Speaker 1 (00:02):
What's up, everybody.
It's your favorite show'sfavorite show Get a Bucket.
I'm your host, trey, and, asusual, I hope you're all having
a wonderful, wonderful day.
Today we're going to talk aboutthe most well, my most
disappointing NBA team from the2025 season.
But before we do that, pleasemake sure to hit that like and
subscribe button.
Please make sure to comment andtell anyone who's anyone about
the show.
I'm trying to get the ratingsup a little bit, you know, just
(00:29):
a little bit.
But, like I said, ladies andgentlemen, today we're going to
talk about the mostdisappointing Well mine of the
2025 season in terms of teams.
So, and just a quick disclaimer, right, if you made the playoff
or play in you, cool, I mean,I'm not going to mention you on
this video, but we're going totalk about other teams.
There's some other teams thatwe need to talk about.
So, with that being said, let'sgo ahead and give our honorable
mentions, right, and I'm goingto go ahead and bring up the
list so that y'all know whatteams I'm talking about.
(00:51):
So, these are the teams, ladiesand gentlemen, that we got here
.
Y'all see them.
I'm going to just pay attentionto these real quick.
Ain't that something right?
All right.
So now that we're back on trackhere, let's go ahead and talk
about my honorable mention.
So we got to talk about theBrooklyn Nets.
(01:12):
Right, you should have tankedmore.
You genuinely should havetanked more.
You're at the fifth spot.
You're at one, two, three, four, five, six.
Look at y'all overachieving andlike who was on the squad this
season, bro, like dang, y'allshould?
(01:32):
I don't think y'all had enoughtalent to get the six from the
bottom.
Y'all should have done worse.
But again, though, not too bad,y'all should have just tanked a
little more.
That was me.
But again, they're on thehonorable mention list.
Let's talk about next the NewOrleans Pelicans.
Again, I do understand, right,y'all had injuries that really
derailed the team.
Your situation has not pannedout, though, for a couple of
(01:55):
seasons now.
I said before, years ago, theywere the dark horse of the NBA.
They went from the dark horseto my little pony real quick.
That's all I'm saying.
And now I even got to wonderabout Willie Green as a head
coach.
But honorable mention.
I put him here because Iunderstand the injuries did
derail them.
So it's unfortunate, but still, some of that I do pay attention
(02:18):
to.
But again, like I said, honorable mention list.
Let's move on up to theWashington Wizards.
Ladies and gentlemen, here'sthe thing, because this is
really contingent on if theydon't get the number one draft
pick.
That's a shame.
Keep in mind they're at thebottom right here.
Well, second to the bottomShould have been at the bottom,
shout out to the Jacks.
But as a Sparks fan, remembermy Sparks were number one at the
(02:43):
worst and we didn't get thenumber one pick.
So maybe the Washington Wizardscan still get the number one
pick, because I said they shouldget Cooper Flagg, where then he
can be coined the American flagand be on the Wizards, which is
residing in DC.
I think that's a nice littlename, a nice little situation.
So that's why I got him on thehonorable mention list.
(03:04):
But they try, they genuinelytry.
They say first is the worst, second is the best.
So maybe that's what happenshere.
I had no idea for the WNBA,right, like my God.
Let's go ahead and move on downto the 76ers Final team on my
honorable wish list, thehonorable mention list.
I mean.
Again, injuries were the mainissue.
(03:28):
When you have your four bestplayers not even eclipsing 65%
of the season played, that's anuphill battle.
Tyrese Maxey had 63% of theseason played.
Paul George had 50% of theseason played.
Joel and bead 23 and jaredmccain 28.
So I understand why they're atthe bottom of the barrel.
(03:49):
I genuinely do, but this, before the season started, was
supposed to be a contending team.
So I am torn between puttingthem on the honorable mention
list and on my actual list.
I was torn but I decided to putthem on the honorable mention
because of the injuries.
But, ladies and gentlemen, wehave talked about the honorable
mention.
So I got to talk about thethree teams that were my most
(04:12):
disappointing.
So, with that, with that andmake sure let me get my soapbox
we got to talk about the threeteams.
It was three of them boys.
It was three of them teams thatreally irritated the hell out
of me this season.
So let's start it off.
And again, y'all know thebottom of the barrel, right?
So I'm going to talk about theMiami Heat, the Toronto Raptors
(04:33):
and the Phoenix Suns.
Now, the Miami Heat.
Yes, I get it right.
Like you guys traded Jimmy, Ido understand.
That's a big piece, that's your, that's your first option.
Essentially, usually, when wesay, oh, remove this person,
move your star, and your team'sgoing to be blah, blah, blah,
blah, blah.
Well, we're seeing that pointin time right there at the play
(04:54):
in bottom of the barrel number10.
That's my issue, though, likeyou couldn't outplay a
dismantled Atlanta Hawks team.
Really, the Atlanta Hawks'second best player, which was
Jalen Johnson, didn't play morethan 36 games this total season.
We also couldn't outplay theChicago Bulls Again, I
understand Jimmy Butler was outStill like come on now.
(05:20):
Those two teams we couldn'toutplay, we couldn't get over
the hump for them too.
I don't know, they don't reallybode well.
And then people saying, well,we're going to see them in the
play-in, so we'll be fine, mm-mm, I don't like that mindset,
especially coming from this Heatteam.
So again, me, I'm disappointedin the Miami Heat because, yeah,
they're in the play-in.
(05:41):
They couldn't get past theHawks or the Bulls during the
regular season.
