What's up, everybody at Dan Dunk Blue Scott hit me up?
You need to We need a rebrand. You want no
because it's a strip club. That's the only thing I
can think of when I think of the word, the
name Blue Sky is a strip club, and we need
to rebrand this thing.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Where's Where's Blue Skot strip club?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
It's in his mind.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
It is like the name like it just feels like
it's got it's got to be a gentleman's club.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
It seems too probably right for a strip club. Blue Sky,
like Blue Sky feels like daytime, and daytime doesn't make me.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
Think that's the harder shift. Daytime stripping is the harder ship.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Like it's it feels if it's a strip club. It's
a strip club in like Montana.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
The big ballers are not there.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Here's my pitch. It's called Blue Scott because the women
are so good they don't need them lights.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Do you I like that? Do you ever. Do you
ever drive by a gentleman's club. There's a few here
in Atlanta that are very.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Native to own part of town.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
But what you're doing during the day, do you ever
see the cars in the parking lot and you're just like,
my god, sirs.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
I'm assuming that staff.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
That's a nice assuming the bit it is. That's a
nice assuming the bit. Well, but that's also bad for
those families are gonna have.
Speaker 5 (02:16):
Ten a m just drive by parking lot.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Clean.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Can't be a.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Shrimp cocktail, you know what I'm saying, Mimosa on a
Saturday afternoon, there's no sec games like what am.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
I doing my day? You gotta get up on behind it.
If you have to watch Smith yelling at you the fourth.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Your life, bro does listen. I'm not gonna yuck anybody's young, Okay,
but I will say it seems something like I would
never do it. I don't like to use the N word,
but I still like I would never do I.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Say, after the New Year's we're gonna strip before out
of there.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
We haven't taken this man to get hi asade that
a small steps The.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Early warned I was in an uber pool that picked
up somebody wants a sentence from Magic City. And I
was terrifying. I was so scared the whole time. What
I felt really and uncomfortable.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Who worked in any city?
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah, okay, because I was just like about a dancer
or something.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
He's Here's what's hilarious to me. She was way more
terrified to you, probably way more. That is just like,
who is this poor white man?
Speaker 5 (03:36):
What time was it?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Literally it was like five p m.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Was coming on from work to day shift.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, man, that that was true for most of the
time I was on Martin. I bet it was a
white dude with a stuffel bag taking public transfer.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
To like, at least we know he's not gonna shoot
us on here. He got somewhere to be to shoot somebody.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I was the I was to see something that everybody, oh,
that's funny.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Before we start out, we got a nettle full house.
John glasgow Is always says good morning, Justina the top
of the morning, Jared Bryant this morning, and kidcept Kinks
this morning, what show come come come here at nine am,
I'll read.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Can we tell him to stay?
Speaker 5 (04:22):
Yeah, I mean stick around. Welcome to the Welcome to
our version of Blue Sky.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
We do need to get Blue scot We needed to
get fourth to ten on Blue Sky.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
That's on me.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
I'll set that up this week. Do y'all want the loggins?
Do you want to jump in on the fourth and ten?
Speaker 4 (04:35):
That's a that's a that's a business media conversation.
Speaker 5 (04:37):
Yeah, let's do that.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Wanted All right, I'm getting this out of the way
early so that I can I can finish up my water.
Bill Belichick gets hired by North Carolina. How are y'all
feeling about that?
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (04:50):
They're calling a chapel bill.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Now.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
He had the cutoff hoodie, the a d put on
a cut off a blazer. Everybody had a good time
with it. Nobody brought up that he has a okay, okay,
his girlfriend and he just said.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
This, y'all, y'all.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Nobody brought up that he's a creep that cheated on
his wife and left his last job because of failure.
And also Damon was like, hey, y'all stick to the
big picture stuff. So nobody bring up that he met
his girlfriend when she was twenty one and he was seventy.
So all right, y'all go ahead. And I said, if
you want to hear my this is you want to pivot.
If you want to hear my opinion about Bill, you
(05:22):
can talk. You can listen to the episode last week. Hey,
how do y'all feel about the Bill creeping on a
college campus? Just probably sneaking around?
Speaker 3 (05:31):
You lost?
Speaker 5 (05:33):
I love college football enough that I care to actually
talk about the nuances of his ability to succeed within
this this world that he is launching himself into. And
the answer to that is unequivocally no, he this is
this is going to be a car accident, and and
(05:55):
Nate's going to enjoy every bit of it.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Second, every second.
Speaker 5 (05:59):
But the reality is is he got to build a
culture that had players contractually obligated to stay there for years,
and I think that culture got built over years. He
is trying to build that culture with players who can
leave in twelve months after they have signed their NIL deals,
(06:21):
And I just fundamentally like he cannot relate to the players.
He's not dion. He doesn't have that ability to understand
where they're coming from, what they're doing. This is more
akin to homeboy that like burned out at Auburn two
years ago with his college girlfriend, And this is going
to be a catastrophe, car accident waiting to happen, you.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Want to go last. I love it for a number
of reasons.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
I think that I do agree that he maybe not
won't relate, But I think a lot of success in
football has to do relationships. And I'm not necessarily saying
his with the athletes, but like, if you're an athlete,
let's say you like a two three star, right, he said,
I'm gonna go there. Nobody's really checking for me. I'm
gonna go there and try. All I gotta do is
show up. If you can make well Walker and all
(07:10):
these other people something. If you're that dude, that's like,
give me the challenge. I'm not running from. You're in
a pipeline. Immediately, in a pipeline. If you can go
to u n C and play under him, somebody in
the NFL is gonna give you a look. Sure more
than they would if let's say you were Your Your
protas are incredible. So if you're trying next level minded,
that's a great spot for you. All you gotta do
(07:31):
is grin and Barrett do what he says for a
couple of years. You have a shot.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Even if the team is not good. He's connected.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
No, No, you had your time to run this over.
You had your time, You had your time, You had
your time, You had your time. You could have used
your time.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Who an NFL still respect everybody?
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Nobody that doesn't. That doesn't mean he's not respected. That
doesn't mean that does not mean he's not respected.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
But what I would ask is, so you, I don't
think nobody, nobody really, but nobody wanted to hire that man.
How many super Bowl rings does he have?
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Six? Yeah, we respect that.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I get when he was, when he was relevant, when
he had Brady, when he had those teams. But I'm saying,
like his team's lately, it's not even like the guys
that he is quarterbacked have gone like Sam Darnold and
gone and fit in better systems, like don't play for him.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
But I'm saying he's a defensive minded coach.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
So I just I don't know who recently you can say,
like under Bill Belichick.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
It's still relationships.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
And then he grew under Bill Belichick and went somewhere else.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Oh you don't even need recent, You're you maybe need recent.
