Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hit record for three.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
All right, five four three, it's the Internet. You're busy,
(00:34):
let's do this. Welcome to the Game As Decide the
Sides podcast. This is the podcast where we decide everything
about the world of video games, so you never have
to think for yourself.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
I'm your host Jeff Grubb, and with me.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Is Mike Manati.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
In today's episode, death Stranding two is weird as Buck
remanage scores one million copies sold. Capcom showed a teeny
tiny bit more Resident Evil nine. First, Mike Minatti, how
are you doing.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
I'm good.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
I'm good. I actually like I didn't take I didn't
like fall asleep, but I laid down for like an
hour and even that just helped so much. I feel
really ready to go right now. But who cares about me?
Apparently more GameCube minisote games have dropped. Let's go find
out in real time.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
All right, how are we doing this? You're just gonna
read They just gonna tell us in chat? What are
we gonna do?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
I tell you this is a Twitter Nintendo Uh oh yeah, hey, Jeff,
what was your guess?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
My guess was Super Mario Strikers, because it's the one
that they were letting people play, or it was showing
up in the menu and people would go, look at
the GameCube thing.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
When on July third, Super Mario Strikers, it's coming to
Nintendo GameCube.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Last day before. We're gonna need it the most to
save this country. Super Mario Strikers.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
All right, yeah cool, yeah, I would say, yeah, I've
not played that much of this. We kind of talked
about that fantasy mand I'm like looking at these weirdly
like animated GameCube Peach of Daisy models in this e
tail that it's so strange, but um hm, this.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Coulda be fun.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
People like this game a lot me and you liked
that switch one that everybody hates.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Uh yep, I love that game. Yeah, I love this game.
It's a it's a really really good game. So uh yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Am hopefully they are dialing in the the GameCube input issues,
I guess.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Is that what it was.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
But there's a little bit of there's there's input lag.
What was really bothering me, especially in wind Waker, was
the analog stick sensitivity is way too touchy. So like
the input lack stuff. I understand, like that's just a
problem with it. It could be difficult. I hope that they
fix that the analog stick thing, like that's just adjust
some numbers, right, like, you know you can fix that
(02:35):
right now, I assume.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Also, uh, Cammy was very hand Yeah bangs you're saying
apparently that's this is a reference to some old artwork
vacation Jason Finale posted on.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Blue Morrow Let's go the Goat.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
So that the Cammi an Chollie outfits come from some
like some old super street fighter to kind of like
fun summer art thing. It is like literally those costumes
and even the very you know, uh Thanksgiving Turkey ten
that she's got there, right yep.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, yeah, well that's fun. Uh, Mike, I'm tired. I'm done,
Like me have helped man, Yeah, I would have loved to.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
I had to do the trash and yeah, oh boy,
but hey, I'm here, I'm ready to go.

Cayle tell you that she spent three hours beating the
last boss in that game last night last night.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Oh wow, she got there. Yeah, we'll see how long
it takes me. We'll see what she said.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Uh, it was like fifty five tries or something like that,
three hours.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
She says, if you do it faster, it will upset her.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Okay, I've done some of the fights relatively quickly. The
Lightning guy Sairo I dated in two tries.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Two tries. Yep, that's impressive.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
I got the monkey the first time in like four
I got two monkeys and like three or something like that.
But uh, but mine butterfly took me like forty though,
so you know it can I can't hit a road.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
You never you never know. Yeah, exactly. That's how prom goes.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Where it's like you're gonna have the bosses that you
drive with the bosses you don't that last boss will
be difficult.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
No matter what.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
But well, unless you have a god like god luck
early run, which always as possible.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Can always happen.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
We'll see.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
I'm not gonna be it does weekend, which is a bummer,
but oh really it's a shame.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Well, I'm going to have I actually I have a trip.
I always You're going to have to leave here at
like three am, and I'm trying to say if I
go to sleep at all tonight, but just go to
the airport.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Well, how about this, let's get the show on the road. Uh.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Big topic of the week, Uh death stranding to you
on the beach reviews. It came out, people are into it. Uh,
I'm trying to like trying to gauge you, Mike, are
you going to spend time with this game now?
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Is sure?
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Are you gonna like wait until until you see if
it like really sticks around?
Speaker 1 (06:20):
People seem pretty pretty positive on it.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
No, No, I want to try it, Like I hope it
was evident that like I my whole like skeptical fighty
dynasts of the game stopped real fast once it was
actually out. I'm not gonna be a guy who didn't
play the game and be like, well I think it
looks kind of you're.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
You're just kind of uh fed not he fed up
might not even be the word. You're just a little
bit over Koach must stick. I think, yeah, a little bit.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
But you know, also, I haven't really played all of
these games in a while, so maybe, you know, I
start this one up, I'll get into it. I definitely
want to find a good recap of that first game.
And you know, you know, so I'm like, not that
I'm that worried about the story jet. I don't want
to be deletely clueless. I want to at least start
off in a place of relative understanding, right So, but
(07:06):
you know, again, there are other things that I am
playing like I'd rather be playing more Suckero, I have
to be honestly, I've been kind of slowly toiling away
at Doom. The Dark Age is still also, but I
don't know, I want to get to I know you've
been playing at least a bit of it, right, yeah,
a little.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Bit of it.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
It's you know, one of those things where it's hard
to go get on the TV with the console late
at night after everything else is going on, when I'm tired.
So I've been playing Survival Kids a lot recently. We'll
not talk about that at the end. Played some more
of that this evening for like ten minutes before the show.
But yeah, I mean, I'm I'm into what's happening with
test Stranding too. Dan showed me a bunch of a
(07:48):
quick look and everything he showed me was like, Yeah,
I want to do more of this, and it's you know,
it's still death stranding, but I think they've just it
seems like they made the combat combat side of it
more exciting, more exhilarating, just more streamlined, and that makes
everything else better because now you have this like to
the two sides of the coin that you can bounce
back and forth between between that and building up the
roads and delivering stuff and all that looks just as
(08:11):
good as ever as well.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
So yeah, I'm gonna be spending a lot of time
with it.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Any like any part of you like it's like, are
surprised that it did or that it was able to
pull off a ninety one on Open Critic or I think.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
It's a ninety ninety, But anytimes something gets a ninety,
you have to take notice and be ye impressed by that.
My only pet Peeve Jeff my Oly pet peeve. This
is any game that scores that well is when somehow
people still talk about as if the reception is mixed. Yeah,
it's not mixed.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
It's not mixed.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
So yes, there's some people who like it less than others.
It got a ninety average.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Yep, you just you just don't do that with and
then be anywhere near mixed. That's not what's happening there.
There are the outliers. That's a different thing, all right.
Rematches sold a million copies. I think a peek has
sold two million copies. But yeah, rematch, we were having
fun playing that the other night. I'm I'm into that.
I'm really looking forward to.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Going up against mid Max tomorrow and John bumb in
that game out.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
I'm a little bummed I'm not going to be there
for that because I think I was like I to
my surprise, I've even been playing this game a little
bit on my own stuff. Actually, I'm liking him more
than I thought I would. People are talking about this game,
and I didn't think it was gonna be for me.
But no, it's a it's a good time. It's just
kind of really it's not as immediately intuitive as a
Rocket League for sure, there's a bit more complexity there,
(09:27):
but once you get your head wrapped around maybe the
one extra layer of that baseline complexity, there's a lot
of complexity Rocket League. From the simple mechanics here, there's
maybe more mechanics, right, so you see all that depth. Yeah, yeah,
skill Floor is the way of putting what do you do?
It's just really fun. You could do neat things and
you have your pop offs, and it's fun playing with friends.
(09:47):
So yeah, I'm not surprised that this game is doing well.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Did you see them, you know, you talk about some
of these arguments doing well.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
I saw fire Breaks said they had a million players,
and I was like, man, that's surprises me. We were
looking at the Steam charts and it was like two hundred.
Now the game is on game Pass and Place of Plus.
I guess that's maybe doing a lot of.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, I mean, you know, maybe it's one of those
things where it's like, you know, Peak does two million
copies sold on just Steam, right, and it doesn't need
the consoles, and maybe a game like FBC Firebreak, it's
just going to do better on consoles than on PC,
especially since it's not free on PC. I mean, you
know Rematch is on game Pass and it is also
(10:31):
selling on Steam, but maybe that game is the kind
of game that does do that and FBC is a
different kind of It's possible, you know, I'm.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Looking at it right now. It's just a game with
one hundred and thirty six concurrence. It's just hard for
me to be like, that's going to be a hit.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
No.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
I mean, let's be clear, it's not doing what it
needs to do, like it like, to be a successful game,
you also need to have success on Steam. And I
bet a lot of those one million players are people
who tried it on game Pass and Station Plus and
put it down very very quickly because it's weird.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
It's easy to try a game.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Cumbers I mean again, we liked it.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
I enjoyed it.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Now, I'm certain Now the thing, if you're on game Pass,
Amplus of Plus, you got paid to some extent sure
of the game like this, you're kind of hoping that
you're gonna keep making money from so you know, there's
any woe where this is some disaster for them. I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
I mean, I'm sure it's like on the lower end
of expectations, but I bet taking that PlayStation and Microsoft
money was and really honestly being able to get a
deal from both almost feels like the industry going like,
let's let's shore up Remedy a little bit after what
might have happened with.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Well was it control to or not control to?
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Uhlan Allen Wake two that Epic published, and Epic might
have been like, oh, you know, we're kind of not interested,
Like that game sold limitedly because it wasn't available on
Steam for a long time.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
It's an available on Steam now, I don't think.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
I think it's still is not on Steam Allen Wake.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
And they're not working with Epic again, which to me
just tells the story of you know, they didn't make
the money they were hoping to make with that one.
Maybe everyone's like, let's just give them a big payday
for FBC. Let them get to work. The industry is
better off with Remedy and it Ali two is a
Game of the Year contender for a lot of people.
So yeah, maybe they got enough money from that game
to make it all make sense. I hope so, and
then hopefully they're able to get back and try some
(12:22):
other stuff. And if they try something like FBC again,
you know, someday they'll have learned a lot of lessons.
I think that's a studio that seems like it's always
learning a lot of lessons. So yeah, I'm hopeful for
their future and not necessarily for FBC itself.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
You have games on seams. Have you looked at the
summer sale at all that starts?
Speaker 2 (12:43):
No, I haven't had a time really to peek in there,
but you know, I know it started anything that you've
picked up.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
I picked up a few things, just like some cheap
things that I I'll just tell you. I got Ye's
one and two chronic Coles I have that. I got
house Flipper that seems kind of fun. I got the
Crash Bandicoot Insane Trology, which I think, I you know,
I have access to that in other places but not PC,
and it was very cheap, so like.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
What the heck?
Speaker 3 (13:11):
And then Blasphemous, which I haven't played Blaspemis or Blasphemous too.
I like Metroy Vanez is supposed to be good. I've
always been a little bit thrown off because, you know,
like the vibe and art style isn't necessarily my thing,
But I bet I'll have a good time with it.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Yeah, I think Klipic likes blasts blasphemous a lot. I
think that's one of his games.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
And he's an edgy boy.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Yeah, absolutely, yeah, I've been seeing I've been watching as
people have been talking about a little bit, but not
sure exactly what the big deal is that everyone's you know,
jumping on or anything like that. Yeah, then Resident Evil
Requiem Official, let's hear earlier. What is this video exactly?
It's it's just the gameplay overview thing that they show.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Yeah, it's just you know, yeah, yeah, so you know,
we had that light today, which you know, I think,
like you know, the likes of me and you, and
I bet a lot of our audience understand is that
this isn't actually a place where Capcom is going to
announce new games. Now, there's always the hope, but we know, yeah,
you know, I guess anything can happen in the wacky
world of the Internet. But you know, they showed up
(14:12):
more pragmata.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
I guess.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
I was also surprised that they only showed that much
of residue Rickliam and I know there's like opening some
site that's gonna have some more, but you know, me
and you we saw that behind closed doors theater demo.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yeah, and this looked like just snippets of that. Maybe
I don't think. I don't see much anything that I've
I haven't seen before myself.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Right exactly. So I thought maybe they're just going to
show the whole demo that they showed us. Maybe, in
my wildest uams, they're going to show something kind of
else from the game. You know, a lot of people
think there might be a second playable character. You know,
we've only seen this sort of hospital or medical facility
setting really and we know there's going to be more
to this revisiting Raccoon City bit than just going in there.
