Speaker 1 (00:26):
It's the Internet. You're busy, Let's do this. Welcome to
the Game Mesticides podcast. This is the podcast where we
decide everything about the world of game so you never
have to.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Think for yourself.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I'm your host Jeff Grubb and with me is Mike
MANAUGHTI in today's episode, there are too many games. Silk
Song be selling like crazy, and Game of the Year
contenders so far or Gody Gody of the Year contenders.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
It's how I say it. First of Mike, ho are
you doing stressed? Pretty stressed out? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yeah, I thought I'd go to the mall, just like,
I don't know, I need to do something.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
I was like, I the mall.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
That didn't really help them. Malls are pretty sad these days,
just walking around the mall. Yeah, And it was like, man,
there's like ten thousand things for sale here and I
don't want anything.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
What's wrong with me?

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Oh no, that's just I think it's a sign of
depression if you don't want any Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah, but uh, you know I did that helped. I
was driving back, it was like, you know, I'll go
get a hair cut. I haven't had somebody else cut
my hair in a while, so I just went to
a freaking sports clip.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
And did they did you have them do your beard
or anything.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Yeah, I was getting a little scuzzy down there, so
they trim that up fit me up there. You know,
obviously it's not a ton of work for them. I
didn't even like, I don't think I got the whole thing,
but like I got the massage and whatnot, and like,
usually that kind of makes me uncomfortable, and it still did,
but also was kind of nice, right.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
You gotta get it, get the give and take there, Like, yeah,
it's not the best, but also it's nice, I know
what you mean.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, so I don't know, just getting uh yeah, it's
funny because like I was in their database, like, well
it's been a while, and I was like, yeah, but
like eight years, like yes, exactly eight years, and that's
what I thought. That's about what I think. I just
went permanently balds were got.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
It almost sounds like you were having an anniversary for
the death of your hair a little bit, like you
knew eight years exactly. You're like, I'll shut up for this, right,
but yeah, it's a little ch I was like, I
was like at the mall, desperately looking for a way
to treat myself, Like I don't want any of this garden.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Right, Yeah, it's like I don't.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I definitely don't need more stuff in this moment, that's
for sure.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
I did get just like some replica of the Kiki's
delivery service sign that they put on the bread shop
in the movie, So I have that on my door.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
That's the one thing I got. Yeah, I like that.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
There's like there are four stores in the mall now
that are that sell Japanese goods basically.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I mean it's it's very popular, right, and like that's
something like people don't necessarily go out and seek to
buy that stuff online, or if they do, like that's
a certain audience, but there's probably quite a few people
who watch anime now on like Netflix and don't realize
that they can import a lot of these things, and
so just having a store like specialized in that scene,
I mean, you know, I definitely have seen that stuff,

(03:07):
and it's very popular in some most but mostly in
like Japan towns and stuff like that. But I'm not
surprised to hear that they are spreading. But that's you know,
forst quite a bit for your guys' moment.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah, and like you know, had the three I'm like,
that's you thing, and the third one was fye, the
old CD store came back and it's really more about
like Japanese snacks and goods and merchandise. I was like,
okay then, like but this time there was just a
new one that was very like, oh, it's just like
Japanese toys and snacks, Like okay, it's interesting. I went

(03:37):
in there and everything. But yeah, yeah, our mall has
extra problems. They haven't been paying their mall taxes, which
are property taxes the case you're wondering. So we're all like,
well that thing like closed out in any moment. So yeah,
just walking around there being like I remember when I
liked this, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Right, I mean I still really find the idea of
a mall at Christmas time to be romantic. Yes, any
other time is a little. Uh, it's always kind of
scussy at this plant. You always walk in and the
food court is mostly like.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Empty slots and like one to borrow. Maybe it's it's
a bummer, it's it stinks.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I get the impulse though, trying to like change things
up and find some respite anywhere, any like looking for
it at any place. Hopefully you can find something equivalent
to a haircut tomorrow, because I feel like.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
We might need more of these going forward. I don't know. Yeah,
I need some stuff.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Maybe i'll I'll actually get a real massage for once,
and I don't know. That still sounds like too much.
I'm indulging in weird and getting touched.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Decadent, the fall room sort of stuff. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
It's like, look, if you've gone this far without a massage,
it's just hard to Like.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I don't know, it's hard to be touched guy.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah, it's like, I don't know, I don't know no one,
no one touches me that way, but you know certain people, and.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
It's like, I know this is this is weird. I
don't like it.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yeah, I'm one percent understand what you're saying. I feel
the same way. I bet people think we're weird for
feeling that way, but.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I'm sure you're right. Thanks everybody for joining us.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I didn't say that again. You're supposed to say it
multiple times, so now it makes sense. Right, it takes
nine times they really get it? Yeah, nine times? Right,
you gotta just say that number over and over again.
All right, My stories we do not I mean the news.
We could talk about the news, but it's like, Hollow
Night is selling really well, Skate has two million players.
Let's see also, Sony to a host of State a

(06:33):
playlet next week. I'm mostly kind of want to talk
about the back.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
There are too many games, but we could start with
some of these, some of these stories are There are
a lot of games and they're selling well and people
are playing them.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Did you see you see the sun Crossworld single?

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah? That that had reviews?

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Kim, I what eighty two ish shape this morning? We're
on Open Critic right, wow, Okay, it's going and apparently
Mega Man characters are going to come to it something
that's right, that's right?

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Yes, so the.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Crapmember my boss can playing Before I was like, I
don't know, but we're putting Minecraft a broa blah, shut
up me.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
I'm good. You do whatever else you can get hot Sinny.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Make game mokey at whatever you can get the Brazilian
version of other people like whatever, I don't care. Give
me Mega Man's in a racing game. I don't have
to pretend that Mega Man Battle Chase or whatever is interesting.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Let's go the box confirmed Mega Man? Did it say?
Like like what or how?

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Like?

Speaker 2 (07:31):
What were the details?

Speaker 3 (07:32):
It's like, I think when you buy the box, it
comes with things like in coming characters from these franchises
coming later, and one of them is the Mega Man logo,
the kind of classic Mega Man logo. Yes, a pamphlet inside.
Uh it lists some.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Other ones as well.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
I don't remember any of this because I just saw
Mega Man and I was like, Yeah, there we go.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
And it's like not just you know, coming to this game,
but coming to a really good game. Apparently that eighty
four on Open Credit. You definitely won the Metacritic guessing
game from that one, because I definitely went in the
seventies being liked those games, always getting the seventies forgetting
It's all stars did not.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Yeah, new racers, vehicles and tracks from these things, Minecraft, Bunchbros.
Square Pants, Pac Man, Mega Man, Teenage with the Ninja
Turtles Mutant Mayhem. So those versions of the Turtles specifically
have a tar the cartoon right the Airbender. Yeah, uh
so yeah those things so uh gosh.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Mega Man, oh suck.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
It's just like classic ass looking Mega Man and it's
a car.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Oh we're so when did you let them do it?
Just let them finish? When you are out at the
mall and getting your haircut, when did you discover this
and did your mood perk up noticeably?

Speaker 3 (08:45):
It was it was like a little something, I'll take it.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
I was a little clearly going.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Us, do you think they're gonna use the fucked up
pac Man?

Speaker 5 (08:56):
Then?

Speaker 4 (08:57):
You fucked up pac Man?

Speaker 2 (08:58):
It looks like a dude, or they're gonna use it'll
be classic pack.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Be like pac Man, pac Man World Repack two or
whatever will out soon. It'll probably be that pac Man
Trails in the Sky. FC reviews also came in, like
ninety one and open critic. I know that you have
already played this game in like the last handful of years,
last few years. I want to say that, honestly, it's
not a great excuse I have. Well okay, yeah, but

(09:24):
it's like you know, there are a lot of games.
There's your excuse. But reviews sound really good. Honestly, though,
I still think that this was like the one where
someone like you when people ask you about this could
be like, hey, where do I start with trails in
the sky? Now you can point at this one being like, well,
obviously just go play this.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yeah, I definitely need to check it out because I do.
I like that original version. Yeah, A lot people seem
very high on this remake.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Again, I was.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
I was thrown off by a trailer. Whatever, I can
get over it. Who would Who would judge a game
harshly based off a trailer?

Speaker 2 (09:53):
That something? Something I'd get? Oh that's right. I wanted
to ruin you. I want to ruin your day. Yeah,
go for it, all right.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
I've been getting mad at people's dumb comments about the
Metroy Prime for trailer.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Yeah what I say? And then sew no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Sean made a funny h a clip from a White
Club when I was upset and screaming about it and
posted it in places. And here's somebody's comment to that.
Because I was yelling at people complaining about the desert,
w y not this comment. I think you're gonna like
this one, Jeff, Okay, come on, you have to admit
that wide shot of the desert was some Gen seven

(10:28):
ass looking stuff.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Why come on, He's like, look, I don't want to
be mad too. I mean, listen, I'm already mad. I'm
already mad at the same stuff you're mad at. Why
you gotta give me special madness? That's you know what,
it's these damn kids?

Speaker 2 (10:44):
These does that me? Which which one was JEN seven? Okay,
I have to do it this way.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
So according to EA, we're on Gen five right now,
so that means JEN one for them was PlayStation one,
which I think is the other versions Gen four. Now
that's Gen five, so that then that we could be
GameCube next, and then after the Xbox three sixty Xbox
three sixty generation?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
How much how much.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Better should deserts look than the deserts for the Xbox.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
It's I mean, it is, I don't.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
I mean, it's people not understanding what the game even is.
It is like so many people complaining about this aren't
have to be people who have never played any Metroid
Prime game, because.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Because it's barely anyone played them. That's the reality. And
then they stop into the room loud like a bunch
of assholes, like, ah, I know what this should be,
and you just sound like fucking idiots. I hate it.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
I know it's just I know part of it sis
the internets. Theer's a million of voices. But remember the
last year it was like, well, it's just like Metroit
Prime again, what's the new thing. It's like, here's an
open area to explore. Now those people are like, I
don't want an open world Metroid.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Well, they didn't say it's going to be that. Yeah,
to get mad about what things?

Speaker 3 (11:56):
ZIP don't clearly have no faith in this because they're
barely advertising shoe to Trump. What west are they supposed
to do? It was the one more thing in a
direct not that long agoing. No, you don't remember things
that didn't happen in the last week, but keep bringing
this game up. I know it's like getting two directs
like Kirby Air Riders. I don't think it's because they

(12:17):
think that game's gonna sell ten million copies right then.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
That one seems more like a favorite Sakaraza.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
It's more like, look, we'll let you have his main
drugs as what if it makes you happy?

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yeah, I mean I don't.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Get seven looking ass ship made. This game's ugly. It
looks like that seventh gen, not like, yeah, eighth gen
right now, the real shit. When the eighth Gen happened,
that's when we really popped off. I was so excited
when I saw that call, was like, oh, I can
now you get Jeff Jets as bad as me.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
I can really bring him down with me here.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Because I was like, I was like, I'm I am
just as mad. But it's like I try to let
it go. And I was very happy when you popped off.
It was very entertaining because everything you said I agreed with,
and I'm like, A, right, he's done the job here.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
I don't have to say anything, and then you had
to bring me this shit.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
And I want to be clear because like I know,
I think goodbye gaming something did a specific video. I'm
not crapping on anybody specifically, and it's not really right
everyone right, I don't even know who it was in
said I'll go like Mike trying to beef with you.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
I don't, I don't. I don't know what was even
said over there.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Really right, this is all mostly in jest, and it's
just like the annoying cycle of games getting announced and
then sometimes taking too.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Long, and then all this stuff always happening, and.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Like it is frustrating just because people have to imagine
a version of the game to get mad at you
have not played it yet. And I understand we do
that all the time, so we're just as guilty as anybody,
but it's just annoying in this case for some reason,
in particular, mostly again because I know the vast majority
of people.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Talking have not actually played these games. All right, so.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Song, Soilk Song has been sewing well, right.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Four point two million copies.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
That's like a guesstimation from uh, the the game Discover
code newsletter, which is like run by an old games
journalist who's been around for a long time and this
is kind of his beat now, is hey helping developers
understand game discovery? Anybody tracked this stuff and did his
best to kind of estimate where it's at. I think
there was another story that said it's already surpassed a

(14:17):
third of the sales of the first.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
One, so that would put it about five million already,
in which I.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Think it's probably been on sale a zillion times or whatnot.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Yes like, And it also had its highest peak concurrent
players in the week before Silk Song came out, so
it was selling super well up to the last minute there.
Either way, this game is a massive success. It really
is as big as everyone said it.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Was going to be.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
It is like funny too when you think about yeah,
like no Metro game has sold much more than three
million copies, though Castlevania game has ever sold two million copies. Now,
I don't like despair It as much. I don't think
every game needs to sell five or ten million copies
to be a giant hit. It's kind of funny watching
a lot of like PlayStation two retrospect as, even Jeff
like I do, and they're always like this game sold

(14:59):
eight hundred time copies, which.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Was considered a huge success.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
I think sometimes we get a little bit blanked by
how you know, these giant games that do sell ten
has grown.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
So that yeah, that eight hundred thousand number, you know,
do like through inflation or whatever how you ever want
to phrase it would be a little bit higher now,
but you're right, it probably is around two million ish.
So yeah, all these games are are doing mostly just fine.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
You know.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
We at the same time we understand these companies lose
their appetites for things that are not home runs or
Grand Slams. So it's like always worriosome, but you know,
right making Metrod games, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
You know, metro is a series that on the Switch
one we did get, you know, the remake of one
and a brand new two dy one, and then they're
making for the entire time. So yeah, I think the
title understands the value of Metroids. I don't get worried
about it in that sense.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
I think the one thing with Metroid that is like
has caused this to keep coming up as a conversation
piece this the sales of Metroid specifically, is we were
kind of waiting for Metroid Prime for the entirety of
the Switch one, and every other Nintendo franchise got the
Switch bump for the most part. Luigi's Mansion is one
we always bring up and stuff like that, but there's
a lot of other examples of games that did way

(16:06):
better on Switch than they had ever done before. And
I mean, honestly, it's Zelda and an Animal crossing all
these games like huge numbers compared to what they've ever
done before, and it's like, Okay, well, can Metroid replicate
that or will it even or is it the one
that can maintain its niche audience despite the switch being
super popular. Yeah, and that's like there's still questions around

(16:27):
that because Metro Bread Metroid Bread, METROI Dread came out
and was still just kind of in that three million
zone now, which was a big.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Jump I imagine from Samus returns.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Right, that's absolutely right, yep, and a very popular console
the three DS one where in that game was Samu's
Return is much more affordable in the three DS than
the sixty dollars price for Dread. So I think, you know,
as we like talk it out, as you bring up
salient points like that, it's easy to be like, you know,
what this much Prime for is probably gonna do just fine,
and if it's a good game, there is a strong
chance to see that switch bump out any time though.

