La decisión de Estados Unidos de salirse de la OMS y de suspender la financiación de la mayor parte de los programas de USAID tiene unas consecuencias gravísimas para millones de personas en todo el mundo. En Europa, países como Francia, Alemania, Reino Unido, Países Bajos, Suiza, Suecia y Finlandia entre otros, también están recortando los presupuestos en ayuda internacional y aumentando el gasto en defensa.
