Speaker 1 (00:05):
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Bros. MLB. This is leading
off live and it's me Joey p Joe Pisa, Pia
with me of course is the Welsh, and it's all
of you, the Peanuts of the Cracker Jacks here live
on our twitch twitch dot tv slash Fantasy Bros. Make
sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel if you're watching
on demand Fantasy Bros MLB. Yeah, and we've got a
jampat Day of Baseball, more impactful injuries, big picture names
(00:29):
are hurt. We've got closer situations to talk about. We've
got it all. But Welsh. I got to start off
with maybe the most exciting zero for five I've ever seen.
Jack Kegleone made his debut. He went hitless, but my god,
did he hit the ball hard all over the place. Oh,
the twenty two year old prospect at an average ev
of ninety eight point four. He hit a ball one twelve,
(00:51):
he hit a ball one thirteen. I got to watch
all his at bats and it was super fun, and
it was again just slightly depressing because his family was
all there and I wanted just one of those to
go in and just fine grass. It did not but man,
oh Man, looks like the Royals found themselves a true
power hitter. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
It's one of those where like he can go zero
for five and people can be like, I'm not as
worried as maybe I should have, because everybody panics and
freaks out too much. But four of his five at
bats he registered a hard hit ninety five miles per
hour or higher. You mentioned in that game he had
the two hardest hit balls, by the way. The first
one everybody in the world thought he was getting a double,
(01:32):
if not a homer, and Victor Scott gets it, but
then he smashes one to Nolan Aeronauto. I mean, two
crazy good defenders. There's some bad luck in that. But
I thought he looked good. I loved everything about it.
They placed him at six. You know the other thing
that threw me off. Did you see the thing with
the guy from CBS who was like, this is the
(01:52):
biggest mistake a team has ever made in bringing Caglione up.
And I think they it might have been based around
roster manipulation and stuff like that, but just the hot
takes on bringing a back to rejuvenal. I saw that.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
You know, it's funny he shall remain nameless, but a
baseball analyst personality on television. I'm not gonna say who
said one of the dumbest things ever, which was, you know,
all these expected eras and all this stuff, that doesn't
mean if guy's gonna be worse. It means a guy's
doing better despite the fact baseball is hard to Mike, no,
(02:27):
you moron, that's literally the opposite of what all these
numbers mean. And that is quite possibly the dumbest thing.
And I can't believe this is an ex player nonetheless
saying this on air. And I just wanted to just
I just wanted to crawl under the blanket and not
come out, but I did. I came out here for
this show today. I also wanted to crawl out of
(02:48):
the blanket after Sandy al Contra start, maybe just peek out.
I don't know. I don't know if this reached our
men threshold or not. So it was his best outing
probably all here. But it was against the Rocky. Now,
the Rockies did win the first series they've won I
don't know since nineteen ninety seven. Maybe I don't know,
but look it's the Rockies, so great assault is what
(03:10):
it is. One walk struck out for six innings. So
I don't know if you saw the highlights, I don't
know if you just watched part of the start, What
did you think about Sandy? Is it safe to go
out there and start him again or are you still waiting?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
I don't know if it's safe to start him, that's
a bigger question. I mean, I think this gave him
a little bit more latitude, Like you could feel a
little bit better. You're supposed to be good against a
team like this. Negatively, he only had eight whiffs in
this start. Interestingly, he threw his change up the least
(03:43):
of any of his pitches. I mean, this is a
guy that lives and dies off of that changeup. It
has not been as effective this year, and he threw
it only fourteen percent of the time. Maybe that's going
to be a new piece, you know, maybe strikeouts are
not going to be one hundred percent in tow for him.
But I'm very interested to see as far as the
usage goes. He was heavy sinker, curveball, slider. But I
(04:05):
think we can maybe maybe trust Sandy. Maybe who's the
next start again?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Swash that would be coming up? What Sunday? Right? I
don't know who it would be though. I think we
talked about the Why do I feel like we just
talked about with the Pirate? No, the Pirates are Monday, Tuesday,
That's when Ury Perez is going.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I'm about to say that that's a dream setup, go
from the Rockies to the Pirates.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Yeah, it would be, But I don't think we're gonna
get that Lucky. I think there's somebody in between. It's
the race and it's in Tampa. So I don't know
how you feel about that start.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
I think you could be okay. Like I mean, the
big thing with Sandy as I'm looking here, like the
whiffs and the inability to get strikeouts, to me is
what stands out. One thing I want to look at
real quick with him is pitch mix. Yeah, so this
is the thing to watch. His second most used pitch.
