Speaker 1 (00:26):
It's the Internet. You're busy, Let's do this. Welcome to
Game Mess, the Sides podcast. This is the podcast where
we decide everything about the world game so you never
have to think for yourself.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I'm your host Jeff Grubb, and with me is Mike Minati.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
In today's episode, Mind's Eye is a Mess. The Silent
Hill remake is real. The first one. We haven't decided
the topic, and it's too to come up with something
on the fly, or we all have to come up
with something on the fly.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I don't know what we'll be talking. They're doing a
mount rushmore of bugs.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Bugs. Really, that one feels hard to I mean, we
could try. I'm here to do anything.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I just want to try to do it.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Okay, I'll fine fine with that, but first you gotta
help me. I don't want to think got ready for
join us. But mostly I want to thank Mike Manatti
for being here. Mike, how are you doing?

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Pretty good?

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Very busy.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
I did get to go see my nephew play like
a baseball game, some kind of extra league and it
was playoffs and they won, and he got the game ball.
He had a double that scored the runs. Then he
got a great out. At first he's playing third base,
then he got a triple, he got the game ball,
and now tomorrow they are in the finals for the

(01:32):
championship game. So yes, the first, the first Minati with
an athletic bone. Perhaps ever, it's very bizarre. It's all
come from her, his mother's side. I think we're all
very surprised and intrigued by this. It's been fun.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Now that's him.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
First time I've been impressed by Minati.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
So there you go. Well, uh, no, good, good, That's
that's fantastic to hear. What what's the vibe like that?
Because I know you like talking about going to like
high school high school football game, something I've enjoyed in
the past as well. It's like there's always a good
energy there. What's it like at like a little league
baseball game?

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Oh, I mean it's it's like both more supportive and
more selfish, right, uh huh, all right, because like you know,
you don't you don't wish Ill will on the other team.
It's like even so much about my nephew's team. It's
kind of about my nephew, like I hope he does well.
What is team to win too? But it is kind
of just like you know, specifically waiting for Oh he's
up to bat now great?

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah, now now we can stop drinking, right yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Him now okay, good yod yeah right.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
No.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
But it's I mean, it's fun. It's a it's pretty
fast pated pace. They just do seven innings right or
something like that.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah, baseball in all its forms actually pretty good.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (02:45):

All right, Mike, Big topics of the week. Are you ready?

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Ready?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
All right? Here we go. Mind's Eye launch surprises gamers
by being even worse than expected. You know, Mind's Eye.
What are your feelings on the Mind's Eye? Boy, it
seems like it was having negative buzz leading up to
that launch and then the only time, the only time
we're going we'll talk about it. Was when you know,
the guy came out and was like.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Ah, people aren't talking about because we're being actively sabotaged,
which seem pathetic then and now seems ludicrous right, Like,
there's no way that they thought that this thing was
going to launch in a good shape.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
People could be pretty delusional. I suppose, Jeff, but I
didn't play it. I watched you play it. I've seen
everyone else talking. It seems like nobody is defending this game.
It seems like it's in incredibly rough shape. And even
if it wasn't, like what is it a super narrative?
Uh not open world GTA like but with more blackesthetics,

(05:11):
sci fi black. I don't know what is what is
Mind's Eye? What is burn Notice?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Uh? You know what?

Speaker 5 (05:20):
It's just not much, that's the real answer. There's just
not much to it.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
It is, you know, I think we were we were streaming,
we were just getting started.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Min Max rated us after playing it for a while.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Leo Vader was playing and the mind max account was
in our chat and was like, you know, it's barely
a game, and I think I think that's actually pretty
fair and I think the reason to say that is
even when you're doing the missions, they are the most
mundane wrote obvious. Drive here, shoot something, go back talk

(05:52):
some more. Drive there, shoot something, go back talk some more.
And the reason I think it's probably built that way
is because it will likely break if they tried to
do anything more than that, because it's it's a buggy mess.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
It really is.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
It does seem to be falling apart at the seams
in some ways. The performance is really rough, especially if
you try to do something like streaming it. At the
same time, it's like, please just give me all of
your CPU and GPU. I need that heavy game. It's
a heavy game for no good reason. And yeah, and
then there's just like, you know, the most fun we
definitely had with with it was running into your sidekick

(06:29):
five times because every time you ran into him with
your golf cart, he would explode into spaghetti, into spaghetti,
and that was really funny. Yeah. I definitely don't recommend
anyone go out and buy this thing. It's a full
price game. I think the collector's edition is eighty dollars. Yeah, Yeah,
it's crazy. It's a crazy thing. It does feel like

(06:52):
the kind of game that comes out of the hubris
of being I'm the guy that made GTA, and I
say this thing is sixty dollars.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
It's wild.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Yeah, you think we would have learned from that at
this point, Jeff right the whole I'm the guy who
made Doom, I'm the guy who made Sonic, I'm the
guy who pretended he made Mega Man, right, Like this
stuff just so rarely ever, this is.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
This is CGA's mighty number nine for sure.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
This is the mighty number nine moment for GTA, because
at least thought that these people aren't important and aren't talented,
but there's clearly so much more that goes into a game,
especially these day where it could take thousands of people
to make a game, even you know that comes out
in a mess with disk, but still just take so
many bodies and brains and hearts to make it happen.

(07:42):
Do you think this is like a disaster for Io
Interact to like, what is their investment here? Is this
guy set them back in some way?

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I mean, I'm sure, I'm sure it doesn't help, but
I don't think this is a make or break thing
for Io man. I mean, maybe it's a make or
break thing for their publishing efforts. Yeah, sure that's a possibility,
Like maybe they have to to pull back on that
entire initiative because of this. But to me, the future
of that studio, to me, does seem to hinge on
what James Bond does. So I don't think it like

(08:11):
demolishes the future of that studio as far as we
care about it. Right, this is the studio we care
about because they made Hitman, and Hitman's been in a
good place for ten years straight almost at this point,
and well what are.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
They going to follow that up with?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
And it's like, well, publishing Mind's Eye is not exactly
what anyone was looking for. It was what's the next
big game after that? And that's still going to be
James Bond. So yeah, I'm.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
Sure they would love for this to have worked better.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Than it did. But yeah, I don't know. I think
we I think we get to a point here in
about three weeks where we never think about Mind's Eye ever. Again.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
It's about what about when we get the Aged forty
seven crossover mission from Mind's Eye?

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Uh huh, okay, all right, well I'll play that. I'll
I promise I commit to playing that. Everybody yeah, after that,
maybe then it will fall off the face of the earth. Yeah,
It's it's a punching bag right now, and deservedly so,
because you know, this is a weird medium where if
you want to come out and like demand the spotlight,
people will give you the spotlight. And if you kind
of suck, people are going to be like, listen, what

(09:12):
are you doing here? Don't don't even really do this.
It feels kind of baffling at a certain point. But yeah,
I don't even get the sense that people are too
worked up about it, because I think we've seen this
dance so many times now that it doesn't feel like, oh,
we've been hoodwinked here. I think everyone kind of saw
this one coming a mile away.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
There is a little bit of concord energy here, just
in that it's like these quote unquote new ips that
sort of come out it kind of like demand. They're
kind of demanding your attention, whether you want to give
it to them or not. They're kind of just, you know,
faking it till they make it, but then they never
make it, and it's you're right. People kind of seem
to enjoy the punching bag aspect of it, and I'm

(09:53):
not gonna act like I'm not above it. I've made
plenty of concord jokes. I'm gonna make probably plenty of
mind's eye jokes. I don't know what that says about me.
Maybe it's not a good thing. Maybe it's not a
healthy thing, because you know, like I can see more
and more people even retreating further and further into establish
franchises and things like that, because it really does just
seem like you are setting yourself up for massive failure,

(10:16):
like catastrophic failure when you do something quote unquote new,
and you you know, you do what you think you
need to do. You try to market, you try to
make a book. It's gonna be a big deal and
it can backfire in a big way.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Yeah, And you know, I do get bummed out at
the the prospect of these genres that were staples, like
open world crime games back in the PS two PS
three day, where you could make one of these and
be a middle of the road publisher in terms of size,
in terms of the scale of your own business, and
now that is clearly prohibitively expensive, to the point where

(10:51):
that Saints Row game in twenty twenty two seemed like
an insane initiative from the beginning. Then kind of when
it delivered what it was, it was disappointing way off
the felt like it was a game out of time.
And then we get a few years later and in
mind's I supposed to be this new thing from a
GTA guy and it's not even really a GTA game

(11:12):
at all at its heart, because they're not even trying
to do that because it seems like they know it
wouldn't be possible to pull off.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
So right, and you got Mafia. The New Mafia is
not for the first time not being a GTA Like
to it's not not a genre anymore. The only people
who could afford or like have the the funds to
make that happen is just Rockstar Games. And maybe we're
gonna get to a point where the tools that want
to catch up a bit and mid size teams can
make those kinds of even just other normal Triple A

(11:40):
developers can make those kind of games. Again, it seems
like for the next five, maybe ten years, we're just
it's gonna be GTA six and that's it for this
kind of game.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Yeah, the reality is, as those tools do get more democratized,
it's not like rock Star doesn't get to use those
or come up with their own versions of that. So
when it becomes easier to like build an open world city.
There's that matrix from a few years back now for
Unreal Engine where they showed like, yeah, we hit a
button and it makes the whole open world city for you,
and it's good, like this is a city, like we

(12:08):
understand how cities are made. We made one. And it's like, oh, okay, well,
I'm sure GTA has similar stuff. So now they could
put their infinite resources into all this other stuff to
continue to set their game apart. And and you know,
you still have to compete with that if you're using
the make a city button. It's not like it solves
all your problems and now you look like just like GTA.
It's no, it's not that simple. So yeah, maybe maybe

(12:32):
there are a couple of genres, especially like that one,
where it's just always going to be about that one
studio having way more money and time and resources than
anyone else and you'll you'll never really be able to
catch up. And that, you know, like I said, bums
me out a little bit because I like when these
genres seem to have multiple offerings or have the possibility
for someone to come up from the bottom and surprise
everybody with one of these. You're right, we probably will

(12:53):
get there eventually, especially as you know, GTA six comes
out and no one else tries to enter that space
from the top, and then it's like ten years later
and we're looking around. It's like someone's like, I'm just
going to try to make one of these with the
tools that are available to me, and I'll come up
with some clever solutions and then maybe they'll surprises at
that point. But it does not seem like the immersive
sam which is like burgeoning from the indie scene right

(13:15):
now or something like that, or a handful of other
genres that went away from the eas and the other
publishers that are now coming from indie studios. All right,
let's see PS five players said they're getting Mindsy refunds.
So it is pretty rough over there like that. That
hasn't happened for at least it hasn't happened in a
big public way where it was getting headlines since cyberpunk.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Yeah, cyberpunk got away with it, huh, Like everyone loves cyberpunk.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Now, Yeah, I know you're ready to hold it at
two accounts. Still you want to brother people.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
I'll tell you what, people can have a short tenchet
span this industry. If it's like a gay people really
did want to like, right, I mean, cyberpunk is kind
of a you know in that GTA realm. Right, if
you can still do one of those, boy people want
it to be good, if you can make it good.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
But I don't know.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
There's other reasons why people were holding out hope for
that game. The unique aesthetic, the fact that it was
CD project read. I mean even if they yeah, yeah,
even they tried to make Minds Eye better, I mean,
who's going to show back up and care?

Speaker 1 (14:20):
No?

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Right exactly?

Speaker 1 (14:21):
There there was not that sort of clamoring for Mind's Eye,
like they're like anywhere close to what was happening for
Cyberpunk before that came out. Meanwhile, over in Konami Land,
they had a little event this morning, I think it was.
They talked about a handful of stuff. Really the big news, well,
there was a metal Gear solid multiplayer thing for Delta
called fox Hunt. Sounds like prop Hunt. Sure, that's it.

(14:45):
I bet that'll be cute and we'll try it out.
I bet we'll get a good stream out of it,
which is at this point in my life. If I
get one good stream for Giant Bomb out of a
multiplayer mode or a multiplayer game, I'm pretty happy. And
I'm not sure if the publishers that consider that a success,
but whatever. The other thing is Silent Hill one remake
from Blueber Team. This is the Blueber Team, you know,

(15:08):
the project that Konami's like, Oh, we're working together again.
Look out for it. We're gonna announce it soon. This
is it, and it's the one thing I think everyone
was predicting. Silent Hill two was so successful, seemed to
work on a commercial front, seemed to work on a
critical reception front, and now those two are working together
again for Silent Hill one. I know you're a Silent
Hill two remake fan, how do you feel about this?