(17:00):
Silk Song doing really well.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Right an you know, now Metroprime remastered, which you know
it's a remaster, I guess, but remaster what best games ever?
They sold it at a budget price of forty dollars,
and you know, it did like one point three six
million the last time they gave numbers, So it's a
little weird to me. So, but I don't know, maybe
maybe all the reactions is true, like maybe a lot
of people just don't get Metroid more than I thought,
but they seem to get soak Song and you know

(17:25):
a lot of them Bristol and complain about it's difficulty
and things like that. So that is I guess that
you know, something comes up and I've been loving Silksong,
but it is like, man, for some reason, this is
the one that is attracting a bigger audience than again the.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
The Metroids and venas of the equation there yeap Skate
two million players. It's free to play.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
A lot of people were always going to try this
game out, but you know, it's better to have the
players than not have the players. I I think my
assessment so far of I've played it a little bit
like ninety minutes, I think, but also just kind of
like keeping the ear to the ground seeing what people
are saying to me. It seems like no one is
complaining about the skating, and that's like if there was
a problem.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
With the core gameplay, you would be hearing about it.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Everyone does have issues with like there'sday open world that
doesn't feel like it has a ton to do. The
game's in early access, so it's not that's not too.
I guess it's it's it's a desert. Yeah, it's terrible
for skateboards.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
What a bad idea.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
You see Samus walk by, she looks like there's nothing
to do here. And then the other thing was, oh
the micro transactions, but free to play game. Yeah, it's
gonna have micro Transah, it's all cosmetics.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Actually played for like an hour before we went live,
just to kind of get my bearings, you know, may
we'll talk about it more.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Labatees having fun. Me too, I saw much. I was
enjoying it.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
I think there's something there. And so it's like now
they can go into early access. It's a free to
play game. People just go try it and they can
get that feedback and really just kind of building the
direction that the audience sort of takes them. I think
if it gets prox chat, this game will off.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
I think this game will be go Bit in their
day one right Yeah really yeah, really should have been.
But we'll see.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
And then Sony hosts Stay of Play next week, claims
Insiders this is in line with I've continued to hear
there is one this month, basically, but what will contain
you know, it's still up in the air a little
bit in terms of what I've heard, but people are
pretty certain it's gonna have Wolverine.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Uh, what are you expecting from the state of play?

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Wolverine for sure, one final sales pitch probably for Ghost
of Jota, which is coming out pretty soon, right, So
there's that, and then you know, I bet third party
stuff will see maybe a bit more of Resident Evil
things like that. Still do some character reveals for to
con the Marvel Fighting game, because that's them. But yeah,

(19:47):
I don't know, nothing crazy, you know, don't get your
expectations too high for one of these things exactly.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
I'm I'm with you. What's that Christians?

Speaker 5 (19:55):
Maybe that bunch of thing that they spun off the them.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
The mobile one Gummy Bears.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know if they show that
off at a state of play, right, because that that's harrowing,
that could be dangerous, That could be a blizzard situation
you want to be like, especially when people aren't sure
what's going on with Bungee. But I mean you're right,
at the same time, maybe they aren't thinking about that
or carrying. We probably do hear about Marathon. There are
a handful of games that they have to like sort
of get out of the way before they could talk
about other things.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
That's Marathon.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
It is this God of War spinoff game that was
supposed to come out this year got delayed internally to
next year.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
There is fair Games, Fair Games.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
I don't know Fair Games pops off here because that's
one that like still feels like it could get canceled
at any minute. But Sorrows, No, it's okay. Sorrows is
the other one that it needed to need to kind
of talk about a little bit. That's the are the
housemark follow up to Returnal that has Rahu Kohli in it?

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Is that ringing a bell?

Speaker 5 (20:54):
They closed the last either state of play.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Or yeah, if in the last one, okay, if it's
in the last one, thanks Christian, I don't maybe it's
not actually going to be in this one, then maybe
they could talk about that early next year or something.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
The what was it was? You know, it was a showcase,
the last in one of the big ones.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
They have a short they have been had a showcase
in like two years.

Speaker 5 (21:17):
Yeah, oh right, right, was one of the biggest one
that they close with that game?

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Yeah, it was. It was recently though, Yes, Sorrows I
think it's sorrows. I think that's how says S A. R. O. S.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
So, yeah, once they get that stuff out of the way, though, uh,
then they you know, And I mean like in this
state of play, they could easily end with a little
tease of Wolverine or something big for Wolverine, and then
maybe there's a tease for the Sony Santa Monica game.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
This could be a big state of play.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
I don't want to like over promise because I just
don't know there is ever recent thing that they might
want to be Like, let's focus on those games that
we have to get out of the way first before
we even talk about Wolverine. But I think if they
have a Wolverine asset ready to go, they'll drop it.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Here's there's probably actually thinks it might be wild to
not show these a little bit of Wolverine at this point.
I mean next year, right, people kind of need to
hear a little bit about that thing them, right, and.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
You kind of want people to have those good feelings
going into the holiday where we'll pick up goc Ota,
we'll get the PlayStation five for that this holiday, and
we'll have it for Wolverine next year. It's like it's
a compelling story.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
I think.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
So we'll see for a grand theft autumn one of
those points you think they could get a grand theft
auto trailer for last?

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Have they had great?

Speaker 3 (22:29):
They've had great ato that's shown up. I think they're
just doing their own ship right.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
I mean, they always do their own ship right. But
it's like, like, have they even mentioned it one of
these things? I don't know. Probably not, I don't know.
I don't think so. Uh, Okay, there's probably a lot
of stuff that you other people want to talk about.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
We could do that through the super chats, though, So
let's take a break. We'll come back. We'll get to
those right after this.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
All right, More decides, let's get back into it with
some super chats.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Mike Manatti take it away, all.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
Right, Songs for growing up? Says, Hey, y'all, what's the
scuttle butt on that cruise and blast DLC? I still
believe I.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
You know, I'm not never someone to pay much attention
to DLC. I think I vaguely remember this coming up
at some point, but I never paid attention to it.
So I don't know, but that game would be fine
to get some DLC. Just put some a couple more
levels in there and that'd be an all right time.
I would probably show up for it. I like that
game a whole bunch. It just doesn't try to be

(23:25):
anything more than what it is, just a roller coaster ride.
People should check that out. I think it runs really
well on the switch too.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
It's one of those games I tested out early on
with the switch to and it was pretty good.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Simon from Saskatchewan says, if you play the CDI games
on Blake Club, is there a way to get the
insane controllers to work? I've read there's a there a
big reason for the game's shittiness. You have that one
from Limited to Run, right, Yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:49):
I have the one from Limited Run, the USB version
that's usually like right over here. I could probably find
it here in a second. I mean i'd work with
an emulator.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, because I don't know what else are
I don't know what the feasibility of getting a shoot
CDI and then chipping it around to each of us.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Maybe yeah, I would emulate.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Probably, Yeah, that thing's fucked up looking, that's insane, that
that's a video This.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Is a CDI controller. Everybody for audio listeners. It is
imagine the nun Chuck for the Wii, but without an
analog stick. And so there's a D pad. There's a
recessed button in the circle here that's actually kind of
hard to hit, and there's three buttons kind of orbiting it,
sort of like the beans on the GameCube controller. And
then here are the labels for the buttons below that,

(24:32):
L B R plus home and mind. Oh that's because
it's gonna if if you want to use it on
a it's a media plus to the CDI. Yeah, all right, yeah,
you can put your your CD videos, your video CDs.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
R exactly well, not DVDs, video CDs.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
An incredible, an incredible machine. Sigmon again says round of
A plus l grug. If you only said you were sorry,
we could all tell you were wearing the backwards at
where when key Makers comes out?

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Question, Oh yeah, that's that's a good outfit for King Makers. Yeah,
we'll see if we if you mess this up again,
we could punish him again. Put him back in it.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
Uh, Tivin says as Clevelander's thoughts on future NFL stadium.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
It's all we talk about around here.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Actually, it comes up constantly. It comes up all the time.
So for people who don't know, the Browns want to
build a new stadium away from downtown, closer to where
the airport is, and like it seemed like it was
going to go ahead, and at the last moment the
airport was like, no, this isn't up the code or
it's too high or something, but we'll now we're not sure.

(25:36):
I'm kind of the opinion like, yeah, that's that statement
that you built in like two thousand is completely fine.
I think this is kind of a waste. I get
it that there's no dome on that stadium. Well you
should have put a dome then, and now you gotta
live with that, I guess, so don't I don't. I
don't like the idea of taking things away from downtown.
I think it's bad for downtown. I think it's important

(25:56):
to have downtown have stuff and have events.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
There and all that.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
So I don't know, Like what the show looks nice,
I suppose, but.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
I don't sure of it.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Yeah, and it was clearly just they picked when they
had the SimCity option to select the stadium for their city,
and they're like, well, we could save you know, five
hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
We don't have a dome.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Let's just do that now, and they are regretting it
twenty five years later. A twenty five year old stadium
should not be being replaced already.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
That is crazy, right, And we were there for Summer
Slam last year.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
It was awesome.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah, yeah, I get it doesn't have a dome, so
you can't have concerts when it's cold.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Okay, Yeah, you fucked up. We'll figure out some other shit.
I don't know. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Uh. Then Kitty Katman nine three says, finally canceled a
few services I haven't even used in months, and I
get to feel print support about it. Tock of the
mouse support, independent media. Penis penis, penis, penis penis. There's
lots of penises.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
There's a lot of penises. Yeah, I canceled too.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
It was like a big part of his I had
already been considering canceling, and this was the push I needed.
I'll say it was easier to do than I thought
it would be, so so that's something. Uh, It's just,
you know, it's a bummer out there right now. It's
just a bummer all around. And seeing that on there
still was kind of another reason to be bummed down.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
Yeah, I canceled mine last night for Disney Plus as well. Yeah,
it's it's very frustrating and annoying, and I don't know,
I don't know if I have much hope that things
get rectified there. But it's a yeah, it's freaking, uh
freaking annoying as hell.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Yes it is. Yeah, we shouldn't have to deal with
this ship. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
So I'm kind of navigating personally because you know, I've
associated with Disney in a lot, so I like, I
get a little bit that's like, people like, what's Mike
gonna say or do about it?

Speaker 1 (27:38):
And I'm like, I mean, I mean if he's like yeah,
I get people's impulse there, but if they think about
it for a couple more.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Seconds, which I bet a lot of people do, which
is why most people.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Don't bother you about it. It's like, oh, yeah, what
would he say or do to change anything here? Yeah,
you guys, say another person, Yeah you should if you yeah,
if you want, you should also cancel your Disney Plus
or boycott any other further Disney products or whatever.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
You with these companies go to town.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Yeah, yeah, the Walt Disney Corporation was never my friend'll
be confused about that, all right. Next up here is
uh Cadilla ca ca is Cadillact Donuts, Cadillac Donuts, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Yeah, there's a lowercase and upper case. It threw me off.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Bloodborne, Demon Soul's remake, and Gradus seventh still on on
on PC. Please speculate why has the PC porting kind
of slowed down a little bit? It feels like recently
am I imagining that?

Speaker 2 (28:38):
God?

Speaker 3 (28:39):
I mean, it just hasn't been too many games for
them to port.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Yeah, I mean that's definitely tells like part of it.
Nick Sees or Nixus is the company, right, Uh, Mixus Games, Bloodborne.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
We know it's because they kind of just can't move
on that less From Software is involved and they're busy
or something.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
And From and From seems like like they don't want
to do it.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
With Sony, They're kind of like, I don't know, I
don't know anything beyond anything beyond the From software would
have to be evolved and they're.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Not going to do it right now.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
I don't know, but that's my understanding of the situation.
It continues to be that way. Checked on it relatively
recently and kind of continue to hear. Nothing is happening
with Bloodborne, so you don't expect that these other ones though, Yeah,
Grant was No. Seven should be on there at some
point soon, right, and de.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Minsul's remake, I don't know why not. Yeah, just was
seven is really good.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
I liked it.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
Actually, I know it's micro transactions around whack. I just
didn't buy any of those, right, I enjoyed that game.
I imagine a PC report will give it a boost,
but especially for a series that isn't what it once was.
Like there was a time where Grant Torisma was the
best selling franchise on the PS one and PS two,
or at least close to that, and now I think
a lot of people forget there was a PS five.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Grand Torismo, So, uh, what the hell? Why not? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (29:50):
You know what we probably hear about a new Nix's
port at the state of play now they'll be.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Uh, yeah, yeah, what would what I'm trying to think, like,
if it's gonna be one of these are something more.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
I think it probably would be Demon Souls, right, got
that one? Hopes? So yeah? I hope so sweet.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
I'm trying to think sometimes some of them would be
Forbidden West been given a PC port, Yeah, because I
might just I.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
Think so, yeah, yeah, I'm looking at it. Horizon Forbidden
West Complete Edition. That was a Nexus project. They've also
done Ghost of Sushima Director's Cut, Ratchet and Cling Grift
Apart and Miles Morales and Spider Man Remastered. They don't
lift Spider Man two here. I wonder if that was
just like I think that maybe the team and Insomniac
just did the PC port themselves because they knew it.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Was happening this time. I don't know that that's on PC, right,
I think that's all.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Yeah, it's but that's kind of the weird thing is
like we've done newer ones like uh, Forbid and West
and Spider Man two, and you know, Demon Souls was
a launch game, so why.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Haven't we ever done that one? Do you think they
do Estrobot? I bet they eventually do astro Butt. Maybe
that's the one they announced. Yeah, it's so PS.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Five ey though, Like I can't imagine playing that game
without the controller, so I don't make.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
I mean, you can use it. You can use a
duel sense on PC, right, can, but you also cannot. Yeah,
that's a good point.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
We also cannot on pay station fight you can use
other good Droy, So I don't know.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Maybe, yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
I want them to keep this up, though, because they've
been doing a good job mostly all right.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Next one here is from James Bidwell geonw they get
cut off. Let's just say, James, h Hey, Mike, how
about our Guardian sweeping Detroit today? Playoffs Division titles? Still
a live baby? You should be worried. Grub you say anything,
Jeff remember last year? Yeah, yeah, you had your moment.
Uh yeah, gosh. The Guardians have been so freaking streaky

(31:34):
this year. Yep, and all of a sudden they're they're
picking the right time to be hot. We might actually
still have a shot at the wild card, like you
can lose a Class A did not seem to matter much.
So yeah, it's exciting stuff. I definitely hope they get
to the playoffs. We went to that playoff game last
year when they did play Detroit. It was so much fun.
It's one of my favorite, one of my favorite days

(31:55):
from last year. So yep, yep, let's go Guards.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Uh, I get it for them.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Tigers are they are also streaky and they have picked
the right time to be shit like this is.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
They have their way worse slump in the like in
the dead of summer, but this is another slump right now.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
This is bad stuff.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
So it's something I was worried about this all year.
They were the best team the second half of last year.
They were the best team for the first half of
this year, and it's like, well, you know, that's great,
but you didn't win last year and now we have
to like do this this whole season this time.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Can you sustain that? And they're a young team and
here we are, they're not doing it.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Next up is from Alan Miracle. Can I get a
transfucking rights with my Colorado night after work?