I didn't want to or not. I guess it's three
(04:55):
now maybe after this start. I didn't want to say
it yet, but his third use pitch is his change
up twenty three percent of the time. Sinker is now
twenty four. I'll bet that flipped after this game because
he threw a sinker more than any other pitch. The
point of this is that he dipped down almost not scrapping,
but dropping down that change up to the least used pitch.
That's that's like, that's the thing that gets him out.
(05:17):
That he had a thirty percent with rate on it
last year eight percent, I'm sorry, thirty three percent this
year and he had a thirty percent last year and
he's making that the lowest pitch. Is he going to
sacrifice trying to strike out guys to just trying to
induce week contact. Maybe that's going to get him right,
Maybe that's going to change the focus on him. It's
just so tough to say because it's Colorado. They're they're horrible,
(05:40):
they's the worst. But I think that is a start
that you could maybe maybe stream.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yeah, I mean the maybe calm with you and it's
gotta be. And look, there's been a lot of pitching injuries.
We're gonna get to them today. Jerry wants to know
Drew Rasmison is good. I don't understand why they don't
let him go past five innings. Yeah, he was really
good again, outstanding. One might even say eight strikeout, five
innings of shutout baseball. I got some stats for you,
you like the stats. You like the nuggets? You ready,
you got the dipping sauce ready, I got some nuggets
(06:07):
on Drew Rasmison. So twenty three consecutive scorrels innings. He
is a two point one four ERA over that span,
a point eight to seven whip, fifty six strikeouts of
thirteen walks, and sixty three innings. He's the first starting
pitcher in American League history to have a four start
span with a four to zero record, no runs allowed,
ten or fewer hits, and three or fewer walks allowed.
How about that for a run for Drew Rasmisen.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Yeah, I'm looking here too. Didn't even realize five straight
starts without an earned run. He has one start where
he's given up over four earned runs. Kind of looks
like Jack liders game log too. By the way, only
one bad game in there. It's very interesting, but the
strikeouts have kind of been there. But he is coming
off of an injury from last season, so I think
that that's part of the thing. If you're wondering, like
(06:51):
why doesn't he go deep into games? Like his efficiency
is there, They've got the bullpen. I think he is
more than useful. It sucks for you quality start leagues,
and that's something you just keep in mind. Quality start
leagues are not in play here, but your rasp Musen
has been in dude, I didn't even think I realized
how good he's been.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Am I am? I glitching because the chat again is
like you did take them.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, you're good. You're good for one good glitch every
single show, if not too you know. And then he
glitched and then he froze. What an incredible moment, What
an incredible moment. You you just almost you are opining
that whole situation, and then you froze.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
I know, I said, you know, and then I noticed
it glitching for the first time. I went, all right,
there you go.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
I thought you were happy, everybody. I thought you were acting.
You were you were amazing.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
There, brilliant, thank you. All right, let's go on here. Uh,
Bryce Arper came back. He homered walked twice, so no
ill effects from the elbow. That's good news, can tell
Marta three for three, two more homers for him, hope
that somebody had him in there, also two homers for Corbyn. Carol,
we talked about how the month of May, you know,
the counting stats were still there, but the batting average
(08:02):
was very low. Maybe a time to buy on him.
Maybe that window closed.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
I know, it's very funny because, like I wrote in
our article, Corbyn Carroll, we did the video, I had
us put Corborck Carroll in there to talk about it.
That had a shelf life of.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Like six hours.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah, roughly, Like we put that info out and I
saw that last night and I was like, well, that's
not gonna like people are gonna be like, oh you guys.
It's like, no, we got it before, but it's not
gonna live too long. He got right back in. But
this is this is kind of my point with Carol.
He's had some inconsistencies and stuff, but that that change
that he's made to his stance, it's allowing him to
(08:38):
get to the ball better and he's able to get
out of these things. And it was a good reverse
jink cause I had on the Diamondbacks yesterday. But Ka
tells a monster. Corman Carroll's buying window went bye bye.
But that was very funny that we barely got any
of that good info out there.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Well. Also Bob barely good or maybe just bad. Spencer
Strider again, five runs, six hits, wrikeout rate is there.
You know he's striking guys out. But you know, Welsh,
I could I could give a past and you say, okay,
his career for Instant nationals. You know, some guys just
have weird numbers against weird teams for whatever reason. But
now it's starting to get frustrating. I will say I'm
(09:16):
not a Spencer Schrider manager, but I have sent a
trade or two out there in the Spencer Strider space
because I think that's an interesting time to buy, because
I think he's just trying to get the feelback. And
as you see these guys recover from Tommy John, he
also might have been one of these dudes that maybe
just pushed a little too quickly and we have to
be more patient with And I don't know what your
(09:36):
perspective is on Strider, but i'd love to hear it.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
I'm a little bit worried. Eno just had a thing.