Speaker 2 (15:30):
I love solnd Hill two remake. I thought that was
just an absolute home run.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
Really impressed with that, and I just assume just get
that team and have them make another one, and sold
Hill one did seem like the thing to do. Solnd
Hill three apparently is a direct sequal to one. I
only ever played two, so this is neat because I
have never played soland Hill once. I'll be experiencing this
game completely fresh, and I am really excited for it.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Let me, is it a little weird?

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Konomi did a thing here instead of just letting this
be a part of one of the summer Gamefest shows
where it was probably gonna get a lot more attention.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Yeah, I mean it's yeah. If the the question is
is it weird?

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
But also is it do I?

Speaker 1 (16:09):
I think I find it a little encouraging that Konami
is like, no, we want to we want to talk
about our own stuff.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
We used to do E three shows, Let's do one
of those again.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
No.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
I think it's you know, there's something to show here Aventually,
they're gonna have a trailer and that'll show up one
of these shows, and it'll still be a very big
deal exactly.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Yes. And then if Konami still wants to try to
have a direct relationship with its its audience, I find that, again,
like I said, encouraging. I'm hopeful that that publisher really
is dedicated to this current trajectory that it's on with,
you know, making games and promoting games and kind of
owning its presence in Triple A in the Triple A
space again. Yeah, as Ali America points out, there was

(16:46):
a cool thing where we knew about, like the ape
Escape thing with metal Gear and ep Escape. But the
ap Escape is a PlayStation thing, and that game has
also come into Xbox, So what are they doing for that?
Like idea on Xbox it's a Snake versus bomber Man,
and I think that's so fun.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
That's a really cool thing.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Man.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
I love bomber Man.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yeah, he's got a good just a great look, kind
of like I put him in the same bucket as
Mega Man. Weare.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
I just like looking at this guy.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Yeah, give me a Saturn a Tel sixty four era
bomber Man collection with Barman Hero sixty four sixty four
to two Saturn Bomberman.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Give me that ship hell Y Man.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Ten player Bomberman on Switch to would be fantastic.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Actually, I don't know how many players does Bomberman are
to support. I never played those Switch bomber Man games.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
That's a that's a good question.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Those are pretty good games, but I never trying to
like max Yeah, I never tried to max out the
player cap.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
But the Saturn bomber Man was ten and it looked
great too. You know, I guess they ultimately still are that.
You mostly focus on Silent Hill F. That's the big
thing right now, and that got that got a good
shilling during summer game Fest stuff and it looks great,
So you know, if that first, but I think, you know,
I think they saw like, hey, like releasing a lot

(17:57):
of residuable games. I even like, you know, an obnoxious amount,
but having a steady kidance works really well. It seems
like they're doing that with sound Hill.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
I had.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
I know, they had that weird like narrative social experiment
thing and that didn't really work out. But sound Hill
two was fantastic. Sound Hill F looks like it should
be good.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Let's see.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
But this one right here, I'd just be shocked of
this isn't another success. Just having that team together again
working sound Hill one. I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Oh, this is a good point that I wasn't thinking about.
Like we talked about why didn' konami enter into one
of the showcases. You know, they beef with Jeff about
the coach a month of stuff, and coaching was working
with PlayStation so it's like there's probably bad blood, like
enough black bad Blood work Sony. It's like, we can't
look too chummy with with and then do they want
to break to the Xbox?

Speaker 4 (18:45):
I don't know, well, which where Where was the solond
Hill f trailer? Then one of those shows, it was
that one of those shows.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
I thought he was the Game of Wars.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
But past week, yeah, yeah, I can't.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
I don't know. That might be reading too much into it,
but yep, that's that's true.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
And you know, money talks more than anything, so whatever.
At a certain point, everyone's like, we're just trying to
make money and Jeff k yes, me too. Let's just
get back to that. Switch two is fastest selling home
console of all time in just four days, three point
five million. You know, I think I was talking about
this earlier this week somewhere. I think it doesn't matter.
It's like that that is a production success. I think

(19:24):
I was talking to Jason Finilly about it. It's like,
this is about you know, them being able to make
enough and get enough into the supply chain.

Speaker 5 (19:31):
That is all that number really reflects.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
And you know that's apparently that's exactly the case where
it's like, oh yeah, if you look at PS four,
it was like two point one million in a month
or so, maybe two months or something like that, and
it's like, yeah, that's just how many they were able
to make in that time. They sold every single one
that they could get into the supply chain. Basically, I guess,
so what is the takeaway from this? So all they

(19:55):
made a lot of switch twos? I guess I want
to ask you, Mike, how are you feeling about this? Long?
So far? From from all perspectives, They're like, well, you
know when I say that question, what do you think?

Speaker 4 (20:05):
I feel pretty good about it. I mean, you know,
it's still just is the highest sewing launch ever. Yeah,
obviously making a lot of them has something to do
with it, but you still need to have people care,
and they did care. There was obviously demand for a
new switch. I mean, come on, what's the question we've
been hearing from basically the last four years is when
there's a ones, there.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Going to be a new one. What's the new one
gonna be?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Like?

Speaker 4 (20:28):
And here it is, and people seem generally happy. I know,
it's you know, online is online. You'll hear differing opinions,
but overall, I think people who have a switch to
are enjoying their switch to they're enjoying games. They're kind
of enjoying some stuff that maybe is surprising, like game
chat actually being kind of neat, kind of great, kind

(20:48):
of cute, game share, working, GameCube games fantastic, And I
bet everyone's gonna feel even better once we do have
Donkey Kong Bonanza, which is like a month away, right,
I think it's almost literally a month away, So I mean, yeah,
I think you have to just take it as a
pretty unbridled success at this point.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah, and like, you know, it's doing what it needs
to do in this moment, which is be a new
console and have at least one game people care about,
and it's you know, it is the game for the
most like the majority of families who still care about consoles.
Mario Kart is it like that is the one, you know,
if there's another one, it might actually be Mario Party,

(21:27):
which is going to get you know, Mario Party Jamboree
is going to get an update soon.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
And it's easy for us to overlook that.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
As people who play a lot of games to be like,
Mario Kart is ever present and kind of feels like
a very familiar quantity at a certain point for like
you know, hearing Paul Record has played hundreds of hours
of Mario cart and that's kind of all he played
on the Switch. He he ain't alone in that. That
is a huge number of people, and like so that's
what that system needed on day one. It's doing that,

(21:54):
and you know, trying to figure out what the system
is going to do in the future is going to
rely on what does Donkey Kong do, What does METROI do?
What does Pokemon do? And then there's a you know,
Mario yet to come, there is a Zelda yet to come,
There's surprises yet to come, and until those are are
more known to us, we won't know what the future
of this console really is because it is going to

(22:14):
be about the games.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
Yeah, you know, I mean, I'm gonna get Metro praying
for I'm gonna get Donkey Kong this year. I can't
imagine I'd come to the end of twenty twenty five,
and like that was a bit of a disappointing debut
for the Switch to I think there's like a little
bit of burn amongst perhaps the hardcore Nintendo fans like us,
because you know, like Mario Kart World, some people a
little down at some people are looking at a lot

(22:37):
maybe somewhere in between. I am enjoying it, but it's
not like it's not one of these transformative launch games.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Eight out of ten is accurate, but I know you
feel that way about most Mario Karts. I'm like, for me,
I'm up and down a little bit with Marios, Like
I think the recent ones have been nine out of ten,
but this one's an eight out of ten, which is
still really good.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Right, And it's going to obviously so insanely well, even
though it's little that question with the bundle, right, but
it's you know, it's going to do what Nintendo wants
it to do, for sure, but it's not you know,
for me doing the things that say, like Halo did
I'm Mario sixty forty even you know, a rogue leader
or even like an Astro's playroom than when I think

(23:16):
about my favorite launch game experiences.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yeah, yeah, Eric Jesus gerssemind saying people told him TK
is terrible when he was at SGF. Yeah, he was
hanging out with Jordan Midler a lot and Andy Robinson.
And Andy Robinson doesn't seem to like Donkey Kong for
some reason.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
So we'll see, Yeah, Churstma doesn't like Yoshi, so there's
just something, you know, there's some kind of weird bug
hopping around that group.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
We don't.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
Yeah, they're sick. It's what we're saying.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
They're sick in my name, my name, let's see.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
Mike, mikey Manicotti. There he is, Okay.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Koe Techno thinks the system to switch to is closer
to an Xbox Series X. That's an easy thing to say.
I think the system does seem a little bit more
powerful then maybe we were expecting, but not like you
know whatever it's it's going to. It's going to be
a handheld system with all of that entails like you know.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
What, like what does that mean?

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Right?

Speaker 4 (24:10):
It's like I just I get judget based on the
games I'm playing, and a lot of them look really good,
like Mark rot World does look very good, it's very sharp.
A lot of the updated games look great, like the Zeldas,
but Tune three it's updated, I thought looked fantastic, like
the Third Party. There's some things like hit Men where
I'm like, oh, I know, I thought this would look
a little bit better, But then things like street Fighter

(24:32):
six where I'm kind of blown away like, oh yeah,
this is fantastic on Switch too. I'll tell you what
it is, well above good enough for me, right, Like,
this is definitely what I was hoping for, and maybe
a little bit more. You know, all I ever wanted
was sixty FBS games becoming more of a regular thing.
And it looks like I'm what I'm getting in spades here.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Yep, sixty frames per second, a lot of games rendering
at ten eighty and out putting at four K looking
really sharp. A handful of games rendering at four K,
you know, rendering at four K with Nvidio magic on
top of whatever that doesn't matter. It looks really crisp.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Stuff that I just wasn't.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
I was like, you know, the resolution is still going
to be a little bit won key, but if I
get sixty frames per second, I'll be happy. You know.
There's a handful of things that run at one twenty
frames per second or run at four K, and that's
that's pretty cool to see out of the gate. How
long does that last as we are getting native to
switch games, I don't think very long. But if I
get more games at sixty frames per second, then not
I'll be happy as you mentioned that Splatoon update was

(25:34):
really it looks really good. They did a great job
with that. Splatoon three is running better than ever second.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
It's running great.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Mortal Kombat one has not had an update. It like
is listed as having in compatibility issues. It's running better
than ever so that's before they've done anything to like
make it like really spruced up.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
So that's ex I wonder because like cause that game
had like the really like toned down ugly character models,
So like I kind of want to see that game
with the ugly character mall's but running at sixty frames
per second.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Exactly how that's hinged?

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (26:05):
Yeah, in a nightmare version of that game, Red Dead Redemption.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Two is rumored to be coming to the console. There
is a battery bug where the system looks like it's
completely depleting a battery. It goes down to one percent
and then it runs for another hour. It is what
people are saying. So and that's every switch to, every
switch to is having the same battery display percentage bug.
So it probably has better battery life than you think

(26:30):
it does, which is a relief to me because I
thought the battery life was pretty bad and then now
I hear this, since that makes sense because I was
I was continuing to play, and it's like, this thing's
not dying. What's going on here? It's not shutting down
on me. So hopefully they can fix that and kind
of set some minds at ease instead of like giving
everybody battery anxiety when they don't need it. All right,

(26:52):
that's the big stuff I wanted to talk about. We
can try to figure something else out, or Mike, we
could take a break, come back, get into the super chats.
There's plenty any of those. How about that to that?
All right, We'll be right back. Everybody, all right, we
are back. Jeff grabbed Mike Manatti. Game mess decides. Uh, Mike,
there are some super chats. How about we read those?

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (27:15):
Big Frush three seven says biggest s chef news was
the Gerstman homecoming.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
It was nice, very nice. Yeah, it was very nice
for him to come on the show. He was very kind.
I really appreciate that. It was it was great to
see him turn it on when it was like time
to give ship to Mike Manatti. I thought, I just
that was a weird moment for me, of like, who
was a weird moment for me.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
I bet it was like him and Miller and Daddy
and just you know, marking all these all these blueminaries
the gaming industry, Like why are they talking about me?

