Speaker 1 (00:26):
It's the Internet. You're busy, let's do this. Welcome to
the Game As Decides Podcast. This is the podcast where
we decide everything about the world of games, so you
never have to think for yourself. I'm your host Jeff Grubbin.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
With me is Mike Manatti.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
In today's episode, Crafton pushes Subnautica to release to twenty
twenty six and Subnatica fans are upset and maybe rightfully so.
Also got a Donkey Kong draft, which I don't know
what that means. I guess we're gonna find out live.
We got sent in a game. We're yeah, exactly, It's
gonna be a good time. But Mike, how are you doing?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
I am doing pretty good. It's been another busy week,
that's all right. I allowed myself to take a nap today,
not just because I've been working hard, because I woke
up with the mother of all Charlie horses today. Right
right right, it's just left left calf, left calf. Yeah, yeah,
it was like just the only thing it helps is

(01:16):
getting up and sitting as straight as possible, even this one.
It was not satiated by that. It's just like it's
still been like kind of sore all day just whatever
that cramp was, so you know what, I'm in pain. Also,
I can't take any pain killers right now because I've
only allowed to take tail and Old because I have
a klenoscopy on Monday and I don't have Thailand old,
and I just don't want to leave the house. So

(01:38):
I was just like, I'll just take a nap instead.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Are you one like the pre colonoscopy diet stuff yet?
Is that what maybe caused the Charlie horse because that
isn't that like sodium related or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I don't know. No, I don't have to do anything.
I think maybe I better check my questions. I don't
think I did do anything until the day before where
it's just nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
But like, well that's what I was asking. Is it
like maybe you're a little dehydrated or something. I don't
get get some gatorade, get some uh, get some electrolytes
in the don't worry.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Buddy, I got this diet doctor Pepper.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
It's got a doctor right name. I mean, it's gonna
heal everything.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Got a dinosaur on it, so you know it's good
for you, just like Swiss stones vitamins, those have dinosaurs.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Everything dinosaur related is basically the fountain of youth.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
It's going to keep you alive. Yeah, just like the dinosaurs.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah, nothing bad ever happened to them.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, they they're doing great. Never got old.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Uh yeah I was okay, So I'm glad you got
your nap in. I've been like doing stuff NonStop. But
I'm feeling ready to do these podcasts tonight and by these,
we got another one we're gonna do right after this.
For Colombo, that was a good episode. I actually enjoyed.
I'm ready to talk about it.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yes, it's so yeah. I always do like the I
love what the episode could be summed up. And Steve
in one word and this one is chess. It's a
pretty good word. So yeah, yeah, let's say, sir, let's
have Colombo, uh take down a chess master. That's fun.

Speaker 1 (02:52):

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Jilt right now and messaging the game clubs, the schedule,
the blue prints discussion. So there we go, moving the
ball on that thing. Isn't it wild that We're back
at Diaesle story had more of a cultural impact than
Pixar's attempt to make a dinosaur movie.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Yeah that is that is weird. Okay, so mixed Pixars
was the Good Dinosaur? Which one was it?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
The Good Dinosaur? And then We're Back was like, who
was that? Because it wasn't Amplin Amblant dead Land Before Time,
which is definitely be.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
This That felt like a ripoff of the ambling Land
Before Time. We're Back.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
They're not related, No, they're not related at all. We're
Back was done by Oh's Universe, So which weird is universe?
It is ambulance? Still interesting? What that ambler couldn't get
enough of dinosaurs? I mean, this was not made a
lot of money on Dinosaur. Sorry we're very part I
mean that movie came out in ninety three, that came

(05:02):
out the same Euros Jurassic Park. What good timing?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah that that I bet that sold a ton on
VHS because of that u Oh, that kid like the
Dinosaur movie. Get him a dinosaur cartoon movie.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
There you go, right right, I'm now cred it's box
office was only nine point three million, but I bet
you're right. All of that movie's money was made on vhs.
John Goodman plays the Dinosaur.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Home video cassette a blockbuster right there, if I've ever
seen one.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Be a bunch of those. Back in the day, man
al sorts of Austin Powers Wanted Nothing at the box
office was a big early DV DV.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Yeah, it's the first DVD comedy people would get with
their Matrix DV. This got to get Austin Powers that
I had Lost in Space, that like action movie.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
I think they just gave that away with the DVD,
like here's a CG monkey in this. I'm like, okay, all.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Right, big topics of the week, let's just get into it.
Not a ton happening. Nintendo had a bunch of like
little tidbits, but it was like stuff like oh, Donkey
Kung Bananza's produced. There is you know, someone who's worked
on other Mario games, like a three D Mario games.
And then they brought in a new director, someone who
worked on Sonic Adventure too. Mike, that's who is directing.

(06:12):
He's been with Nintendo since twenty twenty, to be fair, probably,
but probably got involved with this game because of his
history of working on some open world action games, and
sounds like they wanted to bring that to bear on this.
But that's the kind of stuff we've been getting out
of Nintendo.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
I do wonder because, like I know, your take earlier
on Game Mess of Mornings with That was so this
is like definitely a sign that was everybody on the
Mario team was working on this game. I bet that's
a little bit. Yeah. Yeah, but Party was wondering, well,
if the director of Odysty was just a just a producer.
I shouldn't say, but producer is a role that kind
of can be anything. It could be a glorified supervisor

(06:49):
or less, or it can be more than a director. Right, Yes,
maybe he was doing just some actual supervisor producer stuff. Wow,
largely focusing us up it's on the next Mario game.
I don't know. Maybe that's as possible. Yeah, I don't
blame anyone for thinking that. I just I'm not getting
my hopes up.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I feel like this is a team that's been making
this Donkey Kong game for a few years now. You know,
the reasons to get hopeful about it is that they
did say they were originally planning to release that game
on the Switch one and just like just like Mario
Kart World or whatever it is, and they were going
to do that, and then when they saw the switch too,
they said, let's move it to there. I bet it

(07:30):
was going to be like a Switch pro thing. So
I bet this thing's actually been in development for a
very long time and then they just took this extra
time to spruce it up, maybe make it very good,
that's great or whatever. But that could mean that for
a couple of years now, this game could have been
in the hopper mostly ready to go, and the team
could be getting something else ready. So if you want
to get on the hopeful side of Mario is coming

(07:51):
soon alongside this Donkey Kong Bananza game, there's reasons to
think that. I'm just personally not going to get my
hopes up to think that this team that you know,
it doesn't put out a game a year or anything
like that, is suddenly going to have a Mario game
next year as well.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
That's that's just where I'm at Lex Lady with a
super church just now that you Lex says worth noting
and Japan producers tend to be project leads.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, that's kind of like you know, Alan Uma for
a long time and.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Executive producers on those games are the ones that like
could be floating around doing anything, right. But yeah, this
guy sounds like he was day to day managing the project.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
That's fine. I just am very excited for that video
game which is coming out soon. Yep.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
All right, let's let's talk about this Subnautica stuff. Subnautica
one is a game that was very popular, did really well.
The studio i think, got acquired by Crafton and Crafting
the pub g people, and as part of that, there
was some reporting that they had a two hundred and
fifty million dollar bonus due to the development team if

(08:55):
they reached a certain revenue threshold this year, and one
way to reach that threshold was to release Subnautica two
in early access if it's ready. Now, my understanding, Mike,
is it is ready. They want to release this thing.
It's good to go, and that's at the development studio.
But Crafton said no, and you can imagine why because

(09:16):
what if they just waited a few months and then
didn't have to pay two hundred and fifty million dollars
because this game almost certainly is going to brush probably right,
just slam go ahead and slam your dick into the
door there.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Just save some money. I guess.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
This is it's frustrating because I think it's pretty transparent
that that's what's happening. It's been alleged to me that
that's what's happening. Uh But I mean when I look
at it, I'm like, yeah, that seems like a fair
assessment of what's going on over there.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Kind of a rough stuff. Huh. Well, yeah, and there's
been some other developments. Way Crafton came out with like
a response to all of it because they fired the
original project leads yes on the game and then they
like made a response earlier today or it's like we
had to do that because they they just weren't doing
their job and that's why the game has fallen behind.
And it's because of these people, Bob, They're shame on them.

(10:06):
And Jason Schreier just skeeded out about foty six minutes
ago that the those three are suing Crafted now or
they're filing a lawsuit against them. So, hm, that is
the latest development here. Yeah, it sounds incredibly sketchy. I mean,
when when has it ever been the case that the
developer thinks the game is ready, but the publisher is like, nah,

(10:30):
we got to push this thing back, right. It's almost
always the other way around, right.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Right usually? I mean, well, I'm sure like the publishers
have tried to rush things out before. But uh yeah, yeah, exactly,
that's what I mean what you're saying, Yes, that's what
you're saying. Yes, totally. So you're right, very odd scenario
that this one time, when they might be on the
hook for two hundred fifty million dollars, the roles are reversed.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
All of a sudden. There's standards for quality have gone
way up, right, it's not even we're not I don't
even think we're talking about the full least. They were
just talking about releasing the early access for early access game.
That's right, yes, exactly, Like, what are we doing here?
It seems incredibly blatant what they're doing. I'm not an expert,

(11:12):
but it seems illegal to me. I bet that these
three founders are going to have some success with that lawsuit.
Bizarre move from Crafton thinking they could just get away
with this.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yep, there's I mean, there's this statement now from Crafton. Specifically,
in addition to the initial five hundred million dollar purchase price,
we alligated allocated approximately ninety percent of the up to
two hundred and fifty million dollar earn out compensation to
the three former executives with the expectation that they would
demonstrate leadership and active involvement in the development of Sumnautica two. However, regrettably,

(11:48):
the former leadership abandoned the responsibilities and trusted to them.
Su Nautica two was originally planned for an early access
launch in early twenty twenty four, but the timeline has
since been significantly delayed. Crafton made multiple requests to Charlie
Max to reserve they resume their roles as game director
and technical director, respectively, but both declined to do so.
In particular, following the failure of moon Breaker, Crafton asked

(12:08):
Charlie to devote himself to the development of Subnautica two. However,
instead of participating in the game development, he chose to
focus on a personal film project. Crafton believes that the
absence of a core leadership has resulted in repeated confusion
in direction and significant delays in the overall project schedule.
The current early access version also falls shorts in terms
of content volume. We are deeply disappointed by the former