I was trying to look for it to give some
of the notes, but I'm not seeing it.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
But just go finding a children's book, you know, just
had a thing by Christopher Welsh.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Me writing a ready you know that would be appropriate.
But what he was essentially talking about is like, there
looks like there is something lost in the stuff plus numbers,
the stuff plus numbers, we're seeing a downtick in Spencer Strider,
and I think that's a pretty worrisome thing. I don't
know if it's long term, like Keeper League Dynasty, I'm
crazy worried. If anything, I might be there with a buye.
(10:11):
But post surgery, there is a loss, and you see
it in the You see it in the fastball velocity.
He's down a full mile per hour. He hasn't regained
any of the whiff on that the slider is down
almost two miles per hour right now. It's still his
whiff pitch because it's his second most used, but he's
also not throwing his curveball. The stuff isn't the same.
(10:33):
It might simply be about him, you know, recapturing some
game time and finding himself into the season, but there
also might be a total loss at this point. So
I guess what I'm getting at is like the Spencer
Strider that we have the high expectations of, he might
not quite be there this year, regaining stuff in season
for a two pitch pitcher who's also not lean like
(10:54):
he's a two pitch pitcher that isn't like, all right,
let me lean a little bit more into this other stuff. No,
he's moving away. He threw his curveball eleven percent of
the time last year. He's throwing at six percent. And
I guess if yeah, if I'm looking at numbers, I
guess maybe it's like a percentile difference between his change
up and curveball. But the stuff numbers are down on
Spencer Strider post surgery, and it's really hard to understand
(11:16):
if it's going to come back up. So I've been
with you as like a bye. Maybe he's a little
bit more of a cell than we're thinking if.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
He's gone well for any of the returning Tommy John
guys right, Shane McClanahan, Sandy al Contra, Spencer Schreider, whom
I forget, Joey Otani hasn't thrown a pitch.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
It's no shock. The year like the year return from
having the surgery, like results are not the best. That's why,
like you know, the post Tommy John bumped the season
after like that's probably the time to buy, but there's
also the potential they never regain it either.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Speaking of that, Corbyn Burns, how's that for a transition
elbow apparently inconclusive results. So second opinions, well should I
found this out at the same time yesterday and we
were discussing it, just not too thrilled about it. So
we'll just have to wait and see, I guess and
(12:07):
just told your breath but they.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Said wouldn't tomorrow. Yeah, I'm I was a bad optimistic.
I was a lot more optimistic about this, Yeah, because
like there was a there's some info out there that
was like maybe his inflammation and stuff like that. But
as soon as like we had gone more than twenty
four hours from the MRI and then we get the
info that it was inconclusive and the second opinion second
(12:30):
and then the words that using the phrase second opinion,
it is always bad. So now I'm thinking the worst
and we're gonna I thought I actually thought the worst
case was we were going to lose Corbyn burns until
the All Star break for them to kind of just
like regroup and let him rest. Because they let him rest,
he came back and then he hurt himself. This now
really does feel like the second opinion is going to
(12:51):
kill him for the year.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Second opinion is the same as your boss making a
meeting with you on a Friday afternoon.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Yeah can we talk?
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Yeah, hey before you leave for the week.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Game had one of those a couple of years ago at.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Those TPS reports. Ready Junior cavin Aro, another good day
for him, Another hole run. Tyler Molly who was on
our cell list. You should go watch that video for
the reasons why he was bad yesterday. So although the
Corvick Cara onan bit Us and the ass, we were
right about Tyler Molly, so that cancels out.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
You just got to watch those videos really quick. Apparently
like we've got a couple that we're just making the
trade right now, do it.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
On Lance mccullors, we said the schedule was good and
we were right. Another good outing for him, six innings,
seven strikeouts. I don't know how long it's gonna last,
but this is the cell high window for mccullors. For sure.
His value will never be higher. If you want to
sell them, these last three starts have been magical. The
matchups have been so favorable. You just have to take
that into account. I'm not saying you have to trade them.