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Yeah? That was It was a cool night because then,
like we hung out pretty late, Like Daniel Dwyer was
there for a long time and he's just so nice,
and Mark McDonald just kept encouraging us to come out
to Japan.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
He's so nice.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Like I made a special point to go over to
see Luminous the next day because I just wanted to
hang out with him more.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
That game was great.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
It's like, oh, yeah, all these people that I've like
said hi to a couple of times or maybe only
engaged with online, which I think is with the case
with Danny, It's like, oh, of course these people are
as awesome as in person as I was hoping they were.
They that's why they are in the Giant Bomb Orbit
in the first place. So just a really great SGF
got Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
I think I got to be a lot of people
who never met Danny before, obviously, but you know, Mark H. Palmer,
guy nice.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Peter Spittech hung out for a long time that night
as well. It was great to see him.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Just yeah, great people, Yeah a big fresh thirty seven says,
you know, you can't invite people to your game chat
room after the room is made. Got to invite them
when the room is made. Otherwise you got this band.
I think we came across that during.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Yeah, we experienced that today. It's pretty stupid. Yep, that
is that is a silly thing. We will hopefully they
try to update that because I want to keep using that,
But if it becomes a little bit of a headache,
it's gonna feel like kind of silly to invite someone
to that.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
Who's like, why are you using this thing? Because I
like it? I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
Si from Saskatchewan says watched a later episode Dragon ball
Z for the first time. In WTF, guy snipes a
puppy in certain naughty dog joke. Here is mister Stainton
a top tier character dr One. I watched Dragon ball
Z that dog gets better.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Do they use the dragon balls to bring him back?

Speaker 4 (29:25):
No, Boo just brought him back to life with his
Boo powers and it turned him good. But then the
evil part of him separated, and Good Boo and Evil
Boo had to fight. But Evil Boo won and then
they became Super Boo, and then Super Boo absorbed a
bunch of other characters by eating them with chocolate like Piccolo,
and Gohan got really strong. But then Goku and Vegeta

(29:46):
put on the Patorah rings and became Vegeto and they
fought him and they could have killed him, but they
didn't because they had to save the people he ate,
so they let him eat him so they can go inside,
which also undid the fusion. Vegeta didn't want to fuse
again because of his pride, so they separated their friends
from Super Boo, which turned him into Kid Boo, which

(30:08):
isn't actually quite as powerful as Super Boo, but Kid
Boo is evil incarnate and unpredictable, so it was a
very big problem and the only way they're able to
get rid of him was by Goku h doing a
spirit bomb and then den Day, who's the Nemekian Dragon,
balls to bring back everybody from Earth so they can
all lend their energy to Goku. But they weren't at

(30:29):
first because Vegeta wasn't a very good hype man. But
then mister Satan came in to do the hyping for them,
so then everybody gave their energy to Goku. And then
before killing Boo, he's like, I wish you came back
as a good guy, and then he did and he's
a little kid called Ube. And then many years later
he found him in a tournament says I'm going to
train you and leave my family forever and do that instead.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
And that was the end of dragon ball Z.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Next super Chat, Next super Chet is sarsasketchwan ever played
this them game?

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Chess and guns? What chess?

Speaker 4 (31:01):
Now?

Speaker 1 (31:02):
It's not chessting guns? Okay cause it's like chess and guns,
very much like.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
A steam hen taie game.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
But no, I'll give it a shot.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Yeah you think it's just like I hope, it's kind
of just chess with the class threat that the other player.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
Is that that is the best case.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
I think. I like the idea of the chess pieces
having guns, but I do like the idea of just
at any.

Speaker 5 (31:27):
Moment, bang, I don't want to play anymore. That's very good.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
You remember those early piece PC CD ROM chess games,
including that Star Wars one with the very violent animations.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Uh that shit ruled.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Yeah, it was one of those battle chests is that
was that one of them?

Speaker 4 (31:42):
I think it's bout chest. Then they just made a
Star Wars.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
They made a Star Wars.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Everything at that point.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
Well, it was great because like each chess piece was
a different person, like one's Bubba Thatt, one C three
po and there was a different animation for like each
combination of one taking the other piece, and they were
all very creative.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
They're kind of like fatalities.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
We share Chess week. That's what we should do. We
shad golf week Chess Week and then play a bunch
of these different.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
Old could do a traditional tabletop game we can make.
We can do the Poker Night duch.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Would be great. Yes, Poker Poker Night on Mega Man.
I'm I really like that idea. I hope we can
make that happen.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Play some tabletop simulator, Yes, I.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Want to do that. I want to be the only
one in VR while everyone else messes with me in there.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Yeah all right, Big Fresh s thirty seven says, did
you see the one more thing at the Green Game Showcase?
That's one of the craziest things I've seen at an
E three style show. This is the AI slop thing, right,
that Green Game Showcase was apparently a mess.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Even I watch it. It is in saying I can't
believe like Cheff late life slive because it has the
he has the summer the thing on the yeah, on
the stream he's streaming on the Game Awards thing. I
can't believe that thing.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
She was theyly just paid them, right if and.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
If they pay you, like you can't just have that
ship on your show, like you had to draw the line.
I guess this is like it's mistake.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Wait is green games like as in like green energy,
like green, like good planet their heroes, Jeff. And then
they did ai stuff the thing that's burning down forests.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Oh yeah it is hell yeah, Okay cool.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
I kind of want I kind of want you to
react to it on the internet. But it's it's just insane.
It's excreazed.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Okay, But apparently that was separate. Probably the one more
thing was just the Walking Dead tale game.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Again, Yes, he wast the Walking Dead. He wanked. I
don't know why, I don't know how.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
I don't know said they were hardy games that gave
them money.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Wait, what what the fuck are we talking about? Like
not even like a special edition of it, They're just
like by the way.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
This can exist is that what you're saying. Yes, it's
from like twenty twelve or twenty eleven.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
Yeah, he watches that game. They were just say, oh
remember this game? Hell yeah, say remember you want like
they announced it like it was a new game, but
it was that game. I think I think there was
a saying there's a fire escape and for some reason,
Dan was going off on that game and I was
just like listening, like, yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
That's that's your slot.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
That up.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
Yeah, there's a lot of games like damn, you need
to try again and give it another chance.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Tell Tales the Walking Dead.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
Yes, you guys are running in parallel.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
There, Yes, fucking go.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Excellent.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
Here is from side from scatchewangainsas does Rascal might need
wellness checks before each episode? Did his lifted truck and
jet Ski's getting pounded? How could someone who looks that
cool beside?

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Man?

Speaker 2 (34:41):
I knew I was tired of groucy? Was I really
that grouchy?

Speaker 6 (34:43):
There?

Speaker 4 (34:43):
It was also a bad game at a terrible level. Yeah,
it was a rough episode.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
So like you were tired, you were you were kind
of you weren't like making like big mistakes, but you
were missing stuff that I don't think you would normally
miss if you weren't so tired.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
I can see that.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
And you made a point of being tired and cranky,
and then we like really got rubbed that in and
so when people hear that, they're like, all right, time
to get on to make Mikey upset train and like
people love that.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
So I think I think that's all this is. We
got through. He made some progies.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
We're gonna, oh you do.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Maybe media sent Dan his game soon.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
We gotta go to scrub that game, make sure there's
something problematic about it.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
But then I think where's set sounds good?

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Nathan Maloney says, hey, messy boys, could we get a
real deal ultra cool PlayStation showcase this year? Since they
were talking about doing one in June. Thanks, no idea.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
I mean, it wouldn't be till like almost Christmas time,
but this work.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
They could do it in September, right, They've they've done
the showcase in September before.

Speaker 5 (35:43):
But I have no idea. I haven't asked about the
possibility of that.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
I haven't asked if like doing those state of play
means that they won't be able to pull off.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
A showcase now.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
But you know that's that's a company that should have
a bunch of studios that are going to be ready
to reload here any minute, and by any minute, I
mean over the next two years. At some point, does
that stuff line up to justify a showcase. I don't know.
I really don't have anything.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
There's only a Big Boys showcase, you know, Like, I
feel like we're going to be set for a while
at least now.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
For Yeah, I thought that state of play was was
really really solid, Like they.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
Might do another thing for Ghost of Yota before that
comes out, right.

Speaker 5 (36:19):
Right, they'll do maybe a dedicated state of play, right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
Let's see her now, doctor, But Hugger says, the biggest
game of the year comes out tomorrow on Friday the thirteenth.
Five Nights f Freddy's. Secret of the Mimic thoughts. Yeah,
I mean, if you told me that there were now
thirty two five nights at Freddy's, I believe you.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
I don't think that's that far off. Like there's a
lot of those.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
Games are fun.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
No, in fact, one of my least we were at
Acronus by the way, FFNF.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
I don't like.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Saying it fanaf.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Yeah, I don't know. I like saying FANAF. I guess
fun Megan Man's much better.

Speaker 5 (36:55):
Well, no one said it was, and of course it is.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Part of me is always like, one day we should
just play through a lot of the Finaffe games on
Giant bumb I would like they're not on fun And.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
I bet I bet they're like I played the first one.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
I bet they would be good at like getting eyeballs
and stuff. We would probably get a different audience or
something like that.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Let's see here now.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
While Brendan says First Light is too generic for Double
oh seven, so my cue is where does it fit better? Horizon,
First Light, Dying Light, First Light. I wouldn't ring Night Ring,
First Light or first Light in Atomic Universe game. That's
pretty funny. Yeah, Dying Light, I think is actually the best.
Think it works really well with Dying Light Light. Yeah,

(37:40):
it also sounds like a subtle for Infamous to me.
Wasn't there like seconds on First Light?

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Yeah, it's kind of right.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
I'm almost I'm surprised it wasn't on this list.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
I think I just assumed it was being listed here
as we were like starting to read First Light subtitles.

Speaker 5 (37:53):
It's like, yeah, it's infamous first Light.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Of course it is.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
I was like one of my computer history books was
constantly talking about like where was first light? Meaning like
what was the first PC with like a colored graphic display.
But they kept using the phrase first light. Like that's
funny that I'm hearing this so much all of a sudden. Huh. Okay.
Next up is from Wiley Jenkins. Any thoughts on the
Braley Default remake. Not sure why it switched you only,
but it's pretty fun if you're into that sort of thing.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
No, I would I want to play it. I'm not gonna.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
I'm not not upset, but they kind of hot shot
me on my code request. They're Bravey Default too, and
I'm a little you know, it's fine, but I was
a little how don was they taken aback?

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Well, like, okay, there there's the potential for you to
be the bravely default guy here at Launch.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
I like Bravey Default. I don't know how many more.

Speaker 4 (38:42):
There's probably other people like Braley Default, but I talked
about Braley Default probably as much as anybody else. But yeah,
that's okay, that's fine. I want to check it out.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
That's the one switch to game I didn't request a
code for As we were planning out this the big
quick look today, I was like, Okay, we're gonna do this.
I'm gonna ask around for codes, and everyone was like immediate,
like yeah, there you go, no problem. And I'd even
ask about Bravely Default because of what you said.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
I I, yeah, I am curious.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
I've seen some people say that like the upress kind
of hand drawn backgrounds maybe like a little smudgie. Now,
whether that's because it's like weird AI upresing or just
the way they stretch, I don't know. I haven't actually
I don't have it to pay on that myself, but
it seems like people are enjoying it.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
I like pray with Default a lot.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
I'm curious A lot of people have a big problems
with the kind of final act of that game. I
didn't mind it so much, but I wonder if they
kind of, you know, uh, try for Shard Quest, did
that from what Winwiger HD or anything, or if they
just sort of kept that as is incredible sound check
on that game. Wiley Jacket says how many gas then flags?

(39:46):
As Rascal Mike own, I wasn't sure what that meant, Jeff,
And I'm like, I bet it's the don't tread on
Me flag.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
And then I looked it up and it's the don't
tread on me.

Speaker 5 (39:54):
Okay, you look at that man? God, who's Gadson.

Speaker 6 (39:59):
Said?

Speaker 4 (39:59):
That must be the I who came up with don't
try it on me. But boy, that goes that does
go back to like the revolutionary warrant things.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
Yeah, of course, yeah, I mean that was the flag.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
They were, yeah, flying like you know, the snake coming
together like we have to be one. Uh, you know,
the absolutely Christopher Gatson from South Carolina, a delicate in
the Continental Congress and brigadier general in the Continental Army.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
There you go, oh, there you go.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
Now he now the patrons state of chuds everywhere.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Huh.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
Laser Wolf says, as a supply chain manager, the trials
and tribulations of Merchantmaster Mike is my favorite thing. Now
at least keep complaining about how difficult you think it is.
Oh God, I still need to go in the back
end and manually refund a bunch of these mugs. I
got to make sure I do that tomorrow. They haven't
gotten to it.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
What's funny?

Speaker 4 (40:46):
Is like. Everybody's actually very nice, and it's when it's
on I'm responding to them a lot.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
I'm like, I'm like, look, I'm gonna refunds for you.