Most people just say, dad, he got six super Bowls?
Why would I not listen to somebody who has six
super Bowls. I know you can have your feelings or
whatever you are expressed that even though we asked you
not to. That's fine. Six super Bowls is important to see.
I think you have a problem realizing, like people accept
(08:50):
in love success And I don't know what you think
people want, but people like success regardless of whether or
not you feel that it's real or not. People respect that.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
I also think there's a very what have you done
for me lately? With incoming college players? And I don't
know how many eighteen year olds see Bill Belichick as
a as a voice in current sports right as a
elevant voice.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
A couple of things.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
You go ahead, one, get it. I was in a
good move, man.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
I'm trying to stake.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
I'm trying this will be the best episode of the second.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Listen. If you're going to use make sure you use
it correctly. That's important to know nothing on your owens.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Okay my name correctly.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
We never had I don't care because you're already selling miss.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
You about to get this work done.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
This.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
I don't give up crap. What it is you can
tell Charlotte and Mike. That's one two. What I have
when we say a pre meeting sentence and everybody's like
bet and then you don't. You're now the weakest link
on the tape. Okay, you gotta drive the bus the
correct way. The reason why I said don't bring it
up is because for the fans sake, not for my ego,
(10:08):
not for Dan David or your silly mindset. For the
fans sake. They've heard you cry about Brady and Belichick
for twenty two years. Let's move on and give him
something fresh on this fresh new topic. So be very
clear when you bring my name upt No, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
No, I don't care.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
No, I don't care.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
You did it.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
You're drive it into a ditch.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
You fell your bomb.
Speaker 5 (10:28):
It was weak and lame.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Nobody cares.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Get out the bus, great, get out of here. So
I don't care if the man is banging a nineteen
year old transgender Asian.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
I don't give a hope.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
So it has nothing to do with that. You were
also wrong, So when you bring my name up, bring
it up correctly. Had nothing to do with the fact
with that. Yes, I have no problem with it. Legal age. Hello, next,
wake up. You ain't gotta like it. To be okay
with it? Move on, okay, you don't like it, be homish,
so shut up then with your eleven year old shoeman
(11:05):
back eight year old glass that somebody made for you,
with your Indonesian sweatshirt. Shut up with it. Your hypocritical.
You can't pick and choose. This world is great. This
world is great. I don't like them banging fifty year old,
but I'll take this five year old making my pants.
Shut your mouth, it's critical. Yeah, it's a great world.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Heg.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
It's tough. It's a great world, is it not?
Speaker 4 (11:28):
So just please don't bring my name up incorrectly on camera?
Speaker 1 (11:32):
At least, Oh you didn't know.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
I said what you said and you.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
Said it wrong? No, you said Did I say, did
I say, don't bring it up because he was that's
anything about the girlfriend?
Speaker 5 (11:42):
No?
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Thank you bo. Did I say anything about the girl friend?
Speaker 1 (11:46):
He made a requested.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
That also glorifying question of is it because of the
relationship component that were not bringing up? Did I bring
it up? No?
Speaker 2 (11:57):
No?
Speaker 5 (11:58):
And did I say that's no? You said, no, that's
not why there's on the bone.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Also, you want to run the tape back, I said,
Damon said the story.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Wants to run your teddy back, God wasted six man
is out of here. You do no, No, I don't,
because we all heard it, all three of us, like
you did their service because you were you were in
the wrong. You're in the wrong here, so you could
take the responsibility and move the bus.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
You were in the wrong.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
So what made you want to do that.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
I was driving and I said that's a road that
Damon said not to take. Yeah, and then I kept driving.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
It's exactly what you did. You did the thing where
you go with all due respect, and then you said
the thing that's very like.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Damon wants to keep the picture. So you guys heard
what I said.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
And then he said more, thank you and more and
then said more maybe tens.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
No, no, but you said more. That had everything to
do with he said, nothing to do with Damon. But
it had everything what he asked not to do.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Use If you don't use my name, use my name
correct Here here's if you're going to use my name,
use my name correctly.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I did.
Speaker 5 (12:54):
No, no, no, you did it.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
I did.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
We won't move past this episode, will we will blow.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
It all up.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
You will not use my name incorrectly? So what I said,
you stand down, running back, pull the tape, put.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
It on the you know that.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Damon said, we're going to stick to big day that
yes or no big picture?
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (13:11):
I said that.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Okay, that's all I said about you.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
That's not all You're incorrect.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
I never.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
I don't know how you argue with your wife.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
You know, with me?
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Bro, stand down, Bro.
Speaker 5 (13:23):
I want you to know. I'm not you know you
want to come to your defense.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Right now there, but it's in defending.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Don't don't jump in and you're wrong. They're not.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
They're not here helping me out.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
You're in corrects.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Fine, I'm I'm sleepy, I'm grumpy. I'm not gonna be
called a liar and let him derail something when all
I said was.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
But you did it?
Speaker 2 (13:42):
But you did it?
Speaker 3 (13:43):
You did it? You bro?
Speaker 2 (13:44):
You Is that all you said?
Speaker 5 (13:46):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Damon said, stick big picture? I made my bro you
know jabs and then I'll let y'all talk.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
That's all I did.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Comments?
Speaker 5 (13:53):
Is that all he says?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
I kind of thought before I got here.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
What was the thought?
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Here's my thought. You never realized you have to take
like testing school early in the morning, and those times
Joe would always say make sure you eat breakfast first,
so you could be your best self. I realized, I realized.
Speaker 5 (14:10):
But he liked it.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
I know he eat breakfast. I know he eat breakfast.
You like a real life.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
Sniggers commercials and had water in two years. I don't care.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
No, I'm not excusing it.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
I'm not excusing it. But I am saying, like, ha,
I get it.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
You got something, fum.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Joe, so we can move on.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
I mean everyone just like you're yelling at name.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Because he was wrong, he was wrong.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
I am okay, I am curious because David, you have.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
No I care about the content because you use my name.
You know, every human cares about their name not being sullied,
their character, not being disrespected. But you said something inaccurate
about me?
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Would you say that? And then you go, Nathaniel, So
what it so? What it is is a is a Hey,
I'm hurt when you use my name, and then I'm
gonna hurt Nathan Owen.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Let me talk to Nathan Owen.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
There we go.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
Lied is that matter for you?