(14:53):
But that game does look cool. It's we have a
date for it. It's coming on February. It's not that away.
It was a lot of Monster Hunter stuff though in
that presentation. And I get it that game has gone
to like what mostly negative Steam user reviews right now,
a lot of people are not super had happy with
the amount of content. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (15:13):
To be honest, I do think they care about that,
but I don't think the decisions or what everything they're
doing now or everything they show is like influenced by
that and like in any way, shape or form, like
they have this rollmat for ages ago and maybe and
in the future, are they gonna like try to address
the Native's reviews unseen? But everything they show today is
has been like in the books for like a long time.
(15:36):
They always dished with the most of the Hunter I'm usually.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Skeptical of, like, oh, how much do you like that?
Care about some noise? But it's at overwhelmingly negative recent reviews,
like they don't want that on Steam now. The thing
is most of that is, you know, it's about the content,
that's about how heavy that game is. The game just
often does not run well, even on like some of
the beefiest computers, So I don't know what they can
do with that. I don't know. It just feels to
(16:03):
me like Monster Hunter Wilds is in a weird place,
and seeing twenty minutes about a couple of new monsters
and a Fender guitar collaboration wasn't exactly getting me pumped
to go back in there.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
It's also the kind of thing that's like perfect fodder
for continued negative reviews on Steam, right, like, oh wants
to care about Fender and Vendor guitars?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
But they can't even make the game run good.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
No, but they also had in monsters, like versions of monsters, monsters,
and like they're also that in the the truan smoke
for the weapons death. What's the thing I wanted for
a long time. So that's cool, Like a bunch of shits.
So it's like, I don't, I know, you're looking at
the steam thing makes us feel like this is like
a response to that. But no, he's just you just sure.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Yeah, whether whether it is or not, like that is
a problem of some kind, right, I don't know. If
there's some taliant one it's a problem, and I bet
they're thinking about that. But yeah, I mean I think
Pragmata is actually looking like more interesting that I ever
thought it would. I actually am kind of excited to
try that game. I know you played it at SGF.
(17:06):
I saw Sliver of Hope. It's a secret megative man game,
mostly because I think it's sure it is a bit Jeff,
but of course.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah it's I like, I, like I said,
I enjoyed playing that game. It's uh what I now
when I see it, I'm like, oh, yeah, that looks
cool because I know how it plays Uh, you know
right now, it's like one pretty good trick, and I think,
like I see like an obvious pathway for them to
expand on that trick. And again that that trick is
that as you are in combat shooting things, to make
(17:35):
your shooting effective, you do a quick hacking mini game
on each enemy. And that's what the girl on your
back is doing, the little android girl, she's doing magic hacking.
And it's like, oh yeah, if they just sort of
introduce fun little gimmicks on that, like make like one
of them like a rhythm game or something like that,
there's there's a lot of possibility to just make that
feel really engaging.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
And I was digging it quite a bit, so yeah,
pretty cool. Well, and as you said, though, we're not
surprised that we just got stuff that we've seen before.
They told us what they were going to show as
well beforehand, and it's the stuff that was in that
showcase was the stuff they said would be in that showcase.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Big surprise.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
It's such like it's almost a burden for Captain because
they have so many beloved franchises and you know, even
like a lot of them do come back. Actually there
is a new only Musha coming back. There is a
new O Kami coming back. But you're always going to
be It's always gonna be people like where is the
new Mega Man, Where is the new Taino Crisis and
things like that, so people, you know, it's a little
bit of that people always want more kind of thing.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Uh oh wow, Okay.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Xbox faces major layoffs forts as studio turn ten at risk.
Microsoft is facing yet another wave of layoffs, something we
reported on yesterday, and according to rumors, it could involve
as many as two thousand positions within the Xbox division
for the reports now suggest that Turn ten, the team
behind Forts and Motorsport, maybe among those hit the hardest.
(18:58):
That last Forts and Motorsport game does feel like it
came and went. They took extra time on it, kind
of like resetting it up for this new generation that happened,
and then you know, it was Forts and Motorsport and
there were still there were some other issues with it
of like you know, the structure and the way that
it handled micro transactions. As always, God, those franchises always
have those problems, but uh, the biggest sins just seemed
(19:19):
to be like people didn't really care that that game
came out, and.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
That one did just come and go like there's usually
I know that Horizon has gotten most of the excitement lately,
but people still seem like they showed up a bit
for for some must But I think it even happen
a little bit grant to Trismo seven, which also had
its own issues with the DLC, but you know, grant
Arismo on the older places and consoles was one of
the biggest deals, and then yep, seven happened on different world.
(19:44):
It's a very different world, I guess, But boy, that
would suck because that's clearly a talented studio, even if
I don't necessarily love the I mean that game if
Forts was so important for Xbox, especially in the three
sixty days for so long and kind of you know,
showing off the tech and kind of going head to
head on PlayStation on kind of their biggest franchise, right.
(20:04):
It was sort of a ballsy move and they actually
did really well for a long time. Anybody preferred motorsports
to grant Arisma.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Fort's a motorsport like four or five, six like that
all that. I put a ton of those, reviewed all
of them and was just super into the way they
felt and they really welcoming too, someone like me who's
like likes the idea of cars, but it's not a
car person by any stretch. And it was like, yeah,
this is this is a really solid game. And then
of course Horizon is fantastic, but that's you know, that's playground.
(20:34):
So yeah, it's this one is like one like oh
really okay, So they had that miss and it doesn't
even necessarily feel like a miss because it was a
bad game. It's just one no one cared about. So
and they're going to pay the price. I guess that stinks.
And you're right, it's such a legacy for Xbox that
it feels especially weird.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
All right.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
I am worried about all this though, because I mean,
you know, there could be a studios just closing and
it's you know, I don't know, I say, there, I wonder, well, God,
what's gonna app into a ninja theory?
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Are they okay?
Speaker 3 (21:01):
Just because they have such sort of important tech over
there and that's gonna help them, But remember Bleeding Edge
before that, so I don't know. The whole thing is
kind of scary and just wow, they just keep keep
doing these layoffs and their hardware bets are more partnerships
and them doing exciting things, even though they say, you
(21:23):
know VR headsets, baby, Yeah, yeah, yeah right, let's just
put an Xbox. LetGo on a VR headset and on
a rag ally everything's an Xbox.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Apparently. There was also that Arc System Works.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
I should finish watching, Yeah, five minutes ago, and not
a lot of new stuff. Yeah, like interest in the well.
The first game they show was pretty cool, called Dear
Me Coma.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
I was, yeah, I was gonna ask, what is this
the one that's kind of like, uh, Hotel Dusk a
little bit.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
It is, yeah, kind of. It has all animation known
with rotoscope. Yeah, animation, Yeah, it's it looks.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
This looks a lot like Hotel Desk actually.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
Yeah yeah, and and and and they show the behind
the scene and everything looks pretty interesting. It's an interactive adventure,
so that's what they show. They also show a bubble
bubble game that.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Looks yeah, there's a new bubble bubble. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
I popped off when I heard that, and I'm looking
at it looks like ship. It looks like yeah, sorry,
it's pretty rough. Yeah, that's pretty rough.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
How do you make a bubble bubble that looks like ship.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
It looks it is city it is.
Speaker 5 (22:32):
It looks like a mobile acid Flip game.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Yeah, that's again, it looks like the mobile game of
like classic franchises people are making in two thousand and nine.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
It looks rough.
Speaker 5 (22:42):
Yeah, and then no new Blast Blue. That's what we're waiting.
No news for like Marble Tones Eitheruke Ishi new project
is an action game called Dammond and Baby. It's like
a isometric action game that doesn't look very like appealing
(23:03):
to me at all, but yeah, it's just done. Then
double drove on the should double Dragon again the revival?
So does it?
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (23:11):
All right?
Speaker 2 (23:12):
And then finally, well, how do you feel about fifty
cent is bell rog Jason Momoa as Blanca and apparently
Roman reigns as.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
A Kuma for the Street Fighter movie? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Whatever, like whatever, Yeah, to go make a new Street
Fighter movie, Good luck with that.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
It feels exactly like the casting for the original Street
Fighter movie. Like it's like, it's like if you were
to make the Street that Street Fighter movie back then
today and you couldn't use those actors because of time,
but you wanted to make it feel exactly the same.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
This is the kind of casting you would do.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
You know, but that one is fun. I don't think
this movie is gonna be fun.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Oh no, no, for sure.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
I don't think this movie is gonna be as good
as that movie, for sure.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
But it's take it seriously problem.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
But I just I don't get like how you do
like try to do that same thing and like kind
of with the understanding you're probably gonna do it worse.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
I always I think I say this all the time,
but like, fighting games are the most adapted genre into
movies for some reason, even though it makes the least
amount of sense because their stories are usually nonsense with
way too many characters. So I don't know why we
keep doing.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
This and they never just make it blood Sport, which
is like the move the movie about a fighting game
tournament like basically.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Was the first world of combat. Like that was like fine, is.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
Yeah the fighting the fighting games were based on that
movie almost, you know?
Speaker 3 (24:39):
So oh sure, I mean, oh yeah, for sure the Dragon,
So it's just make the movie under the Dragon.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
Sure was.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
I was gonna say something else about this cast, but
now I can't remember.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
It doesn't matter, don Isa is mechi joke?
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yeah, I listen.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I'm always looking to make a Sindia's Michi joke, of course,
like that's my life.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
I won't do that in this moment.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
All right, let's take a break when we come back
super chats.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Then when we come back after a break.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
After that, we got a little game, and then we'll
talk about what we've been playing. That's the rest of
the show. We'll do all that starting right after this.
All right, we are back, Mike Manati. We'll get in
the super chats right here in a second, but just
want everyone know we're doing like a top Games of
the century over at Giant Bomb.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
And one of the things, one of the common things I've.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
Been seeing is people keep posting their list on Blue
Sky and other places, is like them complaining because it's
so difficult to whittle it.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Down to ten games. And I was like, yeah, I
feel I felt that too. It was this was a
really tough thing.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
And I also did the movie One not too long ago,
and it wasn't quite as hard, and that was imagining
like doing it for TV, and I'm like, well that
would be kind of easy because that would fall off
after like five or six. And it's like, man, Mike's right,
movies are mid TV.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Many more good video games.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Video games than movies have been on a generational run
for twenty five years that movies and TV cannot touch.
It is crazy. Uh yeah, way way more better video games.
And I'm like, that's just my truth. Now I live it,
all right, let's do the super chats.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Fantastic two, Er says, doubling down on my take from
the discord. Spider Man three the movie is better than
spider Man two the game. People who disagree with me
can't regulate their cringe responses. Also, the game is too long,
people on this is spider Man three the movie having
a Phantom Menace turn or something like.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
It must I'm sure it is.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
I mean, like like like Phantom Menace in the prequels.
It's a really good meme machine. Like it's good for that,
but but that this is just wrong. Spider Man to
the game is better than Spider Man twenty eighteen. Like
it's it's you know, you just got to play that thing.
It's you don't have to try to eat you don't
even have to beat it. What are you talking about
(26:58):
beating it? Just go swing on those fucking webs and
feel cool as hell. You'll get that rules balloon, Yeah,
save that balloon.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Absolutely jump off the Empire State b Yeah, the good
video game is better than the bad movie.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (27:12):
Yeah that's true. But how am I gonna have held
the police on the Old Spider Man the way I
do in twenty eighteen?
Speaker 3 (27:19):
Yeah, it.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Was just like a miracle to have that game where
those webs were actually attaching the buildings school and it
like looked right.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
It felt awesome. It was a miracle and I'll never
I'll never forget playing that game.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
It's sleepy Toby MacGuire doing terrible voice acting because yes,
he just didn't carry Toby. Billions of people are gonna
play this game.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
This bad.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Kitty says Red Dead Redemption two for Game of the Century.
Fuck the haters, keep your horse on the damn road.