(13:49):
What I'm saying is you might be able to pull
off something you never could have fath him with all
these pitching injuries we're dealing with between burns, We're gonna
get the Lopez later and who there's another one hundred
green back in the eye out so many.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
It's a gestion, Well, hold on. It's a fair point
that you're saying the matchups where he went Athletics in Pittsburgh,
the Athletics, and then even maybe it's a smaller degree
like the Mariners and the and the Rangers. You know,
Rangers underperformed and stuff like that. But I don't know
if I want to sell in Lance mccullors, this might
(14:20):
be the best time. Maybe I'm wrong about it, but
most a twenty nine percent K percentage, the walks I'm
really hoping are going to start to tick back down,
and they have over his last two starts. He's only
walked one in each of them. He's finding himself, but
he's another guy coming off of this like injury after injury.
I actually think, in this world of scary pictures right now,
PHELI like Lance could be had for a little bit
(14:41):
less than that we're thinking, and actually think I might
be kind of a bye on him.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Zeng Goose four twenty just cheered one hundred bits. Thanks
and goose. Also, you know, I'm a little annoyed at
mcculors because I missed out on him by a dollar
in my home league? Is that the worst? When you
get up in by a dollar? You're just like I
and I was more aggressive and I scaled it back
as I'm like, what am I doing? Is June, it's
Lance mccullors. What am I doing? Like?
Speaker 2 (15:05):
What money? I like to spend it early?
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yeah, I know, but I don't know. Whatever, We'll see,
We'll see if it works out. My favorite later on,
Jezz Chisholm was back and he had a home run
in his return, good news for Yankees. David Williams got
to save, but he did give up a run, just
saying it's what he does. All right. Let's talk about
some transactions potentially here, because Jeff Passen is reporting that
(15:28):
the Rays I guess are in the market, maybe to
move Zach Lttel, who doesn't have any options left, so
that makes a lot of sense. Brandon Lao apparently is
getting a lot of attention as well. We know the
Red Sox we talked about yesterday, so a lot of
sellers in the American League East right now. And speaking
of the American League East, the Red Sox optioned Richard
Fits down to Triple A, so Dobbins is going to
(15:50):
take over that spot. So that's a problem. Again, we
don't have the Kaiser Treks read for Dick Fits going down.
That would be a apropropriate. But I do have a
Microsoft read and the Red Sox are today's Chasing Challengers segment.
Just like the athletes who push boundaries and redefine what's
possible in business, decision makers today are turning challenges into opportunities.
(16:13):
And Microsoft meets you where you are with the tools
and guidance to say, bring it on with safe, secure
AI solutions. So let's talk about the Boston Red Sox
for a moment, because things are not going well and
it might be time for the Boston Red Sox to
maybe look to the future. Get Roman Anthony up here.
We've got Marcelo Mayor, we got Christian Campbell. I don't
(16:33):
like trading Jaron Duran, but if it's going to bring
you back some more pitching help for next year, Okay,
I'm listening to it. The Red Sox have lost seventeen
to one run games in twenty twenty five, Welsh, I
don't know if you realize that that's half their losses. Right.
They've had the third most runners left on base this season,
so it's just not happening for them. Now. They could
grin and Barrett and hope to make a run the
(16:54):
second half. I just don't know if this rotation is
built that way currently, and I just don't know if
the clubhouse has that run in them. The Bregmant injury
certainly hurt them. Apparently he's coming back quickly, But it
might be smart at this point for the Red Sox
to say, this is a long term plan we've got
with these kids. Let's get Roman Anthony up here. Jaron
Duran's coming off his best season of his career. Maybe
(17:15):
a cash in on that. So, after forty eight hours
of thinking about this whole Red Sox, should they stay
in it? Should they not? Maybe it is best to
kind of see what the kids have, what else you
have to get in the off season and retool for
twenty twenty six. Which sucks if you're a Red Sox fan,
but unfortunately, sometimes everything that can go wrong just does.
And this week's chasing challenges segment. Remember, Microsoft AI solutions

you can navigate your journey with confidence, finding innovative solutions,

Let's do a little fun facts. You like fun facts, Bosh,
(18:00):
make it fine. Paul Skeens last five games, thirty four innings,
thirty eight strikeouts, seven walks, four earned runs, zero wins
for Paul Skins. How much does it suck to be
Paul Skeens as a pirate?
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (18:14):
Who was?
Speaker 2 (18:15):
I just saw something last night that there was someone
that was doing this like a couple of years ago,
where it was just like incredible. Maybe it was de Grom.
Maybe it was de Grom where he's getting like these
insane starts, no wins, no run support every year. There's
a couple guys with it, but it's no shocker. It's Pittsburgh.
