005: Can’t Relate: We watched the “Shrill” trailer but should we even watch the show? Part 1 of 2 Jay and Lil’s friend recently told them about a new show called “Shrill” on Hulu and how this show is so amazing because of how it represents big girls. Sounds interesting right? Shrill is an American Show that premiered on Hulu in April 2019. It follows a plus sized woman who is tired of the world around her treating her as if she is not good enough because of her size. After she goes to her first plus size/body positivity party, she finally starts to feel like she is just as great as everyone else. The show follows her as she tries to act on her new found self love all while juggling a career, a social life, and bad hookups. Sounds promising enough but Jay and Tigerlily’s attention span doesn’t allow for them to watch an entire show together so they watched the trailer. Would they relate to Annie?