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Sure? Trans fucking rights? Yeah, give me those trans fucking
rights every day.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Also, Mega Man's Sonic and SpongeBob are in the same game.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Lm AO.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
What's funny is that Mega Manton, Sonic and Pacman are
going to be in the same game again. So you're
already all in Smash Brothers and it's right, Yeah, they're
leaving Mario out this time.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
They're cucking Mario. It is. It's interesting.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
He just how well received, Uh this is. I do
think there is a little bit of a people bristling
against Mario Kart World, and this is kind of like
coming in at the right time, and why not. Yeah,
take it into for Amo for you. I mean, you're
not gonna sell You're still not gonna sell as well
as Mario Kart question, but you're gonna get it. This
will probably be the best selling Sonic racing game ever.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
I bet yeah. And you know, I hope Nintendo notices
something and maybe there's a little bit of a response.
I don't think they need to, like chang change a
lot about it much.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
You need to make a normal grand pre mode as
all people want to like normal like online races. That's
just very clearly the three track system. I get that's
a free update. Yes, yes, oh that would be some
Nintendo though if they charged us for it. I made
it part of the DLC.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Yeah, for real. They could see the They could see that.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Uh l.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Grog says, So how was blike Club?

Speaker 3 (33:48):
I missed it yesterday?

Speaker 2 (33:51):
No, you did it.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
It was a real pleasant time. It was just we
had a good time hanging out with one another.

Speaker 3 (33:58):
I went back and watched a part and where when
I asked if I was supposed to do the hat,
and you said, yes, they are, like we never told
him do the happens?

Speaker 2 (34:05):
That's the as we did so extra cruelty. I noticed
the extra cruelty that I remember that fair. I mean,
I knew what I was stepping in. I knew you
would figure it out, all right, pair, yep, I get it.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
We deserve it the first andres Andre says mug Master
Mitch and Squire grub as a Miami Dolphies fan, why
doesn't God blow up the Sun?

Speaker 2 (34:27):
President nothing to him?

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Thank you for all your here's my question because it
seems like myself included everybody's football team is bad. To
make the upset, which teams are doing good? Somebody must
be winning.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
It's two teams, basically it is. It is just the
Baltimore Ravens than my or Miami Dolphins. Who they're playing
Buffalo Bills. I know the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Look real good. Oh the Green Bay Packers. Fucking hell,
it's bad. It's real bad out there in the NFL
this season.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
I know that.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Steelers did good their first game with Rogers. Did their
second game go well?

Speaker 2 (34:59):
No, it did not. They did not.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
I tell you what, I'll take that that would I mean,
they're still gonna probably make the playoffs because they do
every year, the Steelers. Uh and then Aaron Rodgers in
the playoffs is gonna be super fucking annoying.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
But maybe I'll probably get hurt before then. Who cares.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
The Rachie says, what stupid virtual blay game? Are you
gonna play? First on the stupid Virtual Boy app using
the stupid Virtual Boy thing, gonna play stupid Jack Brothers.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
I'm probably gonna play stupid teleroboxer. I mean, I'll play
whatever they because it's people need to remember. I often
forget they're not putting all these games out for Virtual
Bloy at.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
The same time. They are still releasing them a little
bit like one or two at a time. It is
the one where they should just put them all out.
If you're spending one hundred dollars on the fucking bitch.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Yeah, I don't want to pay one hundred bucks a
cup back, and I have three games to choose for
the Virtual Boy.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
It's crazy. Why isn't itton to like this?

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Uh? Now it'll be it'll be Mario Tennis for me.
That'll be like when I want to get into get
the Virtual Boy flavor yeah, but then I'll.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Probably play that online. I didn't think about that. It
did have two player I think link link cable support
for Virtual Boy.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Yeah, so that for sure. And then uh, definitely want
to do Mark. I have a saucepa from Mario Clash
or Crash one of those. But then the two I
like want to play through or warrior Land, which is
great and Jack brothers with Yeah, I've never played and
it just seems like a really neat curiosity.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Yeah. I played quite a bit of that warrior Land game.
It's very good.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
It's fun stuff. Okay, next up is Dubious Food. Please
rate the following avatars of Rage, Midnight, Midnight Minati, Refrigerator, Backlar, Roadblocks, Finelle,
and Funky Grub. But no, he got pretty mad about Roadblocks.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
Yeah. I think he might be number one. Yeah, number one. Yeah,
he's done it multiple times, so that rage that well
runs deep.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
It's justifier. She's like them, must justifyle Race get in.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Right, right, he's righteous in his he Yes, I mean
I think I probably would go with Midnight Minati too.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
That was that was something else, all locked and loaded
and ready to go, literally before the show.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
It's like guys. I'm not going to talk about this
on the show because I don't want to like it,
but like, I can't stand all these Metroid Prime trailer comments,
and then I was so worked, I'm like, screw it.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
And that there was a little worried about He's kind
of brating. He's like, Mike, you gotta think, don't look
at these things. And you're like, you're right, You're right,
You're right. And then they just let it go out.
It's good stuff. Uh and then all right, uh yeah,
probably a refrigerator back of our Funky Grab doesn't feel
any rage.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Fun Grab his terrorists just because he loves it.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
Wax Fundy says, got too much money at the tent
of museum and anyone hiring a writer. Also kiwamee three,
Let's go also pee did they announce uh y? Is
that Kawami three or is that a rumor?

Speaker 2 (38:00):
That's a rumor? There is the rgg I forget Spotlight
or showcase the direct happening right before Tokyo Game Show,
so before the end of the month.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
It's three one that people like a lot in that series.
I never I know people like No.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Three is the one they don't like. Yes, is that
is that what you said?

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Okay, yeah, that one's the lowest tier one that they have,
but they also say it's still pretty good.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
That's that's the lowestion. It's lowest tier the main mainline ones.
For sure.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
They can Kiwami make it better. Then it makes sense.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
Not not your best work, no, but I still like
hearing it. You did delivering it. Yeah, real quick, I
you know, I know, Lex says anyone hiring a writer.
I think Valnett had more layoffs, just kind of secretly
in the last week.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
It sucks out there. It's real bad. Yeah, fun stuff.
Uh okay, next up is from also. I hope you're
having fun in Japan. Yeah, for real drum kids, says Grub.
Put this towards a copy of Skys of Arcadia. I
have copies of Sky's Arcadia.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
You can't have mine. They're expensive. I have the magic
copy over there on the game Cube.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
It's been so busy I've not been able to like
figure out moving the save from over there. I think
I need to like update my my Flippy drive to
get all the bonus stuff on there, because right now
I just have the games and I don't see an
interface to do all the like the save swapping and
management stuff, So I'll do that when I get a moment.
I am gonna maybe use that Friday slot though going
forward where I was playing Sky's Arcadia to probably catch

(39:29):
up on some games or game of the year. I'm like,
what if I just played like an hour of a
game a week so would probably help a little bit.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
You can probably just stream the rest of cleric'scre at
this if you want or two.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
Yeah, I was wondering if people would want that or not.
I'm not sure, but that's a good idea, I think.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
Pretty late now that I think there's a lot of
people who beat the game who would like to watch
you do you know Atrogmrie whatever.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
That's something I'll probably think about that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Are you, by the way, speaking of like buying old games,
are you going to go to the Cleveland Game Classic
B Saturday morning?

Speaker 2 (39:57):
I was just talking to Steph about that. She keeps
thinking that she forgot something that we're gonna do this weekend.
She can't remember. I think she's like confusing with something
I said I was gonna do, which is this? But
when I get done here, I'll find out. I want
to Saturday morning. I probably should be able to make
work no matter what. I have some money. Let's go
spend some money. I know it's get Yeah, yeah, I
don't go away poor financial decisions.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yeah, that'll help us feel better. Yeah for a minute,
uh postman dances. Trying to calculate generations is basically calculus.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
It's yeah, well what I was doing earlier.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
I can imagine like the short of me trying to
do the calculation of what seventh gen was and the
math equations spinning around my head sort of thing.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Yeah, it's it's stupid.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
Next up is from a g Era God, it's up.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
Boys.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
What's a good action platform or game to warm up
before I play Soak Song? I was thinking, Shuobi, any
platform is good, Phoenix? Should it be as good? Should
it be something more in the action front? Honestly, I
think that Rogue Prints of Persia's pretty good. It's it's
you know, it is a roguelikes of like the Dead
Cells think that, but with more platforming, and I like

(41:05):
having the platforming in there. Plus you know it's a roguelike,
so you can, you know, do runs. It is sort
of a good warm up exercise. I think for one
of these kinds of games. So, yeah, I like Roge
puts pressure. I recommend it.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
Yeah, I think it's would probably help to sharpen up
your platforming skills, specifically for the games so Celeste or
Super Meat Boy.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
There's a lot of similarities and sort of like those
games are actually way harder for for moving around a characters.
So if you can like play a couple of levels
there against into some of the hard stuff, you'll be
more than ready for Silk Song.

Speaker 6 (41:39):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
Okay, Next up is from Molossy and what's the difference
between Sony versus ten Scent and nes versus Power and
Attendo versus Power World.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
What is a Sony versus Tencent thing? Again?

Speaker 1 (41:51):
That is the okay, so it's Horizon zero Dawn being
ripped off by that light of Motorum game from oh
that right, right right looks exactly the same. And then
Nintendo versus Power World is Pokemon is Pokemon versus Power World.
I don't know, I don't see much of difference. I
think it's pretty similar. I think they're both both the

(42:12):
art styles being super ripped off. Now, you know, I
think that we've played Power World, that might be the difference.
And people can point out a million differences between Power
World and Pokemon because we played a lot of it.
I bet something similar will happen once you start playing
Light of Motorum. But then people are going to go,
oh wait. They also ripped off Monster Hunter because people
were noticing that when we were showing the video today

(42:33):
during game as Mornings that all of the animations for
one of the boss look at they are completely wholesale
repped for Monster Hunter. Jan was saying the hammer weapon
that the character was using a lighter motorm.

Speaker 2 (42:44):
One to one, what's that one? Yeah, okay, so honestly
could get worse for Light of Motorm. That's fun do it?

Speaker 4 (42:55):
To be fair, there are other Monster Hunting game that
have like very similar.

Speaker 2 (43:00):
Yeah, no that they're they're not really going to get
in trouble for that. That A ton of games do that.
It's at this point that's almost expected. It's a little
it's like annoying.

Speaker 1 (43:08):
I find it to be a little cringe and kind
of I wish to about developers wouldn't do exactly that,
But at the same time, I'm not gonna I wouldn't
want them to go get in trouble.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
A lot of trouble for kind of being like, I
like this animation. We'll just use it in our game
where we also swing a hammer.

Speaker 6 (43:23):
All right.

Speaker 3 (43:23):
Next up is from Postman Dan up here goes YouTube crash.
I don't have Yeah, it was like it was that
in real slow I could feel what was coming, Like,
just let me read this one.

Speaker 4 (43:34):
Shut up here we go. Shout out to I that
said chat said that game. He is wild.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
Alright.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
Postman dances Hornet literally runs like Alucard instant in Game
of the Year. Uh yeah, yeah, there's a good flow
to it. Yep, there's a there's like an optional back
dash you can find that's really fun. By the way,
if you like that aldu Card back dashing, which I'm
a big fan of. Oh yeah, it's all sorts of
fun stuff. Last geek says if they made a two

(44:04):
and a half Been reboot with you two as the
dad's it would be my favorite show.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
What do we need a son to be shitty to?

Speaker 6 (44:09):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Seana Christian? Yeah, I mean, well maybe we gonna have
It'd be two. It could be two and three men.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
There are two plus one men and it's like they're
actually both half of a man and they could both
be our sons.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
It's the sequel you.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
I like sitcoms. I'd never once felt compelled to watch
Two and a half Men.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
I only felt compelled in my sick o ways to
watch it when Charlie Sheen left the show and replaced
by what's this fuckinghton Kutcher?

Speaker 2 (44:35):
And I was like, well I gotta see.

Speaker 6 (44:37):
This and it was bad.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
Uh So now, Alex says, my wife keeps asked me
for a release date for Powerwashed Similar too?

Speaker 2 (44:45):
Please? Can you find out things are? Is this year? Right?
So we may wasn't that just in something? Wasn't it
just in like a Was it in the direct?

Speaker 3 (44:56):
But I think it was in the direct? Was it
just power was Similar? Or was it Powerwashing?

Speaker 2 (45:00):
That was power That was Powerwatch Simulator too? I remember
that game. Was very excited. Mmm, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
Just tell her, Just tell her it's my birthday the summer, right,
that's what's coming out there?

Speaker 1 (45:09):
You go, and if it comes out earlier, well that's
a great surprise. And it comes out afterward, well you
got to celebrate Mike's birthday.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
Yeah, exactly. Uh Echo Coolest says Given Soaks on success.
What do you think potential future Metroid and Castlevania games
can learn from it to reach this broader audience.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
I think, go ahead, please you start.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
I think for Castlevania it might be good. I think
by Dredd did pretty good using like the three D
malls when I was a good looking game. I think
with Castlevania, it's maybe a reminder for them that they
should maybe just use really pretty too d art for
that very excited if you made a game that looked
like that art style from the Symphony and night Box
AAR and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
I think that might be good.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
You know, it's a bunch of other like Bloodborne even
kind of an ugly game, you know, and I just
I don't want that for the new Castlevanian. I don't
think there's blood blood Stained, food Band got that time.