Speaker 1 (15:05):
That's hey, we call you Nate. That's at least correct name. Yeah, okay, yeah,
but I can admit it.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
You have yet to admit it because I don't know
what like wasted twenty minutes of that episode.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
I wasted twenty minutes by talking for ten seconds and
then shut it up.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Bro, you can't just behind it violated.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
That's really the frustrated. You can't as a grown man,
but it is violated by men, for grown men who
care about you have said you're inaccurate, and you can't
respectfully saying I was wrong.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
That's all late, But I'm like, we can move on
because expect.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
Because you your track record is pretty good in judging
future success of college football teams. What do you think
about Bill Belichick?
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Nothing to be brother, I'm trying.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
I know I respected.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Listen, man, I'm gonna be what you're going into coming
into today's episode. I was all the way with you.
I think I'm in the middle for two reasons. I've
actually watched and listened to a good bit on this
here from both sides. I firmly think the relatability the
track record factually that his record is a losing record
(16:18):
without Tim Brady. These all facts absolutely. The other thing, though,
is the where college is. Because shout out to coach
Prime here and some others who have done as well,
where you're like, Yo, I'm not really doing heavy recruit
I'm actually heavy on the portal, right, d I talk
about this and others. So if I don't have to
be so relatable and so relational, which you know, many
(16:42):
people say they love Bill because they worked with him.
You got to know people, which is true, right, But
if I could come in make you good enough in
a weaker conference to his I think the schedule was
looking at the hardest, maybe either Syracuse or Virginia, right right,
So it's like yo, and they just got Bryce Baker,
I think as a four star quarterback out of North Carolina,
(17:03):
So it's like YO. If I could bring staff, get
players who want to play because I can help them
get some money, but they want to get to the
NFL pipeline, I think with all of that together, I
think he can be.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Good.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
I don't think somebody was like, yo, next year he'll
be like an SMU vibe. I don't see that week
year one. I really honestly don't see a year two.
But I don't think he's gonna come in and go
three and nine or whatever type of vibe.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
I think.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
So here's my He's interesting with the Porter and n Il.
Speaker 5 (17:37):
I think if you look at good coaches when they
come in and like grind to success. I'll take Kirby
Smart as an example of us. His first three years
were like bumpy if you saw what could be and
then there would be like the big l that they
took in twenty twenty against Florida. But the point I'm
(17:57):
gonna make is look at Kirby Smart's body and his ability,
like his health. When he entered as the coach of Georgia.
This man was in shape. This man was like healthy,
and where he is today being as successful and probably
the best college football coach in the nation. He doesn't
like he's had to give up sure a lot of
(18:18):
himself in order to get it there. It's like someone
that becomes president. You look at Obama and then you
look at Obama when he is the same thing. In
college football, you have to be able to give. I
just don't know that Bill Belichick has that to get.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
I wonder because some report I heard on his pion
was about him adding even more staff out to take
and that is on a wise level at seventy two
at whatever. Because listen, teachers teach coaches coach. People love
what they love clearly in my opinion, just not knowing anything,
this seems to be a human being who loves to coach, yes,
right now. The other side of that as well is
(18:54):
that you only get I think right now it's twenty
twenty five hours with the players right because there are
there's whatever right right, So there's a so much of
that as well involved. So it's gonna be interested to see.
Speaker 5 (19:06):
The only other thing that and we can move on
that I think is the fly in this ointment. Is
this the son coach and waiting thing his his son
is he is riding his dad's coat tails and has
at every stage and that happens in the real world.
But but there is no way he that his son
(19:27):
can and has the talent to be his dad or
any high level coach. And so his dad is going
in here to do this for three years.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
He's a man coach. I don't know nothing about his
son's coaching ability.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
His son has been in a defensive assistant coach under
his dad. I think he was as high as the
defensive coordinator for a season while he was still at
the Patriots. He's not a good coach and statistically his defenses.
So the point is is, though, I just don't I
(20:00):
think that if his dad is taking the job in
order to do it for a number of years, two
three years, and then his son slides into like a
head coaching and waiting situation, I just don't know that
that ever works. It didn't work at s with Sark
and tech our musshamp in Texas as like the coach
and waiting.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
And so all that to say, I'm intrigued. They have
enough money there, they got the money. They got enough money.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
And if Jordan pull up, Jordan pull up and drop
the bank, they go buy. Yes, if Jordan pulls up,
Vince pull up, like if you, if you, if you
pull the truck up, they're going to buy a team,
which is college football totally, which is college pools.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Let's be clear.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
Which is why, which is why Colorado has the ability
to become a pre eminent college football because of the money.
Money oil money at Colorado is continuing to pour in.
And so that is that is the landscape of college
football today. It is either you you've built the brand
and you've built the culture and you can sustain it. Georgia,
(21:04):
I I genuinely think that they can still plug in
three stars into their program and they can become the
lad mcconkey's, the brock Bowers of the world, and they
can stay at the top. Or you're gonna be Miami
or sorry, Florida state where you're going to buy players
find success, fall off a cliff, buy players find success,
fall off a cliff, and it's just you're gonna ride
(21:26):
that way. Yep.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Interesting.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Yeah, we're gonna get to a point where guys have
to sign two three year contracts. I mean, we're gonna
there's gonna be buyouts where it's like if coaches leave,
you can leave. There's gonna be an appeal process. Oh
yeah again.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
I think General said that it was an interview with
General Om and said something like nature like, we're gonna
start treating like a business because they no longer still
to athletes. That's real business.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
That's what's gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
You're given a seventeen year old two hundred grand that's
crazy stuff.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
I'll check the textus right, all right, that's why you're
still wrong.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Next, you had to say that you have one thing.
This goes back to before the best argument I've seen
the show because I just want to keep up the
myth and legend John Glasgow being a wild man. He
did just say in chat. He was like, oh, I
used to live with the stripper by the way, once again,
just really really.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Loved male or female.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
I'm gonna assume female. But that is just me assuming,
mainly because John Glascow doesn't seem like a guy that
would support a male stripper.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
I would love for the twist to be the strippers him.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
John, let us know and chat. I have a friend
everyone everyone on chat. So you're checking your phone looking
back at the tapes and they were making fun of you.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
That's fine. That's called research.
Speaker 5 (22:41):
Yo, most research on this show any year.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Because it was the most important finalists.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
What did it cost you? It doesn't everything you don't
even know nothing, no foresight, second topic and has no foresight.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Said let it go nights, has audacity to check the tapes,
but still hasn't watched Martin exactly.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
First off, I have watched Martin. We talked about it.
It's been in our group chat. Not everything goes like
I'm not an open book to y'all. Fourth and ten listeners.
All right, you guys don't own me. Keep going Hesan
Travis under one. Travis under won the Heisman. I don't
care anymore. Y'all have fun with it. Whatever, it was great.
