drop your comments below, ring the bell to the ghost
ding and subscribe to Fantasy Pros MLB channel because when
you do, you could win yourself as Cecil Fielder, Big
Daddy himself. Autograph Jersey Old school t grays. That's right.
Came back from Japan, had a little stint over there,

(00:47):
hit about fifty one home runs that first year back.
Was pretty spectacular. It was a story that captivated a
nation in the early nineties. I want to believe nineteen
ninety or ninety one, I believe that happened if my
old brain suits me. But again, drop your comments, subscribe
to the channel. Drop your comments below, Welsh. I have
a prerogative topic for the beginning of the show. Are

(01:08):
you ready to be provocatized?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Vocatize?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah, yeah, because I've seen a lot of stuff flying
around on the interwebs about Spencer Strider and people saying
things like, well, he was never a pitcher to begin with.
He was just a guy who threw hard. And I
see people saying, you know, he's got the brace surgery,
not the Tommy John surgery. So maybe that's the reason

(01:33):
we're struggling here. Two starts ago against the Phillies, you
only went four and changed, but he did have seven strikeouts.
Looked pretty sharp the last outing we talked about it yesterday,
right got hit around the ballpark, gave up some home runs.
I got a trade offer of a twenty dollars Spencer
Streider basically for my one dollar Shane McClanahan and my

(01:56):
two dollars Sandy al Contra in a keeper league. What
do you think about that? What side of that trade
do you want to be on? My friend?

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Ooh, I mean healthy Shane McClanahan. I want Shane McClanahan
at that price over him. I don't know if Sandy
does too much for me. So with the stuff we
talked about with Strider, here's my long long term versus
short term is the thing I have not come to
terms with because as we talked about stuff numbers look lower.

(02:26):
So I'll give you some of those. This is on fangraphs.
You've got fastball stuff plus over the last two years
one eighteen one oh six, slider stuff plus usually in
the one twenties, it was one oh nine. Last year
it was a little bit down, and then you know curveball.
But those are his two main pitches for an overall
one oh seven stuff plus boom and location plus. By

(02:48):
the way of one o two, these are above average
this year. Stuff plus on the fastball ninety four that's
below average, slider ninety four below average. Every pitch is
below average with a stuff plus of ninety five. So
here's what I'm getting at. Is this a short term
thing coming off of the brace? Is this something that
is relevant to this year that he's battling in velo

(03:10):
and command and stuff and then he's going to bounce
back and become the Strider that we knew before. Because
I I don't disagree it's just like some thrower. Obviously,
like a two pitch pitch. It's a little bit more
in that, but it's absolutely devastating stuff. Or is this
something that's going to carry over long term. I don't
know quite the answer to that, but what we can
tell is there is clearly something off. It does not

(03:32):
look quite as good. Don't know what side would you
be getting again, you'd be moving your Strider.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
I'm getting Strider who would be twenty five dollars next year,
and the other guys move up to like three and
you know, you know, four dollars or whatever it might
be next year. But I guess the point I'm making
is this, this feels like the window of panic for
Strider when those kind of deals are floating around from
an owner, by the way, a manager of my league
who has won multiple times in my home league. So
this is a very savvy person, a very patient person too,

(04:02):
and I've you know, I look saw Lance Prostowski did
a thing about how all his locations going. I'm also
wondering about the brace versus the Tommy John two, because
the other guys that have gotten the brace surgery are
Showy Otani, who we haven't seen do anything yet, and
the other one is gonna be Garrett Cole next year
who's getting the internal brace, I believe, So that is
going to be a fascinating when we start to I

(04:25):
think have more data on that Welsh and I know
we're taking a lot of time at this at the top,
and I think it's a really good conversation. I think
it's important one we're gonna start to see. Is this
a better alternative Tommy John because they get back quicker,
or is it a procedure where they're never the same
guy again. Lucas Giolito, another guy who got the brace,
got tobliterated again yesterday. He's looked terrible this year. So

(04:45):
I guess there's so many questions. And I know I
kind of put you on the spot at the top
of the show, but I feel like this is the
thing that everybody's looking around, and there's a huge BILO
opportunity and keeper in dynasty leagues, even in redraft leagues.
Spencer Strider at his best is one of what the
top five fantasy pitchers in baseball in terms of strikeouts
and what he can give you. But are we gonna
see that guy again? And I don't think any of

