It's the Internet. You're busy, Let's do this. Welcome to
the Game Mess Deicides Podcast. This is the podcast where
we decide everything about the world of video games so
you never have to think for yourself. I'm your host,
Jeff Grubb, and with me is my body. In today's episode,
a new Halo game could be released on PS five.
Jurassic Park Survival looks cool, and we will be designing
(00:49):
the best Madden game ever. Uh no, no, Boner, no
Boner's rule. We're gonna do. No, it's gonna not We're not. Yeah, alrighty,
it was played out. We had a good too good,
too good. You do it twice, right, that's the Johnny
Carson rule. You do it twice and then you change
the joke. Yeah, okay, yeah, I figure looking forward to that. Hey, Mike,
how you doing.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
I'm pretty good, keeping busy, but yeah, feeling good. Uh,
doing a lot of fun stuff, playing some neat games.
Some I'm excited to talk about in the future.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Somehow.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Summer already feels like it's coming to a close. Went
by pretty fast. I'm hoping for like one more good
little heat wave so i can go to the pool
and oh sure, really really feel they really feel the
sun penetrate through the skin and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Right, really let the molecules feel the changing of its
of their genes as the sun does.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
It's dirty works right, right exactly, just straight to the
skin cells.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
I love that. How are you doing? Yeah, I'm with
them with Marino. Fuck that. Bring on winter. Yeah, I'm
looking forward to a couple more days of summer because
school starts really soon for these kids, and then it's
all over. And I got to start waking up at
seven am, if not earlier this year, because yeah, it's
(02:07):
not it's not great boy, summers. That is the one
real good thing about summer is getting to sleep in
until about you know, eight thirty nine. Some days I'll
sleep until ten am. That's good. Shit.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
I feel like a piece of shit now because I
had a hard time getting out of bed at ten
am today.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
And listen, I gotta do it. I gotta be free,
Mike manad, he's got a bird, He's gotta be free. Yeah.
So but I'm doing all right, you know, busy as always,
but again as always in a good way. So ready
to get back to work to wrap up the week
on Giant Bomb tomorrow. Ready to do this show here

You can get more from Mike and me and support
us by going to patreon dot com slash game mess
That gets you access to our discord server, participation in
Q and A sessions, and our game club discussions, early
access to new episodes of shows like Columbros, and of
course all of our shows add free. I'm also I'm
gonna do a thing if you have Big Screen VR
(03:27):
and you are a Patreon member, I'm gonna do a
movie night in Big Screen. I'm gonna set up a
room and we can all hang out in there and
watch a movie. I will come up with it. I'll
have the details in the discord here in the next week.
Or so well, maybe we can vote on a movie
even yeah, something like that.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
By the way, now that you say that, sorry to
interrupt you. We have put on new movies and movies
Night Channel in a movie's role for everybody who was

movie together altogether. She just joined the discord get that
role and she's you know, organized amongst your scier community.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Just had a war the world's movie. Nne's thought of that.

Yeah, yeah, that's that's what the whole thing that started this,
this request of the community.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
So go ahead, yep.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
It apparently went very well. I wanted to watch I
still want to watch that movie. Maybe that wound up
winning in the poll. We'll just have to watch that
every time we all get together for the rest of
our lives. I wonder if I did a shot every
time like a character is yanked away like mid zoom call,
how many shots do you think I would have to
do during that movie?
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (04:28):
I mean probably a lot, like because what else like
they have to do that, right, they have to like
one thing like what they can say goodbye? Right? Honestly, yeah,
you take a shot every time that happens. I'll take
a shot every time, every time someone says goodbye like
and actually has a normal call, and I'm sure you'll
be dead and oh I'll be done for Bobby worse.
(04:49):
I'll be worse than I was in the way mo.

All right, let's get into the topics of the week.
A new Halo game will be released on PS five,
according to a rumor. This is from alex Topia Game
Reactor with the details over there, but really the details
are Rev's Gaming, who is someone that does track Halo
rumors has done a pretty decent job of that over
the years. Says that the next big Halo project, which
(05:36):
I think Microsoft themselves have said, will be talked about
in some way or they'll talk about the future of Halo.
Maybe that's how they put it. They said that will
happen this year, and when they do that, apparently it's
going to be a new Halo game that's going to
come to everything, including the PlayStation five. Now, yeah, I
think that, Mike. We're at a point where I've done
(05:57):
these stories a lot. At this point where a Halo
game come to PlayStation. Isn't that shocking, No, not shocking anymore,
It's just is And of course that's going to happen.
So really, the part of me that is interested in
this story is I thought that this game, which apparently
is the one from certain affinity that was once once
called Project Tatanka. Who knows if it's still exactly the
(06:17):
same thing that it once was, but apparently that's what
this game could be, And I just wonder, what do
you think it is.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
I mean, there's a part of me that thinks it
is going to be some kind of battle royale thing
focused on you know, Odst or whatever those guys were called.
Because we also have a little bit of that tease
happening in Fortnite of all places right now, right.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Is that happening in Fortnite is what's happening in no worries.
I got my Yeah, I get it. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
So you know, if they're teasing that, and I don't
know why else you tease ods T if you told
me the project was some kind of Halo three remake
or remaster that would include both the original game and ODST. Sure,
but I wouldn't necessarily expect certain affinity to be behind
something like that unless that's what they pivoted to when
(07:09):
the other game was canceled. I don't know agedly canceled,
allegedly canceled. Yeah, but you know, maybe it was more
rebooted than canceled, because I do think that doing the
ODST thing is maybe not a terrible way to go
about doing a Battle roy Yeah, at least starting there,
because people are gonna want to be Spartans two and
all that stuff, of course.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, I mean, I think this is a good way
of thinking about this, right as the ODST characters would
feel like a refreshing goat way to go to ground
and sort of retreat into something that's familiar and people
like a lot, and still offers you up the opportunity
to maybe try some different things, things that people wouldn't
necessarily expect from Halo in terms of the kinds of
(07:50):
gameplay it's had in the past. So it's like, yeah,
they could be a little bit more experimental and at
the same time still deliver something that people really want.
I I just wonder, it's like, yeah, what does that
mean for the next real Halo? I guess we don't
know what the future of Halo is after Infinite They
probably are deeply rethinking a lot of things, and what
(08:13):
was once three four three is now Halo Studios. Maybe
it's like they're gonna have to continue like partnering with
these outside studios to actually handle some of these games
going forward because they just don't want to take on
all that work themselves. It hasn't gone very well so far.
It's that who is three four three to Halo Studios thing.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
It's like when like a person in a movie is
in a prison and they take away their name and
give them a number, even though it's the opposite.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Here is like, to be clear, you have no identity.
You make Halo. That is your job.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
Just a weird thing they did there, Yeah, gosh, what
is that next Halo game? Because you know they took
something of a big swing with Halo Infinite and I
liked it, You liked it, and a lot of people
just just just couldn't stand it. I'm very mad about that.
And part of a big part of the problem is
how do you how do you in twenty twenty five
(09:04):
and beyond, keep a really steady clip of content coming
to a big, expensive online game like Halo.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
It's a very difficult ask these days.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
It can be done, but it's very difficult, especially when
there is a big expectation of having a very deep
and intricate single player campaign that goes along with that.
You know, we joke about all the studios that get
put into the Call of Doody Minds. There's a reason
why there's so many studios in the Call of Duty
Minds because the demands for content.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
There are crazy. And there are some other studios that
help with Halo also, but not like that. It was
certain affinity and now they're making this old thing. Yeah.
You know, the trend inside of Microsoft right now, as
far as we're aware, based on the recent layoffs and
the canceling of contracts, is not to work with a
lot of external studios. They don't seem interested in that. Now,
(09:57):
does that affect Halo in the same way? I think
it probably does, but we don't know. Maybe that's the
one thing. It's like, Oh, we're gonna save our money
everywhere else so we can keep put more money into Halo.
Uh Uh. They have call of duty now, I don't
know how much they feel the need to really rescue Halo.
It's like, let's see what we can do with Halo.
That seems to be the phase that they're in.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Even story wise, right, because it feels like a lot
of people have checked out of the master Chief storyline's
been kind of bungled a good bit ever since Halo four.
So do you do you still have to stick with
master Chief? Do you try to pivot to something else?
It's difficult. I'm glad it's not my problem.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Yep. Same like a lot of things in video games.
Glad I don't have to solve it and can just
complain on podcasts. That's nice, This is company's great. Yeah,
very good. Good luck with that whole Halo thing. Uh
you know, And you're right, yeah, they have call of duty,
but that's there's still so much value that can happen
with Halo, right, I just I don't know. All I
mean by that is I don't think they're in a
(10:56):
position where they have to force it. I think because
they have call of duty that frees them up to
be like, let's see what is possible with Halo as
opposed to this is a five alarm fire, all hands
on deck. We got to get Halo back to where
Halo was, and they just don't need to do that
in this moment. They have some like time, some slack there,
and that gives me some hope that it's like, Okay,
(11:18):
a little bit of pressure off of Halo, try some things,
maybe something works, maybe people come back and they're like
suddenly super in the mood for it, the way that
people are super in the mood for Battlefield six right now.
It seems like a likely outcome at some point. But
they have to get creative and do the thing that
I always like, say, what up? You know that Christopher
McCory quote of give people something familiar in a way
(11:38):
that surprises them. That's just not what Halo has done
so far in the last several years. From three fourty three.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
It I kind of do hope it is almost a
battle Royale game, because you know, playing Halo Infinite. I
was like, I think this would actually be pretty good
as a Battle Royale. I think that Malo's general generally
somewhat slower time to kill would work pretty well in.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
A bottle royal.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
And you know, they'd already has all those vehicles, you
had the grappling Hook and Infinite. I just think it
would be a pretty good fit. I would like to
see them at least try that.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Yeah, And that's always how I felt. And then it
was like I always like remembered that was I can't
remember what the Halo engine was, but that was a
spoke engine. And then certain affinity was apparently making this
Halo game an unreal I hope they still take all
the ideas and the bones that was there in Infinite
and apply that to the ideas of a Battle Royale.
