Speaker 1 (00:01):
What's up everybody.
It's your favorite show'sfavorite show.
Get a Bucket.
I'm your host, trey, and asusual, I hope you're all having
a wonderful, wonderful day.
Today we're going to talk aboutthe WNBA fantasy rankings.
Right, espn dropped this list.
It's not mine, but I am curiouswhat y'all think about it.
I got my own takes and gripesabout it, but I ain't going to
talk about everyone listed.
I'm looking at 50 players.

(00:22):
We're going to talk about theteams, but before we talk about
the teams, make sure you hitthat like and subscribe button.
Please comment and tell anyonewho's anyone about the show.
I'm trying to get the ratings upa little bit, just a little bit
.
But again, we're talking aboutthe WNBA teams and there are 13
teams now.
Shout out to the Golden StateValkyries right For upping the
WNBA roster or team count.

(00:43):
So I said there's 13.
I'm not going to talk aboutevery single squad At least I'll
try not to.
I am a WNBA fan, so I couldaccidentally talk about them and
I quite easily actually but I'mat least talking about the top
five WNBA teams that have themost WNBA fantasy ranked players

(01:04):
.
I'll mention the other ones aswell, because some of them are
surprising, but I'll talk aboutthe top fives.
So with that, though, I justwant to talk about the six
through 13 teams.
I just mentioned them realbrief In order.
We have the number 13 team, golden State Valkyries right,
they had one player in the top50.
Connecticut Sun at 12, they hadthree players in the top 50.
One player in the top 50.
Connecticut Sun at 12.
They had three players in thetop 50.

(01:25):
One player in the top 20.
Want to note that?
Dallas Wings, number 11.
They had three players also, but one player in the top six.
The Seattle Storm, surprisingly, have three players as well.
They're three players in thetop 25.
The Phoenix Sun oh, the PhoenixMercury, I'm sorry, they had
three players as well.
A lot of teams have threeplayers.
That's good to know.

(01:45):
Their three players are in thetop 15.
The Minnesota Lynx they havethree players.
They have one player in the topfive.
Shout out to Nafisa Collier.
We have the Washington Mystics, higher than the Minnesota Lynx.
Okay, they have four playersand their players are in the top
50, right in between 30 and 50.
And then we have the ChicagoSky at number six.

(02:06):
They have four players as wellin the top 50 and one of their
players in the top 15.
Shout out Angel Reese.
So you heard the listing fromsix through 13.
Some of those teams are verysurprising.
For example, the Seattle StormI wouldn't expect them to be
that low.
The Phoenix Sun or PhoenixMercury I did it again.
That's crazy.
Phoenix Mercury, I would expecta little higher, but okay, I

(02:27):
understand it.
The Seattle Storm wasdefinitely surprising to me, I'm
not going to lie to you.
Golden State Valkyrie ifanybody was surprised, I would
be dumbfounded.
You just weren't watchingbasketball then, I guess,
because this is their firstseason started.
But a team like the Storm theyboth Nneka Ogumike, skyler
Diggins-Smith and EzzieMagbergor.
Now I understand they lostJewel Lloyd, but you also, I

(02:51):
have a couple of players as wellto throw in here.
Now, the top 50 might be toughto crack, so that's why I guess
I can understand it.
It's just tough to hear, it'stough to read.
But again though, those are thetop six through 13 teams end of
day.
So y'all may be wondering who'stop five?
Well, ladies and gentlemen,we're going to start off with

(03:13):
the 15.
That's the Las vegas aces.
They have four players in thetop 50 and two in the top 10.
Now keep in mind.
Asia wilson is rated number onein fantasy rankings.
Right.
Then you got jewel lloyd, who'snumber nine in fantasy rankings
, like that's.
That's pretty good.