(05:06):
us know the answer to that question.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Tricky thing with this trade specifically is also Sean McClanahan,
who they said is going to start throwing around July August.
You've been kind of dicey about that. But Sea McClanahan
is like a top ten pitcher when healthy, if not
higher when.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
But he's also had multiple Tommy John's now too, as
as Strider corrective memory serves, he's out yes, Tommy John
earlier in his life. I believe I could be wrong either.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
That one don't check that. I guess if I'm super
out of it, or well, I guess it's kind of
an in it. I don't know. I wish I had
a really good answer for you. I tend to think
if I.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Were super twenty nineteen in Clemson, I was right at.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
It, like getting a two dollars Sea McClanahan and a
really low Sandy al Contra that you could buy a
couple of years for them to both get right, Like
that trade can swing heavily onto the two players. Strider
is cheap enough. I do kind of feel like I
would lean on Strider here because I feel like maybe
he can he can get this going.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, Like I just wonder does McClanahan ever get going again,
and Sandy, we've had a long stretch here. He's looked
worse than Strider as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, guy
have bigger concerns than him. I'm curious in the chat
drop your comments below if you're on the YouTube channel,
if you're hearing the twitch, what do you think of Strider?
Do you think he's gonna bounce back? Do you think
this is just him? You know, can try to find
it again. And look, he did have a leg injury too.

(06:24):
He is a very strong lower half pitcher. A lot
of his power comes from that. So this could also mean,
like you know, maybe that hamstring is also not one
hundred percent. Maybe it's less of an harm thing in
the velocity that's usually sitting at ninety eight plus is
sitting at ninety five plus. But if you can't get
people out with ninety five plus in the big leagues, Welsh,
that's a bigger problem.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
I find that hard primarily a two pitch pitcher, and
that and big, big adjustments would be something you would
do into a new year. He's slider fastball. It's tough
to get away with that. When one of those pitches
doesn't work. That's the old It's not the same thing,
of course, but that's the old Patrick Corbyn thing. It
was just like he couldn't you know, you didn't have
the fastball going and people just sitting on one pitch

(07:04):
like that's what makes it so difficult. So I don't know,
that's It's a really tough question. So good one.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Corbyn, once upon a time was pretty good too. I
remember I was hum old enough to remember when Patrick
Corman was good before he got hit by the spider.
All right, let's talk about the Mets. Why because they
beat the Dodgers again, and I'm happy about it. Griffin
Canning six girl is inting seven strikeouts. Let's go Rvin Canning.
P Alonzo two homers.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Was up on Canning across.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
The Mets are a pitching factory. I don't you love it?
You love I don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
This was a matter of like, you know, he was
playing up for the Dodgers or what it was. But
fastball velo. You know that that bad boy was sitting
around ninety five. The stuff looked really great. His slider
had a forty one percent with rate. He was throwing strikes.
Griffin Canning, we had that question, and I felt a
little about it, but I did say Gryffin Canning was

(07:50):
my choice out of those streamers yesterday and he has
just been putting it to get in. So a very
very impressive matchup and a.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Big win too for the Mets because when you take
the series from the Dodgers in the regular season, if
there's tie breakers there when we get to national leagues
and playoff time, just saying, just saying, folks, that was important.
Chris Sale three hits, one run, four walks, struck out
ten over six innings, but lost to the Diamondbacks. Boo,
Pablo Lopez. That's the other big story today talk about.

(08:20):
So let's get to that. Diagnosed with a grade two
terras major straight in his right shoulder eight to twelve weeks.
So that's one two. That's a long time. It's a
very long time. David Festa likely to be called up.
He's had a one three eight e R in his
last three starts, so Welsh for those people who have
fest on the waiver wire, how aggressive would you be?

