
can go and get you know, Tyler Glass now back
in the near future.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
But it's a good series.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
You know, you East Coasters like your Mets a little
bit more, and I wasn't so focused on that.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
But you know, oh, Tony, you'd be happy about the
Dodgers getting beat I just, you know, just I.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Love seeing them lose.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
But it doesn't matter in my diamondback world because their
season's over.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
It's done.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
We're twenty oh important. We are twenty four hours plus
in Zilch On Corbyn burns, that's not good. There's no
chance that that's a good sign. That we haven't heard
a thing about him and his elbow. That thing has
got to be blown out. They're going for second, third,
and fourth opinions on it.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
It's no it's no point.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
I got an opinion. He's not coming back this year.
There you go. I don't know if anybody had Kerry
Carpentry yesterday, I doubt it, but he had three homers.
There was a lot of multiple home runs days.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Almost picked care. I know you guys are gonna do that.
I swear to god I didn't. I don't do this
thing a whole lot, don't, I promise you. I almost
Kerry Carpenter, and I talked myself off of it because
I was like, I need Homers. I'm gonna go with
a bigger name, because Carry is the destroyer of right
handed hit.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
I am.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
I was so defeated with myself and shout out to
Max Clark, Tiger's prospect who called him. They called him
Kerry Bonds, So I also like that. I like any
of the Barry Bonds.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
I was gonna say very Bond, Like it's like the
new A Rod J Rod thing. Everybody's something Bonds. I
hate that.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
It's just our variance. It's Barry Bond's very three home
counts that would have Bond.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
That would have put you over twenty, right, I think
we're close to it.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I should would have been amazing.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Joe Adell could have gone there. He had two home runs,
Hunter Goodman, I don't think anybody probably picked him. He
had two home runs, and then the Rockies actually got
a win, their tenth win. Can you believe it was unbelievable?
Max Meyer in that game was lit up for five runs,
four of them. Let's talk about Max Meyer for a second,
because in the month of April he was terrific. Now
that the month of June has come about, he is

(04:07):
sitting with a four to seven three ERA, a one
point four to two whip, sixty eight strikeouts, twenty walks
across sixty four innings. So the strikeouts have been good,
but he has struggled imnsally here in the last month.
And hopefully we were thinking, okay, maybe things will turn around.
It's the Rockies, this is a gimme start, and instead
they gave it to Max Meyer. So what do we

(04:28):
do with Max Meyer here? You had one good month
one bad month. I know a lot of people want
to drop him. They're very frustrated. Do you hold or
do you move on to try to pick up something
off the waiver wire? And I don't even know at
this point what that might be. Although we're going to
be having guys you know, leave their rotation for injuries,
we're seeing you know, more guys starting to you know,
vacate rotation spots. So perhaps the waiver wire this week

(04:51):
will be good. I mean, Ryan Yarborough is still available.
I guess at the end of the day, I'd rather
have him than Max Meyer right now.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Sometimes you got to know when to hold him and
sometimes you got to know when to fold them. And
Max Meyer is not a winning hand right now, so
I'm out.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
I'm out. I think it is at best a streamer.
I would rather stream, is what I'm saying. Like Brandon fought.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Brandon fought the other day, make it about the dime
extro second when he gave up his yes hitter, he
had a three nine ERA. He ended with the game.
He's like pregame three ninety RA. He left within over
five ERA. He's cuttable.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
He's I would rather stream on that spot unless it's
like the deepest of deep leagues. So same thing with Max.
I would rather stream.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
At this point, his fastball is getting obliterated. He does
a sinker and a forcing. His forcing right now has
a three fifteen batting average against with an expected three
p forty and an exit velocity on average of ninety
four miles an hour. It is almost mirrored on his
sinker as well. It's not getting hit as hard from

(05:52):
a EV standpoint, but it's got a four to fifteen
batting average against. So what I'm getting at is can't
throw his fastball. His secondary is a slide getting hit
a bit too. Strikeouts are okay, you said they were good,
They're okay. It's a twenty four percent walk rights there.
He's giving up a lot of I'm just I'm not
super interested, and I think in a lot of twelve
team and under leagues you can absolutely stream. I would

(06:13):
rather probably stream out at Yarborough while he's you know,
being efficient, and there's some prospects that you could speculate on.
He's Marlin, there's not a ton of support. Looked like
things could be good, it's not. I would stream in
most cases, even though maybe he picks it back up,
and guess what, pick him back up?

Speaker 3 (06:30):
No one's going to be running to the wire for
Max Meyer right now?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
What about the wire for Sandy? Would you want to
stream him against the Rockies today? Coming off a big
tenth victory? Huh? You feel lucky? Do you? Punk?