Speaker 5 (46:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
I don't know. There's too much they can do though, Jeff,
what about you? Yeah? Yeah, I think that last look right?

Speaker 1 (46:09):
Yeah, Like, don't go into making these games expecting you
can actually learn something from Silksong that will matter. You're
not gonna be silk Song. But I think maybe the
lesson here is these games are already people. I think
people already consider them punishing. What remember what Northern Lions said,
you have to go backward? Ah, that's the worst thing
in the world. They already feel that way, So why

(46:32):
not lean into that and make your game difficult? Why
not lean into it and be like, you know what,
We're gonna be the game that you you're gonna feel
proud to finish. And I think that there's something like
so many people already say, like the from so the
from soft games, the Soulisborn games are the modern Castlevania's
like bring that ship back into Castlevania, the metro Veanu
style like go for like make it feel more that way.

(46:52):
It does clearly what was what was happening here in Silksong.
It's a huge part of it at least, So I
don't know. Does that make much of a difference?

Speaker 4 (46:59):
Prop?

Speaker 2 (47:00):
Probably not, But I would love it, dreamy men, it says, y'all.

Speaker 3 (47:03):
I think I might start doing retro game collecting. I
got a PS one copy of Metal Gear Solid thanks
to a friendly member of Dan's discord Nice.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
Yeah, I do enjoy it. I love both like going
out and getting games. I love finding my old games
here and there. It's a fun hobby.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
I think I need like a new shelving unit a
top of this one.

Speaker 3 (47:24):
I somehow managed to almost feel this thing that you
can't see it right now, but I have all like
my GameCube, PS two Xbox games backed behind me, and
below that is my PS like one and some of
the Saturn stuff and the Dreamcast stuff. So yeah, it's uh,
it is fun. It is definitely my mid life crisis moves,

(47:45):
and it is something that sparks joy and me.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
I just like I like having them back there.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
I just even like look at my camera and seeing
them there, I'm like, Okay, good, still got those at least.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
Yeah they can't well they could come and take away,
but they probably won't go this. Yeah, please don't. I
think that you should probably do this. Now's the time.
It's not going to get easier, and it's not quite
as bad as it was during the pandemic. So if
you're going to start, now feels like a fair enough
time to go for it. And it'll be painful. Like

(48:18):
these guys are always talking about spending a lot of money,
but I don't know, they seem happy about it. And
if you are already feeling that joy, go for it.

Speaker 3 (48:26):
It's not Antonio Ross says, you all need a CD I, yes, yeah, absolutely, yeah,
I'll take a CDI I'll play some CDI shit.

Speaker 1 (48:37):
I would I would love that. Yeah, that'd be great.
If you only have one, definitely send it to Mikey.
I would like to see him just extreame it and stuff.
But yeah, that would be great.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
You know, we could like it could be like the
Sisterhood of the Pants, the CDI of the Traveling Pants.
That's something there. Yeah, okay, like.

Speaker 3 (48:56):
Traveling CD. I don't know, but like I'll play by
the I'll say to the next person I don't.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
Know, and there's just like one game there and the
person who gets has to play that game. Yeah, that's
so fair. There's something all right.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
Next up is from Oh Grug again, Dan barely watches
w b IF at all. Mike Kinsel's Disney Plus it's
wild that things have come to this. What if the
Jeffs stop watching hockey? Now, I'll take something from YouTube,
Jeff something for you guys.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
I I'll tell you what. I was pretty happy with
the Lions. I won't say specifically why. I'm not interested
in causing any problems.

Speaker 1 (49:36):
But I was probably I was happy. I did didn't
have to be mad at my football team in this
past week. And then we'll see, We'll see. I'm sure
the Detroit Red Wings will find some way to make
me mad and do something bad this season, and not
just by playing hockey bad, which they've done for many
of the past seasons.

Speaker 4 (49:49):
Don't get me started on the Yankees. For me, I
just turn it off.

Speaker 3 (49:55):
I tried to warn you about the Yankees. Christian Hi
is what it.

Speaker 5 (49:59):
Is so.

Speaker 4 (50:02):
Argentina wants some people, and I have to stay with
it until I die.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
Well whatever h J. D Camp says, Mike, is this
the year you go to Dollywood? Maybe?

Speaker 3 (50:12):
I mean is I is Dollywood hyper themed and like
have a lot of non roller coaster ride and stuff?

Speaker 1 (50:20):
I think I think I think I has some roller
coaster runs, but I think it's hyper I've heard nothing
but wonderful things about Dollywood. That is one where it's
like that is like a reasonable like because that's what
is that Tennessee?

Speaker 2 (50:31):
Where is it at? I can't remember exactly where it's at.

Speaker 3 (50:33):
Oh, it's in Dollywood, where you gotta state.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
I would love to go there and like film like
a video that we could put up on giant bomb
or something like that at Dollywood. That would be a
good Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Thank you Marino, Like that's a driveable distance,
Like I don't know, we can make a weekend out
of that.

Speaker 3 (50:51):
Well, they have a train apparently, so that's you know,
like a train will help at a freaking cedar point.
It's basically all I do is the train.

Speaker 1 (50:59):
I feel like, I think we have some friends that
have like been to Dollywood. They could like be our
shirt burst or something like. They probably excited to go back.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
I don't know, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
The first Andre says, what's the first thing you think
of when you think of Aceventura? Oh, I see him
coming out of a rhino. Also, what is your favorite
nineties comedy? I was about to tell the story of
how they used to do the ace Fatura show a
Disney MGM Studios. I'll reframe this week. I got the
rhino or him like bending over and spreading his butt
cheeks and making his butt talk. As that was not

(51:30):
a movie for kids, and yet they did the thing
that kids would find the funniest thing in the world
at that.

Speaker 2 (51:37):
Scene, right, they did like the joke that like basically
got into my brain for the rest of my life
in that moment because I saw it as a little boy. Yeah,
exactly right.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
For some reason, I think about him chewing gum, and
it's a bad joke because the joke is like there
they can't chew enough gum because they accidentally kissed the
man or something. Right, Yeah, I just think of like
Dan Marino, like you have any more of that gun,
and it's true. At one point says none of your
damn business. Then Dann Marino says, you're a weird guy.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
Ace. I think about the delivery of Damn Marino along.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
Dan Marino's surprisingly good in that movie. Yeah, it sucks
that that movie's got so many problems. It's like, yeah,
the transphobia and that sucks, but yeah that's real real
bummer god.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
The nineties and early two thousands and the rest of
the yeah, really bad. Yeah currently now as well.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
Yeah, even Bill and Ted like one of like favorite movies.
Of course, I had to be a had to drop
the f uh Gaisler and that one. I'm like, that's great.

Speaker 1 (52:33):
The children's movie Monster Squad that has that. Every every
comic book from the two thousands uses the R word constantly.
It's yeah, dropping it NonStop. It's just casual conversation.

Speaker 2 (52:46):
That one make a comeback.

Speaker 3 (52:47):
By the way, I thought we were done with that,
and I was kind of glad even like just going
out anymore. Like people like I guess everyone's like, thank
god we brought the R word back. I'm like, yeah, really,
you've missed it.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
Yeah, this you sound like you suck. I hate this.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
The next super chat about video games or something, it's
from Nico Bler. Oh great, it's this is the person
with the seventh Gen comment. It says, I like the
rest of the trailer, Mike, I just didn't like that
one shot of the desert hashtag Gen seven.

Speaker 2 (53:23):
Get a Mike, there's a kill with the desert. It's
a desert.

Speaker 3 (53:30):
Those were just inherently agree about how much better should
the desert look.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
That's sad. I I Mike's right. I'm sorry, I don't
get it, but they I do appreciated.

Speaker 3 (53:45):
Alex says about to pull the tricker and buying a
steam Deck, God, are a bad idea. Don't have a
gamy piec just Xbox and switch to It's.

Speaker 1 (53:54):
Like a kind of a funky time for switch or
for steam Deck. I mean the Steam Deck to look,
if you can get one of those refurbished ones that
are like reduced in price, maybe that's a good deal. Still,
the Windows Xbox Hybrid sort of hand els the aces
Roger ally, but like a bunch of other stuff are
gonna be able to use that software as well. That's

(54:16):
all just about to happen, and it sounds the early
word is pretty promising on what they've been able to
do with Windows. Apparently, like performance is way better, Like
it's using way less resources.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
Apparently they got it.

Speaker 1 (54:30):
Down to run at like ten watts while running the
games just about as best as well as they can
on that system.

Speaker 2 (54:36):
That's some really good sign that they really have worked
hard on that.

Speaker 1 (54:40):
And if that's the case, then maybe one of these
other ones might be a little bit better because out
of the box you can play all these games.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (54:48):
I love my Steam Deck still. I think it's super
It's a super well done piece of hardware. I don't
think you'll regret it actually if you get it right now,
but there's a chance you could.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
Connel Wood says, what type of buzz is sean for
a Silk Song fan art? I think prank masses because
Seawan's tall.

Speaker 2 (55:07):
Ye, he's gotten t tall and kind of like he's
got that little little lanky.

Speaker 3 (55:10):
Yeah, so like a lanky, he's got an edge to him,
you know, all right, Yeah yeah he bites off the
heads of his lovers.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
Yeah, yeah, we don't know that. Yeah, that's what I
would say.

Speaker 3 (55:20):
Dean Boying says, I love this Poor Financial Decisions podcast.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
We're we're spiraling a little bit. Just let us do it.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
I was ready to go in there and buying freaking
tron Bond, and then God saved me. He was like, no,
here's your copy that you forgot. You owed, you idiot.
I thought that was a game I just rented. I
must have like bought it from like the Hollywood video
when it went out of business and forgot.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
Yeah, just people don't understand he was going to get
tron Bond this weekend, Like he was gonna go out
there and buy it for the hundreds of dollars that
that game costs, and that he happened randomly to find
it in a bag because he was looking for a controller.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:01):
I was like, because we were doing the Dreamcast stream,
I was like, where's my Dreamcast controller and I was like,
watch this.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
Bag and it was like about cannon spiking. There. I
found a bunch of good shit in there. It was
a good bag.

Speaker 3 (56:12):
Turribo Seans of Chad says, I'd like to be a
butterfly or fluffy moth, but let's be real, I'm a mantis.
Sad face, don't be sad. Sean's are cool, but you
can be whatever kind of bug you want to be. Dude,
it's fine. Fuzzy moths are great. I'm with you on
that one, all right. Next up is from uh to

(56:33):
one Freeman just got a new PC. Cas is huge,
So I started fitting with figure slash models now spent
way too much money. What's your money, black hole hobby. Well,
it's the video game. It is the retro game. I
think I do like putting figures.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (56:49):
I have my kind of pewter rocket night figure that
came with That's collection People the Run in my case
and he looks real nice in there.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
I like him. He's like protecting my GPU. I think
it's a I think it's neat you got. You guys
are putting things inside your cases.

Speaker 1 (57:03):
I guess a little pewter things not gonna be too much,
but that the air flowing there is pretty important.

Speaker 2 (57:07):
You want to make sure it's good.

Speaker 3 (57:08):
But I thought, it's just like you want to put
something in there when we're putting the other I'm like,
what do you mean? Yeah, people put stuff in there now,
like I guess there's.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
A lot of room in there. Yeah, but little thing
is not going to cause any problems. That's You're fine.

Speaker 5 (57:22):
People put stuff and their computers. Come on, shut up,
chef Jeff.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
People put wife fu figures in their cases. Now, Yeah,
it's an epidemic.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
Okay, you didn't include any judgmental comment and there seawan
And I was worried that I was gonna have to
fight against you, but I'm glad.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Okay, it's an epidemic.

Speaker 4 (57:37):
Yeah, put a horse.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
What are you doing? I'm sending you a picture of my.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
You just yelled wif fu's and then you got your
phone out, so it's like, what is he the same
wife fus like I did in that thing?

Speaker 6 (57:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (57:51):
I realized that now. Yeah, yeah, I said it to you.
Where are my wife's? Just watch my wife? Who's dip?
I texted you the picture? Did you get it?

Speaker 3 (58:06):
I mean I did probably I just didn't pick up
my phone yet. I'm looking.

Speaker 2 (58:11):
I'm gonna. I did it on my phone. You can
see that's cute. I like that he's protecting your GPU,
just like you said.

Speaker 3 (58:18):
You're right, I'll skeet it everybody if you well should
I have to do it on my phone. Next one, though,
I read the next one, and then Jeff will talk
about it while I skeat this. Uh it's from The
Uncharted Wolf, it says Mike accidentally saying Bloodborne is ugly
was almost my funky kung moment, best best twenty PS
game ever made.

Speaker 2 (58:35):
No, that game is not ugly. It's not.

Speaker 3 (58:37):
I think Bloodstained is, and I like Bloodstained, but uh,
I don't like this.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (58:43):
Yeah, it's one of the epitomies of the we're just
using three D models, even though they look way worse
than the art used to get in one of these games.

Speaker 2 (58:51):
Right, Yeah, I agree, I I uh, I think Bloodborne
is a beautiful game. So does everyone.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
It's of course it's got gorgeous from software art. Any
more time I could continue to.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
Be I got it.

Speaker 3 (59:02):
I got next one from Kiddie Man ninety three. If
you guys go to Dollywood. You can swing by Cooter's garage.

Speaker 2 (59:09):
What I mean, I absolutely will. I guess is it
a cooter of vagina?

Speaker 1 (59:15):
I mean I think cooter can also be a man
you'll you'll, you'll coot. Well, I guess that's a coot, right. Uh,
A cooter sounds like a person's name. Doesn't necessarily sound
like a vagina to me, But I guess a cooter
can also be a vagina.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
Uh, Cooter's garage. I'm googling it.

Speaker 3 (59:29):
Man, I thought cooter was slang for vagina.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
Is it Couter's place?

Speaker 1 (59:33):
It is slang for vagina, it is, but it's I
just don't think it's exclusively slang for a vagina.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
It's also a garage, apparently, I see Cooter's place. Maybe
that's what it. Uh, yeah, I don't know. Is it
a is it a themed dukes of Hazzard restaurants? Dukes
of Hazards?

Speaker 3 (59:53):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (59:55):
Hazard thing?

Speaker 4 (59:56):
Union flags? It's a goodness sush?

Speaker 2 (59:58):
Probably it? Probably? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (59:59):
Yeah, I don't much about the dukes of hazard punky
eggs as I'd watch Mike run an exquisite course style
Planet Coaster two series to build Giant bomb Land.

Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
That'd be fun sometime cool much. I like Planet Coaster.

Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
I never really had much time to check out the sequel,
which you know wasn't like some big, huge we added
so much sequels largely Hey, we added water Parks, which.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Is neat, but I haven't dove into it.

Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
And then, uh, lastly, here we just got a super
chat from Kyle Burton who says you all don't stop
being awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
Awesome, So thank you, Kyle. I appreciate that very much.
Thanks too.

Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
That's different super chats for now. If you guys want
to send anymore, we will read them before the end
of the show.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
So thank you, do appreciate it. Thanks everyone. We're going
to take another break.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
We'll come back and then we're gonna just talk about
the games that have come out so far that we're
considering for our Game of the Year lists kind of
maybe yes, and then we'll talk about the games that
are yet to come out that could still make our list.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
I expected to be somewhat of a traffic jam. We'll
do that right after this.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
All right, let's get back into it. Our topic for
this week is our Game of the years is so far,
at least the contenders. I'm not going to ask you
to put anything in order, Mike, I'm not going to
ask you. If you have something, I'm not going to
stop you from sharing. But you don't have to overthink this.
Let's just talk about the games, because there's enough of
them that that'll take up this time. And then I
did make a list of games yet to come this

(01:01:26):
year that like at least could be something like I
want to play, and many of them will be potentially
also Game of the Year contenders. I we could start
with you, though, do you have like a couple you
want to throw out? There was like obvious ones to get.

Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
Out of the way. How are you feeling a question?

Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
Yeah, cause when Destraining two came out, you know, I've
seemed like everybody around me, especially I want to drop
bonm was like really hot on it. I was like, okay,
I'm going to try this one at some point what
we talked about it, but I kind of got the
impression that you and Jan sort of dropped off it.
I don't know if it was because you weren't enjoying
it or stuff got busy, but do you think that's
still something I absolutely need to try?

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
So I didn't really play much of it at all
because I can't remember what else was happening at the time.

Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
But there was another game that like I went to
go play. I think I can't remember.

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
I think I ended up playing Clear Obscure and it
was like I knew Dan was like kind of covering
death Straining, so I was.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
Like, I'll get to it here pretty soon. There are
people that seem to love death Stranding too. I know,
Brad over at a God, I'm thinking I just went
remap kind of funny in my head. Nex Lander, I
know all the other names filtered into my head first.
It was really annoying over at next Lander. He's been
playing a NonStop. He really likes it. I hear people

(01:02:38):
mostly talk about really enjoying the gameplay loop that he
really got it right here, and like even in chat
on try to Wolf is saying the story was disappointing.
I don't know, it seems like a really well made
video game. I don't know if it should be one
that you need to play for game of the Year.
But I also am not like advising against it either.

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Yeah, I should probably still at least try it, so
maybe I'll do that. Yeah, Like in terms of big ones,
you know, actually want to start with the first one
I played this year that I was like, this is
a game of yer contender, and that was Blueprints. It
seems like, yeah, maybe it seems like I game talked
about quite as much right now, but I still absolutely

(01:03:15):
adore that game.

Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
It has such a good play there.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
And once again has a higher Open critic than Silk Song,
just barely like they're the same number, but if you
go to Open Critic they rank it higher.

Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
I think that's right. Maybe it was Metacritic actually where
that's true. I can't remember where I was looking, but yeah,
it's it's like, yeah, that game still reviewed really well.

Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Blueprints will certainly be on my top ten, very very
likely will be in my top five. I like that
game a lot, but it's not the guaranteed number one
that it was when I was originally playing it. There
have been so many other fantastic games.

Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
Right absolutely, And gosh, I think I guess that's where
Clear of Scuit comes in, because that came out and
it was, you know, a game I was feeling pretty
good about.

Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
It was showing pretty well at that Xbox show.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
I think it was with like a neat turn based
RPG and it kind of came amount of surprise everybody
by just how good and interesting it is. You know,
I think like, independent of what awards it wiz and
almost it does feel like the game of the year
right in a lot of ways, and it probably will
be awarded as such by a lot of outlets, and
itcessarily is one I liked a ton and have thought

(01:04:21):
about a lot since then. So yeah, definitely going to
be very high on my list.

Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
Yeah, I think it's.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
You're You're right, the game of the year in terms
of if you need a game to define this year,
it's that. And then I do think it's the game
that in a handful of years we'd be looking back
and being like, oh, they were clearly inspired by Clear
Obscure Expedition thirty three, and that's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
I'm looking forward to that. That like we could do
with a lot more of games that are inspired by
something like this.

Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
Yeah, I think, like recently I'm like, Okay, how where
am I at with Donkey Kong Bonanza. I still think
that's in my top three that Like, I know, I
know a lot of people are like cooling off on it,
A lot of people are still very hot on it.
I think person it's like I just sort of turned
my brain off and let the game like it's the
game sort of just does like guides you naturally without

(01:05:08):
like forcing you in any direction, and then you start
punching and suddenly you're at the end of that game,
and it's I don't know, it was just such a
sublime experience. And for me, it's like a lot of
times I do come to games specifically to get that feeling,
and that game delivered it over and over again until
I got to the end.

Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
Yeah, certainly, certainly still in my top five, maybe top three.
I liked that game an absolute ton. I have some
minor gripes. I think the tuning of the bosses is
just was just bizarrely yep.

Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
I was frustrated by that or annoyed by that. I
should say, Yeah, the.

Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
Post Gameself was good. It wasn't as good as Mario
Otissey's post game. That's not much of a complaint, right,
but maybe that's where my expectations were for that.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
But boy, it was fun. There was some need surprise
in the game.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
I think just the core mechanics of all the digging
and all the stuff that you did with that and
the platforming and the climbing and the chunk jumping all
felt fantastic.

Speaker 1 (01:05:56):
It's kind of It's got a really good culmination too.
It's got a really good climax. Uh worth worth like
playing just for that in a.

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
Lot of ways. All Right, So we talked about these, Mike,
did you ever touch Kingdom Come and Deliverance too? No,
don't make me. I no, I'm not. I'm not gonna
thank you. I just like that is everybody. I don't wanna.

Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
That's like a like right after a lot of the
top contenders again on like would you look at these
lists of like metacritics sorted by ranking this year sort
of but rating it's right there. I think it's like
a ninety or an eighty nine or something like that.
It's really close to the nineties.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
I played a few hours of it and I did
not like it was not like the first one where
I'm like, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
I get it, but I'm not really actually enjoying it
all that much. It's kind of by the numbers.

Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
This one.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
There's a lot more going on. It's it does feel
like a living world. I know some I heard someone
was telling me an anecdote I can't remember who it
was about, how they played it as like a shopkeeper
or a potion maker the whole time. It might have
been dam m, i've been bunk. I can't remember someone
that played that game some way from Actually yeah, and
like I love hearing that. That sounds like a very
cool concept to me, of like you can just kind
of do what you want in this game, and it

(01:07:08):
has it can support that, and then it also has
a very strong story.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
But it's like I wasn't so enthralled with it that
I do feel the need to go back, and yet
I at the same time, it does feel like one
of those ones that will come up in other people's lists.
I just should try it. No, see, I don't understood
any like that. I'm sorry, all right, what else you got?
I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:07:29):
It's not really on my list, but it's fascinating that
it isn't, because I think when we did our what
most Anticipated Games for this Year list, this was my
number one.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Everyone was very excited for it.

Speaker 3 (01:07:38):
It came out and reviewed incredibly well, and now nobody wants.
Nobody wants to talk about it, especially for this It's
monster A hundred wild ye just eighty nine Yep, it's
open credit. It is.

Speaker 1 (01:07:51):
Uh, it's in that weird situation where it was like
it delivered a game that you could tell is well made,
and yet it is not the Monster Hunter game that
people want.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
And then in some certain ways it's kind of it's
really bad, especially.

Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
Performance, and it's like you know, in a lot of
other Monster Hunter games, if it was broken in certain ways,
we're disappointed. In some ways, people would still be like
losing their mind for it or like throwing their entire
lives in it into it in the game. This game's
big problem is that no one seems to be doing
that really, or if they are, they're maybe going back
to some other Monster Hunter games instead while they're ignoring

(01:08:26):
this one. So yeah, I don't I don't know what
they do about Wilds, but this one doesn't seem to
have much of a chance to be in the conversation
for Game of the Year at all at this point.

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Yeah, and maybe another one going into so sorry.

Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
Was that unless they drop like some crazy content, right.

Speaker 1 (01:08:42):
Yeah, but I mean they're gonna have their big DLC
for that probably next year, right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:46):
I can't imagine there's anything but they could do this year,
just at an update.

Speaker 5 (01:08:50):
The They usually take more than a year to release
that update, but they probably after the reception of this one.
That's probably accelerating the whatever they're doing with that one.
For sure, it's my it's my number three still, like
I think it's one of the best game of the
year still for me.

Speaker 4 (01:09:05):
But yeah, I understand that the public reception of it.

Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
Oh you you're about to say another game, Mike, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
That's real quick and one going into or at some
point this year. We thot would be a bigger deal,
and I don't think it's going to get much given
to your stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Is Mario Kart World, But yeah, I don't hate that game,
but yeah, you know, no, Mario Kart really usually is
in game of your discussion Mario Kart.

Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
It was really good though. I think that one might
have been in there at that time. But yeah, well
that's still a rare thing for that series.

Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
Oh what's up.

Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
There's three games that I haven't finished. There's only one
that I think I really want to for Game of
the Year.

Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
Okay, what's that?

Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
Two of them I thought I would get to and
now I'm like, yeah, maybe I saw playing them for
a reason.

Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
Yeah, three or three of those on the list, So
I was kind of seeing what I was going to
ask you how you felt about these?

Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
Go ahead, yeah, June, the Dark Ages Avowed, it's split fiction,
and all those three you didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
You didn't finish split fiction.

Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
I thought, you know, because you know I play with
Aging and it's probably know he's busy with kids. I
need to get him over here and play through the
rest of it. Because I was, we were having a
very good time with it, but gosh, like a Vowed
and Doom Dark Ages, I was enjoying it. Kind of
what both, even more so with Doom with a Vow
maybe I could say muscle going back. Something fun with

(01:10:18):
Doom especially, I don't know what it was. It's something
wrong with It's a good game, but I'm just a
little bit over it.

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
I had to admit, Yeah, I for me, I haven't
tried Doom.

Speaker 1 (01:10:28):
But I did play the whole first area of A
Vowed and then I got to that second area and
I was just like, ah, I'm good, I'm good.

Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
I'm good.

Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Like it wasn't like anything negative about the game. It's
like it delivered experience. I was very happy with. I
thought the story was good, but it wasn't so I'm
not so compelled by that's that wasn't the reason I
was playing. I was playing because it felt awesome to
play the game and it was fun to explore, and
I had a bunch of those moments, and then it's
like I don't need to like start over from scratching
a new area and sort of rediscover it. I'm good

(01:10:59):
and you know, do just that. It doesn't make my
top ten probably, but I could see this at like
a number nine or number ten on my list, avowed.
I don't know if I'm gonnat around the doom though.
It just seems like that game came and went so
hard that I'm not gonna surprise.

Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
Yeah, it a little surprising.

Speaker 1 (01:11:15):
That feels like a known quantity situation where it's like
this game, despite doing a lot of things differently, still
is very much one of those doom games.

Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
And I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:11:23):
I mean, I think about it like I was I
remember watching you play we did the quick look, or no,
that was Dan.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
It was Dan that did the quick look. I was
watching him play and I was like, you know what this.

Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
You know, him going through here and changing colors to
sort of dodge into these certain projectiles and having that
huge Perry window.

Speaker 2 (01:11:39):
It looks fun, but I don't know. I'm just not
again feeling overwhelmed subverge to play it.

Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
We talked about us before with God of War Ragnert Rock,
where it's like, well, it used to be you can
kind of get a trilogy out of something, you know, right,
that's what it is. You do too, and you get
out of there and you think about something else, and
maybe they should maybe they should have pivoted the quake already. Know,
if they wanted to do the medieval thing, they should
have done Hexan or just something that, you know, they
did some stuff different here, like the pit, the shield

(01:12:07):
and whatnot, but maybe it needed a bigger differentiator and
not just kind of medieval stuff, more cut scenes, kind
of taking itself more seriously with the confusing direction. I
think for doom this right right now, it reviewed well
eighty six on Open Critic, But yeah, I don't think
it's going to get much. I don't think it's going
to be like nominated for Game of the Year or

(01:12:27):
anything like that.

Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
Let's talk about you want to get back to.

Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
Yeah, split fiction is one where I'm like, I keep
thinking like I need to do a co op show,
and I know we're going to play a bunch of
co op games together, Like Residuvil six is one you
wanted to play, and I really want to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:12:41):
It's like you need to do one of those and
eventually just get the split fiction. Hollow Night, Silk Song,
let's talk about that real quick, just you know, I like,
very fast, we've been talking about a lot that is
a contender for my number one. Is it like a lock?

Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
I'm still also.

Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
Very much enjoying Expedition thirty three, which I pro miss.
Everybody I will get back to that has a chance
to be up there, Blueprints has a chance to be
up there still. Even Bonanza, I think is like in
that talk For me, I don't have a clear front
runner personally, but I think if I like, you know,
because they I recognize.

Speaker 2 (01:13:13):
The recency bias there, we'll help with this.

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
But if I sit down right now and go to
my gut, it probably a Silk Song that's a it's
a mesmerizing, magical game.

Speaker 2 (01:13:22):
Yeah. Oh, I'm absolutely loving it. You know I've been.
I've stayed up till five am multiple nights.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
This week because I just kind of can't stop playing
it so much fun, kind of towards the end where
I am just like getting like, okay, well now there's
like this optional boss I can do and that was
really hard, but that was really satisfying, and like, I
only have so many more of these things to collect,
I may as well get the rest of them. And
I got an upgrade, and yeah, I absolutely love it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
It's just such a.

Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
Good one of these. I love the challenge of it,
I love the atmosphere of it, I love the characters.
There's not much about it, if anything, that I would change,
just absolutely loving. Silk Song definitely a top contender for
me as well.

Speaker 1 (01:14:03):
It's one of those games that like I don't even
really have criticisms of, but it makes me like think
more about what I do like about games, and it's well,
that's that's fun. I could just tell this game knows
exactly what it needed to be and delivered on that
one and I wouldn't change anything about it.

Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
It's good stuff. But people often see people like got
quick lays in this game. No, No, it's really good.
It's so good.