Speaker 2 (08:40):
That's a well, how aggressive would I be? I would
be like decently because he's going to be out there.
I think he bored by the way he was already
called out. I believe so not even speculative he's coming up.
Him and ZEBI are going to be there.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I guess, like, well, I put the show together like
sixe No, it's all good. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
So like with those type of pitchers, I think they borderline.
It depends on your league. Borderlines like stream to hold,
and I think with him probably getting like, you know,
three months now to be out there, I think I
would want to kind of hold, so I would be
more aggressive. Let's call it like even fifteen I think
it's tough to spend really high fab on like a picture,

(09:19):
but maybe like fifteen percent. Like a good question would
be like Bubba versus him. Bubba's never coming up. He's
just gonna live in the minors. He's this year's junior
cam and Aro. That's officially happened. Remember Cam and Arrow
coming up this week? Coming up this week, never came
didn't come up to like August. That's like Bubba Chandler
at this point, he's just never coming up. Would you
rather have David Fester Chandler? I'd probably still say Chandler

(09:43):
long term, but I think they're super close and if
you wanted to make that move off of you can
because FESTA provides strikeout potential run support, stuff like that.
So yeah, I think I would be decently aggressive. Had
to work through that.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
All right, let's get to the next thing on our
list here, and hopefully Pablo Lopez, we do see by
the end of the season. Whether or not the twins
will be relevant by then, that's another question. Meryl Kelly
one walk, one just just one walk, I unbelieveable. Eight strikeouts,
seven shownout innings for him over the Bravos. Brandon Lao
three for four with a home run, a double, so

(10:15):
I'm sure people will want to be calling the Rays
about him. Shane Bos five hits, three runs, one walk,
five strikeouts. He was doing pretty well. Then things kind
of fell apart in the fifth inning. And to me,
this is all about how we train our pitchers, right,
We're trading them to be five inning guys, so of
course by the time they get to the fifth inning,
it's like trading for a race. Right. If you don't
train for you know the fact that you got to

(10:37):
run a certain length, you're gonna start to get tired.
And that seems to be what happens to bos in
some of these starts, But in terms of your confidence,
next week has got two starts Red Sox and Mets.
Would you start Shane Boss?

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Don't like that matchup, don't don't like it at all.
I would probably, I would wonder what the matchups are
for Meryl Kelly. I feel better about Meryl right now
than I do. I think Shane Boss. Shane Boz is
still rocking almost five ERA, big big barrel numbers against
right now. Can't go deep into games, and that's the
opposite of Meryl Kelly, who does go deep into games.

(11:11):
He's got a three and a half ERA. Strikeouts are high,
walks are low. He's carrying this team Diamondbacks, trying to
put together some wins. I think you're better set with MARYL.
Kelly right now than you are Shane Boss.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
We still don't have a bredon Woodrope update too. I
just realized I saw somebody posted it in the chat,
and I'm thinking I.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Haven't seen anything change out his blood and whatever they
gotta do.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
First, God Jackson Churio three for five is tenth home run,
so he's certainly heated up. We talked about him as
a by low about a month ago, so hopefully you
bought Mackenzie Gore three singles in seven seven innings, struck
out seven. He has been a strikeout machine to this year,
and the Cubs got shut out by the Nats. Clark

(11:56):
Schmidt with a good start seven hits, three runs, one walk,
eight strikeouts and five and two thirds against the Guardians
and a little bit of baseball news like baseball, baseball,
not fantasy. Rob Manfreend said yesterday that they are going
to propose to the Competition Committee to implement the ABS system,
the Automated Challenge of Balls and strikes Welsh, I'm for this.

(12:17):
Where do you stand?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
I'm one hundred percent for that. I don't know why
we didn't do it this.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Year in the minor leagues already what they did right.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Working on this multiple years in the Arizona Fall League,
they we saw it in play, we saw the system
work great this year. It's like bop, tap your hat,
go to the screen. It happens in minutes. I'm really
not sure what else. And they're like, well, you know,
we're gonna propose it based on feedback. It's like, no,
if you got if they're so comfortable adding in bigger bases,

(12:45):
and we're banning shifts and doing all this. You've done
this for years. Put this in. It instantly makes the
game better. There, I don't I'm forgetting what the UMP was,
and I think it was last night. There's one of
those Mani Twitter accounts and it's like the the UMP
audit or whatever like that. There was a call on
Mangum Jack Mangum and it was like the worst call

(13:08):
in the history of this account going through.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Well, humans make you know, put the screen up there.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Put the screen up there, because it's easy, it's worked.
They've done it for years. I don't know why they
didn't do it this year. I don't know what they're
talking about waiting for a couple of years. You know,
you can also like adjust a tiny bit on the flat.
The only thing I could imagine that they're trying to
figure out is the sensitivity of like because there's this
thing where it's like the ball just like touches the
on in the tiniest bit, then it's instantly a call.