Speaker 3 (06:43):
I don't? I mean, how can you feel like him?
I guess it's not in Colorado.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
This is my drop start though for him. If you
suck against the Rockies, I'm done with you. Like that?
To me? Is that's it? You know you could be
location all you want. I'm done.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
If you have Sandy and you're a crazy person that
already still has him, yes you should. You one hundred
percent should. If you're trying to stream him. This is
the matchup. If Sandy's ever gonna work, it's got to
be this matchup. You're just you're playing with fire, dude,
You're absolutely playing with fire. He could get blown up
against Colorado. This will be the one though. If he doesn't,

(07:20):
he's got to go. Let's set the line real quick.
What's the line where we go, Okay, this is promising
for Sandy. Then there's gonna be a line that this
is AH and then bad. The line I think of
good is he's got to go six, give up no
more than twour, and runs and he's got to strike
out five or six. The AH line is he goes five,

(07:43):
gives up three, strikes out five, and then anything over
giving up four and runs to the Colorado Rockies.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I think is just more reiteration that he is garbage.
Do you agree disagree on those lines?

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Yeah? I do agree with you. I'd like to see
what the chat says too, post your saying, because I
see one person did it post your Sandy prediction line
for the Colorado Rocky start today? I want to see
how varied those lines are.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
And anything less than awesome or really good that because
I set the ant line and the manline those none
of those tell us a good story.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
He's got to have a good We have a good one.
We got to get from Sandy today.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
The only result shout out to Van Rod contributed ten bits.
Not sure what that means because I'm old, but it
sounds good. Welsh sounds good.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Bits Bits are good.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Bits are good Logan Webb. He had a couple of
bits hit my alternative k prop yesterday, so another good
start for him. Unfortunately, no w to show for it.
Six hits, no walk struck out seven. I needed him
to get over six and a half, and he did
very happy about that. In that start, though he faced Colic,
who have you seen the home road splits? For Colic,

(08:49):
I'm just curious. No, let's see it all right, So
now I'm gonna pull it up there and bring that on.
In the meantime, I just saw something float around the
waiver the newswire, I should say, where it looks like
the Red Sox are really gonna be sellers soon? Have
you seen this?

Speaker 3 (09:08):
The they're gonna be sellers?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Oh? Well, I mean apparently is on the block already,
is what I'm reading. I've heard that, and it looks
like they're listening on pretty much anybody. So with nine
games out already, it looks like the Red Sox are
saying Nope, not us, not our year, which I think
at this stage is too early. I don't know if
I'm gonna buy this one hundred percent or not, but

(09:31):
do you buy right now that the Red Sox as
I'm looking for more of these splits because I saw it.
I'm gonna pull them up here in a second for Colic,
Do you buy that the Red Sox are gonna start
selling off in June?

Speaker 3 (09:40):
No? I don't.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
And what people are going in the chat because I
thought the only thing you're referring to is a report
that came out yesterday that the Padres and the Red
Sox have had some conversations about Jared Durant Its specifically.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Comments have been there. I even saw some people floating
around the Bregman thing like this was just not.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Yeah, I don't believe in I don't believe that's I
don't I believe Bregman. I do not believe Willyer. I
do singularly believe the Jaron Durant thing. And because there's
so much season left, there's only so so long that
you really have this construction of the Red Sox team.
I actually think there are scenarios where they could trade
Jaron Durant, like with the Padres, and they could make
their team better. Because then I talked about this on

(10:19):
Cleaning Up yesterday the Discord Show, but Dennis Lynn, who's
a reporter with the Padres, talked about there's some internal
stuff that you know, maybe like the Red Sox are
motivated to move Duran a little bit that he doesn't fit.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
So have Roman Anthony to take that spot.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Marks.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
That's where I was going with it, is that they're
gonna they can sell it that when you trade Jaron Duran,
you get to bring Roman Anthony in on the offense.
And let's say they go with the Padres and they
get a Luisa Rise who can play first, or Dylan
Cees and they figure something like that out or bullpen,
they can make their team better while adding Roman Anthony
and not having a negative on offense. So I actually

(10:54):
think there's a lot of smoke or fire where that
smoke is on the Jaron Duran side. I don't think
it has to be that they're selling off team because
I just don't think the Red Sox are a.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
So it's more just a retooling, letting the kids play
out since they think it might be a lost season.
Let's get him some seasoning for next year and see where. Yeah,
that makes sense, all right, I've got the Stephen Colic,
the much beligned, by the way, Stephen Colick here on
the show from the Welsh has been very rough on
this poor young man. Two starts at home, he has
a nine point five era, his four starts on the

(11:25):
road Welsh one point zero four, twenty six innings, nineteen hits,
twenty strikeouts, nine walks with a one point zero seven whip.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
So how does any love beautiful San Diego?