He's just littering out these incredible starts and getting not
(18:36):
a ton of run support, dropping ninety nine mile an
hour sinkers and stuff, it's it's pretty brutal, but you
know it actually is something. I'll tell you this. I
was working on my ranks yesterday the rest of season,
and you know, staring like Turk Skoogle looks like he
just needs to be he just has to be number one.
But Garrett Crochet at this point, I guess you could
argue with everything you said about the Red Sox. Maybe
(18:56):
they're not too far off, but Crochet he's getting way.
It looks like he has a better support of wins.
And just on your Red Sox thing real quick. I
might have been premature, but I just did a video
for betting Pros and I just I can't quite let
go of the Red Sox and it feels stupid, especially
after they just let that start go. But even after
everything you said, they're like five games out of a
(19:17):
wild card right now still, so it's like, I feel
like it's hard for them to sell out, but they've
got this.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
You can sell out and still sell Duran and bring
up Roman Anthony. It might not miss a beat.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
Oh I might completely agree with that.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
I mean, you might even better. So if there's moves
to be made, make the moves and see where it
takes you. Maybe the influx and the energy of the
young kids does carry this team forward. Maybe. I mean,
look how bad the Mets were last year in June
right this time last year, the Mets were on death's door.
Ever since, they've got the best record in baseball. So,
I mean, you know, you can't necessarily think it's all
gonna be dooming gloom unless you're Royce Lewis and you
(19:51):
have him on your fantasy team. Last eight games over
twenty eight he's in one twenty seven over that span,
with one homer in twenty one games this season. Gross.
Also gross, Michael Harris the second uh so one two
eighty four, two oh three, two oh three since May.
That's the slugging percentage.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Welsh comments, Yeah, I know, I mean that's something we
kind of talked about it. I mean, you want that
was amazing?
Speaker 1 (20:20):
How many I want a horrum? Fat of that guy?
Somebody give you a horror.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
There's well, there's kind of a like, well what are
we doing here? Like is Joey want's validation? You did good?
Joe good job. Yeah, he's not super great right now.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
He doesn't look good. Not this this is a throwback
to to yesteryear. He's not special. He's not just not special.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
No, the two titles to everybody surprising. But I will
say he's got about forty points higher on his expected
batting average two seventy six.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Oh that means nothing, because I work for Major League
Baseball and I'm an analyst. That's all. That's all poppy
cock nerd stuff.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
All right. If you had, if you had to, if
you had to ride one out, Michael Harris or Jack Lighter,
Jack Lighter, your obsessions, your two obsessions to bring up when.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Wait ride went out like negative that I'd gone back,
like you had to have a jackame. Oh, I'll take
Jack Lighter over Michael Harris. Any pitcher in a port, right, Now,
here's a fun one too. Fewest games to fifteen home
runs and twenty stolen bases, Eric Davis forty games in
nineteen eighty seven, Ken Williams fifty four games in nineteen
twenty two, Bobby Bonds not Barry Bonds in nineteen seventy three,
(21:28):
and Pete curl Armstrong sixty games in twenty twenty five. Also,
Bo Jackson was right under them met eighty nine. So yeah,
pretty good list there, all right, let's continue on here
with the next ones, the three ups and the three downs.
Max Munsey two homers, so he's getting hot again. You know,
you just wait long enough, Mac Max Monsey just starts
having these double don games all the time. Trey Turner
(21:50):
three for five, he had two homers and Carlos Rodn
one run, eight strikeouts for him over seven innings. Who
would rather have rest of season ro Don or Max Freed?
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Ooh, Max Freed. But I was about to say, like, dude,
all we ever do is talk about Carlos Reddon on
this show, and it's and it's in like good a
quick passpot.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Noan he's been amazing. It's like, hey, in the three
ups and it's like Carlos Redon's there, Carlus Redon's there.
Two four nine ERA so far this year, sub one whip.
You know, I mean I kind of quickly said Max
f Reed. But it's not to take away from Carlos Redon,
who got his K percentage back. He had two straight
years of having just like sub to average K numbers.
All of a sudden, it's back into that elite range.
(22:33):
He looks like that elite strikeout thrower again. Era is supportive.
Stuff looks good and this is all He lost a
mile prower on his fastball and he is still getting
this going, trying to see if there's any pitch mixed changes.
He's just throwing his change up a bit more. I
mean really, it's just kind of like the same version.
He's just way more efficient. Looks good and I don't know,
(22:53):
Like I kind of angel just said, I can't trust Fordon.