I haven't filled mine out yet. I kind of wanted
to do it on stream and soon, so I'm still
thinking about it. I read their attemps too.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
It make mine, But like what.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
One has a chance? I do like that game a lot.
I don't know, we'll see it might. That's a lot.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Ten games is pretty difficult.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
It's Yeah, Marino's going to post the results of that
from the community on the fourth.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Uh, maybe we could.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Collect collect our staff list into like a post or
something like that and post it on the same day
or something like that.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
So try to have it done by July fourth, Mike,
that'd be great.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
Yeah, I will u sign form Saskatchewan says Rascals Rascal.
Mike's hatred of Dradal's is uncomfortable. Did you plan for
Rascals finale to be on the actual Native summit? Was
Rascal the reason for a five percent GDP bump?
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Yeah, I think we should give the credit to Rascal
before anyone else. Of course we should. Oh yeah, uh,
that was pretty funny.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
I we like we're chanting Nato and then I like
immediately got done and I might done else, but like,
the first thing I did that wasn't work related was
go like make a snack, And whenever I'm like in
the kitchen making a snack by myself.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
I'm like, okay, Google, play the news.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
I'll try not to be allowed to activate anyone's Google
and new starts playing.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
It's like Nato is something that was happening today. I
was just like, oh my god, Rascal is important.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
It is Uh.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
San Franco Wanso says, did you play Expelled twenty twenty five?
It's rated?
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Well, I just looked this up.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
It's a kind of cute looking narrative comic sort of game,
some investigation stuff. So no, I have not played it.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Oh, is this the one that's like the follow Yeah?
An Overboard game?
Speaker 2 (29:34):
I never played Overboard, which is a good game that's
like about being a detective for a murder on a boat.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
I want to play that.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
I would like that the next. My second favorite episode
of Columbo after the lennardin Way one is the one
where he's on a cruise ship and there's a murder.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Oh that's good.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Yes, Overboard was really like highly rated by a lot
of people. So yeah, I'm gonna I'll check out Overbird
first for sure.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Robert Munasis. Since the giant On purchase, everyone has been
making suggestions for content ideas. I wanted to get on
the fun by suggesting that people just let Mike, Jeff
and the GB team cook Male Genitalia. Thank you, Robert.
I mean, you know, we opened up a suggestion boss,
I believe on the forum. So if people want to
(30:19):
suggesting as they can, but you know, you know, it's
like these things are always kind of like that, Like
we have certainly some of our own ideas for content.
They you just suggest content. Content isn't usually the problem,
Like what our biggest terms is like you know, reaching people,
like doing extra things for you at your Like it's
sometimes just the general idea of what content, Like you
mentioned this, do you want us to go through something
weird like the gathering of the jugglos, even if it
(30:41):
means well, maybe for a whole week, you're not going
to kind of get your other shows, like you know, right,
because we're doing that, that's the kind of stuff that
we're curious about and we can use suggestions and help
and insight into.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
Yeah, it's uh, that's exactly right.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
It's like, yeah, I'm just curious what people think when
they're give it us money, Like what's the thing that
are gonna make it? So you want to keep giving
us money and like feel like you're getting value even
though everyone does say they want us to make all
the stuff free and available to everybody. What what kind
of bonus or what kind of perks would you want?
Like that's what I'm looking for in the suggestion box.
But the suggestion box, but also if you have content ideas,
(31:16):
we'll always hear you out. I like I like hearing
people's ideas, and it's fun to just go execute on those.
So yeah, we'll we'll figure it out.
Speaker 5 (31:22):
How far how we come. I remember the days where
you recommend stuff and they will shoot you in the spa.
That's a beautiful day.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
There you go. We're different people.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
Uh Slay make awesome, says dear mister Leaks. Can you
please reveal to us what problematic thing Mike wanted to
say during Blake Club. We're all friends here. We won't judge, Penny. Oh,
here's the most important thing, Jeff, because I think Dan
thought this too. To people who said they won't judge,
I think you can guarantee this also, they will absolutely judge.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
They would absolutely judge that he said he never cared
about harambe.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Oh my god, no way. I'll just say it because
I just can't respect your secrecy too.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
I'm proud of you. I've always been proud of you.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Well, at least it's out there now. We can all
move on.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
The drum Kid says, if you were a food, would
you beat? I am Spaghett? Thank you, love you, Bye,
Spaghett You do Spaghett?
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Well, no, no do? Uh dude Will Ferrell doing what's
his name?
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (32:32):
If you were a hot dog, would you eat yourself?
Speaker 4 (32:34):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (32:34):
I do?
Speaker 3 (32:35):
That was like, yeah, if you were hot, I would
you eat yourself like I would? Out of seconds, then
I washed it down for tall cool Budwiser. Would you
eat the moon if it was made of spare ribs?
Answer the question doctor, So yeah, I guess I'll be
(32:55):
a mood full of spirit.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
If I were food, I would be hot. Tomali the
candy or Tomali the Mexican food.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
I like Tamala's. Tamala is fun to say to. Next
one is from the real Oh god, the realest boy.
I was gonna say, the real boy. I'm like, oh,
here you go, the real the real st is in Steven,
the real Stee Boy, the real Steve Boy. Okay, you
(33:27):
know what is good? That's not gonna be anybody's first guess,
is all I'm gonna say. There, Yeah, the real Stea boy.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
But I like it.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
Say my name right, bitches. Mario Kart World Update is bad. Also,
Giant Pomp sucks. I'm irish, So g b oh g
B is great.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Britain.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
Well, did you.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
See the Mario Kart World update where yeah, people were
picking random tracks because at least then you just did
three laps on a track you but actually, Patrick, so
random doesn't do that anymore. It just picks one of
those three that you still have to drive to. It's
like they really want you to play their game their way.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
Yeah, we talked about on a game of Mornings today
and it's just like that's like, you know, thankfully this
isn't going to help everyone else. But thankfully I've most
mostly been playing in friend rooms where we can do
the change option and like pick the course we want
to do. But in random matches, that's thinks, that's stupid.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I hate that. It's weird.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Just let people do I don't know. I mean, look,
this is like all jokes aside. This is the company that,
when they saw people were taking Smash Broths kind of
seriously because they liked playing it that way, they added
random tripping into it, right mm hm.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
They are just the random tripping of Mario cart updates
for so.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
Weird because like you know, then like sometimes they do
things like Breath of the Wad was just such a
hey play the game how you want to kind of thing.
Speaker 5 (34:45):
Then something is just but that's the way they want
you to play the game is yeah, I can.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
They want you to play it anyway you want to. Yeah,
I think you know, look, the whole driving to the
actual tray thing is kind of neat. It's not nearly
as neat as they think it is. And I think
that's like them that we don't think it's so cool.
I mean, it'd be one thing if it was seamless, right,
like a race ends and then we're onto the next thing.
But you know, you go to a result screen, you
come back anyway, so there's no real difference in a
(35:11):
lot of ways.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
It doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Yeah, and it's uh, I think it'd be better people
it's like one lap of getting there and then three
laps on that new course.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
At least, that'd be fine, exactly, that would be completely fine,
Like I don't like they did. Getting there is okay,
but it's like I get to DK Spaceport and it's
like almost done.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
And then it's like, well that for the next race,
you'll be on the lap. You'll be doing that for
two laps. I'm like, okay, I get that, but that's
just not It doesn't do it for me. And that
is what it really doesn't do it for me, is
this idea of there are two hundred and thirty two
courses because there's different combinations.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
No, there isn't.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
That's not I don't feel that way when I'm playing
the game. I don't feel that way. So don't tell
me that's the way it is, because that's not how
I feel when I'm playing the game. It's like, I
want to play those courses, the thirty some odd courses
that are in there, and that's.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
It, all right.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Next up is from tuber my arc tempered uh douna
is Flapping Up the Kid, the Weekend and Hyperbaric Time
Hyperbaric Chamber. What's the best game to play at high pressure?
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Sumnautica? Yeah? There you go? Yeah, high pressure when you
deep underwater, that's a good one. Go that go, there
you go?
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Is there the Abyss the video game, which I'm sure
they'll make one day. Eventually, they'll get around to it.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
Gravy mad says Mike, where is your top ten games
of the century? Also, going by the thumbnail or grub
in Norman read its dating.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
I don't talk about my personal life kiss on the forehead.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
See if I if I did the thumb nail, I
would have put the Jeff face into the baby's body
and then you know, you see, that would be the
joke come across.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
These are the thumb jokes we get everybody, Uh exit,
I want to do it. Who knows, Maybe I'll just
do it.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Maybe if I might go live on Twitch.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
I just to do it real quick.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
I don't know, who knows. Maybe I'll just do it
while you guys are even all in a discord thing
and talking to me. Just I can do it before
we go. Who knows? By I said, I do have
a flight, I'd like leave her at three a m
or something to get to a flight. And I I
had the pack still not that that's that hard. I
basically had the pack clothes for a few days and
my seapap and.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
I switch to nothing.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Big h Next up is from Antonio Morales. Me, man,
this launch sucks. I have nothing to plan. Switch to
Nintendo drops strikers July Me. That's what I'm talking about.
That's why he's MVP, that's why he's the goat, the
goat penis.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Yeah, I'm excited too, Yeah, be fun.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
Chris Pratt says, hanging out with mister Kojima and he
put me in a room with a bunch of cameras.
Can't say much, but he did tell me to learn
to say keep your waiting. Huh yep, brat, thank you,
Let's ride all it says. I switched to pro order
from Target to two weeks to get here, but today
Target sent me a fifty dollar Nintendo gift card to apologize.
(38:05):
Already bought Super Mario three to roe on the shop sale.
What else should I grab? Yeah? I saw that some
people were getting Target gift cards.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
That's ya.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Hey, they don't have to do that usually usually they don't.
So that's something I bet those people would a rather
just had their switch at a convenient time.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Up.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
Yeah, Pretty World is a good one. I mean, I'm
looking at what's on sale. Links Awakening thirty percent off.
There's a lot of stuff that's thirty percent off. Luji's
Mansion two h out Luisavision two. Don't buy that. Ooh
I ANYS World Championship is three percent off and it's
just twenty one bucks right now. I know that game
way dimple everyone away. I think that's pretty good for
(38:44):
twenty one bucks there.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
It's a lot of fun. It was one of my
games of the year. It was a top ten list.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
I love that game, so I think I think that
would be a pretty decent one to get. All right,
So next up here is from Da Boy Jerry without
spoiler anything, The Penn Ultimate Level and Doomed the Dark.
It just has an insane boss fight like best in
the series, insane finish at Mikey. I've been I have
been making my way through it, so a lot of
(39:10):
times I'll actually let myself like relax a little bit.
During games mornings, I will play some Doom the Dark
ages and watch Jeff talk about video games.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
It's usually that's good, busy this morning for that.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
But yeah, so but you know, so like it's it's
a big game. I'm not really being really halfway through it,
at least according to the chapters. I think I want
to like chapter nine or ten, and there's twenty two,
so I got a ways to go.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
But I like that game.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
It's fine.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
El Gruggs says, Mike looks so cool. Rip Rascal, are
you say it's over? Jeff?
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Did you really enjoy that one? I really did?
Speaker 2 (39:41):
Yeah, it was really great, although you know, it probably
was as long as it should be, uh, you know,
six episodes, a little bit longer than your typical Blake
Club game, but definitely the right amount of Rascal because
everyone was having such a good time with that one.
You know, it played all its tricks though, and we
got to enjoy them all and it felt fresh through
the end, which is ideal. Is what you want from
(40:03):
one of these bad games because they you know, they
we know they can be a slog. So getting a
lot of content out of one of them and never
feeling that way, that's that's the money spot. So uh, yeah,
I really enjoyed watching you play Rascal, but you know,
I'm looking forward to to Dan's game as well, which
I should probably just order that, huh, because I have
a company card.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
I could hear that.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
And oh, can you with the company card buy me
a copy copy of Guitar ro Man for PS two
while you're at it.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
Yes, we'll do that after this.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't think it was my longest.
I think Mythologies was longer for me. Ripple Cup may
have also been six that I can't remember. I mean,
you had dak Katana which was eleven or something, and
then Dan had a bunch with Sonic Go six being
broken up into.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
Three, but he got big breaks.