(12:28):
But who knows, maybe they have to completely work everything
and they were like, that's not worth it. We're going
to do our own thing. I expect that, actually, but
I think that would be I would be kind of
bummed out by it.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
So Space was the name of the engine that Halo
was using, and again, you know they did that because well,
hopefully this will help us make more content, but it
almost considers me a bit because you know, I like
the way Halo Infinite felt. I think even the people
who poo pooted aspects of that game like the way
the game felt, and you know, on real engine is
sometimes can be a little weird.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Sometimes it depends. Yep. Absolutely, I've been getting the mood
to like replace some of that campaign recently. It has
co op. Maybe I should force you guys to do
it at work.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Sometimes I feeling a little bit of Halo. I never
did play through Halo two. Maybe if I find someone
to do that Halo two rema, well, we can do.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Maybe we can like start like a co op series,
get through Resident Evils six together. Is that the one
you want to play? I definitely want to play six
with you, maybe around Halloween time. Yeah, I was reminded
last year we did ah August, so if we want
us to play start some spooky games before the end of August,
we could. I forgot, man, holy crap, that's right, August right,
like a real monsters Gosh, yeah, it's weird. It is weird.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
But I also in my mind, like August is practically done.
I guess we still have half a buck Yuess.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Left, and yet it's practically done. It's two weeks. It's
two weeks. That's nothing, all right. Other news stories that
I'm willing to talk about dust Scullum, the weaker of
some Capcom stuff all over the place. Dustcullum but sometimes
gets it right. Right now. Their current story is that
the next Resident Evil remix are Resident Evil Code Veronica
(14:06):
and Resident Evil Zero. No way, they don't say what
the order will be. In fact, I think they say
they don't know what the order will be, but they'll
be in twenty twenty I think twenty twenty twenty seven
and twenty twenty eight. I think I'm at a point
where I'm like, I hope this is the case. Those
are the two that I think would be the most
interesting to remake right now.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Yeah, I absolutely agree, you know, I want them to
remake five eventually. I think it's more interesting to remake
these two, especially Code Veronica, which is more of a
number game in everything but name than even Zero is.
In a lot of ways. Zero is a game that
was made, you know, in that edgene of the first
Aria remix, which is incredible, but.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Which is a timeless engine. Yeah, yeah, but just design
wise wasn't quite on par So that's why I'm more
excited about that one. Yeah, because I'm like that one,
they could spruce it up a lot, I think, make
it really good, and that's that's what I want to see.
But yeah, cod Ronico say thing they could really do
a lot there, and that that one's beloved, but also
like deeply underplayed because it was dreamcast first, right, and
(15:08):
there's not a lot of people played it on there.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Yeah, yeah, I think, like I bet more people bought
cob rukat X, which was the PS two port. You know,
they always do poured it to a lot of things,
for sure, you know, I want to play that version.
But yeah, even hear some people say, like there are
aspects of that game that feel kind of a little
wonky your age. That was the first one that didn't
have the pre rendered backgrounds of the mainline game, so
in some ways maybe a little kind of ugly. They're
(15:31):
not especially compared to Ari remake. I find the time
frame a little interesting here because we're already so you.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Know, next year we're going to get R E nine
and that's like February though, right, that's like very early
in the year. Yeah, so I guess if it's like
a matter of you know, these are going to each
come out twenty twenty seven apart from each other. Yeah,
that sounds right.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
Sure, twenty twenty seven is going to be the thirtieth
anniversary of the Oh no, no, never, my next year's
gonna be the thirty.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
That's a thirty. Yes, it's right, it's next year. That's
what nine is all about. Yeah, so you know, maybe
it's kicking off the whole thing there. It's all weird.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
It's like we don't know which ones first, Like, well,
there is typically a team that does these remakes, right.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Or was there a difference? I think kind of three
and yes, a different exactly a different team did three. Uh,
and so that's and and then three came out relatively
soon after two, right, So so I ges it probably
all sounds like it's lining up to be the like
a repeat of all that. Right we get probably when
we clearly get nine first, and then we get probably
(16:37):
probably Code Veronica and then zero. That probably is the
way you do it, I thinks, so.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
And yeah, because I kind of see that cadence working
out really well, of you know, you have you know,
we just had a very big remake it four. Now
you have you know, mainline two remakes, maybe another main
line and then you worry about Resident Evil five or
what you want to do with that, and god, I
hope they remake Resivil six. What how what does that
look like?
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Yeah? Why the hell not? Actually?
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Yeah, then you have Resiel seven and then it's like, oh,
we don't need to remake it anymore. Maybe at that
point they remake Resival one again, and I clenched my
butt cheeks, like, okay, good luck.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
I mean, I just WoT. I'm sure it would be great,
but it's like it doesn't gonna be better than that
Gamekeep one. I don't know. Uh, maybe that point they
do start doing Dino Crisis. I just I think they
could pull that off in a way that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Yeah, you know, even like, again they have two teams
doing these remakes. Eventually, you're not really gonna need two teams.
So maybe you do get that quote unquote B team,
that Ari three team, and maybe one's doing zero. Maybe
you give them Dino Crisis. I an Ari three remake defender.
I feel like most people just immediately kind of crap
on that game for its shortcomings. I think it's high
points are incredibly high. I think it's a really fun
(17:48):
game in a lot of ways.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Uh, last thing here, I don't did you get a
chance to watch watch that Jurassic Park Survival behind the
scenes video.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
I've kind of a peaked around it a bit. I
didn't watch it. I'm just glad to see this game again.
I was getting a little worried.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
That's exactly. That's really what we can take away from
this video. There are some details. It takes place the
day after the events of Jurassic Park one. It is
completely Jurassic Park coded, not Jurassic World. Yes, fantastic, love
to hear it. You play as a character. They had
the actor get on the screen and she talked a
lot about her role. It is let's see there were
(18:26):
some other things in that. Really, what it is is, Hey,
this game exist, and they feel confident enough about it
to sort of put on this pageantry the show of Hey,
let's talk about how important Jurassic Park is, and this
is us getting to finally really explore a lot of
these ideas we've always wanted to do. And I said,
what the fuck about trespasser? How dare you dismiss trespasser.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Oh god, yeah, look, you're gonna become a trespasser defender.
But I will be very happy to have a good
first person Jurassic Park game. I mean that franchise. There's
still a lot of hunger for it. Jurassic World Rebirth
a movie I haven't heard anybody say they like, except
for jan still made a ton of money, right, there's
still pretty big hunger for this franchise. I am glad
(19:13):
again that this is Jurassic Park one coded just the
day after. I love the aesthetics of that movie. I
love that stupid giant gate. I love the weird visitors center,
and just the fact that it is Disneyland meets Natural
History Museum. It's such a cool, freaking look. The idea
of it kind of being a survival horror game in
(19:35):
some ways, but probably you know, I know, we say, oh,
Alien Isolation with dinosaurs. I bet it'll be a bit
more actiony than that game but had elements. Yeah, but
having like a sequence where you're hiding from a velociraptor
in the kitchen or whatever it is, it's gonna be
really exciting. I think Saber has been doing some neat
stuff lately. This game like looks you know, I love
(19:58):
Saber Sometimes, you know, it's like, oh, they kind of
make B games. That's great, they make great B games.
This does not look very b gamy. This game looks
very high end.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Yeah. So, I mean a couple of things, like where
we are at in games right now is in chat
someone's just assuming like this is a punch Tree game,
right It's like, no, No, this is a full on
our first person action adventure game with set pieces. It
is kind of like like when you were a kid,
if you got to design a Jurassic Park game. It's
(20:28):
that and we don't get a lot of those. We
just assume we're getting what This is also the team
doing hell Razer, and when that stuff was being teased,
we're all going, it would be nice if that was.
And I'll just put this in scare quotes. I don't
mean it as pejoratively as it's going to sound, but well,
you know, maybe it's a real game, but it's probably
going to be an asymmetrical horror multiplayer game like all
(20:48):
of these things are. And then it turned out to
be a you know, real game, And so that's the
one thing that I'm beginning to rely on Saber to
be able to deliver is take these familiar ip and
don't just do the easy route, actually make a again
real game or the game that I'm kind of craving
from these ips. And then yeah, for the other thing
(21:10):
from behind the scenes video is it wasn't just you know, oh,
we're going to talk to the Saber developers. There was
a ton of people from Universal who were just like,
this is important to us. We are like all in
on this game. We believe in it. This is something
that we really think could be like, we think it
could be important, and we think this team can deliver it.
It's okay, so there's probably some money behind it, and
(21:32):
as you pointed out, it looks like it's got a
decent amount of money behind it. Well, we'll see if
they could pull it off. I do wonder, like what
it's like inside Saber with so many projects, that's got
to be kind of like working on an assembly line
at a certain point. I hope they are good at
budgeting their time and their scope so that they can
deliver these games consistently going forward, because it's just nice
(21:54):
to have them.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Yeah, a bunch of things I'm excited about I'm actually
really hopeful for turuk Or. I have the idea of
that quite a bit. Okay, give me dinosaurs, Like I
was saying while you're playing Trespasser, I want more dinosaur games.
But even you know that that nice Little Republic remake,
I think that's that's still a real thing, and I
think that they can do it, and I hope they deliver.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Yep. Absolutely, all right, those are the big stories I
wanted to talk about. But we don't have to just
talk about what I want to talk about. We could
talk about what the community wants to talk about in
the superchats, which we'll get to right after this break.
All Right, we're back. It's decides. Let's get into the
super chats, please, Mike Manatti. All right.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Sam from Saskatchewan says, loving the diversity and badness on
Blake Club. Having different types of awfulness is fun. Any
genre slash gameplay you'd be interested in seeing on future
Blake Club FMV? Gosh, yeah, I definitely would like to
see like you know, weird FMV games.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
The scene.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
There's like a really bad strategy game, right, you know
there is.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
I was I'm like really close to picking one, but
it's like it's not quite time yet. I'll just I'll
just tell you because I don't think I would make
you play it Stalin versus Martians. Oh my god, it's uh,
it's one of the worst reviewed games of all time.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
That would be a funny thing to give to the
Command and Conquer super fan.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Huh uh huh exactly chat earlier. He won't remember. I'm
not worried about him.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Yeah, that'd be great, you know. And I saw Dan
talking about this on his Twitch to you know, like
we have definitely done a lot of the heavy hitters.
You still find some sometimes like Trespasser, and I think
there are gonna be some more some some some picks
up before we maybe say, well, this might not be
as you know, immediately hilarious as a Sonic O six,
just from bugs and stuff like that. There are other
(23:44):
flavors of bad games that I am.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Curious to explore, you know. I like Pimp My Ride.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
Right at first, it's like, oh, is this just gonna
be repetitive and boring, and then the repetitiveness itself becomes
interesting and then shocking ways to become add in crazy
and give you those moments.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
So I like, to me it is you know, it
is all a big goof, but there is actually something.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
Not not scientific, something not educational, but something deeper about
finding all these bad games and playing through them that
I don't want to just be hamstrung to.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Which one do I think is the funniest? Yeah? I uh,
it's and it's like you're right, there's not a ton
of heavy hitters up, but there's still some. I think, Uh,
Mike's game that we're gonna do next probably is going
to be a relatively heavy hitter, and then Dance I
think will be one most people have not heard of
if we end up going that way, which we probably will.