(03:34):
That's pretty good, okay.
Uh, we also know they gotjackie young and chelsea gray
too.
This is a championship team.
Everybody on this at leasteveryone that I've listed or
stated has won a championship,so that's nothing to scoff at.
So, from a fantasy perspective, also coupled with reality, the
Las Vegas Aces they do on paperseem to be like a formidable

(03:58):
squad.
I am curious where the shooting, the three-point shooting
specifically, is going to comefrom.
I know Chelsea Gray can shoot.
I know Jackie Young can shootit.
Asia, she did all right lastyear.
Jewel's not the best shooter, but again, because of the
spacing, maybe now she canattack more.
I want to see efficiency fromjewel, but again, to see out, uh
, the, uh, the las vegas aces, they do seem promising, like

(04:21):
really promising.
I gotta, I gotta, think, shopwith money on.
I don't know, but based off thefantasy rankings, at least
they're a little lower than whatyou might want to expect.
But again, with context, youmay want to vault them up.
But that's enough about the LasVegas Aces, because again we
know what to expect out of them.
Let's talk about the fourth team, the New York Liberty, and the

(04:48):
reason why they're ahead of theAces is because keep mind too
they have four players in thetop 50.
Like I said, the Aces have twoplayers in the top 10.
The Liberty have three playersin the top 10.
One of them was finals MVP inJonquil Jones, and then we got
Sabrina Ionescu and BriannaStewart, and then you got to

(05:09):
talk about Banaj Eleni.
That's a quality four playersright there.
Sometimes you can say it don'tget much better, because it
really don't.
It's very tough to beat thatfour-woman roster.
Even with the aces, anybodywould hate to go up against
their squad, the Liberty thoughI am surprised they don't have

(05:33):
more, because they do havequality players on the team too.
Their depth was always a concernfor me, so I would be curious
to see if these rankings meanthat they're still top heavy.
That's very curious for me,same with the Aces, the Liberty
and Aces.
I'm curious if they're going tobe top heavy once again.
We have seen them win whilebeing viewed as top heavy, but

(05:53):
depth does matter though, sohopefully somebody in their
depth can crack the top 50.
Again, it's tough to crack thetop 50, but hopefully somebody
can at least in the top 50rankings, maybe not WNBA fantasy
rankings, but at least in theWNBA rankings as a whole.
But we know the defendingchamps, we know what they can do
.
So it's not like I'm saying, oh, they're losing, I'm surprised

(06:14):
that they're number four.
But speaking of number four, let's move on up to number three
.
Who's my most surprising team, regardless of where I'm talking,
and that's in fact my LosAngeles Sparks.
Ladies and gentlemen, we havefive players listed in the top
50.
We got one player in the top 10, which is Kelsey Plum.
Keep in mind, I have my gripesabout Kelsey Plum and acquiring

(06:36):
Kelsey Plum because, well youknow, I'm a Paige Beckers fan as
well too.
So I did want to get, I didwant us to get, paige Beckers.
I hate the fact that we had tosettle for Kelsey Plum.
I said it, I said it and that'sno slight to Kelsey Plum.
She's a good player, obviously.
Players is pretty cool.
And then you got to think toowhat does that ultimately mean?

(06:56):
Because fantasy rankings don'tnecessarily mean we're going to
win, they just mean these arethe fantasy rankings.
But Kelsey Plum, I like that.
Paired with Rekia Jackson, thatcould work.
Kia Jackson that could work.
Paired with De'Arica Hamby Allright cool.

(07:19):
Paired with Cameron Brink Allright and Azrae Stephens I'm
starting to like how this lineup looking, because we do have
depth, we do have height lengthshooting scoring.
We got a lot out there.
So I mean, I wasn't as high onmy Sparks until I saw the WNBA
fantasy rankings, but keep inmind too, I got to do my own

(07:40):
analysis as well.
But you may want to payattention to my Sparks.
We could do some things thisyear.
It might be a little trickycome playoff time who gets
booted out, because we could bein the thick of things.
But again, ladies and gentlemen, I ain't going to hem and haw
too much on my sparks, so y'allmight think I'm biased.
So let's move from number threeonto number two.
Now.
The top two teams actually arevery interesting to me, but

(08:02):
number two, I think, is a fanfavorite for a lot of you
casuals out there, because it is, in fact, the indiana fever.
Now.
They obviously boast fiveplayers and two of them in the
top 11.
We know who number one of thenumber two is right, which is
caitlin clark.