Speaker 1 (11:36):
I don't know. I mean San Diiago is beautiful. I
don't know why he doesn't love it there, but clearly
maybe you know, we kind of sold Colic a little short.
Do you think there's a universe where I can convince
you that you want to spot start him on the
road after these numbers?

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Yeah, I mean, if you give me Colorado, give me well,
I mean, going in Colorado, I guess isn't super great.
But you know, give me a team like the Pirates
or Colorado and he's not in San Diego. I guess
you could try it out. I still have minimal ish interest.
But guess what, you drop guys like Max Meyer and
you're streaming around the world. You get a road start
for Kolk I'd rather probably battle that than exactly what.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
You know, it's a road.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Matchup against the Brewers and his next start, so it's
another road matchup, so why not? And I'm looking at
who he faced two last couple. I mean he was
at Colorado, which again he was good there. His home
game against Seattle was bad. On the road against Toronto
which was good, His road start against Miami bad. I'm sorry,
his home start against Miami bad. And then he had

(12:37):
roadstart against Amfran last night. So some decent competition in there.
I mean, you know it patchwork a little bit. Christian Yellich.
His hand is okay because he is thirteenth home run
so that's a good news and also good news. Mike
Trout three for four with a three run homer. So
there you go, the Angel seven to six win over
the Red Sox. It was just a hop mess. Right now,
let's get to the transaction board because there's a lot

(12:58):
going on, including J. J. Bleday called it on the
show yesterday, told you go pick him up, he'd be back,
and he was. Mcguilandohar went to the IL. He was
hitting three seventy with a homer in six games since
the demotion. So maybe JJ Bleda gets back on track
and on the hybrid Rookie Lookies Slash Universe of Transactions.
Ronnie Maurizio getting called up by the Mets. So last

(13:19):
night in that game, Mark Vento's came up lame with
a hamstring. Clearly it was not good, so I mean
insult to injury. This is just gonna be a lost
season right now for Mark Vento's because I'm telling you
right now, Baity's gonna take that job, and I'm afraid
that he's gonna run with it because he's a better defender,
and who knows what becomes of Vento's when he comes back,
especially if Mauricio hits at the major league level. Now

(13:40):
he's probably gonna be in a platoon situation somewhere. I
don't know where that's gonna be. I don't think any
of us can really predict it, but just kind of
retracking Mauricio for some people. Twenty three homers, twenty four
steals and one hundred and sixteen games of triple A
in twenty twenty three, he had a two ninety two
three forty six five h six slash. So far in
nine games he's slashing five fifteen, five sixty four, eight

(14:01):
eighteen with three homers, eight RBIs and he's just eighteen
percent rostered. So Welsh, I do believe we're going to
get an extended absence. The Viento's hamstering look like a
serious one. You've got a Cunya, you got McNeil, you
got Baty. How does Mauricio fit in? And what is
the fantasy value of Mauricio right now?

Speaker 2 (14:17):
I think the fantasy value is similar to where it
was with Jordan Lawler. And I'm not saying he will
fail like Jordan Lawler. It's just the same idea. If
you've got the ability to pick.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Him up, I think you you should look at it.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
You know, I mean that the bats live, That's what
he's here for he can steal bases. I don't know
what the playing time overall is going to look like.
They're not going to bring him up to not play,
but it might be something in the general vicinity of
like Lawler, where it's you know, you're trying to get
him as many games where they're bouncing around, but they
also really like Cocunya, They've got Batty.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
There's probably some platoon in there. I think it's minimal.
I'm not as.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Dramatic and excited like there's only one prospect that matters
right now because it's Jack caglionde today. That's right, That's
the only one one that's in the twinkle in my
eye right now.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
So Rynie Maris.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
So if you're in a deeper league, I think he
might be worth a look, especially at the bench spot.
Anything outside of CAGs. Right now, there are no must pickups.
It's like Jack ag Leon, if you're available, bam. Then
the next ring is like if you are speculating that
Super two is going to finally help Bubba Chandler and
Roman Anthony. Everything after that is just kind of monitor

(15:25):
pay attention to your team. You know your league, how
they work, how aggressive people are Rynnie Maris so definitely
has a chance to be fantasy valuable.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
I'm just not sure I buy it a ton.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Yeah, I think I think it's gonna be tough to see.
But if he hits in the opportunities they give him,
they will give him more opportunities. I think that's the
best way to put it. Like, I would want to
pick him up and stash my bench now just to
see what happens. Especially in any keeper leak scenario, I
would pick up because you never know, like another shoe
could drop in an injury, and next thing you know,
there's more playing time and he's already up there, Matt
on the mound. All right, So here's his question here,

(15:58):
who would you guys want rest of season? Ellie de
la Cruz or Jay Ram. I've got depth of chorse
up with Swanson, So I assume we're trading Ellie here
and you would then pivot a chorse up to Swanson,
Stott or Pania. What do you think about this combination here?

