This week, we dove headfirst into a hilarious and refreshing take on the isekai genre with Trapped in a Dating Sim. Our main character, reincarnated into a dating sim he was forced to play, tries his hardest to live a peaceful, low-profile life… only to have fate propel him upward in social status at every turn. It’s a unique spin that’s full of laughs and unexpected twists. Haven't watched it yet? If you're looking for a fresh is...
We dive into a true classic, based on a film from the 1950s. It was genuinely entertaining, with solid storytelling and decent music. The character development was seamlessly woven into the plot, enhancing the experience by integrating backstories naturally without pulling you out of the story. This made the journey all the more enjoyable!
Next Week's Pick: "Trapped in a Dating Sim"This week we get transported to another world only before we actually get there we get lost in the weeds with random details but after a few minutes we get back on track and then finally get to our destination. And it was an interesting one at that. It takes the normal genre and give the protagonist a set of skills that they had in their previous life but even with that, it ultimately still follows the same tropes for the anime and...
This week, we explore another mesmerizing Ghibli movie! It’s a must-watch, filled with the magical elements we've come to love from Ghibli. However, it does carry a heavier tone in some spots. And if Spirited Away wasn’t your cup of tea, this one might not be either, as it shares a similar vibe—but if you like it then you may just like this one was well and it is also perfect for introducing anime newcomers to this fascinating genr...
This week's episode comes from a recommendation by Goose in our Discord community. "Love Tyrant" (Renai Bōkun) was an interesting choice, to say the least. This anime pokes fun at other anime tropes, and while it follows the standard harem style, it’s packed with comedy, making it an easy and enjoyable watch. If you’re looking for something light and funny without a deep storyline, this is a perfect pick for a quick break from your...
In this episode, we dive into the chaotic world of "Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero." With its wild plot and unconventional power scaling, this anime takes the isekai genre in a fresh dir...

Season 2 picks up the story, shining the spotlight on Yor with some impressive character growth. While the plot takes a slight detour from the main narrative, it doesn't stray completely. Instead, it uses this chance to cast the characters in a different light, making them even more relatable and deepening our connection with them.
Next Up: "Spy X Family Movie : Code White"Angel's anime recommendation this week is Spy X Family Season 1, known for its strong world-building and character development. The series skillfully blends backstory and ongoing events, creating an enjoyable balance. If you haven't seen it, this is a must-watch!

Exclusive DealsThis week's cinematic journey took us back in time with the film Inu-Oh, a gem suggested by CJ from Anime Anonymous. Both of us found it to be a fantastic watch. The movie offered a fresh perspective on historical storytelling, blending unique theatrical elements with an unexpected rock and roll twist, making it fun in its own way. Though the plot left a little to be desired, the overall experience was thoroughly enjoyable...
This week we wrap up our journey with Tokyo Revengers and it ends with a bang! After 2 seasons, everything comes down to this one moment. There are things that happen in this season that finally get wrapped up while also leaving it open just enough for a new season. With everything that was finally wrapped up in this season, you do get a sense of completion while at the same time you know more is yet to come.
Next Week's...We continue our journey through time with Tokyo Revengers Season 2. Even though there were fewer episodes, the character growth and the story were a vast improvement over season 1, with the MC pulling others into the fold for what his p...
This week we talk about Tokyo Revengers season 1 and the story had some solid points to it, but it also had some draw backs, but it also had an interesting viewpoint on time travel as well as what is affected by it and in what way. In a way it is like it is a combination of a couple of different ideas that have already been explored.
The selection for next week is "Tokyo Revengers Season 2". Have you had the chance to w...
This week was a solid choice, and it was one that certainly took you out of the norm for healing magic and gives it a fresh new look in a positive way. While the main character is not meant to be the hero of the story Usato is certainly the hero for a majority of people. The story as a whole is solid with great character development and comedic dialog to help break those serious scenes up. This one is well worth the watch, and we ...
We take a moment this week with a change of pace and watch something a little more mellow. It was an enjoyable one that Rick had no issues with watching in public. Overall the story main characters were well rounded and written in a way that made them enjoyable. Fel was an enjoyable comedic relief that was not done in the usual way making it all the better. This one is for sure is one that is well worth a watch.

Story time this week was all about some ghosts. More specifically it was about an anime called Ghost Stories. Specifically the dub version. It is something considered to be a dark comedy where they make fun of and offend every group and demographic. This is not a show for those who get easily offended and it can be fun to watch for some. With outlandish dialog through the series this is certainly one that makes it an interesting ...
This week, we’re chatting about a show a fan suggested. At first, we weren’t sure if the story would go anywhere. There were bits that made us go ‘huh?’ and some stuff just didn’t get wrapped up. The show kept throwing these ‘gotcha’ moments at us. And they really loved showing off the ‘PLOT’ a lot, which kinda took away from the whole thing. But even with that it was still kind of a fun ride.

This week we talk about Solo Leveling an anime that both Jack and Rick were looking forward to with them being fans of the source material, they were pleased to see the justice that was done on the show. There were several points where they got lost in the details but then since that is nothing new and over all they loved the series and are excited for more seasons to hopefully come soon.
The selection for next week is "Hori...
Season 2 of "The Demon Girl Next Door" really stepped up the game compared to the first season. It's packed with more laughs, and the addition of new characters really spices things up. Plus, it ties up loose ends from season 1 by providing much-needed answers. Definitely, a must-watch in our opinion.