All Right, what's next? Getting Virtual Highlight? Uh? No, you
(24:44):
think I would like that game? Maybe not? Next one
is signed for?
Speaker 3 (24:48):
Sketchwan says, do you think Night Dive should remaster Dai Katan?
Speaker 1 (24:51):
I do think they should. Yes, Yeah, I definitely didn't
think they should because I mean, you can definitely just
do things and remastered to make that game a good
deal better, even in you know, Heretic and Hex and
they mess with damage values a bit, doing a lot
of that and Dikatonic and Hope just fixing the AI right,
(25:12):
like just just doing some modern passes on that would
be a huge shop. But there's just kind of a
historical aspect of Daykatana too, right. It is interesting and
it is relevant. So I would like to see them
do something there. I think they should. It would be
cool to see. And you know, it's the kind of
(25:32):
thing where they go in there and they do a
ton of work. Do you see what Limited Run Games
did to Bubbs three D with the analog controls. They
showed that off on a stream I think earlier today
it's like, oh my god, the game kind of looks good. Now,
it's like you can probably do a lot of work
to Da Katana over at night. Diive to get to
a point where it's like, okay, they did fix this,
(25:52):
and I want to see what that game looks like.
I would never be allowed to play it on Blake Club,
but I want to see it, Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
But I definitely have other things I want Dive to do, honestly,
Like I've been enjoying the Hexan and Heretic Ringmaster things
so much. I hope they just do a hex and
two Heretic two package as well, And then you know,
I bring up Star Trek Voyager Elite.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Force all the time. When I talk to them, they're
like their white whale continues to be their white whale,
which is no one lives forever. Is that that's that? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Yeah, I would I would love that. I always heard
amazing things about that game, and it's just, you know,
the rights were a little weird. But hopefully they can
figure that out. It's not like that game is getting
value for anybody in any other way. Like the only
people who can extract value from that game right now
is night Dive. So just let them do it for
you exactly, and then give me those Dark Forces sequels
because I really want Jedi Knight and Jedi Alcasting.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Yeah excuse me? Well yeah, well please start over.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Well guess okay, Yeah, I want yeah, because I really
want Star Wars Dark Forces to Jedi Knight, and I
really want Star Wars Dark Forces three, Jedi Night two
Jedi Outcasts, And I also really want Star Wars Dark
Forces for Jedi Night three, Jedi Outcasts.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Two Jedi Academy. I would like that too. Then make
a fifth one so I can make another.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
Jedi Outcast is so good, But I was I was
thinking about Jedi Outcasts is how freaking good that game is.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
I've literally been thinking the same thing. I'm like, I
should replay all those games. Suffering good? All right?
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Signon from Saskatchewan again, says I think seventy's Porner music
would be a good accompaniment to Mike eating the donut.
It's very Homer Simpson, like, did you trade your soul
to Devil Flanders?
Speaker 1 (27:34):
No?
Speaker 3 (27:34):
I sole my soul a long time ago. How do
you think Kingdom Hearts happened?
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Huh? You believe that whole elevator story rooms.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Yeah, no, I'm going to hell so that this world
could have Kingdom Hearts? Maybe because of it that lex
Letty says games compredictions, He he does lock that's not
next week?
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Huh, yeah it is. I like, haven't really thought about
it at all. Like what I mean, Xbox usually has
a presence, right, and so I think we could probably
expect a bunch of stuff from them. They'll have the
exact details of the Roger ally and May. Okay, this
is where we get the date for Hollow Night Silk Song.
(28:16):
There you go, it's gonna be playing on the show floor.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
Yeah, I think it's gonna be one of the big
things here, I'm trying to last year. I know, we
got Borlance forst kind of the big last thing they
announced that secret level show.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
I was there in person last year.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
That's right, That's right, that's right next to Aaron Greenbrigg
the whole time bugging him about Crimson Skies.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Uh So, yeah, you know, there will be a few
fun things.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
This's never quite as much as the Game Wars or
even SGF. It's kind of the least of the three,
but there still will be stuff there. And I do
think this being Silk Songs Night as kind of a payoff.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
For the years of the jokes and the memes and
the clown makeup. Yeah, yeah, I think I think that's
what we're gonna get. Will feel good. Beyond that, I
really don't know. And again, like I said, I've not
paid any attention, so it's it's really hard to predict.
I'm ready to just be surprised. Maybe this is where
this Halo thing shows up, right, Yeah, don't have something
that Nintendo has got some games there, right, because they
(29:14):
have only Yeah, they're taking part of games Com Europe,
which is happening adjacent to this, and then they're gonna
have a Hollow Night playable at their thing at games Come.
I wonder if you know, we haven't seen anything for
Resident Evil nine since SGF, maybe we do see there's
something else of that or and that was a Killie thing,
so that could be an opening Night Live. Yeah, same
(29:34):
with Onny Musha see some more of that. So they
probably just save all it, like I mean, they probably
do go quiet until Game Awards, because then they could
just power through for the next two months until that
game comes out.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Let's see her now, Zombie pour Rent. According to YouTube,
Blake Club started September one, twenty twenty two. For the
upcoming anniversary. I think Giant Bond needs a shirt with
Mike on it. Dino Pene, Gosh, it's gonna be three
years coming up here of Wow Lake Club.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Can you imagine that? Part of me is like it
feels like it's always been there, and then a part
of me is like, ohow, it's already been three years.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Gosh, because I mean it wasn't even called Blake Club
at first. It was just Dan was just playing sonic
O six, right, That's.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Right, he was just playing son Coke six. So did
you factor that into things? Zombie Pooring because it would
be the first episode where he played Sonico six. You
probably are factoring that end. It was retroactial. It's like
Apollo one, who was retroactively called that. Yes, exactly, just
as big a disaster, that's right. Yeah, and it makes
me cry just thinking about it. Sonic.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
So yeah, right. Next one is Reach, says Jeff. I'm
a huge fan of Trespasser on level three where the
raptor was killing you over and over.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
If you had just one eighty there was a rifle
behind you to help with Telly. There need any tips,
I'm here, Yeah, I need all the tips. Tell me everything.
You're not allowed to do that, but or you're allowed
to read them. You're allowed to do whatever you want.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
You can write the tips in chat and I will
continue to ignore them.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Yeah, there you go. Perfect. You're doing fine. Yeah. I
think we probably are on pace to beat this in
two episodes from now. Let me we might turn soon.
Uh that boy?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Jerry says, are we getting spoon Heaven before the analog
three D? Analog three D is pretty soon? I don't
think spoon Heven's getting shadow dropped next week.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
No, I don't think it'll be shadow dropped I think
they'll want to treat this like a big deal. So no,
I think we probably get the analog three D first. Man,
I would like to have that thing. Well, Hallow Knight
better or not or so Song better not be one
of these games. It probably won't be.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
But it's you know, like we've seen with Ninja Guiden
Rage Bound, where there's no switch to versions. It's just
playing the switch one game. It's not running that great
on the switch to. I just want to play that game,
you know, six or frade per second. It shouldn't be
that big of an issue. It's just you know, Hollow
Night two basically. But yeah, I'm excited for that. Let's see.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
J L. A.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Nap says some of us beat destrainting to this week.
I will think about these against the rest of my life,
the rest of my life.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
Jeff, where are you? And Death Stranding too? Did you
like fall off because of did you like lose interests?
Were you just busy busy? Uh? And didn't really play
much of it at all? It was I think I
was getting ready to go on vacation and so I
didn't want to start it up too much. And then
when I got back, Tony Hawk went right into Donkey
Kong and so, and then I was like, well, desk
(32:25):
randing too. Definitely, I do want to get to that,
but Expedition thirty three takes precedent so that that is
where my tier list is at right now.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
I think soon because you know, I know that you're
buying a few games. I mean you might be fully
stressed out. I might have to sponsor. Uh Jeff gets
a week off just to play games week where I'll
just take over game as mornings tell you, like got
of things to tell you.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
You go play Claire up Scare and desk training, whatever
you need to do. I could just be in like
a little window on all the shows, like in a
dark room playing the games. People could check on me
and like send me head pats. Yeah I like it. Yeah,
it is right. We should all get that. We should
all factor ourselves a ketchup please. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
We had that hate it, especially because uh we we
still have a few big games coming out.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Definitely a sewer link says not for streaming, just the
daily requisite outside f ICE and f Republicans slash Trump
penis that is all like you sewer link. The the
agro git is that like Agro eight the aggregate the r.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Let me let me take a look at me, read
it for myself and see what you got. Yeah, the
agrid height. Yeah great, Yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Gotta say, Agro says, I should I'll try to recreate
my voice. I mean, let me just imagine I had
about eight shots worth of Teaki drinks. I'm full of rum.
I'm just going nasty on a donut. Kids shouldn't watch this.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
It was a good travelog. It was. It was.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
It was a fun fun It's like Dan and I
didn't think we would get a travelogue out of that trip,
and then we were recording club.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
It's jackasses them. But it's a travelog about nothing. It's
the Seinfeld of web content. Yeah. At no point do
we talk about what we are in San Francisco to do. No,
not a single time in that travelogu which you weren't
allowed to do yet. You could say it now, But
who cares watching travelogue?
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Mah, Pizza bandits some kind of funny which that video
should be dropping in like a week, So I'm excited
for that.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
Yeah, oh, I can't wait to watch that.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
Dan did a very good job, that's right, Like at
one point when we're at the Chicken and Waffle place,
then recorded vertically because we thought at that point might
just be a couple of social clips, all right. Next
up is to one Freeman, Superstation one, Analog three D
and Flippy Driver, all shipping this month VMU pro ships
November twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
What new hardware are you most excited for? Oh I do.
I kind of forgot, but I did get a Superstation one,
so oh I got one too. Oh my god, I
completely forgot. Oh no, that's that's exciting and bad. Yeah,
I'm making purchase. This is that big and forgetting that
I did it. That would have been a fun surprise though. Yeah,
(35:04):
how much? I'm like, wait, how much did that costs? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:07):
Oh oh, I am excited for that though. PS one
good console, good console.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
It's funny that we have like a big PS one
thing and a big Nintendo sixty fourth thing happening. I
just need some awesome Saturn machine and I'd be in
a great but place. Although I'll be able to do
that the Superstation one, really, right, I can't remember because
the Superstation one is FPGA, right, so I could just
have a run there. I can't remember. I think so,
(35:35):
but I can't remember. Probably right, this would be my
first one of these. I need to like go back
and look at all that. Because I was excited about
that thing. I bought it right away, and then I
kind of put it on my mind because I'm like, well,
i'll get that one day. I'll probably be dead by then.