Speaker 2 (16:14):
First off, I'm gonna say this is back end stuff.
We do not negotiate with terrorists. If you spam the chat, Matt,
I was gonna meet you, but I'm not in the back.
I said, we mute you, but no spamming in the chat.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Actually that Joe negotiates with terrorists, negotiate with you, Matt
on the mound as a friend of the show. But look,
you don't have to put the questions a thousand times.
We try to get to questions as much as we can.
This is leading off where we get to questions once
in a while. If you want your questions answered, you
got to join us on the YouTube channel. Wednesday's a
four pm Eastern where it's just about your questions for
that whole hour, all right, just putting.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
The answer since we're negotiating with Terris is that Jay
Ram is golden here. Somebody asked on the Discord Show yesterday.
They came in live, got the question answered and they
were asking what what is viable to trade away for
Ellie And the idea is like, especially if you're positionally
starting to do it, we were talking about like a

(17:08):
Corbyn Carroll swap. Kind of makes sense obviously if you
can get like higher outfielders. I mean, Carol's been great,
but he's kind of tapered down. You should be getting
high in for the.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
World for guys like Kelly.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
So if you are deciding between like trading Ellie, Josier
Ramirez is like, hands down a phenomenal pick. He's in
that small dropping of players. Yeah, and he's in the
small grouping of players that I think are worthwhile coming
off of Ellie even though he's been a little bit
like eh, I would Josier Ramirez is on that short list.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
That ramr is in a vacuum, I take over Ellie.
But I will say this too. Keep in mind, I
saw Ellie's sister passed away this week, so he's gonna
miss some time too. You know, you just never know
when when family things happen, in personal things like how
that affects a player during the season and stuff like that.
And I know this is kind of like really out
there stuff, but they're people. We forget that. We think
they're just stats on the page, but I don't know

(17:59):
their relationship is. I know he's going to miss time
this week as he should to go be with his family.
But you know, sometimes it has a weird, you know
effect where they have magical seasons, sometimes it has a
real negative effect and it you know, drains them from
a mental health standpoint.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
So it's all year long.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
That's I talk a lot about it in from a
different way, but you know, my my prospect show prospect one,
Like I'm very interested in like the intricacies of like
how young prospects kind of like maintain themselves, how they
react and how they are with other teammates and stuff.
But also you know, when I'm on backfield, you just

(18:34):
see other things. You learn other things with these guys,
and you can see, like you know, things that are
of an effect if there are personal things that are
going on, and how long it can drag into an
actual season On Brock Wilkin dealt with some stuff. So yeah,
sure it absolutely could drag. I'm not sure that would
be the reason.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
No, I'm just too for people to know of case
they missed it. Like if you've got daily transactions this week,
you know the shortstop because he's going to miss a
couple of days. It looks like Kyle Teal and the
Battle of the Mountain apologize right, like we know mad
these good people. He spent me because he knows the
chat goes crazy. He's trying to make sure at some
point somebody catches his question. But we do our best

(19:11):
to catch the questions. But if you want your questions again, Wednesday,
four pm Eastern, ring the bells of the Goose days
so you get notifications about it. Kyle Teal is working
out first base because the White Sox can't get an
answer there. He's it in two eighty nine, three ninety four,
four ninety one. Why are we gonna see Kyle Teal?
I feel like it's getting soon, I really do.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
I had heard, Oh, I mean, I've been talking about
it for like three weeks. I'm like, Kyle Tales should
be up, Edgar Carroll comes up. I had heard though
that this is a little counter to it, that there
was some talk that inside of the White Sox might
really want him there for it like this season, that
they might want Teal to really work and get your
full season in. I think if he's working at it

(19:49):
first base, that is telling you a different story. But
it does come back to like, this is not a
winning team. I think one super two is a way.
I think they're going to be pretty open to it.
They're not pushing any limits right now, but I think, like,
when is it gonna come up? But then the next
month seems very viable and stuff like that, but just
also know that these super big loser teams, they might