Speaker 4 (40:49):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
Next up is from Chris Pratt, who would you cast
me as in the Street Fighter movie?
Speaker 2 (40:56):
Honestly, you'd be a better fit for a lot of
these things and the character than some of the actors.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Ehan is perfect, of course Dan.
Speaker 4 (41:05):
Is.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
I bet he'd be pretty good at maybe an awesome Dan.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
He'd be like, is he give be a goof right?
Speaker 4 (41:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (41:10):
He kind of kind of washed up like Dan anything.
I mean, he could play washed up despite being very
relevant and at the top of career, right, and so cool.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
That's so cool exactly.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
Next up is Oh Gruggs his great GB town Hall.
By the way, I can't believe Dan said as the
Triple H of Giant Bomb that he's going to meet
rf K Junior and we'll move to Saudi Arabia.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
I mean we were trying to rain him in, but
he's just he's lost it over there. Yeah, that's what
That's what being chief content Officer does to a man.
You should see what he said to us on discord.
He thought about that, made a big deal about it.
But wow, wolf h Dean eight one four nine.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
It's just got an email from Target gave me a
fifty dollars shop cart because of the shipping delays. Check
your email. Target people, all right, target people in the house,
you target party people. Make sure you check your emails.
See if you got that fifty dollars or not. I'm
a Walmart boy.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
What's the deal with like them, like really trying to
butter up Nintendo players, because you're right, they don't have
to do this. It's the kind of thing where it's like,
you know, you just could come. You get it when
you get it. And yet fifty dollars gift card or
Walmart's giving people pringles and Coca cola or whatever.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
I guess they must have data that says keep the
Nintendo fans happy for whatever reason.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Yeah, and I mean there's a little bit of that.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
You know.
Speaker 3 (42:27):
Fifty dollars isn't quite enough for most switched to games anyway.
It's I guess you do buy a little shit something.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
You do buy a lot of a lot of bullshit.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Yeah, absolutely, Big Frish thirty says nobody respects virtual tennis anymore.
Damn kids. Oh, I like virtual tennis. I would kill
to have like virtue tennis, not like you know, like
a ports. You know they had Virtual Fighter five reported recently.
I'd love that for a virtue at.
Speaker 1 (42:51):
Ten get our gig to make a virtual tennis.
Speaker 5 (42:53):
Oh, I'd love that.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
Actually, that'd be amazing, that'd be great.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
Joe Botsa's kids accidentally threw away ten physical switch cards
on a relative. God what I was planning on going
all digital switch to But the vgcs can't share between
three switches. Help but that out, love you guys.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
Peebis well, I mean you could. You can share virtual
game cards between three switches. There's just a there's extra
benefits to having like two switches, Like the account sixty
nine ing thing still somewhat exists a little bit. But
if you're on the family plan, you could share a
virtual game card with multiple switches anyone in that family
(43:33):
for sure. So but they ought to be like local
and close. That's like the one big caveat so you know,
I do. I'd have meant to like test this out
with like the switch and the two switch tos now
and see exactly how it works. But that's my understanding.
So I would still probably go digital because boys, these.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
Kids deserve video games still of anything.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
Yeah, maybe they don't, like I mean, although at a
certain point it's like, man, that's what kids do.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
Yeah, you know, drust them those tiny little things. Absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
It's a big reason I'm I'm happy and not to
be physical on the switch is those tiny little cards?
Speaker 3 (44:07):
Mike the O'Leary, excuse me. Jason Fulton says, you can
only go to one vgame doctor for life saving treatment.
Do you see doctor Robotek, doctor Wiley or doctor Mario?
And doctor Mario is not a real doctor.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
It's probably not a real doctor. I could be. He
crashed and I had to read the last part of
it from my memory.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
That's why I missed the problem.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
Well done, that was actually pretty good. He could be
a real doctor, but he probably isn't.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
But here's the thing. Doctor Robote doctor Wiley are not
like human medical doctors. They work on robots. They're smart
maybe right there.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
I don't think they're medical doctors, like, not at all.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
So doctor Mario is at least pretending like he's a quack,
but at least he's like working with medicine.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
He has pills.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (44:52):
The other two even have pills. I guess I'm going
to doctor Mario, creepy fucker, and the viruses hate those pills.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
That's better than nothing. What is it the light?
Speaker 5 (45:02):
Is he a doctortologist?
Speaker 3 (45:05):
Also just a robot doctor? They're all ropot doc.
Speaker 5 (45:07):
What do you think? What do you think about the
rumors that he was part of the paper clip project?
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Mikey O'Leary says, Hey, so why is Mike's Harry Carey
impression the same as when he does a British accent? Hi? Right,
Harry carry here? Deaf triangle? Cubs win, Cubs win, It's
fun big first three sentences. Dice gay Ishuwatari was spitting
at the end of the Art Systems show that just ended,
(45:37):
talking about how important mid size games are.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Mid sized games are great. You know it's not great, Jeff.
Speaker 3 (45:43):
Mid mid games, mid mid sized games, but I think
they make a lot of good stuff. I'm just a
little salty about this bubble bubble game looking kind of there,
But no, we need more Art Systems.
Speaker 1 (45:54):
Works in the worlds for sure. Yep, I would love that.
Speaker 3 (45:57):
Brio says, I've been giving Mike my whole paycheck this week,
but by golly, that rascals earned it. Congrats, Mike, I
haven't seen you hate a bike game this U thank you.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
You haven't really done with it.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
Save a little bit for yourself, buddy. I was getting like,
I was like freaking out when that game just wasn't
taking That was so I was so mad about the
health and life situation in the entire time. That's what
really just kept the raid. Yeah, that's insane.
Speaker 1 (46:22):
Yeah, it's an insane thing to have to overcome. Did
you see the I forget it's a theory, just a
known fact.
Speaker 3 (46:28):
The reason why there's only six extra lives in the
entire game because the hat where it displays them. They
everyone's convinced that there is no asset for a ten
life thing on the hat taking up two digits, it
can only go up to nine.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
So you just aren't allowed to ever have more than
nine lives because of that. Theoretically more than nine, not
that anyone would ever have even that much.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
Yeah, that's theoretically can't do it, man, that's crazy. That's like,
so Mike, the nes can only do so much math.
It's like, what is the thing holding the PlayStation game back,
that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
Charwob says, what's your all's favorite BAT E three conference shows?
Like Sony E three two out of six e Konami
twenty ten. I have a soft spot for the Konami one.
That was the first E three press conference I ever
went to. So like, I was like wide eyed and
like a part of me is like, are they all
like this in person?
Speaker 4 (47:24):
Ex Actually?
Speaker 1 (47:25):
What it feels like?
Speaker 3 (47:26):
Cool?
Speaker 2 (47:27):
It's like the circus circus scene from Fear and Loathing
in Las Vegas.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
You're like, what the hell is going on here?
Speaker 5 (47:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (47:32):
And then uh, the Sawny one I got. I did
like that Sony one would like, Yeah, that one seemed
really important and iconic. It was memed to death.
Speaker 4 (47:41):
I was a kid.
Speaker 3 (47:41):
I was making some of those means myself even at
that point, right yep, So yeah, those are the two
I think of. There's like, mister, that's what I saw shows? Right?
Speaker 4 (47:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (47:51):
Yeah, so faith, I think there's just so many incredible
moments from that. For sure.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
Jacob Bench is fifteen hours in and then dest Ranting
two is checking all of the right boxes.
Speaker 1 (48:00):
What is a chemical boxes?
Speaker 5 (48:02):
Right?
Speaker 1 (48:03):
Yes, delivering and I'm not supposed to check them but sure.
Speaker 3 (48:06):
Yeah, Nintendrek says, who Jack Black play in the Street Fighting?
Speaker 1 (48:10):
You could play Blanca?
Speaker 3 (48:13):
Yeah, I bet he'll be Rufous though from Street Fighter
Rufus the fat guy.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
Yeah, there you go. It's kind of grish.
Speaker 4 (48:21):
So there you go.
Speaker 3 (48:22):
All right, Well, thank you for the super chats so far.
We will definitely get more than Oh yeah, make it
be Cammy. Just put them out in the sun for
a very long time. Get some deep tan lines. Give
him a straw hat haven't been costume option for Camy.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Just feel like you described someone's fantasy there. All right,
we're gonna take another break. When we come back, we
have to do a I think it's the Metacritic guessing games.
Speaker 3 (48:48):
That where we're at results in new ones.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
Yeah, I am very excited. We're gonna do that right
after this. All right, we're back. Game Mess decides it's
time to side a bunch of stuff. But first we
got to get the results before we get decide new things.
So Sean hand the.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
Show over to you.
Speaker 4 (49:07):
Alrighty, Yeah, it's time once again for a quarterly Open
Critics Scorer guessing game. A Mess of a guess. This
is our quarter two results slash quarter three Predictions show.
This is brought to you by, of course friend of
the show, the Uncharted Wolf and then present you we
turbo shown thanks Wolf, quick rundown all the rules because
(49:27):
you know what, there's probably a lot of people will
say this who haven't seen this game yet, So we'll
run through this game mess both the guys on the
show here as well as the community and the discord.
We're given a list of twelve games in quarter two
coming out that quarter, and their task was to predict
the Open Critic score for each one. The score as
(49:49):
tallied was a turn by his top critic average on
Open Critic. The final scores were tallied on June twenty fifth,
so just yesterday.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
Ye too, right, that was the last game.
Speaker 4 (50:00):
That's the last one we needed for this one. Whoever
was the closest to file score got one point. And
if you predicted the score exactly right, you got two points.
And finally, if you didn't think a game would come
out by the end of the second quarter, you say,
will not release and get those points that way.
Speaker 1 (50:16):
Bonus points for being within fifty of certain games.
Speaker 3 (50:20):
I can't wait to get to that one. I'll tell
you this right now. I think I've been doing pretty
good in this game recently. I think this is not
gonna be my quarter do.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Better than you think.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
There's a couple ones where I'm like, man, I think
I beef that, so let's see how it goes.
Speaker 4 (50:34):
Actually, I didn't look at the results screen. I actually
don't know who won. I think so anyways, Game number one, okay,
so this also tells us who went first, which I
always appreciate. Game number one, Jeff went first, guessing a
score of Clare Obscure Expedition thirty three. Jeff one with
eighty eight, and Mike decided to take the over with
(50:54):
eighty eight nine.
Speaker 3 (50:56):
I definitely deserved that. I believed in this game from
an early period, and it paid off even higher than
I could have imagined.
Speaker 4 (51:02):
That's right, because they end up at ninety two on
Open Greg well deserved that as an excellent video game,
and then in the community, Eden and Crorsis both got
right with their ninety one prediction. Good job job. Next up,
Game number two Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, Mike
going first there, Mike went with eighty. Jeff went under
(51:24):
was seventy nine, and he should have took the over
because it went eighty one as the final top critic average,
so Mike gets one point there.
Speaker 1 (51:32):
I feel good about that one too. I'm like, that'll
be like a seventy seven man.
Speaker 4 (51:36):
Shit, I was feeling the same way.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
So I wonder every want to hold on this feeling
where it looks like we're really good at this and
when everyone remembers.
Speaker 1 (51:43):
That, I remember this.
Speaker 4 (51:44):
Yeah. Eden and Dan Fiasco both got the double points
with an eighty one perfect guess. Very nice there. Game
number three Metal Eden, Jeff went with seventy five, Mike
went with seventy and the winner is nobody. Because this
one got delayed like the morning after we did that show.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
So do you remember this at all, Mike?
Speaker 4 (52:08):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
I think at the time, I was like, what is that?
I don't.
Speaker 4 (52:11):
Yes, I think the uh yeah, I think Mike might
have used the Jeff rub research clause on that one.
Speaker 1 (52:17):
Yeah, it's true.
Speaker 3 (52:18):
Yeah, god, okay, yeah.
Speaker 4 (52:22):
Because of however, the funny way the delay happened, a
lot of people in the community got the did not
release on this one, so we'll put's here. So many
people won. Just assume you got the points on that. Uh.