(13:36):
Maybe there's an adjustment there. I don't know why it
takes two years. What are they a Marvel movie like what?
It doesn't take that long just put it in the system.
It makes it.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
I don't think it takes that long to make a
Marble movie. Nowadays everything is green's green anyway. I feel
like they make it pretty fast. But I'm with you,
I'm for it. You know, you saw it a little
bit in spring training this year. You've seen in the
minor leagues. Let's do it, rookie look at times. Ebbie
Matthews five innings, one run, baseball, strikeouts, got to win
against the Athletics, who were terrible. Mick Abel was indeed
able against the Blue Jays. We were a little concerned

(14:06):
about that matchup, but he was very good. Five and
a third yesterday, one run Welsh. Anything to add on
mick Abel's start against the Blue Jays, Are you impressed?

Speaker 2 (14:15):
I'm thoroughly impressed. He did not have the whiffs, He
only had five total whiffs in that he didn't have
the strikeouts, and their velo was also down I think
based off of his last start, so he was really
pumping up. But he still got really good results. We'll
have to see. I don't want to, you know, keep
kicking the can down the road for him, but like
this was a I didn't have he had a nineteen

(14:37):
percent called striking with percentage CSW percentage. He had none
of that stuff, but he still induced just like bad
contact and got it done. That's goods or two good starts.
He's going a little bit deeper into games. Mick Abel
is totally someone that we can put some trust into.
I just don't know exactly what type of fantasy pitcher
he's going to be got because it was high strikeouts,

(14:58):
super low strikeouts, but he is very, very efficient right now,
and I think that is making him a super intriguing option.
They just got so many guys. Andrew Painter's still going
to be coming.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
So that's why I got lit up yesterday at Triple A.
I don't know if he saw a Painter start. He
got beat around the ballpark a little bit, so humanizing
of Andrew Painter. Kyle tier excuse me, Kyle Tieal might
not be human three for five with a double RBI,
one run scored yesterday and Triple A. Kumar Rocker allowed
six hits, five runs and two walks and five strikeouts
against the Rays. So a little bit of everything you're

(15:29):
good and agin we now just saying, I mean, if
the if the bullpen fits like. Look, it solves two
problems at once Welsh, which is he doesn't have a
lot of innings, he's struggling as a starting pitcher, and
you need a closer. Actually three problems at once, so
I'm even more efficient than I realized. Augustinmirez zero for
four with a strikeout and the loss of the Rockies yesterday.

(15:52):
The ops has fallen dramatically all the way to seven
sixty one. He's three for his last twenty four. Are
you panicking about Augustin mirror is?

Speaker 2 (16:00):
I don't know if I'm panicking, but he's definitely coming
back down to earth. I never thought he was a
high batting average guy, though, and I think I said
that a decent amount on here. Never thought he was
like a two seventy guy. He's hitting two forty, I
will say, though his expected batting average is two seventy two.
The low strikeouts are the thing that give me like
a little bit of a better feel for him. Because

(16:20):
the hitting profile, while it's not like in this elite
territory anymore, eight percent barrel, forty six percent hard hit
rate that looks solid expected numbers like him. He hits
the ball hard, but he's not striking out fifteen percent
of the time. That is just not something that I expected.
So while I do think, yes, there are some worries
with him, you know, having like this slow tick down,

(16:41):
he has made eighty eight percent contact zone contact percentage.
That's probably one of the highest of catchers. I'm not
looking at a leader board or anything, but I think
if anybody is like moving off of him and dropping him,
I would be comfortable picking him up. But you just
have to have like tempered expectations. He's catcher between nine
and twelve. He's like a back starter.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, that's fair, which is kind of where we said
he would be when he came up, Like maybe he'll
crack that top ten, but he'll float right around there.
Just a hunch quote of the day here finally cut
Michael Harris. I'm free. Good for you, Hunch, because that
brings us right to fun facts. Michael Harris. Yesterday oh
for four, two more strikeouts, Krishia Walker oh for four

(17:22):
with three strikeouts, and Adolas Garcia got back into the lineup.
So well, I'm gonna give you a choice.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
But what's fun? What are the fun facts about these?