(20:13):
not be the ones that want to like aggressively press
these press these guys, especially if he's playing another position.
I want Teal lot more than anybody, but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
I've just heard Weird says he's getting close now, Like
now at the time, I think you'd be aggressive on him.
A good question, Ramirez or Teal when he comes up.
Ramire is already hitting, so I'd rather have Ramirez right now.
A gustan yeah, I think long term Teal, to be honest, like,
that's just my take on the two. Haven't watched them
both play.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Like I think Teal can hit at the middle of
the lineup for the White Teal, I.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Think the objectability wise, you know, and if he's gonna
play first base and qualify a catcher, that's also a
huge thing too. Let's get to the three up and
three down, Lawrence Butler, he's been good. I saw somebody
in the chap mentioned that someone dropped him in their league,
and they picked him up. I traded sad hand Dare
for him about a month ago, and that's worked out
for me. I've been very pleased with that unfortunately s

(21:06):
got hurt. But Lawrence Butler nice by Low. Hope you
listened to the show. Jack Flaherty also a by Low.
He was good one run, four hit, six innings, non
w for him and Byron Buckson drove in five runs
yesterday and a steel for good measure against the Athletics
who are just getting pounded.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
And speaking of getting pounded, in that game, Luis Severino
was the one taking the pounding eight runs, five and
a third. Yikes, terrible, I mean he is.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
You know what's crazy too? Yeah, I hit the nrfian,
I had the nerfey in that game. Remember I said
it was really scary, and we still hit it. But
the uh, the Tigers scored six runs in the second inning,
so it was clean first inning. And Severino just exploded
in the second. Twins yesterday, all right, the Twins, the Twins.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
I'm sorry I got confused. Kerry Carpenter on the brink,
I do. I'm just never gonna get over that. And
it's gonna be the one at six with you every time,
Kerry Carpenter.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
When I got away, what could have been?

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Uh? But I mean he's stealing money right now. He's
got a three year contract from the Athletics. It's unbelievable.
And he had pitched so well for the Mets last
year and so well in the postseason. I gotta say
I'm a little surprised that he couldn't take whatever he
was doing well there and bring it with him. Are
you shocked about that?

Speaker 3 (22:18):
No, I'm not shocked.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
I mean he's also in a little baby minor league
ballpark Dale. You know the ball is going to be
flying more.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
Also the coach. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
I'm not shocked about it. I thought Severino would be better.
He's had his moments, but there's some extra factors of
maybe offensive support, maybe defensive support. The ballpark isn't good.
It's only going to get worse as the summer goes on.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
So now I'm not super Billy's got a good question here.
I think Max Meyer will get to Moted. Well, Look,
you got Uri Perez coming back probably Tuesday, I think
for next week, Monday Tuesday. So when this guy gotta
look at the schedule, he's coming back soon, Sandy or
mex somebody's got to go. Somebody's gonna go. I'm just
saying because Edward Cabrera is pitched much better recently, so

(22:58):
you know, maybe Lance was right about him after all.
Jonathan Cannon five runs, three homers, and Richard Fitz was
the Pits six runs, five earned. So not a good
outing from our boy. Dicky Fitz punched right in the
Richard sure did, he sure did. Not a good star
from him. The Red Sox are just reeling right now.

(23:19):
And it's funny since the Red Sox have been reeling,
you don't see much Mike Mayer in the chat lately.
I don't know, just saying I don't see him chirping
in here in the chat very often. So hopefully he's
doing okay and he's back in the chat soon. Let's
get to some injuries. One big one too that I
don't want to bury the lead because I know there's
a big story, but I wanted to give something here
with a little punch to the injury section of the show.

(23:41):
Luke Weaver, well he had an MRI. It's a hamstring strain.
He could miss four to six weeks. Well, she was right.
Devin Williams is back to being the closer, and I
know they said, oh you boy, he's mostly gonna save
mostly Okay, Thanks Aaron Boone mostly gonna be this Okay, whatever, dude,
he's the closer again. It was fun while it lasted.

(24:01):
Injury ruined it.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
So I picked up Luke. I picked up Devin Williams.
I had Luke Weaver. I dropped him for Devin Williams
in our Fantasy pros league the day before money.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Where my mouth was, Actually it was maybe the No,
it was Monday.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Yeah, yeah, it was Monday morning. So money where my
mouth was. I dropped Weaver four Devin prior to this news.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
And I'm very happy about it.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Now, well you shouldn't be happy, people.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
I need some wins because mayor just you know, may.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Were you in your division?