Speaker 4 (40:53):
Like, don't refund it. I want to give you a
It's like give it as a donation. I'm like, no,
it's a product you bought. You didn't get it. It
has to be refunded. But I do appreciate everybody being
patient and nice.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
Yeah, we'll give you new stuff to buy on the store,
Like we got a merch Master, now.

Speaker 4 (41:08):
You have a merch Maaster. Next up is Epic Open World.
Have you guys checked out Absolum. She's to rate four
devs making a Golden Axe inspired game, except it as
a Rogue Light as a demo, and I enjoyed it.
I saw it at play Days and looked at it
at thought Emu's booth and thought, hey, that kind of
looks like a Golden Axe and it looks neat, so
I might have to try it at some point.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
Oh I love Golden Ax's magic system. I oh, yeah,
so friggin cool.

Speaker 5 (41:36):
That's one of my favorite parts of playing that game
for sure.

Speaker 4 (41:40):
Except is rogers Og. What was your favorite reveal at
SGF mine was the reveal that Mike is the one
guy who likes MBC because of Capcom and not Marvel. Okay,
that's an admirable quality of mine, right, How can you.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
Be the one guy? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (41:56):
I thought amongst the gaming people, most people certainly would
care more about cap Con.

Speaker 3 (42:01):
I thought we all thought Marvel was washed.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
I thought about Marvel was basic. Basic.

Speaker 3 (42:08):
I you're the first person I know who cares more
about the Capcom characters than the Marvel characters in the NBC.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
Do you Marvel characters more than Capcom?

Speaker 3 (42:18):
Uh? Yeah, I mixed a match, but yeah, I will
say yes, I do. Like you know, Barash and all
that stuff, that's more than cap Con. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
Listen, no one's saying that Marvel characters are bad in
that game. They're great in that game.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
Well, i'll tell you what too. With the fighting people,
they're always especially in Marvel two. There they are the
most powerful ones by far, all the strong characters. And
I was cat on two are the Marvel characters.

Speaker 1 (42:41):
That's that's that's probably.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
It cooler looking. You know, Storm is way cooler than.

Speaker 4 (42:46):
Is that core than Joe Valentine. Storm is an ethics,
storms Core, then more again.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
Yeah, I think I do think that. Yes, thank you
for making me realize that. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
Nah, Mega Man Mega Man score and Iron war Machine.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
Of state.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
Machine.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
You fucking insaneine. He literally works for the government and
it's called war machine.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
What do you think he's fighting wars against?

Speaker 1 (43:16):
These might as well be called killing civilians?

Speaker 3 (43:19):
Guy?

Speaker 2 (43:20):
Yeah, come on, yes, you love real?

Speaker 3 (43:27):
Can I not?

Speaker 1 (43:29):
Really?

Speaker 2 (43:30):
Okay, Mike's crash out right?

Speaker 4 (43:34):
Yeah, anyways, I don't my favorite announcement. I did go
pretty vertical for PERSONA four. I think that'd be real
was good. Residueval nine recliams good? What you answered the
question first? I want to talk about.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
Residual Oh yeah, yeah, My favorite was felt that, Like,
I mean, I love boxing games and I love puppets,
Like I'm just a huge muppet guy, and I thought.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
That looked fantastic.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
One thing I will like always be a lockstep with
Jeff Keeley on is muppets are cool and I'm glad
he's I'm glad we have a champion in that position
to always sort of run with that.

Speaker 3 (44:07):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (44:07):
One thing I will never fault him for or give
him crap for is like constantly making Muppets part of
his things, and constantly making himself a part of Muppet projects,
Like when he showed up and that Muppets on and Mitch,
I'm like, hell, yeah, dude.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
That's what I would like a million percent relatable of,
Like if I had that power, I would be doing
the exact same thing.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
Absolutely, you didn't ask me, But Marvel to Cone is
pretty cool, even though Mike is bummed about him.

Speaker 4 (44:32):
Yeah, books fantastic, That's gonna be really fun. That'sable game
look great too. Actually, did you saw the Resival theater demo?

Speaker 1 (44:41):
Right?

Speaker 2 (44:42):
Okay, yeah, so did you? Did you enjoy that?

Speaker 4 (44:45):
Because I don't really talked to you about what you
thought because we both saw it on separate appointments.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
Yeah, yeah, I think so.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
I think it's for me, like what we saw in
that theater demo was very Resident Evil seven, and then
I think toned down a little little bit in terms
of just the sheer terror, which I'm like I'm a
fan of of, Like, Okay, I can go in third
person to make it a little bit less scary if
I do get too spooked, and overall it doesn't feel

(45:10):
as just oppressive, like nightmare fuel that I thought by
the Resident of Evil seven was. So it's like, I
think I might be able to like get the scares
of a resident Evil seven without it like being too
much for me. And then it just it looks great.
I think that Grace character looks fantastic. I think I do.
Maybe the big enemy that's chasing you, I don't know
if I'm super hot on the design of that in particular,

(45:33):
but yes, is.

Speaker 2 (45:34):
There a part of you like that's like, oh, we're
doing this thing again?

Speaker 1 (45:37):
Huh yeah, yeah, right, let's say, and if we're doing
this thing again, it's got to be like the best
one yet.

Speaker 5 (45:42):
And I did not feel that way about it, But whatever,
I don't.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
I don't think this is like the bulk of what
this game is a lot more going on.

Speaker 4 (45:50):
They're holding it in a lot back And yeah, I
think that double looked really cool, but I think I
later heard somebody describe it as they're kind of playing
the hits with that one, and I'm like, yeah, it
does look like that on I guess I was expecting
maybe a bigger swing, is all I'll say in terms
of something new.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Same, And I think the bigger swing is yet to come.
I mean, there's there's other stuff beyond what I think
might be the bigger swing, which I do I do
think is we're gonna be in Raccoon City in some way,
like whatever that means at this point. Then like obviously
there's there's characters that will probably come back that will
be very funny to send back to Raccoon City like that.

Speaker 5 (46:25):
Yeah, I'm ready to say.

Speaker 4 (46:26):
I wonder if because in that demo, when they when
they did the switch from first to third person in
the options, they showed us when first person mode, it
said recommend it. So I still did, in fact, and
I'm proud of myself because I was like reading like
the Reddit boards, everyone's like, Mike Mnoight from Gamesby mentioned
that the option when you said it was recommended for
first person, how come no one else said that. I'm like, hell, yeah,

(46:47):
look at me, I'm contributing.

Speaker 5 (46:50):
Your observational powers have come into use here.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
Fantastic.

Speaker 4 (46:54):
But it does make me wonder if there is a
second character who is maybe more defaulted to third person,
who is maybe a bit more of a like Resident
Evil two or maybe even roseenvilfour.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
Remake vibe kind of thing going on there.

Speaker 4 (47:07):
Not quite like the three disparate different campaigns from six
level and maybe something like that.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
I think that's exactly what's gonna happen here, and and hey,
I'm ready for I think Resident Evil nine just looks
cool from what I've sawt what I've seen, and if
there is more to it, great, if there's not like
that spooky hospital setting that we're getting there worked for me.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
I almost garantee that there's no way that's the only setting.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
The penguin question, where's Barry, who's your favorite like B
or C level Resident Evil character.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
I'm a big.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Barry guy for sure. But Barry's fantastic for sure. I
mean he's up there, He's Mount rushmore of that. I
always did like Rebecca.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Rebecca Chambers is fun.

Speaker 5 (47:52):
Yeah, she's fun.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
I want to play I do want to.

Speaker 4 (47:54):
Play zero, and I hope they remake zero because I'm like,
you know, what's that would be the Rebecca Chambers game.

Speaker 1 (48:00):
Got to do that eventually, make that game like, actually good,
that'd be great.

Speaker 4 (48:04):
Was she a playable character in like the second Revelations
or was because Jill's in the first one?

Speaker 1 (48:09):
Right, Yeah, I've played Revelations one on three DS and
I really I remember really liking that, although I don't
think I remember a single other thing about that game.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Yeah, there's some characters I haven't seen a while, like
Shiva that I would like to come back.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
Oh yeah, that that'd be cool.

Speaker 4 (48:21):
Yes, that's a guy from three. It's Barry and Claire
and Resident Evil Revelations too. I need to play that game. Wait,
Claire not Rebecca. Claire's kind of was like three sixty. Yeah, everything,

(48:42):
I'll play that sometime.

Speaker 1 (48:43):
Yeah, that'd be something I would like to watch on
stream sometimes. If you're gonna do that on your personal stream,
like around Halloween, that'd be cool.

Speaker 4 (48:49):
Uh, you are still on the hook for a Residentvil
six co op play three with me?

Speaker 1 (48:52):
By the way, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (48:53):
Listen whenever you just you know, you ring me up
and I'll be there.

Speaker 4 (48:57):
Maybe it'll be a Halloween thing. Okay was I? I
got the side of tracks there.

Speaker 1 (49:01):
For you on epic No no, wait, yeah, okay you got.

Speaker 4 (49:05):
It, Adam GC It says man, I am loving Mario
Kart World. Some incredible tracks, difficulty spikes, welcome up their
years of plaint eight in that theme song rips, I
do love the music and the tracks I mean, is
it I guess do you think it's a difficulty spike
or do you think it's kind of more bullshit?

Speaker 1 (49:22):
Oh no, no, there's both. Both things are happening there.
There is more bullshit and that's that's I'm noticing that
online where it's like, you know, I don't feel like
there's any like oxygen for me to breathe here to
like play Mario Kart.

Speaker 5 (49:37):
It's like it's just all all bullshit all the time.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
And then one hundred and fifty CC got hands like
that that'll mess you up. That is a difficult difficulty
level where you will see the AI taking shortcuts in
a way that makes a lot of sense, and it's
just like, oh, they are doing that move at the
right time to get a huge you know, lead on
me at the very last moment. That is act sally

(50:00):
cool stuff to see. So I like that at one
hundred fifty CC is difficult because it seems like they
got the AI to be really like clever of like
when to use their items in.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
How Ali Miracle says he all killed it this GB
at night, old owner and new owner chopping it up
with some of the best It's felt like the vibes
of the Whiskey days.

Speaker 2 (50:18):
Loved it. Thank Yoully Miracle appreciate.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
Yeah, thank you appreciate. Yeah, I'm pretty happy about it myself.

Speaker 4 (50:23):
Big Nikki Alberto says, can we start a sidepot of
super chats to get Christian on GP at night couch
next year?

Speaker 2 (50:30):
Christian? Figure out how much you think that's gonna cost?
Do you have a Do you have a passport?

Speaker 3 (50:34):
I do have at all?

Speaker 1 (50:36):
Right?

Speaker 4 (50:36):
Then cool visa?

Speaker 3 (50:39):
Yeah, yeah, how much it will cost? I don't know, man,
you need to look that up. I thought you figure
that out.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
You've got till next June.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
Right here there you go.

Speaker 4 (50:52):
Andres Rihanna says, are there any other cringe memories from
E three's like the split gate hat guy? Also did
Mike say Mount Rushmore of Let's Go Panther's penis?

Speaker 3 (51:02):
No, but mind about Marvel Tolki And that was the
crusiest moment in all the time.

Speaker 4 (51:09):
I mean got everything like that, you know, mister caffeine
doctor kaffeine, mister everything he did was pretty cringey.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
There was the ubisofta people white I can't remember her name.

Speaker 4 (51:20):
There was a lot of creey, cringey press conference hosts
and weird moments. There's that Konami presser e Vet that's
funny now, but also cringey when it was like the
just Dance section where they basically brought out the fake
cast of high school musical or whatever. I mean, there's
a lot of cringe and Oldie three Booth Babes itself

(51:42):
is incredibly cringey.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
Yeah, yeah, it was like the whole the whole thing.

Speaker 5 (51:47):
For a moment, there was a cringe fest for sure.

Speaker 4 (51:50):
Missouri Matt says regarding Mind's Eye and a purna published
twelve minutes in that game was a terrible idea.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
That's the insect game.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
Yeah, well one of them.

Speaker 4 (52:02):
Anyhow, Yeah, Boilers, there's a there's a moment I can't
remember why we're back our talking about incest for a
while on that's when it was Iyra topics.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
Yeah, it was very funny, it was.

Speaker 1 (52:14):
It was hilarious and the best The best part was
you sitting in the other room cracking up the entire time.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
And that was popping me.

Speaker 3 (52:21):
That was like HBO shows.