Speaker 1 (17:30):
This is where the fun comes in. I'm gonna give
you a choice with all these facts. Garcia was sitting
for the last but three days. Michael Harris, Christian Walker, Adulas, Garcia,
you can have one rest of season, just one. Who
is the lucky guy?

Speaker 2 (17:46):
I need to look at Adolis real quick. Seven homers,
five stolen bases.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Chat get in there, Adulas or Michael Harris or Krisha Walker?
Who is your guy? Jerry just dropped Christian Walker to me.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
I've been kind of advocating, like, if you want to
move on from Christian Walker, I think I don't think
you're gonna like it. I think I'm gonna go with
Michael Harris. I'm gonna say Michael Harris.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Is I don't disagree with that. I think that's fine.
He's not good, but you can ye.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Whoever you probably not good, and Christian Walker has not
been good. There's more power potential with those other guys.
But I think there's more batting average and stolen base
potential with Michael Harris. He could also potentially move up
the lineup a bit. Both of those guys are fine,
but I mean, like we're so funny, Dolly said, three
years of this production, I remember, like me and spore
and all that stuff. We would like continuously every year

(18:40):
he would adults would perform and we'd be like, he's
not gonna continue. It's not gonna continue. And then finally
it was like the third year, you know, you're like, okay,
he just is this and then he started to taper
down as soon as everybody just kind of finally ate
all of the expected numbers and with rates and stuff
like that. So I'm just not a big Adolese guy.
I was a huge Christian Walker guy, but I think
Michael Harris is the play here.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Well yeah, Welsh, you know, looking at these guys too,
it just reminds me of when your performance is not
quite what it could be, you know, and especially for
fantasy managers right now, fatigue is lingering. They haven't recovered
all season. And if your performance, like Michael Harris or
Christian Walker or a Dole Scarcia's performance is not quite

(19:24):
up to standard, could be the sign of low testosterum,
a condition affecting about thirty percent of adult men in America.
And Kaisa Treks an FDA approved testosterone replacement therapy designed
for men like you. It's not an ejection, no, it's
not a gel. It's a twice daily pill that fits
seamlessly into your active lifestyle. So you're for you're phishing,
you're setting lineups on my playbook. You can take the

(19:46):
Kaisa tracks. Boom, you take the Kaisa tracks right in
the middle of a draft if that's what you're doing.
Seamlessly into your lifestyle and restore your testosterone to optimal levels.
Now you can know your t score and get tested
by using kaisatrekx dot slash testing kit. They're available right now,
the testing kits. That's kisatrex dot com slash testing Kit,
Kyza t r ex by prescription only. Kisa Trex is

(20:09):
a controlled substance that can be a target of abuse.
Don't abuse the Kaisa tracts please. We always say that.
Welsh always says it. He says don't abuse the Kisa tracts.
Safety and nec efficacy in those younger than eighteen is
not known. Kaisa Trax is not for use with pregnant
women obviously because it's for testosterone or men with prostate
or breast cancer. Tell your doctor about all the medical
conditions and medications you might be on. Serious side effects

(20:32):
could include could include increased blood pressure, worsening prostate symptoms,
increase risk of planostate cancer, blood clots in the legs
of lungs, decreased firm count, liver problems in large or
painful breasts, and breathing problems while you sleep. Common side
effects include swelling of the ankle's body, your feet, increase,
red blood cell count, and increase PSA prostate specific antigen levels.

(20:52):
PSA is a test used to detect prostate cancer. Report
these symptoms immediately to your doctor and call your doctor
to learn more about Kisa Tres for questions or from
visit kistrex dot com, slash uh actually just kireks dot
com or call one eight three three nine four nine
five zero four zero. All right, we're done paying the bills.
Let's get this more baseball, and let's talk about the

(21:14):
three up and three down. Gavin Sheets drove in four
more runs, Riley Green three for five with a double,
and Chase my draft baby three for four with an
RBI caught stealing. Now that's a bummer. Did we have
the down.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Way where it was Sheets, Green and two other players?
Didn't somebody have that decision?

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Yes, we picked Green, We did pick Green.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
We didn't. We picked picked somebody else.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
So all right, Green was good three for five of
the double two ribies. I'll take that. How about these
downs Lucas Giolito seven runs and inning a third ugh
in that same game, Jose Serriano seven runs and three
and two thirds. And Kyle Harrison, you let me down, Welsh.
I'm disappointed. Five runs, nine hits, and then he got
hit on the way out too. He took a line drive.

