is playing the Netflix game,
and they're gonna limit
premium benefits only for family members
staying in the same home.
So, this may be a bit of an

(00:43):
issue for some of you that may have
a shared account with a college student
or so forth.
So according to the new policy, what you
need to know
is the crackdown
begins in about fourteen days.
Affected users will get will get, some time
to confirm eligibility,

(01:04):
and then YouTube will pause premium family accounts
shared outside the same household.
Now the plan, which costs about $23
a month, has been an easy way to
split subscription costs with others. However, now it
looks like YouTube,
again, is gonna crack down on user sharing
accounts outside
of the home.

(01:26):
And, so if you're part of a family
plan but not physically located in the same
house, you will be getting
a message.
In the email, YouTube says family family
plan members must be in the same household
as the family manager.
If not, membership will be paused. The email
as effective users will remain in your family

(01:47):
group and still watch YouTube with ads that
no longer have YouTube
premium.
Now, notably, YouTube will allow users to receive
this email to confirm eligibility and maintain access
using a support form.
Now for what it's worth, YouTube has required
family members to be in the same household
since 2023,

(02:07):
but until now, there was no consequences
for ignoring it.
So now it looks like the company's cracking
down on this.
In other words, you connect
via a different IP,
a different network,
then you will have to
pay
for a second account or be removed,
from the premium plan. I pay for premium.

(02:30):
I don't pay for a family plan, so
it doesn't affect me. But I do run
into trouble whenever I travel.
It seems that YouTube
takes a little bit for under to understand
that I have
left The United States
and arrived in whatever country I may be
in.
So,
you know, this is not surprising in in

(02:52):
that regard.
Netflix is actually a little more tough. And
then but the main thing is there's no
one here
that's using my YouTube or Netflix account. I
have shifted location, and it usually resolves itself
within a couple of days because I see
there's no one that's actually logged in or
actively using the account,

where I normally reside.
So,
yep.

no longer will anyone outside of the household
will have access.

tidbits and news and information that's made the

SpaceX,
the Dragon has given the International Space Station
to kick up the in orbit. They basically
did a, a burn for about five minutes
and three seconds
that raised the altitude
of the International Space Station by

about a mile.
And, they're gonna do ongoing tests while the,
the Dragon is there.
So they're using Draco engines.
And, the Northrop Grumman
air spacecraft can also perform limited reboots as
well that was demonstrated in 2024, but Dragon

itself is capable of using its engines
to nudge the International Space Station.
Of course, this reboots kit was in the
SpaceX c r c r s 33 Dragon
cargo spacecraft,
and, they're going to be doing several more
of these, lifts,
while the
while it's, on station.

Now
you all know that I was one of
the first to play with the smart glasses
when they came out so many, many years
ago, Google Glasses, and, boy, they've come a
long way since then. But the majority of
them are ugly, big.
They not don't necessarily look that cool.
We know that, Ray Bans
are one of the most fascinating new pieces,

lifestyle tech. It's out there.
But, again,
short battery life,
and, you know, they they're decent.
But, again,
I think what we are seeing here is
is I think we're always gonna be tethered
to some some form

of battery,
but they're saying that, the glasses are gonna
be approving.
And embedded displays inside the smart glasses will
help,
but, lots of people are coming out with
stuff. Magic Leap, Snap Spectacles,
the Rayneil x three, Google, and Samsung are
expected eventually to have their own smart glasses
with displays.

And, of course, all these things cost a
lot of money
at this point.
But, you know, unless you're gonna be a
USB c tethered
to a to a battery like the X
Real one and Virgil Luma Pro,
just the the usage is just there's not
enough battery in the glasses to,
to make it last long.

So I think what we'll end up seeing
at some point is definitely a a greater
a greater functionality
of these things.
And, but made a second gen Ray Bans
debut almost two years ago. And, of course,
the company is expected to announce an upgrade,
but, again, the battery life is,
is, again, always the issue with these. But

apparently allowing millions to access pirated stream of
sports
such as
Premier League, formerly one races, and Major League

Baseball.
So with this landmark action,
they put,
more points on the board for sports league
by taking down these pirated sites. But where
one was,
another one will will pop up. So,

this group stream, East various domains originally primary

originated primarily from The UK, US, Canada, Philippines,
and Germany.
And two people have been arrested,
only two,
running a site that has that many folks.
Yeah. Uh-huh.