(12:29):
leadership's conduct, and above all, we feel a profound sense
of betrayal by their failure to honor the trust placed
in them by our fans. Jason Treyer also says here
that Crafton blames the founders of Unknown Worlds for issues
with Sybnautica two and says the company will quote provide
the rewards that employees were promised. Unknown world staff have
not been given any specific on what specifics on.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
What that means.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
So now they're out there playing like they're trying to
play the press and the public feeling back against these
people who seemed to have left the company because this
was going down and they could tell it was going
this way.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
So they seem to have resigned. I don't know, I
thought they were fired.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
I thought, uh uh, I think, I mean, I mean,
they're definitely like, hey, they have abandoned their posts. I
don't know if they fired them, they might have. It
seems like a bad breakup.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
No matter what.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
So maybe it's like there's a little combination of of
the of the two, but correct. And it's like, we
told them to come back and work on this thing,
and because they're not, we can't pay anyone any money.
Now they're like, well, we will pay somebody something, although
they aren't saying what that was.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
But I think they're up fired.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Okay, it's so it's bizarre, bizarre.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
I mean, I I just want to hear from the employees, right,
because if these three abandoned their posts and have you know, uh,
you know, quietly quit or something, the employees would know
I suppose, right, we're not going to fool them with this.
If that was the case, if they really think that
the publisher has come in to protect them, then sure,

(14:00):
I'd like to hear from them and see that's the case.
I ain't gonna believe it until I hear it from them, though. Yep.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yeah, so yeah, it sounds like they're like explaining.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Why they fired him, like he's working on a personal
film project instead of making the game.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
Yeah, Okay, it definitely seems like they have likely violated
the contract. And if these employees, if the people that
were these executives are able to prove that it's gonna
be a pretty slam dunk case. Although I could imagine
Crafton just being like, nevermind, let's settle and get this
over with. I hope, you know, I hope this means
the team that's working on Subnatica TU can just continue

(14:36):
to do that work and also get that money they
were promised and get that game out and the fans
can get that game. It's seems like a car crash
waiting to happen, where it's like, oh, you might wake
up one of these days and be like, oh, that
project's just not coming out because Crafton is washing their
hands of it.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
It kind of seems like a Kurbal space program to
your situation. Yeah, that's like we had this giant hit
indec Yeah right, and then like some big poster comes
in to buy them the sequels common and it just
kind of doesn't work out or there's even more drama there.
But crap, you know, the the the RPG that's mostly
dialogue everybody likes, where there's all this drama with the

(15:11):
sequel to that thing, and if that's ever going to happen, no,
because yea, go ahead, Christian, Oh, I was.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
It's kind of different.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Got rewards him Curble.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
It was absoutly different Kerbel because yeah, because Kerbel was
like in a bad place as a game. This reportedly
is kind of ready to go for early access and
disco elicium.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
That's what I was trying to say there. Yes, sorry,
thank you. Yeah, it's not your bat for not knowing
what I'm trying. What game I forgot the name of Jeff.
Don't worry.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
I just wasn't there to help, and I feel terrible.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
No, it's okay, you know, I was a little bit
left out there, but like I didn't give you much.
Actually I didn't give you much.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I've always wanted to try Subnautica, so it's like big
on my do list, and it kind of already had
a sequel with that, like Antarctic one, right.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Sub zero or something like that.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yeah, whatever it was, Yeah, I'll check that out.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Maybe I'll even buy it again.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Try to help that studio reach their revenue goals, although
that's probably not going to be possible unless they are
able to release.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
So it would be so funny if like everybody just
buys some Nautica one and they reach those revenue goals.
Anyways exactly, Yeah, but just just weird weird stuff there.
And you you know, I think you heard you betch
you gave us mornings too. That Crafton is the company
that bought the High Fight Rush studio, right, so we're
all like real happy about that. But are these people

(16:42):
evil weirdos?

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Is now the question definitely seems like cutthroat to a
degree that just is very again, very transparent. There's some
new Astrobot levels. It received five free levels and some
along a weighted cameos. Astrobot has received a free update,
adding five new levels in the Vicious Void galaxy, bringing

(17:03):
the total level count over ninety, almost as many levels
as Super Mario World. Mike, I guess that's exits many worlds,
so maybe it's it's beating super Mario World. Now there
are new bots in there. I feel like people will
probably consider these spoilers, so it's it just happened, and
maybe we'll save them.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Any that you think we should just say, I had
to go just look because I I don't really care,
but I bet people might yell at us. Jeff, I
bet we can't say here, but it's it's you know,
I will say, like, oh, I think a lot of
people are wondering where are these guys at, And well,
here they are. So I do wonder how they weren't
there originally, and I wonder what negotiations or what happened

(17:42):
to cause that to be. But whatever it was, they
finally got something to happen here. So that's nice, yep.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
And then the FBI has seized a prominent Nintendo switch
piracy site. The FBI, and collaboration with a Dutch agency,
has saved nsw twou, a prominent Nintendo switch piracy site,
redirecting its homepage to a takedown notice issued by a
US district court in Georgia. This action reflects Nintendo's intensified

(18:09):
anti piracy efforts, especially since the recent launch of Switch
to Nintendo has been permanently banning Switch to users who
insertin MiG switch cartridges, which is a R four equivalent.
For anyone remembers that for the three DS or the DS,
I should say, just a card you can put in
your thing, Put an SD card in that, and then
you can play essentially pirated games.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Man, Nintendo's still on this in a very very extreme way,
to the point where it's like now getting US courts
to activate the FBI in international regions, so that a
Dutch agency will go after a website and take it
down or replace it. It is wild, but I think
this is just where Nintendo's at with this stuff right now,

(18:51):
where they're in the early days of the switch too,
and they're kind of salting the earth. They're trying to
make sure that like there's no good ground to go
to for anyone that wants to start up one of
these websites already has one. It's like, hey, it should
feel dangerous to deal with switch to and switch one
piracy right now is Nintendo's position, and I feel that way.

(19:12):
I certainly bet. I bet that a lot of that
scene is feeling that way as well. Do you think
this legitimately delays active piracy on the switch to to
any real effect.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
It's hard tell because the pirates, you know, pirates don't care, right,
They're kind of like China like that, I think, but
you know, they're they're they have defiance and they have
their own goals. I I don't know if this specifically
is going to delay them too much. It seems like
the architecture might delay them a little bit. I'm not sure. Yeah,

(19:44):
but no, I bet I bet they're still going at
it with the same zeal they what's at sometimes even
get emboldened by this sort of stuff. I don't know
about that. I'm a coward personally, yeap.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
I uh, you know, I've always dabbled in stuff. I
like the hell of my three DS and that was
like a fun process. They have not taken that down.
It seems like because you know, three DS is end
of life. They don't make the three DS anymore. They
don't really even sell three DS games anymore. So it's
like that they just kind of leave alone the Switch one.
They still do make that, and they sell that in stores.

(20:15):
They also sell those games for sure. That's almost like
the probably the vast majority of sales are actually coming
from Switch one games. When you take into consideration, there's
a lot of updated Switch one games, but there's a
massive library and that stuff all works on the switch too.
So I think they're like, we want to again kind
of make people feel like they will get in trouble

(20:37):
if they mess around in this space, and you can
only do that so much to the public before that,
like they that it turns really bad going after the
actual proprietors of these websites or anyone like running a
Patreon to create an emulator that might use some copyrighted
code that that seems to be the target that they're
favoring right now. And it's draconian and kind of, like

(20:59):
A said, extreme, but that's that's who Nintendo is right now.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Yeah, maybe instead of going at their emulators, they should
fix their GameCube emulator. Yeah, I get them, I forgot,
I got I bet the same people work on both
of those things.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
That's the big problem. Yeah, they can only do one
or the other.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Big problem over there.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
It's it's shameful, Jeff, I have nothing else in terms
of headlines. Like I said, not a ton happening. Although
there was that Ghost of Yota thing that happened. I
was busy this evening so I didn't get to watch it.
But I bet it's I bet it's Ghost to Yota.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
You're right. I mean these direct for a single game.
It's often I'm like, well, there's like a many real
news there that I probably care about. Also, like I
you know, I'm not unexcited for gost to Yota, but
I know everything I needed to play that game. I
thought that even when there was the Donkey Kong direct.
I was like, I don't even want to see anymore.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Then they had a lot more interesting things to show
us the tech game.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
But yeah, I mean, I don't know. I don't think
anything crazy happened with Here's coming out October second. Right, Yeah,
here's the headline from from Video Games Chronicle. Ghost to
Yota is getting special PS five covers, controllers, and bundles.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
So yeah, like if you want to celebrate Ghost Uota,
I mean, I tell you what, these look really nice.
It's like this white with the side and toys. Right,
It's it's got this like gold paint on it that
is like drawing a mountain or whatever.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
It looks really cool.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
But yeah, as far as the game goes, it's like, yeah,
we're making this game. It looks cool and you're gonna
be excited about it. It's like, yeah, totally. I didn't
really need the uh the PlayStation stay to play for that.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
My only my only hesitation is there, like the theme
of this game is Underdog Vengeance. I'm like, oh, finally
we're exploring vengeance as a seam and it's Samurai story
and it's.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Like there are masked special like enemies you got to
take out and it's like, man, I get it, but
Assassin's Creed literally did just do this like you. Of
course that game was in parallel development, you guys couldn't
really have known. But it's gonna feel a little bit
weird now. Of course Ghost is going to have more
fans because there's just people who like those games better
than the Assassin's Creed games.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
But still just a little weird. It's hard to get
super excited about it. All right.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
I guess I've been playing freaking uh Zacharo, and I
might be ruined on action combat games for a little
bit out of all uh huh.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
For a bit. Yep.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
All right, let's take a break. When we come back,
we will talk. We'll take the super chats, talk about those,
and we'll do.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
That right after this. All right, we are back.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
We're getting some super chats, so Mike, let's read those.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
All right, Thank you so much, everybody. Uh again, the
chat summer of it. If you were in the chats,
are discussing the Yo Tai game and comparing it to
Ghost of Sushima, and that's great. Shadows some viewers are
excited about, while others feel samuraied out that is true.
Uh Twobvers in the first one here says Roger Rabbit
is loosely based on the script that would have been
the third part of the Chinatown trilogy. Pepo, what well