(21:54):
So Kyle Harrison's gonna get replaced, and you can drop
him now. Although I think his next start against getting hits. Yeah,
you're right, I don't. Because nobody can feel their position anymore.
Maybe the art of pitching was about location. They hit
the ball, you feel it. You're like, watch Greg Maddocks.
You know what any kid wants to learn to pitch?
Go watch Greg Maddocks. Didn't have the greatest velocity, had

(22:17):
the greatest control. He worked on the control. It's something
you can actually work on and get better at. He
understood where the outs were, He studied the weaknesses of hitters.
He found out what they were, and he constantly remembered
and would take notes and do all this stuff. He
worked at it and that's why he's one of the
greatest pitchers ever, not to mention a hell of a defender.
If you're call Greg Maddox.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
On the mount, he wanted multiple goal Greg Maddocks right now,
in this version of baseball in the game would be
as elite as he was.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
I think you'd be the most elite. And I'll tell
you why, because of all this launch angle nonsense. Because
these guys are just looking to swing for the fences,
and he is going to change speeds on you, change
locations on you. He might actually say the career high
in strikeouts. Because of the way baseball is right now. Now,
I'm not saying there's not a lot of talent baseball.
There is, but there was a lot of talent baseball

(23:07):
when he was facing Barry Bonds and he was fight
facing the Sami Socis of the world and all the
other guys around that time. So I don't want to
hear about like how everybody's so much better now necessarily,
but I will tell you this. The control, the acumen
for pitching, I think he would dominate, and the fact
that he would take the ball over fifth day, which
is something that hardly anybody does either.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
I feel like I'm in for parts of this. I
feel like the strikeout numbers could be higher because you've
got guys that are swinging more. I'm just not sure
because what I was getting out was like, would he
be that same great success level? You also have so
many more guys. You sounded old fuddy Deddy by the way,
You're like launch angle nonsense, Like.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
You've got guys, I got your launch Anger ray here pal.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
But more analytics in it that you're gonna have guys
as far as attack angle bat speed, they're gonna be.
They're gonna be so much more aggressive and attacking. It's
lower V lows which guy they are going to catch
up too. I'm not saying you so wouldn't be great,
but you just wonder with like think you would dominate
the game? I actually think he would go in the
other direction a little bit, But I do think the
strikeouts could be higher.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
I think the strikeouts will be higher. I think he
would dominate. I think these guys don't have the work
ethic or the approach necessarily that the guy they called
him the mad Dog for reasons. I'm just saying, like,
who is George.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Kirby a full command guy. I mean, this year's been
a little bit bad, but lo low walks. He just
sits in the zone. He throws you strikes all day
and he's throwing ninety five.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Yeah, but again, I think it's that other level of
pitching that what matt and I don't know if you
ever watched that. I think it was MLB Network did
that Mattic special where he talked about like he would
remember what he threw to a guy the year before
to get him out and then would realize that what
that guy's looking for now and I'm gonna do something.
See that kind of a mind for the art form
of pitching is stunne. It is, by the way, don't

(24:54):
I look kind of like Robert Denier at the end
of Goodfellas when he's trying to get her to Lorraine
Bronco to go in there and get the first ye.
The only thing I would go in this it's right
around the corner.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Yeah, that's sad, very special about remembering. But there's this
really cool thing now called like iPads in video, and
they could remember instantly with a click by watching all
the bats.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
It's just really really imagine how goodye would be with
all the technology and.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Maybe maybe he would be better. Also famously like to
like pee on his teammates and stuff. He was a prankster.
He did gross things.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Thanks wow, thanks for thanks for that. Ending today segment,
Let's let's go to injury.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
I don't know if he could still do that, would
he be the same picture if he couldn't do all
his pranks and stuff on everybody?