Speaker 2 (24:30):
I think I'm fifth or six right now, I'm tied.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
I think with that person.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
It hasn't cut line as five right top five?

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Probably four, is it?

Speaker 1 (24:37):
I thought it was five? Wonky No, she had.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
He's ahead to the head league. It's not Rodos, yes.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
But there's probably time to move ahead to the next
grouping for playoffs because it's a short league. So I mean,
and I'm really trying hard this year, like I'm sick
and tired of like you know, I mean, I am
daily like just pound the waiver wire looking for things,
trying to you know, and I picked up Simpson got
sent down the next day. Believe it. Oh so brutal,

(25:02):
So brutal. Anyway, Ezekiel Tovar was removed with a left
side discomfort issue. That's not good for the Rockies. A. J.
Smith Schauver is gonna meet with doctor Meister on Thursday,
and he is going that sounds like character you undergo
Tommy John or the internal brace procedure. This could be
fascining to see how guys recover from the brace surgery

(25:25):
versus the true old fashioned Tommy John. I'm just kind
of curious to see how that goes. And then years ahead,
Jazz Chisholm, he's back in the lineup Tuesday for the Yankees.
That's good news for the Yankees. Sean Manaya is facing
face Hitters on Monday in a live VP session. Tyler
glass Now has yet to progress to bullpen sessions. So
I wanted to stop and pause here because you made

(25:46):
a comment earlier about Glassnow and I said, well, we
talked more about him later in the show. This doesn't
sound way no to me. He is starting to feel
like the guy you're gonna put in that category that
he is something like Strasbourg. Like Strass what if you
could play forever? But Strasburg gets some pretty good seasons.
We never got anything close from Tyler Glassnew in a
full complete season. And it is frustrating because I like

(26:10):
the picture, I love the guy, like, I think he's
a cool guy. I like Tyler Glassnew, but from a
fantasy perspective, he has become basically a pariah. I feel
like where you just you can't invest on him. No
discount I think is too much At this point.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
It really sucks us that, like all the guys that
have these injury problems are continuously getting hurt. Like you
just want a little bit for the group of us
that want to, you know, buy on these opportunities, for
players that are being held down by some injury prone
You just want to be right once in a while
and just be like, oh, look at the play the
whole you know, like Jacob de Gram right now is
the guy that's defying the odds. But he's the only

(26:47):
one every other one of these pictures.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
He had four years of being hurt first, I mean,
defining the odds. He's back now for two months. Let's
not like call it a success story yet, Snell or
Glass Now, who's back first from Jerry?

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Wait what, that's what I was agreeing with you. I
don't know what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
I'm saying like I thought you said, except oh you're
talking about da Gram.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Yeah, Well no, I'm saying, like, but da Gram hasn't.
I went to Glass now I got confused. But du
Gram is a success story right now. He has not
gotten hurt.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
He's held through the season without any.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
Story in August. That's what you can call him a
success story.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Oh, I completely agree.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
I'm not saying it's a finished story, like he's probably
still going to have something.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
But all these other guys are.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
It's already happening, like they're they're not giving us like
a little bit of a rope and we're like, oh, look,
everything's okay, and then they're just instantly Snell's getting hurt.
Glass now is getting hurt. We had McClanahan get rehurt,
Like everybody's getting re hurt. It's absolutely crazy, and I'm
pretty out on it. I'm pretty out on Glass down.
I think he is massively talented as well, and that's
the thing that is my biggest, biggest crutch are these

(27:49):
crazy talented players with these injury histories, and they come
in discounts because of that talent. If it's mid talent, Okay,
Tyler Glass now has the ability to be a top
ten fantasy pitcher when he's out there, he's really good.
But he's not out there and he looks like Killian
Merchant Well.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Who's back? First, Smell or Glass Now?

Speaker 2 (28:10):
I think Snell? Maybe Snell finally started throwing. I don't
even know what Glassnell's doing.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Man's justin. Verlander is scheduled to throw a VP session today.
Will update you tomorrow. Gunnar Hogland goes to the IL
with a left hip impingement, So good news is at
least it's not an arm issue. Here's an interesting one too.
Marcelo Zuna all year, I guess, is playing through a
hip tear. So this is an ongoing issue that he's
just playing through. Now you wouldn't know it. He's in