I don't know. You're getting into territory where maybe you
can kind of trydon there's a little bit that screams
sell at this high point because of this, like a
fever pitch of value. I'm selling him, but I don't know, man,
he just rattles off. He had one bad game that
he said one.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Year, two bad games. At the beginning of the year.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
He has three starts. He had three starts where he
gave up a combined thirteen runs over the three that
was against the Diamondbacks, Tigers, and Giants. Since then, I
don't actually think, hold on, I'm into this mouth. I
don't think he's given up all his other starts that
manyeons one, two, four, eight, nine, ten. No, so he's
(23:36):
given up less earned runs on all starts versus that
three start stretch he had in April. So I don't know,
Probably three start of a dude.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Stretch in April is what in our shallow league dropped
him because I was like, there's so many guys in
the waiver wire. Why am I mucking around with this
Carlo Sporadon guy. He's driving me crazy. I live to
regret that decision, Uh thought to his prime wants to
know is Barger for real? Well, should watch the waiver
wire video that were recording later today and we'll get
more into that. That's what we call teas in the business.
The three downs. Andre Palente. First of all, this is
(24:07):
like triple sevens. It's like when you when you're in
Las Vegas and you pull the the slot machines to
get all the sevens. Andre Polante seven innings, excuse me,
six hits over four to third, seven runs, Bowden Francis
seven runs, six earned, Michael Lorenzen seven runs on seven hits. Crazy,
all the sevens in there. Let's get to the injuries.
(24:28):
I got so many d ms and text messages yesterday, that.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Is the most.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
I don't know what to do, but laughing.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
This is the most leading off thing, because we have
been talking about this guy all season long. We are
officially in groundhogs Day.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
I mean, it's just sad music for Brandon Woodrif at
this point. So he got hit by a ball that
was going one thousand miles an hour off of.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
His one eight off of it, Like I.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Don't want to laugh.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
It probably hurt his last start, his last rehab start.
He was about done. Brandon Woodruff.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
This is the worst we're talking.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Brandon Woodruff is one of the nicest guys on the planet.
You're rooting for him, but he's never gonna pitch. He
did something to somebody. There's a hex on him. We
need that heck's removed. Is there a witch in the audience?
We need to reverse the curse on Brandon Woodruff.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Maybe the kazoo will do it, That's all I know.
You know, when you play Celine Dion on the kazoo,
my heart will go on from Titanic. For those of
you who are I'm sure what I might be playing.
I thought it was pretty clear. I thought I was like,
pretty good, it was pretty good? It was it was
I laughed out loud and died inside at the same time.
One of our listeners unsented to me. He was the
first one and said it, and then it was like
(26:02):
the onslaught of people sending it to me, and I
just don't know what to say anymore. Now they say
it was they took him out as a precaution. So
the hope is there was uncomfortable whatever. Maybe this is
the scared straight moment, Welsh, where the bruses go, all right,
enough is enough. We can't keep leaving this guy down there.
They got to get him out.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
They're gonna be like, we took him out for a precaution.
He'll need seven more rehab starts, though, you get after this.
Just put him in the majors. Just put him in
the major League. We don't need how many more starts
does he need to get right? Just do it there,
you'll be okay, Okay, my god.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
All right, let's move on, because I don't even know
what to say anymore. Pablo Lopez he exited early yesterday
and he's go go with.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
M A I wash.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
He's gonna undergo an MRI I uh on the right
shoulder because it's tight. This is not good news, Welsh.
I can tell you right now. This is an other
one that's not good. Bad for the twins too. Now
the winners here, Zebbie Matthews, David Festa, Oh yeah, because
those are the big winners here. So if you have
shares of them, you see this news and you go, yeah,
these guys are gonna stick in the rotation. You don't
(27:14):
want anybody to get hurt. But this is a huge
boon for those guys because now they can breathe and
know that, you know, one bad start, they're probably not
gonna get sent down because they're gonna need all hands
on deck in this rotation. He's gonna be out for
a while, if not the year.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Yeah, I mean it seems like bad but fest yeah,
because Zeby's already there. Zebbe's pitching today. But this should
bring up David Festa, and I'm I'm kind of here
for that. Probably just again like a streamer, I don't
know if even Zebby either one of these guys. I mean,
if you know, Zebbie starts rattling off, he got out
of some trouble on the last start. If you know,
if he can put out put down another good one,
(27:48):
David Festa would be a pretty decent streamer or speculative
ad to see if he can rattle a few, but
I am not optimistic. But maybe also it's like the
Corbyn Burns stuff and everybody getting for Brandon Woodruff. You know,
the sun moving in the wrong way and he has
three more starts. You know, whatever it is, there's something
about the pictures right now. None of it's ever good news,
(28:09):
none of it.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
I want him to do a full season at Triple
A at this point, like I want to just stay unbrand.