Speaker 1 (25:35):
I don't know. Logan Gilbert two runs three innings Wednesday
in the rehab start for Triple A. Carls Correa scratch
with back tightness. Oh, Carls Carrea, Mark Viento's we got
some more information about his hamstring strain ten to fourteen days,
low grade hamstring. So that's good for him. Still bad
because I just don't know what he's gonna come back
to Sea Manya made a minor league rehabit start where

(25:56):
he's going to excuse me on Friday, So we'll keep
an eye on that. See what goes.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
For Himling isn't that close. I have no idea we
know now.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
I mean it's not far, but it's it's certainly not
Brooklyn on a Saturday is not really where I'm going. Pluss,
we have football it's about well, without traffic, an hour
and fifteen with traffic could be three days. No, it's
it's an hour and a half ish. But we have
football tournament Saturday and Sunday this weekend, so I'm.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Not going Friday. You don't, you know, to support your friends.
I just it's disappointing, but.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
My friends, I just don't want to drive to Brooklyn. Yeah, well,
jazz around the corner. But again, I'm not a Yankee fan.
So the time that I went to remember I was
gonna see Garret Cole last year when he made his rehabs.
What I told you, they hiked up the tickets usually
like twenty bucks. They were like eighty bucks. And I
was like, screw you. That's that's BS. I'm not doing that.
You're not taking my money from me. Yankees, you got

(26:46):
enough of it. Jorge Solaire came out yesterday with a
growing tightness and no one, uh no one, no one.
Aaronola Arondola has been shut down due to right side soreness.
So does that mean more Mike able potentially? Here we're
gonna say there.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Is the possibility for sure. I mean, like Abel looks
like he might be the guy while Nola is out.
If Nola misses extended time, what it could end up
being is like able and Painter kind of become one pitcher,
you know, to some degree where it's like they send
Abele down, they bring you know, they could do something
like that. But listen, Abel said two fantastic starts. He's

(27:23):
gonna get more opportunity here. This is bad news about Nola.
I think we had a lot of questions in the
live stream yesterday, which, by the way, go back and watch.
We answered a ton of questions right on the YouTube
channel YouTube dot com Slash Fantasy Pros MLB Live every
Wednesday a four pm Eastern, and someone was asking us
like Nola and like three other guys, and we were
both kind of huffy about like maybe it's Nola right now.

(27:45):
But this is the type of stuff you hate to see.
I mean, even though it's just soreness, but any temporary
shutdowns or you know, stoppages or whatever, it's bad news.
And by the way, we are still waiting on potential
bad news should be coming down today. Theoretically on Corbyn Burns,
this is supposed to be Thursday. They said maybe Friday.
Just throwing this out in the bad news market that

(28:06):
we are waiting on the Corbyn Burns second opinion results, which.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Will likely be horrible, yes, and which make the diamond
back sellers. I would imagine game over, says Red Sox.
With the Mickey Mouse walk off home run, it was
that's the pesky pole. A ball probably would have been
what twenty year olds deep in Yankee Stadium though, right it.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Was like three zero nine ers, just some ridiculous one
one Joe Knight absolutely in our home run contests, like
we wow.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
One hundred percent, we cleared that with ease. Look we
had some balls, man, there's no doubt about that. We also, uh,
besides hitting baseballs and you know, talking for a living,
we also like to do the best bets of the day.
And look at that boom back to normal. Stream Yard
was being a wank last couple of days, and now
now we're back on. So let's go San Francisco on

(28:54):
the run line minus one eighteen. It's a good pitching matchup,
and I'm gonna take Robbie Ray, who has been really
good for them Giant S. He's at home. Let's go there.
Minus one eighteen is not too bad of the juice here,
give me Houston on the run line as well. Framber
Valdez is going to be too much for anybody. He's
just such a good pitcher there. So give me Framber
and this one on the run line as well. Minus
one and a half plus money plus one oh two,

(29:16):
I'll take it. And then Pete crow Armstrong to score
a run is just minus one thirty today. Normally you're
gonna see this one be a little bit more juiced.
I don't know why it's not. But more on Pete
crow Armstrong later in the show. He has been a
godsend for the Chicago Cubs this year. So san Fran
run line. Excuse me, san Fran on the money line.
That should say, that's my bad. Houston on the run line,

(29:38):
and then Pete crow Armstrong to score a run. Those
are my bets for today, Welsh, what do you have
for the people?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
All right? Detroit Chicago White Sox nurfy no run first inning,
minus one twenty five. Schanberg has actually been pretty pretty solid.
I'm kind of banking on both offenses taking down a
little bit. So we're going no run first inning on
that game. We've got James Wood one point five over
total bases. Really anytime we can get that plus money