(23:58):
if you I mean brought Rabbit is very It's it's
almost distinctly specifically a parody of Chinatown. You know, there's
a it's like film noir in general. But when I
was you know, when I finally did watch Chinatown, I
really was like, uh, this is the Roger Rabbits, right,

(24:18):
and just like the you know, hiring the detective to
take the pictures of the girl and the bad guy
trying to buy It's like the water system in Chinatown.
It's the trolley and Roger Rabbit. That's a great movie,
by the way, Still Roger Rabbit, that thing is still fantastic.
I've not watched it in quite some time, but I
remember loving it. I'm overdue.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Although I think my wife is afraid of of Christopher
Lloyd in that movie.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
So your wife has your wife doesn't love old cartoon characters.
I remember this is the thing when kuped was coming out, right.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Yeah that's right, yeah, yeah, they just kind of freaking yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah. I get it. I get it. Has anyone seen
the two jakes speaking of the trilogy, the of Chinatown,
I've never.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Seen to interes saying that would have been the third part,
and I'm like, I didn't even realize there was a
second part, So no, I definitely have.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Directed by Jack Nicholson, right he actually yeah, yeah, good, Adam,
GC says can't wait to have y'all on in the
background while playing Tony Hawk.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Yeah, do a kick flip there you go.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
I'm excited. I'm excited to put some Tony Hawk tomorrow.
It's a little annoying that because when we're doing our
quick look, I was like, how can I reset the goals?
I could do them there. It turns out you can't
until you like one game. You have to get all
the pro goals and other things also, and then you
can do the solo career mode thing or whatever it all.
It is. So listen to me, it's wold to man,

(25:44):
I gotta make Yeah, so I'm going to make like
a guest to PlayStation five account, or actually I'll just
start the game up on Steam and just play it there.
I suppose for this thing tomorrow. Jeff, you are the
best time I pro skater player, Do you think you're
the favorite in our No?

Speaker 1 (26:02):
No, definitely not, like cause the way I yeah, I'm
the best at doing the tricks and stuff like that,
and like I'm really in good at that stuff. I
love doing it. But that's how I would play the
game back in the day is sit down, my friends
take turns passing the controller back before I've seeing who
can get the highest score. Finding stuff in games is
a million percent your wheelhouse like, and like I get that,

(26:22):
I'll be able to get the trick scores pretty quickly.
That's fine, But I'm gonna kind of be plodding along
and be like, now, where's that last wheel I gotta spin?
And You'll be like, well, I just know where that is.
This is where the game developer would put it, and
I'm like, yeah, I'm just not thinking on that level.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
So so I've played it all righty, I mean I
think you've been playing it a lot too.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Yeah, I'm like most of the way through three because
I've been playing tiny chunks here and there. But like
as I play, like I'm kind of like, man, where's
this last thing? I can't find it? And I'm like
the five pumpkins in this level, I've only ever seen three.
Are you kidding me? They're destrolling me? So, but also
like just thinking about it in like a streamlined way
where it's like I'm like, oh, I should try to

(27:01):
do this and this and this in one run, But
it's like I don't need to do that because you
don't need to unlock everything in each level to unlock
the next level, which.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Is how I always have played.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
So I think I'm gonna get in my head too
much and it'll be a close race, I bet at
the end of the day.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Uh, it's gonna be a good time either way. Next
up here is from Turbo Jesse. Ever restack your meat
Sometimes the meat is just too dense. Quick restack makes
the sandwich feel lighter in area. This is about Arby's.
By the way, I like my meat kind of dense
and a meat sandwich, Jeff. Honestly, I don't want like

(27:37):
airy meat.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
The Arby's roast beef. It has my permission to be dense. Yes,
there is, Like if I'm making a sandwich at home,
I do try to, like you know, do the fold
and stuff so that there's like a little bit of
a yeah air pocket to it.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
I think that's probably a fair way of assessing it.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
I don't want it to be like flat meat, flat meat,
flat meat like three like bam bam bam.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
I wanted to have so like volume to it.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
So yeah, I understand the necessity to sometimes restack the meat.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
I kill somebody for a roastby sandwich right now, that's
just buddy.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
But like you well, of course, yeah, I listen, brother,
I get it.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Do what you gotta do. Lex lud He says, oh,
that's right. This is the thing about the Japanese producers
tend to be projectly. Thank you again, Lex, thank you.
Lex Antonio Morale says, you all watching all in Texas
card looks that I'm pretty yeah, yeah, I'm pretty sure
I'm going to be doing that. I gotta make sure
my one wrestling buddy camp I kind of went to. Anyways,
I mean, we have Okada and Kenny Omega going at it, right,

(28:39):
so that alone would be great. Have you ever seen
any of those classic Kenny Omego Kona matches from New Japan, Jeff.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
I think I definitely was watching. I watched one of
them when I was like looking when that stuff was
getting really it was really popping off.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
But I haven't seen all of them. I should try
to check that all out. I'm good stuff.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
I want to see some Is he gonna be on
this all in Texas card?

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Oh, I'm sure he. Let's see so else we got?
He got John Moxley versus Hangman Adam Paige the World
Championship Texas Death Match. I assume this is where Moxley's
somewhat not amazing title run comes to an end, and
I think Adam Paige is fantastic. I like Moxley all too,
but I like Adam page a ton I think it's
signed Don't be Champion and timeless Tony Storm versus Mercedes
Money for the Women's Championship absolutely hurts. Syndicate versus Jet

(29:26):
Speed Tag Team match, Adam Cole versus Kyle Fletcher. Here
you go, We're Stricklett and will Ospray versus the Young
Bucks with the EVP titles on the line. Okay, so interesting,
that sounds fun. I was a little surprised that going Like,
when they announced this show, I thought, oh, that's when
they're gonna crown Osprey. Maybe it does feel a little
bit like we're putting him on the back burner at

(29:47):
bit Stuggs. We don't want to make them world champion yet,
but to lose high profile matches constantly either, so mm hmm.
It's like there's other planes FORSU the Casino Royal Gauntlet
match for men and women. So that's like their kind
of money in the bank thing. Uh so two of those,
So yeah, I bet it's gonna be great. AW almost
always those great pay per views, and pay per views

(30:08):
are always good, and I think that we're For a
while there was like man Aw's whole bit is that
they're the WWE alternative. But WW is actually kind of
good right now, and now WW doesn't feel that good right.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Now, so exactly, Yep, that's how it goes. Yeah, so
that's like, I'm back on board with you right now.
But the brother jon in a bug, he should be good.
What are you talking about? Yeah, see, this is why
competition is a good thing.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Yeah. Uh, let's see her now. Next up is Pokey
Eggs is filming forties Mike's kolenoscopy. I do wish I
got a video of that.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Like Mark, Yeah, I feel like they used to do that.
I feel like I've like seen someone's kolonosopy at some
point in my life at one point or another. Maybe
that's like if it's an important kolonoscopy and not like
just one of these one offs that they're doing for fun.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yes, yes, sure that's what my I mean, they must record.
Yeah you got the money, that's what they got j Yeah. Yeah,
but like you're going to record it like that, I
assume it would be kind of weird not to like
what Like, I don't know, did they think, like we
got to go back in there? Are they pretty sure

(31:21):
they're going to see everything they need to see a lot? Right?

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Yeah, yeah you want to. They probably do have a
recording of it themselves, but I don't know. I feel
they just share them share the Look.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Those are the things where you have to ask. They
won't just offer it up. You say something, they'll they'll
they'll send you that video file. Now I'm trying to think,
I really want to see what the inside of my
ass looks like. I mean, it just looks like in testing, like, yeah,
it's all the same, because I did when they put
a scope down my throat, I did see that. It's weird,

(31:51):
but yeah, all that ship looks the same in there. Yeah,
right there, you go, a great equalizer. Uh oh, you assumings.
I've been playing through Fantasy Star four for the first
time through the Sega Genesis collection on NSO, and I've
been having a real good time. And the other RPG's
on the Genesis that you would recommend, it's a little

(32:11):
I love to have fantasy Star four also, I think
it's great other Genesis RPGs, though I'm not super sure.
I think Fantasy Star four kind of almost stands a
little bit. Other people like Shining Force two a lot,
and I bet they're right. I couldn't get into it
for some reason. But Shining Force two is the other
one that gets praised the most. Do you want to
do that?

Speaker 1 (32:31):
The cheat that we used to do back in the
day where it was like, oh Zelda is also an RPG.
Legend of Centi is pretty good. It's not what you're
talking about, but it's, you know, close enough if you're
going back to the Genesis looking for something along those
lines JA.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
So it's sort of a sort of a million which
is fun because that's like like a very early Genesis game.
So it's not too different from like an ne S RPG.
In a lot of ways, but just prettier than that.
So I also love it because, like the US box
art for it makes it look so like King Arthur
style stuff. Right, it looks like an anti j RPG,

(33:09):
but it's very much in that vein actually.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Still yeah, screaming man. Yes, Crusader Centi. I always say
Legend of Centi, but yes it's Crusader.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Yeah, I should play sort of ver Million, what the
heck not? I mean, I'm not play facy Star two,
but that' supposed to be the other good one on there.
I want to do that at some point. I like
to Fantasy Star one a lot, which is a massive
system game, but there's a great kind of slightly enhanced
version of that you can buy on Switch that. It's
very good, all right. Next up here is Jason. Finally,

(33:39):
he says, have you a fella's been checking into summer games?
Done quick? Some neat run runs this time around? Some
of us might have this super Metroid race on their
other screen right now, Jess, I'm not going to name names,
but yeah, Mike, but you know I have a crush
on Jeff of course. Yeah. Yeah, I've been too shy

(33:59):
to say hi to him when i've seen him at
Austome six, but he did a great Donkey Kong Country
Returns HD run just a little bit earlier today. So
it was a ton of fun. And there was that
great Blueprints bingo race thing that that's such a good idea. Yeah,
so that was a good time as well. I always
love games done quick. I was like to just keep

