توی زمانی که شرکت‌های خودروسازی از برنامه تولید خودروهای برقی خودشون دست میکشن، تسلا تازه شروع به کار میکنه. ایلان ماسک پاش به شرکت باز میشه و ایده‌های خودش رو به صنعت خودروسازی میاره. اولین خودرو اونا یک ماشین اسپورت لوکس گرون قیمت بود که ذهنیت همه رو نسبت به ماشین‌های برقی تغییر داد. ایلان ماسک میخواست اولین ماشین تسلا تبدیل به یک نماد توی صنعت خودروهای برقی بشه. تسلا رودستری که توی سال 2018 با موشک فالکون هوی اسپیس‌اکس، تبدیل به اولین ماشینی توی تاریخ شد که به فضا رفته.
