Il cartone di Walt Disney in inglese, del 1933 seguì la trama della fiaba originale con i Tre Porcellini e la fame del Lupo.
Per il cartone in italiano fu incisa la canzone con i celebri versi "Siam tre piccoli porcellin,siamo tre fratellin", interpretata, tra gli altri, da Gigliola Cinquetti e in seguito dal Piccolo Coro dell’Antoniano per accompagnare i piccoli interpreti della canzone allo Zecchino d’Oro.
Il cartone ebbe tanto successo che l’autore in breve produsse altre storie partendo dalla favola originale, tra cui I Tre Porcellini e Cappuccetto Rosso, inserendo i nomi dei tre Porcellini. Come si chiamano? I loro nomi sono: Timmy, Tommy e Jimmi.