(34:21):
it on in the background as much as I can.
Have you been checking in at all? Not as much
as I would like. It's too much other stuff going on.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
It's keeping me distracted and busy and kind of not
in the mood to have gaming stuff on the TV.
But I checked out a few things, especially when people
are popping off. I definitely want to try to recreate
that bingo idea for us in some games going forward.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
That's right. There wasn't aw Fight Forever run. I caught
a little bit of that, and that was really the
crowd was treating it like a wrestling match with like
their signs, and there's just chants and things like that.
The game's done quick, crowd just gets it. Yeah. I've
always loved going there. Gosh, if you know, it wasn't
these things weren't so hectic, busy, right now. I would
have gone there this time and just stayed at Dan's
and hung out with you.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yeah, it's bummer because, like Jesse, Pattelly's out there and
a bunch of other people in Minneapolis are just actually
going and it would have been great to see everybody
and go to this thing.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
But next time, we'll go next time. I forget if
they said if awesome game's done quick twenty twenty six it,
which is a disgusting date to say out loud. Yeah,
I wonder. I forget they said that's coming back to uh,
Pittsburgh again. I thought it was, But you're right, I
guess I don't know if they haven't announced it yet.
I bet they'll announce it at the end of this show. Uh,
and I'll be incredibly excited for that, all right. This

(35:32):
says eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs. Hell. Yeah,
I wonder this is because I mentioned like I keep
trying to like eggs more than I actually do, and
I keep eating them anyways, But I wish I actually
enjoy you more.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Are you like swapping up the you? You are a
big boy, and he deserves to be called out for that.
But are you like switching up the style of eggs
each time or you justays going to scrambled or something
I try.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
I mean, scrambled has definitely been the easiest to kind
of wolf down, Okay, partly because scrambled is like the
easiest way to just sort of put whatever else in there.
You put teas in there, I put hot sauce in there.
I'll put sausage right, So it's like the the egg
part of it is almost like the rice and a
rice bowl.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
At that point, it's just the filler. Yep, yeah, hot sauce,
salt and pepper. Yeah, do you do right by your
eggs or that stuff?

Speaker 2 (36:27):
And see everyone's like so into like the sunny side
up with the running yolk, and they all have like
it's the greatest thing ever, and I'm just like, I
just I don't know.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
Sunny side up is a bit much, but I'll do it.
Over easy is where I'm at these days. But over
medium is what I grew up on, which has kind
of a just a very barely runny yoke, and that's
good like put on toast, But that's just what I
grew up on, So that's what I.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Like, that's your rules, don't get mad.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
But I think of omelets because when I was a kid,
we went to these Disney World buffets. The fancier ones
would have an omelet station, and even then, like even
as a kid, I was like, I'll try it because
the homewood station looks fun because you can just tell
this guy to do all do whatever you want. Yeah,
And I was like, just put all the cheese and
meats in there, please. And sometimes I wouldn't even eat
much of the eggs stuff. I just cheese and sausage

(37:16):
and bacon in the middle. But I try to.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
I used to.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
I used to make an omelet every day, and I
will try to get the like really good, like it's
called babet when it's like he has no like no
texture almost, And I got it like once in like
three years that I will make omelets pretty good. I'm
on the mallet freak myself. I do a malet sou fle.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
She rules, Man, you're saying omelet, and I'm like, is
that a French word? It is it must have been
an It's definitely a French word for sure. Yeah, but
just like I've never thought about it. Yeah, it's actually
do fromage. Okay, ship there it is man my fromage. Okay, right,

(37:58):
that's what the new on the show every week.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Uh right, Next up here is ol Grug. Dan dressed
up as a pimp is genius. If there's a terrible
juggle of wrestling game, make him dressed up as a
juggle the next. Great job on pimp my record. Thank you,
oh Grugg. We have to admit we had a We
had a like there's a moment there right before I started,
it's like is it okay to dress that?

Speaker 1 (38:23):
We didn't think about it. We didn't think about it
until like right then. It was like and then I
was like, oh no, people might yell at us.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
It's hard, like it's hard to tell. Sometimes we couldn't
aspropating like.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
Like pimp culture or what what's the problem.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
I don't like.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
There was some talking like people are going to think
that it's racially charged, and it's like, I don't know if that's.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Yeah, I don't know. I know. I was like, I
think it's okay.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
It's like it's like because we could have just asked
Dan if he was okay with it. Yes, I was
actually waiting like when you open it up and like,
what's he going to say? And he's like, I'm gonna
go put this on. I'm like, I think we're probably good.
And then he goes on back and everyone in chat
was just cracking up.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
So yeah, it was. It was really was.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
It was a really there was about what he's looking
at for a bit and he's like, oh, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
I was like, oh no, he doesn't. He doesn't want
to put it on. We pushed it. We pushed it
too far. He's like, I don't know what this could mean.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
I was like, right against the game, glad to know
that we were in the exact same mindset that entire time.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
I could tell they're like.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
You with this money, he looks incredible, that it's insane,
looks awesome.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
It looks so good on him.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
We should maybe get little We should all have more
earbut headphones just in case we have to wear hats though.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
Yeah, yeah, we gotta figure that out.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Time I try it on my box thro though, it's
always always get feedback. So I gotta find a good
pair with like high resistance or something.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Yeah. Uh next up here is uh epic up and
world went back to destiny with everything being free till
the twenty second goss shooting still feels great. Sure wish
Bungie would make a non service shooter. How much way
do you think they could make, Jeff, if they made
another big solo campaign shooting game. Yeah, it has like

(40:17):
an multiplayer deathmatch, a moode and whatnot, but like it's
kind of largely about that campaign. Do you think there's
an audience for that or yeah? Yeah, I mean I can.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
Tell you, bug, ask me the Destiny guy definitely the
best thing they ever do all the campaign.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
So if they shows you like a big ass campaign,
people will lose their mind.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
They would it would make enough money, and it would
also not be enough for the people who actually green
light the money. Like that's that's what happened. That's what
this is is it would absolutely make its budget back.
It would make a profit. It would make enough of
a profit that they could probably make the next game.
And yet, because the comparison point is, but if it
hits as a live service game, it prints money for

(40:58):
ten years.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Well that's not enough, So you got to go try
to make a live service game. It sucks.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
I just I mean that was the thing with Marathon
back when they first thought like, this is so smart
to bring it back.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
They're single player franchise now and make one of those.
I was like, oh, they have different ideas here, mm hmm.
JT says this is for you, Mike. Separate the yolk
mix quickly with butter lemon juice and a dab a
French onion dip for a tingy holland dais they put
those egg whites with little shreds of roast beef.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Oh that sounds fun. I love all sorts of things
made with egg. I so like, this is gonna sound
kind of bougie Hollen days good. But I love a
Burnei sauce, which is kind of a hollandaise sauce of
extra steps. I think you ever have a Burnei sauce
of your steak, Jeff, Yes, I have, and it's very good.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Yes, Terragon, it's the tarragon. I think that gives it
that kind of slightly licorice almost kind of like a
roasted marshmallow flavor to me. Sometimes, Oh yeah, oh it's
so good. And then from the ten, Derek should I
play Donkey Kong or Tony Hawk? First? I mean as
much I love Tony Hawk, but if you bought that today,
you could at least get through the normal goals of

(42:11):
both campaigns before Donkey Kong comes out. Now, maybe you're
not looking to get both games right, because that's a
lot of mone I understand.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
I mean it's on it's on game Pass, right, so
if you have game Pass, definitely just go play it
right now over the weekend to kill time. But if
it's one or the other and you like have the
money now and you want to choose between these two,
I think it's Donkey Kong. If you're asking that question.
For me, it was like always like, no, I'm playing
Tonio and then Donkey Kong, no questions about it, no

(42:38):
matter what, those are the two games this summer I'm
actually the.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Most excited about.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
So if you're asking this question, I would go Donkey Kong.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
I me know, Donkey Kong is going to be the new,
a new, a big new thing. I love Turn. I
supposed to get three to four, but you know they
are remakes. So how much did you like Tony Hawk's
pro Skater three at four? And are you okay with
the changes to four?

Speaker 1 (42:56):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (42:57):
These are if these are all factors here? And then
Bander s N was finally able to set up my
grandma's old sony Wago. Oh hell yeah, like wega man
going to play through Pompa nine. So the SQUIRREENX will
announce the remake for Mike. Hell yeah, I do think
blank fomp face. I haven't tried that that big mod
thing that people love with fan Fanacy nine yet, so

(43:20):
I'm sure that's great, And there are definitely reasons you
would want that because the game kind of is slow,
not in terms of pacing, but like the battle speed right,
like having a fast forward button would help.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
But the original PlayStation version of that game just looks
so good. I think that's so how i'd probably want
to play it. Yep, I've not plugged in this this
new CRT I got. It's a General Electric by the way,
it's the which again I wanted to run of the Mill,
but decent quality one that's kind of like that's huge.
So I find I think I finally found my you know,

(43:51):
uh my white whale here in terms of CRTs, where
it's like I am no longer going to be searching
for CRTs on Facebook Marketplace, despite already having two in
my basement. Like I think that's where we're now.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
I think you think you're satiated.

Speaker 1 (44:02):
I think I've satisfied this need, which, yeah, satiated is
the right word, because there's nothing. Yeah that it is
a craving inside of me, and I've done something about
it now. But yeah, I'm gonna get that set up here, probably.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Over the weekend. That's around with it, looking forward to it, Jeff.
This Super Metric Racist neck and Neck? Is that the
final escape sequence here? It's come to this. Yeah, okay,
let's see here, was in the lead going into it,
but a couple of fumbles have had him fall behind.
It looks like Eddie. Now Eddie is just killing these

(44:35):
double jumps that are really fucking slick. But I love those.
I love Supermetroc double jumps.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
Just react video.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Now everybody five seconds behind. Now between Eddie's got a
five second lead, it's Eddie's to lose. Are they saving
the animals? Looks like they're saving the animals, Jeff, So, okay,
that's gonna cost both of them though, that's okay. The
k think of Super Metro now, because these animals do
show up in Metroid Fusion. They're a big part of
the plot of that game. So We're okay now, is.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
Olts Goats gonna be able to get enough of those
arm wiggles and to catch up?