Revolution Wind is suing the president's
administration
over Project Halt.

have announced a lawsuit on Thursday alleging its
decision to block construction, the nearly finished
Revolution Wind project
by the commerce department saying it is an
illegal project. So we'll see what happens with

yourself. They didn't get that for nothing. That

The United States Department of State this week

information on three Russian federal security service officers.

to hack into networks of 100 of energy
companies in The US.
So the purpose of attack was to enable
the Russian government to disrupt and damage such
facilities.
Three officers in the coconspirators targeted more than

countries.
The suspects, members of the FSB center sixteen

ServiceNow,
which I'm a company I'm not familiar with,
signs, Uncle Sam's latest short term AI discount

deal.
US General Service Administration announced its latest one
gov deal with the workflow automation software firm
on Wednesday,
describing the region as one that will allow
to streamline a wild range of business process
a wild range of business processes.
If the mere serious unsourced projections mentioned by
the GSA are correct, widespread adoption of ServiceNow

AI tools can increase agency workflow efficiency by
up to 30%.
Just giving any government worker access to chat
GPT should increase their productivity by 50% in
my opinion, but,
what do I know? Android drops mega patch
bomb a 120 fixes, but two of them
have already been exploited.
So, this month,

this is a bit massive patch.
It's a far cry from July when Android
didn't issue a single patch.
The two biggest concerns are two high severity
problems in the Linux kernel. In a high
severity issue with the Android's runtime environment, attacker
could escalate total privileges.
Google declined the name who exploiting the flaws
or how so. I guess these are patches.

These aren't new
bugs. But, anyway,

to be delivered at some point
by one of or if you got a
Samsung, it'll probably take them some time to
turn it around, etcetera. But if you got

Roblox has spanned its use of age estimation
tech and introduces standardized ratings.
Amid lawsuits challenging,
alleging child safety concerns, online gaming service Roblox
announced on Wednesday that expanding its age estimation
tech to all users and partnering with the
International Age Rating Coalition
to provide age and content ratings for the

games and apps on its platform.
So, bowing to pressure here, the company said
that by year's end,
the age estimation system will be rolled out
to all users who access the company's communication
tools like voice and text based chat. This
involves scanning user selfies, analyzing facial features to
estimate age.

The age estimation text combined with other systems,
including ID, age verification, and verified parental consent
as well.
So, coming to a, Roblox
game near you and parental permission.
Congress a congress panel has thrown a cyber
threat intel sharing funding a lifeline.

The the House Homeland Security Committee advanced both
bills during a markup session on Wednesday, but
little time remains to have them signed the
law despite InfoSec luminaries deemed them critical components
of US national security.
The federal government needs to be able to
collaborate closely and efficiently with private sector,

claim the tech giant secret collected data even
after they disabled the data collection in their
Google account. So if
this doesn't get appealed and if this gets

people wanting this after the lawyers take their

unfair to an extent, doesn't it?
But that's what happens when a 100,000,000 people
are included in a,
class action lawsuit.
Bitcoin's record high is sparking a surge in
crypto scams, so be careful. The hype around
cryptocurrencies
create a ripe environment for malicious actors.
So, just pay attention to your stuff. A

lot of emails coming out
and
a lot of people trying to get your
Bitcoin.
And, just,
be very, very careful out there in who
you're
communicating with,
what you're clicking on, and etcetera, especially if
you have a significant amount.
You know, you probably need to put in

significant amount of security to make sure that
no one's gonna get to,
your crypto.
This is kinda cool. A robot walks on
water thanks to Evolution Solutions. Yes. Evolution's
solution.
It's called Ragabit,
and it isn't the first thing that comes
to mind at the mention of a robot,

but it's a water it's basically like a
water strider. It's a semi aquatic insects are
known as ripple bugs, and this thing does
the same thing.

and close depending on how the water beneath

The iPhone
Fold could be the first iPhone with a

megapixel under display camera. Given the existing leaks,

design. It's unclear
whether one or both screens would have an

company, which is behind the Arc and DIA
web browser.
OpenAI and Perplexi both reported looked at acquiring
a startup, but Atlassia, whose Jira project management

startup's technology drawing on the experience selling to
big companies. Well, I don't need a browser.

we use it heavily. I'm in
Jira daily. We use it for,
all of our
task assignments, sprint planning, the whole nine yards.
China's DeepSeek is prepping an AI agent for

The free video editor launches on iOS this
month, and an Android version is coming later.