That's tough, even with theJimmy Drake beat.
But who?
I guess let's go ahead and moveon down then to the Toronto
(06:04):
Raptors, because, again, as atalent, I think the Toronto
Raptors should be a littlehigher than this.
Like you guys lost out to theChicago Bulls.
That's tough.
If you said you lost out to theHawks, I might be able to
understand it because of TreyYoung being there.
Trey Young's better than theRaptors players right now.
Maybe his gravity can help out.
Plus, jalen Johnson gave enoughplay and the Toronto Raptors
(06:25):
are not as experienced as theMiami Heat team is.
That's why I say the ChicagoBulls.
They were dismantled this year.
They ended up losing ZachLevine.
Their best player was NikolaVucevic, who was also in trade
discussions, trade rumors.
Really, we can't beat them.
Raptors, I'm going to startputting some pressure on y'all,
(06:47):
especially come next season, because y'all have all the
pieces in place.
So if you guys are not in theplayoffs next year I said
playoffs, not playing playoffs Igot to start looking at some
players a little differently now.
That's just me, BI bi scotty.
Some pressure on you.
So, and again, like there's toomuch talent on this squad, also
(07:07):
the coach, darko rockroshkovich, who the hell is that
we might need to get some new, some new blood up in in the
toronto rafters management and Isay coaching is part of
management.
So again, toronto, I was alittle disappointed.
I expected a little bit more.
But, ladies and gentlemen, andplease y'all see right here
(07:31):
where the Phoenix Suns are, because, again, I understand a
little bit about the Raptors.
I can understand about theMiami Heat.
I cannot understand the PhoenixSuns being as abysmal as they
(07:52):
were.
Ladies and gentlemen, we missedthe play-in.
I'm not a Suns fan, but I saywe because I'm a Kevin Durant
fan.
We missed the play-in.
I'm a Devin Booker fan.
We missed the play-in.
I'm a Devin Booker fan.
We missed the play-in.
That's tough.
There's way too much talent onthis team to miss the play-in.
Ladies and gentlemen, devinBooker should leave and I think
someone like the Knicks could bea good destination for him.
I always said he reminded me ofAllen Houston, the Lakers.
(08:15):
That could be a solid positionfor him.
That would be really cool.
To pair him up with Luka, theMavs even that could be nice.
What if you get him Kyrie AD?
That could be interesting.
Again, d-book should leave.
Kevin Durant probably is goingto leave, but my question is
should he stay for a legacyperspective, because now you're
(08:37):
going to be called well, likeyou already called a track star.
People keep saying you keeprunning shit when stuff gets
hard and I hate it because,again, I said I'm a Kevin Durant
fan.
So part of me thinks you shouldactually stay because the next
thing you go to, hopefully youretire with that squad.
No-transcript.
(08:58):
And like, the coach did getfired and that's the best thing
that the sun did this entireseason, which is sad.
Like, finally, because Ithought the coach was pissed
poor.
How do we not use a player likebobo, even if buddy comes off
as lazy, in, in, in in practice, and I get it right like
practice means a lot to me too.
(09:18):
Now don't get me wrong.
But Bobo also 7-2 in mobile.
We need to get him more PT,especially when you're a team
devoid of talent, or one oftalent but two of height.
Why not use Bobo?
He can stretch before he canprovide some rebounding.
15 minutes, that's not a lot oftime, but that's enough time
for him to get about six points, five rebounds in a block.
That's what you need if you'rethe Suns.
So again, again, for mecoaching didn't quite seem like
(09:41):
it was there.
And again, ladies and gentlemen,I've talked about how teams
were behind certain teams.
You were three games behind theMavs.
That was the closest team inthe West.
You were tied with the PortlandTrailblazers Trash Like, let's
not forget.
The Mavs had Kyrie that gotinjured.
They traded Lukauka.
(10:04):
Ad got injured.
Then they had Lively getinjured.
Gafford got injured.
There were so many people thatgot injured during their run and
they still outplayed the sun.
Gotta blow the team up.
Gotta blow the team up.
And Bradley Beal is about tolook the worst out of everybody
in this whole situation, butkeep in mind, though, he getting
(10:25):
paid, so I guess he cool rightLike.
This is my most disappointedteam.
I don't want to say ever, butin terms of a Kevin Durant team,
yeah, this is my mostdisappointing one right now.
Easily, because they playedenough games, they had enough
talent, they could have beencontenders and the fact that you
(10:48):
missed the play-in completelytrash.
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm at aloss for words.
So that concludes all of mydisappointing teams, and y'all
heard I definitely gave somegrace for a lot of teams, the
honorable mentions I talkednicely about, even the other two
(11:08):
, I gave you some.
I understand it, right?
The Sun, I can't understand itat all.
And again, kevin Durant's myfavorite player in the NBA to
watch, so the fact that he's onthe team now hurts even more so.
But you got to be fair, right?
So again, ladies and gentlemen, those are my list things, but
I'm curious, was there one thatI missed?
(11:31):
And I understand.
I said these are the teams thatdid not make the play in, even
though one of them did right theMiami Heat but still they
barely made that one, so Ithought I could sneak them in
there.
Was there a team that I missed?
We'll find out.
But as the playoff progress, wewill definitely talk about the
other teams and if I'mdisappointed in them as well too
.
But overall, ladies andgentlemen, please make sure to
(11:55):
like, subscribe, comment, tellanyone who's anyone about the
show.
My name is Trey.
I'm the host of Get a Bucket.
Hope you all are having.