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Who knows? Yeah, if you ever play the game casually
and you start doing the arm wiggles because you think
like maybe this one. I wonder the speed. I don't
know what this is doing for.

Speaker 3 (45:22):
The data, the ram or something.

Speaker 2 (45:25):
All right, maybe Eddy's gonna miss the ship. No play
it super safe. Took a second there getting in, but
Eddie did, in fact win at a time of fifteen
minutes fourteen seconds. Oltson Goats right behing with fifty seconds
sixteen two point six seconds difference there, great, great, great
job by both runners. Games Look click go watch games
look click, throw them donation if you haven't yet. Everybody

(45:47):
just like it, even make it happy though, always good stuff.

Speaker 1 (45:49):
Yes, yeah, Doctors without border is even more important than ever,
as certain governments funded efforts to help the poor and
down trodden across the world just.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
Disappear with no explanation.

Speaker 1 (46:05):
Wouldn't it suck we found out that they used all
this money we gave them to buy some borders.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
Then they're just it just terrible.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
They're just doctors boarders.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Oh no, they're also they're ten k away from one
million raised already, so far as your good job gains
a click.

Speaker 2 (46:28):
All right, Jeff, that's it. I think that's it. I
guess that's a check. If any super tests.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
Came in, we're good. I think we're good there. If
you want to send any more super tests, we will
read them before the end of the show. Thank you
all so much for your support.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Really appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (46:42):
Thank you everybody, Thank you for listening. We're going to
take another break. When we come back, we're going to
do our topic, our game, uh a draft Donkey Kong.
I think that you put this link here in the dock.
Uh So, I'm just gonna click on that. We're gonna
figure out what we're gonna do right after this. All right,
we are back. We're doing a Donkey Kong draft. This

(47:02):
game was created by joy Z, with editing additional contributions
from Doominal Crossing, Ebo, Janis Matt and Sarrochet. Chile So
shouts out to everybody for helping out. Mike, I'm gonna
read the rules here. Are you ready for it?

Speaker 2 (47:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (47:16):
Pick a name for your Donkey Kong game and write
them in the white boxes to the left and right
take turns buying parts for your Donkey Kong game. The
person who most recently played a game with Kong and
the title goes first. After round one, whoever currently has
the lowest budget left buys first, buys first each round.
If tied, the person who bought second last round buys first.

(47:37):
Once a part is bought, it cannot be bought by
the other player. If you run out of budget, you
must buy the one dollar option and go negative. If
both players run out of budget, both can purchase it.

Speaker 2 (47:49):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (47:50):
I think the way this is going to work is
mostly automated because it's done here in Google sheets. But
we have to refer back to this. We will, Mike,
what do you want to name your game?

Speaker 2 (47:59):
Question? Yeah? Is the term gang bang offensive?

Speaker 3 (48:05):
I mean you can make it offensive if you want to.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
Yeah, I think it's just generic. Gang bang is not offensive?
Well if if I named it Donkey Kong's Orang a
Tang gang Bang?

Speaker 2 (48:16):
Okay, yes, that's not just Okay, that's inspired.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
Yeah, what the monetized? Now, that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (48:26):
Okay, I'm destroying everything. Nope, Okay, there we go. It
might be too big for this BET's fine. Also, I
don't know how to spell a rang a tang.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
I can do it. You know you can do yours.
I could do mine. I'm in this talk, Oh you're
in this okay?

Speaker 1 (48:37):
Cool?

Speaker 2 (48:37):
All right? And mine's gonna be uh Donkey Kong, the
sequel to Frasier.

Speaker 1 (48:48):
All right, there we go, Mike. Did you get yours
in there?

Speaker 2 (48:53):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (48:54):
Okay, I am going to now I think go to
number one here?

Speaker 2 (48:59):
I think is what we is?

Speaker 1 (49:00):
That how this works?

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Christian? Yeah, yes, that's what he works. All right.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
Okay, So Mike, I'm gonna say I I'm I'm sure
I've like just booted up Donkey Kong ninety four in
the last few weeks, but let's be like kind of
more solid with it. You've recently played through and beat
donk one of the Donkey Kong games, right, you? That
one that got released earlier this year?

Speaker 2 (49:20):
I played Returns HD.

Speaker 1 (49:22):
So let's say that you last played a game with
Kong and the title. Okay, and you get to go first?

Speaker 2 (49:28):
Sound good to me? All Right?

Speaker 1 (49:30):
You have a bunchet of thirty dollars. Now you are
picking the Donkey Kong design. What do you want the
design of your Donkey Kong to.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
Be absolutely the TV show one hit my mother saving
money and that man, dude, I got it. Guy.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
That is definitely a gang bang guy. I look at him.
I'm so upset with you for doing the strategic right
thing there. That was absolutely the right move. It's gonna
get the most votes because if everyone loves the dumb
donkey Kong.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
It was only a dollar you had the first pick.
You should have been like, oh, I get to.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Pick all of them. I shouldn't pick the one dollar one,
and yet you still did.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
I'm mad at you. This sucks. By the way, this
is amazing how animated this all was. Thank you. Yes,
this is very impressive programming.

Speaker 1 (50:21):
I think I'm like with I'm like, I'm not sure
how much I can make up on you with like,
I should be spending a bunch of extra money here
to try to beat what is clearly going to be
the thing that's going to do the best. So I
might just go with' you know what, what the fuck it,
I'm just gonna go with the original.

Speaker 2 (50:37):
There you go. I like it.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
Let's start all right, Okay, So now I think I
go next this round? Right, Yeah, because you have the
least amount of money. Okay, let's see here. I think
I will go with the audio listeners, like, what are
our choices here? Thank you? All right?

Speaker 1 (50:56):
So this is game style, and our choices are two
D platformer for five dollars, three D platformer for four dollars,
rhythm game for three dollars, Collectithon for two dollars, and
math for one dollar.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
I guess we're gonna make it clear. In the last one,
we had to pick our design of Donkey Kong, and
I picked the TV show version. You picked the original
from the arcade. Thank you, Mike.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
All right, So I'm gonna go with three D platformer.
I think that's gonna be the best bang for my buck.
That's four dollars and a three D platformer starting the
original Donkey Kong model, which is the Arcade one.

Speaker 2 (51:28):
And I'm kind of excited about that prospect.

Speaker 1 (51:30):
Mike.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
It's up to you now. Yeah, I definitely think like
a rhythm game makes sense for the kind of game
I'm making, because rhythm is important, you know what I mean.
Collectethon though there's lots of there's lots of things of fall. Now,
I think I'm gonna make a rhythm game for sure.
All Right, there you go Fantasy twenty six dollars and
you have twenty four, so you still get to go next.

Speaker 1 (51:50):
Okay, So who's the sidekick? Is it Kitty Kong, Lanky Kong,
Dixie Kong, Pauline, or Donky or Diddy Kong? And I
went in order of from one dollar to five five dollars,
So Kitty Kong is one, Diddy Kong is five.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
Hmm.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
It's hard to say how much of a difference will
be made by any of these. Uh And honestly, I
don't think any of them are going to overcome Donkey
Kong's Orangutan gang bang just for a name. So, although,
which one would you most need for your gang bang?
I'm I think I'm looking at him right now, Lanky Kong.
So I'm I gonna just deny you, Lanky Kong, because

(52:27):
all the rest are going to be problematic for your
gang bang?

Speaker 2 (52:33):
Out exactly?

Speaker 1 (52:35):
Is the only all right, dick, you poison you pervy motherfucker.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Okay, I think that even has the word ditty. I
will tell you what we're gonna be, Kitty Kong, Yes,
do what? Diddy or the three child old coated ones.
Oh it's I guess we gotta go with Diddy and
just say that he's got more of a Gary Coleman thing.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
And he's not that young actually, okay, yep. And he
costs so much too. Oh that was I was like,
please don't take Lanky Kong.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
Don't.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
No one has ever needed lanky Kong more than you
needed Lanky Kong. In that moment, I was not thinking,
like Lankey Cogs the only one I could pick your
Please don't take my man.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
Oh my god, I'm so glad I had a little
bit of strategy there.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
Show. All right, Mike, you have the least amount of money,
so it's time for collectibles, and you go first. I'm
gonna go in order from one dollar to five dollars again, balloons,
banana birds, banana coins, DK coins, and Kong letters. I'm sorry,
I think I told you're gonna go. Why the banana

(53:52):
bird looks like a penis.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Sure does, doesn't he. Let's take the banana bird for
two dollars.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
All right, Okay, I guess I just don't know again
how much this is gonna change anything, So I'm gonna
save my money for now and go with the balloons.
And balloons are a fun collectible in these games. That's fine,
all right, all right, okay, going to the next one.
Boss fights, so you'll get to go first as well

(54:23):
this time because you have nineteen dollars left.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
I have twenty one dollars left.

Speaker 1 (54:27):
I'm gonna go from one dollars to five dollars again,
very Gwanty Beaver, dreadcong Army Dillo, the Mole Train or
bash Master.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
I think, damn, I hate this. I think I had
to pick one of the two more the two expensive ones,
the mole train in your gang Bang game or the
bash Master.

Speaker 1 (54:53):
Now the bash Master, he's the master of bashing, but
the bull train runs the train. Oh I really, I
think I think I put myself in a corner with
this one. I think I gotta take the mold Train.
I'm gonna go with Army Dilla. That's that's gonna be.

(55:15):
And Donkey Kong, the sequel to Fraser Beaver could have
worked at very guanty Beaver. Just what I couldn have
saved so much money? All right, who's gonna be your shopkeeper?
You get to go first, Mike. It's one dollar to
five dollars. K Lumsey Swanky Kong, Cranky Kong, Candy Kong

(55:41):
or Funky Kong.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
Come on, I mean it's got look, it's gotta be okay.
Three of these people are sex coded.

Speaker 1 (55:50):
Let's be honest, right, Yes, Cranky Kong number one, Swanky
is probably what he looks the most, like, a like
a sex shop owner right when he does to look
like he would.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
Be the kind of guy that would m see a
gang bang. Yes, yes, exactly.