(23:28):
He's a two way player, that's why he won. Uh No,
I think he's pretty good on both sides. I don't
think he's the best on either side of the ball. Oh,
but I like I I think that. I think Boise
States running back Gentry. I think he's the most exciting
player in college football this year. I think that he
was the most fun to watch. I don't know if
he necessarily wins the Heisman. I think you have to
(23:49):
give it to the two way player who was very
good on both sides, even if he's not the best
in his position on either corner.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
If he's not, who's besides yea, the Michigan guy. I
think Will Johnson is sname, but I think he's top
three corner And I'm being kind yeah here, like he's
a he's a stats You know what's interesting about corner?
I think the second toughest position, if I'm honest, absolutely it's.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
I think physically it's the number one.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
You take out the mental aspect of quarterbacks because.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
I don't I don't think there's been a single change
in football that's helped the corner. I'm not mad on
every change has made your job tougher.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
One thing about corner specifically, why I think it's a
little underrated is because Dion Reeves Reeves Sherman is when
I'm so good, they don't throw me the ball. I
can't get yes, I can't get deflection. Don't it don't
go over there. So there's a level of eye test
and and listening and watching, et cetera. Another piece of
(24:53):
the puzzle. I'll just say this big picture about it.
I thought he was the most impactful player in all
of college football. I think he was. I think he
is a top three overall talent because he is, as
you said, very good on both sides of the ball.
We can bring up the conversation in the draft if
you want to about where he plays long term later,
(25:14):
but I just want to stay in the Heisman for
a second. Personally, shout out to genty because you know
I was a running back. Love running back. I was
number twenty Bary centers forever. That is my position. Hands down,
pay running backs more money. But with that being said,
in the conference you're in at the players you played against.
The teams you played against, say that has to also matter.
(25:35):
You know what I'm saying, Because if I run up
three hundred yards on Gramlin State and Georgia Southern. You
know what I'm saying. Yes, we can agree as I mean,
Big twelve is not sec sure, But when you're comparing
these two right genty and Hunters specifically, then I think
that was the thing that wasn't talked about enough. So
shout out to Hunter. I think he's a great young
man overall. Everything that I kind of hear from him personally,
(25:59):
I'm a fan of. So I thought they got it right.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
MO. Only question what that is. So then what's the
point of any player that's not Power five conference being
in there? Like? Is that argument just always gonna know?
Speaker 5 (26:09):
It's just really hard for Sorry.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Last thing I'll say is I think it's really hard
in the NFL for a non quarterback to win. It's
just the way this dealt There's other awards to try
to help, like Offensive Player of the Year type of vibes.
So that's all I say.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Because I understand that that argument's there.
Speaker 5 (26:25):
It has to be its You saw what it has
to Texas like Texas is running back. Great story, third
string running back at the four string running back at
the beginning of the year comes in like Brooks put
Cooks against Texas A and NFX. You saw like the
announcers of that game, Herbstreet just couldn't get over himself
enough just to be like this guy just runs through tackles,
(26:48):
runs through tackles. He averaged one point seven yards per
per carry against Georgia. Like if you put Gentry in
any against A against Georgia, that man's not going for
over fifth the yards. It's just not going to happen.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
I mean, we find in the playoffs will and he's.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
And he and I guarantee you I will take the
under on whatever the line is against a good front five.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
To be clear, you're saying you don't think g T
could start in SEC.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
No, No, I think he would. He would be Nate
Frasier in the in the SEC talked about as like
one of the rookie of the years, like talking about
pre Heisman for next year, Like you're talking about a
good like boring on great running young tops.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Yeah, I think even more so. It's it's he could
probably do well in SEC. His line won't like that line.
You see what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. You're
talking about that when you ever see when they do
these playoff games and they go to the center and
everybody go to coin flip and it'll be some mid
conference versus like a big, like significantly big. So it's like,
(27:56):
he might very well be a great running back, but
like if you put that.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
Line your offensive, it depends on who you're playing against,
and I think they are running. The point that I
would make is that if you took Nate Fraser and
put him at Boise State, he would have put up
the same numbers.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, I got you. I mean he put up one
hundred and fifty two yards after contact per game, which
means he was getting hit and it meant by small
people nothing but what I'm saying like, which means his
line was not blocking.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
That's what I'm saying. Trouble, Trouble.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
I think they got it right. I do think it's
just a sidebar. Was that I thought your door should
have been in over Gabriel, But that's that was just
a person.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
They weren't gonna do that.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
There was no way to number one, number one team,
number quarter.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
But there's no way.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
There's no way. Probably don't want prime there.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
You can or you can move cam eyther Way brot
these numbers.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
I was like, what's happening?
Speaker 5 (28:52):
Do you think? Do you think shredder Sanders? Do you
think his game translates to the NFL? Does he? Is
he a number one?
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (29:00):
He's going to the Raiders. I guess big on the
Raiders piece. You have to do Definitely, I think to
me when I watch him play, this is just a
comp I think his poison in the pocket is for
comp name only Burrow esque for him to build because
the offense a lot of you and watch the shot
of shaking the last two years for sure. So his
(29:20):
ability to maneuver and continue to keep his eye. He's
not a runner, He's not a runner. He's not He
will scramble for three yards like Mahomes. But being able
to see him put to get down there and throw
that ball with accuracy. Shout out to Brady coaching him
on on the low key for the last year and
a half. I definitely think in the right situation, that's
what I'm on. I'm gonna be quiet. The biggest thing
I'm on for New draft picks in the NFL is situation,
(29:43):
you go to the wrong situation.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
I was about to get probably a five year deal,
the wrong situation.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
So all right, let's let's talk about Dan's favorite team,
the Eagles.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
Uh, good dogs.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Dominique Foxworth on get.
Speaker 5 (29:59):
Up Nacobe d made a Pro Bowl.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Oh yeah, let's go.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
He thinks that Jalen Hurts is benefiting from pretty privilege. Uh.
And he said that after he saw his post game.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
Joe, then you put up Jalen Hurts, the quarterback of
the Eagles, please on the screen.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
He saw his post game fit.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Uh in the the kango hat, pretty privilege.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
With the big necklace, the puffy vests. Who said this
Manyworth Jeff Saturday compared it to was it training day?
Is that what he compared it to?
Speaker 4 (30:31):
Go t Just some pretty privilege is real for men
and women.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Yeah. Dominque fox With compared it is basically saying you're
not Josh Allen. It is kind of the quote that
came out.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
He's basically saying the fists trash.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
I think he's saying, like you're getting away with a lot.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
Look, Jalen Hurts, this is what you wanted to see
and you know the mige.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
I'll just say this, Yeah, man, he definitely getting away,
pulling out being a twenty something with cago heads. Brot,
Hey dog, you getting away, but you are not Samuel L.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Jackson. Yes, you cannot.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
You can't.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
He got them them fits.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
He not getting away.
