I denne episode af Bak Lane får jeg besøg af min tidligere holdkammerat fra Team CSC/Saxo Bank (2008-2009), André Steensen. Som junior- og U23-rytter var han et af Europas største talenter, men overgangen til de professionelles rækker blev svær, og allerede som 26-årig lagde han cyklen på hylden. Hvorfor? Det dykker vi ned i.
Men Andrés historie stopper ikke der. Efter karrieren skiftede han til trænergerningen og stod i flere år bag profiler som Michael Valgren og Mads Pedersen – faktisk var han Mads’ træner, da han blev verdensmester i 2019. Derudover har han haft rollen som sportsdirektør på Cult Energy og Stölting.