(28:35):
three twenty one with four homers in his last fifteen games,
so it doesn't seem to be impacting him. But is
this something you should be aware of or concerned with? Welsh?
I mean, like I said, the stats are there, but
when you hear news like this, does it make you
a little concern that, like, Okay, maybe Ozuna is a
guy you want to think to move in a trade
at some point mid season.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Yeah. I don't like that. I don't like that at all.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
We hear this sometimes where a guy will be like, oh,
I played through you know, like a rotator cuff injury
for two months and they're telling us this.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
This makes me a little bit worried.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
This is a sign we had on your n Alvarez
from you know, coming into this year. We knew he
played through these injuries, and it kind of mitigated some stuff.
I kind of think, so like what kind of like
give meet some more information, not you, I'm just rhetorically like,
give me some more information.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
What's his hip tear? I know he doesn't do too much.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
He just goes hits and runs the bases, but that
kind of seems like the batting rotation in your body
might affect that hip. So that seems like a little
bit of a way DH.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
I guess that's the saving grace, right Like.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
DH, Yeah, That's what I'm saying, But like you're still
like a pretty heavy rotation.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
I think I think I'm more worried about him running
the bases, you know, than swinging. But at the same time,
I'm not playing the field helps a lot. But it's
definitely one of the things sistic in my mind that if
he has any sort of I don't I don't want
to be I want to be fair to marcel'suna because
he's been really good since he's become a brave and
he's been really good this year. But it is one
of those things. I think it's an I'll get to

(30:00):
stick in the back of your brain and just monitor
as he goes. Shout out to rapid Fish two five
six for just resubbing on our twitch. We we love that.
That's a good thing. Let's get to some more injuries.
Chase de Lander activated today and Uri Prez is going
to make his final rehab start today. It's Tuesday. I
don't think we're going to see him on Sunday. Maybe

(30:20):
I think it's more likely Monday or Tuesday, but it
seems like the last one, so fingers crossed that it
goes well. Welsh, where do you think we're going to
When do you think we're going to see him? Monday? Tuesday?
What's the schedule here for the Marlins coming up?

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Yeah, I don't know what the schedules. I would imagine
it's problem. I mean, technically Sunday would be the lineup,
but I don't know. Monday feels right. I don't think
they're going to press. They're not going to try to
push if he through Tuesday, Dave got traveling stuff.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Or do you want to start him on. It's either
on the road either way, on the road against the
Rays or on the road against the Pirates.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
I think it's Monday.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Yeah, I would agree Monday's the play. I think that's
probably true.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
All right, so they maybe two starts.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
How limited do you think he's going to be too?
In terms of I.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Think it'll be like eighty five pitches. I mean they've
been working him up. I think when I see his
lash was like in the seventies. Maybe, so I think
it's gonna between eighty and eighty five on non stressed innings.
If he has these long if he has like a
twenty five pitch inning or something like that, that could
maybe shorten the total length of it.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
So be on the lookout for that.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Do you think he gives you Let's see him trying
to think how many starts he's got. Let's so let's
probably what what twenty starts? Do they have one hundred
innings in him this year?

Speaker 3 (31:30):
That probably lines up, right, I mean that.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Was twenty that's math.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Yeah, I mean that probably lines up relatively.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
I mean maybe six.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Yeah, but they might baby him, you know, they might
shut him down towards the end of year and stuff
like that. It's you know, maybe eighty t one hundred
something like that.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
So well, good good vibes, that's what we want. Good vibes. Also,
good vibes. It's time for the best bets of the day.
Let's take you through what we have. We have the
Mets first five, Tyler the Terrible, Tyler mcgilligainst Clayton Kershaw,
who's just not very good anymore. He's all fame er
first ballot, but I'm gonna take my chance here. Tyler
McGill has been very strong with the strikeout rate this year.

(32:05):
We've talked about a lot on the show, and the
Mets at least seem to really have the Dodgers' number.
So plus one thirty six I love that plus money
going opo there as the Mets took it to him
again last night in extra innings. Kyleege Schwarber. It's June,
so we got to talk about Kylee Schwarber. One hundred
and four June games. I did the homework here, math
the here. It is ready. One hundred and four games

(32:26):
in June, forty two homers, eighty eight RBI six, fifteen slugging.
It's June. It's officially Schwarberfest. Let's go. I'm just betting
kyleeg Swarber outright to hit home run today plus two forty.
So I'm giving away my home run call. But that's
my bet today too. I'm just going straight for it.
And Spencer Strider against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who I think
right now. You know, when you lose a picture like
Corbyn Burns, I think it takes the air out of

(32:47):
the sales. And the only thing worse than that is
having an ace on the mound against you. And Spencer Strider.
It's not the Nationals he has to face, which is good.
So let's get right. This is the getting I'm calling.
This is the get right Spencer Strider moment. Over six
and a half strikeouts, maybe you can ladder bet it.
I don't know, maybe you can get it to eight
or nine, but minus one eighteen I think that's the
safest way to go Welsh. I just think that the