(08:23):
She's, in fact, number two interms of wmba fantasy rankings,
which is Kaitlyn Clark.
She's, in fact, number two interms of WNBA fantasy rankings.
Aaliyah Edwards is also theother person.
Now, keep in mind they gotDeJuanna Bonner, they also got
Kelsey Mitchell and they gotNatasha Howard.
So they do have a squad.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Feverare looking nice and you got to
pay attention to them.
I know a lot of people aresaying, oh yeah, they're going

(08:44):
to win it all this year.
Kaitlyn Clark's going to cutdown her turnover, she's going
to be the MVP, all this stuff.
Let's see what happens.
Let's see what happens.
I'm very curious how thisseason goes because a lot of
things could shake out.
But overall, from the WNBAfantasy rankings, as well as the
acquisitions and on paper andall that stuff, indiana Fever

(09:05):
look nice, they look cool.
Like I get why people feel theway they do and say what they
say.
I understand it.
So that's why I say we'll see.
It's not a, I doubt it, it's a.
Genuinely, we'll see, like I'mvery curious how this season
pans out.
So, ladies and gentlemen, theIndiana Fever, you got to pay

(09:27):
attention to them.
But the last team, number oneteam, the team with the most
players in the WNBA fantasyranking.
The Atlanta Dream, the AtlantaDream, are a somewhat scary team
for me, ladies and gentlemen, and I say somewhat not to be
disrespectful, but I saysomewhat because of my own
history.
Keep in mind I've said beforethe Dallas Wings and Seattle
Storm are going to do work.
They did well.

(09:48):
I was saying in the realms ofpotentially winning a
championship, there was a worldwhere they could have won.
And I view the Atlanta Dream ina similar way, maybe not as
strongly, but still in a similarway too, though based on their
acquisitions.
Right, they did just acquireBrittany Griner.
They also have Ryan Howard andAlicia Grace, so you have
arguably the most physicallydominant player in the game,

(10:10):
plus two elite two-way wings.
If we're talking basketball, bro, how are y'all losing?
So again, I look at them in asimilar breath and keep in mind
they have more players in thetop 50 fantasy rankings.
They are, they're a completeteam.

(10:31):
Are they too young?
We'll find out.
Is the timing a little off?
We'll find out.
But again, this, this atlantadream team, ladies and gentlemen
, boasting six players, yougotta pay attention to them.
They give me the same vibesthat I got when I saw the Dallas
Wings form two years ago andthen Seattle Storm form last
year.
Now, again, keep in mind.

(10:53):
If you want to say, oh, both ofthose teams lost, I hear you.
I do.
Still, they seem like a qualityteam and I'm going to be
curious how they do in thisseason.
This is going to be.
This might be the team I payattention to the most, honestly,
because they have the mostpotential.

(11:14):
But I'm not going to hem andhawl too much about the dream
Cause again.
I'll get my final predictionsbefore the season starts, that
way y'all know.
Okay, well, he's talking about,he's seen the fantasy rankings
and you got my final predictions.
But, ladies and gentlemen, y'allheard my top fives.
Y'all heard all the teams interms of where they're ranked.

(11:35):
Y'all heard my most surprises.
I'm curious about you guys.
What do y'all think about theWNBA fantasy rankings?
Do y'all think, based on theteams, it doesn't matter?
Do y'all think it matters alittle bit?
Was there a team that was mostsurprising to you?
I'm definitely curious aboutyour thoughts.

(11:55):
So make sure to comment, butalso please like, subscribe and