Speaker 1 (56:08):
Candy Kong, like I do need I need like you know,
I need some sexiness going on here for sure.

Speaker 2 (56:13):
Yes, but that's expensive. Four dollars. Funky Kong could make sense,
but to expense, say, I'm looking at your lineup? You
got the gang already? Do you have the bang? Oh?
Don't feel good? No? How did I do this? All right,
I'll take Candy. I'll take candy.

Speaker 1 (56:34):
Five dollars for Funky Kong is a steal, Give me
him any day if I'll spend fifty dollars on Funky Kong.
I don't care, all right, think this is what joys
he had in mind. I'm sure they're regretting everything right now.
Soundtrack all right, you get to just choose a soundtrack
for one of these existing games one dollars to five dollars,

(56:54):
Donkey Kong Country, Tropical Freeze, the original sound version Donkey
Kong from the arcade game Donkey Kong sixty four, Donkey
Kong Country, or Donkey Kong Country two.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
Yeah, I mean talk Kum Country two is definitely the
best one. I think this might be where I just
try to save some money because Tropical free still has
a very good soundtrack. Yeah, and it does like, you know, look,
you need a little music to get the mood going,
and that'll do it. But after a while kind of
fades into the background. So yeah, I think Tropical Freeze
is okay enough here for me. In fact, there's a

(57:29):
note here with an asterisk if you're upset. Tropical Freeze
is the one dollar choice. Listen to the Giant Bomb
Game of the Year twenty fourteen, Day two Best Music
or just blame Dan Riker. Yeah, there was that was
there was a whole thing with yes behind but he
didn't like it. Oh, I feel like we was see
the only one that did like it. It was one

(57:50):
of the other I can't.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
Remember how he hated it. No, I'm pretty sure you
hated it.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
Yeah, Okay, all right, I will go, well, don't want
the DK rap or do I want some aquatic ambia
or some thorn bush whatever it is? Symphony sticker Bush Symphony. Yeah,
that's my favorite DK track. Yeah, you know what, I'll
go with that.

Speaker 2 (58:14):
There we go.

Speaker 1 (58:15):
Okay, big big spender there and all of a sudden,
now you have eight dollars left.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
I have ten. So you get the picnics now.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
Yes, And I'm gonna have to be a little bit
more careful because we have three options left and only
have eight dollars. Okay, animal friend from one dollars to
five dollars, Glimmer Squidter, which okay, so Glimmer's the like
an anglerfish, Squidter, the furry spider with sneakers on guard,
the swordfish, radially the bouncy snake or Ramby for five dollars.

(58:44):
I gotta say, I'm just going with the one I
like the most. I've always liked him the most. On
guard the swordfish. I just love the way this guy looks.

Speaker 2 (58:51):
But Daffy knt tick her from me. He's got like
a penising.

Speaker 1 (58:54):
He does have a penis for a nose. Yeah, and
I listen, listen, you can still go with Radley, but yeah, mby,
come on, Yeah, Ram is a little too rich for
my blood right now, Squiter kind of looks like another
word also, Okay, yes, yes, it does sound like another word.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Right. He looks like a pervert, right Yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:16):
I' mean the way he's smiling. You kind of want
him just sitting in the corner smiling.

Speaker 2 (59:19):
Like that during the entire gang Yeah, that's what you want.

Speaker 1 (59:23):
Severally, it brings the room together. Yeah, all right, Round
nine final Boss, and I think yeah, I'll still get
to go first here. One to five, King cut out,
ghastly King. I can try to describe some of these,
but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
Just google him.

Speaker 1 (59:40):
Baron, Baron k Rulinstein, Lord Frederick and King k Rule.

Speaker 2 (59:48):
Hmm, this is I kind of do I want to
let you have King k Rule at your gang bang?

Speaker 1 (59:56):
I don't know, but you're telling a lot of cow
he place here. I never what's heard you brought up?

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
How this all? Wow? Your stuffs sequel.

Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
We both didn't think that far ahead, and yet somehow
things have worked out great for you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
Yeah, I think I'm just gonna King cut out because
I kind of like that. That's that's like the fake
version of King k Rule. All right, Mike, your choice.

Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
It could be dangerous because I might miss out on
the next Like. No, I don't think either of us
are gonna be able to afford the five dollars option
the next one, unfortunately. But I think King I think
I gotta have the King there. I think King k
Roll has got to be a part of what's going
on here for it to be a real party.

Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
I would if I were in your position, I would
do this, do the same. King k Rule is great? Okay,
round ten banana? Oh man, I kind of wish one
of us had to choose the black rotten banana. So
from one dollars to five dollars, which banana? Are you
gonna choose? An overripe like way overripe black banana at

(01:00:56):
one dollar? A eating banana? So it's just the peel
at you. A banana at three dollars, a bunch of
bananas at four dollars, or a golden banana at five dollars.
I guess I should just use all my money and
I'll just go with four dollars worth. Wait, you go first,
you go first, You go first first, It doesn't matter

(01:01:18):
you can't buy a four dollars one.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
Yeah, but I'm definitely taking this three dollar banana. We'll
find a use for that, I'm sure. All right, there
you go.

Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
Uh. Okay, So let's go to the screenshot. Wow, this
is incredible. How this just works?

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
Good? Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
So the Donkey Kong draft for Donkey Kong the sequel
to Fraser. Uh, I'm going with the original arcade Donkey
Kong design. My shopkeeper's Funky Kong. It's a three D platformer. Uh.
The soundtrack is the soundtrack to Donkey Kong Country two.
The sidekick is Lanky Kong. My animal friend is on guard.
We're gonna be collecting balloons. The final boss is Key

(01:02:00):
cut out of the Boss. One of the boss fights
is Aren't Army Dillo and It's got a bunch of
bananas in it. Mike tell us about Donkey Kong's Orangutan
gang Bang.

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
Yeah, it's the Donkey Kong design from the animated TV show.
The shopkeeper is Candy Kong. It's a rhythm game with
the soundtrack from Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.

Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
The sidekick is Diddy Kong. The animal friend is Squirter.
The Tarantula Squirter.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
Yeah, they had the collectibles is the are the the
penis banana birds. The final boss is King k Roll.
The normal boss fight is the mole train. Uh and
uh there's a banana involved. Honestly, it's just like you
couldn't have planned it better if I lose this one.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
You thought, I was, there's no way, this is incredible.
I kind of wish like Funky Kong was my my sidekick,
and then I could come up with something like Donkey
Kong is Frasier and and then Funky Kong is Niles.
But I can't even fake it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
So well, you did take like a call for me.
I was worried. Yeah, but that was that was my
best play for sure. I had did even fall back off.
I was kidding nervous there. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
So I think what we'll do now is like, as
a matter of just course, because I think we know
it's going to happen here, we will put this up
to a vote in the Patreon discord area. Chris Christian,
could you handle that for us please, And then we'll
take a break, we'll come back and we'll get the results.
Excuse me, get the results right after this all right,

(01:03:41):
we're back. We will get the results here very soon.
We'll also wrap up any other super chats we might
have gotten in the meantime. But first, Mike, what have
you been playing?

Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Uh? Okay, I did beat the Auto expansion and for
Spatoon two yesterday and I like that a lot, very
good final o buss it did a thing where you know,
usually its Spatoon, the bus rights are always these giant
people blah blah blah. But there was like a one
v one fight against another Squid person and that was
the best fight ever actually because we were on equal

(01:04:12):
ground and all that stuff. So I definitely enjoyed that
aspect of it. I don't think I'm jumping to side
order right away. I am like I could use a
smidge of a s Platoon break after playing through three
of these campaigns in a row now. So I actually,
when before the Switch you came out, I was playing
through some of Mario Odyssey again just for like, like

(01:04:33):
I want this to be my last Switch one game.
And now I've just picked up that save on Switch too,
and yeah, you know, it does look a little bit
better on there. That game looks really good on Switch one,
And I'm not really thinking about that. I just really
like playing Mario Odyssey. My god, what yep a game?

Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
Yep. I'm always kind of going back to that game.
It's just kind of grazing on it here or there.

Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
It was.

Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
It was fun when the kids were super into it
and I had an excuse to help them out all
the time. But that's been a minute, and it's like,
oh yeah, it's going to just be one of those games.

Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
That were returned to for the rest of my life.

Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
So are you like, are you like trying to play
through at all or are you just kind of like
playing it a little bit while wa wait, waiting for
Donkey Kong's that what you said.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
I mean, I'm already at Duketong City at part of
me is like I probably just I'll quote unquote beat
the game again, right, because that's well, you know, that's
it's you know, it takes some doing, but it just
goes by. It really does fly by so fast.

Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
Just play through that game to get the base ending
without worrying about Darker Side of.

Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
The Moon or even you know, yeah, I did the
whole one thing one time and it was super fun.
Maybe someday I'll do that again, but no, not not
this time. I so you know, I'll probably do this.
Part of me is like, oh, I do want to
start at Breath of the Wild again. And another part
of me is like, oh, I could buy Fantasy Life
play that on a switch to, but that's the thing
I have to buy. But I still want to do that.

(01:05:47):
So we'll see, because you know, this is kind of
killing time until Donkey Kong comes out. Really yeah, it's
just such a playable game, Odyssey, it really is. You know,
I think it's the best. It was my number one
for the Millennium thing, which I forgot to actually vote on,
but it would have been my number one. I think
that game is just outstanding. It feels so freaking good.

(01:06:09):
It was, uh, it was fun.

Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
Uh the next to Lander's on Break this week, but
there they had a ramble cast that they put out
where they made their list.

Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
And submitted them the nights thing, so that was fun
to listen to.

Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
Uh. And they were like surprised that so many people
were choosing Odyssey over Galaxy, although I think they like
Odyssey a lot, but it's like, yeah, no, I think
that's where the consensus mostly is. There was there was
some backlash to Odyssey, but that went away pretty fast too,
and I was.

Speaker 2 (01:06:34):
Always stuff a time my life was like, nothing's better
than the Galaxy games, and then like when Ossie happens, like,
oh this is better as is actually my new favorite one.
I'm actually shocked about that. But it's so freaking good.