Game number four Doomed the Dark Ages. Mike went with
eighty eight. Jeff well with eighty nine, which I thought
(52:44):
was a safe bet, but it was actually below at
eighty six, so Mike gets the point on that one.
Speaker 1 (52:50):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (52:51):
You know, the fourth US wearing ever so slightly thing,
even though they do change it up a good bit.
Speaker 2 (52:56):
I think, you know, it was it was hard to
It was hard to tell in that moment. It's like,
how much of a departure is this going to be?
And it's it wasn't as much as I thought it was.
Speaker 1 (53:03):
Going to be.
Speaker 4 (53:04):
I haven't played on myself yet, but I have heard
from people that there's also just things about it that
are worse than there are games, like the soundtrack not
being from Mick Gordon or did it on Eternal's DLC.
It's just not that great. And then like the story
stuff can be a little overbearing at times.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
A surprisingly large amount of it. It's not like, you know,
I don't want to be like, oh story in games.
I'm surprised there's that many cut seeds in this game.
Speaker 4 (53:28):
I was, yeah, I was wondering, like, is it like
what I thought would be sort of like a METROI
Prime three where it's not like there's a ton a
ton of it, but like more than you expect from
the series.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
It's book ending.
Speaker 1 (53:36):
It's like at the almost at the beginning and end
of every mission there is a cut sing to some kind.
I'm just like, okay, really care but whatever, Billy, I
guess uh.
Speaker 4 (53:47):
In the community, Tommy, Mitchipu, Chuck, bread Fish, and Tarioki
Blues all got exactly right. Eighty six all the game
number five on my Craft this quarter.
Speaker 2 (54:01):
I thought I was gonna lose, yes, and then you
got my game exactly right, and you got your game
all right.
Speaker 4 (54:08):
I don't spoil it. It's an audio podcast here. Jeff
should have gone exactly right with eighty two. Mike went
under with eighty one, which is probably the safe bet.
Unfortunately he got exactly right, really stunting on them grubby
hose there. So I nicely don't with the double points, fime.
Speaker 3 (54:25):
I nothing good game. I want to play more. I
had had a great time when we played that. I
kept getting sand. Remember I was the same Hi, you
are a sand guy here, the opposite of ankin Skywalker.
Speaker 1 (54:35):
I love sand, we love the sand.
Speaker 5 (54:36):
Remember when I saved you from that castle? That was
pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
Yeah, it was important to me.
Speaker 4 (54:42):
Speaking of getting exactly right, Darashi input name here like
a Dylan and doctor Ryan all also got exactly right.
Game number six was Eldon ring night Rain. Mike said
eighty one. Jeff also probably safe Bet went over with
eighty but it didn't matter because Mike got exactly right
(55:03):
with the eighty one.
Speaker 1 (55:04):
Why do we do this game? Wow?
Speaker 3 (55:07):
I did a pretty good look at that that I
can't that say called out.
Speaker 1 (55:12):
It's so frustrated. It's like we're both right there. We're
both like, yeah, it's gonna be right in this range,
and it's just like, no, no luck.
Speaker 3 (55:19):
Look, I inferred that through intellect.
Speaker 2 (55:22):
Yeah, but it's like I was referring the same bit thing.
It's like there's like a one percent difference between those scores.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
I literally knew that.
Speaker 3 (55:29):
I knew that so many people were gonna be caught
up guard by the Fortnite circle that that was a
point right there.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
Don't worry, Jeff, I'm gonna make both of you look
very stupid in just a second.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
Here.
Speaker 4 (55:39):
I got shouts to Bench, who also got exactly right there.
Game number seven on.
Speaker 1 (55:46):
That one didn't look because like I don't know it's
a sorry.
Speaker 4 (55:49):
Game Number seven Lost Soul Aside. That's a shaw On
game right there. Jeff went with eighty two, Mike went
with eighty one, and the winner once again is nobody
because this one also got delayed too later in the summer.
Speaker 1 (56:02):
So there's no way I could say eighty two.
Speaker 4 (56:05):
You motherfucker. Krag Mada hating Lost Soul side hating motherfucker
Like I like what I played, It's not a real game,
shouts a Joys in the community for game. The delay
prediction correct.
Speaker 3 (56:19):
I should probably take I'm gonna learn a lesson here.
If I don't know what a game is, I should
assume it's gonna get delayed.
Speaker 4 (56:25):
Apparently, good point. Game number eight Delta Rune, Chapters three
and four. Mike went first here prediction of eighty six.
Jeff took the under at eighty five. Interesting bet there
on That one once again didn't matter because Mike nailed
(56:45):
it with eighty six. Nicely done, Mike, enjoy yourself is great.
Speaker 1 (56:54):
It was fun.
Speaker 4 (56:56):
It seems like it might be fine for something. Yeah, yeah,
your listeners. Mike Manati is doing a clean sweep so far.
Speaker 1 (57:03):
Ninety three Dead On got a lot of them.
Speaker 4 (57:06):
Dead Up, Durachi Warden, Cliff Days and bod Beef Hammer
like a Dylan Doctor Ryan and Shoji Codo all also
got exactly right with eighty six Game number nine, Nintendo's
Don't Want to Welcome Tour. Jeff went first, He had
(57:27):
the option to go first on this one, and went
with seventy eight. Mike was like, you know what, it's
gonna be lower than that. Nobody's gonna like this thing.
But still it's Nintendo seventy five. No y'all is saying
at sixty one on Open Critic, So congression Mike for
getting one point there.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
That's the one where it's like, yeah, whoever got to
go second, go wonder was gonna get that one.
Speaker 4 (57:54):
I do want to say, shot us to be cordless
of community getting sixty one exactly correct.
Speaker 3 (57:59):
That's impressied.
Speaker 4 (58:00):
That's an impressive yeah, being the low scores right as hard.
Speaker 3 (58:07):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (58:09):
Mario Kart World, Mike went first here with ninety five.
Jeff went under with ninety four, which I remember we
talked like that could be a risky one here it's
Mario Kart, but Jeff got it right because Mario kartt
World has issues, so it's saying at eighty six on
Open Critic nicely donin, Jeff, you're on the back.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
That is the one where it's like I didn't remember
like being like, oh, thank god he went so high,
because I felt pretty good about that one being under that.
Speaker 3 (58:36):
I don't I don't know what I was thinking in
that moment. I mean, I guess there was a lot.
There was a good round of hype. It was showing
really well, and people liked mari KRT eight so.
Speaker 4 (58:44):
Everything like because it is a masterpiece for people who
like Mario Kart.
Speaker 3 (58:48):
You know, I kind of climb down a bit and
not expected this to be one of the best reviewed
games ever. So yeah, that was definitely.
Speaker 4 (58:57):
Yeah, maybe like doubling up on ninety two would have
been better.
Speaker 3 (59:00):
Yeah, Like I could have gone to ninety three and
one and that would have stowed very eyes. So I
definitely blew that one.
Speaker 4 (59:07):
The community winners there are a split. Doctor Lynch was
two points off with eighty four and dom fres was
two points off above with eighty eight. I assume most
people went higher than that. Uh game number eleven, though,
y'all are gonna look very dumb here. Mine's eye jeff
(59:28):
you went first. You predicted eighty for some ungodly reason.
But on the other hand, Mike the fool, the absolute fool,
predicted eighty one. He went above.
Speaker 1 (59:42):
He went second and went above.
Speaker 3 (59:44):
It's a sane Actually, you're right. I used all my
energy early on because you have been two terrible moves.
Speaker 4 (59:50):
Everyone listening to this podcast Mine's eye is sitting at
thirty four on Open Critics. Jeffrey Grub gets the point there.
Speaker 1 (59:59):
I see, that's right. Who's closest, that's all the.
Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
Matter the bens No, what's funny. What's funny is in
the community the closest were Enemy Mouse and be Corless
with sixty five. Even the community didn't think it would
be that low.
Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
No one predicts anything below a fifty. No way.
Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
It is wild that we weren't thinking seventies for this.
At least we should have. I don't know why I
was thinking seventies. Yeah, I don't know what I was
think it's eighty one.
Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
Maybe seventy on the nose or something like.
Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:00:26):
No one could have foreseen this coming though. Anyways. Game
number twelve is death Stranding to on the beach. Mike,
you went first, eighty seven you predicted. Jeff went over
with eighty eight because it went over. Everyone loves the
smell of coach. Miss Farts is saying at ninety on
Open Critics, So Jeff, congrats on the point there.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
Yeah, I'm surprised that I went over on that, so
I guess you know what. I remember the vibes on
this one. It's like, man, you went eighty seven. I
bet I was mad at you because I bet that.
I'm like, that's a really good point. I guess I
gotta go over because it felt like eighty six would
have been way too low.
Speaker 4 (01:01:05):
All right, all right, whatever, Hey, shout outs to I'm
asleep in the community for gaging exactly right. Yeah, well done,
ninety And then the community results are on screen if
you're watching the video versions, people.
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
Did better than me in a much HARDI of the game.
Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
Yeah, that's right, because in the community you're competing against everyone,
you need to get it closer than anyone else in
the community. I forget how many people could compede it
this time. I ou't know of if Wolf has it
there anywhere, but usually it's around like fifty or sixty
people competing. So shout outs. Shout outs to be corless
for getting it with five points there, nicely done. We'll
(01:01:44):
said forty odd players this quarter? Okay, gotcha, gotcha, y'all.
Mike did not get a congratulations screen. I just well put.
Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
What I did.
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
I got three of the round of money.
Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
I think we'll just knew that you would you would
congratulates the congratulations.
Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
I have to win a year for that. Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (01:02:17):
Right right, right, right, right of course, someone said that
we shouldn't count the quarters at all. That's right.
Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
What fucking piece of shit said that.
Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
You would have scored?
Speaker 4 (01:02:27):
Right? So that's great? A right, all right? Quarter three?
Just think, Jeff, it doesn't matter right now, it.
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
Doesn't matter.
Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
Matters damn damn.
Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
All right?
Speaker 4 (01:02:45):
Quarter three? Uh, y'all are going to predict the scores
for sixteen games this time. Pretty summer's pretty packed. Deadline
for the community vote is, of course, when the first
game gets reviews. That's how we always do it. The
Jeff Grubb research clauss that you can choose to do
research for one game of your choosing. You get to
call it out to me immediately if you would like
(01:03:06):
to do so. If you don't think game will release
in the quarter. You can't say, of course, say will
not release and then, uh, Jeff, you can decide if
you want to go first or second in parentheses. Just
get some points, man, come on.
Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
I'll go okay, sixteen games, I will go first.
Speaker 4 (01:03:27):
Okay. Uh, probably a good call here, Jeff. I'd like
you to tell me what we think Tony Hawk's pro
Skater three plus four will get.
Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
This is your game, man, Yeah, when has that ever mattered?
I'm gonna go with a it is the four stuff
gonna like bother people who would review this game. I'm
gonna go with an.
Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
Eighty eight, okay, Mikey, Yeah, it's hard because like if
so much. I think like the new levels are really neat.
I think the four stuff is gonna bother some people,
not a ton but enough that I think in eighty
seven is more likely.
Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
Hey, seventaining the under got it, okay? And then we
snake back around. So then, Mike, I need to tell
me you think Donkey Kong Bonanza will get Oh that's rough, okay.
I think this is going to do very well.
Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
Is that my team? It looks super fun. I think
it's like in lawaiys.
Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
This is I gotta be care. I definitely don't want
to do what I did Mario Kart last time, get
too excited. It's hard for me to imagine the people
who made Mario Odyssey is gonna make a game that
doesn't score like a ninety at least, I am going
to say ninety one.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Jeff, God, that's that's tough. I'm gonna go with a ninety.
I just feel like there's gonna be peop who are
going to be contrarian.
Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
And and.
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
Call Andy Robinson out. Yeah, I'm calling out Andy Robinson.
Speaker 4 (01:05:07):
You gotta do it once for episode.
Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
I just think there's gonna be enough people that'll be like, oh,
you know, the openness is not what I want, and
they're gonna be wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:05:14):
Okay, Devil's Advocate, because I actually don't know, do we
know for sure? For sure? Is the team?
Speaker 1 (01:05:22):
No, but it is.
Speaker 4 (01:05:23):
I mean, I'm saying the assets are shared more than
ever with the Nintendo nowadays.
Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
I'm just one say I'm sure, okay, I guess yeah, yeah,
I'm sure, right exactly.
Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
So okay. Game number three Shadow Labyrinth, Jeff.
Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
Fuck, that's a weird one. I'm gonna go with In
eighty two.
Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
Okay, hmmm, yeah, I think this game is I actually
got to play some of this. I think it's neat.
I think there's a little I donna say weirdness.
Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
I think it's neat.
Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
I don't think it's exceptionally neat, but it's really promising,
said An eighty two.
Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
I'm gonna go with an eighty.
Speaker 4 (01:06:09):
Eighty. Got it. I didn't want to say anything until
you guys guess, but any audio listeners, there's that weird
grim Dirrick pac Band game that got announce that's based
off of what the Amazon show doing, right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
It's actually all the way around. I found out. Apparently
like the Amazon people looked at their concept for this
and then their episode based on that.
Speaker 4 (01:06:26):
Oh interesting, Okay, that would make more sense than me. Okay.
Game number four Ninja Guided Rage Bound Mike.
Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
People like this demo. I didn't get to play it myself,
but people seemed high on it. It looks really nice. Yeah,
I don't want to go like too crazy here. I've
got second eighty excuse me, eighty four eighty four.
Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
Juck, let's see Koetechno dot EMU eighty four is a
good one. That's that's kind of right, where I want
to be as well. So it's tough to go above
or below.
Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
You kind of just want that range. But I'll go
eighty three. I think eighty two eighty three maybe a
little bit more likely than eighty five eighty six.
Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
We'll see what the reviews end up being. But I
did play this demo during Steam Neexfest, and I spent
hours more than I thought I would on here on
just a demo because Ah, this game rips, dude. So
I'm hopeful. I'm hopeful Game number five Mafia The Old Country, Jeff.
Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
I'm gonna go with a seventy two, Okay, Mike. It
was literally thinking seventy two. Oh my god, I mean
it feels like a seventy two. It does.
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
I think a lot of people are gonna be like
it kind of sucks. It's not open world. Gosh, my
pest mixic are optim I'm gonna be I'm gonna seventy one.
Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
I'll go seventy one.
Speaker 2 (01:08:10):
Yeah, I would be. I would be a pessimistic. I
would have gone under rather than over seventy two.
Speaker 5 (01:08:15):
You gotta get it right on, baby, it's your people.
If you've done this up to your people.
Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
Again, tap into my Italian ancestors.
Speaker 4 (01:08:25):
All right, Mike, can you please tell me what you
think Drag and Drive will get?
Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
Decisee to remember now that A Welcome Tour got a sixty.
Speaker 4 (01:08:36):
This is a video game though, for what it's worth, it's.
Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
A video game.
Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
It's like, yeah, but it's woke.
Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
Mike's gonna go low.
Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
I'll give it. I'll get a very nice sixty nine
for Drag Cross Drive.
Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
That's that's good. Do I think there's gonna be enough
juice to get it into the seventies.
Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
That's a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
I'm I'll go seventy. Yeah, I'll go seventy. I wish,
I wish I didn't have to make that choice, but yeah,
I'll go seventy.
Speaker 4 (01:09:06):
I think what you guys are saying there a night
is right. I think it looks fun, but yeah, maybe
the gimmick gets old really quick. Yeah, exactly, Game number seven.
I know this one existed, Dying Light the Beast. Jeff,
I'll go.
Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
With a seventy eight.
Speaker 3 (01:09:24):
Okay, I mean it's sorrd because I don't please games
and to me just like, oh, here's another one. People
have to be getting a little tired of this. Maybe
they aren't. I don't know, but I still want to
say seventy five.
Speaker 5 (01:09:38):
Seventy's just the third one in like ten years.
Speaker 3 (01:09:41):
Brother, and we both saw our research clause that's true.
Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
But I'm holding onto it so well.
Speaker 4 (01:09:45):
Next up, Next up is an interesting one to go
first on Metal Gears, Sawid Delta Snake Eater.
Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
Mike, Oh, that is interesting to remake of one, yeah,
kind of the both games. Ever, I wonder for some
people it's gonna to me it's there's a little weirdness
with the one.
Speaker 1 (01:10:03):
To one remake aspect of it, a little weirdness there,
and I.
Speaker 3 (01:10:07):
Wonder part of me wonders that's going to present even
more weirdly when you're playing the game in some ways,
not in any major ways, but in ways where.
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
This isn't you know, a ninety four and instead it
is more like at eighty nine. In fact, that might.
Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
Gosh, I'm trying. Yeah, Partly, it's like, how many people
reviewing games are my age anymore? That's part of it. Really,
how many of them hold Snake Eater, And that's super
high esteem that I do try to say.
Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
I think I will go more like in eighty nine, Okay,
Jeff Mike, what you do eighty nine? Oh? You bestor yeah?
I mean eighty nine is the right one. I think
that's right. Uh m, I'll go eighty eight. That sucks.
Speaker 4 (01:10:56):
It spout to be in there, all right? Next up
back with a Vengeance lost solo side.
Speaker 1 (01:11:03):
Jeff, Shit, what I even said?
Speaker 4 (01:11:12):
What did I guess?
Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
I'll go with whatever. I'll go with the fucking eighty
Who cares, I'll go eighty wow?
Speaker 3 (01:11:21):
Right, all right, I'll go with a seventy five seventy
five day, hear that right?
Speaker 4 (01:11:29):
Seventy five?
Speaker 3 (01:11:30):
Yeah, I'm going lower. I'm not going just seventy. I'm
not some coward. Seventy five get me down a few notches.
Speaker 5 (01:11:36):
This game is this the one made by by a
solo guy was in?
Speaker 4 (01:11:42):
Yeah, he got a team guess being polished by PlayStation.
It's kind of like a Stellar Blade esque situation. I'm
gonna laugh when seventy nine right alright? Game number ten
Shinobi Art of Vengeance and Mike is to go first
on was maybe a mikey game.
Speaker 3 (01:12:00):
Yeah, it definitely is. I was real looking forward to this.
I play at suf and thought it was great. I'm
gonna assume that maybe not. Everyone's gonna be as hyper
into this as I am. If I did research on
this one, I would like to. I would love to
see what Streets of Rage four got because it's that team.
It's kind of a similar thing. Did I think I
think this is gonna do well? I don't know what
it's gonna do astronomically well, so I will say it's
(01:12:26):
so pretty looking too, and that's gonna leave an impression
on people, but maybe not like the biggest impression ever.
I'm gonna say I don't like to me, I want to.
I want to say eighty seven. So I'm gonna like
check myself a little bit within eighty six.
Speaker 4 (01:12:42):
Okay, I'll go eighty five.
Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
I'm gonna feel good about it. I don't feel great
about it about go eighty five.
Speaker 4 (01:12:51):
It's a retro, it's a retro as platform or so
we'll see how people feel. YEP, game number eleven, hell
is us, Jeff?
Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
Let me think here. I'm gonna go with in eighty three.
Speaker 4 (01:13:09):
Eighty three for that watch Dogs looking back?
Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
I'm sorry, Can I change my my scor?
Speaker 5 (01:13:15):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:13:15):
I don't feel Mike didn't go yeah, so yeah, you
can change it is that, okay, Mike, it's okay.
Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
Eighty one, Okay, m.
Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
I know Dan played this for some reason at some
point he seemed to like it. Okay, he doesn't, you know,
super enthusiastic. I think, I I this is part of
just me, like, I just don't I no, no, I
don't know that much about this. I'm just gonna play
it safe within eighty gotcha.
Speaker 4 (01:13:43):
Next up, everybody's golf hotshots Mike.
Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
Oh, that's difficult. There was that Ai controversy, but that
seemed to be kind of a nothing burger. There's it's
just like pre generation, so I don't think that's that
big a deal. I think that timing for this is
great because it's been a while since we've had a
Mario golf or something similar. But boy, even like given
their prime, what's kind of scores was hotshots golf and
(01:14:10):
everybody's golf getting Really I've bet nothing crazy. I'll say
a seventy six.
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
Alrighty, yeah, I'm happy to go with the seventy seven there.
I think seventy six is a good, good call out.
It could easily be seventy five, but I'm gonna go
with the over there.
Speaker 4 (01:14:26):
Okay, now, Jeff, I know you're very excited about Baby Steps,
but what do you think everyone else is gonna give it?
Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
Yeah, I think this one will be like it's gonna
be funny, and how long does that joke last? Will
be a big like how long is it funny? Will
be a big part of it of like how it's received,
and that's gonna be tough.
Speaker 1 (01:14:50):
So I'm gonna go with a seventy eight Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:14:55):
Yeah, I'll take the seventy seven on that.
Speaker 4 (01:14:58):
Okay. I will say this had a demo doing next
Fest as well, and I was laughing for about fifteen
minutes then I turned the game off, So we'll see
how everyone else feels here. Game number fourteen is Borderlands.
For Jesus Christ, I forgot about this one.
Speaker 3 (01:15:16):
Ah, Mike, that's difficult because it's like you almost expect
everybody to be more over Borderlands than ever, like you know,
like people work that into three the movie Bomb. Like
I feel like a lot of people actually kind of
want to Borderlands right now, even more so than when
like three was happening. There's really that much juice here.
(01:15:40):
They really make a really exciting new Borderlands in the
year twenty twenty five. What did Borderlands three even get?
Part of me is almost almost on to research it.
There aren't that many games left I'm going to research.
Speaker 1 (01:15:52):
I was going to research it. Fantastic, Thanks Mine, Now.
Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
You're welcome, buddy my mouth there. Okay, Borderlands.
Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
It's a reminder for audio listeners. This is game fourteen sixteen.
We're almost at the end of the prediction.
Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
If he researches it, can I research it? Like?
Speaker 4 (01:16:07):
Like?
Speaker 1 (01:16:08):
Does it not? Probably not right? Like I just have
to do what he goes on. Yeah, I mean I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
I don't see why you couldn't, but I feel like
it's advantageous and not deeper research for something.
Speaker 1 (01:16:22):
No, I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
I'm saying, like, because he's researched it now has that
like unlocked it, and I could still say I have
my own research, is what I was saying.
Speaker 4 (01:16:28):
So no, no, just no, okay, Mike, what'd you say?
Speaker 1 (01:16:32):
Eighty three?
Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
Eighty three? Got?
Speaker 1 (01:16:38):
Yeah? God, that is another tough spot.
Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
Because I don't feel great about going over, really don't
feel great about going under. So I guess that means
I go over. You said eighty three, I do. I
have to go with an eighty four. If you want
to go over, I'm gonna go eighty two. Actually, okay,
it got curious. Borderlands three? Is that an eighty one
on Open Critic?
Speaker 1 (01:17:06):
What did tiny Tina do? That's a good question, which
may should have looked that up.
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
I don't even really know what is it?
Speaker 5 (01:17:14):
Away like she did something wrong when she completed a crime?
Speaker 1 (01:17:20):
Twiny Tina's Wonderlands? What can I find? Oh my god,
get tiny Tina's there? You go Wonderlands.
Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
Open Critic is sitting at a wonder world? Uh seventy eight? Oh, actually,
reviewed words, I thought people like that one even a
little bit more.
Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
That's actually better than I thought I would do.
Speaker 1 (01:17:37):
It's a downwards trajectory.
Speaker 3 (01:17:38):
So maybe you took the under ship.
Speaker 1 (01:17:41):
I wish you took the over all.
Speaker 4 (01:17:43):
Right, Next up, game number fifteen, Silent Hill f as
Jeff going first on this one?
Speaker 1 (01:17:51):
What would be last? Then I'm gonna use my research
clause now so far, thank you?
Speaker 3 (01:17:56):
I see I'm seeing it the second one.
Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
In Okay, the range we're talking about a lot of that.
Speaker 2 (01:18:06):
It's much much older. So let's just kind of look
at this one. This is not Bluebird Team though, So
I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with an eighty three.
Speaker 4 (01:18:17):
Eighty three? Got it?
Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
Yeah, it's tough because anything we really have that's slightly
relevant is Silon Hill two. But again now was Blueber Team.
Speaker 1 (01:18:26):
It was a remake.
Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
I bet this is not as well received as that.