And now it's and now it's coming up, so it's like,
I'll check back in on it. Know how good Saturn
cores are right now, so I don't. I think they're
a anger decent. I think it's okay. The FPG, I'm
(35:58):
sorry not. The Flippy drive is also finally coming, Mike,
did you still want mine? I can't remember if you
were the one that asked for it. Oh right? The
GameCube thing? Yeah, sure, I had like four geecubes. I
may as well try it. It's super easy to install, right,
so I already have. I got one that I was like, hey, community,
the one I ordered, it's not gonna ship until like
(36:18):
way later this year. That sucks. I want it now.
I'm a whiny baby, and someone sold me theirs, and
so I will be getting this extra one and I
could just you can have that. Sure, it was it's
a basically it's a solderless install for sure. It's so
surprisingly easy how it is to put that thing in.
Just the one thing you want to do is you
want to buy the extension cable for the SD card reader,
(36:41):
so you don't have to take the whole thing apart
again to get to the SD card. It puts it
right there in the disk tray. It's super convenient. We'll do,
We'll do all right.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Next up here is from cy Cole fifty says, if
you were a donut, would you eat yourself?
Speaker 1 (36:55):
If you have a donut, would you eat yourself? Would
peenis pain? Yes? Delicious? Then I wash it myself down
with a tall cool budw washer. Got it like. It's
funny because it's like we are referencing an Esnel sketch.
(37:15):
You'd have to be old to remember, which is referencing
a baseball announcer. You have to be even older to remember. Yeah, rights,
love very carey, right Dan? Remember all right, We're good.
That's fine. A Charla Wolf says, can we please put
Vincecentpella in the goat? Tiered devs let lead call of
(37:36):
duty waner for one and two founded respond into titanfalling
Jedi in a battlefield six he does not miss. Yeah,
you know what I with this one. I really think
it was lucky. I think I think he kind of
just found himself in the right place at the right time,
because my understanding is he kind of came in so
late that all the decisions were pretty much made and
(37:57):
he was just trying to make sure that things got
done on time. Maybe that's not exactly the case, but
that's how I understand it. He is going to reap
all the glory for that, and you know rightfully so
so you know good, but uh uh, I gave me
that twenty Fall three and or maybe it's time to
get out of EA and go and do a new
thing again. Lollly, Sup says Yo.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
I don't know if you recall, but a couple of
months back I chatted in about how to Calm Nurse
before my first PAX panel at East. I guess if
ice worked out, because my panel was picked up for
PAX West too.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
A big thanks. That's great to hear, Sup, That's awesome, fantastic.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
God, I wish I wish I was going to be
at PAX West to come and see it. Just that
It's just one of those things where there are so
many things happening that it was like, I think we're
all kind of like this was one thing we didn't
have to worry about right now, it'll help a lot.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
I'm like both said I'm not going to be there
and very glad I'm not traveling.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
Yeah, it's a little bit of a relief, but hoping
not for too well. I definitely want to be at
Paxi's I missed pass I was busy being at disney
World where you guys were buying company, all right. Next
up from Jason Fanelli says, Howdy Fellas anything you're hoping
to see it opening Night Live next week? Pay News
give me another prag mattat trailer with just another stupid
(39:12):
little nugget that I could say is another clue that
it's secretly a Mega Man game.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
That's what I want. I'm I'm with what Mike said earlier.
I would like to see more Resident Evil nine that
that would be cool. I'm not getting my not getting
my hopes up for it, but it would just be
really nice to see.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
I should not have any hope for fom Fancy nine remake, right, I.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Mean, I just don't know. Probably not. It's probably just
safer not to.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
Oh, I think we're getting the reveal for the next
World of Workout expansion, not Night Rain, Midnight Midnight, So
I'll be excited to see that. I didn't get to
play a ton of War with him, but I really
enjoyed it when I did. They're doing Legion remix soon.
I definitely want to check that out. I like to
leave genal laws on my favorite expansion. So yeah, I'm
excited to see Midnight.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
People are saying Ari nine's confirmed for the show. Are
they confirmed, like new new stuff or is this gonna
be the demo that was at Summer Game festive gigs.
I always wonder like if that's what they mean by
these that sort of thing. But maybe they said there'd
be more stuff. Okay, trailer at oh at Opening Night Live,
all right, perfect. Then I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
I wonder because you know that the first show is
very horror themed, and now I wonder if this one
will be maybe showing a different side of the game,
maybe a more action one. Maybe it's another character, maybe
a familiar character, you know, so some buzz around that.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
I'm very excited.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
Same, Okay, next up is from Joe Beezer. What do
you guys think about gen Z spending less money on
video games? Will young Gen Alpha gamers adopt classic video
games whereas the future doomed to be mostly forever games.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
And in D's Yeah, so, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
I think there will be a market for quote unquote
classic games, but you know, maybe it's gonna just be
like how there's a market for, you know, people who
still like watching movies from the fifties even though they
were born in the oughts, like those people do have.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
Is it gonna be any bigger than that?
Speaker 3 (41:04):
I don't know, And can that mark I thrive like
that because remastering, rereleasing old games is going to be
a little bit more expensive than just, you know, showing
some black and white movie on AMC.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
You know, I'm not shocked.
Speaker 3 (41:15):
That young gamers aren't spending as much money on video
games because they do have so many free to play options,
and there are these forever games. You don't have to
just buy a new game every like two years because
games got so different since then, right, so the industry
is in a really weird place.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
Yeah, this is just like the report that I didn't
even include it in any of the news shows I've done,
because it's just an expression of the thing we've been
talking about constantly forever, people like consoles aren't growing and
all that. Really, it's another way of saying that is
the younger generation are not is not filling in to
like grow the space or to replace people who might
be leaving it. And so, yeah, this has been obvious
(41:55):
for a while. What that means for gaming also seems
pretty obvious. It's a lot of games. It is a
lot of a lot of these big corporations looking around
and being like, oh, do we make a mistake and
we or are we gonna have to like shift away
from this console space and kind of take all that
money and go over here towards live service. I mean
they're trying that that's not really working, but that was
the motivating factor for years now. So yeah, not surprised
(42:18):
by this. I do think that there will probably be
a little bit of a swing of the pendulum back
toward like a bespoke console for bespoke games, But I
don't think it's gonna ever be what it wants or
what we once thought it could be, which is what
we'll just grow forever. I mean, you know, things can't
be the same forever.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
You know, there's like a time my life from well,
these things are so gonna important that of course people
are still gonna care about Yoshi's Island one hundred years
from now. Maybe they won't and I'll be dead.
Speaker 1 (42:49):
So whatever. Yep, exactly all right.
Speaker 3 (42:52):
Next one is to one Free Man again, says do.
Jeff Passer designs an amazing shirt. Please, Mike, ye'all look
into I gotta brush up on some you stuff.
Speaker 1 (43:01):
I'm pretty sure that one's gonna be okay.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
But yeah, I would like to because it really I
do think that is maybe Jeram's best plate club work yet.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
It looks fantastic. It's just such a good logo, really
great word.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
Jerem Loookie Wright says, wait a minute, games calm, Does
that mean we're coming up on the anniversary of English? God,
it's only been a year of English.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
That's wile. That's why I've been haunted. I still think
I was fine. I think everyone else over react. You're
gonna go back there one day to that bar and
they'll just be like, do not allowing this? Man? It
will be a picture and you, like I wonder who
that's for, and just walking anyhow started yelling English x.
Speaker 3 (43:41):
Core games of a generous super ted here. I think
you so much, says here's who that Jeff gets to
play games fun.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
Thank you XCRE. I appreciate it. Yes, I'm I am
wrapping up Ninjagada a Ninja Guide rage Bound. I still
want to say Ninjugated a Ninja guidn't rage Bound, and
I will be getting into Expedition thirty three right after that. Yeah,
speaking of, I need to catch up on from Postman
Dan here at rage Bound making you play Ninja guyd
in Ones Pro August by far.
Speaker 3 (44:04):
The coolest opening to a game. Yeah, gosh, I was
really enjoying that game. I definitely gotta get back to that.
Speaker 1 (44:10):
I gotta it owns, it's so good.
Speaker 3 (44:13):
Some of my priorities a couple against im plenty through
right now that I need to get back to rage Bound.
There's like two games I'm smack in the middle of,
Avowed and Doom the Dark Ages that I do want
to finish before the year is up. I gotta at
least start dev stranding too and see if this one
is more for me.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
Well, you know, give a give a deal college try
and all that.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
Barrito says, here's a vote for Mike taking over at GMM.
He's actually really good at delivering news. Good radio voice.
Hear that, Jeff, I got a voice for radio.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
I definitely enjoyed listening to the show when I was
on vacation. So yeah, we'll make it happen for sure.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
It's funny, Jeff backham back before I was like a
coner thing. I want you to know, buddy, I never
missed a game mess morning.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
I know, I know. Yeah, I could always tell you
we're watching and everything. I always appreciated that, says I've
been apart. I've missed quite a few, Yeah, exactly. Sometimes
the busiest sleeping a lot that gets it up on stuff.
Oh yeah, I get that. But I'm trying to be better.
I'm trying to be better of that. Not even just
because of you, but like I generally felt more confident
about what I knew was going on in the games
(45:18):
industry just watching that every day. It helps a lot. Yeah,
it helps me like stay abreast. So yeah, uh, you
said breast.
Speaker 3 (45:25):
Next up is the last one here is from Jedi
Moss Force is analysts say, over cent, you hid percent
of mink catt World's sales are from the bundle. In
the is the industry misreading Nintendo's price move and it's
more about selling switched to at five hundred dollars.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
No, I think everyone knew all the Yeah, the industry
knew what was happening there. We explicitly said that was
what's happening on this show when they announced the price
that it was about getting to that five hundred dollars
price point, and all of the positioning of the pricing
around that was to make that five hundred dollars price
point look good. That's why when we were leading into
(46:01):
it and people are like, oh, the Mario Kart bundle
is probably gonna be hard to get might No way, that's
gonna be by far the most available bundle because they
want to sell at that price. They want people to
be accustomed to buying it at five hundred dollars. So
now it was pretty transparent what they were going for.
You're exactly right, that was the move, and I think we.