(33:09):
air is out of the balloon a little bit for
the Diamondbacks with that Corbyn Burns stuff. So let's get
to your best bets for today on a Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Yeah, all right, so my best bets. We are going
to kick it off and start with Lance McCullers. Lance
mccullor's stroke out was at twelve in his last start.
We've got five and a half at plus money. I
think McCullers might kind of be back, So I'm going
to be in the market to see against a Pirates
team who is definitely waffy as far as their offense

(33:37):
goes that I think McCullers can hit that again. It's
a plus money strikeout play. It's my favorite of the day.
I'm going to go with the Phillies run line through
the first five, so that means they need to be
up by a run through the first five innings. That
is minus one ten against the Blue Jays. And as
you said, it is Schwarberfest time, so Schwarber can help

(33:58):
lead that we also have Cris Sanchez on the mount
and then going with your Braves over the Diamondbacks with
Spencer Schreider. I'm going to take Atlanta run line minus
one and a half on the Diamondbacks. It is big
plus money. It's plus one forty for the Braves to
win by two. You could get a gallon get right
fixed game. I'm just not betting on it right now.

(34:19):
He can't go deep into games. He gets blown up.
You've got a Kunya back. Austin Riley hits him really well,
that offense clicking. I don't feel super great about Zach
Allen today, and I think Spencer Strider is going to
get right against those Diamondbacks as well. So I think
the Braves can win by two. So I'm going to
take the run line at a big old plus one forty.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Those those you go everybody, you know, it's kind of
funny Welsh. The day that Richard fitz gets pounded is
the one day we don't have a Kaisa trex read
for me to make a transition.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
I get, that's just that's yeah, we did that.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
Bums me out. Also, Ron Burgundy moment, it's rapid flash,
not rapid Fish. I don't know why I said rapid Fish.
I just so rapid Flash welcome.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
It was such a ridiculous name.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
I was like, rapid Flash. Really that less?

Speaker 3 (35:03):
I don't know, it's a little less lolli, you know.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
It's a little less, not much, not loli. Is the

All right, let's get to the home run board and
see what happened after yesterday's madness. Well, she would have

(35:49):
had twenty. You would have had twenty, you would have
been back in the top ten.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Man, I'd have been seven, could have.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
What could have been? What could have been? I got
another one, though, So I'm up to sixteen. Is that correct?

Speaker 3 (36:01):
You're gonna pass me soon. I'm on coold.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
That's gonna be the worst. What if I get to like,
let's say Schwarber hits two today and I get to
eighteen and you're off the board, that's gonna be brutal.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
I think you should do it without picking judjo Otani.
Moving forward, Let's see if you can pass me without
your your scale. How many of your homers have come
from judge otime.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
I'm at sixteen, by the way, sixteen, I don't know.
I've gotten a few. I've been a handful.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
I haven't gone I haven fifteen of them.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
It's not true. It's not true. Maybe half between the
two of them. But whatever, this is not you know,
there's no rule about who you can pick who you
can So sorry, Georgia at the top of twenty eight,
twenty six, So solar Flare had Kerry yesterday. So solar
Flare all the way up to eighteen. So that's pretty

(36:47):
cool again. Sammy Sosa jersey up for grabs from Pristine
Auction dot com. Autographed by Sammy Sosa. Go check out
Pristine Auction and check out our Discord Fantasypros dot com
slash chat. That's where you can go and make your
home run calls. All right, I've already given mine away.
It's Schwarbert, it's June. Let's go Wels. Where are you
going for your home run call today? Uh?

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Give me Ronnie Ronnie Acunya up against leading off and
up against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Zach Gallon. Zach Gallen
is going to have one of those innings and he
is going to be a part of it. You know,
did miss an opportunity there? Five's got a good point.
Taglione would have been a pretty good bed.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Who are the Royal? Who? You remember?

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Royals are going up against the Cardinals? A big brown
ball pitcher.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
I don't love that, but yeah, that would have been you.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
It would have been fun getting to the bullpen guys.
But yeah, so seven of my homers are Otani or Judge,
So that's still less.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Than I don't believe that's got to be more.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Less than half. I said, it's about half less than half.
You've you've picked Otani or Judge. I think once or twice.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
I think I picked Otani once picked them more, just
saying obviously.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
That wouldn't pikers have a lot more homers more?

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Maybe Kerry Carpenter would have been the way to go.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
I should just carry car anytime he's against a writy,
just take care of you. That's what she's gonna go,
like over, never have a homer again if I pick him?

Speaker 1 (38:09):