Speaker 4 (31:12):
Yeah, that's that's not you make fixing carburetors.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
But if you look like m Moore, you can do that.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
You look like Now I'm not talking about c byes shammo.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
No, I'm talking about soul trained.
Speaker 5 (31:25):
Trained.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
You look like young, young, and the restless chamar More.
You can wear goofy canohead at twenty twenty four.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Man, unless they paying you, which I don't think they are,
that's a barcode. Yeah, that's a silly, silly move he did.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
He lick his lips like a green pants see Kelly, Okay,
So this this man, this man sitting down, This is
compensation at its at its talk to us like I
want to see jail in hrs. I think he's actually
a good quarterback, and I think he's caught the wrap
this year of like you know, not being accurate and
being so on and so forth. Sure, and he will
(32:04):
always he will never be the most accurate quarterback. He
will never be Josh Allen. Let's just like throw that
out the window. Is he a good enough quarterback to win? Heck, yes,
absolutely absolutely he is. But what I hate to see,
and I think is the fly in the ointment is
that like a quarterback that that is going to win
has nothing to prove to anyone. It doesn't register like
(32:27):
he and him sitting down like this after taking the
heat that he's taken, which I think is undeserved, sits
down at an interview with this as as if he
wants to make a statement that like I showed y'all.
It's like, well, now, man, you're just gonna you just
swung the pendulum further. The next time you have three
interceptions in a game and you don't show up with
(32:49):
this energy, it tells me something about.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
You real quick, though, is the this is what I
wanted to see. I thought they had more to do
with his relationship with aj Brown. If you remember they
were saying that there was.
Speaker 5 (32:59):
Being well and like and then on the field they
did the celebrations.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
That's what That's what I thought.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
That's what you took it as. Yeah, that's what I
took it. That's what I'm trying. You think he was
talking aj no, not a j To the people who
were like, y'all got beef, he.
Speaker 5 (33:12):
Was like, is that what you wanted to see? What
I didn't?
Speaker 1 (33:14):
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
I didn't take it as that's how I took it.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Yea, I took it.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
I took it at it as like like that this
was the these were this, this is the stat line
you wanted to see. So I don't have to catch
the hell on this? And I didn't.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
I don't. I didn't think it was that's what. Yeah,
it could be either way. Yeah, I seen the ladies
Girly's online was going crazy, Hey man for that. Man,
if you can wear a Cago hat and you ever
our little twenty twenty four and ladies were like, I
don't care that, you got pretty privilege?
Speaker 4 (33:40):
What is that in white culture? What is that Cano
hat for y'all?
Speaker 5 (33:44):
Is it.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Joe?
Speaker 5 (33:46):
Joe?
Speaker 3 (33:47):
What are you here the problem?
Speaker 4 (33:48):
Y'all were like, yo, were you still weren't in twenty
four and they're like, yeah, he pulled it off.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Like got well you know what I guess? Was the
Cago ever cool?
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Was never That's what Cao was a.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Yeah, absolutely, you just have to be a certain you
can still wear it now, but you be at least
forty five easy, at.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Least the sandals.
Speaker 5 (34:09):
He's too young for that.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Big, too young for that man. And I know you
got a good hairline, So what are you doing?
Speaker 5 (34:17):
Man? I would say like that. They're the also all
things that that I'm like, has never been cool that
I see people like the kilt. I see the white
man try to pull off the kilt, and I'm like,
people like and I like, so I can standing from Napolis,
You're no. That was that one surprised me to see
him in Atlanta.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
I mean I've seen I guess yeah, I've seen the
like weddings and stuff.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Nah, I've only seen killed on a different continent.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Yeah, maybe a bolo tie that the rancher, Yeah, I've
seen it, will be clear A big yes.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
That a big point of y'all culture. It was a
big point in my They can't go, oh you had
a ke you know that?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
No surprise, I don't think.
Speaker 5 (35:02):
I don't think it's ninety six, ninety seven. What are
you wearing? Where are you at? Where are you.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
School?
Speaker 2 (35:10):
Not think about it? Though think about it in white culture.
If I may King of Queens Cano, so was the
thing James, Yeah, yeah, that.
Speaker 5 (35:19):
Was that was Sandler. Yeah it wasn't.
Speaker 4 (35:22):
Where is anything that's true?
Speaker 1 (35:25):
An't where is this scarf behind me with I do
think it's a very if it is a white dude,
with the exception of Dan apparently, I think it's a
very Northeast like it's it's a very.
Speaker 4 (35:36):
Somebody in the West coastry.
Speaker 5 (35:37):
The rock in the heavy well, like I mean, I
grew up like the like the driver cap is like
is the is the like Scottish white version of this
like that that's a driver cap, like all those are like.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
So you already wearing that ballpark because of golf.
Speaker 5 (35:51):
Like I was gifted my I have my grandfather's driver
cap that's like has our like our like Scottish tartan
on it. At my house.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Binders look white dudes, okay, because at some point that
was cool certain dudes when they pulled it off, you're
like all right, and then other dudes you see it
and you're like, oh, you're gross checking the driver gat.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
I mean bryceon de Shamba famously made it cool when
he came on the PGA too here for a while.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Not all right, let's stay in the NFL. Because Devondre
Campbell refused to go in the game in the third quarter.
Uh for when Kyle Shanahan tried to sell them in
for Dre Greenlaw.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
With San Francisco's game, everybody in San Francisco's camp is
saying it's not a big deal.
Speaker 4 (36:35):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
Player players refuse to answer. Kittle War said, I hope
I never played with someone like that again. I'm gonna
be cut.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
I saw a man, what are you talking about? They
do not like him.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
I say, he probably cut today here.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
This is why you look at more than two or
four looked. I was like, all right, Perty's quote. Santahan
was like, Matt, he said, what's my man saying that?
The locker he said? He said it was called it
some suck yea. That's because I was ready to be like,
we get him what I think?