I want Hi to make thirty two starts at Triple
A and Double A this year. By wood Drof just
never come up.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Just I just wanted to pitch in all the levels
of the miners.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
And then about the year I spent rehabbing, Yeah, by
Brandon Woodriff, I.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Wanted that song man with the hecks. That's just band
wood Hunter.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Green might also be that guy he reinjured is growing.
It's such a shame too, because he looked sharp yesterday
and then the groin injury came back, so he went
immediately back to the il. So that's terrible news here
for fantasy managers. George Kirby, he got it in the face,
but he's okay. Luckily, somehow a scary moment, blood coming out,
you know, and now no one Ryan would have stayed
in the game. But we have lesser athletes nowadays. Just saying,
(28:53):
just saying, just saying, Nolan Ryan pitched with blood on
his jersey, proceeded today. He did get it in the
face by a ball. I want to say, hit by
Ricky Henderson. I want to say, hit the ball, that's there,
you go, here, you go, Peenos and Cracker Jacks. I'm
too busy right now hosting the show and doing all
(29:13):
this stuff. Find out who hit the ball at Nolan Ryan.
I could have even I don't why jack just watched
this documentary Bo Jackson, So okay, Bo Jackson hit a
ball off Nolan Ryan's face and He's stayed in the
game and was like, I'm gonna spit out the blood,
blood on the jersey, and then she said, I'm gonna
finish the rest of the time. So we can't evaluate
(29:35):
George Kirby because he got hit in the face. So
don't ask us what we thought of the George Kirby start,
because we don't know. Jordan Westburg one for five working
his way back. Col Reagan's gonna be activated tomorrow against
the Cardinals Shane Bieber. Let's not hold our breath for
more Tommy John guys. At this point, his next rehab
starts gonna be Friday. But whatever, Uri Perez, we promised
you stats yesterday he allowed one run, struck out four
(29:57):
over four and our third innings his count was up
to eighty two. And it's good timing because Max Meyer
went on the il with a hip impingement yesterday, so
we called that one was Meyra al Contra. Somebody was
gonna go, and Meyer it is. And Shane McClanahan news
could potentially return by late July or early August, which
is code for it's not happening this year.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
First, Oh, I don't know. I think I think he'll
pitch and then post All Star Break, I think we'll
see him. We want to get you want to get
some starts, and you want to have something under his belt.
I mean, it's an absolute waste and we're all wrong
about McLanahan getting re hurt and re energizes the idea
of like being more cautious with guys that are coming
(30:38):
off of some major injury going into the season and
stuff like that for drafts. But I think it would
definitely behoove the team. Tod let him get a handful
of starts so he's like good for next year.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
One of our amazing producers, Seth, named the Brandon Woodriff
Bio a Year on the Farm by Brandon Woodruff. That's
good work, Seth.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Yeah, Seth is.
Speaker 1 (30:56):

apps Welsh. You know what else they love? They love
the best bets of the day with Joey p and
the Welsh. Look at that transition. So here we go.
We're gonna run through these bad boys for you. I'm
going Juan Soto for the RBI plus one forty five
(31:39):
against Tony Gonsolin one went yard yesterday, Jack Cagle owns
something's gonna break for that kid. Today, I'm manifesting Welsh
with this bet. Today total base is over one and
a half plus one thirty. Let's go Jackie boy hitting
balls at one hundred and forty miles an hour everywhere
and give you the first five Atlanta with Chris Sale
on the mound minus one thirty five. That's your safest investment.
(32:00):
Sales been tremendous this year, Welsh, what do you have
for the people on a Wednesday?
Speaker 2 (32:04):
Let's go roll over Chicago Washington under eight point five
total runs. We got mckinzigre on the bump, we got
a little bit of Matthew Boyd. We're gonna go under
runs for that one gunner Henderson over one point five
on the total basis, so two total bases today, I believe,
going up against Emerson Hancock and ONEO Cruz. Though the
batting average is struggled, I think we get right today
(32:25):
over one point five on the total basis. That is
even money. So two total base plays and a little
bit on the under runs. Those be the best bets
of the day.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
And of course go ahead and new customers on FanDuel
bet five bucks get two hundred and fifteen bonus bets.

(32:58):
get it. I can't wait to see the home run
board today after yesterday's Carol bombs and Turner bonds.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
No, yeah, my nose coming.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
Do you want that? Or you want the sad home
Alone song?
Speaker 2 (33:18):
What?
