Idag pratas det allt oftare om svenska värderingar som minsta gemensamma nämnare för att tillhöra den svenska gemenskapen. Och allt oftare blickas det tillbaka till en tid då det påstås att vi fortfarande var ett vi och kände en samhörighet med varandra. Vilka är vi-och-dom idag och vilka var vi då?
Behöver samhällsmedborgare ha ett känslomässigt förhållande till sitt land eller räcker det med att att man är en sammanslutning med en gemensam uppgift? De politiska ideologiernas ger olika svar på vilka gemenskaper som krävs i ett fungerande samhälle.