Speaker 2 (52:24):
Yeah, yeah, oh yeah it was.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
But then he then he shifted to incest porn and
that's when Russ pulled the party popper. But he's right.

Speaker 4 (52:31):
It's like you used to just have sex on your
HBO shows and that they felt pretty riscay, But everybody
started fucking on shows and that had to be incest sex.
H people did pop or care or feel anything. Again,
He's not wrong, because we're all getting to set. Ryan
Allen says, which to finally arrived. I ended up getting
a game Sir Supernova and lieu of a Prokachour. I

(52:54):
already loved this thing. I don't know much about the game,
Sir Supernova. It has a funny name, though, Jeff, do
you know about this controller?

Speaker 2 (53:01):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
I'm looking at it right now. I just a little
did a little sidebar thing here on Edge. Only fifty dollars.
I'll check it out. Looks pretty cute.

Speaker 2 (53:10):
I do like my Switch to Pro controller a lot, though, Yeah, fantastic.
I like mine.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
I've heard some people are having a dpad issue where
like like the same thing that happened in my first
generation Switch one controller. To me, the it does just
it feels better, but I'll give it a shot. I'll
try the contratest with it. Although I heard that retro
gamecre did do the contratest with it, and it failed
pretty pretty poorly, So that's a shame to hear.

Speaker 4 (53:37):
Next up is from oh grug So, why is Jeff
going to watch Tiptoes on Monday?

Speaker 1 (53:44):
Of course, I'm like, give me, yes, you have trailers,
but I didn't, says Jeff. So a bunch of jokers
on the internet, these people who are so funny.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Of yeah, I'm sending me funny.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
You're gonna have to watch you are going you have
to watch love on a least the jet the fact, Well,
you're like, well, I know of a Ben movie too,
and I bet it's just as bad.

Speaker 1 (54:05):
There's no way be worse than like a talking cat
or what's the other riff tracks movie like the Alligator
one where it's just a noodle and guitar the whole
time and it's.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
A puppet on the back.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
Does have to be just as bad. But it's okay.

Speaker 5 (54:21):
It sounds like, no, this one is somehow worse, So okay.

Speaker 4 (54:24):
I think this is a new level. I think levels
is a brand new level. I've seen a lot of
bad movies.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
It didn't know that was possible. I did not know
that was progressive. You're right, I'll watch it.

Speaker 4 (54:34):
Boston says, Jeff, you're watching Stanley Cup Finals.

Speaker 2 (54:36):
Go Panthers.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
I've been meaning to you, but I've been busy every
single night one of those games has been happening, which
has been really frustrating because it's been a really good series.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
I've been trying to keep up with as much as
i can.

Speaker 4 (54:46):
Though, Cameron Ring says that Dragon Balls Lord Dump cured
my depression and replaced it with a tumor of you
both Shween.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
I remember scene. I haven't heard Sween in a while.

Speaker 4 (54:59):
Yeah, the congratulations I think emberone like half the jokes
on Penny Arcade with them saying the word wing.

Speaker 5 (55:06):
Yeah, I mean, listen, it was a good word. Fifteen
years ago.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
I had empathy for Penny Arcade because in the Masters
of Doom book they're like, oh, Web comic made a
joke about Romero like this, and I'm like, I know
exactly that comic.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
It was Penny or Ka.

Speaker 4 (55:21):
Why didn't you at least say a Penny Arcade comic?
Mm hmm, come on, the name dropped Penny Ark. It
was two thousand and three. They could have still used
it too, reas that book was that old. Actually, the
thing's been around for a while.

Speaker 5 (55:31):
That's like one of Yeah, it's one of the earlier,
like really good gaming books.

Speaker 4 (55:33):
Yeah yeah, uh gosh, I think somebody recommended I think
this was Brad recommended.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Doomd is just Romero's autobios.

Speaker 1 (55:43):
I've been meaning to read that.

Speaker 4 (55:45):
Yeah, so I about to check that out at some point.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
See her now.

Speaker 4 (55:48):
Next one is from Tristan k W five Games and stuff.
When I was a kid, my grandma won a decent
amount on a lottery ticket and I begged her to
buy me a Rascal with It. Bike Club has me
feeling guilty.

Speaker 1 (56:02):
Frames per second. It's a graphical showcase.

Speaker 2 (56:04):
That's right. Yeah, it's important stuff.

Speaker 4 (56:07):
Next up is Andres Rihano. The damn growing segment shook
me to my core. Awesome job at GB at night.
Thank you for all you do is go to a
bad dad. Also Dino Crisis make went I think so
like this is the worst. There's so much bad jokes
that a lot of people are now like countering it
like no, he's not, but again like that, there's a
lot of times at that show where he's just like

(56:28):
I'm gonna leave forever, Like but even when he's like, Oh,
I think I'll stay dead, It'll be safe.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
But he's like, what about your family?

Speaker 1 (56:38):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (56:38):
I forgot about those. Yeah, it's kind of a lot.
I forgot about this.

Speaker 4 (56:42):
He's definitely a bad friend.

Speaker 3 (56:46):
And he's sorry. But there's a scene in drawon Ball
Super where he sees Vegeta and bu my kiss and
he's load. He's He's like, what is that, which makes
at my head about Chichi. What the fuck is Chichi
doing with she? He has two children's with this.

Speaker 1 (57:07):
Guy, so Chichi looks like she doesn't want to kiss either.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
That'd be fair, I think.

Speaker 4 (57:11):
I do think there has been a little bit of
flatterization and character assassination of Goku in Dragon Ball Super
as much fun as some of the stuff and Super is.
I think they have turned Goku into a complete idiot.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
Yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 3 (57:24):
I mean he he at LEASTI gets mad when people
heard his friends, so he has that going for him.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
You know, he's got that going for him.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
I think they'll get to a Dyno crisis remick eventually,
and it is this is the appropriate way of describing it.
Shook to my core. That is what many people were
trying to say. When they watched Dan cook that burger.
They were just everyone was so upset. I was mad.

Speaker 4 (57:45):
The biggest thing that got me was the way he
formed the patties of all that gunk on the floor,
and how I had to ask him like four times
to clean it none he wouldn't, And how he refused
to wash his hands when when I told him too,
and then just forgot later.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
He should have gotten sick. He should have gone sick.
He's not going to learn.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Yep, he should have got it.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
Really got me.

Speaker 1 (58:01):
You got shipped for the cook like the cook level
of the burgers when he didn't wash his hands.

Speaker 4 (58:06):
I got more shit than him for making sure the
burgers were cooked to a safe temperature.

Speaker 3 (58:12):
People like that.

Speaker 2 (58:14):
You can't belie what the burger was.

Speaker 1 (58:15):
Pink.

Speaker 4 (58:15):
Yeah, it's pink, not red, A little bit of pink.
You're gonna be fine. You're gonna be fine all the time.
Yep ook Goba Goo boy says favorite super Sillyan form.
I've always dug Super Siyan three. Hmmm. I think I
think even though two doesn't really look different from one,
that's kind of the problem. I think the build up

(58:36):
to two was the best, and it's just you know,
if you showed me a picture of one and two,
if I don't have the lightning sparks, I don't really know.
If it's two, it's probably just one. I think they
moved on from things too much.

Speaker 3 (58:47):
The problem.

Speaker 4 (58:47):
Three looks really cool, but like three never even had
a big win in like like three never defeated an
important villain. True, it like showed up in the middle
of the Boot saga as a flex and that kind
of it. So that's that's three. It was like it was.

Speaker 3 (59:04):
Like one silver bullet that didn't even work because they
used it once and you had to go back to
heaven or whatever. Yeah, would you choose the iconic one
is the best?

Speaker 1 (59:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (59:14):
It was kind of like Super saying one point five
from the sel Saga, except it had a proper number.
Four looks really cool, but I just don't care about GT.
I have not seen Dima yet. Maybe I'll appreciate four
more when I watch that. But like, now, four is
weird because we have all these other forms in Super
that takes place after, but no one talked about four,
And it's like, well, it's Super saying four stronger than

(59:37):
Super Saiyan God or Super Saiyan Blue or Ultra Instinct
or Beast go On or Ultra Ego, the ga. It's
like all these things, you know, it's too much. It's
too much the scaling side of control. There's too many forms.
U Piccolo's orange now. And he did it by just
asking the dragon to do form. I'm like, man, we

(59:58):
should have done that a long time ago. I could
saying a lot of problems. Is that an updated? Is
that patched dragon? You know he has some more powers.
They patched the dragon, Jeff Dragon Dragon patch the dragon
dragon ball?

Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
Fuck you?

Speaker 2 (01:00:16):
Next super Chat all right?

Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
The next one?

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Oh ship?

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Where do they go that they pushed wrong button? Fan funding?

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
Okay, Algre says merch Master Mitch Merchant, and we got
to get some non Mitch merch as.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
I think next we get the merch Master Mitch Merch
and Monday Mornings missed with Mitch and we just have.

Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
And we get to be on the show too.

Speaker 4 (01:00:43):
Imagine like the props, the perpetual motion machine of a
merch shirt that just advertises the merch right, it's like
the human sever just forget.

Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
It's it's it gives itself its own energy.

Speaker 3 (01:00:59):
Yeah, yeah, you get it, you get it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:02):
Jason Fuld says, how much will we have to spend
to get Mike into a World Series of Poker qualifying event?
And would they let you film it for GB content?

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Wait? Like, what is your history with with like shoot poker?

Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
I only I played friendly games.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
I had a poker and it was something like enjoyed
poker because I was like so into World Series of
Poker when it was.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
Like was first.

Speaker 4 (01:01:21):
I never actually I never watched a ton of competitive.
If I watched at night, it would be like the
super late night show that up be on ESPN because
I couldn't sleep.

Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
I wasn't watching the big event or anything like.

Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
Okay, I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
I couldn't name those people.

Speaker 5 (01:01:32):
Like Chris Chris Moneymaker, lizard Man.

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
I remember that guy, lizard Man that's from so caliber.

Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
Well, he's also a great poker player, very lucky poker player.
Actually he had like seven heads up all ins in
a row that he won. It was insane.

Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
I think we know different, lizard Bed.

Speaker 4 (01:01:54):
I can't. I can't tell people are like actually bad.
When I do this dracktball thing. They're all playing along.

Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Some people see that it's gonna be it's gonna be
a thing. Probably in the.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
Next couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
It's gonna be a yes, we got it, we go.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
Next up, as Edgar Marina says, can't believe I beat
Found Fantasy. Wumpus two is a kid. Then Mike, he's
a guide on his replay. No, I use guys on
the first time though, Like the first time I played
all those Final Fantasy games around two thousand and four.
There's one there's the same guy, same gal an a
or something, and he did all these incredible game facts

(01:02:33):
guys for the mainline final fantasies, you know, something like
I was like, you know, it's not like a printed
out of win guy by guy, but yeah, I look
stuff up on those things sometimes, Like why not it
was just kind of part of the of course. Yeah yeah, yeah, like, uh,
definitely helpful in the earlier More two suns. But even then,
I think you can get through the Final Fantasies relatively good. No,

(01:02:54):
not asthmenan. Next up is a love on a leash
for game mess Hall of Fame, Penis. Oh, we do
have to do a game Miss Hall of Fame though.
Huh yeah, we'll get one set up for next week,
Burrito says Jeff blink twice in third person for help.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
How do I? Oh? Oh from is this a that's
a reference to your exploits in not Alan, Wake the Other.

Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
Alone in the dark?

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
Yes, that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
I gave her a blank button that was third person
blinking yep that you could activate whenever you needed it,
which was always are you yeah, I'll give you a
blank next time. Don't worry.

Speaker 4 (01:03:34):
You think you're going to just play through like the
recommended perspective. Then in requiem or you you a guy like, no,
I'm gonna I want third person?

Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Oh I am far No, I'm like the opposite of
a oh I need third person guy. I'm like, more
first person games, the better to me, because I do
feel like third person is such the preferred thing widely
that I'm like, and I love first person. I'm like,
anytime I can represent, I want to play for first person,
but if I get too scared, I'll switch it to
third person for a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
I'm kind of like, whatever whatever you think is best.

Speaker 4 (01:04:06):
That's why I like when if it was like either
or and they were treated equally, maybe I would have
done third But as soon as I saw that recommended
by first person.

Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
I'm like, that's what I'm gonna do then.

Speaker 5 (01:04:16):
And I'm glad. I'm glad that they're saying that.

Speaker 4 (01:04:19):
Pego Marino says, which Gohan is your favorite future or
cell games? Definitely not like high school and beyond Gohan,
he kind of became a dweeb. Yeah, I think I'm like,
the best Gohan is the one armed Gohan from a
history of Trunks.

Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
That that guy was cool. Yeah, that's future go on, Yeah,
that guy rules.

Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
Give me a dragon ball Z movie you watch tonight?

Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
Oh oh have you seen it?

Speaker 5 (01:04:45):
I've only seen Tree of Life. I've only ever seen
Tree of Life.

Speaker 4 (01:04:48):
Okay, I like the Tree of Mites whatever it is. Well,
you should if you want to nostalgi, you pick World Strongest.
You want to watch one of the newer ones. Watch
Battle of the Gods. Yeah, the first super one, Yeah,
the first.

Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
The Broadly one is the best one of them all.

Speaker 2 (01:05:04):
It's the best one.

Speaker 4 (01:05:05):
But they're like, there's enough connective tissue between those four
super movies that you could just start watching them in
order to do.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
Bout the Gods, which is good.

Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
Then maybe watch the Freezer one, which is but then
Brawley great Superhero great however, but my my other favorite
ones probably are the World Strongest Tree of Might, the
Fusion Reborn, and then the one with Tampa, the one

(01:05:35):
where like kid Trunks is the main hero, but then
super saiying three Gookies shows up at the end and wins. Anyway, Yeah,
i't lot the Acharina Hina Aina.

Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
I don't know, I mean taping on.

Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
Yeah, that one, the Wrath of the Dragon. I can't
remember the name of that one, but I remember it,
all right. That's uh oh, one more, Senor Bean says,
Ice Melts in sunny Los Angeles.

Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
There you go, yeah, icetream it's straight, it's right.

Speaker 4 (01:06:01):
Yeah, alrighty think you so about you? But if you
want to send in any more super chats, we will
read them before the end of the show.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
Yeah, thanks everybody. As always, we appreciate the support. That
was awesome. Let's take a break, we'll come back. We'll
do our game for the night.

Speaker 2 (01:06:21):
All right, we're back.

Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
Game Us decides we're gonna do the mount rushmore of
gaming bugs and by that we mean glitches. I guess
we should just call them glitches because people, that's that
is the common parlance. I no, developers call them bugs.
But then Sean came in here, said Catterpy, so let's
call them glitches. Mike Manatti, I guess where should we
start here? What do you think the you know? I

(01:06:44):
was asking you, do you think there's no famous ones?
You said you had a couple, like, what do you
think of when when you say when I say video
game glitches and you know, famous ones, it's.

Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
All sorts of ones.

Speaker 4 (01:06:52):
There's one of that kind of more funny memes things,
there's one that are sort of really interesting wowed. Then
there are some that were oddly beneficial to the game
and even the industry. But since you said Pokemon, the
first one I'm gonna think of is Missing No.

Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
Yeah, that's one of the only two I could think of. Yes,
the Pokemon that shouldn't exist.

Speaker 4 (01:07:13):
It's just a bad fetching of data and shows up
as this jarbl of pixels and sprites. And it was
the kind of the ultimate uh school yard rumor. But
unlike you know, some of these other things, it was real.
Missing No is out there. If you catch him, it
can ruin your game. But something about this guy actually

(01:07:35):
being real and seeing him as I see a reference
to missing no.

Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
I'm like, hell yeah, I remember that I was there.

Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
And it's it is. It's missing no period in playing
it's missing number, right, Like that's actually a number? Okay, right? Yeah.
I think what puts it over the top is it
is one of those ones that sounds like an urban legend,
but it's actually real that. That is what makes it
famous enough to be uh probably the George Washington on

(01:08:01):
this thing. As as far as I'm concerned, Mike, The
only one other one I could think of is the
one in uh rock a City where uh, the one
where Ken Basinger could somehow just randomly be naked in

(01:08:22):
that game, and for some reason they rendered her.

Speaker 5 (01:08:25):
With nipples, almost as if the bug was meant to happen.

Speaker 2 (01:08:28):
I just sway a second.

Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
I'm sorry, I got rock a City in mine side
mixed up all.

Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
Oh, Mike, don't worry that they're in the They're basically
the same thing.

Speaker 6 (01:08:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
How many people are playing rock a City on Steam?

Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
Okay? I guess I bet it's I bet it's one.
One person is playing rock a City right now.

Speaker 2 (01:08:46):
Rocky City Dean chair this. I bet there's tens, maybe four?

Speaker 4 (01:08:52):
Wow, one hundred and sixteen people are playing Rock City
rock a City.

Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
I'm sorry, it's.

Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
It's only worse than my diet.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
Yeah, but it's an order of magnitude more though.

Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
Let's be fare right, kim basing or in rock Care
What what's that game's full name? Crime?

Speaker 6 (01:09:14):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
Crime Boss?

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Oh my god, rock Case.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
Oh what a fake ass game? That level? Yeah, that's
not a real video game. Yep, all right, what else
you got? Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:09:27):
Evil Gandhi from The Civilization a bug in his uh
code where he was supposed to be one of the
less aggressive leaders because he's, you know, so peaceful, and
actually he became super aggressive and was the fastest to
nuke people in Civilization and it became an enduring character trait.

Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
I do like that.

Speaker 1 (01:09:47):
Like, that's another fun one where the bug becomes the
character trait that that is a cool thing where it's
like it just becomes so noticeable that everyone associates that
character with that behavior even though it's the opposite of
what there's public persona should be. Civilization.

Speaker 5 (01:10:05):
Okay, did I spell Gandhi right?

Speaker 1 (01:10:06):
Chat? I just does not feel right to me, But
that's wrong. Oh yeah, I didn't put it up there
give me a second.

Speaker 3 (01:10:13):
I'll get looked at for everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
Well, this gives me a chance to spell it right
before anyone sees how bad I did the first Yep,
all right, there we go. Okay, if I like, okay,
let me ask you if this one is real?

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
What was it?

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
The one in Luigi's mansion where Luigi's shadow looked like, look,
look he was being hung?

Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
Was that real?

Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
Do we know?

Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
That's an urban legend? Right, That's what I'm saying. It's
an urban legend? Was it? But what like?

Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Maybe it wasn't real?

Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
That don't know anything about that? Actually, you gotta say,
I don't that right?

Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
Okay, So I've only heard it secondhand. I I don't
know if it's real. So this is where I'm at
with with the.

Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
I can don't worry.

Speaker 4 (01:10:48):
I'll pick up the slack with some actual good glitches,
like the minus one level from Super Mario Brothers.

Speaker 2 (01:10:56):
Jeff, another weird urban legend that's actually real.

Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:11:00):
Is it just minus one? Is that what it's called?

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Just mius one?

Speaker 4 (01:11:03):
Just because it's that's how it looks like on the
world thing there minus one and it's a weird underwater level. Actually,
so you kind of get it through clipping through a
wall at a different level, going down a pipe in
the game doesn't know where to send you. This is
the way the code works. You actually end up in
the minus world kind of a yeah, minus world, that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:11:23):
Yeah, well, okay, I guess this counts as a glitch.

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Then the the kill screen in like pac Man.

Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
Basically glitch. I mean, yeah, yeah, we could consider that one.
It's basically just we've run out of memory or whatever.
So the game's over.

Speaker 2 (01:11:41):
Now, right, and like it it's so it's so famous.

Speaker 1 (01:11:45):
They eventually made a game based on this concept, pac
Man two fifty six, where the glitch stuff appearing on
the screen was chasing you. In the video game, you
had to outrun it, like so, I don't know, I
think that's gonna be have a chance.

Speaker 4 (01:11:58):
In a similar vein Space Invaders, the the enemy is
actually going faster as you as there are fewer of them.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
Is a glitch.

Speaker 4 (01:12:08):
They just do that because there's like less CPU or
memory or whatever, right, But it works out because they
start motting faster and if we wear them and they're
harder to hit. It's a natural difficulty curve that worked
in there. Uh so, yeah, that's the Space Invader enemy glitch,
which ended up being an iconic part of that video game.

Speaker 5 (01:12:29):
Okay, what is the most iconic t post glitch?

Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
Does anything come to mind when I say that, because
I could think of people t posing in Cyberpunk? But
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
Yourself, Can we just put a posts?

Speaker 1 (01:12:45):
You can? We just put in there, just put fantastic that.
You're right, that's exactly what we do.

Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
Yeah, there's so many good te posts. That's just the greatest.

Speaker 3 (01:12:53):
I see two people in just saying NBA Live, oh elite.
So that's a different games.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
Sure, yeah. The t pos glitch in games generally broadly,
all right, we have missing No, we have Kim Basinger,
Evil Gandhi Minus World, Kill Screen, Impact Mans, Space Invaders,
Enemy glitch, and t pose. What else?

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
Yeah, like oh yeah, sure, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:13:20):
Combos and street Fighter.

Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
I was going, why did we bring that up?

Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
Yeah, the whole combo system and street Fighter.

Speaker 4 (01:13:26):
The fact that you can cancel moves into special moves,
it was not intended.

Speaker 1 (01:13:30):
It wasn't intended. That's I didn't know that. That sounds
I should know.

Speaker 4 (01:13:34):
Yeah, and it Guy's like, oh well, this is so
hard to do no one, we'll actually do this anyways,
and then they accidentally invented a genre.

Speaker 1 (01:13:45):
That that is the best way to make a video
game these days, just accidentally stumble upon it.

Speaker 5 (01:13:50):
All right, Hot coffee is not a glitch, that's right.

Speaker 4 (01:13:52):
Now, that's just the cut content that you can access
through game Shark or something games.

Speaker 1 (01:13:56):
Right.

Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
I of all like the kind of Mimi reaction one.
There's like a bunch from those, sort of like certain developers,
there's a lot of bio our games. I always like
the one of Commander Shepherd doing like the turnback but
his head spins around.

Speaker 1 (01:14:12):
Yeah, I came to mind, all right, Yeah, that's one.

Speaker 4 (01:14:15):
Of my favorite reactionships. Sobody says something weird to have
this Commander's Shepherd like do a double take so hard
that his head completely spins. It's good stuff like that.
It kind of makes me think of something similar. Can
I just give it to you?

Speaker 1 (01:14:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:14:35):
Go shoot the uh the uh missing face uh from
Assassin's Creed Unity.

Speaker 1 (01:14:43):
Right, oh yeah, one of that, Yes, Like that was
the whole thing there, Assassin's Creed Unity.

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
Look at how many we have, Jeff, you didn't believe.

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
I didn't believe.

Speaker 1 (01:14:55):
I'm listening. Hey, I'm happy to be wrong. The show's
good again. We did it.

Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
We say the said the community center. Okay, that's not good. Crazy,
that's not safe. Might because he you.

Speaker 1 (01:15:09):
Know, yeah, someone's like someone's asking this texture pop and
count like, you know, describe it. Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:15:16):
Yeah, I mean I love the way the mount the
melting Mountains in Kong is iconic to me.

Speaker 1 (01:15:22):
That's on my personal Mount Rushmore. But that can't be
on a public Mount Rushmore. But or like early pubg
and Unreal Engine where the houses just would not load
for almost the entire match and they just be these
monstrous looking piles of polygons, Like, yeah, that was cool,
but no one else really cares about that.

Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:15:40):
What about the swing glitch from Grand Theft Auto for Yeah,
what is that?

Speaker 5 (01:15:44):
I remember hearing about that.

Speaker 4 (01:15:45):
He hit a swing set with a car something you
just like, go flying, Okay, it's absolutely flying, all right,
look super high?

Speaker 5 (01:15:56):
Okay, cool swing glitch GTA four h else.

Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
We got that?

Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Might Okay, that might be kind of running at the
end of my favorite line.

Speaker 4 (01:16:06):
Yeah, yeah, I mean should be an obsidian one or something,
or there is the Yeah, the corrupted blood from Wow
was that time that you hear about this? In World
of Warcraft there was a deep from a boss that
just actually didn't like you know, it's like, oh, it's
spreads amongst the party, but for some reason it just
never went away, and it actually spread basically across like

(01:16:29):
the entire player base.

Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
Zombie stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:16:35):
It was like studied by actual, like I don't know,
medicology professionals. It's like, how Yeah, it's like this is
this is actually a good model for how an affectious
disease might spread.

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
Yeah, Craft is.

Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
The blood corrupted Blood corrupted.

Speaker 2 (01:16:57):
That's a good That's a big one. Yeah, that's a
big one.

Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
Okay, all right, well, I uh feel pretty good about this.
We got quite a few here now. In fact, we've
got more than we can even fit on this.

Speaker 4 (01:17:10):
Let me make super Bounce from Halo two is being
brought up. I don't know too much about that one myself.