Speaker 3 (01:14:28):
Yeah, it's like you know, like I get like some
people have issues and maybe it's difficult from them or
two unforgiving on one ways.

Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
But I can't.

Speaker 1 (01:14:35):
I can't pretend to like the game less on your behalf,
you know, I like it. I like it like this right,
we kind of just come on the show and say
we really feel you. And if it's a little annoying
sometimes if you're not feeling the same way, I.

Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
Get it all right.

Speaker 1 (01:14:47):
And then one I want to get out of the
way dispelow day. That will likely be on my top ten.
Just a transportive experience to be in the shoes of
someone else in another country and yet and like to
a connection to a sport that I have some I
followed a little bit, but like it's a it's an Ecuador,
a place I've never been, a language I don't speak,

(01:15:07):
a way of living I have not experienced. And yet,
despite all of these things that are alien to me,
one of the most familiar experiences I've ever had the
chance of playing in a video game of just being
a child existing around parents, like having conversations and the
world having a conversation about this one event that's happening,
and then how that ties in politically to other events

(01:15:30):
that are happening.

Speaker 2 (01:15:31):
It is special. It is so so so good. Not
that long.

Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
People should still check this game out. I hope it
doesn't get completely lost for Game of the Year for
a lot of people. But then there's a kind of
a pile of games, Mike that we could probably go
through here pretty quickly.

Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
Shouldn't you have some you start go ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
I was gonna say, shanobias, I should just let you
go at it. I was like, you're gonna forget about Shanobi.
Then you immediately said.

Speaker 1 (01:15:54):
The word Shanoby Art a Vengeance, pip Ostrello and the
Cursed yo Yo, Ninja, Guid and Rage Bound, Tony Owks,
pro Skater three plus four, Rogue, Prince of Persia, one
hundred line, Last Defense Academies. That what it is, I've
not touched that when I haven't touched some of these,
Sean brought up a hundred line many of those Shanoby

(01:16:15):
I do feel like I really do need to get
back to and really play. That's one that's like if
I did like an hour long show every Friday, I
can maybe play Shnoby before the end of the year
or something like that, and a couple other things. But
I don't know of those like what sticks out to
you other than let's start with Shanoby.

Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
I guess yeah, I mean I really like Schnoby.

Speaker 3 (01:16:32):
You plays through all bit there's a part of me
that's almost a little like surprised, like Dan Reiker like
Shnoby more than I do do. Yeah, yeah, I like
part of me is like, man, I wonder like I'm
getting I hear some of that. There's a part of
me that's almost a little bit I wish this was
actually a little bit more like Shanobi three, because there's
a lot of ways it's not much like that game

(01:16:52):
esthetically and through callbacks, but in terms of the game
itself not not really.

Speaker 1 (01:16:58):
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean where it's like
I think, I you know, because of you, you like
turned me onto Shanoby three in a big way, and
I was so I had something I had played in
the last handful of years, and I be like, oh,
that game rules.

Speaker 2 (01:17:08):
They could modernize this game easily with this next one.

Speaker 1 (01:17:11):
Now it's lizard Cube, right, lizard Cube went hard doing
the thing that they do, making an excellent combat action
game that looks astounding because of their animation. Just maybe
the best animation in the industry period, like including Next
Level over in Nintendo just across the board. An amazing
game to look at, and it's like, Okay, yeah, they

(01:17:32):
did their own thing and they knocked it out of
the park.

Speaker 2 (01:17:34):
But you're right.

Speaker 1 (01:17:35):
I think maybe that's the reason I didn't like immediately
connect with it, because I was expecting maybe.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
A little bit more Shnoby. That's fine though, that's not
really a complaint about this game A major complaint. No, look,
I like it a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:17:45):
It'll probably be my top ten. I don't think it's
gonna be my top five, is all I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
Yeah, you know, I have not played enough Shnoby. But
I think Sean might be saying I can't tell, but
I Ninja got in Ragebound. I might actually personally prefer
But it's like.

Speaker 3 (01:18:01):
Sean's saying it's better. He's talking about me complaining it's
not more like, ok I believe okay.

Speaker 1 (01:18:06):
Sure, yeah, oh it's Oh it's better than Shnobi three,
is what he's saying. I understand now. I I like
Rage Bound a whole bunch. That is one where it's like,
oh that just clicked with me. They they have enough
platforming challenges and weird stuff, and it just felt really
good and immediate. It doesn't look as good as Shanoby,
but I get people who prefer Shnoby.

Speaker 3 (01:18:24):
I kind of want to play more rage Bound, because
you know, that is kind of another thing Shoby is. Like, Yeah,
I really do like the platforming part of action platforming,
and Chenoby is definitely more of a focus on the action.
So I think one that had even a bit more
platforming might be might be my jam.

Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
Uh, did you play much Pipastrello A little bit? I
started and I did.

Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
I liked it.

Speaker 2 (01:18:43):
I wasn't.

Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
I don't know this because this game has incredibly good
reviews some people.

Speaker 2 (01:18:46):
Really ye, I was gonna go check the Metacritic against
I know it was like the one in that one
tier down from the very very very top of like
right there, I've.

Speaker 4 (01:18:53):
Been jumping on that game is before he came out.
Goddamntrello over here.

Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
Yeah, I think I played it on a Mega Man
and I liked it, but I don't know, I didn't
feel super compelled to get back to it. Like The
Drifter is something I started on a show, and that's
one I actually do want to finish. Before the end
of the year that point culick adventure game.

Speaker 2 (01:19:12):
But I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
I don't feel super bad about not finishing Pit Pastrello
got him.

Speaker 2 (01:19:17):
I come.

Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
I came back to check out Pipastrella, and there's like
other games here that we kind of probably didn't play,
but like we easily could, and like consider it like
sort of the Sea as an eighty eight that's like
number sixteen on Metacrik's the best games of the year
so far.

Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
Do you remember Do you remember sort of the Sea?

Speaker 3 (01:19:32):
I do, And that one was weird because it seems
like people were when it first came out. I was
about to play. I was actually about to play it
on a Mega Man. Then like they just fired People's like, oh,
is that weird to play right now? It's like, n't,
it's so might check it out.

Speaker 2 (01:19:45):
It seems like a game designed to review well, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:19:51):
And then Monster Trained two, which, now that you've hopped
on board one of those, maybe you can get down
with Monster Train two.

Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
Literally thinking of doing a Mega Man for that at
like on Monday, because yeah, I want to check out
Monster Ting two.

Speaker 2 (01:20:03):
NOx. Yeah, that reviewed very well. Can I can I
talk about my oar Zett of this year. Oh yeah, please,
I'm going to hear it.

Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
The game that I will be championing loudly that I
don't expect anyone else amongst our peers if we talk
about much. Is two point Museum right right? Absolutely that
that is still on your top ten likely right, Oh yeah,
it'll be on my top ten.

Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
I love that game.

Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
I thought that it was just so much fun, so engaging,
had a great sense of humor, of incredible loop, a
ton of variety. Just yeah, of one of these kind
of like sim management kind of games.

Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
Tremendous.

Speaker 1 (01:20:41):
My bullshit game, Jeff Grubbs bullshit game of the Year
is going to be Roadcraft.

Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
I want to spend more time with it. I wish
I had more time.

Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
I want to play some more of it with you, honest,
let's get back on there.

Speaker 2 (01:20:52):
I actually have.

Speaker 1 (01:20:52):
I don't think I've touched it since we did that
stream because things happen right afterwards. Maybe we should just
do a stream where we go rescue all those trucks
out of the water.

Speaker 3 (01:20:59):
Yeah, exactly, I think that'd be fun.

Speaker 2 (01:21:02):
That'd be a good time. You know what, we haven't
brought up yet. One next pro Skater three and four.

Speaker 1 (01:21:07):
Yes, so I did mention it in that list of
that that pile, but yeah, Tonks pro Skater three plus
four I think could still be on my top ten.

Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
Still could Yeah, Like with remakes like that, I'm always like,
I'm not gonna put it too high, but boy did
I have a good time playing through it, like play
through it on two different platforms because what then?

Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
Yes, exactly, That's what I'm like constantly still just picking
that game up and playing it when I need to
just kind of feel something, and it's still perfect for that.

Speaker 2 (01:21:31):
Uh And in some way, I like really like the
pro goals.

Speaker 1 (01:21:34):
Actually they're really tough, but I like them. Yeah, it's
good stuff. Brogue Prince of Persia. Any chance to play
more of that before we go to game of these conversation?

Speaker 3 (01:21:42):
Actually I really did. I was really enjoying it when
I was playing that again on Mega Man. So I
like to at least finish one run. I don't know
if it's one of these where I go back and like,
do you know, usually they haven't sent to story reasons
to do the run many times, but beating one run
would be good for me.

Speaker 1 (01:21:59):
And then last the last one. I want to ask
you about the one hundred line. Is there a chance
you try that? You know, it reviewed pretty well and
people seem to like it.

Speaker 3 (01:22:08):
Probably probably not. Honestly, I don't really see myself got him.
I And I know I've been defending sid Meyer Civilization seven.
I wonder how much I'm gonna defend it. What if
it's going to be in.

Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
My top ten?

Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:22:21):
I mean, it's it's a fine game. I don't have
many problems with it.

Speaker 1 (01:22:25):
It's just not, you know, as refined as the most
recent one that got super refined over time.

Speaker 2 (01:22:30):
And that's just the SIEVs story. All right. Oh you
have a list of game Oh actually big one.

Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
One more big one, I think, and maybe I would
like to play it some more. Actually try to complete
a run of.

Speaker 2 (01:22:39):
This is Peak? Oh yeah, Peak was.

Speaker 3 (01:22:44):
You know, sometimes with these games I'll play them and
I kind of go along with the content. I'm like, yeah,
I'm having fun. Obviously this isn't my thing, ha ha.
With Peak, I was just like, this is great, this
is fun, this is a good gameplay, objective and goal thing.
The team works stuff here is the the prox chat
stuff works incredibly with it. I love the stupid faces
and characters and animations. I think Peak is a bit

(01:23:04):
of a standout this year.

Speaker 2 (01:23:06):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:23:06):
I like that gave me an idea for some content
we should we should try to actually really beat that
game on content.

Speaker 2 (01:23:12):
That's the way to play it. It's uh the run.
Yeah maybe?

Speaker 1 (01:23:16):
Oh yeah, not, that's not a bad idea. Okay, And
we could use the multiplayer mod get some friends in
there too.

Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
So yeah, I really want to play more Peak, because
you're right. I was considering after my list, and then
it's like, oh, you know, it's a game I play
like when we're all playing, but don't. Maybe I should
play some on my own to just see how I
really feel about it. It's not the way you're meant
to play it, but you can.

Speaker 2 (01:23:38):
I want to check it out. That's a that's interesting, Mike. Oh,
Assassin's Creed Shadows did you put that on their Christian?

Speaker 5 (01:23:44):
I added that because I really have. I had a
lot of fun with that game. They really nailed the boat.
Like the two gameplays like modes with the Ninscha more
stealthy thing and the Samurai big guy shoes raking ship.

Speaker 4 (01:23:57):
I have a lot of fun. This is This game
is definite.

Speaker 5 (01:24:00):
They're going to be in my top ten because it's
like and it's like kind of kind of an endless
video game because you can just keep doing those those
castle and those.

Speaker 4 (01:24:09):
Those stuff on there. It's really fun. I really really,
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:24:13):
I don't know other people's going to look at it
because it's another Assassin's Creed is like, you know, but
it's I think it's the best Assassin Creed in the
last couple of years for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
I had a really good time with it.

Speaker 1 (01:24:23):
It was it was definitely one I had to kind
of say to myself, I get it and move on
from it. But it gave me the best feeling of like, oh,
I could just kind of.

Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
Lose myself in this game if I had endless time
to play it like I did when I played Brotherhood
or whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:24:36):
It felt very similar to that. So yeah, it lived
up to the Assassin's Creed legacy in a really good way,
all right.

Speaker 3 (01:24:42):
Like I kind of sorry, kind of a weird one
from me because it's a it's a compilation, so I
don't know if it will make my list. I had
a similar one last year, but I really liked that
Marvel Fighting Collection Volume.

Speaker 2 (01:24:53):
Two with Cat con Versusses S and K two, Street.

Speaker 3 (01:24:57):
Fighter three Upper or Alpha Upper, and they just like
I did, characters to that. Yeah, that was an incredibly
good collection. I played so much more of that than
the New Fatal Fury. Even I was like, oh, this
is my fighting game right now. Actually, I just want
to keep playing freaking cap Converce S and K two.

Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
So that was just a really good collection.

Speaker 1 (01:25:17):
That is a collection I actually have booted up randomly
a couple of times. It's just I just love looking
at those games.

Speaker 3 (01:25:22):
And yeah, freaking that Plasma Sword. It was just so
Project Justice.

Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
It was so fun.

Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
It was such a good question. Oh, Nubby's Number Factory.
Shout out to Nubby's Number Factory. Actually, that's I liked
that game.

Speaker 2 (01:25:34):
Yeah, that was fun. I could play some board Nubbies.
Actually I never I never really played I downloaded. I
didn't try it. I should legally, all right, we have
the list of games that are yet to come.

Speaker 1 (01:25:44):
Let me get the ones out of the way that
I kind of just put on here because I recognized
the name pac Man World. To repack Super Mario Galaxy
one and Plus two, you were just talking about a collection.

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
I guess is there a chance that that shows up
on your list? Or think they're doing enough here.

Speaker 3 (01:26:00):
It's just like, oh, obviously Mario gotxy two is won
of the best games ever, but just like a bare
bones package of that with one with some graphical updates
and new controls. That's not that's not the extent to
what they did to make Plasma Sword super playable on
a modern console, right.

Speaker 1 (01:26:16):
King Makers That game about going back in time with
a truck pickup truck and shooting down a bunch of
knights with a machine gun or whatever. That's a meme game,
But I don't know, there's a part of me that
thinks it could be really fun and maybe there's a
chance it ends up in my top ten. Let's see,
these are Vampire the Masquerade blood lines too. It's almost
just a miracle that that game is releasing. I want

(01:26:36):
to see it, but I just don't have high hopes
for it.

Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:26:39):
I almost kind of feel more like, ohuld go play
that original one? Yeah you don't mean, that's like not
really my vibe right necessarily, so, but yeah, we'll see
it'll be impressive at that delivers somehow I.

Speaker 2 (01:26:52):
Thought I would be able to dismiss many more than that.
Here's the problem. Let me just read them.