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Yeah, I know I like the home Alone At first,
I didn't know it. Sonka Penwy.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Nineteen. Look at Georgia twenty eight. George is strong. George
is like the Sammy Sosa of this contest. By that,
I mean probably on massive amounts of performance dancing drugs.
I am the autographed Sami Sosa jersey up for grabs here.
Congratulations that George far out of twenty six. Martya twenty three,
dj Osborne twenty three, keV mon At twenty three also
(33:57):
so and I am still stuck. So I don't know
George had yesterday or who had the double dogs. But
it's sad to see Welsh off that list. But we
got to get you back on there now. The question
is we're back. We were gone for like five minutes.
We should do a whole show. We're just graphics. It'll
be like a wood stream yard is having some issues
now working around, which is why we were a little
late yesterday, folks. So that's what's going on here today.
(34:18):
So just trying to make do with what they will
allow us and not allow us to do.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
We should just come back, though, we will get next.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
To that board, me or Welsh. Everybody drop your comments below.
He gets there.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
I'm a I'm on a horrible it's still behind you though. Yeah,
but like you know, you take Otani and Judge, you're
gonna you're gonna roll.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
Out one behind you and how many. I'm two off
the board. So I gotta a big night, you know
what feels like. It feels like a one one night,
feels like Juan Soto plus three thirty. Let's go taking
it to Tony Gonsolin and the Dodgers. How you do win?
You doin Welsh?
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Not doing so great?
Speaker 1 (34:57):
What do you have?
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Not doing as good as you? A parent? I am
going to go with said Oneo Cruz, who I talked
about a little bit earlier on the total basis Big
Flies for Big Oneo Cruz going against Ryan Gusto to
me too, me too.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Now, look, I know there's a lot of questions. Let's
try to get a couple ones in here, because we
actually finished on time for a change to that, even
with all the musical interludes, somehow, let's see festa or
keep cad.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Horton, Uh cad Horton.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Okay, here's one from Lucero's Meadows Kowser or Barja, how'ser Baja? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:35):
I love gold, I kind of I want gold. I'll
go Meadows Parker, Meadows. Did you see the thing that
Mike Myers is like a CIA informant?
Speaker 1 (35:47):
What?
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Yeah, there's something according to the Diddy Files. Yeah, I
just saw this in the Diddy Files. Whatever, Mike Myers
was confirmed as like a CIA informant or something. We
found out Austin Powers was a real life.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
Agent witness and did he trial reveals Mike Myer's CIA request.
Oh so, I don't know so, but like he was, Oh.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Yeah, the CIA tour for the Canadian Oh is that it?
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Yeah, like he asked that, he requested, just wanted.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
To tour the offices. Why is this news out there?
I thought it was like an informant.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
Well, because he's Austin Powers, you know, yeah, baby, you
know what. I actually just over the weekend watched the
first one again, which I hadn't seen in a while.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Why did he disappear? He just like he's done one thing.
I think he just did and made glorious bastards. But
he did glorious Bastards in the last like ten years.
And that's like the SNL.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
All year he's been popping up there. He's been hanging
out in New York doing stuff. You got to realize
he's in his like sixties now, like he's retired. He's
got I think probably grandkids at this point. He's like
made up. He's doing even more money than you could
possibly imagine, between Shrek and UH and Austin Powers.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Oh but look at Adam Adam Sandler, he just keeps
churning out movies. He's got all the money in the world.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Yeah, and wouldn't we beg him to stop? Have you
seen some of the Netflix movies he turned on.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
I love serious I love the serious ide.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
I'm not talking about the serious ones. I'm talking about
the half ass comedy ones, which are pretty awful. Now,
the Happy Gilmore sequel I'm curious about. I heard a
fun story about the Shrek one, which is that they
actually Mike Myers. I guess you know. They took like
minimum to do it because it was like the first
one that DreamWorks was doing an animated movie whatever, like
three hundred fifty thousand dollars something they paid him and
(37:27):
the movie made five hundred million. So the next one
they all negotiated contracts together that they all got ten million,
and they did about eighteen hours of work for ten
million dollars.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Did you know that the first Shrek was completely done
by Chris Farley? Chris Farley actually the voice.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Yeah, I've seen those clips, which is really interesting, very
different take on the character. I wonder what that would
have been, like, how different of a movie that would
have been, just the different sense would.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Have been probably different. But I'm just like, why did
you just I get you have family. He just disappeared
or did too, going to didn't.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Maybe that's what it is. Maybe that's what well. We're
going to disappear now, but we will return on our