Speaker 3 (46:19):
Are now caught up on super chests for now. Thank
you so much, every body. If you have any more
you'd like to send, we will read them. They come
in before the end of the show. Thank you so much,
jeff ititzon back to you.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
All right, we're gonna take another break. When we come back,
we have a draft where me and Mike are gonna
go back and forth trying to create the best Madden
game possible. We'll do that right after this decides. Is
going to decide to make the best Madden game, and
that's gonna be between me and Mike, each making our own.
(46:53):
It's screaming Madden's Madden Draft. Let's se hear me actually
bring it up so I can look at this thing
without being tiny inside of my obs. All right, I
guess we can read the rules here. Mike, can you
see everything or do you want me to read it?
I see it for you. Yeah. Pick a name for
your Madden game and write them in the white boxes
to left and right.
Speaker 3 (47:13):
So we'll both pick a name for a game. Take
turns of buying parts for your Madden game. Person who
most recently attended a football game goes first after round one.
Whoever currently has the lowest budget left buys first each round.
If tied, the person who bought second last round buys first.
Once the part is bought, it cannot be bought by
the other player. If you run out of budget, you
(47:34):
must buy the one dar option go negative. If both
players run out of budget, both can purchase it. So
I know in the past we've actually had quite a
bit of money left. I think Joyse has mentioned perhaps
giving us this money as a rework.
Speaker 1 (47:48):
In the economy. Okay, okay, I like that. Be careful
saying be careful. Don't think that you can just go
ham again. No, I appreciate that. It's good. Good heads up. Mike,
do you have a name for your teamm Yeah? Your game?
Excuse me, game Madden Ain't Easy.
Speaker 3 (48:06):
Okay, there's no sex rules this time. We're not making
sexy games this time.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
Moon Football Football on the Moon. Mike, can you hit
enter on yours? There you go? Thank you? All right,
there it is. It's Mike's game. Is Madden Ain't Easy?
Mind's Jeff's game? Jeff's games is John Madden's Moon Football?
All right? Console generation so for audio listeners, will run
(48:34):
you through everything. We're going to go from the one
dollar tier to the five dollar tier. And Mike and
I both have a budget of thirty dollars. There's ten
rounds for this console generation. It is one dollar PS five,
two dollars PlayStation three dollars, sn E s four dollars
Xbox three, Xbox three sixty and five dollars PlayStation two.
(48:56):
So you can get a PlayStation two, but it's going
to cost you five dollars of your thirty dollars. Mike,
I went to a football game at the very last
week of last season, and that was an NFL game.
Speaker 3 (49:07):
My as game was a high school football game that
high school usually ends well before the NFL season.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
So I think you do have me beat there. Okay,
So I will go first, and I am going to
save money here and select the PlayStation five because I
just don't think this is going to make much of
a difference in people's voting, and if it does, I
think this will favor it. So I feel like I'm
getting away with something here.
Speaker 3 (49:27):
Yeah, I kind of wish I could get the PS
five maybe if my Madden ain't easy thing, I need
a PS.
Speaker 1 (49:33):
Two to go with that.
Speaker 3 (49:34):
But boy, that's expensive. Like, maybe I have to think
the opposite of you, maybe to think it does matter.
Maybe people are so nostultial for PS two Madden, which
was a highlight time for it for sure. I think
I think people like the PS one Maddens also three
sixty got better.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
I think everyone's favorite was that three sixty one. Right,
People always say what eight or something? Uh oh waits
up there for sure? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (49:55):
Yeah, maybe should just get a Xbox three sixty. Uh yeah,
I don't want to go Let's save a little money here,
let's go with Xbox three sixty for mine.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
I feel like if you would have like a Genesis,
that would have been the obvious one. But uh yeah,
all right, Well that those are your options. You have
twenty six dollars left. I have twenty nine dollars left.
That means you're gonna go first in round two, which
is announcer Mike. Why don't you read these announcers?
Speaker 3 (50:22):
Yeah, for one dollar, you get Phil Simms for two dollars,
Greg ol Send for three dollars, Chris collinsworth four dollars,
Gus Johnson for five dollars, the big man himself, John Madden. Boy,
am I glad I'm going first on this one. Jeff,
even though he's expensive. I think I gotta have Johnny here.
I think I gotta have Madden, and Madden ain't easy.
Speaker 1 (50:42):
I think that is the right move. I think that
that is a mover and a shaker if I've ever
seen one. I'm I'm gonna go with Chris Collinsworth, who's
kind of sucks, but he sucks in an entertaining way,
like he just sounds like you're drunk, uncle, And there's
a charm to that. So Chris CC do me, do
me some good here for three bucks. And the thing
(51:04):
about playing football on the moon is that there's less
gravity exactly. That's Chris Collin's worth ism right there, all right,
the theme song, and right here. Now I have twenty
six dollars. Mike has twenty one dollars. So he's gonna
go first, Mike, what do we have here for one dollar?
Speaker 3 (51:22):
Imagine dragons, whatever it takes for two dollars, Madden the game.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
Bye oh, that is, of course, exhibit by.
Speaker 3 (51:32):
Exhibit for three dollars. Andrew Wk's party hard for four dollars.
Iron maidens Ace is high for five dollars. Tupacs can't
see me, dang, I can't keep spending a ton of money.
Speaker 1 (51:48):
But you know I like Iron Maiden a loe. Yeah,
but it's tempting. It's tempting. It's tempting.
Speaker 3 (51:55):
I don't I don't know if other people share my
insane love for Iron Maiden. I can't the two bucks long,
I'm sure as a banger, I can't afford that.
Speaker 1 (52:03):
I think I might say a little money here.
Speaker 3 (52:05):
I'm not gonna get imagine dragons right right, because that's
just the good you know, I am doing a pimp
and a easy things.
Speaker 1 (52:12):
I guess I need to get the pit master himself.
Exhibit makes sense.
Speaker 3 (52:16):
Well, I'll get I'll get mad in the game, which
also sounds like Madden.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
Right, It's just that's that's what that is, exactly what
he's going for there. Yeah, I see smart, Yes, we'll
take Madden game. I think I think there's like lyrics
in that song about selecting your play and stuff like, yeah, okay,
I am gonna I'm going to go for the big,
big one here. I'm gonna go for tupacs can't see me.
I just think that one is actually gonna make a
(52:42):
difference for me. Although I would have loved to have
Andrew Wk's party hard, just not for a Madden game
that wasn't a Madden game. I don't associate that with Madden. Yeah,
I don't know what.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
I don't know if English hair metal really fits very
well with Madden. Also, this that's why I had to
leave Iron Maiden on the on the docket there, right.
Speaker 1 (53:02):
All right, so we're going to cover star now here.
Let's kind of just recap things real quick. I'm on
the PS five with Chris Collinsworth and Tupacs can't see me.
Mike's got the Xbox three sixty with announcer John Madden
and exhibits mad in the game or Madden game, and
I have twenty one dollars left. Mike has nineteen dollars left,
so he's gonna go first for cover star, Mike, what
(53:24):
are the cover stars we got for one dollar?
Speaker 3 (53:26):
The brown Zone Peyton Hills, I remember he won some
kind of bracket to get there, and I was just
it was so weird seeing a Browns player on the
Madden cover.
Speaker 1 (53:33):
That's for Madden twelve.
Speaker 3 (53:35):
Peyton Ellis was a beast too, so he was cool
for madd In two thousand and one, Eddie George for
two dollars for three dollars, Madden NFL thirteen's Calvin Johnson Megatron. Yeah,
I think I might know where just can go for
four dollars Madden eighteen's Tom Brady and for five dollars
Madden in two thousand and four's Michael Vick. Yeah, you
(53:57):
go first, Mike. I'm wondering where you're leaning on that.
Speaker 1 (54:00):
Yeah, I'm not sure.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
I'm not really sure. Part of me thinks the Browns
are you know, I do like the Browns. It's kind
of funny. Maybe that's gonna throw people off, though, But
look like Madden ain't easy, and maybe sometimes yet they
handicap yourself.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
By playing as the Browns.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
M I know Michael Vick was very good in these games,
but I think enough people are still gonna be thrown
off by him being there. Tom Brady is Tom Brady.
I don't think I'm interested in five or four. It
might be funny to take Calvin Johnson away from you.
Sure that would amuse me? I think I'm like, I'll
be a Cleveland guy. I'll take Peyton. Hi'll save myself
some money. I don't know if this one matters that much,
(54:42):
so yeah, I'll save out some money here.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
All right, fair enough, I am gonna I'm gonna choose
Calvin Johnson. I think he fits with like you're playing
football on the moon. You're playing john Madden's football in
the moon. You're gonna throw that and that ball is
just gonna keep going. You need someone who can get
some ups and Calvin Johnson's a big, tall guy that
can jump really high. He can probably jump off the
fucking moon. Uh. He's definitely got to be the cover
(55:05):
star of Johnny Madden's ma Tron. And there's a Transforms
he called the Dark Side of the Moon, right, Yes, yeah,
I think Transformers like had a blot going on on
the moon. It's my understanding. I don't watch those movies,
but yeah, that's so when I talk to people on
the street about it. Yeah, okay, Madden ain't easy. Will
Well actually going second this time? Now I have less
money now, so I have fifteen dollars Mike as seventeen.
(55:29):
We are onto the Madden curse, glitch. Let's read this here.
You've been hit with a curse based on your cover star.
Funds have been deducted accordingly. Okay, Wow, is that why
I got hit with less money? It's interesting, that's about Okay,
So maybe this is one of the ways that that
Joys is actually kind of keeping things real, all right,
(55:50):
And you have an evil Madden on yours, so I
like it. This is this is incredible Madden. Yeah, what
what is this YouTube clip? Should I click this?
Speaker 3 (56:00):
Well, it's because it's I think it's related to this
first glitch here that we're picking out, the Madden Curse glitch. Right, okay,
this is the Giant Bomb PlayStation four launch Matten glitch.
This one would cost you one dollar and it's also
tied into Giant Bomb More. Now, for two dollars, you
can get fumble into the game. Fumbles turned the game
into soccer for three dollars. Oops, headless players for four dollars,
(56:23):
tiny linebackers five dollars.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
The white screen and yeah, Jeff, you're first on this one.
So okay, pick your glitch. Yeah, I'm gonna click the link.
Let's see here. I think in the middle of the
screen match. I think we own this content. That's pretty good,
(57:01):
all right, Uh yeah, I'll save some money and I'll
probably go for that one. I do think it'll make
a difference with my audience. Although wait, uh oh, you
may have clicked on a checkbox that is not visible
toggle anyway, I don't break this.
Speaker 4 (57:18):
Yeah, if you because you already I think you already
have the pick for yourself, like there.
Speaker 3 (57:25):
Oh I see okay, yeah yeah, yeah, somehow you are
excellently picked.
