What's up everybody.
It's your favorite show'sfavorite show Get a Bucket.
I'm your host, trey, and asusual, I hope you're all having
a wonderful, wonderful day.
Now, today we're going to talkabout what's a clutch shooter or
scorer All right, I'll lety'all figure it out, but we're
going to talk about what clutchis.
You know what I'm talking about.
But before we do that, makesure you hit that like and

Please comment, tell anyonewho's anyone about the show,
because I'm trying to get theratings up a little bit, just a
little bit.
But clutch, what's yourdefinition?
And there are varyingdefinitions, right, clutch can
be a lot of things.
It's subjective, I'll give youthat.
I'm going to tell you all mine.
But again, it's a lot of things.
You can talk about the lastfive minutes of a basketball
game or the last two minutes,really, of any sport.

Actually, the last two minutesof a basketball game, the last
minute of a basketball game,like all of those, can be
defined as clutch.
But my definition of clutch isa buzzer beater, like there's no
clutch or shot than a buzzerbeater, especially if you're
down, specifically if you'redown.
We also can talk about freethrows, because those are clutch

as well At the end.
I'm talking about, like buzzerbeater, free throws.
Ladies and gentlemen, there'sno time on the clock, so
whatever happens is directlybecause of you, now and again,
especially if you're down,specifically if you're down.
So that's my definition of whatclutch is.

And again, if you want to saysomething else, that's cool,
that's fine, that's dandy.
I just will say this as alittle lawyer in me If you're
going to say that five minutesshould be deemed as what clutch,
or within five minutes shouldbe deemed as what's clutch, I
can say then how come the firstbasket can't be considered as
clutch?
Because you can't win the gameuntil you score right.

So you need to be able to score.
Is that not clutch?
I'm just saying, ladies andgentlemen, I'm not trying to
change y'all opinion on whatclutch is.
I'm actually curious what y'allthoughts are.
I'm just telling you mine.
Now.
I did do a little research and Ilooked at five specific players
in the NBA's history right, theNBA's lore and I chose LeBron

James, michael Jeffrey, jordan,kobe Bean, brian, kevin Durant,
steph Curry.
They're pretty clutch, right.
They're pretty good, right.
Most of them in the top 10.
They're pretty good, right,most in the top 10.
And I'm talking about NBAhistory right now.
Like everybody has beenconsidered in the top 10 NBA

history.
Whether you view it as foolishor not, they're in somebody's
top 10.
So let's look at the buzzerbeaters that these boys have hit
, because, keep in mind, I havea biased answer on who I think
should be the most clutch.
Right, I thought Jordan, andthen Kobe, and then after that

jump ball, like I could saySteph, because Steph him.
You know what I'm saying.
Bronco, the numbers do helpthat out.
And KD is KD, you know who heis.
But again, y'all heard mybiased answers.
But let's talk about, based onwhat I said, buzzer beaters,
free throws, stuff like thatmatters.

Braun has eight buzzer beaters,jordan has nine, kobe has eight
, kevin Durant has three andSteph Curry has 10.
Now you've heard those numbersand you might be thinking a
couple of things, like, forstarters, damn, kd, you only got

three.
Come on, bro, tighten up, baby.
But at the same time, ladiesand gentlemen, kareem
Abdul-Jabbar only has three andKareem Abdul-Jabbar scored the
most points in the NBA's historyuntil Braun recently broke that
record.
So you might be thinking, okay,still, katie, you gotta tighten
up, hit the buzzer beater likeagain, that's the most clutch

(03:59):
shot ever.
And it's clutch because onepeople know you're going, you're
supposed to take the shot,especially if you're a star,
like these guys are, so they'retrying to prevent you from
shooting or getting the ball.
Then when you get it you mighteven get double team, triple
team, like that happens.
So again, ladies and gentlemen,a buzzer beater shot is not the

easiest thing to hit.
So when these numbers come offas low as they are, eight is
relatively low, 10 is relativelylow because these they have
taken a lot of shots.
It's that tough.
But again, that's just onething.
Kd's shooting only having three.
You might be noticing that Kobeand Braun are tied, ironically,

at number eight.
I think that's kind of poetictoo, because I have definitely
told people Kobe's more clutchthan Braun, right, but we also
have numbers here that help saywell, braun is at least tied.
They took the percentage.
We got to find that out becauseI got to see how many buzzer
beater shots that they've alltook.
That's a different discussionbut makes all right cool.

(05:04):
Yeah, they've made the same,but noting that steph curry has
more than all of them, yeah,that's that.
One probably takes the cake.
I ain't gonna lie to you thattakes cake.
That's extremely crazy and keepin mind, I did try to find the
free throws where they mighthave taken at the end of the
game, where the clock didn't hitzero, and that data is hard to

find, ladies and gentlemen.
So I'm still searching.
I'm still searching, but forright now that's going to come
up a little inclusive.
But to note, for the careers,their free throws go as follows
careers their free throws go asfollows Braun at 74, mj at 84,.

(05:46):
Kobe at 84, kd at 88, stephCurry at 91.
Keep in mind, I'm telling y'allthose in order and I'm rounding
up.
So Steph Curry was the worst,braun was the best, braun was
the worst.
So, again, with that in mind, ifI'm looking at who more clutch
like, if I'm trying to pick upsomebody on my team and I know
this information right now, Iknow this information I'd be

curious to know who I'd pickfirst.
I really would, because, again,seeing Steph Curry hitting 10
of them things and knowing he'snot going to miss from the free
throw line, we talk about Jordanbeing the killer, we talk about
Kobe being the killer.
Could they miss a free throw?
We are human, it's possible.
So might I want to have StephCurry take my final shot.

(06:31):
Keep in mind, steph Curry, yougot to play this brother from
distance, so if you're going todouble team him, he got a little
bit more more space to workwith as opposed to keep in mind.
They are closer too, though,but I'm sure his float game
could work pretty well too, likesteph curry's, a good mid-range
shooter, but then again I get a.
Jordan and kobe are top dogswhen it comes to mid-range, and

(06:55):
I mean kd's seven foot, and weknow braun has been pretty good
too.
This list thing is very tough tosay.
Who's the most clutch shooter?
I don't know.
That's an interesting one,because, again, I gotta rethink
some things now because mydefinition based on my
definition I'm not trying to bebiased, I heard my bias answer
but based on this definition,steph is looking a little bit

tough right now.
So actually, I got to take abreak and I got to ask y'all

Again, I gave credit that thereare other variations of clutch,

but the most clutch shot isthat buzzer beater, or that
buzzer beater free throw, if youwill, and based on that
definition, the most clutchdefinition factor in the free
throws because again you got tofactor that in.