Speaker 5 (37:12):
You also have to think about who's saying what here
is You you have the coach who's like, there's leadership
in the locker room, they'll take care of this. You
have rock party who's like, I've been out. I'm not
about to be the one to draw some like lines
in the sand of like you got to get it
yourself out there. Now you have the like the every
down players that we just referenced here that are like,
(37:34):
you can get that suck out of here and like,
and they're the ones allowed to say it, and everyone
in the locker room is not going to look sideways
like there's certain people that can say things, and there's
certain people who can't say things, and the people that
can say it said it never been.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
On nobody who do that do on a team. I
don't want to be on my team. He's out of here,
so context here because I thought it was I thought
so boom Greenlaw is hurting in the super Bowl, chears
the Achilles. Yo, they bring Campbell in. Yo, my man,
you're holding a spot. You are a placeholder, respectfully supported
to know Greenlaw comes back. You did your role, bro
(38:13):
Greenlaws here, take a seat right. Greenlaw's tired fatigue coming back, Yo,
Campbell go in now. I'm good coach. No like their
literally Ward says in the locker room, we needed listen
to me. We all played on the of team sports,
playing for brotherhood, stepping up for your boys on a
business level, on a family level, big dog said all
(38:33):
pro cornerback who lost his child last year, said we
needed him, and he was like, nah, I'm good. Oh
you luck right there, But what are we talking about?
Speaker 1 (38:46):
On a non personal level, they could end the season
with four losses.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
That was a pivotal game too, if you bring up
the losses.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
They lost to the Rams twelve to six, which was
a playoff spot ugly game, very ugly. They played the
Dolphins in Miami and it's tough to went on the road.
They have the Lions at home on Monday.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
We got something to prove, and then they.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
Have at the Cardinals. Yeah, so their last none of
their last three games are remotely GIMMI.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Yeah, they're not playing a giant street time.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
So they could end the season.
Speaker 5 (39:14):
I was disappointed.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
All I say is I was disappointed. They only suspended
him three games. When I bounded that. When I found
that out, I was like, y'all, y'all, y'all, they doing
how we wanted.
Speaker 5 (39:24):
You to do it.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
Here's the thing, though, I will say, maybe they only
suspend them three days because they had a players only beating.
They came. It's like, all right, we're good, you.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Got you got that work.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
Headed to you because this man, if I'm gonna, if
I'm I'm put my life on the line out here,
and you just hit me with a no, my boy
got shot and it's still yeah before camp, it's too
many examples on your team or people showing up for
you to be like, I don't feel like it.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Also because I think the forty nine ers they have
a bizarre locker room right now because I don't know
if you remember last year there was a thing about
like Chris McCaffrey only invited the white players to his wedding.
Speaker 4 (40:03):
Did not know this information, So there's all many sources
that you researched for that sin that was a big
sent Is you just literally all the playoball football is
mostly black men.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
I understand that that was a big sent that you
just said McCaffrey in a bunch of alignment.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Yes, that sounds about you heard that sentence before that
he only invited the black the white players.
Speaker 5 (40:23):
I did.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
I vaguely remember hearing something like that.
Speaker 4 (40:25):
I'm not saying you're inaccurate. I just had never heard it.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
I was like, what I think because I remember Cam
Newon brought up because he was like, why did I
get it. Invite in Christian McCaffrey. Remember that was just
that was his rookie.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
So they played nothing to be cool, the players to
be cool. That's players that were invited.
Speaker 5 (40:41):
I wouldn't invite him.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
I wouldn't invite I wouldn't invite him to my holiday party.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
I wouldn't invite him.
Speaker 5 (40:47):
That that man or two concussions, the things that come
out of his mouth. Here's yeah, I was gonna I
was gonna make like a rational defense here, but I
really don't want to. I don't want to.
Speaker 4 (41:01):
Don't make it.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
Yeah, don't make a call.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
I do think it's interesting that we see like a
three game suspension only a few weeks after Daniel Jones'
career might be over for as a starter, for sure,
as a starter, but also like we'll say he was
a below average quarterback, too bad. But everything we've seen
since then said he is a good locker room guy
and a good teammates.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
Teammates for they want they were mad that like he was,
he'll start again.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
He started.
Speaker 5 (41:31):
Let me let's be clear, he had a good rookie season.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
He had a good rookie season, but he was playing
safety on the practice squad after he was told you're
not the start. He was cut. And so you go
from a guy cut who was a quarterback, a highly
drafted quarterback humbling himself enough to play safety on the
squad getting cut.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
I went from the quarterback, I gotta still playoff games,
makes more money than everybody out.
Speaker 5 (41:59):
You go put be on rare.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
You're gonna put me on practice squad safety.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Your Danny dimes out, Henny.
Speaker 5 (42:04):
How about bro So?
Speaker 1 (42:06):
To go from that guy getting cut to this guy
saying I'm not playing and getting three games, it feels
like what are what are what are we doing? And
I know that money is involved, I know legality involved.
I don't know if they could legally cut him for
just saying like I don't feel like playing right now.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
They can make miserable, right, they can make his life.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
And again there could be a if I if I
say no it's okay clause. I don't know what is
in his contract. He may just be like, look there's
some days I don't feel like it. Build that into
my contract.
Speaker 5 (42:34):
No, No, he's not getting up for that. No effects,
So that is that's absolutely I mean, who's the quarterback
earlier this year that tapped his helmet for a game Florida.
Andy Richardson tapped his homet and he caught hell.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
For that because he just said. He said, I'm tired.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
It's not a good one, but hey, he could he
could just wipe and say, hey, I'm not my best
self right now. I don't want to let the team down.
Bring somebody else in, like I'm I might make a life.
This man said, Nah, you don't get to say nah
what I.
Speaker 4 (43:05):
Don't what's interesting to me is that I haven't heard
maybe I've seen it, aline, I haven't a tweet. I
g live of him sharing his side of the store.
I was like, bro, you got the internet, you can speak.
You could have been in your locker room on the
way to the crib like nah, I fam ya YadA
and said no.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
So he just like that means he got good team
right here. They said, give me a phone, get out
of I.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Said, you could have just said, ham, he's acting up.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
Yeah, yeah, he's gonna get cut.
Speaker 2 (43:30):
Bro, you gotta learn how to lie.
Speaker 5 (43:32):
They're gonna write his contract out for the rest of
the year. Absolute money.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
Absolutely, We'll say the NFL for one more topic. One
of my favorite players in the NFL. Xavier Leget he
some of the best.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
I don't know what he'd be saying.
Speaker 1 (43:43):
I can pick up a few words.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
Hey, that's one of the strongest.
Speaker 1 (43:48):
It's one of my favorite accents. It's like he heard
Randy Moss and was like, oh, I've got it Randy Moss. Like,
but that's like southern, like very what what?
Speaker 5 (43:59):
Whoa to him? We are not about to define what
Randy Moss is or Exavier look at as southern. That
is some mountain country like coal mining, like like they're
not the same them finished like elementary school, like Appalachia
like moonshining thing pronounced it right.
Speaker 4 (44:20):
Uh, he's more of that white dude on water boil.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
Yeah, yeah, yes, I got to put that seed the
field on my fate.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Like what what are you saying?