Speaker 1 (01:26:56):
Hades two, Silent Hill, f Final Fantasy Addicts, the Evilies Chronicles.

Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
I guess that's one that that is on the.

Speaker 1 (01:27:02):
Bubble Ghost of Yota, Battlefield six, Ninja Guide in four
Art Graders, the Outer Worlds to Mina, the Hollower, Metroid
Prime Before Beyond and Escape from Tarkoff one point at
which I didn't include, but find its way on this
list somehow.

Speaker 3 (01:27:16):
That God Kirby, everybody put my Legends the egg God.

Speaker 2 (01:27:19):
Wow, I didn't mean yeah, yeah, there's a lot yeah
to come this year. It's crazy. Hades two feels like
a real problem for my list right now, a real problem.

Speaker 3 (01:27:31):
Yeah, I mean, boy, because I'm going so hard on
Silk Song it almost is a little exhausting to be like,
I think basically right from this into Hades two, oh boy,
then kind of from that to Evilis Chronicles is what
I would want to do there. So yeah, like tough
choices are kind of happening where I'm like, no, I'm
not going to finish a vout or doom. If they

(01:27:52):
spoke to me more, I would have finished them on
my own. I guess, like you know, Keeno Coom delivered
to or even even desk Stranding. It's like, yeah, to
give those games a shot. I'm going to try to
find time, but boy, it's just getting wacky bananas up
in here.

Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:28:07):
You know, like Dying Light the Beast came out today
and I had code for that for a while. I
did even try you know, Okay, the review is kind
of dropped a little bit. It's turned down to like
a seventy eight on PC in seven and.

Speaker 3 (01:28:17):
Kind of I was hi rish at first, and I
was at first, I was like I don't want to
play this.

Speaker 4 (01:28:22):
Yeah to bad.

Speaker 1 (01:28:23):
Yeah it was like eighty it was like eighty two
or something, and I was like, oh okay, and the
like there's some of the reviews were saying, it's like
looking like they really focused on the fun parts instead
of some of the problems that were a problem in
the sequel. Like maybe I'll try that now I can
be like, okay, look, I'm just I'm just not going
to have time for that because that list of games
I just said was crazy, Like goes to Yote feels
like it could be a really good game.

Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
But I just I don't know. I don't know if
I'm going to play that, Mike. I don't know at
least try that one for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:28:51):
I mean, it's weird because I do have zero excitement
for it, and I liked as like, I don't know
why I'm not excited. And it's even pretty different from
games I play because I have not really delved into
one of these big map games in a moment. I
didn't play the Assassin's Career. I didn't even do the
Death Stranding. I haven't played a big triple A open

(01:29:11):
world game in quite a while. Honestly, even still, I'm
just kind of like, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:29:19):
Yep, it's I mean, you know, there's still the chance
those reviews come out and it clicks and clicks for me,
it's like, oh, never mind, I really want to play this,
But in this moment, it's just like when those ones
I am putting off to the side already, the ones
I won't be able to ignore. Haities two Men to
the Hollower Metroid Prime four Ninja guide him for maybe

(01:29:39):
probably at least that one, and then like for me,
it's like I've never I've never played a lot of
Silent Hill, but Silent Hill f it's getting good.

Speaker 2 (01:29:47):
Early reviews review forms. You also gave it a bunch
of nines too, so not just not just that guy.

Speaker 1 (01:29:57):
And then you know, so it's like that's already enough
to fill up the rest of my year and we're
not even talking about the games I still need to
catch up on. I do want to play more Death
Stranding too, let alone Expedition thirty three.

Speaker 3 (01:30:07):
So do you have a plan of attack for the
rest of this year? Yeah, well, you know it was
going to Hades two. I'm you know, playing some skate
right now, which I am enjoying. I doubt it's going
to be like on my top ten or something weird,
but I'm enjoying that Haities two big priority. There's a
part of it's even like, Okay, I know I'm excited
to play Fantasy Tactics eve The's Chronicles, but it's kind

(01:30:29):
of like a remaster, sort of remake. Do I need
to prioritize quote unquote more important things or just play
games I want to play, which is like I think
I should do. But you know, like, yeah, Ninja Kai
and four, I definitely want to check that out. Than
Nintendo stuff. Of course I'm going to check out air Riders.
It's part of me that's like, boy, legend Za better

(01:30:50):
have a real strong start.

Speaker 1 (01:30:53):
Yes, it better be like real sticky and be like,
oh I can't even stop playing this or else I'm
just not even gonna try it, right.

Speaker 2 (01:30:59):
Yeah, really, they're really better.

Speaker 3 (01:31:01):
Grab me on that one, like and mat Prime four is,
you know, definitely the one I'm most excited.

Speaker 2 (01:31:05):
For for Yeah, that's not negotiable.

Speaker 1 (01:31:07):
Yeah, like, well that'll be happening though, right as we're
getting ready to do Game of the Year, so that'll
have its own set of problems.

Speaker 2 (01:31:14):
Thanks all Yeah, all right, yeah those are the games.

Speaker 1 (01:31:18):
If you have anything that you want to shout out,
you can send in a super chat real quick, or
if we spot in the chat, we might all say it.

Speaker 5 (01:31:24):
At least, well, you should be excited about our creators,
you specifically, because I think you're gonna love that game.

Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
Christian.

Speaker 1 (01:31:32):
I do intend to play our graders. Yes, that one's
easy because it's like I can justify making everyone at
work play that, and it's like, well we can spend
some time with it and then if that clicks for me,
then I can keep playing it.

Speaker 5 (01:31:43):
And then maybe you get the Extraction Shooter and you
know bug and then Escape from Dark a couple of
weeks after that.

Speaker 4 (01:31:48):
It's gonna come out one point.

Speaker 5 (01:31:52):
I know, I'm I'm the only Attraction shooter free here.
But like Escape from Dark, Hitting one could be pretty big.
The game feels very very big now. I imagine now
reaching like a Steam and all those kind of stuff,
where like it's not just like a Russian web page.
You got to go and give them your credit cards.

Speaker 4 (01:32:10):
You know that. People feel good about that, So I
think it could be a big year.

Speaker 5 (01:32:15):
This it's a for timele of my move into They
already tea set that's gonna release, and they said it's
gonna release. But in my move, because you know how
those people are issues like yeah, it's just they.

Speaker 4 (01:32:24):
Ube with that. So well, it might be it might
be big.

Speaker 5 (01:32:28):
I don't know. Maybe maybe I'm just you know, maybe
it's my my excuse, my estate from Taraco.

Speaker 2 (01:32:34):
It might gonna be.

Speaker 1 (01:32:35):
You're not wrong about that, Like it is going to
be a big release, Like when it hits Steam for
the first time, that will be a big moment.

Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
We'll see you want to try these games, but I'll
try our graders first cars. It's coming out first. That'll
be easy. Okay, let's let's take a break. We'll come back.

Speaker 1 (01:32:49):
We'll clean up the super chats after we talk about
what we've been playing right after this.

Speaker 2 (01:32:58):
All right, we're back, Mike, what if you been playing
a sure mean lots of silks.

Speaker 3 (01:33:03):
So I've been talking about that, you know, uh skate though, Yeah,
I went to is anybody calling it because like you know,
it's stylized for the lower cases. Anybody calling this one
lower skate to differentiate it? No, Mike, but I like
that lower skate. Can we get the lower skate happening
lower side?

Speaker 6 (01:33:19):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
I don't know if anyone else is gonna like it,
but I do, and that's all that matters.

Speaker 3 (01:33:22):
Yeah, I've been playing lower skate and uh yeah, it's
I have never played any skates.

Speaker 2 (01:33:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:33:30):
I just somehow never picked it up. I always was
a Tony Hawk guy. People just talking about this as
a more realistic skate game. I don't know, just kind
of didn't care. It's even that time when the Tony
hawkings weren't as interesting as these to beasts. I just
wasn't thinking about skating in general.

Speaker 2 (01:33:44):
What were we on around this time of the original
skate project He Project Date?

Speaker 3 (01:33:48):
Yeah, yeah, right, American Wasteland Proving Ground that A yeah,
it don't quite those I.

Speaker 1 (01:33:55):
Don't think I ever played any Proven Grounds or Project Date.
I don't think I've ever touched those games.

Speaker 3 (01:33:59):
I think I could play Project eight out of Kiosks
a best SUPPI er, that's sounds right, But just like
picked this up, I would be like, oh see how
different this is from Tony Hawk, but also so fun.
And I do generally like the kind of slow paced vibe,
like you know, I like the mission based timers, but
that's not this. This is kind of just chill do

(01:34:20):
your tricks. It's not a rush. Kind of doing the
different maneuvers with the way you flick the right stick.
It feels pretty good the way that grinds are really
about balancing. They're just more about the tricks you go
on and.

Speaker 2 (01:34:32):
Off of them. Yeah, I was surprised how much I
was enjoying it.

Speaker 3 (01:34:37):
There's you know, there's some questionable things like I don't
know why they decided to make some like Google AI
stand in Assistant your Navvy character for this.

Speaker 2 (01:34:48):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (01:34:49):
About that other WHI It's like, you know there's micro transactions,
it's a free to play game, Sure there are. I
don't mean, I'm not too worried about the cosmetics on
my avatar and I you unlocked some for free and
I'm like, look, I'll find some garbage in there to wear.
I'm supposed to be a skater anyways, I'm not.

Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
I'm a piece of meat. I'm uncooked raw beef. Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:35:09):
I haven't really done much with like the community aspect,
aside from just seeing other people running around in skating,
so don't really know how much there is to that.
We're gonna check us on upf plate together and see
how we feel. But my first impressions were surprisingly decent.

Speaker 2 (01:35:25):
Yeah, my experience is pretty similar. Mike, I tonyak guy.

Speaker 1 (01:35:30):
I played some skate and I played some of those
skate clones to the coming on over the last couple
of years.

Speaker 2 (01:35:35):
Never really did much for me.

Speaker 1 (01:35:37):
But this one, like, I don't know if this the
fundamental skating mechanics are just kind of chilling good. I'm like,
I see a place to grind, I go at it.
I flicked the stick, I land on it. I kind
of feel like it landed in the way I was
expecting it to, Like it worked the way I thought
it would, and that's like, oh, okay, this is already
just kind of clicking in place for me in the
first thirty minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:35:57):
That's not what was what I was expecting. I was
expecting a little bit more learning curve.

Speaker 1 (01:36:01):
And yet it still feels very distinct from Tony Hawk
in terms of obviously just is it has a very
completely different control scheme. It feels like an early access game,
but in like the right way where it's a little
bit of a blank canvas of Look, we have the
fun gameplay mechanics, we have an idea of how we're
going to make money from this game. Now, just like

(01:36:22):
play the game, and we'll use the data from that
to kind of give us an idea of like where
we should be growing toward, Like what should this game
grow into? And like I was saying earlier, I think
if they add proximity chat and just make it a
real hangout game and maybe add some like fun I
don't know, fun not necessarily mini games, but like challenges
or like Destiny style world events that pop off things

(01:36:45):
like that happening just make it feel a little bit
more alive. I bet they'll have something. Will it be
exactly the game that the skate fans were asking for
when they were saying hashtag skate for I don't think
it's ever going to be that, But I think it's
the game that EA could justify making. And does that suck? Sure,
But I don't think this is a bad game. I
think I think there's really something here. So we're gonna

(01:37:06):
be playing on UPF tomorrow. Let's see if it stands
up to that, like like a couple hours just hanging
out playing the game, and uh, if it can, then
I'll probably keep checking it out here or there for
the next couple of years.

Speaker 2 (01:37:17):
Well, it's in early access. I guess. I don't know
how long it's gonna be an early access, but my.

Speaker 1 (01:37:20):
Head maybe, yeah, maybe these days it's like that just
could happen forever, could be in beta, forever, anything else.

Speaker 2 (01:37:26):
Mike, we dug a hole again? Yeah? We did play
Keep Digging. Yeah, yeah, my.

Speaker 3 (01:37:32):
One thousandth game. I'd beaten every retilation.

Speaker 2 (01:37:35):
Mike, you did it?

Speaker 5 (01:37:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:37:37):
Thanks, I'm sorry, Mike. I realized that I could have
just stopped playing. I'm like, no, yeah, you could have refused. Yeah,
you're right, you could have just put the stream. Yeah,
we wanted to have the monkey fart. You know, that's true.
That was beautiful. I was very happy when you got
in on the monkey fart.

Speaker 3 (01:37:51):
You know, it's funny, Like it was fun and I
enjoyed it. But it was But I also was like, boy,
a game of a digging hole was much more of
a I hate to say this video game than this,
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
Yeah, no, I mean it's like, clearly that's true.

Speaker 1 (01:38:05):
And at the same time, like I do not begrudge
this game existing at all, Like it is exactly. It
is a four hour and fifty cent game. That's what
this was, and I think it was the right price
for the right experience it has.

Speaker 2 (01:38:18):
Do you know what?

Speaker 1 (01:38:19):
The it's review on on Steam is very positive. People
just like it delivered what it said it would. We
we actually were never expecting some like really well thought
out game. Just make sure the digging feels good and
that we can make some progression. It's it's a clicker
and really it was like it's not like compared to
some idle clicker games. It's also not very well designed,

(01:38:39):
like there's a lot of clickers way better than this.

Speaker 2 (01:38:42):
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:38:43):
I just like we went in there, we beat it
in less than two hours. We hung out, had fun. Yeah, yeah, yeah, right,
it made some discoveries. I don't know, it was it
was a good time.

Speaker 3 (01:38:52):
It's like it has like the stuff for the loop
of a game about digging hole because you know, it's
like I said of the jet pack, you have this
rope and it's the same thing and you have to like,
you know, upgrade your energy. But it kind turns out, well,
just dig like an asshole and you'll find the way
points teleporters and yeah, you just kind of go like
a mania, especially with the multiplayer, which I don't think
the game's balanced for how many players are in there

(01:39:13):
anything like that.

Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
So yeah, it really like was advertising itself.

Speaker 1 (01:39:17):
It's like up to eight players, and man, I wonder
what this is like with eight players just digging straight
down and you're done in like twenty five minutes. Maybe
I don't know, it doesn't It didn't seem like it
was adjusting for.

Speaker 2 (01:39:26):
The number of players that were in the game anything
else we have. I'm like trying to remember what else
I talked about.

Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
It I was playing Roade Prince of Persia, which is
out of early access actually, and I thought it was
surprisingly good.

Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
But yeah, I think people should check that one.