Speaker 1 (01:18:30):
Yet it's like, it looks pretty good. What did Jeff say?
Eighty three?
Speaker 3 (01:18:35):
I still think Simon Hill is like kind of an
a bit of an up swing. I guess I'll be
optimistic and saying eighty four.
Speaker 4 (01:18:41):
Alrighty, the last game is I was hoping you got
under their Mike Sonic Racing Cross Worlds and Mike is
going first.
Speaker 1 (01:18:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
I played this game and it was fun. Jeff played
it two. I think that the somewhat like you know,
there is a contingent people a bit disappointed with World,
and I think that's gonna give this game a little
bit of it Boo. It's not a crazy one. Don't
think people are gonna come this and be like it's
so much better.
Speaker 1 (01:19:09):
Than Marito Kart World. But people, some people are gonna
prefer this.
Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
They will. There's some mechanic cent that I can already
see being a little tiring to some people like there's
a ton of customization and in a way that I
almost don't find good personally.
Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
I find it kind of annoying.
Speaker 3 (01:19:26):
In the whole cross world thing, where like the second
lap is always something different. But I was even getting
some repeats already during my demo, so like, how many
of those are? Though maybe there's weren't a lot of
the demo I will say in eighty two for Sonic
Cracing Crossworlds.
Speaker 1 (01:19:42):
Gotcha last guest, Jeff, That's that's an easy under there.
Eighty one. I think it's gonna be in the seventies.
Speaker 4 (01:19:48):
Shit, I think realistic possibility.
Speaker 5 (01:19:51):
Yeah, and how could we listened ninety?
Speaker 1 (01:19:55):
But that's what I got.
Speaker 2 (01:19:55):
I got eighty one. A right, that's a couple of
points right there. I'm all right there, what do you guys?
Speaker 4 (01:20:00):
I want to look up Racing Transformed for me. I'm
just kind of morbidly curious. It's been a while, but
I'm kind of curious how that did back in the day.
I know Sonic Racing was perceived worse, but this one's
more like, uh, it's like transformed with kind.
Speaker 1 (01:20:17):
Of uh that is come on, critic, Oh, this team's racing.
I guess go to Metacritic.
Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
So now I'm not feeling great because that like, I
don't think this is I don't think this is gonna
be better than Sonic All Starts Racing transformed and.
Speaker 4 (01:20:33):
Also different era. Maybe people will like the fans service
in this way, I guess what is.
Speaker 3 (01:20:40):
Worth the fan services is going to be as good
because it is like it's a little i don't know, weirder,
and it's it's more like outside of Sega or they.
Speaker 4 (01:20:47):
Also haven't announced everything yet, so may there will be
some faithful Sega stuff that they're like, yeah, this isn't
for like the newer fans that will hide this a
little until do probably like seventy low seventies or something.
It wasn't very good.
Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
Game wasn't very good. My team Sonic Racing has a
like seventy four.
Speaker 4 (01:21:10):
Yeah that sounds right. Okay, Well, anyways, Wolf is hoping
that you guys have fun and stop letting Mike's strength grow. Jeff,
I need to bring this up a summary for everyone
that I will.
Speaker 1 (01:21:27):
I don't have to do that.
Speaker 4 (01:21:31):
For the audio listeners. There's a lot of games here,
as I'll try to keep it brief for this quarter.
Tony Hawk's pro Skater three plus four Jeff Guest eighty eight,
Mike is guessing eighty seven, Donkey Kong Bonanza Jeff ninety,
Mike ninety one, Shadow Labyrinth Jeff eighty two, Mike eighty
Ninja Guiden, Rage Bound Jeff eighty three, and Mike eighty four.
(01:21:55):
Mafia the Old Country Jeff seventy two, Mike seventy one.
Drag and Drive Jeff seventy, Mike sixty nine. Nice Dying
Like the Beast Jeff with seventy eight, Mike with seventy five.
Mail your Solid Delta Snake Eater Jeff said eighty eight,
Mike said eighty nine, Lost All Side Jeff with eighty,
(01:22:17):
Mike with seventy five. Schanobi Art of Vengeance Jeff eighty five,
Mike eighty six. Hell is Us Once Again Close Jeff
eighty one, Mike eighty. Everybody's Golf hot Shots Jeff is
seventy seven, Mike was seventy six. Baby Steps Jeff is
seventy eight, Mike was seventy seven. Borderlands four Jeff said
(01:22:38):
eighty two, Mike said eighty three. Silent Hill f Jeff
went with eighty three. Mike went with eighty four and lastly,
Sonic Racing Cross Worlds. Jeff said eighty one. Mike said
eighty two. Good luck, guys, We'll see how this turns out.
Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Thanks Sean, Thanks Wolf, looking forward to it. That's a lie,
but hey, it's always it's always fun to see your
friends have fun.
Speaker 4 (01:23:02):
So that's good too.
Speaker 1 (01:23:08):
All right, let's let's take that break and then we'll
come back.
Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
We'll talk about what we've been playing, clean up the
super chats, and get out of here for the night
right after this.
Speaker 1 (01:23:20):
All right, we're back, Mike, what have you been playing?
Speaker 3 (01:23:24):
You know, the rematch was kind of the big new
thing I've done since probably last talking to people, and
I did enjoy that we talked about though, But yeah,
like it's fun. I like the flexibility also of three
v three, four, four versus four, five versus five. Like
that seems like it should be such a simple thing,
but so many games feels like they don't give you options,
even though it should be an easy ask.
Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
And it's got plenty of players to be able to
fill out all those different variations.
Speaker 1 (01:23:47):
So yeah, no problem whatsoever. I get what you're selling.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
We're fine with all those variations. Too, and it feels
very different too. Yeah, three v three is very different from.
Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
Five five, So yeah, I was enjoying that. But you know,
more Spoto two campaign kind of getting towards the end
of that one. More actually not a ton of secoro
this week. Spend another strange busy week. But Jeff, I
mean you were playing system Shock too right the remaster.
Speaker 1 (01:24:14):
I'm kind of curious.
Speaker 3 (01:24:15):
I didn't get to watch that video yet, but I
play system off Shock two back in the day, just
because you know, I liked Half Life one so much.
I thought it was so neat, and people kind of
were like, system Shock two is kind of like the
only other thing that's sort of like that on the
market right now. So I played a little bit of
it back then. I just remember the training, like the
tutorial being really cool in the game. I don't know
if you did that part.
Speaker 1 (01:24:36):
Yeah, yeah, the tutorial was really good.
Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
The Also, the way you like select your your perks
is fun because you just like it like skips ahead
into your four year tour that you're doing and you
have to like go different rooms depending on like who
you want to help, and you're getting on different ships
and flying there and it skips all the actual stuff
that happens. It's just a way of specking out your
character and that's really cool. It's this This remaster is awesome,
(01:25:02):
you know. They they pointed out when I talked to them,
because I had Larry Cooperman and Steven Kick on the
show to talk about it, and they pointed out, like, yeah,
this is kind of where it all started for them,
was a system Shock too. They did an enhanced port
way back in the day, and now they get another
chance to work on it for the twenty fifth anniversary,
and they've learned a lot, and they've been working with
(01:25:22):
the community a lot, and it's something that they really
kind of brought all of their expertise to bear on
this one. And it like works decent with the controller
now not decent, like it were just foll new functions.
You could play this on a Steam deck, you get
play it on console, and that's weird for system Shock
too to me. But yeah, I'm really impressed by this
(01:25:42):
port so far, or this this remaster. It is a
lot more than you would expect for this game that
has so much support from the community, that has found
so many ways to stay relevant. Well, Nightdive did their thing,
and night Dive is fantastic and it's evident here again.
Speaker 1 (01:25:59):
Yeah, that's well scrata here.
Speaker 3 (01:26:00):
I still need to go back and play more of
that system Shock Went remake, which I thought was really good.
I wanted to do more of I think I might
do that before this, but part of me almost wants
to gimp. And they are kind of two different things
in a lot of ways. System like the first system
Shock that was warre Inspector kind of doing his immersive
SIMS sort of thing, you know. This is Ken Levine
(01:26:21):
kind of taking some of that early BioShock stuff there.
Speaker 1 (01:26:23):
This is the one.
Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
I'm like, oh, we're doing atmospheric stuff and there's RPG
kind of mechanics in some ways, that's you know, the
vibe in this one and.
Speaker 1 (01:26:31):
More horror also.
Speaker 2 (01:26:33):
Yeah, yeah, I really enjoyed that system Shock remake, So
you're right now, I want to spend more time with that.
Speaker 1 (01:26:41):
As well, and maybe I'll do that. There's no reason
I couldn't go back and forth.
Speaker 2 (01:26:46):
But yeah, system Shock Too is definitely one and more
like right now, got that going on the Steam deck.
Might try to play some of that on the vacation
on the vacation because it's been one of those games
where as a kid seeing my brother playing it on
his PC and not really understanding what it meant and.
Speaker 1 (01:27:00):
Kind of be like, oh, system Shock too, I haven't
you know, I haven't even heard of this.
Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
I'm you know, I'm playing console games and he's playing this,
and then getting a couple of years later and already
at that time system Shock to you building up this
reputation and be going, oh no, I do know about
that game.
Speaker 1 (01:27:13):
My brother was into that. So finally realizing a way.
Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
To play it, because I never actually played through that
game in any real way, it's been great to actually
do that.
Speaker 1 (01:27:23):
Anything else from you, Oh no, no, not really.
Speaker 3 (01:27:27):
So we can look at some more of the super
chats if you would like to.
Speaker 1 (01:27:30):
Yeah, yeah, that sounds good to me. Awesome. Let's see.
Speaker 3 (01:27:33):
I think we got a few more here. Where did
I leave off? I think we're at Gurneil says, you
bunch of sickos. Trying to darrow twenty five years of
games the top ten is impossible. Every time look up
at the games released in a given year, I have
to reconsider eight percent on my list. The weird thing
about Joe just when I first year, like oh, the
twenty five or the ten best games of the century
(01:27:55):
so far, Like I don't even think about like the
first five years of that. And that's so many things
right there, right, that's you know, like all like that's
like all of PS two and GameCube and Xbox and
like this big PC games World of Warcraft is there.
So yeah, it's actually pretty wild to have to do that.
Best part of the fun is that you do have
to make some hard choices.
Speaker 1 (01:28:16):
Yeah, it's uh, it's painful for sure, because there's so
many games I had to leave off the I'm like,
these are on some days my favorite games ever.
Speaker 4 (01:28:25):
For sure.
Speaker 1 (01:28:26):
I think about these games all the time. I'm like, yeah,
that's the best thing I've ever played. And because it
just it's so deep video gaming over the last twenty
five years.
Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
Uh see here now, mikey o Lear says, following the
news for Mike last week of Atlantis Merch Heroes and
Villains now has herk merch too. Yes, so Hero's Villas
is apparel company and they did some Atlantis Lust Empire
designs and oh yeah, mine came in today, which is
great because I could take it on my trip now
(01:28:55):
that I'll take a look at the Hirk stuff. I
don't know if I'll jump I'll jump.
Speaker 1 (01:28:58):
On that as quickly, but uh know, Atlantis Is don't
get much merch of that, Mike.
Speaker 2 (01:29:03):
Is there like a community of people who like keep
track of Disney merch, like especially clothing, Because there was
a a short like beat shorts and sweater set that
was at Disney World, and it was kind of expensive,
so I didn't get it, and now I'm like really
regretting it because it's like it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:20):
Was like it just was such my vibe and there
are people who kind of like will take your order
and go to Disney World and.
Speaker 1 (01:29:28):
Shop for you.
Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
Yeah, I hope they still have it because it was
there when I was there, and like how often do
they refresh that stuff? I have no idea, but I
was able to find the shorts, I'll say that. But
I'm looking for the sweaters still, so I'm gonna keep
an eye on keep my eye.
Speaker 3 (01:29:40):
Oh you know some you might know somebody's going to
Disney World, so maybe I'll keep an eye hut for you.
Speaker 1 (01:29:44):
I'll I'll let you know exactly know what it was.
Speaker 3 (01:29:47):
Yeah, let's hear now, heck's process Croc the better take
controls platformer on PlayStation. Somehow is Worset filling water levels
than Rascal looks at Crocs living water?