Speaker 1 (57:28):
Oops, headless player. Yeah I didn't you hit with that curse?
Speaker 4 (57:31):
Based on the cover star has been deducted currently, sure
they already picked for you?
Speaker 5 (57:37):
Like, is that what it is? Yes? I think that's
what it is.
Speaker 1 (57:42):
Okay. Oh so we're just done with this one. So
I okay, did you want to do my one on
the first one? The dollar one? There? I didn't Maybe
I did get it? Oh so yeah, we're stuck on
this one.
Speaker 5 (57:53):
Can you see? Is control?
Speaker 1 (57:55):
See works in control? See copy? Are trying to copy? Oh? Control?
Z Okay, I get it? Okay, all right, yes, thank you?
Yes I think that is now.
Speaker 3 (58:06):
So I already get the giant bomb. Yes, good, you're
about to take it from you a piece of shit?
Speaker 1 (58:12):
Yeah it was okay, I understand. Now this is cool.
All right, So let's explain it one more time to
the audio listeners. So it looks like we this round
is entirely a Madden curse glitch that was afflicted upon
us based on who we selected, because Mike selected Peyton
hillis or no you you selected the one dollar one.
So you get the Giant Bomb, ps Fur Launch, Matten
(58:33):
Glitch and I'm with oops headless players for three dollars
and we don't have any say on this. That's fun, Okay,
let's keep going then cool.
Speaker 4 (58:41):
Yeah, I want to put the link to the clip
on the description of the pod for people who's listening, by.
Speaker 1 (58:46):
The way, yeah, I guess we should. Yeah, for audio listeners.
If you were wondering why we were laughing in the
clip from Giant Bomb for that game, they go to
the sideline. The camera looks at the sideline at a
character who is most white, and then he turns black
on the screen. It is very fun, all right. So
I have fifteen dollars, Mike has seventeen dollars. That means
(59:08):
I'm going to go first for the sixth round, which
is bonus playable teams. Mike, why don't you go ahead
and read these They'll be pretty self explanatory once you
explained that. Well, for one dollar you can get the
XFL teams.
Speaker 3 (59:19):
How about that for two dollars, a ring A Football League,
three dollars to Canadian Football League for four dollars, NFL
Europe or for five dollars.
Speaker 1 (59:27):
Classic NFL always a favorite. I believe in these games,
So yeah, I think this is an easy one where
I go XFL one dollar. XFL has got some like
meme like worthiness in our audience. I would maybe think that, hey,
Canadian Football League, we got a lot of Canadian listeners.
Maybe that would do something. Five dollars might be a
bit too much for Classic NFL when XFL is there
(59:49):
for one dollars. So that's that's my reasoning to go
with XFL.
Speaker 3 (59:52):
Yeah, I think this is going to be me extending
the olive branch to my Canadian friends after some things
I may have said about national anthem, and to show
how much I love their country. I saw a Canadian
football game one time. It was at this we went
to go see the Indians back then they were called
when we were at Toronto and they played at the SkyDome.
(01:00:15):
We actually stay at the SkyDome and had a hotel
and from our room we could see other things happening
outside and they included a Canadian football game.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
They have ten extra yards. Did you know that? I
know that. Yeah, it's weird. I'll get the Canadian Football
League from my team. Fantastic. I did play as some
NFL Europe teams in one of the Madden games one year.
That was fun. Like this logo, I don't know what
is this thing at all? It's an elk. That's not
the Winnipeg team. I don't think maybe it is not
(01:00:44):
the canoe looks great. I mean this NFL Europe freak.
What that was that? Yeah? I do not know. I
think it's like some dragon we are. We were at
alternate game mode. I have fourteen dollars. Mike cast fourteen dollars.
I picked first last rounds. That means Mike picks first
this round. Mike, why don't you go ahead and read
off the alternate game mode? All right, So here's what
(01:01:05):
we can pick from here. For one doll you can
create a fan.
Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
Two dollars, you get the virtual trainer for three dollars,
stadium management sim for four dollars, creative team five dollars.
Create a player slash career mode. Boy, I think with
Madden ain't easy. It is like having a creative player.
Career mode makes sense because you know eight easy. You're
(01:01:28):
gonna see that because you're gonna come up through the ranks, right,
gonna start off in the Canadian leagues and work your
way up to the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
So I'm tempted. I'm pretty tempted for the five dollars
one there, but we still have like three left after this.
Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
That would leave me with nine dollars for the last three,
so that could be rough. Although it's different between nine
dollars and ten dollars because I'm honestly between that and
creative team. So yeah, I think this might be my
last one.
Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
I go big on.
Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
I might be missing out something important here, but I
think I'm to go with create a player slash career
mode all right.
Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
I'm gonna go with stadium management. Sim I like the
idea of setting a price of hot dogs. That's always fun.
And also like the Moon is very in my game
and John Madden's Moon Football is very populated. It is
like different Moon Citi's Armstrong City versus buzz Aldrin City,
and you're gonna want like the people that control these
(01:02:26):
cities want to keep the people happy so they don't
have any more Moon Riots, so they are very intent.
I'm performing a gladiatorial sports and keeping people happy, So
managing the stadium there is going to be an important
part of John Madden's Moon Football of course. All right,
I have eleven dollars. Mike has nine dollars. He will
be going first for fantasy teams. Mike, go ahead and
(01:02:49):
read those, all right? For one dollar.
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
You got the Big Tent Island clowns for two dollars,
the Shiner Marshalls for three dollars, Shadowgate Monsters for four dollars,
Giza Mummies for five dollars, Hoboken Sugar Buzz. Look, these
are all kind of funny and goofy and silly.
Speaker 1 (01:03:09):
I think I'm just gonna kind of honestly, I think
I'm gonna strategically save some money here.
Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
I think this will be when I just go for
the one dollar option, save up for these last two. Here,
I will take the Big Tent Island clowns. I see
them as kind of the glass Joe of my rags
to riches. Madden ain't easy story, right, this will be
so yeah, We'll take Big Tent Island clowns in that context.
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Yeah, I think that that was the right move there, Mike.
Big Tent Island Clowns is especially funny, and the rest
of these are kind of pretty even for me in
terms of what I think their value is except for
the Hoboken Sugar Buzz, which I'm like, I don't know
something about anything that mentions. New Jersey's pretty gonna be
pretty funny and probably get a pretty decent crowd that
is from that area. But it's five dollars and that
(01:03:55):
would leave me with six. So an average of three
for the next two rounds, that's just gonna it's gonna
be tough to do, you know, I know, I just
don't think it's gonna make that much of a difference.
So I'll just save money as We'll go with the
Shiner Marshals, which is an equally funny team. Okay, all right,
so I have nine dollars left. You have eight dollars left.
(01:04:17):
I means you can still get to go first for
unique mechanic. Oh okay, this is this could be a mmmm,
it's a fun one, all right, Mike, go ahead and
read the unique mechanics that we could choose from.
Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
That's for one dollars, Fight for the Fumble, QTE for
two dollars, Interactive touchdown celebrations for three dollars, QB Vision,
four dollars, Rampaging Ambulance, and for five dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Of the truck stick. Okay, Okay, there's two here. I
really like, boy.
Speaker 3 (01:04:53):
I think I'm leaning towards rampaging ambulance. I think it's
just the most fun. I feel like trucks like a
something like like the Madden Freaks. Really, Revere is like
the best mechanic ever had one of these things? What
do I care about?
Speaker 1 (01:05:07):
And you know that was still leave me with four
dollars for.
Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
The next round, which is just about good enough gets
me everything but that five dollar option, which you might
be able to pick first anyways, I don't know. So yeah,
I'm gonna take the rampaging ambulance.
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
Yeah, I'll definitely go with truck stick. I'm glad I'm
getting the truck stick. We're gonna need that on the moon.
We need big, impactful hits. Yeah, give me that, bad boy.
I'm excited. I got that. Okay, four dollars to four dollars,
I do think that means I go first in this
last round where oh shit, oh man, I wish I
had five dollars, so fucking bad. Okay, tie in game
(01:05:44):
four dollars, four dollars, I go first, Mike, go ahead
and read these Although they're all really good.
Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
Yeah, for one dog, you get Jerry Rice and Nitas's
dog football for two dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Meet in League football for three dollars, College Football.
Speaker 3 (01:05:56):
Twenty five for four dollars, ESPN NFL two K five
for five dollars, which neither of us can't afford.
Speaker 1 (01:06:02):
It's a damn shame because it's NFL Blitz. Yeah, NFL
Blitz would have actually actually made a difference here. I
think some of these things still could. All of these things,
I think move the needle. Jerry Rice's nightas is, dog
football is funny. Mutant league football is kind of like
it's a little bit of the NHL ninety four of
(01:06:23):
its time, where it's like, that's the football game a
lot of people liked. College football is back and it's
huge and a lot of people play it. But I
think I'm going to go with the one I do
think is most beloved, use all my money and go
with ESPN NFL two K five. That is the last
one that they got to do, and yes, I want
that on my team.
Speaker 3 (01:06:44):
Okay, Like part of me is like, okay, Mutant league
football is kind of like the Goofy is fun one here,
maybe I'm actually trying to tell a story this time,
grub Man. I'm trying to make a real game. If
I am going to this whole.
Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
Madden ain't easy pro mode. Make a guy and watch
him come up into you know, a whole career. Maybe
I should get this college football game. So it is
like you play in college and you go to the CFL.
Then you make it to the big leagues.
Speaker 3 (01:07:08):
But you get drafted to the Browns, right, and you
know Madden's there the whole time.
Speaker 1 (01:07:13):
For some reason, an ambulance is gonna chase you down
at some point, like look, I would.
Speaker 3 (01:07:20):
Have taken two K five. I would have It's such
a good game, but it's a little redundant. You already
made a football game. Why an NFL football game?
Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
Why is your tie in game another NFL football game?
Because it's the best one. I'm gonna this is my strategy.
I'm going with college football twenty five. Okay, yeah, no,
I think that's a good move. That's when the Order
of Despair and a lot of people really like that game.
So I think you have you have a decent chance.
Let's get to the roundup of what has happened in
(01:07:49):
our Madden Draft, Mike, why don't you go ahead and
read your team? Madden Ain't easy, That's right.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
The console generation is Xbox three sixty with the announcer
John Madden. The theme song is Exhibits Madden game. The
cover star is the Cleveland Browns. Peyton hillis for Madden twelve.
The Madden Curse glitch that goes with that is the
Giant Bomb. Places are four launch Madden glitch where a
player just changed ethnicity in the middle.