Speaker 1 (01:06:45):
Uh Alright. I have mostly just been playing Tony Hawk
Tony Hawk and helping the girls with Minecraft. That's been
that's been what's happening over here. And yeah, Tony Hawk's
very good. I'm I'm gonna I just I think I'm
kind of getting to the end three right now. I've
been playing in very short spurts. I will kind of
play through four probably tonight, looking forward to that. But yeah,

(01:07:09):
I'm also just really looking forward to doing something with
that game.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
Tomorrow. We'll figure out how we can.

Speaker 1 (01:07:13):
Do the race, but at somebody, I also just want
to do the multiplayer. I just want to hang out
eight player online. We can get all of us in there,
maybe get some friends in there, kind of just do
some multiplayer stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
That would be really cool. What skater did you use
for the campaign?

Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
I did Nija Niga Houston, who is you know, probably
one of the top skaters. Still on the men's side,
I'm sure he's got a lot of competition because there's
all these young people coming up from South America and
like East Asia that are learning to do nine hundreds
at seven years old or something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
It's well that there's like escalation there, right, Yes, there's
a lot right suddenly, like it took forever for somebody
to do that. I guess skateboarding is relatively a young
sport still, yeah, a lot of ways, but you know,
just forever for like the first guy to do it,
and now it's like a thing people can do when
they're nine.

Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
Right, I mean, I just think there's like, oh, there's
a ton of athleticism coming into skateboarding, where before it
was like, yeah, some dudes are doing this, and it's
all like, yeah, it's amazing what these dudes can do.
But if you like let some natural athletes as kids
grow up inside of the sport, they can really change it.
And then when it's super competitive, like you know, like
figure skating, like there's like guys that can do four

(01:08:23):
spins now or whatever. They do four spins for every
single one of their tricks, and it's like that looks crazy.
I remember watching as a kid. It was like two
and a half was amazing, and that just has also
amplified over the years. All Right, I've not been playing
much else, kind of still diving in or dipping into
Mother three here or there when I get some time,
but it's not a ton of time right now.

Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
Kind of stinks.

Speaker 1 (01:08:45):
I would really like to just spend three uninterrupted hours
of that game when I could, and that was going
to be my plan over the break, but then I
started playing Riydegar instead.

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Yeah, like, I'm close to beating Sekra. I want to
do that this weekend, So I'll talk about that once
it's all fit. You know, there's stuff we've been playing
on the site. Uh, you know, really been enjoying Miss.
We should be fishing that, uh next week properly. Actually no,
not next week. Monday, I'm off because of the kolonoscopy,
That's right. What we'll do a wega man to make
up for that. So I'll play some Wednesday but missed. Uh,

(01:09:16):
Miss will just be probably a week off there. You
can't have Wednesday mornings missed with Mitch. That makes any
sense at all?

Speaker 1 (01:09:24):
That against the rules, against the law, even Okay, so
anything else from you that you've been playing.

Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
I mean, you know, again, there some stuff here and there.
I'm sure you know I did play face Away, but
nothing else that I haven't talked about elsewhere at this point, Jeff,
I think that's pretty good. All right, Uh, let's do
the results, all right?

Speaker 3 (01:09:45):
You usually get into uh doing.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Yeah, I want to, Like I said, there's no time
to play anything right now, but maybe this weekend we'll.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
Maybe they're sorry for an MMO survival game. I know.
I mean, I would love to spend time with the game.

Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
Myself said, crazy, you don't have to a lot of time.
He's super It's very friendly.

Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
Yeah, so when you were when you were going we
were on the break mic, people are like trying to
come up with ways because like, oh, the names clearly
influenced everything and everyone, so maybe you could save the
names to the end. It's like, no, this was way
more fun to like, even like you're kind of like
to work to make yours better. Was fun at a
certain point.

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
More fun.

Speaker 1 (01:10:25):
That's because it's like, I don't care if I lose
this is This isn't anything. It was just a fun
thing to do. And I bet it was a pretty
fun thing to listen to. So yeah, we don't have
to worry about the fairness of the game here. Yes,
point you know that was part of the strategy, was
coming up with a good name, right yep, exactly, yeah, yeah,
I like now I know better. But even still, it's
like I had enough time.

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
We don't know that you lost.

Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
Well, let's find out right now, Christian, what is the
results of the Donkey Kong draft?

Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
So in you two of course, Mike one seventy percent
to twenty and fifty seven votes and on.

Speaker 1 (01:11:07):
The thanks for the pitty votes. Everybody appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
Let me see poll results. Give me, give me, give
me to me?

Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (01:11:19):
Sorry?

Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
I believe that's right. Am I going to get it
before you? Because I just clicked on it? Oh wait,
dart to click on one? I will all right, there
we go.

Speaker 3 (01:11:31):
I can just find it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
Okay, Okay, you have to actually end the poll. All right?
Well do you need what do you need a minute? Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:11:41):
I need to end the poll. That's why it doesn't Sorry,
my bad, No, it's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:11:45):
I just entered the pull I d for you in
the chat, right there?

Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
So is it is this it?

Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:11:51):
Here? Are we looking at it right here. No, that's
one vote poll results yes or no, yes, one vote.
There it is there, you go and now we see it.

Speaker 1 (01:12:02):
Okay, go ahead, Christian.

Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Yeah, the results are sixty eight percent or Donkey Kong's
Ora Angu Tang gang Bang with twenty six boats versus
twelve votes. So yeah, I think I think the name
did a little hard worker for you, man.

Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
I mean everything came to it was like a symphony
of Donkey Kong.

Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
I don't think it was denied. Was like Kee Kong.

Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
It hadn't been perfect, it could have been even though
one banana was ideal. I'm sorry to not deny you
your dream, but it was close enough and you definitely
won and definitely deserved it. That was fun, Jordan was
well done.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
Very impressive. See that was a good time. Thank you
so much for that. It looked like a lot of work.
So thank you for for all of the It's a
good thing. I did play Donkey Kong Returns HD because
that got me TV Donkey Kong, which I also think
was important.

Speaker 1 (01:12:56):
Yes, oh yeah, that was crucial. Actually he's the right
Donkey Kong for that particular job. I would say, all right,
oh excellent. So I think that's gonna do it except
for super chats. Why don't we clean up those, Mike,
and then we can get on out of here.

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
Just one more here from Cody Bishop. You guys excited
for the new Superman. Yeah? Yeah, I want to try
to find some time to see that this weekend. See
if any of the brothers are going at some point there.
I'm not like some giant Superman fan, but I you know,
don't have anything against the character. If there's a good movie, right,
you know what I'm excited for, Jeff, what's that is
the clevelandness of it? Yes, that's what I like about

(01:13:31):
the trailers a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:13:32):
So I was listening to a little bit of a
kind of funnies review today. I used to be as
a kid. I was pretty into Superman when that, you know,
the death of Superman stuff was happening. I didn't like
read all the comics, but I read a hant quite
quite a few of them. Yeah, he died, came back. Actually,
don't worry about it, and yeah weird. Greg was like
calling out Cleveland all the times, like that's you know,

(01:13:54):
that's Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
That's Cleveland. So I'm like, I'm pretty excited for that
same reason. Damn Greg, we'll have a good time. I'll
take you to the good the great tiki barb we
got our breweries, will take you to the Margaritaville. Yeah right,
we'll go to a Guardians game because there's a pivotal
scene that takes place in that field. Now, so yeah,
you'll really like that. All right, that's it. No other

(01:14:19):
super chats. I thought another one came in. Oh sorry,
and that one came out, says, and Mike says, the
discord never volks. Even I couldn't be denied people.

Speaker 3 (01:14:30):
I think having names for this stuff and not being
associated which you individually help you because some people ask
like which one is Mike's and I didn't. Whatever you
like the least, That's what I said, So like names
to it, like none of my SIMI the thing works

(01:14:51):
on your favor sometimes incredible.

Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
There we go that it was a well deserved when
I really enjoyed that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
Uh. And I will be showing up at the middle
night launch off Donkey Kong's Ring Tank Gang Bang.

Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
Of course Story zero or Rang the Tanks. But I'll
be in my church coat and my hat and my
sunglasses and no one sees.

Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
What I'm forget your upside dined pineapple pineapple guns. That's
how he lets him know. All right, I think that's
gonna do it for the show.

Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
We have the long outro on this one, so I'll
just hit the button and then I'll ask you what
you got planned?

Speaker 1 (01:15:30):
What do you doing this weekend? Your colonosk's on Monday,
So how do you get ready for that? You're gonna
celebrate big blah bash.

Speaker 2 (01:15:37):
Uh, Well, Sunday, I might, Like Friday, I want to
try to stream through the rest of Secoro. Who knows.
The final boss might take me a long time. Then,
Like Sunday, I might stream just to distract myself from
the fact that I'm hungry. Uh and you know, I
might have to go to the bathroom sometimes, but just
to do something too.

Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
Yeah, but we'll see how I feel during all that. Saturday,
I do want to watch this a w show, but.

Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
I guess that might be earlier in the day the normal.

Speaker 1 (01:16:06):
I asked my friend, he's not going to be in town,
but he's like, is it really starting at three pm?

Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
It's like, is that right?

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
So it looks right, that's what they were saying in chat.
So yeah, that's weird.

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Whatever, that's fine. That'd be one pm on Texas time, right,
that's weird. Okay, I guess they don't want to count
a program. The finale of games done quick, that must
be it. That makes sense.

Speaker 3 (01:16:29):
Oh, the work up the the like soccer teams, what's
the club work cup that's going on.

Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
Their World Cup? Okay, yeah, that's probably not it either.
Jason bon Chat says, Oh, you're gonna stream on Sunday,
all right, all right, you're not taking the drink to
do his business. Yeah, that's true, though, I wonder because
like the liquid aspect of the old rink was, I'm

(01:17:00):
gonna be drinking lots to look wid senior beans. Its
just listen, the dump truck. Miyazaki isn't real anime? Okay,
come on, if I look, I'm sorry. He didn't turn
horses into girls, But.

Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
Come on, like thing about that that's like, I mean,
it's like it's anonymous, like I see in them eyes
like there's a little people that think that way.

Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
And honestly, I think it says a lot about anime fans.
But you know what, whatever have you have your seen drama?
I don't care your bean by By everybody.

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
What is this just? I beat it? All right, Jeff,
let's see each other here. All right, we're out, all.

Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
Right, break, I'm gonna restart my internet b RB. So sorry,
it's gonna take a second.

Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Okay, give you a second. I went Texas this weekend.
What's on Saturday? It's not that day. I'm gonna be
flushing out my intestines. Okay, good for you. Mm hmm. Yeah,

(01:18:50):
that state of play was awesome. Okay, Tayston liked it
better be good. I mean I think I think of
u uh sushi. I was very good. It ain't like
it wasn't super sticky with me, but I definitely really
liked playing it all the way through.

Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
Okay, I think I'm yes.

Speaker 1 (01:19:10):
It looks great. It looks different enough. Yeah, I think
that's I think that's where that.

Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Game is way better. Okay, all right, good deal? Like
is that like really that really? Like more than ever?
It's like PlayStation has they have? Oh ship? Is that
really what happened this year?

Speaker 1 (01:19:35):
We didn't didn't they don'tly have the something marathon marathon
got delayed just training.

Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
I always always trying to forget the PlayStations of that game.
But it's for sure differently that.

Speaker 3 (01:19:49):
Concur too.

Speaker 2 (01:19:51):
I don't know what happened. I was really this year
that this year it was Jesus the last year. What
was that? I feel like it was late last year,
But I don't I honestly don't know anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:20:04):
I don't know. Time doesn't mean anything to me anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
Concord game was that was like a year ago, almost
a year ago.

Speaker 3 (01:20:13):
What is going on? I need help? I am What
if they add Sackboy to Ostro? Wouldn't that be super
fucked up?

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
If they had added sackboy to what he never was
in Astropod? Huh? Was he not? No, it's weird. No,
that's not right. That's not right.

Speaker 4 (01:20:34):
No way, it's messed up. If it's in because he's
he's in.

Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
There, he's in there, said, sack is in there place? Now? Yeah,
you know he's been planted, but he was always there.
Uh huh.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
That's the PlayStation way. You're you get to be mascot
for a couple of years and they get right the
walk you Yeah, well that and like sometimes they realize
they never actually owned you.

Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
Oops scratch.

Speaker 1 (01:20:59):
It's it's like fat guys in Hollywood and Hollywood only
has one fat guy that they cast and everything at
a time, and then a few years later it's a
new fat guy.

Speaker 2 (01:21:07):
Sorry, Kevin James.

Speaker 1 (01:21:08):
Yeah, that's right. Jack Black has found a niche. Like
he used to be the fat guy and then he
wasn't for a second and then what his mother was. Yeah,
and now he's like a voice guy and kids movies guy.
He's found his niche. Yeah, okay, a new fact I
just dropped. That's right, Nick TG all right, let's bring
the show back.

Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
All right, just do it. I guess.

Speaker 3 (01:21:41):
Your computer's going to blow up. That's what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
Well, honestly, that would be nice. I want to I'll
just go use the forty ninety instead.

Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
Yeah, okay for yourself with expilmatory household. If you go
to the yeah intro start, superb, superb, Thank you Joyce.
Always get the name joy We just say joy Z
now I try to say it correctly.

Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
No, I don't like that way. They specific like. We
like the when Mike says it. Let's just call me Joys. Now,
all right, where'd your face go for a moment? No, No,
it's the it's an obous.

Speaker 1 (01:22:28):
Thing, not you, m.

Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
Joys. Joys I won't I want Does your that come
with the v CR integrated? That seems cool?

Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
Oh I have one. It's just I think I think
my picture is starting to fail attle. But that's like
my childhood wanted ruled the memories of a rich kid
watching my dad, watching my dad's old Star Trek. The
next generation VHS tapes, and that does sound so cozy.
Each each one had two. I'd often fall asleep before

(01:23:04):
both of them ran so nice, like you're doing the
jack handy voice, messing out like the memories.

Speaker 3 (01:23:11):
Beautiful memories. My gam me memories were like going to
like my friend's house or the man like we'll do
crackaid And the only reason I went there because he
has PlayStation one.

Speaker 1 (01:23:21):
That's nice.

Speaker 2 (01:23:23):
That's special, too, beautiful, beautiful life. The next next game,
the quick run its Doom the Dark Ages. I haven't
beaten that yet.

Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
That was yeah, I mean it's just like too much story,
what what are you new? Story? It was.

Speaker 1 (01:23:38):
I was just like, not like the most but it's
also clearly too much for dud. I remember, I remember
what sixteen. I was like, oh cool, fucking I love
some Doom lore, Baby, give me that lore. And then
now you're here.

Speaker 3 (01:23:54):
It's just like it's like a monkey pot type deal.

Speaker 2 (01:23:59):
Yeah, it's like I think people like that too, but
it doesn'em like people stopped talking about it pretty quickly.
I don't know. I don't want to be a game.

Speaker 3 (01:24:05):
It's a fun game.

Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
I got six all right, Christian?

Speaker 1 (01:24:11):
You can you check the live feed and make sure
everything looks good, not nothing's blacked out or anything.

Speaker 2 (01:24:17):
I have anything windows.

Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
Cool, go to start, just to check how that looks.

Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
Okay, let's see here. So I'm going right here.

Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
I'm sure I'm waiting yep, because I'm delayed. Crazy. Yeah,
you can like give Mike a little bit more to
the to the to Mike's side, a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
More of okay seconds yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:24:43):
Yeah, and also on draft on the top, you can.

Speaker 2 (01:24:48):
Why is that cut off? All right? That's I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:24:54):
I I'm so I'm gonna rest.

Speaker 2 (01:24:59):
Oh, there you go. I never knew any of the
words too.

Speaker 3 (01:25:10):
I thought it cheers today.

Speaker 2 (01:25:13):
Oh really really good?

Speaker 1 (01:25:14):
Yeah? Did you finish Drew Carrey Show.

Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
No, I'm watching that too. At the same time, I'm
like something, yeah, they call it.

Speaker 2 (01:25:23):
I think Diane's gonna gonna end up with uh with
what's his face? The barn Malone and Balone. That's right,
get to attached to the coach.

Speaker 3 (01:25:38):
That's like, damn Chilley Long is nice? Hollo ship there.
They always had the pretty the pretty people and then
the sitcoms all the time. That looks really good.

Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
Yeah, and I am ready whenever you guys are Christian.
When you're done, we should all watch the pilot for
the spin off starring uh Carla's husband that didn't get
picked off, like only lasted a few episodes and something
gap Racer wasn't the first spin off of Cheers, And
then they.

Speaker 3 (01:26:07):
Could they could I don't know, honest, they could make
a show of every character and that well they couldn't,
but you know they could try because they see.

Speaker 1 (01:26:15):
All right, I should want I want to make a
thing of like watching all the one season spin offs,
like that Joey show from Joey from Friends when he
had his show for everyone.

Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
Everyone was convinced that was good. I was like, that's
a sure fire head yep, yeah it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
All right, I'm ready to bring it in. Let's uh,
let's do this.

Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
That was incredible, That was perfect. More more like that, please,
we'll definitely enjoy that. I'm gonna take Penny out real quick.
Oh my god. H all right, I'm posting these to

(01:27:06):
to Blue Sky. Now there you go.

Speaker 1 (01:27:17):
Okay, thanks for hanging out everybody. Uh yeah, this is
a This is a bonanza.

Speaker 2 (01:27:22):
What we've done here.

Speaker 1 (01:27:23):
That banana Bird is so upsetting to look at. Really
don't like it. Oh yeah, I'm letting my Mike earned
this one. I was having more fun helping him with
his game than designing mine.

Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
Are you kidding me? It was a good time.

Speaker 1 (01:27:43):
Yeah. We'll do this with other games, for sure. We'll
see if we can get Joycey's help, or even if
we have to just like get the template here, we
can come up with something. What game is the Banana Bird?
Even from that looks like a Donkey Kong Country three
to me, but I don't know. Yeah, Finelle's saying at
DKC three, that makes sense, all solid and scrambled bananas. Yep,

(01:28:12):
you know, like on Guard, is that the fish Market?
Because it's Seattle, you guys get it. Sonic would be
a good series for this format. Yeah, I would enjoy that.
That would be That'd be a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (01:28:24):
Problem now is like.

Speaker 1 (01:28:28):
Choosing a game name like that that sets up like
the theme, the tone, and I think we've already unlocked
that going a little bit rippled, going a little blue
is the answer like one of the one of a
good strategy, and that just means things could get really
out of hand, really fast if we keep going to this,

(01:28:49):
like if we escalate from here, what happens next?

Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:28:54):
I can't believe he got the TV show Donkey Kong Design.
Oh yeah, we're all fans of Jason Fonelli. Here it's
right side side Bottomer Games. I'm right there with you.
So you have to reveal the name as part of
the draft. What do you mean, like we should like

(01:29:17):
pick the name first and then revealed at the end
or something that could make some sense. It almost feels
like like we should choose a name as well, from
from the list or something like that. Reminder, aw all
in is at three pm Eastern on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:29:36):
Oh okay, I think I got it right.

Speaker 1 (01:29:41):
Yes, this is a Mad Mike and the Mad Dog.

Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
Like that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:29:46):
Oh, choose a name at the very end. That's a
good idea. Although I had fun knowing what he was
going for and kind in the way a little.

Speaker 3 (01:29:56):
Bit on the podcast producers.

Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
I honestly don't get anyone voting for mine, like I
appreciate it everybody. These are the ones that are just
trying to make Mike mad. But no, I'm I would
also vote for Mike's okay, So yeah at the end,
then at the end of the name is revealed, so
that neither of you know about the others. Yeah, I
mean for sure, but would that be more fun? Like

(01:30:21):
would that make for a better podcast product?

Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
I don't know. It's hard to say.

Speaker 1 (01:30:26):
I had fun doing it this way, and also like
it was more fun to do it this way and lose,
then maybe do it another way. Man, it's more fair,
but it wasn't quite as fun to listen to and
and you know, actually make those choices informed by what
the other person's selected.

Speaker 2 (01:30:42):
So it's always a tough balance.

Speaker 3 (01:30:44):
Yeah. The link to the to the TREADI is on
the chat if you if you're.

Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
In the Christian.

Speaker 1 (01:30:51):
Are you excited about the return of Sue Kong?

Speaker 2 (01:30:54):
What is what is that? Why do I feel like that's? What?