(30:05):
on James Wood it's a really solid bet. And Aaron
Judge looking around at the different plus money's on Aaron Judge,
you can't find him unless you're betting homers. It's minus
money on total basis, way minus money on runs. But
RBI get plus money at plus one ten. Aaron Judge
gets into the action with plus money on the RBI.
So Judge would and a little bit of nerfy action

(30:26):
for me.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
I love this Ryan in the Chat's gonna call Michael
Harris for a home run today. If Michael Harris hits
a home run today, I will wear my mulletwig on
the show tomorrow if he hits a home run today. Okay,
the game already started too, It's already underway.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Oh I say I want more, Well, I'm.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Just saying I'll dig into the closet, find the mulletwig,
put it on where for the whole show tomorrow. That's
what I'm willing to do. All right, Very good? Those
are best bets of the day. Make sure you also
go to fancayboros dot com slash leading off FanDuel. You
can be a new customer bet five bucks, get two
fifteen bonus bets if you win that first five dollar

That's how you do it. There. Let's take a look
at the home run board. See where things are at today,
Wonkey Penguin at nineteen. I picked the wrong met. If
I had Alonzo, I'd be off. I'd be on the board.
Let's see I had sixteen right, so or I had fifteen?

(31:27):
So I put one away? So not great? Not great.
I think I've got fifteen, right. I always forget. I'm
always counting myself side.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
I thought you had sixteen. I think I had seventeen.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
I have sixteen, okay, So I would have been on
the board today theoretically, had I had Alonzo, wrong met
was close. It's okay. We'll get there. Of course, join
our discord Fantacypros dot com slash chat. That's where we are.
Welsh's at seventeen. I'm at sixteen. We're giving away the
Samwi soci jersey from Pristine Auction dot Com. I'm gonna
stick with my boy PCA Pete Crow Armstrong plus three

(31:59):
p fifty today to hit a home run to go yad.
I think it's Irvin on the mound. I believe for
the Nats today. Where are you going? Well?

Speaker 2 (32:07):
She I'm gonna go with the Joe piece of PS
special Aaron Judge.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Oh no, I can't believe you go with our judge
or same loser.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
It's fun. Right, You're allowed to do it. You're allowed
to do every day if you want every day.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
If you wanted to every day, you could do it.
I encourage somebody to do it every single day. Also,
you know what I encourage everybody to do. If you
enjoy the show. We were talking about this yesterday in
the live stream. Like the streams, these are very little
things you can do. Like the streams, if you're listening
to the podcast every day, leave a five star review
of the podcast. Look, we are this little niche community

(32:42):
that continues to grow, and it's because of all of
you together here with us. So if you're a fan
of the show, I saw one of the best comments
I've ever seen yesterday's show or two days ago show,
which somebody said, you know, I'm starting to like this
show more than I even like baseball at this point,
and that made my heart just sing. I love hearing that.
That's fantastic. That's what I want to hear that if

(33:03):
your fantasy teams might suck, you still love baseball. You
come here, you hang out with us for a little
bit of baseball every single day and a little bit
of fun. That means the world to us. That's why
we're here doing this thing. That's why we put the
work in every single day. And there's a few ways
you can thank us, and that is by subscribing to
the YouTube channel. It's liking the streams every single day

(33:24):
when you're in there. It seems like a little stupid,
innocuous thing, but it makes a big difference. And then,
of course, if you listen to podcasts, five star reviews
wherever you listen to your podcast, So those are the
kind of things you know. If you're joining us on Twitch,
same thing, be a subscriber. There welsh anything else to
add on that point for our lovely little community here
of peanuts and cracker jacks.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
They're digital hugsgit hugs, digital kisses, all those things and
digital hugs maybe more for us, but you know what
I'm saying, Just do all the things and follow us
on the twitters and just support the show.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Yeah, support the show. They said this couldn't be done.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Tell them how much you love me.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
And we've been proving it wrong, especially the well show.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
To my Venmo, he's a very good digital kisser.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
I can I can attest to that. Excellent digital kiss.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
A very gross term.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
All right, So have a great day where you know,
there's a baseball on right now, so I'll let you
get after and watch that. That'll do it for us,
but the story of the game goes on for Welsh.
I'm Joey P. We'll see you next time. Kids.