Speaker 1 (01:08:16):
Of a shot.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
The buzz playable team is the Canadian Football League. The
alternate game mode is Creative Players. Last career mode fantasy
team is the Big Tent Island Clowns. Unique mechanic is
the ramp paging Ambulance in the tie in games College
Football twenty five.
Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
For John Madden's Moon Football, You're gonna have the full
power of the PlayStation five unleashing the dulcet tones of
Chris Collinsworth, who doesn't even know he's on the moon. Meanwhile,
Tupacs back alive. He's singing can't see me as The
theme song cover star is Megatron Calvin Johnson, who will
leap like forty stories in the air on the Moon.
(01:08:56):
My Madden curse is oops headless players, which are that's
just Moon ghosts, and we like that. We're actually we
actually approve of it. The bonus playable teams are the XFL.
This is a new version of the XFL that is
all premate prisoners that have been sent to the Moon
in my dystopian John Madden's Moon Football. Alternate game mode
is stadium management sim. You got to keep the people
(01:09:18):
happy with the hot dog prices. Fantasy teams is the
Shiner Marshals who are ineft cops. Think think of them
that way. The unique mechanic is the truck stick, which
is the best unique mechanic of any game ever. And
tie in game is ESPN's NFL two K five Tian
game is in like that's the other game happening alongside
(01:09:40):
their competing. Still back like when the world was beautiful
and things were still possible.
Speaker 3 (01:09:45):
I see, okay, all right, this is interesting here. This
is interesting is what could go either way. We're going
to leave it up to a vote to our community
members and see which side they're on.
Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
I believe that the poll for our community members is
up now in the discord. If you were watching, if
you're watching live. You can see that link right there.
Click on it and it will take you right to
the poll. Okay, cool. So we got to let the
tabulations happen. The voting must happen. Democracy must take place.
So we're gonna take another break. We'll come back, we'll
(01:10:21):
clean up a few things, and then we'll get the
results of who won. Screaming Madden's Madden Draft. We're back,
and yeah, maybe I did underestimate the collins Worth hate.
I mean, I hate him too, but I hate him
in like whenever I see him, Like, ah, this is
a fun guy to hate. There are so many worse
announcers in terms of actually bothering me. But if that's
(01:10:43):
what takes me down, I think that's fair. Because John
Madden was the pick there and Mike got to go first,
he got it, And yeah, I do think that does
make a difference. We'll get the results soon. In the meantime,
let's talk about what we've been playing. Then we'll get
back to the super chats. Mike, what have you been playing?
Speaker 3 (01:11:00):
Oh boy, I have been playing Control as a part
of my twenty nineteen apology tour, which I have been
enjoying quite a bit. I really like the shooting in
the game, which I feel like is not the thing
people talk about when it comes to it, right, Just
the shooting and having basically the forced power slash gravity
gun powers. That stuff always feels good to me, and
(01:11:22):
it's very good at being one of those.
Speaker 1 (01:11:25):
So yeah, happy with that.
Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
I got a couple more things planned for the twenty
nineteen apology tour. Slay the Spire is a big one
that I completely missed out on. And then I also
really want to play that game that is mostly talking
and I'm blinking on the name of it.
Speaker 1 (01:11:40):
There's a guy disco Elysium. That's disco Alicia. There it is. Yeah,
you're gonna love Discolysium. I play. I haven't finished it,
but I played the majority of it, and I love
that game. It's really good.
Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
What was I doing that year? I guess I was
just playing Keenum Hearts three and Firearm one.
Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
You know, walking around, you were sitting on your own thumb,
you were just just being a complete wasteoid.
Speaker 3 (01:12:02):
Probably a big MMO, probably get big oh yeah year
for me, I think actually at the height of that
that sounds familiar.
Speaker 1 (01:12:09):
Yeah, yeah, that's that's the thing. Is like I was
really deep in those games and it was great because
I could cover them and I was going to adventure
just for those. But it's like you kind of miss
out on the rest of the industry a little bit. Yep, yeah, yeah,
but you know I finished Heretic and you know, definitely
like that.
Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
We've talked about a few places we get a quick look,
you should check that out. And now I'm deep into
Hexin and it's that's been very good night time switched
to gaming.
Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
So really happy to have those. But how about you, Jeff,
what you've been up to? Yeah, I mean, like I,
like I said earlier, kind of cleaning up Ninja Guide
and Rage Bound, get on another boss fight, another challenging
after a challenging level, another challenging boss fight, and I
just think they got the difficulty on that game exactly right.
It is not from soft Heart. It's not like, oh,
(01:12:56):
I'm gonna butt my head up against this for you know,
fifteen try on some of these bosses. It is, you know, five,
and now this one's I'm probably gonna take about ten tries.
I'm really figuring it out. But it's like it's so
satisfying to go through the loop and learn the patterns.
I said that before, but it still holds true. And
I'm at a point now where I think this game
is incredible. It's so good. It is one of the
(01:13:17):
better games of the year, and I think everyone should
play it like it is. It's not just for people
who want Ninja Guide in nostalgia in their lives. There's
some of that, It's not what this game is about.
This game is about being an awesome action game right now,
and I'm just I'm super happy with it. So it's
one of those ones. Every time I turn on the
steam Deck and I am like, oh, I should be
playing some games. Let me go turn something on the
(01:13:38):
steam Deck that's still on pops in front of my
face and I'm like, hell yeah, let's just keep playing this.
So Ninja Guiden continues to rule, and then not a
ton else. Haven't had time for too much else, although
that things are starting to clear up a little bit
and Expedition thirty three is on the plate. That's what's
on next. So yep, looking forward to that.
Speaker 4 (01:14:00):
We didn't talk about Battle for six because they dropped
like the next day for us when we recorded Decide,
How do you feel about it we play on Giant
Bom if you people want to go and check out
that video.
Speaker 5 (01:14:12):
It was. I found it really fun.
Speaker 1 (01:14:14):
I don't know. Yeah, the nicest thing I could say
about it. It's a game that I was having fun
even though I was really bad at it, which is
like a good time. Hey, I suck.
Speaker 3 (01:14:23):
Yeah, And I'm as surprised how much I suck because
I'm like, yeah, I just right around shooting.
Speaker 1 (01:14:28):
I do that games all the time, but boy am
I bad at it here. I bet some of that
would just be learned as I play more of it,
and I do want to play more of it. It
was definitely a good time, kind of a fun, just
chilling with a bunch of people game. It's always nice
to have one of those.
Speaker 4 (01:14:43):
Definitely, yeah, and you're saying and everybody's defense. I feel
like the weapons in this game a little bit more
like oh wildy, Like they should shoot everywhere around and
it's kind of hard to aim sometimes, so like it
is a harder game to.
Speaker 5 (01:14:57):
Shoot at people than Call of Duty. What issues?
Speaker 4 (01:15:00):
Like every gun is a goddamn laser, so yeah, which
is issues practice?
Speaker 5 (01:15:04):
You know, well, I have a trouble. I have one
issue with this game, and.
Speaker 4 (01:15:08):
It's like climbing in this game is weird, like when
sometimes you want to get like on top of stuff
and if it's not like they're right high or like
or like stuff issues not climbable. Even if it's like
like knee high level and you can't like walk to it.
Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
It's like it's it's some weird stuff going around there.
Speaker 4 (01:15:27):
It's like the mobility kind of get feels kind of
clunky sometimes, but that's it's.
Speaker 1 (01:15:31):
Just that, yeah, And I think that just kind of
is exascerbated because clambering in Call of Duty has been
good for so long that it's like, oh my god,
this is what games can feel like. Yeah, even like
going back all the way to modern warfare, it was like,
oh that was the thing that really unlocked that genre.
For me. Is it feels awesome just to like climb
over this knee high cover or whatever, and Dice is
(01:15:56):
never really tried to do exactly that same thing, although
in this one does feel like they're trying too. And
so that's me why the comparison is a little bit awkward.
I was getting used to it, and I again, it's
one of those things where it's like I was actually
still having fun, even though I think I agree that
the getting around and climbing on things is a little
bit awkward in this game. It's a game where I'm like,
(01:16:17):
you're not supposed to play it, like where you go
lone Wolf, and yet I was still having fun occasionally
going lonan Wolf, like, I know there's a pocket of
snipers over here, I'm gonna find a way over there.
And I think it's just because it's early days later.
I'm just there's no way I would be able to
get through those lines. They would spot me when I
was like running along to the left or right, and
I would just be fucking dead. At early days, it's
fun because it's so messy if it does feel like
(01:16:39):
there's an opportunity to get lost in the chaos, and
I was enjoying that. I don't know how much more
of it really I'm gonna play, but every time we
play it, I will probably have a good time. All right,
let's do the super chats, Mike co Let's get into
those and wrap up the show. Sure, let's see you
think we got just one more here? Actually from Ratman,
(01:17:00):
doty two says lions suck skull. Okay, well, there you go.
Good luck with the vikings this year. It happened. No, wow,
it happens, all right, Jeff.
Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
I'm curious to see because on in the in the
YouTube poll it was a dead heat a moment ago,
Madden Ain't Easy just slightly pulled ahead nine. So this
one definitely is going either way.
Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
Yep, that kind of what I expected. I feel I
impossible to predict this one, which makes it exciting. Christian. Uh,
do we have do we have the results? You're ready
to go?
Speaker 5 (01:17:35):
I'll end the poet. I'm ending the poll right now.
Speaker 1 (01:17:40):
Okay, just a quick reminder highlights here Madden Ain't Easy
as John Madden is the announce here exhibit singing the
theme song, and he's got the color changing skin of
the giant BOMBPS four launch Matt and Glitch. I have
a PS five that's gonna have a tupac so it
(01:18:00):
takes place on the moon and it is headless. Players
is Mike Glitch. And you also get ESPN NFL two
K five. I think you just get that. So there
you go, all right, Christian, do we have the results?
Speaker 5 (01:18:13):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (01:18:14):
We do in well, first of all, in the YouTube one,
which is not binding, man in a easy wins with
fifty one percent versus just very very It may be
a tael for the for the real pole, which is
from our supporters on this core and that one. Oh
it's only the gap is a little bit bigger. They're
(01:18:35):
still pretty pretty pretty pretty close a pole. So here
is Yeah, there we go, and the winner is with
fifty nine point three percent. Madden ain't easy.
Speaker 1 (01:18:52):
Wow, so done.
Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
I do you know what I really do think getting
John that is he announce servis the deciding factor there.
Speaker 1 (01:18:59):
I I agree and deserve rely so like you, Yeah,
that was the move to make there that you spent
your money early and it made a difference. So I
honestly don't think. I don't think exhibit is hurting you either,
because we have some reasons to be excited about exhibit
right now. So I think that was a good strong
move as well. You'll just got the giant bomb glitch like, yeah,
there's a lot of things going on in your favorite when.