Speaker 1 (01:29:57):
What the hell?
Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
Piney, It's funny. I never even I've never played a
second of Croc, which is more popular Take control three
D platform.
Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
Yeah, it's sing you know Croc is it is overrated
for sure?
Speaker 3 (01:30:12):
Oh yeah, absolutely? Uh b rt R sins this might
know that CIAM was in talks with Disney back in
the day to make a Missed island in Bay Lake
visitors solving puzzles, exploring mechanisms. Pee, I do know about this.
Speaker 1 (01:30:26):
I talked.
Speaker 3 (01:30:27):
I've talked about it a bit. I don't think I
brought it up extensively on Monday Morning miss with Mitch.
I guess at some point I will, even though some
eyes may roll. But yeah, yeah, back when, like in
the prime of myst they had this island called Discovery Island.
It was just kind of this little animal. It's calling
it a zoo is overstating. It was mostly birds and
things of that nature that animal exhibits, though, and they
(01:30:48):
were looking to do something else with it. And yeah,
the idea of just sending people on a boat there
dropping them off so they saw puzzles and coming back
at the end of the day to pick them up
as a missed island was a possibility.
Speaker 1 (01:30:59):
That's fun.
Speaker 3 (01:31:01):
Ricky pieces Mike saying it's product under his breath during
the tack on thing was just Milton talking about his
red staple.
Speaker 1 (01:31:08):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:31:09):
They were like doing the They like discovered this bit
in one of our meetings of Chief product Officer Mike
being like, that's my thing because I'm product and Dan
going that's my things. I'm chief content officer, and they
were amusing themselves fighting over it and now it's now
it's gonna be a thing.
Speaker 1 (01:31:25):
I was enjoying it too.
Speaker 3 (01:31:26):
Yeah, uh, all right, that's it.
Speaker 1 (01:31:28):
Thank you everybody.
Speaker 2 (01:31:31):
All right, yeah, thanks for all the super chats everybody
has always. Thanks to everybody for tuning in as always. Mikey,
I think we could probably get out of here.
Speaker 1 (01:31:40):
I'm gonna hit the button. I think, all right, they.
Speaker 3 (01:31:42):
Pack and I said, may Actually I'm not gonna do it.
I'm gonna pack and maybe get like an hour or
two of sleep.
Speaker 2 (01:31:49):
Hell yeah, yeah, I gotta I gotta pack up as
well for my vacation.
Speaker 1 (01:31:53):
Although we're not taking off. We're not driving off until Sunday.
So that's nice. We're going Sunday to Sunday. Yeah, looking
forward to it.
Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
Okay, let's see here, Mike, why don't you tell people
where they can find any of your stuff that might
be happening on the internet or anything else like that.
Speaker 3 (01:32:08):
New nineties Disney is happening on July first. It's on
mupp and Treasure Island, so check that out. But yeah, Giant,
no immemorium for Chris Manati, thankfully Chris Christmas there, he
was doing well. We were maybe uh I'm stating from
(01:32:29):
our usual kind of beard drinking.
Speaker 1 (01:32:31):
Yeah, sure, have a healthy episode.
Speaker 3 (01:32:33):
Yeah yeah, yeah, we're all them a noise are maybe
taking some look at our health choices now.
Speaker 1 (01:32:40):
But yeah, and then uh.
Speaker 3 (01:32:42):
TV special codo job. Gamespeed does a new website? Go
to games be duck on everyone look at a new website.
I think it looks pretty spiffy. So yeah, check thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:32:50):
Yeah, I see, I see Joysey.
Speaker 2 (01:32:52):
I see that you beat me in the Open Critic
game by just guessing that every game would get delayed.
Speaker 3 (01:32:57):
That's fun. You would have actually, you would have gotten
maybe the same points are more.
Speaker 2 (01:33:02):
If you had done that, I think I probably would
have got the same points. Maybe I don't know that,
doule Ah. It's a fun time, fun things we do
here on this on this show, on this program, on
game mess Thanks everybody for just being there hanging out
with us. Thanks everybody's been like hopping into the rooms
and we've been doing Mario Kart World. I always like
(01:33:23):
when I do get a code, sometimes I put it
on social media as well, but I always put it
in the discord first. So if you want DIBs on
that hang out and play, I might might do some
maybe tonight even Oh. Also, Mike, we told Christian this,
I had no time to watch Colombo.
Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
I had no time to watch Columbo.
Speaker 3 (01:33:40):
I did, Christian, I'm a good boy. I also, Jeff,
so I'm glad you didn't because I literally have to
like leave for the airport in four hours or something.
Speaker 1 (01:33:50):
YEA, looks like you do that.
Speaker 2 (01:33:52):
Thanks for watching, everybody. Tell me next time, have a
good one, take care of yourself, and goodbye. Oh I
never fixed the scene here, Look at that, explain Turmish.
I'm playing Mario car Hell.
Speaker 3 (01:34:11):
Yeah, what are they going to give Rosalina?
Speaker 4 (01:34:13):
Super deep Tan. You don't need it.
Speaker 1 (01:34:22):
You can go up the fall. Yeah a penis.
Speaker 3 (01:34:35):
Those are great liquid explosions.
Speaker 1 (01:34:40):
What what was the great liquid explosion? Do you remember?
Speaker 4 (01:34:45):
It was from a video game?
Speaker 1 (01:34:47):
I can't remember.
Speaker 4 (01:34:48):
It's from some games, all right?
Speaker 5 (01:34:49):
By recording people, m hm, you can't cast you a loop,
az CAMMI, she's a cup o commy is is a
cycle soldier? Then she's the regular soldier.
Speaker 1 (01:35:05):
Isn't she the guy that worked on the Eric Andre
shows directing what's happening?
Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
That's not cams and Bison's replacement body, Christian.
Speaker 5 (01:35:16):
Come on now, yeah, she's a cycle It's a cycle soldier.
That's the correct nomenclature. Issues use the cycle doll.
Speaker 1 (01:35:25):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (01:35:26):
I could have think about the world doll. That's what
I was missing.
Speaker 1 (01:35:28):
Why do you have a fucking inventory in a bubble
bubble game? What the hell?
Speaker 5 (01:35:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
Oh, the more I look at this, more up said
I get Oh my god, this is an ugly character.
The last move lie profile.
Speaker 1 (01:35:45):
Okay, I am ready to get back into it.
Speaker 5 (01:35:50):
Ah right, bring it back. Oh, Ronald, get prep everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:36:02):
Yeah, I'm getting prepped, getting preppy.
Speaker 4 (01:36:11):
Wait the streaming, but wait, they took away server ten
eighty P streaming.
Speaker 5 (01:36:25):
Do you pay for it? Are we not?
Speaker 1 (01:36:29):

Speaker 4 (01:36:29):
We were level three boost. No, it's only leting me
do seven twenty thirty. I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:36:40):
Yeah, I'm no.
Speaker 4 (01:36:40):
I'm looking looking at the gear and.
Speaker 5 (01:36:43):
I can do one hundred and forty four one hundred
and forty I thought that I can do like.
Speaker 4 (01:36:50):
Oh no, it is okay.
Speaker 3 (01:36:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:36:52):
I was giving me a pop up that said you
can always shrea an issue of Nitro and it still
has the message on bombas screen, but now it's let
me change it. Weird, okay.
Speaker 5 (01:37:02):
Lets sometimes there we go. My friend and we were
watching the Mega Man cut scenes or some ship, and
my friends brought up the paper clip thing about thet
lie and she just cracked me up. I think about
that ship all the time because he definitely looks like
a fucking Nazi.
Speaker 4 (01:37:23):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:37:27):
I'm just trying to find the first last Night dogs.
That's your mhm, good Jeffs.
Speaker 3 (01:37:39):
Huh these are good Jeffs. No, what of us Jeffs'
is a good gifts or Jefs?
Speaker 4 (01:37:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:37:45):
There you go, I'll understand you. Now, do you speak
really jeff people?
Speaker 4 (01:37:49):
People? You know?
Speaker 3 (01:37:50):
I was I was there for a while. I think
people who care about how you pronunce Jeff have to
get a new thing. I don't know, yes, I don't care.
Speaker 5 (01:37:56):
I just know they did an annoys you, so I
want to care if you bring it up.
Speaker 4 (01:38:01):
I think you're the one who cares. Christian.
Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
You can't play the UNI reverse card like that. What
do you mean?
Speaker 5 (01:38:07):
I did the same ship deal a time where you
say and anger you, so I want to keep doing
it work.
Speaker 1 (01:38:15):
Okay, let me try that. There we go. Okay, I
just got to get the cams, so I got to
rebuild this scene. Everybody. That's just where we're at.
Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
I'll continue looking at this gameplay trailer of Bubble Bubble
and getting mad.
Speaker 5 (01:38:33):
Dear me, coma I was done, looks pretty nice. I'm
sorry we don't got a bland new blast blue and like, okay,
that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
The best I thought, Like, I guess I kind of
like assumed they would show like one new character for
Marvel Token.
Speaker 1 (01:38:53):
But.
Speaker 3 (01:38:55):
Publishing like kind of, I guess, okay, makes.
Speaker 4 (01:39:00):
You better believe we're gonna have at least a character,
if not like a team announced Medivo though, Oh yeah
for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:39:08):
Oh yeah, are you going again, Sean.
Speaker 4 (01:39:12):
Yeah, I'll be there with a friend this time. He's
going to compete, but I did get pressed bade, so
I'm just going for me this time.
Speaker 5 (01:39:24):
I competed on the World Warrior thing the other day
and I got my ass destroyed. Oh thank you, yeah,
take my ass?
Speaker 4 (01:39:40):
Oh, Wolf, chat Wolf. I had to change the Jeff
gift because we we don't use the previous one anymore
for reasons. Oh yeah, it was an extremely similar one
to this one. Shall we say? Okay?
Speaker 1 (01:39:56):
All right, yeah, for legal reasons. Yeah. And then Mike Face,
Oh no, what happened there?
Speaker 4 (01:40:10):
All good? Well, fall good?
Speaker 1 (01:40:16):
Right right, mechan Ice.
Speaker 3 (01:40:17):
I just I'm just so confused, Like, look, I'm not
saying you have to do pixels.
Speaker 1 (01:40:23):
You can do a two D thing, but god, it
looks rough.
Speaker 3 (01:40:29):
They don't even show the other They don't even show Bob.
It's just Bub or whatever, Like where's the other one.
It's like the most two player co oppy thing I
never think of, and it looks like it might be
single player only, Like what's going on.
Speaker 5 (01:40:42):
Here, Bob?
Speaker 3 (01:40:48):
Or did they think like the reveal of Bub is
some big drop for later.
Speaker 4 (01:40:54):
On Twitter?
Speaker 5 (01:40:55):
And everything always struck me as a mom game like
my mom played Bubble Bubble like old lady game.
Speaker 1 (01:41:04):
Mhm, tobia suck. Now what has happened? It's fine for me.
Something's wrong with euro.
Speaker 5 (01:41:11):
To me? Yeah, I don't know what you're doing over
the buddy.
Speaker 4 (01:41:14):
I've been having obs issues too.
Speaker 1 (01:41:15):
I've been talking to people have been having obis issues
as well.
Speaker 5 (01:41:18):
Yeah, I was having obo isshes and then if they stop,
I wonder.
Speaker 4 (01:41:23):
If it's I wonder if it's a new and video
driver issue, because yeah, you surprised because their drivers are asked,
especially for a five thousand series. I don't I don't
know if I told you guys, I got a fifty seventy,
and I've had several issues since.
Speaker 1 (01:41:40):
I think that might be it.
Speaker 4 (01:41:42):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:41:42):
We're good though now, so I'm ready to bring us back.
Speaker 5 (01:41:46):
Sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:41:46):
I was making fun of the fits the only why
I could get m s R.
Speaker 5 (01:41:49):
P Oh, alright, let's do this. Mhm, it's the.
Speaker 1 (01:42:01):
Break fantastic, all right, you need to do anything, Mike
or you good to go?
Speaker 3 (01:42:08):
I'm to go, right, let's it.
Speaker 1 (01:42:11):
Okay