Speaker 3 (01:39:40):
Out if they like roguelikes like Dead Cells with I
think the platforming in this is fantastic.

Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
It feels really nice.

Speaker 3 (01:39:48):
It's a game that I think is gonna be a
bit lost in the shuffle of a lot of good
two D action games right now, So uh, don't don't
let it pass you.

Speaker 2 (01:39:56):
By completely if you think it's something you might be
interested in.

Speaker 1 (01:40:00):
I played Lego Voyagers with jan Achoa of giant bomb
dot com. We stream that that is a co op
only game that is a split fiction like and I
thought it's really charming. It looks fantastic, like all these
recent Lego games have, you know, And I guess if
I say Lego games, people might immediately start thinking of
like the Star Wars Lego games. There are the there's

(01:40:21):
the other track of Lego games like I can never
remember the name of it, but it's sort of the
the contemplative sort of inner piece game where you're playing
playing as a Lego piece that moves around, it saws puzzles,
and maybe you abandon your child. I can't remember the story,
but it was very sad. It's similar to that, but
now you are working together to sort of like solve

(01:40:41):
very simple puzzles in a world where it's just like, uh,
you need to get to that side. So one person's
gonna use a lever to get on this platform and
then they're gonna fling you over together side, and then
you do the same thing to them using the lever
that's on that side.

Speaker 2 (01:40:55):
Of the chasm.

Speaker 1 (01:40:57):
A lot of simple stuff like that, but it oh
just felt like every time we made a big reveal
of like, oh, what is this lever going to do,
or what is the solution to this puzzle going to
cause to happen in the world, it's always pretty cool.
Like I think we were like setting off a rocket
or something. There was a big explosion and it happened
over our head.

Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
It was it was neat. I think this might be
a really good one to play with a kid who
mostly understands gaming logic the way game puzzles are built,
and as long as they get that, I think you'll
have a good time.

Speaker 1 (01:41:25):
It's like playing this as a family game or like
with a partner or something like that. That is interested
in spending time with you playing games, but maybe it's
not their primary hobby. I think this one could deliver
the experience you're looking for. It's not I don't. I
think it's not as good as Split Fiction. As far
as I could tell, I've not played much split Fiction.
I played a little bit of it. Split Fiction has

(01:41:45):
a lot more going on. That is a video game
as video game for two people at the same time.
So if you're like picking and choosing between that, and
you're like looking for the more premier experience, split Fiction
is probably going to do it. If you like Lego
like these kinds of games, you want something pretty and
chill to hang out with, I think this one can
work for most people.

Speaker 2 (01:42:03):
All right, uh yeah anything.

Speaker 3 (01:42:05):
I enjoyed watching you guys play that game, Okay, Yeah,
I was wondering what it was like for people.

Speaker 2 (01:42:09):
Yeah, it just looked it was a fun game to
look at. It's very pretty, it's very check. Yes exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:42:14):
They didn't not even sure if they have ray tracing,
and they had ray tracing in that other one, which
Lego Builders Journey, I knew chat would.

Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
I was going to look down them like, I bet
there's I know right that one like was like, hey
we have ray tracing. That's crazy, and like I didn't
even see that as an option in this one seems
like a much more like refined or confined experience of like,
let's just kind of make it smaller and go for it,
probably because they knew they're gonna have a smaller audience
of people who will play with two people at the
same time. All right, so one last check with you.

(01:42:44):
Any other titles you want to mention real quick? Good
for now?

Speaker 3 (01:42:47):
Just you know, Soak Songs the game that I think
about it, that will be my game for the Bomb twelve,
which I should actually probably.

Speaker 2 (01:42:54):
You go, oh yeah, I should. I need to go
send that link out again so people can remember to vote.
Go vote in the Bomb twelve by the links up
on a giant bomb.

Speaker 5 (01:43:02):
Hey, she was quick. I play a lot of that
two SKO beta. Yeah, yeah, play with friends double the fans,
so yep, they know that she's so. This is the
only thing I don't like about that game, it is
the matches are still a little bit too long when
you like especially.

Speaker 2 (01:43:21):
I mean, how long are they and what do you
expect or what do you know?

Speaker 5 (01:43:24):
I don't know time why is how long they are,
but they feel so kind of long, especially when like
at the beginning when it first time out, it was
if I didn't feel it, because we will. You will
either die right away or we will kill the other
person right away, because nobody knows who to play the
game yet. But now that everybody's kind of level up
and like it understands all the mechanics and they know

(01:43:47):
how to defend and stuff, the matches are kind of stretchy,
you know, they stretch out. And I got like a
couple of timeouts in a way that you kind of
don't get another fighting games.

Speaker 4 (01:43:59):
We're like, oh, it's just running down the clock.

Speaker 5 (01:44:02):
And I've been told that the second alpha test that
they did like a couple of months ago, like pretty.

Speaker 4 (01:44:09):
Much every single match when the timeout.

Speaker 5 (01:44:11):
And now it's not that problem anymore, so maybe like
making a little bit more Like sure, even though you
do a lot of damage in this game, it's just
you have too many defensive options. I feel like you
have like you can roll away, you can wake up
invincible reversal, you can wake up like super. You have
like just defense that kind of stuff, or like you

(01:44:34):
have a lot of like defensive options. Maybe take one
out in me, I will accelerate the thing a little
bit more. But other than that, the game issues a
lot of fun issues.

Speaker 4 (01:44:46):
I like Little Later.

Speaker 5 (01:44:48):
Yeah, I like live Let on top of that, so
seeing all these characters like beating the ship at each
other are really fun to me.

Speaker 4 (01:44:54):
And I played in a tournament the other day. I went,
I went one.

Speaker 5 (01:44:58):
Two, so my us kicked. So it feels I don't know,
it's it's it's a fun game. It's still a long way.
I feel like they need they definitely need more characters
because it's not enough right, and it's just fun.

Speaker 1 (01:45:13):
Yeah, it seemed it just seemed like it was the
game was in a weird place. And now mostly what
I'm hearing is stuff that sounds like what you were saying.
People are enjoying playing the game.

Speaker 5 (01:45:23):
Yeah, yes, especially yeah, I play with yeah, if you
if you find someone to play with, I play with
randomps too, and now what's fun too. I like people
on the thing and they will add me and we
just playing with no boi chat or anything. If you
know what you're you're doing, you can play with random.
But like get a friend, and she was getting boy
chat this card. It's real, real fun.

Speaker 2 (01:45:45):
All right. Uh, I think that's going to do it
for the games, Mike, let's catch up on those super chats.

Speaker 3 (01:45:50):
Absolutely for Matt Rare Monkey Earth on is on console
today and it's game of the year worthy.

Speaker 2 (01:45:55):
This is that schmop that looks I really I really
liked earth Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:46:00):
It's us A Cashiro's studios new game and it's basically
used A Cashiro and then one other person who does
a lot of like the game design and engineering with
Uso Cashiro. It's a game that is going to be
released on the Sega Genesis, like they are one to
release a rom on a cartridge that will work on
the Genesis.

Speaker 2 (01:46:17):
So check it out. It's worth it. It's just a
solid shooter to.

Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
One free man, says Sean. I started playing Pokemon pimboffter
you mentioned it. Holy shit? Is it amazing on the
Steam deck Watch the video by g Medley. Thanks for
the wreck.

Speaker 2 (01:46:31):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:46:34):
I realized pretty recently that Pokemon, Pinball, Ruby and Sapphire
specifically is probably like ritten off by a lot of
people because it came out when Pokemon Can started like
churning out the spinoffs and right some of them were
not very good. But yeah, like, if you ever want
like a nice little retro game to play, Binball Ruby Sapphire,
specifically the Sapphire table, because again option between the two tables,

(01:46:57):
it's got the Jews, like, Jeff, have you never tried
to think you would really appreciate just fun?

Speaker 2 (01:47:01):
But I've never tried to feel it's very ill. I'll
pop it on this on the same deck.

Speaker 6 (01:47:05):
Oh take out that video too. Looks like the this
person has a couple like video essays on and I've
been really in the mood for video essays.

Speaker 2 (01:47:12):
Cool.

Speaker 3 (01:47:13):
Jedi Moss fors is PSA, Ninja guid and Rage Bound
was recently updated run sixty fps on switchhoo oh that's
so fantastic.

Speaker 1 (01:47:20):
Yeah, I saw the update was happening. I didn't see
you like the details about it. All right, that's good news.

Speaker 3 (01:47:24):
It was real strange that it wasn't at first, so
oh yeah, but I'm glad that's the case now. The
Sager or Thesiger says reminder Samus on motorcycle looks as
sick as hell's.

Speaker 2 (01:47:34):
That's breaking news. It's good, that's Truekey.

Speaker 3 (01:47:37):
Says can't wait for Mike's twenty twenty five apology tour
in twenty thirty one. Now I think my top five
list is going to have the five best games of
the year. I don't know it's going to be much.
I mean maybe I feel a little gift about this stranding.
I'll try to play that.

Speaker 1 (01:47:50):
Yeah, there'll be a couple, but it'll be like one
of your normal years. It won't be like the year
that twenty nineteen where you were just lost the blizzard.

Speaker 3 (01:47:57):
Was I was just lost in They're wor right, that's
absolutely what happened there to one Freeman, says Jeff not
to be weird, what do you tell your barber or stylist,
I have similar hair and always have issues with finding
someone that can cut curls.

Speaker 2 (01:48:13):
Yeah, so I had the same problem for literally forever.

Speaker 1 (01:48:17):
I never had a good haircut, and that that's changed
a little bit recently, and I'm like, I can't tell
the like my hair has just changed enough where it's
like it's settled down hormones. Who knows, it's probably I
do ask for the specific thing every time it is
an undercut, and I tell them leave the top as
long as possible, to just clean it up, and then
give me a one on the sides, and then sometimes

(01:48:38):
I all them blend it and sometimes I won't, but
I'm trying to grow it back out long on top,
like that's the one that I always say this, that's
the part that takes a long time to grow back.

Speaker 2 (01:48:47):
The sides will grow back from just you know, as
as it is.

Speaker 1 (01:48:50):
So that's an easy thing to say now because I
don't mind if it kind of gets a little bit
bushy and weird like this.

Speaker 2 (01:48:56):
I think it's so it's looking fine for me right now.

Speaker 1 (01:48:59):
But yeah, if you are trying to keep it a
certain length and you want them to do a little
bit more to it, I think that's probably where we
get in trouble.

Speaker 2 (01:49:05):
And I do not know how to solve that. So yeah,
good luck. Uh And then next up and.

Speaker 3 (01:49:13):
Screaming mad and says I got a few shout outs
cook Serve Forever from the CSD team cast and show
and plan to play Chrono Gear or in a time
from the Freedom Planet devs Oh, yeah, that's that's the yeah,
Freedom Planets.

Speaker 2 (01:49:27):
Those are those good Sonic likes.

Speaker 3 (01:49:29):
Sonic likes yeah for the Vita right, Yeah, I'm looking
at this Chrono Gear or its time game. It looks
like what's weird about it is that it's a new game,
but it's in a three by four ratio, Like it
has sidebars on the screenshots, so like, uh, they were
they that devoted to being retro.

Speaker 2 (01:49:46):
That's kind of an interesting choice. Yeah, why not?

Speaker 3 (01:49:50):
Maybe anything to stand out then, mikey Oilarius is don't
worry about rides, Mike, Dollywood has famous cinnamon bread.

Speaker 2 (01:49:56):
Who I like cinnamon? I like cinnamon two. That sounds good.
I would I'd like to have some doll Dolly's famous
cinnamon bread. Let's go. That's it. Thank you so much.
Everybody appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (01:50:07):
Cool hall, Well, we I think we've done everything right.
I could probably hit the music. That's all the stuff
we're supposed to do. We talk a little bit about.

Speaker 2 (01:50:14):
I hit both of them at the same time. That's
not good, but we started all over. We're not We're
not Madusa versus Shoe. Please don't forget to check out
Zoe Zoe.

Speaker 3 (01:50:29):
Be Gone Earthy on kind of silk song, dit and
Platypus Reclayed. I like weird schmupps, gotcha Medisa At the.

Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
Same time that like gradiest one was coming out right
that you played.

Speaker 3 (01:50:40):
That Gradiut Origins collection which included sal Mader III, which
was a new game. Yeah, so right, surprisingly good period
for Schmupps. There a sudden out of nowhere. Had a
lot of fun on Giant Bomb this week. We are
going to continue that tomorrow by playing Skate on UPF.
You got another game of Spornings. Yeah, but yeah, we

(01:51:00):
did a lot. Flight Club was interesting for sure. That
Lego Voyagers Uh play that you and Jan Dida watch
that especially if you're curious about that game.

Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
You'll get a really really good sense of.

Speaker 5 (01:51:13):
What it is.

Speaker 3 (01:51:14):
And you can watch me Jeff and Dan dig a
hole and keep digging the Mega man I did check
out Rope puts a persia.

Speaker 2 (01:51:20):
If you want to see what that game looks like.

Speaker 1 (01:51:22):
I mean, back and watch that because I am I'm
curious to see like your experience with it early on,
because I can put it on maybe while I'm trying
some other games tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:51:30):
You know, we had we had a great time on
the Voicemail Dump Truck as well. We had Emily Panic
join us, so that was a fast time.

Speaker 2 (01:51:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:51:42):
Yeah, She's fantastic, very funny and Bomb can't say, gosh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:51:46):
We did we did it all. We did it all
and then some. When when you say it all like that,
it sounds like we work a lot. We had a
couple of these.

Speaker 5 (01:51:54):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:51:54):
Our game I Stuff Ninten Dogs was like two hours.
This is two hours too, man. We've been having longer
episodes again recently.

Speaker 2 (01:52:02):
It's just that time of year. There's a lot to
talk about, yep. A lot of games, yes, a lot
of games, a lot of news. Yeah. But thanks everybody
for tuning in. As always, we really enjoyed doing this.
We're glad that you all enjoy seeing it. We'll catch
you next time, all right, take care of yourself, have

(01:52:22):
a good one and goodbye.

Speaker 4 (01:52:37):
It's a good song. I like this song.

Speaker 2 (01:52:40):
That's good stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:52:55):
Oh ship Toko. Update.

Speaker 5 (01:52:56):
I watched the first episode of Garl within three minutes.
I saw boobs ten out of ten?

Speaker 2 (01:53:05):
Is it like nourished in your ass?

Speaker 4 (01:53:08):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (01:53:08):
What is that? How's that's about the shrimp