Speaker 3 (01:19:20):
You try to take and I got it. The YouTube
poll actually when it ended was a dead heat. It
was fifty to fifty at the last moment when it
when it ended.
Speaker 1 (01:19:27):
So wow, Okay, let's see where we're at on Twitter.
I think I where's the actual poll? There? There we
go vote? Mean? Yeah? Where do? Oh wait, that's the
blue Sky one. That's why I can't find it and
that makes sense. Yeah, okay, well it's on Twitter right
(01:19:49):
now with not a lot of votes. It's only forty
one votes, sixty one percent for John madd and Moon
Football and thirty nine percent of Madden. Ain't easy, So yeah,
it just feels like a coin flip in a lot
of ways. All right, flip that I won. You won,
Mike Manatti won screaming Madden's Madden Draft. I like doing these.
That was a lot of fun. Congratulations Mike Manatti. Yay,
(01:20:09):
I'm a hero. All right, Well we'll do that one
of these again whenever Joyce he's able to put one together.
We really appreciate all the effort from the community. Yes,
always fun. We got some fun stuff planned for next
week's episode when we'll be back. But Mike, I think
we're probably ready to wrap the show up. Should I
hit the button?
Speaker 3 (01:20:25):
Got one more super chef from zombie Porn, says Jeff
chose Colin Wharf, Collinsworth and Cops.
Speaker 1 (01:20:31):
Jeff pro cop yep back to Blue. There you are,
I deserve to lose when you put it that way,
You're right, all right, I'm.
Speaker 5 (01:20:41):
In to do this.
Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
Well yeah, I like that one's pretty good. That one's
pretty good. Oh well, that was fun.
Speaker 1 (01:20:52):
It was a good time. Yeah. What are we What
are we doing on Giant Bomb tomorrow? Yeah, let's see,
we are for upf We're going to play a little
bit of Drag and Drive. We're gonna check that game out,
but then we're probably gonna shift over to that Campfire
game to end up the week I'm really looking forward
to that. But before that, you have more content license
the Thrill Food edition. We're gonna all of us are
(01:21:13):
gonna bring some Fast Food licensed games to the show
and play those on the site. I'm looking forward to that. Mike,
you have yours? Are you ready to go? Mind that
I'll be able to get ready to go pretty quickly.
Just be a relatively simple thing. Cool, awesome, looking forward
to that. Games mornings, of course, will be happening in
(01:21:34):
the morning. H yeah, and then we'll get to the weekend.
I'm gonna play some video games. That's That's what I'm playing.
Or do you got any plans for the weekend, Bud,
I'm cleaning.
Speaker 3 (01:21:42):
I'm actually doing a little landscaping, which should be something
I should have done in this house when I bought it,
so it's been a long time coming, so it'd be
nice to take care.
Speaker 1 (01:21:52):
Of some of that.
Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
But out of that, play some games, get some sleep.
I'm doing a nineties Disney I believe on Sunday. Who
knows once So yeah, nothing, nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:22:01):
Too crazy, excellent, so yep, yeah, I'll probably I'll probably
play some Battlefield six just one more time at least. Yeah,
let's go check that outr Butts on the ground, brother,
let's go. Or maybe I get super into Dragon Drive
and that's all I play going there of course, who knows,
it seems possible. Thanks everybody for tuning in. Thanks everybody
(01:22:23):
for the support. Once again, let's say Patreon dot com
slash game mess it goes a long way, makes a
huge difference. I got some stuff in the works. We
will probably end up doing another Columbos episode here pretty soon,
not this week, Christian, Sorry didn't watch it all right, everyone,
thanks for watching. Until next time. I have a good one.
Picker up and goodbye either who's ready to not?
Speaker 2 (01:22:59):
I beat it narratives of frustrating with the game makes me?
Speaker 1 (01:23:19):
Was that no idea? All right, we're out? Did did the.
Speaker 5 (01:23:28):
Quiet Place game? I like that game? That's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (01:23:31):
Well they might have Yeah that sounds rety Place the
Road Ahead? Yeah cool, Yeah, that's pretty good. Why don't
we do this? Stream the show to Twitch? I don't know.
I used to have a good answer to that. Mostly
I think, you know, YouTube's just better for podcasts. Has
been my history and my understanding and my experience. But
I don't know. Maybe we could try it someday. But
(01:23:52):
having everyone in one place is nice, and having more
production exactly having all the numbers in one place is nice. Yeah,
I mean it was a big part of what's that.
Speaker 5 (01:24:02):
It was about the super chats, wasn't it. We couldn't
get like.
Speaker 1 (01:24:05):
Some super chat is definitely part of it, but people
can like do similar things on Twitch or whatever. But
it wasn't. No, it wasn't just about the super chats.
It was about kind of just when we get done
with the show and the show can just live on
on on YouTube and all those numbers kind of just
continue to build on the top of one another instead
of spread out at the audience people use you yep. Okay,
(01:24:26):
uh you guys ready, yep, yeah, do you have the yep?
All right, good deal. Yeah, YouTube did not crash this
much previously. All right, I'll bring us back in.
Speaker 5 (01:24:48):
You have the link?
Speaker 1 (01:24:50):
I don't, but I'm gonna find it in the I'm
looking at it right now. Thank you.
Speaker 5 (01:25:00):
No bonus, no boners.
Speaker 1 (01:25:02):
No boner rolls. Yep mm hmm. Here's the game of browser.
Everybody probably hear me clicking and clacking in there. Don't
make me sign man, let's see taking out penny.
Speaker 5 (01:25:26):
I'm gonna, I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (01:25:27):
Are you feeling all right me? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:25:31):
You yeah, I was just like I was.
Speaker 4 (01:25:33):
I want to finish the pocket so I could go
back to play some of that Battlefield six because.
Speaker 1 (01:25:38):
Okay, yes you got yeah. Oh that's that's wrong. Okay,
where did I put it?
Speaker 5 (01:25:48):
Are the Lions going all the way way this year?
Asked Joe Joe Bie sir and chat.
Speaker 1 (01:25:56):
Yes, they're going to win the Super Bowl? I believe it.
Like why, Like, what's the point of having a good
team if you can't be confident in them and.
Speaker 5 (01:26:07):
Then shase some rebuttals with That'll be hard when the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (01:26:11):
Repeat, it will be hard because of the Eagles. Yes,
that's definitely the team I'm most worried about. Still, that
offensive line is the one offensive line better than the Lions.
That defensive line is ten thousand times better than the
Lions defensive line. Without Hutchinson, I guess he'll be back,
(01:26:34):
so we'll catch up a little bit there. It's gonna
be tough, but it's they're looking good. Like you know,
it's preseason. You can't tell anything, but they're looking good.
Speaker 5 (01:26:42):
Yeah, tough cookie, everybody, tough to.
Speaker 1 (01:26:45):
Say, tough to say. No, no, they're gonna win. It's
not tough to say, but it's still gonna be hard.
Speaker 5 (01:26:50):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:26:51):
Wizman fifty four says we don't mind if you play
the beta do it in the podcast Christian.
Speaker 5 (01:26:57):
Listen, Yeah, yeah, I don't mind. But I've had a
better computer. I will.
Speaker 1 (01:27:02):
Yeah, the computer would, Now I do mind, I do mind.
Speaker 5 (01:27:04):
I wouldn't lie about it.
Speaker 1 (01:27:09):
All right, there's that.
Speaker 4 (01:27:19):
So if the Vendom game is still in development in
any idea, will be listen, stuff happens. Okay, that Vendom game,
it's probably really.
Speaker 1 (01:27:31):
I think I think it's probably gonna happen. Yeah, I
mean they they already like made Venom and you play this. Yeah,
it'd be silly not to.
Speaker 5 (01:27:45):
That, bull though. I don't know about that one, chief.
Speaker 1 (01:27:49):
I mean, I don't know if it'll be as good
as the Spider Man games were, which I do. I
really like the Spider Man games. But it'll come out.
It'll happen.
Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
Okay, and Shason Finelle shares again, I read that and
I forgot sorry to say. These are a confirm for
O n L. So far cut blab seven incha guidam
four are in ninety nine, A lot of the following
two okay, well Midnight follow season two and a few others.
Speaker 5 (01:28:18):
Okay, look at that.
Speaker 4 (01:28:19):
I didn't know they were making another Lot of the
Falling because they already did a.
Speaker 1 (01:28:24):
Third one technically right, No, it's.
Speaker 5 (01:28:25):
The what's the one? I think it's the fourth one?
Speaker 4 (01:28:30):
Yeah, because they did two of the regular lot of
Lord of the Fall was it Lord?
Speaker 5 (01:28:35):
What's it lo? Lore of the Falling or Lord? I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:28:38):
This is stupid, stupid, namely convention. I'm pretty sure that
this is the fourth one, if I'm correct.
Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
I got a Vikings fan in Chack great all right,
let's see there we go. Okay, we're set up. I
can bring back you guys cut from.
Speaker 5 (01:28:58):
Ship.
Speaker 1 (01:28:59):
No, it's catching up right as you were saying it,
so I get it, all right, okay it back do
all right.
Speaker 4 (01:29:12):
Okay, break brick the police going, this police going, you
want to put it on blue ski?
Speaker 1 (01:29:19):
I did, yeah, no idea right you could go in
and thank you Joysey and screaming mad and that was
very fun. I think you again. Yeah, take it back.
Speaker 4 (01:29:34):
Some people in the in the in the in the
topic and the thread, you saying you see pig, don't
you see voting this week?
Speaker 5 (01:29:41):
I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 1 (01:29:44):
Yeah, that's tough. I don't know. Okay, let's see here,
boo boo. Let's see all right, hyeah, don't.
Speaker 5 (01:29:58):
U democracy calls Keetchen boating.
Speaker 1 (01:30:07):
Okay, let's do this here.
Speaker 5 (01:30:14):
Screaming, mounting on the on the dressers, hey, folks, screaming,
moneing here to say this was a fine draft.
Speaker 1 (01:30:21):
Okay, all right, we got approved.
Speaker 4 (01:30:23):
Girl has pretty pretty solid theming, but Mike's feels more
modern coded.
Speaker 1 (01:30:30):
Yeah, I see it. Yeah, I can totally see that. Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:30:34):
I bet he's happy we didn't do like managed giant
fuck fast.
Speaker 1 (01:30:41):
Why would we ever do that? Yeah, okay, I think
we are good. For us to come back and then
we'll get the results in the bed. You ready, guys,
yep yep uh all right,