Speaker 2 (44:36):
They didn't even have no youre talking about when he
was in Germany.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
I'm more mad about that common than the Bill Belichick comment.
Speaker 4 (44:42):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
He was asked about thanks You do that to me?
A couple of always asked about Thanksgiving and he said,
I'm gonna have raccoon. That what he said, just like that,
he was just playing why would you not eat?
Speaker 3 (44:55):
For real?
Speaker 1 (44:56):
Later and They asked him again, what what's one of
your favorite foods? He said, quote like a raccoon that
you see in the trash? Can I hunt it? I
kill it, I scan them, cook them, eat them.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
Yeah, Which.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
I've never personally had that. I I don't know anybody
that's had it. I've had a cousin that.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
They didn't tell you.
Speaker 5 (45:18):
But you you do you.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
I'm sure I have some family that have been desperate
enough to eat. I know people that have that possum.
I know people that have hunt possum.
Speaker 2 (45:27):
Dang, you said a microphone.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
You just treat I mean possum. You just trade them
up like they're they're good.
Speaker 4 (45:32):
You know, they're good with it's good.
Speaker 5 (45:35):
So like they're they're you've eaten possible.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
I haven't eaten possible because they're an active animal. Like
they're not like it.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
Raccoon.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
I don't because because I think they're they're more of
a garbage animal everything right, And that's I think it
depends on.
Speaker 5 (45:52):
Possibly debate Bill Belichick. But where we're gonna go. But
Nate's gonna come in here and add nuanced to raccoon.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
And it depends on where you hunt them.
Speaker 5 (46:04):
What is this podcast.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
If i'm if I'm hunting, like I'm not going to
shoot a possum in the city. What's the water you
take the wildest? He does, because the possum in the
city has been garbage.
Speaker 5 (46:16):
We got.
Speaker 4 (46:17):
We love your fascination.
Speaker 3 (46:18):
Gerbils was expected.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
It was not expecting that. I think I've had turtle before.
I told that story. My granddad caught a snapper turtle. Well,
I was like, it's too greasy. Next day he had
heart attack. Well he lived, but I was like, hey, man,
this is not good. It's good eating. Man a man,
I'm in school. That turtle.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
The turtle did it?
Speaker 2 (46:45):
I know it's a.
Speaker 5 (46:49):
Little surfing turf.
Speaker 4 (46:51):
I was over here here, Well, Blobber, what's the watert
thing you had?
Speaker 1 (46:54):
I mean, I don't think it's that wild, but like squirrel, rabbit, bear,
Like I've.
Speaker 4 (46:59):
Had game, you've had bear?
Speaker 2 (47:00):
Yeah, I I never bear.
Speaker 4 (47:03):
It's not so here's the thing food in general, there's
some things I'm putent on just never knowing, you know
what I'm saying, Like, I'm just like I'm not I'm
just I'm good on that.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
I'm good on that.
Speaker 5 (47:14):
Tell me about this, well, Blubber, I'm intrigued.
Speaker 4 (47:18):
So I used to have this joke. I used to say,
it tastes like air, it felt like durbbils coming out.
Speaker 5 (47:23):
Yes, but uh it was.
Speaker 4 (47:25):
It was the loosest, most curious thing I've ever had
in my life.
Speaker 5 (47:29):
Wild it was.
Speaker 4 (47:30):
It was when I said it down, Everybody's like, yeah, okay,
and I was like what, yeah, but culture is a thing.
So but I just want to say very clearly, I
never have to try certain things. Yeah, and I know
we've pushed Nate in the past for many years playing
around with things. If he said, yo, I'm not in
it bit, don't gonna get the massage bit. But one
thing I'm like, I'm good on is raccoon. Yeah, I'm good.
(47:53):
I'm never gonna go down knowing what it feels like.
The kiss on the lip I fought.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
I saw online there's this black dude who has like
this elaborate grill set up and he cooked every country.
He cook everything, and he was like, yeah, I got
raccoon rice. When I seen it, I was like, bro,
I don't know nothing about that. Look like I want
to eat that. Be like that's good eating, and I'd
be like you Probably friends would get who is I
just saw him the other day. He was something I
(48:18):
never because you played in the Germany game.
Speaker 5 (48:19):
Is this raccoon?
Speaker 1 (48:21):
Yeah? Not get that out of here.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
Look also that man, I ain't look like that season right.
Why you got a big olde trying to look good.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
Depends on I think where you get. I think even
in a city, it's different because we see all these
guys is eating all this garbage. When like, if you're
out there listen, I get I hear what they're eating.
Good eating dog and another parson.
Speaker 5 (48:40):
I hear it.
Speaker 4 (48:41):
I'm not a knocking it.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
I'm saying for my especially, I can't nothing with thumbs.
I can't with thumbs.
Speaker 5 (48:48):
I'm not going to try try anything.
Speaker 1 (48:53):
Respect you've had. I've had kangaroo.
Speaker 5 (48:57):
I would for sure eat that.
Speaker 2 (48:58):
I've had kangaroo, and I tried, for sure.
Speaker 5 (49:00):
I would if someone if I feel like someone can
prepare it like, I'll eat it. I would rather eat
this by someone who lives in the backwoods than anything
my mother may man.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
Would you rather have raccoon from Xavier or prime red
from missus mother in law?
Speaker 5 (49:19):
Oh, raccoon in a heartbeat.
Speaker 4 (49:20):
I respect these guys.
Speaker 1 (49:22):
I will now.
Speaker 5 (49:24):
And h O.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
I think I can eat anything if if it doesn't
look like what it was.
Speaker 2 (49:31):
So that's my thing.
Speaker 5 (49:32):
Like I see like this man, you know, you know,
like the fish on the platter that still has.
Speaker 2 (49:38):
He's not saying it, but this is what he's saying.
Make it a chicken nugget and he'll eat it. If
you make it a nugget, you.
Speaker 5 (49:45):
Will eat it.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
And that's not like when I see like the duck
with like the head, I'll give me that. I don't
care about none of that duck's good. No, No, I
want to see you. I want to see why why
why you can't see it?
Speaker 5 (49:55):
My one of my favorite meals is with is Hoghead
when they like bring out the whole hoghead, because then
you can get in there and eat that that hog
cheek che.
Speaker 1 (50:06):
I would take the cheek meat che away.
Speaker 5 (50:08):
From They doesn't want to see this on his plate?
Speaker 1 (50:11):
Why why already eating his belly? Look at him and
the eyes logical, look him in the eyes man and
something about that going like.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
Yeah, he's like, don't just take my belly. Look at me.
No he had no dreams, but yeah, no, I've had
kangaroo and I've had as African I've had. African is
a terrible That was one of the worst.