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
Yeah, I don't know. Well, I think I think we
have enough. Okay, excuse ma'am. Like I said, I think
Missing no Is is kind of a George Washington here
because it's the one that we both immediately. I think
if you were to like ask someone, it would come
up pretty Yeah, it's a lock. That's exactly right. So
let's move that here a control exit, all right? Where

(01:17:41):
do we go from there? Then?

Speaker 2 (01:17:43):
I do kind of like just t pose.

Speaker 5 (01:17:45):
In general is pretty good.

Speaker 1 (01:17:47):
Let's put te post in for now. Let's move it over, sure,
move it over. No lock there, but let's move it over.
All right? What else we got?

Speaker 4 (01:17:54):
Composit stre fr two is good because yeah, invented a
genre by accident.

Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
I do like that one. Yeah, and then I'd probably
go Assassin's Creed Unity. No face you are thinking that one?
Toothing that Warcraft one. I thought it was pretty compelling.

Speaker 4 (01:18:09):
If you wrote a story about video game glitches, your
your featured image would be that face from Assassin's Creed Unity.

Speaker 1 (01:18:16):
Yes, exactly, it's that it is iconic to this concept.
I think that's exactly right. Okay, we want to consider
any any of these others? Knock another one down. I
think we should consider Warcraft the butt Okay, yep, we'll
move I'll move it over.

Speaker 4 (01:18:32):
And the only other two, like my minus one is good,
but it's kind of similar to missing no for me
in this kind of urban legend.

Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
But it's actually true.

Speaker 4 (01:18:39):
Thing and I don't missing those actually even better than
minus one to me.

Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
Yeah, exactly, Yes, I agree my minus world is is
is cool, But yeah, I think Missing knows better and
I agree that they're in the same bucket, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:18:54):
I think Gandhi is important too.

Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
Gandhi's big Space Fighters is interesting, but I think I
think like Combos is better than Space Invaders.

Speaker 1 (01:19:02):
Yeah, I love Commander Shepherd had doing a three sixty
no scope, but.

Speaker 2 (01:19:07):
It's the funniest glitch for me.

Speaker 1 (01:19:09):
I think it's my favorite funniest and it definitely is
like it has a life of its own as a
reaction gift, You're right, and like it's the king of those.
There are a lot of those things that became reaction gifts,
and that's the king of those. But maybe it's a
little bit different than than just being a mount rushmore
of game glitches.

Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
I think there is what the composes referret to.

Speaker 4 (01:19:28):
I do see like some people say, oh, that was
a myth, and it's not it's actually not real. I
don't know if there's a consensus on that these days
yet or not.

Speaker 2 (01:19:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:19:38):
I mean, oh, okay, so people are saying that about
Gandhi though, So the Gandhi thing, tim My yourself said
nuclear Gandhi wasn't a thing. Well, that's the voice of
God for civilizations. I mean, I'm gonna be bad for
Gandhi then, okay, I mean I think they programmed Gandhi
to be new Cappy.

Speaker 1 (01:19:54):
Yeah, they just like, like that guy was actually kind
of racist, Let's make him nuclear.

Speaker 2 (01:19:59):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 5 (01:20:01):
Okay, well I'm moving that one back over.

Speaker 1 (01:20:02):
Then do we want to do the same thing to
combos because then we do have four at that point,
because if we're I'm fine with concluding it.

Speaker 4 (01:20:12):
Though, Oh God, Chack TUXI is right. Lut Cave was
pretty good. River the Lue Cave we're shooting that already
passed a little bit though, right, Yeah, it's good.

Speaker 1 (01:20:22):
It was a hot flash in the pan. But I
do kind of feel like most.

Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
People didn't understood that Luke Cave. They were like, oh,
it's a lout cave, you shoot, And people thought the
thing you got from the lu K was the cool thing.
But actually the glitch was on the bender, it wasn't
on the Lout Cave itself, so that it's not a.

Speaker 1 (01:20:41):
Good I there's a lot of things that we misunderstand
about many of these glitches.

Speaker 3 (01:20:45):
Yeah, but it's like the lu K wasn't the Luke
cave for it's not a good bug.

Speaker 4 (01:20:53):
I think we either get rid of combos because we're
not sure if it's a glitch, or we get rid
of maybe we get rod te post because it's the
only one that's not games specific, but who cares.

Speaker 1 (01:21:01):
I don't know, Yeah, I kind of. I just kind
of like that one. Yeah. I do think like visually,
if you had a mount rushmore of game glitches, you'd
have that Assassin's Creed unity face carved up there, and
you'd have all character t posing like.

Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
Yeah, you would have missing no for sure, uh huh. Yeah,
oh god, it's.

Speaker 2 (01:21:23):
Actually pretty funny. I like thinking about it a lot now.

Speaker 4 (01:21:27):
I wish it was just Commander's Shepherd's backward.

Speaker 1 (01:21:33):
No, it's just constantly spinning.

Speaker 3 (01:21:34):
Yeah, bring it back ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:21:38):
Shaun says.

Speaker 4 (01:21:38):
Kamos technically aren't a glitch, but they are unintended behavior,
So like it's a bug then, which is like, you know,
we're we're kind of saying both things.

Speaker 6 (01:21:46):
Yeah, I mean, okay, the thing is it's not a
programming error, like they just didn't account for the fact
that some people would be fast enough to cancel one
move into another. So it's not like the game is
breaking in any way. That's why I'm trying to point.

Speaker 2 (01:22:00):
Let's get right.

Speaker 6 (01:22:01):
It's like the same thing with like, you know, backwards,
a long jump. That's a physics exploit. It's not like
a bug, right.

Speaker 2 (01:22:07):
I think that's fair. I think that's fair plus something
good ones.

Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
It's something they noticed while they were making the game,
and they choose slated fly and they were.

Speaker 6 (01:22:15):
Like rock because they're like, well, it's not breaking the game.
So that's literally what one of the does I think said.
It didn't cause any bugs, so we left it in.

Speaker 1 (01:22:22):
Oh okay, well then exactly all right, So what we
have for the Mount rushmore of game glitches, and I
think this is us locking it in is missing, no
t post glitch, Assassin's Creed, Unity, no Face, Warcraft, blood
Pathology corrupted. I mean I'm gonna get rid of those
blood yeah, blood choice, just say corrupted, blood bug for Warcraft. Yeah,

(01:22:43):
there we go.

Speaker 2 (01:22:44):
World of Warcrafts.

Speaker 4 (01:22:45):
To be clear, there's many warcrafts, Jeff, There's only one
to me.

Speaker 5 (01:22:50):
World of Warcraft Corrupted, Blood bug.

Speaker 1 (01:22:52):
I like saying that. All right, there you go, that's
our mount rushmore of video game bugs. I gonna post
that online. We are going to take one more break.
When we come back. I'm gonna ask Mike what he's
been playing, and we'll wrap up the super chats. We'll
do that right after this. All right, we're back, it's

(01:23:14):
game as de sides, Mike, what have you been playing?

Speaker 4 (01:23:18):
You know, we did have SGF and we play a
lot demos and we talked about some of that on
the BombCast.

Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
I have some stories on games, but to have some more.

Speaker 4 (01:23:26):
I just want to reiterate though that I really liked
Shnoby Art Avengeance finally get to play that. Yeah, I
was very excited for that game. I love what Lizard
Cube did with Streets of Age four, and I think
that the Shanoby game absolutely rules. It looks gorgeous, it
feels so slick to play. So yeah, that just lived
up to the expectations I had. And it's just really

(01:23:48):
cool seeing Shanoby being back like this.

Speaker 1 (01:23:51):
Yep, it's it's what I want from a game like that.
Bring it back, make it look really cool, make it
feel really snappy, and yeah, and then I don't know.
Probably there's probably aspects to it that I won't be
able to know until I play the full thing, where
it's like, you know, give a variety of levels and
enemies and stuff like that, have a natural progression where
I feel like I'm meeting challenges and overcoming them. It

(01:24:15):
seems like it's gonna have all of that juice and more.

Speaker 4 (01:24:18):
Then aside for that, you know, so much more switched
to time, you know, having a ton of fun there.
I did, like spend a good amount of time with
win Laker finally on the game cube in Iss, so
that's one of my favorite games, my favorite Zelda game,
and I wasn't joining it, but you know, as your
OGX and Solica two felt so good on there to me,
it's something about wind.

Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
Waker on here feels weird to me.

Speaker 4 (01:24:40):
I'm not sure exactly what it is. I don't know
if there's some input lack. I've seen some people say
because this game is three frants per second the other
ones are sixty, So maybe that combined with the emulution
is weird. And also it just seems like everything's touchy.
Seems like the movement on leak is touchy. It feels
like that camera Analystic especially is touchy, And I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:25:01):
Like, is this did this game feel like this before
when I played it?

Speaker 4 (01:25:04):
I don't remember if there's like something happened with like
the polling rate of like reading the analog inputs or
something like that that's just like way off or something.

Speaker 1 (01:25:12):
Because you're right, I thought it was touchy too. I
thought there was a relatively large dead zone on the
right stick for the camera, and then as soon as
I would get into the movement, it was just flying
to the left and the right. Yeah, you know you
mentioned it before I tried it, so maybe maybe you
got my head a little bit, But I don't think so.
I do think it's touchy.

Speaker 4 (01:25:29):
Maybe should have say a thing. Yeah, I don't know,
because I mean people were saying it. People weren't chreesting. Yeah,
there's just this bad input leg Now. Some people were
saying it's just a problem. Some people are saying it's
because of the thirty fps thing. It's like prime Me's like,
I get thirty fps, can feel a bit more sluggish.

Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
Something feel like something feels weird to me here.

Speaker 4 (01:25:46):
So I don't know if there's an emulation thing I
wonder if it's something that will be tuned or not.
I could still play this game like this. I get
this case still looks very good. I still love all
the sailing stuff. I love just the character designs and
all that. But yeah, I think felt a little while
again just because Soul Caver two and F zero jets
feel immaculate still, they feel very good on.

Speaker 5 (01:26:08):
Nso yes, I kind of feel perfect.

Speaker 4 (01:26:10):
Yeah, I feel perfect, So something something is, something's off there.

Speaker 1 (01:26:14):
I think I did get my game controller out. I
had had it and I had him been playing F
zero with that. Now that I am, it's like, oh god,
having the analog triggers is so good with that game.
I really just was having a good time again. So yeah,
fantastic stuff we did. We did play quite a bit
of switch to today, trying out the game share thing

(01:26:35):
with my or with Dan sharing uh Mario Super Mario
World three D or three D World. And then also
a game, yeah, game club what is it called? I
can never remember that name of that game, Clubhouse Games,
Clubhouse Games. Thank you uh doing that, And it's like,
oh wow, this works way better than I was expecting
it to.

Speaker 5 (01:26:53):
Including Clubhouse Games.

Speaker 1 (01:26:54):
It's like yeah, you know, you have to start game
share from within the game because the game understands how
to present itself in this mode, so that when you're
playing Texas Hold'en Poker and four player, everyone gets their
own screen and only you see your cards. It's like,
I man, that I wasn't expecting it to be that
seamless to work that well. So a cool feature. That
kind of stuff, you know, has been on other platforms.

(01:27:16):
PlayStation has a remote play together. I don't think it
works that way. It's like that is definitely just sharing
the screen. This team has the same thing. I think
that's just sharing the screen. So this does feel like
a step up from those other offerings. At the same time,
how frequently frequently will people use this, I don't know,
but I mean, I just having the option for some
of those games is better than nothing. When you can

(01:27:39):
buy one copy of something like Mario Party and then
play online with people without them having to own the
copy and just share it with them, I really appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (01:27:46):
So that was cool to see and have it be
so seamless.

Speaker 1 (01:27:51):
I'm kind of like on board with a lot of
the what I thought would be bullshit features of the
Switch to that and game chat.

Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
It's like, all this stuff is working for me.

Speaker 4 (01:28:00):
Uh did you we didn't try using a mouse in Fortnite?
They did it for a moment, then went back. Yeah,
I thought Fortnite was running great on switch to expected
to street Fighter six felt very good on there. I
was having a great time playing that. I'd like to
do some more of that.

Speaker 3 (01:28:17):
Do you say I have that? Do use them? The
movement controllers, the controls, the modern motion controls, motion control
there you go. I couldn't think of the war.

Speaker 1 (01:28:29):
Yeah, controls they were in there.

Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
Yeah, they added it. You can't shake your controller to
do the the eye and that kind of stuff. The
driving pith.

Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
No, no, no, I don't have that turned on. I don't
think I ever.

Speaker 3 (01:28:43):
Will you get the offended for that for that question?
That was weird.

Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
He hates motion controls, he hates wag.

Speaker 4 (01:28:51):
Yeah, the most play with most controls. And it's a
funny joke. I'm like, you should stop joking.

Speaker 1 (01:29:00):
Yeah that's all been, and yeah you should. You should
talk to a priest. I like Street Fighter on on
switch in general because the buttons being separate for the
D pad make it easier to do inputs like it's
a leverage game pad controller a little bit, and I
was doing some street Fighter three and that updated street
Fighter thirtieth collection, a thirtieth anniversary collection, and that felt great.

(01:29:23):
I was doing street Fighter six with the pro pad
and this deepad and that was working just fine. I
was having a good time with that. So yeah, street
Fighter six ran awesome. It looks fantastic, and it's like
that that's something where it's like, okay, well at the
very least, and yeah, it's street Fighter, but Ari Engine
is going to be right at home on the switch
to another very encouraging sign. Yeah, I'm just kind of

(01:29:46):
I'm digging the switch to Overall, I am I'm like
dipping my toes into a lot of different stuff. And
that's why I was happy with that stream today where
we could do a lot of that. I did get
like Survival Kids. Isn't that the name of the game.
I might try that a little bit, see see what
there is to it. But yeah, I mean I haven't
spent any time with that. I did get Cyberpunk. I'll
try that a little bit. But overall, I'm like, I

(01:30:07):
just want to see how these games run, and then
I'll pick one or two. I'm probably gonna stick with
the game cube games if I'm going to play a
lot of anything. Like I did start doing the the
weapon Master mode in Soul Caliber two because I.

Speaker 5 (01:30:17):
Had a lot of fun playing with that with you
guys today.

Speaker 4 (01:30:20):
I was just looking because like I was like, oh,
resuval To remake should be on switch To, and I'm like,
was it on switch one?

Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
There was a.

Speaker 4 (01:30:26):
Cloud version at HULD were native, but apparently a lot
of the like other resieval games that were native, you know,
like we hadri four, zero six, five, Revelations one and two.

Speaker 2 (01:30:36):
Those are all running at sixty now, so that's nice.
Are they really okay?

Speaker 1 (01:30:40):
I thought you were to say they're locked at thirty?

Speaker 4 (01:30:41):
Okay, that's all the one that's a lot that thirty
is already remake is a lot that thirty still unfortunately,
So I hope maybe they do something there. But I
kind of want to play those Revelations games now, so
I might need to do that.

Speaker 1 (01:30:52):
That would be a good place to play the Revelation
of games, so that that would be really nice.

Speaker 2 (01:30:57):
What did you think of Sonic Shadow Generations.

Speaker 1 (01:31:00):
I thought that, you know, I'm not really a three
D Sonic guy, and I was kind of like having
a difficulty getting on, like doing what it wanted me
to do.

Speaker 2 (01:31:09):
But when I was I thought that was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (01:31:11):
Like that was the best expression of what I thought
a three D Sonic game would be that I've played
so far. I think I didn't play a lot of it,
and I'm you know, I like I like Sonic Frontiers,
so this is this is very differentrom that. I guess
there's levels that are pretty similar to how this felt
in Sonic Frontiers. But I enjoyed what I played a bit,
and you know, I think it's like doing the right

(01:31:33):
stuff in terms of tone for Shadow being such a
like a serious badass character.

Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
In the world.

Speaker 1 (01:31:40):
Yeah, everal try hard. They have fun with that. I
like that. So yeah, I thought that was pretty pretty impressive.
I was happy with it. I know that that is
a game that you legitimately like. In the Shadow levels
you thought were pretty good. Yeah, And I mean I
liked Original Generations. I thought like in some ways as
a little overrated. They think some of the level designs
aren't great, and if something about the boost Sonic setup,

(01:32:01):
I think it's just a little too fast and slippery.
But the Shadow levels, like they kind of like pull
that back a little bit, so it feels a bit
more like Sonic adventure style games, which is different than
what we had with the boost level games. Then I
just think there's some of the best three D Sonic
levels that we have ever gotten.

Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
So yeah, I enjoyed quite a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:32:18):
Yep. Beyond that, I haven't had much time to like
really dive into anything too hardcore. It has just been
trying stuff out and switch to you know, plan is
more clear obscure on the Steam deck now that it's
apparently running better on there. Yeah, I want to do that.
I was playing more Battlefront two on Steam.

Speaker 2 (01:32:39):
That's really fun. Kind of maybe I think we should
probably make a.

Speaker 1 (01:32:42):
Like a T and T or something for that at
some point. Battlefront two. Yeah, that's great. Yeah, And that's
just the mood I'm in right now. It's like I'm
not necessarily looking in for that one game, just having
fun jumping around to a bunch of other stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:32:54):
Oh god, the Star Wars Battlefront two on Steam? What
did I own that on?

Speaker 1 (01:32:59):
You had hon that on the E e A Origin
platform or whatever they call it now EA play. I
think they got rid of e A play as well.
I think it's just called the e A app.

Speaker 2 (01:33:09):
Let's let's have a battle for two on my wish
list right now.

Speaker 4 (01:33:12):
I wait for a sale then, even though I'm not
I want to play it on Steve so much more
than that.

Speaker 1 (01:33:18):
Let's wait on sale.

Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
Hello, there we go?

Speaker 1 (01:33:21):
All right? Hey, Well, with that in mind, and with
the thought that this this show could break at any moment,
because OBS has really just been a pain in my
ass in the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (01:33:30):
Mike, why don't you read the rest of the super chats?

Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
Yeah, Eggar Marino says, Otaku Mike is awesome. Thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:33:36):
Gwenn the Hunter says, got the spoon Heaven's shirt feels great.
The g B logo mister Silks Spoon wears is a
nice touch. And my wife says I'm finally handsome enough
for her, and went, oh good. I'm glad people are
getting their merchan I haven't gotten like mining yet.

Speaker 2 (01:33:49):
Maybe tomorrow. So yeah, I want to start wearing something
for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:33:51):
I'm also glad to hear that shirt is high quality, Like,
you know, the vendor I was using over here was
always using those cheap ass shirts, and we we we
least at the very least fulfilled engine or whatever it's called,
has some good options for high quality shirts.

Speaker 4 (01:34:07):
Scott says, how important is the running animation to you
in a third person game? Could significantly affect your dreatments
with general expiration in a game. I don't know if
I ever really thought about too much, Scott. I guess
it was really bad.

Speaker 1 (01:34:18):
I notice, but I like a really good run animation,
even in like a first person game where I'm seeing
like a multiplayer game where I'm seeing other people run.
I remember always thinking, like, man, the animations and call
of duty are really good and really helps sell everything
that's happening in this game. And it's like, you know,
they really do look like they're mantling over this stuff.
So yeah, that's definitely something I've noticed and appreciated before.

Speaker 4 (01:34:41):
Chris Pratt says, please do not forget minus quote from
y Arcade Memories. Well, Chris Son, we remembered it. We
didn't put it in if on list, so sorry, hope
you can forgive us.

Speaker 2 (01:34:52):
YEP are bad.

Speaker 1 (01:34:54):
Chris Son.

Speaker 4 (01:34:55):
Flebotron says, being a three am boy over here in
Germany clearly karma winning me to finally send a super chat.
Hope you guys can make it over here again. English? Yeah,
I know personally, Like I'm not sure if game's come
is gonna happen for me this year?

Speaker 2 (01:35:11):
I don't, but I don't know if anyone's going. We'll see.
We had I had a great time there last year.
It was a great time exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
They reached out to us pretty late in the game
last year. So maybe that's gonna happen again this year.
But you're right, we're busy boys. We'll see if we
can pull it off. Did you yell? Did you yell?
Jen English? When you saw her? Everyone's wondering, Oh, that
would been funny.

Speaker 2 (01:35:30):
That would been funny.

Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
I don't think she would have found it very funny.

Speaker 4 (01:35:33):
Actually no, I think I just told her that I
finished her game recently and funnel was very good.

Speaker 3 (01:35:37):
We need to hang out with d asked Its, remember.

Speaker 4 (01:35:40):
Yeah, I remember dj as tits. We could forget what
else she's doing. So Oprah career is going. Well, I'm
gonna look that up after this. After I read this
one from a drum kit. It says sneaking this one
in at the end, about to finish Mind's Eye, and
it is not worth it.

Speaker 2 (01:35:53):
I know you're both very surprised.

Speaker 4 (01:35:55):
I think that is actually kind of a swag move,
actually beating Mind's Eye.

Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
I'm kind of impressed.

Speaker 1 (01:36:01):
I agree. Oh my god, this game, this is my
breaking Yeah. I think it's like fifteen to twenty hours
or something like that. I bet, I bet if I
was gonna say it. But if you just mainline, it's
faster than that. But is there anything else other to
like to do other than mainline? It doesn't sound like it,
so yeah, maybe, Uh, the drum Kids spent fifteen hours
just beating that game, all right? Any other super chats Mike.

Speaker 4 (01:36:25):
Now, dj Asset's still posted on Instagram. Looks like she's
still flourishing, So good job teaching.

Speaker 3 (01:36:29):
Oh shit, I forgot to talk about that. Oh right,
your game, Yeah yeah, it's just a really good the
base Builder Survival that has really.

Speaker 2 (01:36:37):
Good oritage is what you're talking about, right, Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:36:39):
The Alters from eleven Bit Studios is the This world
is my people. That's the kind of I'll talk more
next week because Chef Computer is breaking, so it's really good.
If you like that type of game, I super recommend
that game. She's base building and Build managing resources and
that kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:36:57):
Cool.

Speaker 1 (01:36:58):
It was very I just excellently hit F eleven on
one window. So it's it's obs that's breaking and that's it.
Although yeah, that could break it any moment again. Yeah,
I want to the alters? Is that is that just
shoot out? Like I can go to the store and
get it right now.

Speaker 3 (01:37:11):
It's out in a couple of hours.

Speaker 1 (01:37:13):
Okay, all right, I will. I'll track that down and
we'll play that scent and then try to get a
code for Jan, because I think Jan sounds like it
sounds like really the main guy.

Speaker 3 (01:37:21):
Is called Jen, and you you create. The thing about
that game is that you create altors of your personality,
so you have a bunch of gen. You have the
gen like mechanic Jen minor Gen that kind of stuff.
So it's really fun cool.

Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
Yeah, well, we'll talk about that more next week that
I want to spend some time with it, and I'll
have some questions for you. I think. All right, thank you,
Christian I, thank you, Sean, Mike Manati, thank you. Why
don't you tell people where they can find you on
the internet?

Speaker 4 (01:37:47):
Oh, you know, Giant Bomber Games beat streaming, Twitch dot
Tv special code gotta be starting Sekero soon.

Speaker 2 (01:37:54):
I'm thinking maybe Sunday.

Speaker 4 (01:37:55):
Oh that is exciting to hear. Okay, yep, but it
come out a bit be clear of scare. Time to
finally play pecar Row on the stream. So yeah, uh,
Secaron naughty?

Speaker 2 (01:38:08):
Does that work?

Speaker 4 (01:38:09):
Yeah, Secarni there's no sacchow, that's for sure, Koto.

Speaker 1 (01:38:19):
Figure it out.

Speaker 2 (01:38:20):
Kind of kind of.

Speaker 1 (01:38:24):
Okay, we're getting We're getting further away, I think, but
I'm okay with that.

Speaker 2 (01:38:28):
Oh but we forget about that.

Speaker 4 (01:38:29):
And I played the Sega Genesis hit Stitching and called
Stitching with Mitchen Mitch.

Speaker 2 (01:38:34):
Yeah, Mitch, Mitch is stitching. Yeah, Mitch is dich.

Speaker 3 (01:38:38):
Mitchell is stitching.

Speaker 1 (01:38:40):
Uh yeah, fantastic Sunday, you say, Okay, I'm gonna tune
in for that. That sounds like a good time. Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:38:45):
I was listening to a you know, lightly older.

Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
Nineties Disney episode where you guys were ranking all the
lands in Disneyland, and I just come home from Disneyland.
But you guys did a pretty good job. I was
like on the same page for a lot of that stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:38:58):
Uh cars, Wow, that's good stuff. That is rule.

Speaker 1 (01:39:04):
It's so surprisingly good.

Speaker 4 (01:39:07):
So what you think about this movie, It doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (01:39:09):
What you think about it. I don't really think about
those movies at all. It was and I'm like, I