Speaker 4 (50:36):
Piece of um.
Speaker 5 (50:36):
It's not to be good.
Speaker 4 (50:38):
There is not jumping off of motorcycles and cliffs before
I eating it at.
Speaker 5 (50:41):
See again, would you eat that? Damn it?
Speaker 2 (50:45):
I'm a dang. If I know you know what you're doing,
and I've even something else that you've done, that's good.
Speaker 5 (50:49):
Have you ever eat a whole hog? Like whether they
like they put the whole hog on a pit? I have.
It's literally the best cooking in the world.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
I didn't like it as much as I thought I
would because I was like, how are you getting? The
season is on there, people are like, oh, this is
the best. I mean, I'm like, man, this just tastes
like meat, and people's yeah, it's cool. But no, I'm
around like, you gotta.
Speaker 5 (51:12):
Pull you gotta you gotta like you gotta butcher it,
pull it and then put season in and mix the season.
Speaker 4 (51:17):
And I got it straight from the like it was
because I heard his side of the family. Y'all are
trying roadent me.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
Yeah, I never had none.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
Let me be clear again. If it's I was in
Peru and no state of States.
Speaker 5 (51:30):
Okay, in the States, I wouldn't need what you need.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
Dribble, but like, okay, see that's important.
Speaker 5 (51:34):
Okay, I was improved, Yeah, because I had well, Okay.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
So that's different.
Speaker 5 (51:37):
Sorry.
Speaker 2 (51:37):
In the States, if I knew you, if he knew
he was a chef, I was like, and you and
I've taken there's a lot of cameer, and I tasted
and I've tasted other stuff. You know that I eat
like a brisket. I go, yeah, now, now let me
let me also be very clear. I'm not gonna say
give me a whole plate of it. I'm saying, yeah,
I take it, take a piece of fit experience. I
ate a gazelle, kangaroo.
Speaker 4 (51:58):
What you want on this continent?
Speaker 1 (52:00):
Where selling because we was in Louisville.
Speaker 2 (52:03):
We was in Louisville.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
I was with them last year.
Speaker 4 (52:07):
That's definitely not I wasn't in Africa with the drive bro.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
That decision because I was like, I wanted something from
the continent.
Speaker 5 (52:16):
Here's my room.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
I want to WoT.
Speaker 5 (52:18):
It was so tough, it has to be like, I
don't food that didn't have to get on a plane
to get there. So like I'm gonna eat seafood and
you better have a coast coast. It need to be
caught in that water.
Speaker 4 (52:32):
You have a sushi in Kansas, No, that's fair.
Speaker 5 (52:36):
I will not eat raw fish in a in a
landlocked state.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
I passed when I was in Rag a few weeks ago.
I passed the Cajun restaurant that.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
We we had to we had to alligate it. Bro
I remember that we bomb so bad. We was like,
give me a predator. I want to eat a predator.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
On the top of the food.
Speaker 4 (52:54):
Yeah, gotta be the king of King Dog.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
It's so not think it was poorly prepared. I honest,
I think it was prepared so squishy. I think ours
was poorly prepared, just like Friday.
Speaker 5 (53:08):
It sounds like it's under cooked.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
What's the weirdest thing for y'all, chefs, what's the weirdest
thing y'all would put on your smokers?
Speaker 5 (53:16):
Oh, there's nothing. I wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
I'm about to say I might.
Speaker 5 (53:18):
I mean, if I can, if I'm going to cook it.
Speaker 1 (53:22):
He's kind of one of one of my cousins brings
y'all a raccoon. Possibly, I can see.
Speaker 5 (53:27):
As long as it's like that, there's things I can butcher, like.
I know how to butcher certain meats. There are certain
meats that like I don't know where are and like
how to how to butchery, but if it's ready and
I can, like, I mean, here's the deal. If you're
going to cook something, you just gotta brighte it that.
It's like, you gotta season and let that season is
(53:48):
like soak in, get rid of the gamings, whatever the
fishing is, and get that out of there and then
properly cook. It's going to be good.
Speaker 1 (53:57):
It's got it's got a shot.
Speaker 2 (53:59):
Absolutely, yeah, this sky shine it is.
Speaker 5 (54:01):
You heard it. I told my brother all the other day,
I wish I had the confidence in the rest of
my life that I have in cooking. That's real because like,
literally there's nothing that I'm.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
Like, il Dan, I could tell you we don't have
to really cold together on.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
Road kill my cousins and that's not how that works.
Did you see it?
Speaker 2 (54:20):
My cousins listen to nothing, his cousins saying, man, hey, dog,
your cousin road credits fresh.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
She's like, you don't just pick up dead stopping.
Speaker 5 (54:28):
But we got any comments on the craziest thing people eating?
Uh dropping the comments.
Speaker 3 (54:34):
One talks about craziest thing, but I do want to
go back, uh, just because I really like John Glesco's weirdness.
It was a female stripper, okay, and he and he
for some reason pointed out that she was born female too,
which also just asked John came, I will see y'all
over cooked? You cooked little baby squids. Yeah. Yeah, it's
weird because they like they're.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
Once like with like I can if I can tell
what it freaks me.
Speaker 5 (54:59):
You want to nuggett.
Speaker 3 (55:04):
Because I feel like you have you had order on.
You don't none of what that is.
Speaker 5 (55:08):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (55:09):
So it's like order is a bird you deep fry
whole and then you eat it, bones and all, and
you put a napkin over your face because like the
juices purs burst out. But also they said, so you could.
It's such a a decade sinful thing that you're hiding
your face from God.
Speaker 5 (55:26):
It's really wherever you is it Asian?
Speaker 3 (55:29):
I haven't had it, but I know obviously it's I'm
not sure what the org.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
Let's all guess what we think it's from.
Speaker 5 (55:35):
I would guess it's Asian.
Speaker 2 (55:36):
It's like I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go Eastern European.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
I think that's good. I'm gonna go East European Australian.
Speaker 4 (55:44):
Those pilgrims were having a tough time. You're like, yo,
we got to eat everything German German.
Speaker 3 (55:51):
Yeah, yeah yeah. Justin Taylor did say, however, though, it's
really like how you cook somebody of the battle.
Speaker 2 (56:03):
Some stuff. Some stuff can't be said.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
That gazelle.
Speaker 3 (56:07):
Run all the time, that's bro.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
It was the tough.
Speaker 2 (56:11):
Un ate it and I still was staying in like
a Nike sweat because it got and it was like
and it like popped out and everybody was like, how
was it? And I was like, I'm not eating It
was a burden.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
I think Venison's over it. Yeah, I could mean, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (56:23):
We did it, Okay, we didn't do it all.
